An isolated mountain village in Dungeon Country has unearthed a strange artifact while exploring a dungeon—an impossibly smooth obsidian spike, humming faintly with chakra. They’ve requested the Heart Empire send samurai to investigate its origin. The locals believe it to be a divine sign, while others suspect it’s a buried relic from an ancient war. Either way, the villagers won’t remove it until someone determines whether it’s a blessing… or a buried curse.

When Tsukiyotake's fungal network whispers of the dead being used to create twisted, spore-infested warriors, she realizes that her spores are being weaponized by rogue shinobi. Concerned that her peaceful gift has been corrupted, she sends out a call for help to stop the rogue group — the Verdant Claw — before the army of fungal undead spreads beyond control. Tsukiyotake is determined to end this corruption, but she cannot do it alone.
