Shiun had always hated crowds. Ever since she had started her journey away from home where she was familiar with the people and had a general level of comfort to be had in individuals who were like, and thus could empathize, with her she had developed a deep dislike of being alone in a crowd of people without someone close by that she could recognize. That was exactly where she was now, unfortunately.

Night had fallen over the Iron Banner Festival. Torches and campfires had been lit in the streets. Warm yellow light spilled out of windows. There were just as many people out and about now as had been in the early morning - laughing, talking, exchanging, showing off, showing up. Some entrepreneur had set up some kind of makeshift wrestling arena that had a small crowd of people betting around it. Was it Sumo? Shiun couldn't tell. She was pretty sure she'd passed by those guys at least five times now.

The purple headed Kinoko was lost, totally. She had been all day and now that night had fallen she found herself trudging through the street, too tired to keep up her façade of bravado any longer! The young girl groaned in exhaustion, mostly mental, arms swaying from side to side with her every step, slumped forward, dead-looking eyes looking even more dead than usual. By all accounts people were giving her a wide berth because they assumed something was wrong with her. At the very least she had managed to not get trampled today, so that was something. The big purple mushroom cap on her head probably helped keep her visible enough to avoid that particular fate at least.

"UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH... where IS everyone...?" she desperately asked no one in particular. The amethyst clad samurai slowly turned her head to the left to look into the crowd. Nope. No one she recognized there. She turned her head to the right - uh-uh, no one there either. Same thing as it had been all day, not a single person in sight that she knew or recognized and she'd been all over this stupid place it felt like! Where was Suzuko? Where was Goda-senpai? Where was anyone!? 'How did I really manage to lose my way this hard? I don't even know where the hotel we're supposed to be staying at is... wait... are we staying in a hotel!?' she thought to herself and the realization that she couldn't even remember if they were staying anywhere specific as a group made her tilt her head back and groan out into the night, just shy of a full on scream!

"How did you guys lose me!?" she demanded to know, pulling her hands up to her face and tugging down on her cheeks in exhaustion. Maybe she should just find somewhere to sit down, stay put, wait until they came and find her themselves. She hadn't tried that all day at any rate, so maybe it'll work?

Kasuri made her way down the alleys and by-ways, making sure to stay where the people weren’t. She had enough fo the festival, for now, and it was already dark. The thumping noises of the music and the general din of people faded away, faded until there was nothing but blissful silence. And Ayago, she supposed.

Ayago was regaling Kasuri with a tale of how she had brought two lovers together who were destined to be, using the red thread that bound one to their true love when both of them heard a groan, bordering on a scream break the relative silence. Kasuri knew a girl in need of help when she heard it and she sighed, her ample bosom heaving upward and downward.

“You’re destined to meet this girl, I just know it.” Ayago intoned telepathically to the Kyudo-ite girl. Kasuri tucked a teal strand that had strayed from her festival updo behind her ear.

“Yeah, but she doesn’t sound too happy about it.” Kasuri said aloud. She realized that when she spoke aloud, she could think about other things, but get the general point across to Ayago, which meant that she could focus on making her way back to the crowd and tripped, rather clumsily, over a bowl that had been discarded by some passer-by in the middle of the road.

Geta’s clattering against the stones of the street, bowl rattling between the both of them and rendering her attempts to right herself and not fall over futile, she flailed, jumped, slid, and bowled over herself, knocking into the poor purple-hatted girl. Ayago clattered underneath her with telepathic curses and Kasuri, in a pile of limbs found herself staring up at the lights of the festival, surrounded by the crowd that was trying to give berth to the girl with the purple mushroom hat.

“Ah, one of those nights mmm?” She said to no one in particular, looking up at the night sky, before blowing another loose strand of hair out of her face. It gently wafted back down, settling exactly where it had been before her attempt to alleviate the tickle.

The night was still, the warmth left over from the day still resided within the area leaving a comfortable feeling over the small child. Akihiko made his way through the town with his pink hair flowing as he held a bag with his left hand. With his right he would reach out into the bag and pull out handfuls of sweet popcorn, otherwise known as kettle corn. Since his experience in this festival, Aki had taken a liking to this sweet and salty treat. The flavor of both the sweet sugar and saltiness combined really well when covered over some crunchy popcorn. Since the childish Genin didn't have sweets like this often... or at least allowed sweets like this, he was shoveling the treat in his mouth like it was the last meal on earth.

With the bright moon lighting the night, a feint couple figures stood out from the rest. A woman with a large purple mushroom for a head and someone older but had blue hair? Although both of these new figures stood before him, what really through him off was a girl that had a PURPLE MUSHROOM CAP ON HER HEAD. Within the confines of his mind he heard Ryenso even say "WHAT IS THAT, STRIKE IT BOY, NO TIME!". When Akihiko got close to them, he could hear that he was having a conversation. Instead of rudely interrupting he wanted to make a lasting impression. Maybe this unique person could be a new friend! Also, maybe with enough charm Aki naively make two new friends! However, as he arrived to the two, he didn't actually stop shoveling popcorn in his mouth like a dog running to get dinner. He was so distracted by the mushroom head, that he forgot not only he was eating kettle corn like a barn animal, but that he also forgot to breathe. This combination came into light, when Akihiko saw his shadow from the reflection coming off of the moon. The combination of the two, resulted in this realization and Akihiko tried to gain back his breath. With the swift attempt to regain his breath, a couple pieces of popcorn got lodged down his through. The sweet delicious popcorn that was once the reason he wanted to keep living became the reason he was dying. The pre-teen stopped walking and dropped all of the popcorn he was fisting in his right hand. That hand swiftly went to his throat. Experiencing this for the first time, Aki truly didn't know what to do.

Shiun, exhausted as she was, was not prepared in the slightest to be barreled into by the older woman who came tripping into her slouched over form with all of the suddenness of a train wreck! Knocked off balance, Shiun came crashing down towards the street herself but for one glorious moment she was flying! Knocked off her feet as she was, her limp arms went flying off to the side with the force of the impact and careened upwards, body bending in the same direction from the force of the blow. Her eyes were shut and the expression on her face was actually quite serene as her legs came flying up out from under her. Like a moment in time caught within a painting she was, in that instant, falling, floating, beautiful, eternal.

Then the moment passed and she came crashing down into the dirty street practically face first but for the grave of her cap which, thankfully, prevented her from eating dirt by grave of taking the impact for it. The fungal flesh was smooshed from the impact on the front right hand side. It would bruise and grow dark in that area rather quickly, as mushrooms tended to do, but would fade over the next few days like an ordinary bruise would. Shiun laid on the ground for a few seconds just... laying there. Not really wanting to get up. She was tired. Maybe someone would come pick her up. Or maybe just no one would step on her if she stayed laying down in the street like this. Yeah... maybe...

Groggily the Kinoko pushed herself back up onto her elbows, lifting her head and letting out a low groan. Could this get any worse? Shiun rolled herself onto one side and looked over her shoulder at the woman who had bumped into her, laying on the ground and... hey wait a second she recognized her! Well, sort of, her face! It was familiar! A samurai from Heart who was on this trip with them! "Hey!" she said, intending to go off on her but was stopped by the sound of coughing coming from close by. Distracted, frazzled, she turned her head and saw the young boy standing not far away from where she had landed, hand on his throat, popcorn on the ground, coughing up a storm. Did he...? Was he...?

"Hey!" she cried, scrambling to her feet as training and instinct both kicked in. Once standing she jogged over to where the pink haired boy was standing, held up her hands, saying, "Uhm! Uhm! Uhm! Hold still! Sorry! Uhm!" and then she was moving behind him, placing her hands on his back. She focused for a second or two, channeling her chakra and her hands glowing green with it as she worked her iijutsu, sending her chakra into the lungs of the boy and up his esophagus to dislodge and send whatever it was he might have been choking on up and out of his mouth in a sudden impromptu CPR session!

Jutsu UsedShow
*[Iijutsu • CPR]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest or back. By allowing the chakra to be channeled throughout the lungs and up through the air ways, any unseen, solid or liquid obstructions will be cleared from these passages and ejected through the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe more easily. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to stimulate it as if it was manually receiving CPR.

Kasumi picked herself up and was about to be told off when a fit of coughing caught her and her unexpected acquaintance's attention. A boy with hair like cotton candy was coughing and spluttering up a storm. She and the other girl ran over to him. Desperately she watched the crowd and shouted, "Is there a doctor?"

Looks like she has it in hand, already. Very good technique use for CPR. She will have points with him. Ahh young love. Ayago sounded more and more like an old match-maker. Kasuri sighed and ran a hand through her hair, already mussed from falling over the girl, "Sorry for tripping over you like that." She said to the mushroom girl, "And are you alright?"

He was breathing, so there wasn't any danger. It's only really dangerous if he stops making any sound whatsoever and there isn't any movement of air. Ayago butted into her mind again. Kasuri relaxed, relieved by the information.

"Apparently, if you're coughing, it's alright. Ayago told me." Kasuri extended a hand to the both of them, attempting to help them up, "I'm Kasuri, by the way, Samurai of the newly formed Heart Country. May Fuhen reign for a hundred years." She grinned. Kasuri had only met him once, but the impression she had of him was quite brilliant. He was a down-to-earth sort that didn't fancy high-falutent introductions, and didn't really care whether or not he was seen as a shogun in public. He seemed like the good sort, and Kasuri was proud to stand under a banner with him.

Shiun's quick response made Akihiko feel surprisingly comfortable in what would be an extremely uncomfortable moment. When she provided cpr and pressed her hands against his back, the popcorn that got stuck popped out of his mouth and landed on the ground. Kasuri walked over to Akihiko as well to provide comforting words. The child blushed a little bit with all of these women around him. However, the blush was only a second or two, before his eyes got fixated on the bag of kettle corn that was dropped on the ground. He reached to grab it and hold it close to him as if it was a cherished photo. The pink haired boy would get up with nothing but a smile on his face. "Oh wow, I'm sorry to scare you like that. Thank you for saving me though! My name is Aki, full name Akihiko from Kumogakure." After introducing himself he would bow his head out of respect, something he was taught to do when meeting new people. Politeness wasn't his strongest suit, but the delinquent was told specifically to act polite when meeting new people... especially outside of the village. At the end of the day, he did represent Kumo.

Aki, would lift his head slightly and ask simply "What are your names?" This would be followed with his right hand going back into the container of popcorn left over from when he dropped it.

Shiun looked over at the woman who had bumped into her with all the briefness afforded to someone giving medical care to another. "I'm fine, just some superficial bruising on my cap. It'll go away," she said while she continued to channel her chakra. Shiun's attention was a bit split st the moment but she did catch the name Ayago... Who was that exactly? Who told her coughing was fine?

No time to properly give those thoughts credence though as her jutsu did it's work and the pink haired boy stopped his coughing. She removed her hands from his back and let out a sigh. A life saved by iijutsu once again. Man, jutsu we're great! Aki caught her attention by thanking her and apologizing for scaring them both, and that's when her mouth got away from her brain. Scoffing, the Kinoko's expression grew hard and she jutted her arm forward, finger pointed both vaguely upwards and in Aki's direction. "If you really wanted to not scare us you should have chewed your food better!" she scolded before immediately regretting her words and softening up, whole body going limp. She straightened up and brought her hand to her mouth to cough in it as if clearing her throat.

"Shiun Kinoko, an Akibushi samurai of the Heart Empire... And... Did you say you were from Kumogakure?"[/color] Shiun asked tentatively after introducing herself.
