Fanho stood in the field as he wrapped his hands giving a little extra padding on the knuckles. Draped in a black t-shirt tucked into white pants, Fanho stretched his arms as he hopped on his feet warming himself up. It'd had been a long time since him and Zakuro had spoken. It seems like after he returned to the village, some time was spent locked up ensuring his rehabilitation went well, and then the other half it was spent on missions with observation to ensure he wasn't a risk. Then after that Fanho spent his time touring the world gaining experience, training with the Raikage and Kazekage. Getting worldly experience for his new position as the Hokage.

The future Hokage didn't dwell on the time of Zakuro leaving the village, to him was a blip in history and nothing more. As far as it concerned him it was bygones of a time, Fanho figuratively erased. Being the only shinobi truly injured in Zakuro's fleeing from the village, Fanho had more sway to force the councils hand into re-accepting Zakuro. Now Zakuro looked like some foreign traveler, rugged, hulking, and taking a different aesthetic than the one Fire Country and Konoha people were known for.

None-the-less Fanho was excited to see his friend. It had been ages, certainly far too long for his liking. He had gotten to see Taiga, pal around with him, talk with Takeo once more, enjoy tea with Aina, and even meet some Heart samurai that were apart of the exchange program. Yet he had yet to sit down and really talk with Zakuro. Perhaps it'd be easier for his friend to communicate over blows, from the heart, and well also the fist.
