Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Ace Trainer » Tue Aug 10, 2021 12:31 pm

The arena has a 25m radius and is mostly comprised of grass land, trees to provide some shelter and texture to the battlefield. However, 5m from the wall surrounding the entire arena is sandy terrain. The arena is marked by a 20m high wall that is built in the shape of a doughnut, the seats are layered with ten rows running along the whole perimeter of the arena. There is a tower that is supported by pillars and columns above the northers side of the stadium, this is where the representatives of other nations are seated. The participants have the own place to wait until their turn, it is at the bottom section of the wall surrounding the battlefield and has a viewing window that allows the participants to watch fighting that take place. Yoru will begin at the eastern most point, standing directly in front of the sand. Shinji will begin at the western most point, standing directly in front of the sand.

The judges for this bout will be Nu, Sha, and Ji (all judges will be controlled by Onu sicne he's not participating in this event and it will expedite the process (maybe))

First poster has 72 hours to respond, all following posts have 48 hours, with one [1] extension granted upon request. Please ensure you're familiar with the rules for the event. If you're currently in registry, the 72 hours begins once both participants have been approved.

Yoru posts first.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Thu Aug 12, 2021 5:14 pm

Wind trickled through the air, getting caught on the torus shape of the arena creating a miniature wind trap, rustling through the man known as Aizawa, Yoru’s green haori and picking up his long locks of red hair. The wind stifled the murmurings of the hateful crowd around the arena, their hateful gaze all on him. It was apparent that he wasn’t a man to be trusted.

Infront of him stood Karagata, Shinjiro of the mist. A powerful shinobi, who picked apart his last opponent with ease and the pair had actually fought alongside one another, over half a decade ago. Yoru hadn’t gathered an overly large amount of intel on his opponents combat prowess during this time, though he had found out he was a jinchuriki. Though this was obvious to the likes of Yoru due to his understanding of spirits and his perception techniques, Shinji reeked of powerful chakra, a beast laying dormant ready to burst out. Yoru almost licked his lips with excitement, his single hazel eye glinting with delight.

Yoru had no intention of winning any of these bouts, his goal was to simply gain as much information as possible and give away very little in return, which made Yoru’s options for combat much more limited, including the eye hidden beneath his eye patch. Though rumours of The White-Eyed Demon of the Leaf had surfaced and made Yoru quite infamous, he’d rather keep it just that, a rumour.

The Bannin nodded to Shinji out of respect, just before the bout.

A klaxon rang out, indicating they could begin.

With an instant, Yoru’s hand moved towards his right leg his index finger slipped through the pommel of his kunai and flung it directly towards Shinji (30 speed), and charged to the right circling the arena, moving five metres whilst smashing a smoke pellet on the ground to cover his actions and withdrawing another kunai. Weaving a set of seals, as quickly as his hands could allow, he felt a warm surge of chakra pour through him as he leaped out of the smoke flinging another Kunai (30 speed) at Shinji, hoping to keep him somewhat distracted as Yoru hid within the sparse tree line continuing the circle, as a whip made entirely of chakra formed in his hand and flinging down another smoke bomb, but this time rather than following the trajectory of his circular motion to the right, he turned back the way he came back to the left hoping that Shinji would expect for him to leap out of the right and in turn break up the ribbon. If this minimal, simple distraction maybe give Yoru just enough time in that break up of rhythm for his attack to hit it’s mark.

He pulled back his arm and flung forward the whip in his hand which extended out 30 metres and would hopefully be long enough to hit Shinji. If it worked, Yoru was sure in for a fun time and the crowd would soon have a spectacle in front of them.

B-rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)
The user performs a sequence of hand seals, a whip will appear in the users hand that can extend up to 30 metres. This whip is not simply a chakra whip that will cause damage, it actually doesn’t hurt the host at all if struck. However it will force the spirit into a blind rage of fury, making the host and spirit use their most powerful form accessible and attack anyone around them at full force, friend or foe. This enragement will last until the spirit expels its chakra or it is forced back.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Sun Aug 15, 2021 4:34 am

Shinjiro was pleasantly surprised to find that each bout had been increasingly more difficult than the last. Each of his Iwagakure adversaries would have been formidable opponents against most Jounin but they had glaring weaknesses that he had quickly identified and been able to exploit. His most recent match however against the Jinchuuriki from Konoha proved to be a much more difficult opponent for him. Highly evasive targets that Shinjiro couldn't quickly overwhelm tended to bore him but they also tended to be able to exploit his own shortcomings. It was entirely likely the Bannin from Konoha; Aizawa Yoru, would also be one such opponent.

This match was Shinji's last of the tournament and in fact the reason he had joined in the first place, aside from his feeling of obligation to uphold Kirigakure pride once he saw the roster. From what he knew of Yoru the man was fast, evasive, utilized long range projectiles, raiton style ninjutsu as well as sensing abilities, including being able to detect spirits. He hoped to be able to discover at least a few more of the man's tricks throughout the match but ultimately he was here to win whatever it took.

Shinjiro returned the man's nod. He respected power and calm confidence and this man was a prime example of such things. As the match began, Shinjiro decided he would take his time and feel the man out for this match. He had already revealed a large portion of his repetoire throughout the many tournaments he had participated in over the years, he had to be careful against a man that seemed as skilled and well informed as Yoru.

A kunai was flung at him and smoke deployed. Fairly standard tactics, something simple he could easily deal with. His head almost instinctively transformed into that of an owl, able to observe the kunai with great detail there didn't seem to be any chakra eminating from it nor explosive tags attached, nonetheless he strafed a few meters to a 45 degree angle to his right, the opposite direction as his opponent already began circling. He had to figure out what exactly his opponent was planning. Surely he wouldn't be so bold as to try to close the distance with him? Not after the displays of his swordsmanship in his previous matches. There had to be something however.

The man emerged from the smoke and threw another kunai. Honestly he had expected him to create a shadow clone or some of means of coming at him from multiple fronts. Another simple attack with no dicernable ninjutsu enhancement nor skillful arc to its trajectory. Was he trying to bait him into underestimating him? Surely his reputation alone would mean Shinji wouldn't think too lightly of him. Nonetheless, the young Jinchuuriki sighed and felt he would indulge or better yet punish this lackluster opening sequence. Dashing forward at 40 speed he skillfully dipped his shoulder and took a half step off his pacing to evade the kunai, closing in on his opponent. He could hear the man's heartbeat and even his breathing and footsteps as he dashed between trees as well as being able to pick up on his motion fairly easily.

Another smokebomb was deployed and then the man switched directions. Shinjiro had closed in to about 10-15 meters by now and was no more than 2 seconds from closing the distance completely when suddenly the magenta whip lashed out through the smoke. Naturally Shinji attempted to simply sidestep around it but when it moved to follow him, controlled by chakra he reacted with a instincive quick draw slash, aiming to simply sever it and continue to do so if it persisted still. Yet he found his sword passed right through the chakra, meaning it wasn't an actual physical construct. 'Tenkujutsu. Of course' he realized as it wrapped around his wrist as his sword slid back into its sheath. Despite being a Jinchuuriki his handlers had never been very effective at keeping up with him and he had now long outgrown the need for such supervision. It had therefore been many years since he had actually experienced the effects of Tenkujutsu.

From within he felt the Genma known as Vorashu rage, his presence being forced to the surface as green chakra surged out and around him. 'Kill him! Rip his flesh from his bones, destroy everything!' The ancient spirit demanded, rage unlike anything he had ever felt flooded through Shinjiro's body. The primal call was upon him as he roared out in fury. He would make Yoru regret awakening his bestial nature. Advancing into his third form, Shinjiro's hair would grow and twist into braids, his arms growing a few inches longer and a green bird-like mask of chakra forming around his head. Wasting no time the young Jinchuuriki transformed into a powerful white tiger.

What would come next would be nothing short of pure animal fury. Likely faster and more powerful than anything Yoru has ever experienced tied into one creature the 400kg, 2 meter tall and 3.5 meter long beast would be upon him in an instant. Moving at a staggering 55 Speed and aiming to gore him with relentless and unpredictable angled attacks with 50 Strength the beast would leave no room for counter attacks and even retreating would prove to be a desperate and nearly impossible task for most shinobi given the close range. Even if Yoru did manage to evade the tiger, given its speed and the relatively small size of the arena it would quickly establish his new position and be on him again in an instant, making casting any kind of high level jutsu an extremely dangerous and impractical feat. Now it would be a matter of stamina and durability.
Jutsu UsedShow
Awareness of the Owl
B-Ranked Partial Kaerujutsu
Flowing chakra towards his head Shinjiro can take on the appearance of a great horned owl. Only from the neck up is he transformed, allowing him to turn his head 270 degrees, see clearly in the dark up to 250 meters away and hear the heartbeats of even creatures as small as a mouse from a range up to 100 meters.

[Iaido • Futile Struggle]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed *[Iaido • Mantra].
Making use of the trademark speed of Iaido to intercept enemy attacks, the practitioner draws their blade in a wide arc. This defensive slash allows the practitioner to deflect projectiles and clash with an opponent's weapon. Additionally, so long as the practitioner's Speed is equal to or higher than the opponent's Speed, this technique can be used to intercept and interrupt an opponent's technique or attack by striking the weapon or an area of the opponent's body before the attack reaches maximum strength and staggering them.

Byakko
B-Ranked Kaerujutsu
Prerequisite: Form 2
After entering the second form of his chakra cloak Shinji can transform himself into a large orange or white Bengal or Siberian Tiger which weighs between 200-400kgs and stands as a shoulder height of 1-2 meters with a total body length of just over 2-3 meters not including the length of his tail. In this form Shinji gains +10 Speed, +5 Strength.

*[Totem Style • Tiger's Hunt]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The user's stance is low and focused on fluidity. They advance with each attack given or received, dodging to the left or right rapidly but always closing the gap. Once closed they attack with rapid, if unaimed, strikes focused on overwhelming their opponent.

*[Totem Style • Furious Tiger's Claw]
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: *[Totem Style • Tiger's Pounce]
Relying on great speed and ferocity the adept will close the distance in a series of lightning quick bounds. Once close they will unleash a flurry of attacks with little aim, but great in number. These attacks can be made with feet, head, limbs, or any other implements they might currently have. However, this assault leaves minimal to no room for a counter attack. The most powerful aspect of this assault is it's ability to be made while their opponent is on the retreat, and the seemingly impossible angles they're able to strike while still moving forward. Such a display is taxing and can only last for a number of posts equal to (Endurance/10).

Predators Tracking
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception]
Shinjiro has developed a remarkably keen sense of smell even when not transformed into an animal. He can easily distinguish scents between people as well as pick up on trails that are several days old. His passive range is equal to his Willpower stat though for particularly strong smells such as blood or decay he can detect from a distance of [Willpowerx5] meters away. When in a transformed state of an animal with a strong sense of smell such as a canine the range of his sense of smell is doubled.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Mon Aug 16, 2021 6:22 pm

Each kunai missed their mark, though he’d never intended for them to truly hit Shinji they were simply a ploy and each landed nonchalantly to the ground below, deep into the grass five meters away from each point Shinji avoided them.

Launching himself out of the smoke, the whip hit it’s mark just as expected. Shinji of course was far too powerful for Yoru to strike him with any close ranged physical attacks and luckily the whip of course, wasn’t physical. Wrapping around Shinji’s arm and calling out the beast.

The crown on his head would allow him to read Shinji’s thoughts, they weren’t calculated and thought as one would expect, they were vicious, highly aggressive and flooded with anger. Yoru licked his lips with delight, it was apparent that the beast lying dormant within Shinji was soon about to show its ugly head.

However, Yoru’s delight soon swept away his singular hazel eye widened with shock as Shinji transformed into a humongous raging tiger and wasted no time hurtling towards the Bannin of the leaf. He’d never seen anyone moved with such speed, well minus himself of course.

The crowds in the arena gasped out in shock and even seemed uncomfortable, it wasn’t often that civilians or even shinobi for that matter saw a spirit first hand and now there was one of the most powerful right in front of them.

There was at least thirty metres between the two fighters and Yoru could now read the beasts mind, knowing roughly each stop he took before he took it. But it was much more difficult than usual, the thoughts weren’t clear they were aggressive and sporadic.

Yoru had to make a decision and make it quickly, as allowed sage chakra to surge through him. Did he use it to amplify his prowess with ninjutsu and allow himself to dominated the beast with his tenkujutsu, but at this rate Shinji would be coming at him so fast Yoru wasn’t even sure if he could manage to get off the hand seals quick enough to even be effective. His options dwindled quickly, and he decided to use the sage chakra to boost his physical skills and match the speed of the oncoming tiger. He placed his hands together and weaved a single seal as the tiger moved closer and closer almost on top of him, he had to act fast. He whipped through space as he teleported to one of the kunai he threw earlier taking the position of where Shinji originally was, narrowly avoiding the beast by the skin of his teeth, or perhaps narrowly avoiding the tigers teeth would be more apt.

phpBB [video]

Landing on the ground with a soft thud, he knew the beast would be back on him in a matter of seconds he had to act fast. Yoru’s porcelain white skin, which impossibly seemed to turn even whiter than before, the sclera of his eyes turned black, the same blackness poured from his eyes and down his cheeks, like darkened tears. His long red hair, took on the form of red feathers which covered his entire body, his back flexed out as two wings ripped through his green haori, ripping it to shreds and letting it fall on the floor.

The pair would now be more evenly matched, or at least Yoru hoped he’d now at least be able to keep up with the beast and avoid any oncoming physical attacks or so he hoped.

(Assuming) The beast turned almost as quickly as it took off, seeming to moving on instinct heading directly for Yoru once again, pushing hard off the ground the banning leaped through flipping backwards trying to create more distances, channelling chakra and withdrawing a kunai all in one fell swoop. As he landed back on the ground, he thrust his kunai forward as a blast of chakra shot directly at the beast hoping to reduce it’s physical strength. Though he doubted such a head on attack would actually hit it’s mark, especially when the beast was moving with such speed.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Mon Aug 16, 2021 7:54 pm

Shinjiro’s claws swiped through the air Yoru had stood only an instant before. At his current 55 speed, he could cross the entire arena in a fraction of a second. There would be very little room to think or perform jutsu without great sacrifice against the pure primal aggression of Shinjiro in his tiger form. He could pivot and accelerate instantly. The teleportation gave Yoru a brief moment to transform into his own heightened state but as he enhanced the strength of his feathered armor with tremendous amounts of chakra he would be slowed down and that was all the time Shinjiro needed to be upon him. He would get off at least a few slashes before he used his wings and agility to flip backward across the ring again.

In order to keep up with his mobility just as easily, while continuing to pursue the man his back sprouted wings, his transformations were considered a type of taijutsu and thus came about nearly instantly without needing the large chakra cost and build-up of Yoru’s high-level techniques. Now, even if Yoru ascended to the skies Shinjiro could pursue him with no hesitation or room for breathing. And as Yoru once again slowed himself down to channel a massive amount of chakra Shinjiro would once again be on top of him, slashing with his full 50 Strength powered strikes from a variety of angles and no doubt shredding through many sections of his feathered armor and goring deep into the man's body before Yoru eventually got off the wave of chakra that would reduce his strength. Despite his opponent’s techniques, Shinjiro would still be stronger than his opponent and every bit as fast (faster each time Yoru slowed down to channel chakra). Even in his fury, he could track the man’s movements while obscuring his own, able to attack from wild and unpredictable angles with no thought required as well as anticipate his opponent’s movements based on body language alone without needing to rely on any kind of mental leg from trying to read minds. Unless something miraculously changed, even the man's teleportation and equal speeds would prove little match for the overwhelming ferocity and tenacity of Shinjiro's true primal power. To be truly effective Yoru would need far more space than the confines of the small arena provided, in this cage, on the tournament stage, Yoru was in Shinjiro's domain. 'Rip and Tear!' Vorashu's haunting voice flooded through Shinjiro's mind, becoming one with his own thoughts as his instinct and training blended with the Genma's raw power and brutality.

Assassins Flight
A-Ranked Partial Kaerujutsu
This transformation allows Shinji to grow a pair of large bat wings from his upper back. Each wing is 3 meters long and 1.5 meters wide and typically brown or black in color. These wings are fully functional allowing Shinji flight capabilities. As an extension of his body Shinji has learned how to fly and move as swiftly and silently as he normally would.

Combat Intuition
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 25 Speed, [Perception], [Close Quarters Combat]
A skill to maximize efficiency of movement, Shinji has learned to utilize his head and body movements to avoid incoming attacks without sacrificing maneuverability or speed. So long as he is able to anticipate an opponent's attacks he can make minor ducks, shifts and weaves out of the path of most incoming strikes and projectiles, often allowing him to capitalize on counters based on the openings that a miss provides. Though typically Shinji must be able to perceive an incoming attack, after he has evaded a maneuver once he is far more likely to be able to anticipate and predict an opponent’s attack pattern, often beginning his evasion or block the instant an opponent begins their attack.

Lethal Precision
A-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Deft Hands], [Close Quarters Combat] [Sword Weapons]
Shinjiro has fine tuned his accuracy with his strikes to the point where he can consistently target even a moving target within 1mm of precision as well as being able to find openings in his opponents guard and capitalize on those openings so long as his Speed is greater than or equal to that of his opponent unless they have an adequate defensive technique. This includes his use of bladed weapons and his own limbs.

Blurred Movement
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 25 Speed
Having honed his body to operating at high speeds Shinjiro has developed the ability to blur his movements at will making his fine movements more difficult to determine. If his opponent doesn’t have a perception/motion tracking technique of equal or greater rank then Shinjiro’s actual movements will be invisible to the eye, leaving only an afterimage of himself in his wake that will persist for a full post before fading.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Tue Aug 17, 2021 1:51 pm

Yoru’s light bones allowed him to use all of his full speed within an instant, the feathers poured across his body covering from head to toe creating a barrier covering his entire body and a toxin that would paralysis anyone who touched it, however from seeing Shinji fight within the tournaments and his uses of poisonous canisters that it was safe to assume he had some way to battle against poisons and toxins. So it would be safe to assume the toxins on his feathers would do very little, though he didn’t know that for definite. Though they would continue to do one thing well and that was defend.

The beast hurtled forward, perhaps stronger than Yoru had originally expected but certainly enough time to produce the feathers that would pour from his skin. The beasts large arms would hurtle across Yoru’s chest, slashing across the feathers, though they’d save Yoru from any slashing damage the large powerful paws of the beast would knock him slightly to the side, though wasting no time Yoru used the momentum to flip himself backwards and continue his attack.

The tiger was on him, like the Hokage of the Leaf to a busty Hyuuga the channelling was completely done whilst in the air and the tiger now had wings, typical most people got to fight an assassin Yoru was now fighting a giant flying tiger. Perhaps he had bitten off more than he could chew? Or perhaps the tiger would bite off parts of Yoru he could literally chew. Nevertheless, he had got himself in this situation and it was of course an opportunity to learn, not to win. That was Yoru’s intention, it was a perfect way to learn about one of Kirigakure’s most powerful shinobi. Even if Yoru was to lose here, he’d at least figure out a way to defeat him next time or at least how to better deal with such powerful spirits.

Though it wasn’t quite written in stone yet, Yoru still had a few tricks up his sleeve as the blast of chakra hit it’s mark, this of course was a powerful blast of chakra and even though Shinji’s strength matched it should be powerful enough to knock the tiger back at least enough to lose his footing and give Yoru at least a moment of breathing space and now it was likely that tigers strikes wouldn’t be physically strong enough to breatk through the armoured feathers that engulfed Yoru’s entire body, though he would have to be careful of his chest where the claws had already struck and left slashes across it. He wouldn’t have time to reform them, the arena was simply too small for him to excel and use the full ability of his ninjutsu.

Though with the blast of chakra, causing some physical damage to the beast and now having that minute amount of time to react he yanked off the eyepatch across his face. He felt chakra thump against his eye as the famed dojutsu activated instantly, technically Yoru’s was always active but was held back by the seal written on the eyepatch. The veins across the left side of his face swelled, almost as though they were going to burst. The sclera of the byakugan, was a dark black contrasting the white iris even more like a bright moon in the midnight sky. He hadn’t wanted to use this in the tournament, but if he didn’t he’d likely die. Gasps could be heard from the crowd, The White Eyed Demon of the Leaf was revealed, the rumours of course would now no longer be rumours.

Yoru had no choice, he’d have to face the beast head it was now coming at him again swiping it’s large claws at him and to the naked out the beast would almost be invisible, but not to Yoru’s he’d see every movement. It would be as clear as day to him. Using his crown, he could read every thought of Shinji, even though animalistic in nature and seeming to fight from instinct alone, the beast had cognitive thought and Yoru could use this to know what strike was coming before it came and doubling this up with his Byakugan he could see minute movement in muscle and help him predict it even further.

The large paws swung at Yoru, he manipulated his body and limbs in such a peculiar way arching back quickly capable of avoiding each strike as they came, narrowly but managing to none the less. The pair moved at such extreme speeds, the crowd couldn’t even keep up they both moved at a blur, but both having such high perception techniques they could see each other quite clearly. His defence was almost sound, his quick flood arching movements would keep him alive and if he made a minor mistake the feathers were still there to protect him at least for a couple more strikes. The problem now though, what could Yoru do offensively?

He didn’t have enough space to complete any high ranked ninjutsu without slowing himself down, both of the men were now at an impasse both able to move with such precision and speed. Though Shinji had the advantage, Yoru was quite sure any physical strikes he attempted would cause little to no damage even if he did manage to strike. Though perhaps there was one chance? Perhaps a chance to blind the beast.

Contorting himself into a familiar stance to anyone who had seen the gentle fist in action, though Yoru’s differed slightly, swung his blade outwards towards the beasts eyes, unless the Shinji had a technique specifically to counter acrobatic techniques and not just speed, he’d perhaps just be slow enough for Yoru to hit it’s mark.

However, it dawned on Yoru as the kunai moved through the air. Even if he did manage to blind the beast, many animals had a variety of senses and now with his bat wings, did that mean Shinji could replicate sonar? It seemed as though no matter what Yoru did, this was a losing battle. Perhaps though he could manage to survive? And least get to the buzzer.

One could hope, though hope seemed bleak.

Art of Perception • Apprehension of Agility (Passive)
S-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception & 45 Speed
The user has become attuned to fast, complex movements that are usually invisible to the naked eye, able to keep up with a variety of taijutsu manoeuvres and disciplines of an equal rank, within 5 points of the users [Speed], usually negating any overwhelming the techniques may normally have on the user.

Art of Perception • Foresight of Flesh
S-Ranked Nintaijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception, Sensory & Byakugan
The user attuned their visual dojutsu to such a degree they are able to see the targets muscular system, and the most minuscule of movements. This usually allows the user to have a rough idea what their opponent is physically about to do, before they do it. This however does have quite a large margin of error and only tells them the limbs they are about to move, not what those limbs are about to do.
Taijutsu • Contortionist
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [Acrobatics
The user is a contortionist allowing them to move and manipulate their body and joints much further than normal. Allowing them to pass through smaller gaps, move in peculiar ways, get into unexpected vantage points and makes their bones more difficult to break, at least when it comes to joint manipulation.

Taijutsu • Unwavering Defence
S-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: Perception, Acrobatics, Taijutsu • Contortionist & 45 Speed
The user has mastered the art of evasive maneuvers, combining their perception, acrobatic abilities and high speed, the user will move with either small micro movements or large swooping movements, combining their contortionist ability to move into almost unperceivable positions, the user is better able to avoid any incoming taijutsu or projectile attacks, as long as they are within 10 points of speed and can see the attack coming. They move in such a way it can be striking and often catch an opponent off guard, moving at such speed if their opponent doesn’t have a perception technique of the same level, they won’t even see the user move, often seeing either nothing or a blur.

Fuhanyouken • Proficiency of the Profane
A-rank Nintaijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: Taijutsu • Contortionist
As the Fuhanyouken technique is based upon watching members of the Hyuuga clan and their Jyuuken techniques, the user has developed a similar stance, with a slight bending of the knees and their leading foot resting forward and their torso straight on and their weapon hand leading forward. However the user has applied their skill as contortionist, whilst in the stance, the user will bend and twist their body in an acrobatic fashion and will allow them to move and strike from a variety of unorthodox and surprising positions, due to these acrobatic movements, the opponent suffers a -5 speed unless they have a technique that allows them to specifically counter acrobatic movements.

Ochiba • Looking Through the Leaves
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 25 Speed & Ochiba • Single Finger Draw
By drawing a kunai from its holster with the Single Finger Draw and will lunge forward, striking at their targets eyes attempting to blind them. This strike will at such a rapid speed it is almost invisible to the naked eye, slicing that very naked eye open.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Thu Aug 19, 2021 12:57 am

Shinjiro was no stranger to Vorashu’s aggressive impulses and even his own training often advocated a relentless offense. After an initial burst of raw, thoughtless attacking he began to reign in the reckless emotions, transitioning to a zen sort of state as he allowed himself to channel many types of beasts in his movements. And as Yoru’s kunai came striking across his eyes Shinjiro took that moment that one tended to slightly relax upon landing a strike to counter in full. Exhaling a cloud of green poison his wild wide-angle strikes and posture instantly shifted to that of a serpent style, but it would be his right leg that transformed into a snake, lashing out with the intent to bite Yoru’s left thigh. For added pressure, he aimed to strike the man along his collar bone with not quite full power strikes, aimed with a different sort of linear precision from his previous deadly slashing strikes.

For added surprise and deadliness the snake limb would grow a spike from its mouth and continue to extend in length pursuing its target or impaling his leg and aiming to wrap around and keep him pulled close and off balance as Shinji lashed out with his paws which would similarly grow spikes out of the palms. The Jinchuuriki’s eyes bled from the kunai slash though he wasn’t completely blinded, it was a minor pain for someone such as himself, truthfully he didn’t even feel it but his vison was impaired slightly, enough that Yoru might be able to get at least a few glancing blows through his guard so long as Shinjiro continued to press his attacks rather than focus on defense.
Jutsu UsedShow

[Deaths Breath] (used as breath attack, expelled at 50 Speed, no strength damage. covers a 20 meter diameter)
A-Rank Gas & Coating Poison
This poison affects the victim by being absorbed through the body or being inhaled and absorbed into their bloodstream. Each canister will deploy a 10-meter diameter cloud of light green poison that will linger in the air unless disposed of by some other means. Shinjiro can also infuse this poison as his own breath attack according to his Shinigami’s curse ability. Those affected will find their strength-sapping away as well as suffer from nausea and varying states of delirium with those with less than 20 Endurance barely able to process basic thoughts, vomiting frequently and struggling to walk due to disorientation, 20-30 and they will be disoriented with their vision blurred and balance skewed, mind cloudy. Those with over 30 Endurance will only experience mild dizziness and moderate nausea in addition to the sapping of their strength.
• Onset Time: Immediate
• Run Time: 4 Posts
• Effect: -5 Strength Per Post exposed

*[Totem Style • One With All]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception]
The user focuses on their animal spirits and drops into a pseudo-meditative state. They focus their mind against goading and unnecessary internal distraction. While like this they have a lessened sense of self, seeing themselves as a vessel through which the animal spirits flow. However, they are more capable of switching between their stances with absolute fluidity, often doing so mid action.

*[Totem Style • Cobra's Strikes]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: [Deft Hands]
The user folds their hands over where the thumb and fingers make a cone-like point. Their defenses consist of dips and sways to dodge attacks. Their offenses are focused on pin point application of pressure using these points and lightning quick strikes.

*[Totem Style • Cobra's Bite]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [Deft Hands], *[Totem Style • Cobra's Strikes]
The user makes a string of rapid attacks aimed at the collarbone, throat, and shoulder. They focus more on speed than power, causing each attack to be slightly weak but still damaging and very draining. If the user has more 5 or more Strength than their opponent's Endurance their collarbone will be broken, the shoulder severely bruised and difficult to move, and they will have trouble breathing.

Serpent strike
C-Ranked Partial Kaerujutsu
Focusing chakra into a limb/appendage of choice the area will glow green before transforming into either a green or black venomous snake which can then extend up to 25 meters to bite or constrict around an opponent. If bitten the target will experience nausea, blurred vision, elevated heart rate and sweating for 3 posts as the venom flows through their system. Shinji can maintain his limb in this form for as long as he wishes and revert it at a whim, able to attack with strength and speed equal to his own.

Spikey Surprise
C-Ranked Partial Kaerujutsu
Channelling chakra into a part of his body Shinjiro can grow 8-inch long porcupine like spikes from anywhere on his body. These spikes are only half an inch thick but as sharp and durable as his strength stat and can be used to shred or impale targets in close range or be physically removed to be used as projectiles. Up to 5 spikes can be created at a time.

[Vibration Sense]
S-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception]
Becoming finely attuned with his sense of touch and even his ability to hear low frequencies Shinji had developed the ability to feel vibrations extremely acutely. He can detect the slightest movements within a 15-meter radius of himself through solid surfaces, 25 meters if standing on water or within mist or rain and a 10-meter radius from the air itself. From this he can detect the size anything moving around him and their direction as well as approximate weight. This is only effective on moving targets.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Thu Aug 19, 2021 5:08 am

Yoru’s blade struck through the air, the acrobatic movements were enough to throw off the wild beast unable to keep up with the contorting, his blade slipped across the beast’s eyes slicing through. Though it was clear to Yoru that Shinji that this wouldn’t be anything permanent, it certainly didn’t seem to cause any pain. But it would hinder his vision at least.

This was a high-pressure situation, and he didn’t intend to mess up now. The crown above Yoru’s head filled with Shinji and Vorashu’s aggressive impulses, but those aggressive impulses were diminished and soon followed was a clear state of mind. However this in turn allowed Yoru to hear through the clarity even more, poison, breath, snake, leg. Even though the Bannin struck, he didn’t relax or become at ease, he wasn’t a young warrior easily excited by one strike, he was now a seasoned warrior, and he knew any slip, any mistake or even a lapse of concentration could be the end of him. He used this movement of breath space, not to attack again but create space between himself and the beast known as Vorashu, before he could create a counterattack. Pushing himself hard off the ground flying upwards through the air at a blinding speed avoiding the smoke of the gas canister and moving out of range, withdrawing a pellet from his bag and dropping it below

He reached 30 metres up in the air, assuming that Shinji followed Yoru through the smoke bomb would disrupt hiding Yoru in a cloud of smoke, but Yoru could see the Chimera with his byakugan, withdrawing his windmill shuriken, pressing his hand on the mechanism and flinging it through the air. He knew Shinji had seen this shuriken in action whilst they fought together back in Soul and Yoru had used it in his earlier bout and knew that Shinji would have coursed watched it. But he had no choice, he hoped that the smoke would at least hide it enough to strike the, flying tiger with bat wings and a snake for a leg.

What the hell had Yoru get himself in?

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:49 pm

With every passing moment Shinjiro grew greater control of Vorashu’s impulses that flooded through his body. And yet, whether it be raw ferocity or more precise strikes and tactical executions, the Bannin from Konoha seemed to possess an uncanny ability to anticipate every action and move in just the right way to evade every attack. The master assassin of the mist could hardly believe there was someone that could not only keep up with his speed but even perfectly evade every one of his strikes. This opponent was truly terrifying, though it seemed at least Shinjiro had the distinct advantage in being able to press the pace and control the tempo, Yoru had only managed one counterattack thus far, a slight graze to his eyes, enough to draw blood and blur his vision but even that minor inconvenience was enough for Yoru to break their engagement, seeming to react before he even exhaled his poisonous gas. He had never displayed his breath attack before and yet he had been able to disengage from point blank range perfectly.

Shinjro growled, the large imposing form of the white tiger snarling its large teeth. “You’re really fucking good at running away!” he roared out, his voice was layered in this form, the primal echo of Vorashu atop Shinjiro’s usually calm and focused demeanor born from nearly two decades of training as an elite assassin. It wasn’t often he truly felt angry, he lashed out in violence often, but this man got under his skin and irked him like no other, perhaps only comparable to his previous match a few days prior against the equally evasive man known as Taiga. These two would firmly cement his hatred of Konoha shinobi, for such a leisurely lifestyle the speed and incredible avoidance tactics of their elite shinobi was truly remarkable and infuriating for someone as typically precise and efficient in his killing strikes.

His serpent tail would follow the man even as he spoke, Yoru’s acceleration speed would be impaired by his lesser strength, a slight advantage given Shinjiro’s currently weakened state (41 Strength) though nonetheless, he should be able to manage to outpace the man in those initial movements and at least slice open his ankle. Still, he didn’t expect there to be any real damage to show given Yoru’s display thus far. Flying up and a few meters back Shinjiro would attempt to recollect himself and consider his options more carefully. Despite his best efforts, attacking the man at his greatest speed with either aggression and unpredictability or precision strikes, neither had been able to even touch the man. Even his poison gas was easily evaded, meaning his poisons were effectively rendered useless at this rate. The only time he had landed a solid strike was when the man had been focused on channeling chakra, perhaps then giving him space and interrupting his attacks was the better option than forcing him to purely defend and evade. ‘Wait for him to use ninjutsu, then strike’ he told himself, exhaling slowly. He was not suited to prolonged battles and even that burst of relentless high-speed attacks had taken a toll on him. Surely his opponent would be feeling some fatigue as well, but they were each elite shinobi of course and had much more in their tanks than that.

As he ascended through the smoke he felt the vibrations of the thrown projectile, thinking quickly he decided he wasn’t in a suitable form to properly evade or simply take the brunt of the damage. He would need to keep his opponent from getting used to his attack patterns, he was simply too good at adapting, but surely there was something he could utilize. He had noticed the Byakugan of course so he knew his opponent would be able to sense his chakra, that simply wouldn’t do. As he transformed himself within his poison and his opponent's smoke, he masked his chakra signature, hopefully, this would at least give him a few moments to collect himself and perhaps even utilize his assassination tactics. He wasn’t confident he could completely avoid his opponent’s detection, the man was clearly even more skilled in perception and tracking then he was. But he could at least allow his opponent to make a move that he could exploit. Flying quietly through the air in the form of a flying ant he would easily be able to evade any shrapnel, the wind pressure alone from each of the pieces would push him out of harm's way. And so, he would continue to fly away from his opponent, giving him room to better assess what he might do next, circling around as he used the cover of smoke and some trees to position himself to Yoru’s right, about 10 meters off the ground and about 15 meters to Yoru’s right, near the top of one of the trees, he waited eagerly for his opportunity to glow with chakra or form handseals. His bloodlust was still fully awakened, and he wanted nothing more than to rip Yoru’s head clean off his shoulders or to bury himself into him and explode him from the inside. But first he needed to draw out his reliance on powerful techniques and while he did so he switched the gas poison within him out to his Chakra Bane variation. If direct attacks didn’t work, he would bolster his mind, allow himself to utilize genjutsu more effectively and wear his opponent down with hit and run tactics. ‘Licking your wounds already? That insolent welp mocks my might, snap that bastard’s spine in half, paint the arena in his blood!’ Vorashu scowled, still enraged as his will flowed through Shinjiro, only barely able to keep the overwhelming thoughts of violence at bay. The time would come, soon.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Sun Aug 22, 2021 2:45 pm

Yoru continued to soar upwards through the air, the snake chasing behind him. Usually the strength difference would be enough for the attack to catch him but as Yoru had thinned out his bones using through his transformation, he was able to reach his fill speed within an instant. The teeth chomping down very close to his foot just as he came out of range. He heard the murderous scream come form Shinji, allies of war it seemed they were no longer. Yoru had hoped to buy him a drink after this, but that seemed off the cards. Though the Bannin of Konoha did not respond, he was too focused on, well not dying. Even though the judges would usually stop a bout, could they stop an enraged beast? Could Shinji even stop it? Perhaps not. Either way, Yoru didn’t plan to find out.

The shuriken, flew out of one end of the smoke not meeting a target. As usual snapped into five separate pieces breaking out at different points in the arena in a quad formation, two in the ground west and east and two on the wall to the north and south, slamming into their respective surface and the hoop landing lifeless on the ground. Clearly within his mind, he heard Shinji’s thoughts.

‘Wait for him to use ninjutsu, then strike’

A good tactic, Yoru would be slowed down whilst performing ninjutsu and in all honesty he didn’t have much choice himself. His taijutsu simply wouldn’t be strong enough to cause any significant damage to Shinji, even slicing across his eyes did very little. Though least for now his vision would be hampered. He watched through the smoke and the poison as the tiger changed into a tiny flying ant, and it appeared as though Shinji was attempting to supress his chakra. For a normal Hyuuga this would be an issue, but Yoru was a skilled tracker and a sensor shinobi long before he attained the eye and had taken the Byakugan further than most of the famed clan. Though of course not perfect, he could still make out the minute chakra signature but due to the small size of the flying ant it was incredibly tiny and would be hard to keep track of.

Watching the flying ant flutter on top of a tree, Yoru hurtled himself further into the air another 30 metres away from the top of the tree meaning he was around 45 metres from ground level. He heard the beast talking to Shinji, what a strange character it reminded of someone he’d met before long ago. He almost turned up his nose and felt sorry for Shinji that such an annoying beast laid dormant inside him.

What could he do? If he attempted to use Ninjutsu Shinji and Vorashu would be on him, literally like a fly on shit, 30 metres was enough for him to get off a C or even a B ranked powered jutsu but, it would be almost pointless and would do little to no damage to someone as powerful as Shinji. Though he formed an idea, what if Yoru could make Shinji take the bait? Draw him out, it was clear that was his intention anyway so it wouldn’t be too hard.

Withdrawing two kunai in an instant, he weaved a flurry of seals with the weapons in his hands spinning them around his fingers with elegance as he weaved a simple set of seals, Yoru had no intention of creating a truly powerful jutsu but he knew if he were to trick the beast into believing he was he’d likely have to circulate chakra. A man as susceptible as Shinji certainly wouldn’t believe a fake set of seals, he likely had a way to sense chakra or at least that was Yoru’s assumption. Suiton chakra through his body the set of seals were incredibly short and would certainly be completed within the relatively short distance, suiton chakra bubbled inside Yoru but didn’t expect outwards. He hoped Shinji would take the bait and fling himself forward in a fit of rage.

If Shinji did, Yoru’s eyes would widen as whatever new creature soared towards him, his single byakugan would stay locked on the opponent, even if it was a miniscule amount of chakra. Either way he’d have to face the beast head on. His mouth widened as booming scream shrilled from his mouth, echoing around the small arena in a 60m radius, if it was successful Shinji’s speed would be drastically reduced and would begin to throw up. Perhaps then Yoru would be able to bring an end to the bout soon after, though he wasn’t sure.

*Ochiba • Single Finger Draw x 2
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Utilizing this Maneuver, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

Ochiba • Single Finger Seal
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver

This will allow the user to breath in spaces where the air has been removed. This can be done for 1 post, per 2 control points. (e.g. 50 Control would allow 25 posts).

[Zantou • Leaf Dragons Screaming Echo]
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: 40 Will Power & Ochiba
The user has learnt to use Zantou techniques by dual wielding Kunai and applies to other weapons of a similar nature. The user will unleash a mighty kiai 2x Meters for every point of the users strength, the opponent must have an equal or higher will power than the user, if not any opponents in range will lose all sense of orientation, balance and proprioception, resulting in a reduction of -15 speed for five posts, in the form of disorientation and extreme nausea to the point of uncontrollable vomiting. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques. The disorientation effect from this technique can be stacked with other disorientation effects and refreshes the post limit for any disorientation effect currently imposed on the opponents.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Thu Aug 26, 2021 1:14 am

Shinjiro waited in the tree for only a few moments as he watched his opponent continue to ascend higher into the skies. Fortunately, in this form he had many eyes and they were not too damaged from the previous scrape in his other form. He had hoped that utilizing his stealth and in such a small form he would be able to sneak up on his opponent and get in a proper attack though his opponent was quite cautious in keeping a good distance and vantage point. There was nothing much he could do but pursue, ascending higher, especially as he saw his opponent begin to cast a jutsu. However, what he didn’t account for was that Yoru would be able to see him. That Byakugan truly was impressive, to see the miniscule amount of chakra still readable even when suppressed and also condensed into such a small body.

The scream rocked through him as he approached, ‘Was that a Zantou Kiai?’ he wondered as he continued to approach. He would feel the immense vibrations and knew well the types of catastrophic damage such shouts could cause to one’s equilibrium and movements. He was well versed in such techniques himself. Fortunately, he had bolstered his focus when transforming into the flying ant form, allowing him to resist the technique, though it certainly made him much warier of fighting Yoru in a less focused state. He wouldn’t be able to rely on Vorashu’s power to bolster his performance for too much longer. As if on cue the Genma spoke out, still enraged. ‘Finish him now!’ it roared within his mind. Fueled by the Genma’s power Shinjiro transformed into a form he hadn’t yet displayed in a tournament, focusing on speed and mental fortitude he would erupt from the size of an ant to a roughly 40 meter long vermillion phoenix, the sudden change in size alone would mean his large beak, roughly the size of Yoru alone, would be within a few meters of him as he exhaled another burst of his green poisonous gas before unleashing one of his two most powerful and exhausting techniques, exploding an aura of blood out from him as he strained every blood vessel in his body beyond their capacity, heating himself and evaporating the blood in a mist-like cloud. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep up his speed but he would attempt to keep pace with his opponent and leave him no room to escape from the large radius of blood and poisonous smoke that followed with him wherever he went, truly a monstrous beast of death. And this time, though he wasn’t aware of course, Yoru wouldn’t even be able to read his mind throughout the entire plan of attack, hopefully helping in giving him the slight edge he needed to make a decisive impact in this match.
Jutsu UsedShow

Shinji currently has: 46 Strength, 55 Speed, 50 Willpower (Also had 50 Willpower last post due to boosts in flying ant form)

Ability being Used (Breath Attack):

Shinigami’s Curse
After undergoing an extensive procedure procured in the Black Market districts of Rice Country, Shinjiro has had his body altered significantly. This change is entirely internal and reflects his ability to absorb and store poison within every component of his body as well as release a poisonous breath attack that is expelled at a speed equal to his strength and can travel up to 15 meters before expanding into a cloud of poison that stretches to Controlx2= meters in diameter. Shinjiro can absorb poisons into his body, able to inhale an entire cloud of poison or suck up a liquid poison or even draw it into his skin or bloodstream, preventing the further spread of poison to those who might have been affected. These poisons can then be stored within his own body, able to be kept in a neutral state or weaponized. He can store a maximum number of poisons equal to his Endurance stat within his body. Shinji can neutralize any number of his weaponized poisons over the course of a full post. Similarly, it takes a full post to switch a poison with another or weaponize a poison after being neutralized. Only one poison can be switched or re-weaponized at a time. Poisons do not have to be neutralized first before switching out for another. Only one of each type of poison may be active at a time; ingestion poisons saturating his flesh, tissues, and organs. Coating poisons are weaponized within his blood and other bodily fluids such as saliva and sweat and lastly a gas poison can be weaponized in the form of his breath attack. Unless otherwise stated it should be assumed that [Reaper's Flesh], [Death's Breath], and [Shinigami's Kiss] are active throughout his body. While he may only have one of each type weaponized at a time he can store a new poison until the end of the thread it's absorbed in unless it is purchased normally and added to the character sheet.

Shujakku
A-Ranked Kaerujutsu
Prerequisite: Form 2
After entering form two Shinjiro can transform himself into a massive red bird with a 30-meter wingspan, 12 meter long tailfeathers, and deadly half meter long talons as well as a powerful beak with a mouth large enough to swallow people whole. The creature’s eyes are a fiery yellow. While in this transformation Shinjiro is granted +10 Speed, +5 Willpower

Red Demon
S-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: [Heavenly Taijutsu], 35 Strength
Upon entering this stance Shinji’s blood will run flush through his body, rising to the surface of his skin, turning it red and leaking out of his pores, even his eyes will redden. In addition to oozing out of his skin however his blood will begin to form an aura around him in a 15-meter radius that spreads at a speed equal to his strength that follows him as he moves, acting like a thin mist of blood that will soak into the clothes and any open orifices of anyone who enters the mist. This stance can last for up to 7 posts and upon dispersal the bloody mist will pulse outward to a 25-meter radius at a speed equal to his strength, shedding the rest of the blood on the surface of Shinji’s skin and anything soaked into his clothes before returning his skin tone to normal

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Sat Aug 28, 2021 2:55 pm

Yoru’s single whitened eye, kept locked onto the tiny flying ant. His advanced skills with the byakugan allowed him to keep Shinji in view even if it was just a small blip of chakra. But it was enough, at least for now. Once he completed the seals, he felt the water surge through his mouth he hadn’t intended on even using the jutsu but it would at least give the appearance of him channelling chakra through himself if Shinji were to use some kind of sensory ability.

A smug smile ran across Yoru’s face as Shinji hurlted towards him, he opened his mouth about to scream when he noticed.

He couldn’t hear a thing at least, not within his mind. The crown wasn’t working? No couldn’t be, had the Shinji bolstered in mind in someway? It gave him a clue that his own attack wouldn’t work but he’d already begun so it was too late, but at least now he wouldn’t over commit to it and knew it likely wasn’t going to work. The scream left his lips, echoing around the arena. But it has no effect, just as he assumed, he didn’t over commit to the attack, clamping his mouth shut quickly and flying upwards into the sky away from Shinji. Yoru was irritated that it hadn’t worked, his smug small disappeared. How had Shinji thought to improve his mind in such a way?

It was apparent that Shinji was a versatile shinobi, even in his crazed state he seemed to have enough cognitive thought to bolster his own mind in such a way. It was clear he’d come to tame Vorashu like no other jinchuriki had. Yoru wasn’t sure if he could win this bout outright, but winning wasn’t his aim, he didn’t care about this arbitrary competition between villages. He simply wanted to survive the time limit and learn as much as he could about the opponent in front of him, and if he was honest learn more about himself as a warrior, figuring out where his limits were. He still had a few tricks up his sleeve, for but now he’d need to play this game of cat and mouse a little longer.

His eyes widened as the small fly, slowly transformed in front of his eyes into a giant 45-meter-long mythical phoenix. Yoru continued to move upwards in the air away from the beast as it transformed, it would take time for the Shinji to move from form to form surely? And such a large form would take even longer, moving further and further away as the bird grew larger and had plenty of time to back up and would keep the 30m distance keeping him out of range of the beast’s bird and his beak.

Yoru pondered if the large beast would technically be out of bounds, as it was larger than the arena itself, however Shinji wasn’t touching either the sand or the walls, so that likely wouldn’t come into effect for a point deduction the pair had simply flew higher and there had being nothing in the rules against that. It was clear this arena was built with the idea of genin bouts or close ranged samurai duels, not for powerful Shinobi such as Yoru and Shinji to fight at their full force.

The pair were now 95 meters in the air, it was no longer a game of cat and mouse but a hawk chasing down a fleeing sparrow, the two birds soaring through the air their wings flapping.

Yoru had attuned his byakugan to look at more than just the chakra points, he could see individual muscle fibres move and the depths of someone’s body. Shinji right now was even easier to read, unlike the small fly where it was difficult to see something so minute, most things had become clear. Though he didn’t know exactly what would happen, but it seemed as though something was happening. Blood poured and shot out from the beast, 25 meters out. Yoru continued to fly upwards as the blood chased after him, maintaining that 30m distance but whilst in his sage mode he was significantly faster than the blood and raised another 30 meters in the air, again just out of the reach. However he wasn’t quite out of range of the green toxic gas ripping through the air towards him, luckily for Yoru however he didn’t need to breath due to his earlier sution jutsu that was still in effect pumping air through his system. However Yoru didn’t know that the jutsu seeped through the skin, though his entire body and his pours we’re covered in feathers meaning it would be much more difficult for the poison to enter into his system, but there was a large slash across the feathered armour across his stomach, exposing his bare skin.

He was now 125 metres up in the air, he breathed heavily, pumping the air he’d created with suiton through himself, the red down on his chest heaving in and out. He was used to travelling at fast speeds, but this was a new level and he hadn’t had much practice using his sage mode in combat and using such a high speed constantly. He hadn’t stopped the moment the bout started. He was confident that he’d avoided the green toxic gas, after all he didn’t need to breath. Little did he know the poison was making it’s way through his system, he felt slightly nausea and felt his physical strength diminish. He wasn’t to know it was the poison, he just assumed it was fatigue.

‘I need to end this soon’ Though the Bannin, as he pushed further into the sky away from the green cloud and another further 30m into the air. Now 155 metres,

he was starting to feel tired using this much speed at all at once was begging to take it’s toll, and he couldn’t imagine how much of a toll it hadn’t taken on Shinji’s body to create these large physical transformations and literally shooting out his blood. It made his admiration for Shinji grow eve more, to use such ferocious attacks. He readied himself ready for the next incoming attack of Shinji, the timer was ticking down and Yoru knew that the significant boost he hand gained would now come to an end and what Yoru knew of the Genma and the jinchuriki, Shinji’s would soon be over as well, or at least he hoped.

As he continued to fly upwards, he weaved a flurry of hand seals as quickly as he could but he was starting to feel dizzy and his vision blurring slightly. Though it seemed fair, the pair both now had hindered vision Yoru tried to focus his byakugan and ignore any fuzziness. This had to be more than fatigue, had the poisoned worked anyway? Either way it didn’t matter now and Yoru didn’t have time to think about it, normally the short range between the two wouldn’t be enough for him to get of a set of hand seals, but the jutsu was a relatively weak one.

Senbon poured out of his knuckles made completely of ration, rather than using them to strike as though the jutsu was originally made for he forced them out shooting them directly at the incoming beast, aiming at five his left shoulder (do birds have shoulders?) and five at his right arm (wing?). Yoru knew full well these senbon, if struck would do very little damage but they would crease a diffused paralysation into those areas.

Yoru didn’t have much left in the tank, he knew that for sure he pondered if Shinji had much left either?

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Sat Aug 28, 2021 5:47 pm

[OOC: They start 30 meters apart, Shinji is 15 meters off the ground, Yoru is 45 meters in the air looking down on him. As Yoru stops in the air to perform handseals for a simple D-Rank ninjutsu Shinji begins approaching him, with his 46 Strength and 55 Speed. Yoru then performs an S-Rank Taijutsu shout meant to disorient Shinji but it doesn't affect him because currently, they both have 50 Willpower. Shinji then transforms into a massive phoenix. For some reason, I didn't include the size of its body in the description but it has 12 meter long tailfeathers and a 30 meter wingspan so I think we can reasonably assume the body is at least 15 meters long and the head/beak is around 5 meters or so. The speed of transformation is in contention though typically I believe they are considered instant after the brief green glow around Shinji that comes before his transformations which based on his ability as Jinchuuriki of the Body genma has always been considered closer to taijutsu than ninjutsu. At this point Shinjiro should be right on top of Yoru as he attempts to fly away at the same speed of 55. At this point I don't see how distance can be gained and that they should be reasonably close to eachother, within a few meters at least, especially as Yoru throws kunai at Shinjiro, still looking down on him as he tries to fly away. Shinji uses his breath attack and a heavenly taijutsu maneuver to surround himself with poisonous blood and exhale poisonous gas as he continues to maintain a very short distance as they both fly upward. At such a short-range I don't see how Yoru could completely avoid the poisonous gas and aura of blood or somehow keep a distance of 30 meters from before the sequence of actions.]

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:03 pm

OOC:

Since taking flight, Yoru has continued an upwards trajectory, I never once said he stopped, but at those 30m markers as the rules limit him from breaking that distance but the moment Shinji moves 1inch closer, Yoru is moving upwards 1inch at all times. He was already 30m away from Shinji and has maintained that distance since taking flight.

He performed his scream, the crown not working indicated to him that Shinji’s mind would be too strong for it to work and he cut it short whilst still flying upwards. (Though nowhere does it say Yoru has to stay still while performing this)

Your transformations, cannot be in an instant. If you physical grow, it has to take X amount of time for your body to grow from point A to point B, I even asked you this. I said, “I assume 50?” Which you seemed to agree upon, so I wrote accordingly. Whatever stat this growth is decided upon, I assume a physical stat such as strength or even mastery? It would still be capped at 50 and Yoru is currently flying at 55 speed, he also gets to maintain his boost for longer as you posted yours earlier than mine. Even if it’s decided that your speed of transformation is based on speed (which is currently 50) Yoru is moving upwards, already at 30m at full speed of 55, meaning he’d still have the distance advantage and be out of the range of both techniques.

[OOC:

First, yeah Iza need you to edit the body size into the jutsu description on your next mod, but we'll go with the size you cited. TBH if that had been challenged I would have said the jutsu couldn't be used if you can't agree on a size but its too late to challenge that part.

Anyways, with the speed, transformation speed can be at Shinji's speed stat. Which presents something of a conundrum, because if he's growing in size as he transforms, he wouldn't increase in speed, but would cover increasing amounts of distance, since presumably his transformations move from center mass. You guys have used roughly the same number of jutsu, but Yoru's endurance is a bit lower from the top. Shinji currently has 55 speed, not 50 (which is what Lac said he did), so there is a speed tie there. I think if the distance was less, the endurance difference for the two might come into play, but I don't think it does here.

What this comes out to is that Shinji likely gains a little on Yoru, purely because of the sheer size of the transformation. If he was returning to normal size, it probably wouldn't.

I'm sure there is an actual mathematical equation to determine how much distance Shinji would gain by transforming, but given a 30m wingspan, I'm going to estimate his body would be similar in length (since thats how biology works), you said 40m, so thats fine when you account for the 12m long tail. That leaves 28m. So I'm going to guess he'd gain about half the distance by merit of transforming, so there's roughly 16m between them.

Given that, I don't think Shinji's aura would reach him, Yoru would be just out of range. But the breath burst probably would, as it goes forward a distance, and also expands at it's speed. So it would engulf Yoru by nature of that.

Also, you should both be aware that the 30m limit is vertical, not lateral.]

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Fri Sep 17, 2021 4:52 pm

Shinjiro had been able to apply constant pressure on his opponent throughout the bout, but that too meant that he had been fighting at his maximum capacity. It was not unusual for Shinji to commit heavily to an aggressive approach though it was exceptionally rare for his opponents to withstand his initial onlsaught let alone a second or third wave of attacks. Yoru had caused him to push hinself farther than ever before. His entire body screamed in Agony and only through extreme conditioning and willpower was he able to force himself to press onward. No doubt after the bout he would be bedridden for a few days. Fortunately it was his last match of the tournamnent and he would be able to take a few weeks to fully recover.

Beyond the physical damage to his torn muscles and heavy blood loss, he was nearing exhaustion though he wouldn't allow himself to stop fighting until the timer sounded or the match was decisively ended one way or another. He managed to get close enough to catch his opponent in some of his poison, a small victory that might award him a chance to catch his breath. He couldn't be too reckless after all. And as his opponent launched a n attack of Raiton senbon, Shinji backed off once more, flapping his powerful wings he drastically slowed his forward momentum and carved hard to the left, avoiding the much slower projectiles at the cost of giving his opponent ample room to manuever and get well out of range.

He would take this time to slow down to a more comfortable speed of about 40, dipping and descending, letting gravity and his weight and downward trajectory take some of the phywical burden off of him. Though as he focused on his breathing he embraces the nature of the phoenix, raising his body temperature to painful levels that he could hardly notice given the extreme pain he was already in. The blood around him would steam and the air around him would ripple and distort from the heat as his surface layer of skin sweltered to the point of nearly combusting. 'Might as well give it everything I have' he considered, accepting the risk to himself as he forced himself to go even further.

However, he wouldn't attack his opponent yet. His aggression had yielded very little and he needed time to regroup. Keeping moving he would descend in a spiral pattern, tilting back and forth to keep maneuverable and readily able to roll and perform evasive actions as needed. As he moved the aura of evaporating blood surrounded him and trailed behind him, giving an image similar to being shrouded in flames. "No more running Yoru, hit me with everything you have!" he challlenged, bellowing out with his voice low and layered. He knew his opponent must be feeling the strain as well, it seemed a final confrontation was near and he hoped to be able to feel pride in being able to withstand one of the ninjutsu specialists more grand attacks that he had displayed in his earlier matches. There was no question Shinji held the advantage in close quarters and while Yoru's speed and evasiveness were remarkable it was his ninjutsu talent that truly made him a threat. Now would be his chance to land a decisive strike.

Reaching the point of unreal the adept is capable of focusing their mind and body to great lengths. They control the surface temperature of their skin to raise to unimaginable degrees, nearly causing them to burst into flames, to repel attacks from opponents. They must focus for a full post but can sustain this stance for (Endurance/5) posts. This heat does hurt but does not travel beyond the surface layers of their body, protecting the inner tissue. While in use the user moves constantly in wide arcs, dispersing heat rapidly to prevent too much damage.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Fri Sep 17, 2021 5:33 pm

Yoru sighed as Shinji moved through the air surpsingly allogently for such a large beast, avoiding the senbon with ease. The Bannin had hoped that the famed Genma of Kiri would carry on moving forward but now he’d relinquished the full power of the genma, Yoru’s own jutsu right from the start would of worn off. Meaning Shinji wouldn’t need fight on pure aggression.

Now, the notorious shinobi of Konoha’s own power had being reduced, he was still covered in feathers but couldn’t access the physical prowess anymore. He could now feel Shinji’s thoughts course through his mind, meaning whatever he’d done to bolster his mind was now negated.

He smiled as Shinji offered the challenge, they both flied high in the air “It’s being an honour to fight you Shinji, but now I must end this!” he sighed heavily, his body ached and only for the sake of embarrassment he’d have thrown up. Yoru was tempted to use his full might and draw from the sky itself and bring out on of his most powerful attacks, but he had to fight smart.

Already 155 meters in the air, flinging a kunai up in the air behind himself. Yoru held a single hand seal flying through space itself landing on the ground below where a piece of his shuriken had landed. Wasting no time, he weaved his hands together weaving a flurry of hand seals. He puffed out as chest as though he was about to release a powerful blast of chakra from his mouth.

“You were asleep and at peace my faithful squire, a branch snapped and I moved in close to your fire, a hulking shape appeared from the still of the night, through his dripping jowls he begged me, ‘Father do not take flight’, I can’t find you or your clan, I want to help you if I can, are you a beast or will you be a man someday?”

His song, sung out in a beautiful high tenor tone bouncing across the arena walls and filling every inch of it. His voice echoed out, hopefully bringing Shinji into a deep sleep and fall from the sky.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Fri Sep 17, 2021 11:01 pm

As Shinjiro circled and descended while still in his large phoenix form, he kept his eyes fixed on Yoru. The small cuts had already healed for the most part, barely an inconvenience now though he was far from injured, though most if not all of his wounds were from himself straining his body beyond its limits. It was a downside of his extremely high pain tolerance and highly aggressive offensive style. Suddenly Yoru disappeared and for a moment Shinji wasn’t sure if he had used an invisibility technique, genjutsu or teleportation, though scanning all around he noticed him below. He was about 100 meters in the air now and still descending rather quickly. Though he actually slowed down into more of a glide as he anticipated that his opponent would likely use the distance to unleash some type of large scale ninjutsu, and he had no idea where the attack might come from, though he suspected it would likely be raiton like he had used against Nishiki and the Jounin from Iwagakure.

Therefore, he took a few moments to catch his breath and prepare himself to accelerate quickly and attempt at least a partial evasion. However, when he heard Yoru begin to sing he realized he made a potentially critical error. Immediately he felt a sense of relaxation, it was a technique almost identical to the genjutsu Taiga had attempted against him in his match a few days prior. Fortunately, Shinjiro had been able to keep much of his own talents in genjutsu to himself, allowing others to underestimate him. His mind was one of his strongest assets, trained to recognize and resist many forms of torture, pain and the altered states of mind that genjutsu could bring on. However, he wasn’t completely impervious to them, his fine control of chakra was quite lacking for someone of his rank and therefore he typically relied on Vorashu to actually break him free of genjutsu even when he could recognize the effects on his own. ‘I feel tired, heavy. Vorashu, is it genjutsu? Or am I really just that exhausted?' he inquired, hoping to confirm his suspicions. But he heard no answer, in fact searching within himself he could feel his connection to Vorashu felt disturbed. Like he was talking into a void rather than the usual realm where Vorashu resided within his mind. ‘You lazy bastard, answer me, damn it!’ he shouted to no avail. In this form he couldn’t form a handsign to break himself free even if his chakra control was greater.

It seemed Yoru was well suited to fighting Jinchuuriki indeed. But that didn’t mean Shinjiro would give up. As long as he was still conscious, he would fight. It was difficult to muster aggressive thoughts but he didn’t need to rely on primal aggression. He was a trained assassin first and foremost, his body could react on instinct and conditioning to some extent. Still, tucking his wings he allowed his body to go limp and fall from the sky, fighting to keep his mind active. His eyes hazy he adjusted his fall slightly, keeping himself on target to aim right on top of Yoru. His thoughts too were hazy, ‘Stay awake, it’s not over’ he repeated to himself, not thinking directly of any plan beyond not giving up. At a elevation of 20 meters he pulsed the blood aura to spread across the entire arena. If any touched Yoru at all it would seep into body and carry with it his paralyzing poison, though at this point the most it would achieve would be forcing his opponent to collapse shortly after the match ended. Still, as soon as the blood aura was dispersed Shinjiro would transform back into himself, getting his feet under him and landing as he drew both swords and let out a mighty kiai as he forced himself into a Zantou stance, the style his last resort when pushed to his absolute limits. Even through his fatigue and intense drowsiness he could muster a second wind at least until the genjutsu fully sunk in. Wielding both blades he whistled as his arrow Malevolence sprang to action, firing off at 50 speed toward Yoru, and the second he moved to avade it, the legendary weapon would split into two and track him from both sides. Assuming Yoru was able to evade the weapons he would simply try to keep up pressure on him while he channeled chakra before shouting another kiai and hopefully affecting Yoru in a genjutsu of his own. His skin was still burning hot, covered in dried blood and his chest heaved in exhaustion as he forced every bit of willpower into fighting as long as he could will himself to continue. All of his focus was on his target but he knew his time was running out.

B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 25 Endurance [Rigid Structure]
Having trained extensively in fighting through adversity and developing a strong will Shinji has developed the ability to fight through the sensations of particularly foul smells and tastes. He will still experience them but can do so without compromising his ability to fight. This also means he is able to avoid the detrimental effects of nausea and dizziness.

Assassins Fortitude
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequitite: [Rigid Structure]
Having grown up exposed to all manner of pain and torture both Shinjiro’s mental tolerance and his pain receptors have been numbed and conditioned to block out pain, allowing him to easily surpass the threshold of most shinobi. He can withstand critical lacerations, burns, fractures, bludgeoning and electrocution without even flinching. This allows him to continue to fight and push through such sensations without impairing his focus. The drawback to such resistance is that he can very easily underestimate how badly he is injured which could lead to potentially fatal consequences. Moreover, breaking genjutsu through pain becomes much more difficult and highly impractical.

Using the second part of his red demon jutsu:

“This stance can last for up to 7 posts and upon dispersal the bloody mist will pulse outward to a 25-meter radius at a speed equal to his strength, shedding the rest of the blood on the surface of Shinji’s skin and anything soaked into his clothes before returning his skin tone to normal.”

Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. The level of skill the practitioner has attained allows the practitioner to effectively attack and block from a neutral stance without any detriment. While in this Stance, the practitioner can effortlessly ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore extreme heat, extreme cold, moderate oxygen deprivation, extreme fatigue, and even extreme pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning very accurately in this stance, and they are able to read the direction, the type, the timing, and the speed of an attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +4 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -4 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

Malevolence
“For nobody is curious, who isn't malevolent.”
An arrow, approximately 2 feet in length, with a steel tip and flayed bottom. Malevolence is a single weapon, and is controlled often through the user’s voice, though variations have existed throughout history. The speed in which Malevolence moves, and the strength in which it strikes is equal to that of the user’s 'Malevolence' weapon stat. Its slim body and simple design makes it difficult to see coming, and even harder to dodge, and its ability to be controlled makes it able to make sharp turns, simply stop in mid-air, and easily alter its course. Additionally, the arrow is capable of splitting itself, creating 2 individuals that can all be controlled independently of each other. This weapon is stored in a thin black sheath at Shinji’s left hip with the tip pointing outward there remains just enough space in the sheath to flow poisons into it, able to coat the length of the arrow while retaining a snug fit for the weapon. Coated with Touch of Mortality and Shinigami's Kiss.

[Genjutsu • Equilibrium]
A-Ranked Warp Genjutsu
After channelling chakra, anyone that feels the vibrations from one of Shinji's roars/kia shouts be affected by this genjutsu. The targets do not need to be directly hit by the wind blast or physically feel the sensation, even transfering the vibrations of the attack through another surface will suffice. Those affected will feel their balance immediately falter as they lose sense of their equilibrium, making it extremely difficult to orient themselves and perform taijutsu. Moreover, their vision will rotate and continue to flip three times to the right and then three times back to the left and repeat this constantly for the next 5 posts.

*[Zantou • Polar Bear Roar]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 35 Strength.
Reflexively torquing muscles around the body, the practitioner releases the pent up energy with a fierce kiai, the amount of energy released so potent that it violently stirs the air up around the practitioner up to a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength in all directions with wildly alternating wind currents. This technique is able to destroy bindings and repel attacks, projectiles, and ninjutsu with a strength equal to 1/2 of the practitioner's Strength stat, rounded down, often simply diverting these attacks around or away from the practitioner instead.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by TheLacarix » Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:34 am

A wide smile spread across Yoru’s face as his song began to take hold, his thoughts made that clear enough, his winged body falling from the sky slowly transforming back into himself as his connection to Vorashu was ripped away from him.

All Yoru had to do now, was sit tight and Shinji would find himself drifting off into a deep sleep. He had to make a decision and quickly, defend or attack? Or perhaps both. His finger pressed gently against a metal ring, which was wrapped around a black piece of lace, the words Adapt and Survive. the words of his own Sensei, and the Hokage of Konahgakure no Sato came into his mind, as he weaved a flurry of hand seals. Yoru had entered this bout with the idea of only collecting intel, but now it had become much more. The pride of himself and the pride of Konoha. He felt a cold damp sensation pour through him, as he channelled suiton chakra through himself.

“For the will of fire!” he yelled, as overwhelming sense of patriotism swelled through, as Shinji continued to fall through the air blood dripping from the sky, it was quite some distance. So Yoru, should just have enough time completing the seal, whilst using his own sensei’s jutsu to try and defeat the Kiri shinobi. Water swirled around Yoru, encasing him in a defence jutsu, catching the blood from the sky and diluting it within his own water, which was now filling the small arena, hopefully grabbing both Shinji and his unique arrow, swirling him around the vortex and hopefully, combining with the Genjutsu would put the beast to rest.

Yoru hoped this would be the end, he had very little left to give.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

Post by Izanagi » Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:32 pm

The water enveloped him as he fell, absorbing the blood and turning the vortex a pink coloration. Shinjiro had managed to draw his swords and enter his stance, and even launch his arrow though channeling chakra while trying to keep hold of his weapons and guide the arrow all while being violently churned around was simply too much. Even guiding the arrow quickly became impossible as he couldn’t accurately discern where Yoru was. The vortex of water was too large, and he was being battered and spun around so quickly he could hardly get his bearings through the blood-soaked waters. Moreover, as he attempted to whistle the sound was being drowned out making guiding the arrow quite difficult and each attempt resulted in more water forcing its way into his lungs. He had been drowned before but never with such overwhelming force. Even for him, it was immensely painful, it felt like his lungs were being impaled and his body bruised, broken, and crushed as he was thrashed around. There was no room to recover.

The sleep induced by the genjutsu would likely be broken the closer the torrent of water became to becoming life-threatening, though truthfully, he was so exhausted and struggling just not to drown that it was nearly impossible to tell the difference. His hood and mask were swept off. The crusted blood washing away. The heat emanating from his body dispersed. There was no way to create fire in such conditions. At some point, he lost consciousness but then was violently woken again from the battering and the drowning, though still, it was too difficult to focus enough to transform. Perhaps if he had Vorashu to help guide him and encourage him to persist but his connection to the Genma was either still blocked somehow or it simply didn’t have any desire to assist him. But either way, the timer had sounded, and a large stone wall would break apart the vortex and release Shinjiro from the water. Sputtering and gasping for breath he expelled a large amount of water from his lungs, heaving in desperate gasps for air. The young man looked like a drowned rat, his cloak heavy and clinging to his body and his light brown hair slick against his head as his bright green eyes fluttered and his body struggled to move as he lay face down in the mud. He had been saved by the timer, but in his mind, much like his last match, he had been defeated. Though perhaps the judges would have something to say in his favor but either way he felt the passion and anger burning within him. He despised losing; showing any weakness. The young Overseer of the Seven Swordsmen felt a uncontrollable need to train as soon as possible. Improve his chakra control, develop an elemental affinity and finally master the full breadth of skills that being a Jinchuuriki allowed him. ‘Damn these Konoha shinobi. I need more. I need to be better!’ he screamed in his mind, mentally and physically he was in agony but that would only fuel him to be better. At only 20 years old he was still quite young with a great deal of room to grow but this tournament was his first real failing. He had always excelled, always been the best, and age or lack of experience had never been an excuse before, he had been able to surpass any obstacle. But these two; Taiga and Yoru. They were something else entirely.

Exhibition: Yoru vs Shinji

The vortex of water engulfed Shinjiro, dragging him into the depths of the water. Yoru’s white eye peered through the water keeping his eye on the man ready to defend himself, if need be, though he didn’t expect much to happen now, but it was always smart to defend yourself.

The klaxon rang out, to indicate that the bout had ended. Yoru’s fingers edged towards one another to end the jutsu but before he had a chance a large stone wall would hurtle out separating the two and disappearing the water, leaving nothing but puddles.

The wall was now between the two and there was no way around for the two shinobi to get to one another, of course they were both powerful shinobi and if they truly wanted to they’d be capable of breaking through the wall and getting at one another.

The feathers on Yoru’s body slowly fell onto the ground below, landing in the puddles with a gentle spash. He searched the arena for his eye patch, it was there on the floor just a head of him, his fingers grasped around it picking it up, damp to his touch. Shaking off as much water as he could, tying it around the back of his head, deactivating the byakugan. It was one issue with using a transplanted eye, it simply couldn’t be deactivated.

Yoru stood wearing nothing but his trousers and his sandals his green haori ripped to shreds by his own transformation, glaring out into the audience, a gentle applause rung out for Yoru, th it was soon drowned out with boos and jeers, making it even more clear how unpopular a shinobi was even amongst his own citizens. Yoru didn't wave at them or cheer in victory, he ignored them as though they weren't even there.

The famed Bannin had very little energy left, but he was still on his feet, gasping for air, he had a slight limp and was incredibly stiff. He pondered how Shinji was, he could no longer see through the wall but he heard one last thought through his crown ‘I need to be better!’ Perhaps was that true, but Shinji had fought incredibly well and if Yoru hadn’t of struck out and brought out Vorashu so early perhaps Shinji could of fought more with a clear mind and out smarted Yoru, which was certainly possible.

At least now the bout was over and all that was left was for the judges to make their decsion on the victor, it hadn't being made clear how they allocated points, but Yoru was confident he had won but only time would tell.

"Until we meet again Shinji."

Very interesting fight. Two very good writers going back and forth, maybe my favorite I've read so far.

The winner is...
SpoilerShow
Aizawa, Yoru!

Hilariously, Yoru went in with a goal and didn't really achieve it, if I was judging this purely OOC and IC judges didn't matter, I might rule differently, lmao. However, both contestants fought very well, and neither can be scoffed at in their character prowess, nor the strength of either of your writing.
"It's so sad!" the reader said to the writer with a frown. "The character in my book just died!" The author turned to her and burst out into tears, "I know!" he said, "So did mine!"
