Requesting [The Bannin Syaoran requests those who take the mission to help clean up rubble left throughout the village in the aftermath of Akino's final battle. Along with cleaning rubble, the clean up force may be assigned other duties as-well. You will be working with a large group of Genin, everyone in the clean up force being on a rotating shift schedule and are integral to aiding the reconstruction of the village.]
Time Limit for Mission One Week.

In the aftermath of Akino's final battle, the whole village was littered with rubble. Even in spots where there was no damage or fighting, rocks and dust from the destroyed peak- really all sorts of stuff from the buildings on it too covered the ground. This would have to be cleaned and the village would have to be restored to perfection. Not because it was at risk from outside forces, no, the guard was strong, but because the village needed to repair it's pride and return itself to feeling good.

And everyone in the village was helping out, especially the Genin. They were the main force of the clean-up, very few Chuunin and Jounin being made of use to move extremely heavy objects.

Eiko would find herself with two other genins, a large Jounin with a hat and clipboard furiously scribbling away. "Squad 3- you 3, I want you to clean up this immediate area, then had to the Jinrai sector and assist in that clean up. Be ware, some horrible people have been taking advantage of this and looting stuff." he said before departing.

There was liter all the way up and down the street. Fun.

Ugh more clean up. Eiko mentally groaned at the task she was being assigned. Of course she wasn't going to actually complain though. It was nice to be needed and she for one jumped at the opportunity to help the village. She just hadn't known that she was going to be clearing out rubble. She hadn't quite realized what she was dealing with at first but as it turned out there was rubble everywhere, not just rocks and dust from the peak that had been destroyed but also from destroyed buildings.

Which led to her current situation. She along with two others was currently receiving her instructions. So it seemed the job was to clean up the immediate area and then head over to the.. Jinrai sector. The very mention of it made her heart ache. Soru.. She hadn't seen him in a while and she was extremely worried but she tried to push it to the back of her mind. There was work to be done and she couldn't afford to be distracted, especially since hooligans happened to be running about, taking advantage of the crisis.

With that the Jounin who had been giving her instructions departed which meant it was time to get to work. The only question was.. how to start? There was litter all the way up and down the street and she had no idea where to even begin.

It wouldn't take long before the other two genin would just get to work. They didn't seem to wanna talk much, their only desire being to finish the task at hand. It seemed they each were just walking in a straight line down the street, clearing it out everything in their path. Eiko could easily follow suit. There was rubble elsewhere of course, though it was expected for the most part private property owners would take care of their properties and help their neighbors. These ninjas were here just to clean the public streets and help where requested.

Seeing that the other two obviously weren't wasting any time with pleasantries Eiko let out a quiet sigh and decided to get to work herself. This was going to be a bit of a big job but luckily she did have help. She quickly formed a set of seals, causing an Earth Clone to form out of the ground.

Deciding that one clone was enough for at least the moment it was now time to get to work. The question of where to start still remained though. I guess that I should probably just go in a different direction than the others. We can cover more ground that way but the individual areas will take that much longer to clear out. Oh well that's what I have clones for. Having decided on a course of action she headed in whichever direction the others didn't go and began clearing out everything in her path, herself gathering anything that could be cleared out by hand while her clone was there to break down the bigger pieces of rubble to make it easier for her to clear out.

After forming the needed hand seals and flooding the ground around them with chakra, the user will cause a clone to materialize out of the ground. The clone is made of rock, and is quite strong and durable, but can only move within a quarter mile of the user. The clone is only able to use taijutsu attacks, and has the following stats: 1 Taijutsu, 4 Stamina, 2 Strength, and 1 Speed.

The two were surprised when Eiko didn't come down their path to clear the same area, but they were more surprised by her making a clone. They hadn't thought of that! In fact, the thought never crossed their mind. Grinning, the two made at least 5 clones each, of water and of wind. "Good idea!" they yelled to her, sharing at least two words. With the clones the cleaning would go so well! The cleaning would go on for at least an hour, the group cleaning and cleaning and cleaning, and yet for everything they cleaned there would seem to be more things to clean.

Eventually, Eiko would find a puddle of blood and a giant boulder near it. It was disturbing to think, but people had died in these streets, after all, Raijin rampaged in the village for a short period before Akino and the unknown hero stopped him. She'd have to get the rock out of here... and maybe clean up the blood, or least get one of her better suited teammates to do it.

Eiko nodded in acknowledgment as the other two yelled out to her. She knew that the clone had been a good idea and was glad to know that others thought so too. Now the cleaning would go that much faster. With that she went back to cleaning, slowly beginning to grow frustrated as for everything they cleaned something else seemed to pop up in it's place. Agh there is such a mess. It's much worse than I had originally thought. Despite that though she kept cleaning, eventually coming across a puddle of blood with a giant boulder near it.

The sight of the blood made her shudder and was a little upsetting as she thought about the innocent people that had died in these streets and as a result the people that had been left behind. At least the attack had been stopped.. even with the heavy costs that had come with it. She shook her head to clear out the thoughts so she could focus on the work that had to be done. She had to get the rock out of here and clean up the blood. Just.. how am I supposed to get this blood out of here? I can take care of the rock but.. perhaps one of the other two can help.

Turning away from her current predicament she shouted out to her teammates hoping they could hear her. "Can one of you come over here? We've got a bit of a mess over here." Whether they heard her or not she turned back around, turning her attention to the giant boulder, wondering just how she was going to get rid of it. The easiest way would be to just break it up and then clear out the remains.. but perhaps there was a less messy way to go about it. In the end though she decided to go with breaking it up. First she performed another set and seals, creating another Earth Clone after which she pulled an explosive tag out of her pouch and slapped it on the boulder, detonating it quickly afterwards. With that out of the way they would get to work clearing out whatever remained of the boulder.

The genin were hesitant at first and looked back and forth at each other attempting to decided which one of them would go. Eventually, they both nodded. They each made more clones, and the original with suiton stumbled her way towards Eiko. When she arrived she noticed the blood stains and let out a huge scream of shock.

It would be more than a scream though. The girl would shake and shudder, her arms pulling tight to her body as she looked at the blood. This was the first time a lot of people in this village would see things like this.

As she was about to get to work with the boulder Eiko heard footsteps approaching followed shortly after by a loud scream. She quickly turned around and the color drained from her face as she saw the girl freaking out at the sight of the blood. She had been able to push it out of her mind but she had forgotten that others might not be capable of the same.

So instead of as she originally had planned she simply had her clone get to work on cutting the boulder down to size while she walked over to the girl and knelt down, placing her hand on the girl's shoulder and give her an assuring look, hoping to calm her down but not quite sure what to say.

The girl still sobbed unable to balance herself. There was blood... crimson red blood on the streets, and whose blood? It was the blood of their people? How could this have happened. She continued to cry for a little bit as Eiko calmed her eventually catching herself and regaining her composure. Her hands sealed and water poured forth from her mouth hitting the ground and scrubbing it clean.

She stayed silent from there.

As for the boulder, Eiko would have to get it out of the way still.

Eiko let out a relieved sigh as the girl managed to calm down. It truly had been awful that their people had died during the incident and she couldn't really blame the girl for having freaked out.

Soon enough the girl had regained her composure and cleaned up the puddle. It was a relief to see the blood gone but she still wondered just whose blood that had been. Anyways she turned towards the girl and smiled. "Thank you." With that said she turned back towards the boulder. She still had to get it out of the way, her clone had been chipping away at it but it wasn't enough. She approached the boulder and had her clone back up. She reached into her pouch and pulled out an explosive tag. This was going to be messy but it was the best method she could think of without wasting time. She slapped the tag on the boulder and backed up a bit, detonating the tag followed by she and the clone cleaning up whatever had been left of the boulder.

The two girls would have no problem at all clearing out the rubble and remains of the boulder. In fact, with all their clones the small group would wind up making a dramatic push, cleaning a large section of main street as they worked. It was practically enough to call their job done, only twenty minutes left in their shift to finish the rest. By now it was beginning to darken, just a tad, the way the atmosphere of a late afternoon was.

"STOP THAT MAN" someone screamed. Almost a blur a figure took off, knocking over the girl beside Eiko in his path. He was very fast. "HE LOOTED MY STORE!" an old man yelled- an old smith to be exact. His store front had been smashed in the event and now defenseless for crooks.

The boy genin with Doton was in his path and dived for his foot, making contact and knocking the guy over. They would struggle before both getting up and continuing their escape/chase.

Soon enough the boulder was gone and the group had managed to clear out a large section of the street. Eiko had a warm feeling as she looked over the street, relieved at how empty it seemed now that a large portion of the rubble was gone. They didn't have much time left to finish the rest though as it was already late afternoon and their shift was almost over.

At that moment though someone screamed and a figure ran past them, knocking over the girl beside her. "What the?" Whoever that had been was really fast. Before she could spend any more time wondering who it had been though as the next shout answered it for her. The blur had robbed an old smith's store just because it was defenseless as the store front had been smashed during the incident.

She didn't waste any time, first forming a set of hand seals and focusing chakra through her legs, stimulating them, and then running after the man. Really it was sick that someone would take advantage of this crisis and she wouldn't let it stand. Luckily the boy was in the man's path and managed to knock him over. They weren't down for long but it was enough for her to have closed some distance. I have to slow him down somehow. It didn't take long for her to come up with an idea. She formed a set of hand seals and focused chakra into the ground, creating a pothole just in front of the man. It was a risky move but it was better than nothing.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A technique focused on boosting the user's speed, Speedster begins with a set of handseals. After they are completed, the user will focus chakra throughout their legs to stimulate them. With this extra stimulation, users are able to run more quickly (+1 speed) at the cost of their control over other techniques (-1 control). This technique lasts for three (3) posts.

Earth Release - Pothole
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals the user channels chakra into the ground causing a pothole to form anywhere within 10 feet of them. The pothole isn't big enough to seriously impede the opponent but if stepped in it can cause an individual with less than 3 taijutsu to stumble.

The figure was swiping to his side at the boy who was in tow with him. It was keeping up, and finally pushed the boy off of itself. The boy went tumbling over to the side rolling as he kicked up dirt from the street. Eiko closed in on him, pushing her speed to the top. This figure was faster than her, but using her head she had formed a jutsu meant to trip him up. It would have worked too, except the figure suddenly faded. Was it an illusion?

From behind the girl who had been knocked over screamed. She was trying to get up onto her feet, her hand pointing to a figure attempting to scale the mountain side. It was moving very slowly, however was quite a bit away from the boy and the girl. They had chased an illusion. Come to think of it they never saw the old man who had yelled out those things, because that in fact was the trigger.

The figure scaling the wall looked quite young, probably genin-ish in age.

Eiko continued running, expecting the figure to at least be tripped up long enough for them to catch him. She however wasn't at all expecting him to suddenly vanish soe she skidded to a stop in shock. An illusion? She gritted her teeth as she inwardly wanted to slap herself for not having at least considered the possibility.

Before she could think about it any further she heard a scream which upon turning around was revealed to have come from the girl who had been knocked over and was currently pointing towards the mountain side. Eiko began running in the direction the other girl was pointing, in order to get a better view of the situation. As she got closer it was revealed to be someone slowly climbing the mountain side, a young someone in fact, probably around genin age. So we did chase an illusion meant to distract us. Truthfully she was just guessing but it seemed fairly logical. The only question was why someone would have wanted to distract them and try to escape.

It doesn't matter. She began running faster, wanting to see what the stranger was up to.

[Taiga]

Heh. Hehehe. Hahahaha! Who the hell did these brats think they were? They weren't gunna stop the worlds most evil criminal, Aruda! He was unstoppable, in their prime! He continued to scale the mountain his illusion finally fading and ending the genin chase with a quick halt. It seemed the girl was now focusing on him, along with the boy.

They didn't do anything yet so he continued to climb, drawing his tanto just in case.

Eiko continued to run towards the mountain wanting to catch the figure that was obviously trying to escape from something or maybe someone. Soon enough she began to scale the mountain after the figure, with the boy close behind her. They were getting closer and the figure began to get clearer It was definitely a boy.. but what could he possibly have been after? She formed a set of hand seals and thrust her hand forward, causing any pebbles in the immediate area to fly forward towards him. I've got you now. Hopefully he would be slowed down further, at least enough for her to be able to completely catch up to him.

*[Earth Element • Pebblestorm]
E-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals, the user will thrust their hand forward, causing pebbles that are within five feet of the user to fly forward at the target at a speed of two. The pebbles aren't able to really hurt anyone but they can be annoying, as this technique only effects rocks that are no larger than an inch in diameter. They can be sent a maximum distance of ten feet.

The girl and the boy weren't stopping as they began to scale their way up the mountain. For whatever reason they didn't use ninja techniques, which was interesting, but then again he didn't either... because truth be told he didn't know how to ninja walk up things. He had cheated his way through the academy after all...

The boy had been further up than Eiko, and grabbed for the thief boy's foot. He kicked and shook it, kicking the boy in the face who promptly slipped, falling and barely catching himself before hitting the ground. Eiko still continued, and the thief didn't get why the girl wouldn't just give up!

Suddenly pebbles began to belt his face.

"Aghhh!" he let out a frustrated growl. They weren't damaging but a big hindrance and annoyance. He put his arm up to block them, continuing to climb albeit slower with his right hand and legs. When the flurry of pebbles stopped he formed a set of seals, then continued to climb, water pouring down the path beneath him.

Slippery Slippy
E-Rank Ninjutsu
This technique causes a stream of water to form near the users feet creating a slippery puddle of water. It's pretty simple and generally easily beaten by anyone with more than 2 taijutsu, however when used in the right terrain it can be one helluva a technique!

Eiko continued climbing after the boy, she was determined to catch him. She wasn't really quite sure why but she felt that she just had to do it. The pebbles had succeeded in slowing him down just a bit but soon enough her flurry of pebbles had stopped and after he had recovered had begun forming hand seals.

As he had begun forming seals she had moved over to the side, a smart decision it had seemed as water had begun to pour down the path directly below the boy. She continued her climbing, beginning to move a bit faster. I can't let him get away. I she ever caught up to him she would attempt to grab him with one hand while holding on to the mountain side with the other.

[Taiga]

The boy peered down, the girl was still climbing towards him and beneath him, his water hurling her way. He'd have to keep climbing! He was almost to the top too! Just one more push, and if he made it, he'd be good to go. Hopefully his water would take care of her once and for all! Well, if the girl hadn't moved. Her move would be successful and she would be able to evade the water as she began climbing faster. "Shit!" the boy exasperated his free hand sealing again. He was beginning to panic.

The same stream of water would go flowing down the side of the mountain.

[Kabu]

Just a little bit further and she would be able to catch him. She pushed herself to climb faster and higher. They were nearing the top so she had to catch him now or he would get away. I can't let him get away. It's only a little bit further, I can do it." The boy began forming more hand seals and she moved to the side out of it's path as more water started forming. She pushed herself as far as she could safely go and reached for the boy attempting to grab him with her free hand. Come on.. I can do this.

[Taiga]

The girl once more decided to move to the side to avoid the incoming onslaught of slippery water. It was wise because being caught in the water would mean a serious fall from this height. On the other hand, the boy was attempting to make his way up the cliff and was just about to do it, his hand reaching to pull himself up when someone grabbed his leg. He squirmed. Damn it! She had agood grasp on him. He began to panic.

"I'll make us both fall! We'll both get hurt!" He was bargaining.

[Kabu]

Aha! She had finally gotten a-hold of him but damn was he a squirmer. She stayed resolute though and held on tight. He seemed to be in a state of panic as he began either bargaining or making threats.. she wasn't sure which and she didn't know if she cared. On one hand he was part of the village but on the other hand he had seemed desperate to escape capture which led to suspicion. She didn't have any doubts about one thing though and it was that he needed to come clean. "There's no way that I'm letting you get away. You have to come back with me and come clean about whatever you did. The village is in a crisis right now and you should be ashamed for trying to take advantage of that."

[Taiga]

The girl grabbing his leg was only a minor set back. He could not not escape, he had to go! He quickly screamed in response to her words before she could gain anymore grip, his leg squirming. He couldn't seal without falling. Damnit, damnit damnit. Well then he'd take her with him! He'd squirm, fight, kick, scratch and do whatever he could to take her off balance, but it did not work. He was locked clean in place. Stopped.

"I just wanted to be a ninja. A good one with smoke bombs and such, and knives and this tanto!" he cried. "I just wanted the shiny tanto."

Having done their cleaning job and apprehending a looter, albeit not much of a criminal, Eiko and her squad would be let go of for the day to rest and eat.
