Kisama
General Information

Type: Clan
Location: Heart Empire
Size: Large (Over 500)
Traits:
 • Kisama clan members hair is most often shades of red, though more rarely bright blondes aren't unheard of.
 • Members of this clan are often varying shades of brown, from light caramel to darker browns, though every now and again incredibly dark almost black skin colors will make themselves prevalent.
 • While a scrawny Kisama is not impossible, clansfolk are often quite fit and toned, and maintain at least average strength for their rank.
 • Kisama clansfolk are all quite tall, with fully grown men and women often pushing past seven foot tall.
Traditions:
 • Kisama clan members do not marry, though in general they tend to find loyal life partners. Monogamy is most common, but the clan does not frown upon polygamy, and many members have claim to many partners of either gender.
 • The Kisama do not hold a traditional leadership structure. While Kisama, Oban is the closest to what one might consider a clan head due to her natural leadership and talent, the clansfolk most often defer to the eldest amongst them, though when important clan wide decisions are made, the Kisama gather in what they refer to as a "Great Spat" to debate before casting semi-anonymous votes.
 • Members of the clan are often very strong-willed and often hard-headed because of it. Arguments are often held both verbally through debate and physically through wrestling, though clansfolk do not often physically harm each-other in these altercations, nor does the one who wins the physical side necessarily win the debate.
 • While the Oudouchi bloodline requires alcohol to function, most clan members do not imbibe more than the requisite amount to make the bloodline function daily. Alcoholism is not uncommon, and an excess of alcohol can make a clan member's techniques more powerful, the side-effects are often frowned upon by the rest of polite society.
Influence: The Kisama clan control most of the industry in the Heart Empire, but the clan does not often operate as a single unit. Rather, several of them often form larger shops, often even hiring non-clan members to assist in production while they produce prototypes and oversee work. This makes most members of the clan quite successful businesspeople, and as such hold fair sway.
History An ancient clan from a time that remembers the great ninja villages not existing, their ancestors have long since been ostracized by others for their 'freakish' bloodline and uncommon appearances. As war began to rage the continent, the first Great Spat was called, and small factions formed on support for several sides in the war. None could seem to agree on who to support, and so as the votes were cast, the result was... Equal. Every option had an equal number of votes, making the Great Spat last for several more days. In the end, only one agreement could be reached: All votes were valid, and so if no clear winner could be had, the logical conclusion of compromise meant they would support... Nobody.

Displaced by the wars, the Kisama clan moved from their sedentary lifestyles hidden in cliffs on the coast to nomadic travelers, reading the winds of political change and moving with the flow so as to stay out of conflicts. Now nomadic travelers, the clan suffered all the more from their ostracization, moreso as the wars came to a close, and other 'freakish' clans came to light who joined the factions which eventually became the great ninja villages. They could not stay in one place for too long, but using their bloodline to make simple replacement parts for hand-drawn plows and carts for money to trade for supplies kept them afloat for generations, as well as hunting their own food where possible.

The Kisama clan hid themselves away in their travels, avoiding the influence of all the great wars, up until the latest "Fourth Great War" starting with Soul Country. Having negotiated with the owl king to allow them to reside on its borders, they were quickly displaced by the selfishness of the villages invading, another Great Spat was called. It lasted for over a month, they had just found somewhere to settle down, maybe it was going to be better to stand and fight, but they could not reach a point where any were happy to call things to a vote. Then an idiot wandered into their spat.

Iyashii Fuhen, also displaced by the war, along with a rather large band of locals from River Country and several other countries stumbled across the congregation of Kisama clansfolk. There were no rules against an outsider in the spat, and while Fuhen did not intentionally crash their party, the casual nature of their political debates led him to get involved all the same. Through both his natural charisma and joining in their wrestling, he got the biggest proponent of joining one of the villages, Kisama, Oban over to the other side, collapsing the walls that were holding them in place.

The Kisama picked up their emplacements and the Great Spat ended once more, joining in the caravan of Fuhen, the clansfolk helped the refugees to survive the conditions of the war. After the final days of the war, including the founding of the Heart Empire, the clansfolk held one more Great Spat. Were they to stay with the Empire, or go back to their nomadic ways? The vote was almost entirely unanimous. They had a home here, among people that respected them, and understood that 'freaks' held their equality in the Empire. It is only thanks to the Kisama clan deciding to stay with the Empire that the Empire can be as inclusive and prosperous as it is, their steam-powered inventions making medical technology and quality of life improvements previously only possible for the Great Five villages powering the strength of the Heart Empire.

Samurai Information Kekkei Genkai:
Oudouchi:
A previously nomadic tribe that have begun to settle in the confines of New Tea country, the Kisama clan are known for being drunks, fighters, monsters, and geniuses, all due in part to their Oudouchi bloodline. Their unique chakra and unique blood mixes with any amount of alcohol in their systems, causing their body to shift and transform to their will, taking on new shapes and appearances. Through the use of associated taijutsu the clan member may shift different parts of their body at a speed equal to their own into various different weapons and tools. All transformations must be non-biological in nature, but a seemingly endless number of effects may be achieved within the creativity and knowledge of the clan member.

These transformations need not be limited to staying on their body, with advanced techniques allowing them to put out tools and parts from their body with a weight in kilograms equal to their strength. All such creations have a strength equal to the strength of the clan member. Oudouchi techniques are taijutsu by default, but any jutsu that would make objects move of their own volition without outside force would constitute ninjutsu. Making these creations is draining on the body as one might expect, acting as ninjutsu if creations are made externally, while internal creations act as if they were taijutsu. While the clan member needs alcohol in their system to perform these techniques, all that is required is a small sip at any point during the day to power them for the rest of the day, many turn to alcoholism of their own volition, however.
Clan Jutsu
Oudouchi Taijutsu:
D-Rank:
~Oudouchi 🔩 Thieves' Tools
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood to their fingers, the Kisama clan member will turn their fingers on both hands into a set of lockpicks and associated tools necessary to make such things work. Using these, most simple locks will be opened with nearly a snap of the fingers, but more advanced locks will take time and knowledge to properly decipher and open, unless the user has seen the key used to open the lock.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Akibushi's Tools
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood to their hands, the Kisama clan member will turn one or both of their hands into a simple weapon of their choice, ranging from small daggers to full-sized war hammers, but no greater than [strength]/3 meters in size.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Brass Shield
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood over the entirety of their body, a piece of natural armor will sprout from their body in a place of their choice. While possible to create full body armor with this technique, each section (head, arms, legs, chest, feet) must be created one at a time.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Hidden Spikes
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood over any part of their body, usually the hands or shoulders, this assassin's technique causes a single spike about 1 meter long in a conical shape to sprout upon contact with a surface, forcing through targets at a strength equal to the user's own.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Eye Protection
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood over their face, the clansfolk will cause a frame of their brass blood to surround their eyes with a tightly woven texture. These pieces of eye protection block out even the smallest particulates, and even limit the amount of light that filters into the member's eyes, helping to prevent blindness from things like flashbangs, or blinding snow, but do make it harder to see and work with.
C-Rank:
~Oudouchi 🔩 Brass Carapace
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [small]~Oudouchi 🔩 Brass Shield[/small]
By focusing their blood over the entirety of their body, natural armor will sprout from all 5 key locations (head, arms, legs, chest, feet) at once, saving time and energy over doing them one at a time.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Ranged Implements
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood into their hands, the clan member will make up to five kunai, ten shuriken, fifteen senbon, or other similar implements following similar size restrictions. Like other low-rank tools, these will stay attached to the clan member, but with a flick of the wrist or other such movements, the implements will fly off as if thrown by the clan member.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Fuyubushi's Tools
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood to their hands, the Kisama clan member will turn one or both of their hands into a simple weapon of their choice, ranging from small daggers to full-sized war hammers, but no greater than [strength]/2 meters in size.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Tool Transfer
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Knowing the internal workings of their tools, the clan member can quickly and easily move a tool they've already made to a different spot on their body at a speed equal to their own.
B-Rank:
~Oudouchi 🔩 Hands-Free Launcher
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [small]~Oudouchi 🔩 Ranged Implements[/small]
By focusing their blood into their chest, a projectile launcher of choice will form in the chest of the clan member, loaded with ten pieces of ammunition. Being naturally formed in their body, the strength this launcher fires is no greater than the strength of the clan member. With half the normal effort, the clansmen may refocus on this technique to restock the ammunition.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Precision Parts
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Able to now pull their blood from their body, the clansmen can use this to perform battlefield modifications on weapons using the [weapon crafting] or [weapon enchanting] concentrations on the fly, effectively acting as a living forge. This also allows the clansmen to spit out other precision parts that don't necessarily have a combat purpose, such as finely crafted gears or sprockets.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Natsubushi's Tools
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By focusing their blood to their hands, the Kisama clan member will turn one or both of their hands into a simple weapon of their choice, ranging from small daggers to full-sized war hammers, but no greater than [strength] meters in size.
A-Rank:
~Oudouchi 🔩 Siege Weapons
A-Rank Nintaijutsu Maneuver
Pulling their brass blood from their body in multiple different draws, the clansmen will quickly assemble a siege weapon with several different parts and components, and ten pieces of ammunition for it. These siege weapons are large brass constructs on wheels that fire large explosive spheres, each with an explosive speed equal to the clansman's control, moving and impacting with a strength equal to their own. The quick assembly of these cannons causes them to deteriorate much more quickly than properly built ones, and they will fall apart 6 posts after construction. As with all projectile launchers, these can only be effectively fired with the strength to do so.

~Oudouchi 🔩 Extreme Blade Works
A-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Crossing their arms in front of them, the Kisama clansman will move the brass in their blood in equal parts all over their bodies. In a burst, dozens of hinged weapons (of concentrations with which the clansman is familiar) will sprout from the clansman in multiple locations, giving them a bevvy of weapons to attack with from a seemingly unlimited number of angles in melee range. Once this stance ends, the weapons will all break down and return to the clansman's body.
S-Rank:
~Oudouchi 🔩 Mass Production
S-Rank Taijutsu Stance
By sitting still and concentrating hard on their craft as a living forge, the clansmen can output equipment at twice the normal rate, effectively acting as a one-person production line. This is often used ritualistically in groups with each member focusing on a single piece of a larger project, but can be done solo to output large amounts of product that the member already knows how to make.
