Exhibition: Xi vs Yoru

[Ace Trainer]

The arena has a 25m radius and is mostly comprised of grass land, trees to provide some shelter and texture to the battlefield. However, 5m from the wall surrounding the entire arena is sandy terrain. The arena is marked by a 20m high wall that is built in the shape of a doughnut, the seats are layered with ten rows running along the whole perimeter of the arena. There is a tower that is supported by pillars and columns above the northers side of the stadium, this is where the representatives of other nations are seated. The participants have the own place to wait until their turn, it is at the bottom section of the wall surrounding the battlefield and has a viewing window that allows the participants to watch fighting that take place. Xi will begin at the eastern most point, standing directly in front of the sand. Yoru will begin at the western most point, standing directly in front of the sand.

The judges for this bout will be Nu, Sha, and Ji (all judges will be controlled by Onu sicne he's not participating in this event and it will expedite the process (maybe))

Xi posts first.

A simple looking figure, simply wearing the standard jounin attire of his homeland with his hands in each pocket entered the arena, simply sighing to himself as this was really not what he had signed up for when he had volunteered to be apart of this grand international chuunin event. But his pride as a Iwa-nin couldn't allow for the dark haired man to run away at this point and so he could only suck it up and put on foot in front of the other as he stepped across the exterior circle of sand landing his feet on the soft patchy grass of the arena he stood within. 'To late to turn back now...'

Four orbs sprung to life as the detached themselves from the man's diagonally worn sash as the battle soon began after the red haired Konoha shinobi entered the arena, something oddly familiar about the man's features pinged in Xi's mind but he shook off the thought just as quickly. As the bout began two of the four orbs shot forward as the other two remained close to him, on on either side of him about one meter in front of the man. Four golden eyes snapped open, one upon each of the soul orbs before the two orbs nearest the jounin grew to about a meter in size while the two flying forwards (at forty control) grew to around two meters in size each. At this time the man had closed one of his eyes to focus on the new field of view granted by the Eyes of Insight which revealed the level of chakra of the fighter across from him that his orbs went to attack in a probing manner. 'What a scary man....'

Two orbs attacks, opening their large metal tooth filled mouths attempting to take a nibble from the man as the other two flowed just a few feet of the ground protecting the flanks of the young man as he'd never seen this man before but something still caused for the man to have some form of familiarity, which in itself scared him. Because if the man was well enough known that even a foreign shinobi like himself should know him it was a testament to just how strong the figure in the ring with him currently must be.

Yoru stood on the edge of the arena, just in front of the sound. The murmurings could be heard again and even a few light boos, especially after he forfeited his bout with Proximus.

His single hazel eye glared at the man in front of him, Yoru had intended to use these exhibition bouts to learn about his opponents and the respective villages they came from, however Xi had fought in the challenge bouts and Yoru felt he didn’t have much more to learn from the man so he didn’t plan to exert himself and not waste much time.

A klaxon rang out, to indicate the bout could begin.

As he intended, he wanted this to be over quickly he channelled chakra through his chakra system, he felt a surge of pins and needles across his skin and the hairs on the back of his neck began to stand up on end. The orbs charged towards him, attempting to nip at him, he flung himself up and backwards, flipping in the air avoiding the incoming orbs.

Landing back on the ground with a soft thud, he yelled out as chakra ripped through his tenketsu, taking the physical manifestation of electricity. Blue sparks filled the arena in its entirety with incredible speed, hopefully destroying the orbs and paralysing Xi in the process.

Taijutsu • Oscillating Hand Seals

Prerequisite: [Acrobatics & Deft Hands
The user has the ability to perform hand seals from almost any position, whilst flipping, spiralling and performing other acrobatic techniques. This allows the user to move backwards and prepare ninjutsu and the like without losing any momentum or speed.

Raiton • Thunder Cloud (50 Control)
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channelling chakra through their body, the user will release a powerful field of electricity from their tenketsu all around them in a ‘cloud’ of an area of 100 metres. It will cause fully body paralysis for 2 posts and the target will receive 2nd degree burns. Speed and Strength equal to the user’s control.

Through the eyes of his orbs as they rapidly advanced upon the red haired Leaf shinobi, Xi was able to see the immense amount of chakra spiraling through the man's slender frame, it was enough to cause beads of sweat to form on the back of the man's head. There was no time to save his advancing pair of orbs as he to pushed backwards and high up into the air as one orb positioned itself below the man's feet as they contacted gentle with one another with a simple tap. The second orb that had been floating off to his left rose in the air with him and the other orb that he was now standing upon as it began to glow brightly as chakra surged into its chakra receiver from the jounin himself.

Neglecting the two orbs that had been attacking Yoru, his sole focus came upon the one before him as they were blasted away and sent careening off into the solid stone walls that surrounded the arena perimeter. The electric cloud began to spread outwards from the Bannin's body as the orb in front of Xi opened its mouth revealing the blue glow of chakra radiating out from within as it had been compressed within and was ready for release. A counter offensive was launched at the cloud as from the mouth of the orb, retricting its size to stay within the size of the arena as to not potentially harm anyone outside of its boundaries. But the blast itself would take up the whole area inside as it smashed against the cloud with the user's full control (50). 'This guy...he's to strong!'

The chakra surged from Yoru’s body filling the arena with immense electrical power, destroying two of the orbs with relative ease. The Bannin pondered if he had any attacks at least, powerful ones that didn’t rely on the orbs? If so, perhaps Yoru would focus on destroying them rather than damaging the man himself.

His eye darted between the man and the remaining orbs, watching them with interest as Yoru stood in the central point of the cloud of ration, though not technically a cloud it was simply a large mass of electricity. The orb opened wide, releasing a powerful blast of chakra directly at Yoru, luckily the mass of chakra worked enough of a defence for it to simply keep hurtling forward.

Either way, Yoru wasn’t taking any chances and certainly didn’t intend to stand stil, it was apparent that Xi was proficient with ninjutsu and the blast’s from the orb was incredibly fast, Yoru would need to make himself a hart target to hit. Withdrawing a kunai, he leaped high into the air, allowing a little sage chakra into his system as the ration chakra around him dissipated, flexing his back as large orange wings spread from his back, ripping through his haori as though it was made from paper.

He looked directly at Xi, and weaved a flurry of hand seals hoping that Xi would look at notice that he was performing a set of seals, if he did notice Xi would fall under Yoru’s genjutsu and would now have double vision unable to tell which Yoru was real and which wasn’t. Yoru withdrew a second kunai, wielding one in each hand his wings flapped heavily as he darted through the air, weaving in and out at a rapid speed towards Xi, hoping to get close. Though not attacking, just yet.

Senpo • Wingpsan of Tengu
D-Rank Sentaijutsu
The user will allow sage chakra to enter their system and flex around their back, instantly growing a pair of large wings, with a wingspan of 16 feet and 2 feet tall that allow the user to fly, equal to their own [Speed]. They have a strength equal to the users [Control] and will last until they are broken.

Utilizing this Maneuver, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Having extensive experience with Deft Hands the user is able to manipulate a kunai within their hands and perform hand seals at full speed, without having to put down the kunai at any point.

[Genjutsu • Double Trouble]
C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will perform a sequence of hand seals, anyone who sees these hand seals will start to see double vision. They will see everything twice and will be unsure of which is the real sight, and which isn’t. This will last for two posts.

'Wings?' How strange a man was this Konoha shinobi, Xi even lifting his left eyebrow in a slightly puzzled look as his blast and the one from the man had more or less neutralized one another...this man's ninjutsu skill was at least on par with his own which was a feat in and of itself as he had been praised for it by the village, especially at his current age. The hand signs being weaved were easily caught by the man's multiple fields of view from his currently active orbs as the strange man took to the sky, the wings that had ripped through the man's haori wasn't wings of chakra but appeared to be actual bird-like wings. Some time of ability of body modification, living with the Akari clan the man had seen a few things so he wasn't completely taken back but the wings but a slight hint of fear couldn't help but form in the back of the man's mind as he no longer had an aerial advantage like he would normally have against another.

It was at this time that the man's genjutsu took effect and he split into two people, the obvious answer was that the hand seals were used to create some form of clone technique, but fight against numbers was never a real problem for the man with his kit and clones were often chakra intensive when used. The same orb that had fired the blast shot upwards as four, ten meter long curved blades of chakra came swirling to life as it attempted to pass right between the two visions of the Bannin, using its speed and swirling blades to attack both simultaneously with the increased range of the attack (Orb moving at 45 speed, shuriken blades spinning at 35 speed/strength). Not having yet realized that instead of a clone he had fallen into a simple clone genjutsu...

Soul Orb: Death Shuriken
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing hand seals, each orb under the user's control will gain a set of four one meter curved blades of chakra that extend out to twenty five meters in length possessing a strength of [Control], the blades rapidly turning around the orb, giving them the appearance of spinning shuriken as the blades rotate around the soul orbs at a speed of [Control]. These shuriken blades last for the next six posts.

The two Yoru flied in the air, the flaps sounded heavy and strong knocking wind back and forth with each individual stroke, as they flapped through the air as the orb hurtled towards them. It seemed far too slow to really be effective, but perhaps that was the point? Allow Yoru to focus on the orb whilst Xi prepared a secondary attack but there seemed to be no such attack. Both Yoru weaved through the blades with ease, though it appeared as though one blade cut right through the illusion as the real Yoru was focused on another. Perhaps Xi had noticed? Perhaps he didn’t. Either way, Yoru intended to end this bout soon.

Weaving a flurry of seals as quickly as he could manage creating a shadow clone, though Yoru would be aware of the orb and the shuriken, it would probably soon be on him again.

All three Yoru, weaved a flurry of hand seals and positioned themselves in a triangular pattern around Xi electricity poured down their arm and into the kunai in their hand. Flying through the air, side to side weaving through the skys directly towards Xi all leaving after images of where they once were, it would be difficult to tell the difference between, Yoru, the clone and the illusion and to top of that each of them leaving an array of after images, they’d move closer and closer thrusting their kunai directly towards Xi at a rapid rate. Usually this attack would aim for the heart, but it would now be aimed lower towards none vital organs. Yoru certainly had no intention of killing the man.

At least not yet.

Taijutsu • Unwavering Defence
S-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: Perception, Acrobatics, Taijutsu • Contortionist & 45 Speed
The user has mastered the art of evasive maneuvers, combining their perception, acrobatic abilities and high speed, the user will move with either small micro movements or large swooping movements, combining their contortionist ability to move into almost unperceivable positions, the user is better able to avoid any incoming taijutsu or projectile attacks, as long as they are within 10 points of speed and can see the attack coming. They move in such a way it can be striking and often catch an opponent off guard, moving at such speed if their opponent doesn’t have a perception technique of the same level, they won’t even see the user move, often seeing either nothing or a blur.

Having extensive experience with Deft Hands the user is able to manipulate a kunai within their hands and perform hand seals at full speed, without having to put down the kunai at any point.

*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Shadow Clone Technique]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the user's stamina). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for stamina, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect. The advantage of this form of the technique is that once dispersed, the chakra distributed to the clones returns to the user, allowing any un-used chakra to be regained, slowing the draining usage of this technique. The chakra returns to the user at a different rate depending on the user's control.

Ochiba • Raiton: Aogera x 2 (50 Control)
S-Ranked Nintai Maneuver
Prerequisite: 45 Speed
The user will weave a sequence of hand seals, usually with Single Finger Seals and holding a kunai, they engulf their arm and a kunai with Raiton chakra that extends 2.5m from the users arm. They will charge forward with incredible speed, moving so fast they leave after images of where they once was confusing their opponent, one per 2m the user runs. As they get closer, they will side step, leaving an after image of they once were and lunge upwards towards the opponents heart, the raiton will however cause paralysis before the kunai hits it mark, freezing the opponent and making it difficult for them to avoid the attack. They will then rip through their chest and through their heart. They will also not be able to see the user as they are moving at such striking speeds, unless they have a perception technique of equal level. If the target does manage to survive, they will be paralysed for 3 posts. This attack can also be performed without Raiton but without the benefits of paralysis.

("At least not yet." Heh, I see what you did there.)

It would seem that Xi had misjudged the man, a figure listed in the bingo book. Though his death shuriken had claimed the lives of a number of foreign shinobi during the Great War due to its large size and destructive power, even at just this level, it almost seemed like child's play to the more seasoned bannin before him who used the power and agility that came with his new feathered wings to slide between the swirling blades but what he was able to see was the 'clone' was cleanly hit but wasn't damaged. Had it been a basic bunshin that he'd been fooled by or something else? Currently the young genin hadn't the time to think about that but at the very least he knew it wasn't real allowing him to focus on the man who had just evaded the chakra blades who was forming a familiar hand seal, even with a kunai in hand, for the shadow clone technique.

'Seems he's getting serious...' As a reaction to his opponent easily weaving through the orb his own orb shot backwards to create space as the man created a clone of himself, this one at least appeared to be legit in the man's mind now. The orb he was standing upon rotated so that the mouth of the orb was directly below his feet now as it the man channeled chakra chakra causing his body to glow slightly, sending chakra from himself into the receiver inside the orb below him. He could already tell that he was far slowly at accelerating due to his channeling leaving him open to the man to rapidly close the gap that Xi had initially created as arcs of Raiton and afterimages flooded the sky closing in on him.

It was no or never, Xi didn't have the skill to decipher which was the real body or the clone from the after image's so he could only do one thing. As they pushed his position the orbs mouth opened and he fell inside the orb just as chakra blades burst from the sides of the orb turning it into a spinning wheel of death at the man's full control. Attempting to catch the bannin off guard and protect himself, at least momentarily from a horrible fate, as the chakra blades from the same technique as before swirled to their full length of forty meters being boosted by the shinobi's large influx of chakra. But that was not all, if the man evaded the blades the orb would attempt to hone in on the image to the left (not sure which is the clone or real body, he's just picking the left one) side of him maneuvering the orb using the chakra eyes on the orb to see where he was flying. How well this would work out for him was still left to see...he'd never fought anyone like Yoru before...

Members of the crowd yelped out in concern, as they ducked down from the large spinning blades of the shuriken. However it was nowhere near them and wasn’t granted in the slightest, though people often overacted. The blades made of chakra were moving much faster now, equal to Yoru’s own speed so he couldn’t simply just weave his way through them and avoid it.

Though he hoped it wouldn’t matter, the after images appeared everywhere in the arena making it almost impossible for anyone without the right perception skills to decipher which was real, and this was even harder with the clones and the effects of genjutsu.

The clone of Yoru flung his blade and ration directly into the orb and shuriken, countering it and destroying it and of course destroying the clone itself. Leaving less one after image for Yoru to combat with.

The illusion and Yoru continued on their path, the real Yoru on the right, the illusion to the left. Leaving after images in their wake, now with Zao’s defence broken and his attention on the illusion, Yoru left an after image once again, and flung his arm and kunai through Zao’s back just below his heart. If it was successful, Zao would be paralysed and would likely lead to the end of the bout.

Or so he hoped.

'A clone?" It had been to difficult for the inexperienced jounin to accurately predict the movement patterns of the real Yoru combined with the illusionary clone and the shadow clone but at least he had managed to hit the shadow clone and now have a completely wasted attack on the illusionary clone. Because the shuriken only covered a portion of the orb it left the top and bottom rather open, though on the man's behalf he normally wasn't having to hide inside the orb from his enemies. The shuriken slammed into the top portion the orb and the Raiton enhancement on the attack it tore a good portion off the top of the shuriken revealing the crouched shinobi holding his hands together in a hand seal.

His attack was neutralized and appeared to have been destroyed by the attack but instead it was the placement of Yoru's attack that had actually destroyed the chakra receiver inside the orb and cause for Xi's chakra link to be severed in turn causing the orb's attack to end pre-emptively. The second effect was the orb began to fall downwards and Xi was forced to put all of his focus onto exiting the hole created by his foe only to receive a lightning enhanced kunai that cut through his back and out his front side causing his body to lock up as the orb and the Iwa nin plummeted to the ground thankfully landing in the arena and not on the spectators somehow. With a heavy thud the orb impacted cracking the ground and creating a small crater as the man was tossed from the orb landing a few meters beside it. 'He's to strong...'

Though he had not blacked out the impact had shook him up a bit and the injury from the kunai wasn't lethal but he was losing a bit of blood, it was obvious that it had been an intention attack from the man to disable him with the Raiton infused kunai which meant that he hadn't really been the man's match to begin with. At the moment he couldn't even set up as his body was still suffering from the paralysis effect. 'Damn this shit hurts...' He murmured but couldn't speak out loud as he attempted to move again, it would seem from the outside that he couldn't really defend himself anymore...

Yoru’s kunai hit it’s mark, his arm slipped through the man like a knife through butter. A simple technique, yet highly efficient and completely invisible to those with minimal speed or lack of perception techniques.

The orb began to hurtle to the ground with the pair in it, Yoru slipped his arm out of Xi and flung himself though the gap before the orb slammed into the earth creating a crater. Landing on the ground with a soft, almost silent thud. Wasting no time, Yoru weaved a flurry of seals creating a stream of water from his mouth, it soon came to life and grappled around the paralysed man, grabbing him by the arms and legs pulling them apart, and wrapping around his neck, slowly choking him.

“You fought very well Xi, though I do suggest you forefit." He whispered softly to Xi, he turned his head looking to the judges to bring an end to this bout.

[Suiton • Lashes of the Deep] (50 Control)
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user performs a sequence of hand seals, the user either creates or manipulates a pool of water as five tendrils shoot from it towards a target up to 15 metres away towards a target, wrapping around them grabbing them, wrapping around their arms, legs and neck. Holding and choking them in place. Speed and Strength equal to the user’s control.

[Just using Orb Control and Advanced Channeling]

Just as the five lashes of water whipped forward five orbs shot off to intercept each orb with orbs, each growing over two meters in size as they attempted to 'swallow' the lashes of water. As this happened the man's body was suddenly yanked in the other direction by the orbs on his chest as they propelled him towards the opposing wall. Though his body was still paralyzed from the Raiton attack earlier, he was still able to channel thanks to his high level of control (advanced channel). He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to regain control of his body an a timely manner and the best he could do was attempt combat the attack and escape back to a distance using the orbs left on his front to push him away while defending with the five that flew off the front of the sash. But that was not it as the man put together an almost all or nothing attack as five additional orbs from his back sash released and curved around his body rapidly shooting forward as the man channeled chakra through his body causing it to glow brightly as they increased to three meters in size with large mouths and a single bright golden eyes. Attempting to box in the the Konoha bannin in and 'devour' him as their strength and speed increased as they left Xi's side planning to chase the man until they caught him...though Xi's body was still unresponsive and he could only float a few inches off the ground as three orbs held up his body at this point...this was truly the last bit of fight the Iwa-nin could must for the shinobi who dominated him throughout this fight...

Yoru watched as Xi’s orbs came to life, snapping at the lashes of suiton like a dog biting the hand of its master.

Sighing loudly, the Bannin had shown mercy, purposefully lowering his strike beneath Xi’s heart so he wouldn’t be killed and now gave him a lifeline to forfeit rather than be knocked out, but now he’d have to end this. The white of his eye turned black, black liquid the hairs atop of his head as he allowed for a partial transformation and absorbing sage chakra.

The orbs hurtled towards him, snapping at him as he pushed hard off the ground flipping through the air and weaving a set of seals as the orbs came closer and closer. Landing back on the ground, ration chakra surged from Yoru filling every inch of the arena with electricity and should now be powerful enough to rip the orbs to shreds including the one that encased Xi and paralysing him again and causing excruciating pain.

Raiton • Cloak of the Thunder Cloud – 55 Control
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channelling chakra, the user will pour chakra through and out of their tenketsu covering themselves in a cloak of ration chakra. This in turn coats the body in a defence coating of ration chakra, able to withstand any attacks as high as the users control stat. Any taijutsu strikes the user make, will cut through flesh like steel, it will conduct through any metallic objects the user is holding and will lash out and any metal objects within a 10 metre radius. If a target makes physical contact either by grabbing, attacking or receiving a blow the target will have full body paralysis for 2 posts and receive 2nd degree burns. This technique lasts up to 5 posts. Speed and Strength equal to the user’s control.

Who could have guessed that the Bannin had still been holding back so much strength? Not even the still mostly paralyzed Xi could uave imagined what would unfold before his very eyes as all he could do was watch as fear crawled up his spine as electricity ripples around the man as his chakra changed. Perhaps the normal eye couldn't tell but through the eyes of his orbs could see the difference in the chakra, what kind of chakra was this?! Frozen in fear and confusion he could only watch as it shredded through the handful of orbs that were nearly invisible to the naked. The chakra empowered orbs were like wet paper now as it flashed through them and the attack hit him.

A wail of pain was accompanied by darkness, knocked unconscious from the flooding power of Yoru's empowered lightning technique. His body spasmed as all the muscles clenched up before he fell with a thud onto the scorched earth. His hair a mess as some of it atuck out in random directions, burn marks on both his skin and clothing could be seen. Wisps of smoke twirled up from his body as two medical shinobi rushed out stopping the match from continuing any further. Checking his vital signs...

Nu would quickly stand, clapping as he announced, "Yoru takes the victory for Konoha!"
