So reading up on puppetry, and as I was going through the Human Puppet rules, a thought crossed my mind.
  • If you had a human puppet with an ability stat, does the puppeteer need an ability stat for the techniques of said Human Puppet?

This is more of a case by case basis thing. In terms of genma and spirits, it's likely the seal would be disrupted upon death, and either release the spirit, or simply trap it inside the body with no real way to harness the energy. However, if it didn't disrupt the seal, or it was some other kind of ability stat, then the ability stat would remain on the human puppet, since you're using access to their chakra and blah blah blah.

The seal would most likely be released upon the host's death.

okay; thank you, and no not talking about genma hosts. Although, with Tenkujutsu; could you turn your puppets into Tsukimogami?
