Akira left the outskirts of Iron Country behind, not finding the situation too favourable anymore despite the generosity presented by Mitsuhide as he suspected the confrontation with the murderous kidnapper would raise unwanted attention.
Besides he was running out of materials and funds to further any serious upgrades to himself and he was well functioning enough now not to require hiding out in some poor families home, though he wasn't sure where he could gather more especially since he was still trying to gain an understanding of the current age's on goings.

That being said the mechanical cloaked figure ventured along a quiet road into Pebble country where he couldn't be too sure if it was any better but he understood that it at least stood its ground as a peaceful country with the might to back up and festivals to show for it, as such he felt that so long he did not disturb the peace he would be fine and he could find something, anything, to build up his resources and knowledge.

On his journeys Akira had at least began to reform his speaking capability making things a little easier to get along which seemed to help him recall even some of his jutsu and get more help in fixing his puppet body, though he definitely required more and as he stepped into a smaller village near the outskirts much like before he did wonder if he wasn't being adventurous enough and was being too afraid of the uncertainty of the world around him and yet he supposed he had to start somewhere and small suited him for now.

The giant did stand out a fair bit amongst the village people as he wandered in looking to see if there was anywhere to stay, though he was getting used to weird looks and stares so he put those behind him but he couldn't help wonder if there was more to them this time.
An unease came over the ancient puppeteer as he glanced around at the staring villagers, most of whom swiftly looked away and got on with their jobs, taking in what the village could offer him whilst trying to figure out what it was that spooked him.
It truly wasn't clear but his twisted, metal, left hand pushed out from under his cloak as he glanced down at it from his false eyes as if looking for goosebumps that could not possibly be there.
"Someone isn't just looking, they are watching..." his thoughts trailed in his would be mind as he felt the eyes of no mere villager upon him, though, then again, he couldn't be certain and perhaps he was being overly paranoid given his current situation.

There wasn't much time when you had the position that Enzaragi now as a general he was the highest order of military general and rank meaning he had to be the one responsible for making sure to oversee that everything went as it should a weak army or major oversight could spell the doom for their nation if the national security wasn't strong. He had the responsibility of turning countries full of pacifists into capable warriors and the only way he could do that was by making them as professional as possible. Without his long-dead father's teachings in his childhood, Enzaragi would have had little idea on how to do so but he had succeded the country was strong or at least strong enough to stand on its own as Enzaragi was out looking for potential recruits and allies.

Enzaragi usually went on recruiting mercenaries via recruiting parties usually a unit from the army at various ranks. They would then find willing recruits and offer them large benefits that would outweigh anything that they were previously offered before turning them from mere mercenaries to professional soldiers under his command and with a little extra convincing them that SOF is one of the better countries with good people and a most leisurely life aside from training. These mercenaries turned from soldiers of fortune to volunteers. Why wander when you could have a permanent and guaranteed salary, home, and glory without needing to worry about the constant battle and associating with shady figures that could and would stab you in the back given the opportunity? Even those who had mere wanderlust got more than what they bargained for.

Usually, he would do this within SOF itself it was a lot easier to convince mercenaries to join the legion if they were already a citizen and had some stakes to protect their own country at least to some degree but sometimes going outside the confines of SOF was necessary if they were to build and a larger army. So he had found himself on the road from Pebble country seeing a neutral country as a possible place to find enthusiastic recruits.

This time he was only accompanied by a few soldiers this time they were ordered to specifically look out for people who stood out as unusually large or skilled. These things usually took a great amount of time a lot of talking and demonstrations and tests but this time Enzaragi spotted a rather giant creature... Which didn't help in part that everyone seemed to spear a shadowy metallic figure amongst them that definitely piqued Enzaragi's interest.

Enzaragi observed carefully as he didn't want to spook whatever this thing was not only that but he didn't know if this thing was even worth his time. Now that is an unusually large person. Let's see what it's about. The idea excited Enzaragi he had already found a potential prospect but the reactions from the villagers made him skeptical why did this figure frighten the villagers? Was he new here was he a stranger? Only one way to find out.

Akira couldn't just stand around like a fool so he tucked his arm away and shook off the feeling of goosebumps, stepping further into the village with great strides probably appearing to most as a man in a suit of armour just a rather tall man.
As villagers looked upon him in confusion, some trying not to stare, the ancient being approached and greeted them without a word but clearly appearing to be helpful where he could.

The giant helped an older gentleman hold a table steady, handed a ball to a child, carried a woman's things over to her house, just generally helping her and there as he made his way into the village proper with the hope that each little bit eased the people and made himself out as a friendly giant.
Once he finally started to get deeper and properly in the village that was when he finally noticed them; the group that stood out similar to himself and perhaps what had given him the goosebumps before and perhaps had made the villagers even more confused and wary of him due to already having such visitors all the way out here.

As Akira walked further in his focus in particular on the white cloaked figure, a young girl bumped into him and fell on the floor due to his sheer robust size and so he bent down and helped her on her feet with a pat on the head and a little bod.
"T-thank you mister" the girl managed to get out before running off.
To her it still probably seemed like a weird man in armour especially the bulky right arm but looking up at his face and seeing nothing but a thin slit across where the eyes would be certainly would add confusion "could he see?" one might ask.
In truth he was a living puppet and his vision could potentially be from anywhere on his body but it did make sense to remain as normalised as possible so eye level behaved as expected, and it was was from there he honed in on the band of outsiders that also seemed to hone in on him which helping the girl gave a great opportunity to do so perhaps without raising too much suspicion.

Nonetheless the girl was gone now and the giant puppet stood back up and turned down the path she had ran from as he looked around for somewhere useful, that was when he spotted a bit of a workshop of sorts and so he ventured in and came right back out with a few small parts.
as he exited he looked around to see if the cloaked figure and what seemed to be his followers where still as they were before moving to go round the back of the workshop with the hope to work in peace.

Behind the workshop Akira pulled back his own cloak revealing more of himself and the whole oddity of his puppet body, which probably became more clear to those that understood as blue strings weaved from his metallic fingers and lifted a set of tools and moved to his twisted left arm.
Parts were manipulated until an old bit that had become snagged broke free and dropped to the floor and then a new piece wormed its way in, the man's tools tinkering away here and there until finally he moved the arm in a clearly more refreshing manner.

If a faceless man could look pleased then this one certainly did as he turned his spindly hand and then with a clank and a tick it seemed to whir alive as pieces shifted, realigning into something new; a sword.
"Excellent!" he joyfully thought to himself, finally getting the mechanics fixed "Though... There is still much more..." his thoughts trailed off, perhaps interrupted by another and if so such another would surely realise the true meaning behind the giant's looks: A sunagakure puppeteer, or perhaps even a human puppet renegade.

The village was rather lively, the streets bustled as the children played with each other, and the merchants bartered away as always it put a small smirk on Enzaragi's face but he knew he couldn't just sit around and look he had a specific mission here find and recruit mercenaries and turn them from mere paid foot-soldier to real professional soldiers.

The weather on the outskirts of pebble was as pleasant as it could get but for Enzaragi it was nostalgic, the more bitter air that was befitting of countries such as rock and pebble was oddly warming even when it was cold but currently that wasn't the case which probably explains why everyone was more lively then usual.

Seeing the children play and the merchant reminded Enzaragi of his own village reminiscing over his time for a bit before shaking that feeling off and focusing on the task at hand. Nostalgia didn't earn them new soldiers.

Currently, his unit was doing their jobs chatting away with the locals and looking for any particularly strong-looking individuals some others went on food breaks and of course, some got distracted by the local women often making Enzaragi snap at them to get their heads in order they were a proper now a proper professional legion they couldn't act as lowly mercenaries anymore they needed to project an exquisite image of prestigiousness fitting for an army.

Currently, the larger creature for lack of a better word was in Enzaragi's sights, Enzaragi had a difficult job but one he was confident in doing because of the latest years of his life and the experience he gained while keeping an eye on the soldiers he noticed that his strange thing was rather familiar with some of the locals kicking a ball back helping a girl who fell until he did something making to looking towards Enzaragi's direction. It likely spotted that Enzaragi had taken an interest in him before switching directions and walking towards a workshop before coming out with what seemed like random parts before rounding the corner and going around the back. What's this thing working on? Is it a man is it a woman is it both is it neither? Why does it need so many random parts?

Enzaragi gave a quick order to relax allowing his small legion to take a small break instead of being immediately distracted as they did earlier. Allowing Enzaragi to now fully focus on engaging with his current object of obsession. The general was used to moving in ways to blend in with crowds while it wasn't something he trained in it at least helped to not look completely conspicuous by being far to straightforward even if it was his preferred way of doing things. Upon reaching the workshop Enzaragi walked in softly looking around pretending to scout for various trinkets weapons and armor but he felt like they both knew what he was actually there for.

Enzaragi pulled out one of his many blades sowing it's various dents and nicks it had accumulated from years of use. "Hey, could I just borrow the workshop in the back for a bit I just want to clean up my blade. I'll give you some ryo if you could let me have it in private for a little while!" Enzaragi smiled and pulled out a bag of Ryo from one of his pouches being a leader of one of the richest countries came with a lot of benefits... While Enzaragi wasn't too much for the materialistic for the most part however he saw the use of being able to use some of his wealth to his advantage as an appreciated part of his newfound position.

Upon arriving in the back Enzaragi gave a small knock before barging in he wasn't really focused on being overly courteous he was just being nice to the stranger he was about to converse with. What he saw was a giant cloaked creature with wood and metal making up it's entire body which weirded out Enzaragi but also made him realize that the thing he was dealing with was a puppet or at the very least a person in the body of a puppet.

It's arm clanked and tinked until it suddenly turned into a sword and that was when Enzaragi knew he had hit the jackpot. "SO I presume you aren't around here are you? Forgive for looking a like a bit of a staring stranger but you must have noticed I took an interest in you." Enzaragi was trying to get to know him talking so he tried by talking casually and asking where he was from and acknowledging the subtext of this conversation. "So what brings you here? Are you running from something or did just good ol wanderlust get you?" Enzaragi removed the hooded cloak and the mask from his body as he felt that the puppet's identity had been revealed so he might as well do the same as a way to show some respect. "Oh my bad I didn't even introduce myself. I am JInsoku, Enzaragi current general of a brewing alliance that is currently known as Soverginty of freedom."

Enzaragi said his name and titles with a bit of prestige as the pious man he was he didn't put titles of great importance but he knew others did so he would use it to his advantage if he must so if speaking with a bit of flare impressed others and made them more likely to lend his ear then he would for sure use it to the best of his advantage. "So if I'm allowed to ask who are you?" While Enzaragi was patient he also needed to be quick as well he couldn't babble all day he still had duties to attend to had he more free time on his hand then he wouldn't mind doing so at all but currently he was waiting for an answer from this puppet's construction if it even could speak.

Akira was admiring his work, or at least what he could muster given his current funds, making sure the sword was truly functional now as he twisted it around here and there whilst waving it about when all of a sudden the other cloaked figure he noticed rounded the corner.
The puppet man instinctively lowered the sword and immediately began retracting it, causing the blade to clank and twist back into an arm but the inefficiency was still apparent given how slow it was and thus dissolved any opportunity to hide who he was from the man.

However the man removed his own hood and mask as he approached and began talking friendlily which put some ease on the mechanical being, though he still pulled up his cloak so that it was at least worn properly and covering him.
The words being spoken were rather inquisitive and aimed for a lot of information which put Akira in a wary state for the moment, though an introduction was eventually offered revealing the name Jinsoku and that he was apparently some lead of an alliance of sorts which peaked some interest.

The twisted arm lowered fully as its ancient master properly turned towards the curious general, a possible hint of his own intrigue coming across his empty face for those with true intuition.
"For-give... Me... b-but Iii sstill... H-have... Dif-i-culties speak-ing and un-der-stand-ing certain things" the robot of a figure finally began to speak, his voice fractured and estranged to himself as his hands moved in some kind of signs that he picked up.
"It is thanks to..." he paused and thought how to best explain things "a cer-tain... sit-u-ation I find my-self that these difffi-culties arrrisssse" it was certainly difficult to find the emotion in the broken voice, though there were hints of the intrigue and suspect within for sure.
"As for who I am... Well... I am a meeeerr re-search-er look-ing to gain know-ledge, though, I sssupose Ko-dai, Aaa-kiraaa... A-hem... Akira... Will be suf-fi-cient for a title" he continued to push onward, fighting to regain his voice
"Y-your a-a-alliance cer-tain-ly ssounds... I-Inter-resting... C-could you elab-or-rate??" he asked inquisitively, truly seeming interested as perhaps such an alliance of so called freedom would be exactly what he needed.

The answer Enzaragi was seeking was a lot more out of the ordinary then he expected it wasn't a quick and smooth answer but rather a choppy which annoyed Enzaragi's ears more then he expected but he had been through worse however it did make Enzaragi think that this wasn't at all an ordinary Invidiual this person may not be a human in the traditional sense at all.

"No need to apologize, take your time." The way he spoke was more so like a communication device malfunctioning rather than a person's normal stutter this at first Enzaragi thought that this person had partial puppetry in it's arm but this revealed that this was a fabled human puppet. Heresy in the eyes of Sunagakure and almost all residents of wind country. And in most cases Jashinist's as well however Enzaragi's own sect wasn't as judgmental only his god could be judge for the most part.

"What kind of situation? Cause the first situation you need to fix is your voice!" Enzaragi joked not only to lighten the mood of any underlying suspicion but also how this 'Akira' would react to the playful half insult.

After introducing himself Akira wanted to know more about Enzaragi's alliance undergoing a more fitting name change. "Well SOF for short, is a collection of once smaller and weaker countries that have banded together during the great war, as a way to keep themselves protected from the potential conquest and oppression of the great five." The zealot paused before continuing on the requested elaboration.

"Though it's undergoing a name change of sorts. It's meant to be a country that is symbolic in it's commitment to freedom and prosperity. So long as you behave and don't stab us in the back we'll treat you as one of our own. " A smile crept on the general's face he was admittedly proud of what he was building as he could have never imagined it.

"We could use a researcher, Akira! I don't know what your expertise are to be exact but my gut, or be it my faith tells me you may be knowledgeable "

Enzaragi felt as if he had made a good enough impression and pitch for him and his country now it was more so for Akira to decide if Enzaragi's words sounded promising enough to join him.

Akira appreciated the patience Enzaragi seemed to have with his current capabilities, though he didn't have a particularly jovial nature and so wasn't fond of the joke but he also wasn't the type to get overly upset or berate anyone and as such he simply scoffed and moved his attention to the details of the organisation.
"Your org-a-nisaation... Def-finite-ly seems to ssuit my ideals" he commented, pushing himself once more as he came to understand the freedom and safety it seemed to be built on.
"It seems y-you aarre much m-more for t-the peopllle than the s-so called... Great ffive... As you put tthem" his voice, though wavering, held great praise for the man and the alliance.
"Said ggreat five sseem so far geared toward.... T-themselves... That they meeerly push for mil-i-tarrristic might and sssuprem-macy and not for a better people, a beeeetter world and still cause these wars even now" he shook his head a little as he spoke, feeling ashamed to think of the direction Sunagakure and the others had moved.

If the human puppet were honest he still didn't quite understand this great war that was spoken of but from the bits and pieces he had gathered, it seemed it played a part in unsealing from his doom and bringing him back to life due to disturbances from the fighting and that it was as nasty as ever. Given that he certainly couldn't stand for such a thing, though in a strange way he supposed he had to thank it given he stood here now.
"I am a re-search-er who aims to improve so-ciet-y as a whole and your free-doms would cert-ain-ly align, as I hope to fight for the people, pro-tect the people and be the mind of the people" he sounded happy enough as he spoke more of his own goals
"Though... Of-course... I still have my own selfish needs, which is how I am be-fore you now... As a puppet of sorts" he felt like he could trust Enzaragi enough to confirm suspicions that he wasn't wholly human or perhaps not even human at all.
"B-but... If not for... These personal ad-vance-ments, I may not be stand-ing here now thanks to a yet un-know disease back in my time but I dare say... Given the happen-stance of when our experi-ments occurred Some things weren't quite rrright... Hence these difficulties..." he continued to slowly explain, perhaps his words even sounding a little archaic and old fashioned in pronunciations.
"Though I do con-tin-ually strive for per-fec-tion and will not be deterred... As ssuch... I push myself to improve every day" you could truly hear the strain on his voice as if he was forcing himself to speak all whilst not truly knowing how words even worked anymore, yet it was all there in the back of his mind someplace and could one day just suddenly spring forth the more he practiced and practice he would as he would not have it that his condition was worth a joke even in such a stranger's mind as he must prove him wrong and become as eloquent as he was in the past if not better.
"Would your alliance accept... Such a person were Suna-ga-kure would not?" he then posed a question in return, clearly intrigued about joining such a faction.

And a scoff was his response to his joke, Enzaragi couldn't say he expected much but was a little disappointed no matter, sometimes levity wasn't what was needed or appreciated for the situation. Evidentially he wasn't the laidback type, regardless it did seem that Enzaragi had managed to rise some interest from this man as he responded to the idea of this alliance.

For someone that seemed like they had just woken up from a long nap, Akira was rather observant which was a good sign for the general.

"Ain't it the truth? In response we had to do the same to hopefully not get conquered ourselves." Even Setsuzoku had to resort to increasing their military might and even conquest for certain areas as on an international scale, a purely pacifistic approach would have gotten them destroyed. He would hope that Akira would understand why this approach was taken during the great war so that this relationship's ground wasn't salted before it could grows roots and bear fruit.

That explained it. The man before him certainly had the demeanor of a researcher. The way he spoke and observed things made that even more clear. This certainly piqued Enzaragi interest far more than just a foot soldier, he had plenty of those already. As he continued to explain his motivations it was clear that he wanted the best but the only thing was the will. Which Enzaragi would have to test if he wanted in. Researchers were needed but if he didn't have the stomach then his wisdom and intelligence would be a waste.

Seeing the puppet confirm what he was made it evident that they had established some trust already which was certainly a good sign. The puppet's speech improved by the minute. It had gone from a more broken rhythm to something equivalent to regular speech. Something that Enzaragi noticed and found to be a lot more pleasant to listen to, and it also was just nice seeing someone struggle and then improve. It was the equivalent to seeing someone with a previously broken leg put weight on their previously weak limb and start walking properly once again.

"I believe you already. I mean your voice is already improving clearly. " A slight chuckle left Enzaragi mouth before continuing. "But yeah, We would accept someone like you. With people like me and the others that have come to us it would be hypocritical for us reject someone like you." For a county who's whole ideal was freedom if they would shut the door on Akira it would prove how frail that ideal truly was so for Enzaragi there was no other answer, even if it did run slightly in clash with his own faith. "You mentioned being a researcher, we could certainly use people like you. You would fit right in depending on what field you specialize in but you would also have to prove yourself. Nothing big just show that you can back up the talk is all." If this slight requirement was enough to dissuade the living puppet then Enzaragi would gladly move on, The alliance he had and by extension his organization didn't have a use for weak willed individuals.

They needed people with the will and the merit otherwise he had gone on this recruiting journey for nothing, if this prospect would indeed turn down Enzaragi because of his slight request.

Akira's eyes would probably squint if he had any as he tried to read this man of freedom more seriously, truly uncertain of the joviality brought about over his own situation and yet perhaps he had to settle his mind and take it for what it was: a polite jest.
In any case it seemed this organisation would be accepting of such a strange figure which he supposed made sense given the basis the group appeared to be built upon.
"Oh... I prefer to... simply... broaden one's mind across a mul-ti-tude... of sub-jects from... across the world" he commented, truly pushing his speech was was a it draining at this point but he truly wished to find his words.
"Though... I suppose... My spec-ial-ty is mech-anics and biology... at least for... now" he sounded quite pleased with himself, though perhaps distanced as he pondered about just how much he seemed to have forgotten... No, locked away for he was certain he just had to put his mind to things to remember like how he even scraped together this body in the first place and how he was already at what would be considered top level basics for stuff like puppetry and his speech and other senses were finding themselves even if slowly.
Soon enough he would reach the heights of the fabled space-time and traversing through portals in a blink of an eye with skill far superior than anyone in his family ever imagined... Even a long gone family.

The giant robot of a man then fortified himself mentally as he turned to fully face Enzaragi and gave a proper bow of his head
"Indeed... I am all yours" he spoke happily "What-ever needs must... I am no stran-ger to com-pleting tasks re-quired of me" he added sternly, sincere in what he said even if his voice was beginning to truly waver.
"A true man... Of science... Should not... Quest-ion even the most.... Per-turbed... tasks if they can... Lead... To... Pros-per... ity" he finished speaking, ready to hear what must be done, even if it meant taking action in the form of combat.
