"Damn, it's hot out today"
Wiping the sweat from his brow with his left arm, Isuzu checked his armband to see how much he was perspiring. Though some are unaware, it's actually not good when you stop sweating on a hot day. This means the body is drying out and is often the first warning sign of dehydration. This can cause the body to overheat, leading to heat exhaustion or worse, as well as fatigue or passing out. Noticing there wasn't as much sweat as he'd expected, along with how hot he was, Zu decided to take a quick break and get some fluids in his system. He let out a quick breathe and walked over to where his bag was a few yards away, near a log he sat on during breaks.
He took a couple small sips, then proceeded to take in his surroundings. He'd set up 4 dummies located around him in a 10m circle corresponding to the four cardinal directions. He'd then set up 4 more dummies located at the supplementary directions at 15m away. There were a few kunia and shrunken sticking out of them, with a few more on the ground around them. This was nothing out of the usual, though. He typically spent 6-8 hours a week at this very spot, moving around and throwing projectiles at targets. If you don't use it, you'll lose it, they say. His ability with projectiles wasn't something he was willing to lose.
Another few sips hit his throat, now focusing on those around him, farther away. This was the singular most important thing his teachers imparted on him while teaching him in the academy. Projectiles are no laughing matter, and a missed target can easily end up injuring a by-stander, or worse. It didn't appear that anyone was in immediate vicinity of him, though there was a young boy snapping his fingers, causing fire to flicker when he did so. But he was positioned pretty well behind a dummy, and based on the angles it would be nearly impossible for Isuzu to hit him. If it got close, he'd be sure to yell out.
With another couple of sips, Zu close the bottle and tossed it on the ground near his bag. He sipped because he'd be taught that this was the best way to get water back into your system. It's not a good idea to flood the system with water too fast; rather one should gradually reinroduce water back through small sips over a short period of time. He could feel the dryness leaving his mouth and throat, which was a good sign. The initially sips must be just now entering his system.
Placing his hand down to his holster, he grabbed himself a kunai by the hole on the bottom of the handle, slinging it around on his finger as he walked back to the center of the circle. There was a new technique he'd been working on for a while now. Since he wasn't much of an offensive ninjutsu user, his chakra went untapped in some battles. Because of this, he'd had the idea of adding chakra to his projectiles to create stronger attacks with them.
Quickly doing hand signs, Zu sent that chakra into his projectile, focusing the flow of his chakra into the hand he was holding it in. It began to glow a light blue color around it, signifying that he'd succeeded in sending the necessary chakra to the projectile. He then quickly looked up and made a throw right at the dummy directly in front of him. It hit the target, but not with the desired 'umph' he'd hoped the projectile would hit with. He mustn't have sent enough chakra to the kunai to keep it infused while in flight, or when it left his hand. Taking another kunai out, he did the same hand signs, this time placing both hands on the kunai, one around the handle and the other over the blade. It began to glow with a richer hue of blue. A small smirk creased his face, and Zu let the kunai fly at the same dummy he'd just thrown the other at. It struck in the same spot as the previous one, and went straight through the dummy, losing a little momentum but traveling straight towards the young boy who'd been snapping earlier.
"Watch out!" He began to run towards the kid, and let a kunai fly from his hands as he did so, aimed directly at the point right in front of the kid where the kunai should be based on the speed it was traveling now. Right before the kunai struck the boy, his kunai hit the blade, causing them to both begin spinning and go in opposite directions, landing on the ground past the boy a couple of feet.
He approached the kid, looking down at the ground as he did so. He was embarrassed, and didn't like talking to other that much as it.
"Heh....Uh, sorry about that." He looked up just enough to see the boys face, but didn't lift his head much. It was still angled downwards.

D-Rank Nintaijutsu
Prerequisite: Rotation Shot
After performing the needed handseals, the user invests a small amount of chakra into a projectile before release. The chakra adds power to the shot, causing it to strike with +1 Strength worth of force at normal range, or to strike for normal damage at up to 1.5 times its normal maximum range.
