The world of NSRP has many species of animals. These ranges from your normal breeds of dogs and cats to animals mutated by long exposure to chakra or extreme elements. The entries below are representative of those such entities that are different or extreme enough in nature to be taken notice of and recorded by most major establishments within the world of NSRP. Members may submit entries to this collection by submitting an application for such a creature in the Registration forum where their application may be found.

    Arctic Bear-SealShow
    Arctic Bear-seal
Species Name: Pennipedia Arctus Ursus Felidus Primus
Method of Movement: Floppy movement on land, graceful swimmer.
Size range: up to 6 meters long
    Daily activity cycle: Nocturnal
    Favored climate: Arctic
Favored terrain: Arctic coastal and river areas
Range of Activity: Lightning Country, Snow country, Northern Earth Country.
    Diet: Carnivore
Physical Description: Large seals with tusks that face upward and a horn like a narwhal, these carnivores are all bite and no bark. Their bark is so deep that it can be felt and sounds like a detonation rather than anything. It is also in such a low register that most humans are not able to hear it with their own ears. The pups make a loud growling noise when they feel threatened and their movements shake the ice when they’re combatant with one another. They range from grey to an almost bluish white.
Distinct traits: Besides their tusks and narwhal like protrusion (also a tusk) they have claws on their front fins which they use to burrow into the ice. They also have a sting on their tail in which they carry a neurotoxin able to kill some whales, which they love to feast upon. That and Frigid Cod.
    Threat: B-S dependent upon medium.

    Arctic LeopardShow
    Arctic Leopard
    Species Name: Felus Largus Arctus

    Daily activity cycle: Diurnal
    Favored climate: Cold
    Favored terrain: Mountains, Arctic, subarctic
Range of Activity: Lightning country, Snow country, Northern Earth country.
    Diet: Carnivore
Physical Description:A sleek snowy white, this animal has 10 hairs per follicle which puts it at the most plush of all the creatures of the land of lightning. The arctic leopard isn’t as cuddly as one might think though, as it is extremely territorial and loyal to its offspring and mate. They hunt in prides much as a lion does, rather than being lonely, which makes them all the more formidable. They are even courageous enough to die while their family gets away from the Snow Badgers, its only natural predator.
Distinct traits: While the Arctic leopard does have fur on its whole body, it is to keep it insulated when it moves down from the arctic into the subarctic or even for very rare and short durations into the more temperate climes against the warmth. The Arctic leopard is endothermic, but has a body temperature of -46 degrees celsius and its blood has been used in many different tonics to make sure that shinobi stay cool in the hottest of desserts. For this, and their furs, they are highly sought after, but given wide berth by any shinobi who values their life. They are capable of taking down all but the Snow Badgers with ease. Their bite is said to leave instantaneous and irreparable frost bite if left untreated for longer than an hour.
Threat: S to S+ Danger! Do not Engage!

Physical Description: Cannon Tortoise are bipedal tortoise-like reptiles with a spherical body covered by a shell of plated rocks. This shell is so hard that even exploding tags cannot scratch it. Its head protrudes from the center of the shell. The head has a flat snout with two pointed teeth in the lower jaw and red eyes. Its face attracts iron sand, creating the appearance of a mustache, eyebrows, and a large black beard. It has short arms that have three claws and two legs with feet that have four claws in front and one in back. The head and limbs are light brown in color. They grow bigger by shedding their skin once a year. The discarded shell immediately hardens when exposed to air, crumbling away and returning to the soil. Males have two large, black rocks with a smaller rock in-between, forming a shape of a cannon jutting out of the top of its body. Females lack this protrusion and are known to freely roll around while the cannon prevents males from doing so. Males are capable of firing the small rock by using magnetism. The rock will be electrically charged, creating shocks across the whole area of impact.
Distinct traits: Able to launch boulders from its 'cannon' through innate magnetism.

The shell's rim has two circular indents where its eyes are visible. Its eyes have yellow sclerae and vertically-slit pupils. It has an oval mouth with a four-sectioned, fang-like beak. It attacks only when prey comes near its tentacles and uses them to ensnare its prey before biting down with the deadly force of its beak. Its fangs are powerful enough to crush through rocks. With the shell broken, it would suck out the contents.

Range of Activity: Lightning country, Snow country, Northern Earth country.
    Diet: Omnivorous
Physical Description: The biggest natural iteration of the badger that has been discovered in the wild of the shinobi world, this massive brute is the only predator of the dreaded Arctic Leopard. Its white over-coat on the top with its coal-black underbelly and white eyes lend it to be a ghostly incarnation of the honey-badger. It burrows deep into the Arctic leopards dens, along with anything that it might sniff out and rips apart anything that is foolish enough to get in its way with its razor sharp claws and teeth, said to be capable of rending even chakra-infused steel apart.
Distinct traits: This animal, along with being a rough and tough contender, with a coarse hide that is able to deflect most bladed blows, is also completely immune to the venom of the Snow Taipan, the poison shinobi frog, and most other poisons. The Snow Taipan is one of the toughest snakes out there, able to take a blow from a sword to the base of its neck with little to no damage, it is also one of the most venomous snakes in the shinobi world.
Distinct traits: The venom that the Snow Taipan secretes when biting is able to, in one drop, paralyze all functions, leading to acute hypoxia, instant cardiac arrest, and major failure to all organs. The bite, should the snake have had no teeth still leaves a rotting wound which festers after only a couple of days, leading to eventual death from decay and gangrene. The Carterius gland, named after Santori Carterius, secretes the antidote for the poison that the poison shuriken frogs secrete on their skin.

    Diet: Omnivore (Insects & Plants)
Physical Description: The trunked board is a massive pig-like creature with dark black fur. It's fur is thick and often mangey. What makes it different from other boars however is it's tusks tend to be far longer, and rather than a snout, it has a long trunk similar to that of an elephant. A massive and ferocious creature, the trunked boar looks heavy in all aspects of it's gait and appearance.
Distinct traits: Trunked Boars have a legendary temper and will go on rampages if provoked. Their size and power along with their tusks and ability to constrict things using their trunk make them very dangerous to humans who get in their way and bother them, even if they only eat bugs and plants. The general rule in the areas where they are found is stay out of their way.

In recent years the population has diminished due to the underground sales of their tusks and pelts.

Both sides of its chest, the center of its back, and its knees have two triangular holes. There is a gray, diamond-shaped patch of scales covering its belly, and a smaller one on its back. It has three claws on its feet and hands. A ring of spikes surrounds the tip of its tail.

Varanus Tyrannus are extremely strong, and its thick, rocky hide gives it good resistance to all forms of attack. Because of this, it is always looking for a battle and will not flinch at anything, though it ignores opponents that it thinks are not worth its time.

Registration formShow

You can register creatures for the bestiary either individually or in-bulk. Staff will be discerning in what is allowed. Animals in the bestiary should be sufficiently different enough from anything currently existing so that we don't have 5 different flightless birds that just come with different feather color. The bestiary is not a substitution for summons or mythical creatures, meaning species submitted should be grounded in reality, culturally or regionally significant, and so forth.
