The Grand Hunt!

The sun still hadn't cracked yet. Jiro had a large traveling backpack filled with survival essentials and then some. He even went out of his way to bring a second one for his newfound friend. With the week that had gone by, Jiro utilized that time to send in a few reports and inform the Heart Empire of what they were doing. On the off chance that they went missing, Jiro didn't want them to be gone forever. The red eyed warrior put in a request for a week. Meaning if they had not returned in a week, then a search party would come in and search for them.

Jiro arrived at the closed up bar at the crack of dawn like he requested of Yutaka. With the large man standing there, he had a backpack on his back, an extra backpack on the ground, and he was holding a large pot of tea. It would be any minute now that his friend would arrive so the welcome party had to be good to go!

Ginjiro utilized this time to also map out their route. The route wasn't that bad. It would take less than a day to get to the Laughing desert. Jiro knew that he would have to tone down some of his cardio and strength so that they could keep at the same pace. He didn't want to leave his friend in the dust! Although, this hunting excursion would be a great way for Jiro to show off what Yutaka could do in the future.

Deep in thought, the man witnessed his poop brown eyed friend in the distance. With his free hand he waved violently so that he could see him. "Yutaka!!! ERE ERE! ITS ME!" He shouted as if Yutaka couldn't tell the large bulky black man with red eyes was the same man he got hammered with the week before. When Yutaka got close, Jiro would hand him the traveling backpack that was filled. Even if he brought his own, Jiro would insist that he use the one that he got him. After exchanging pleasantries Jiro would pull out two large brass containers and fill them with all of the tea in the kettle. After doing that, he would place the kettle attached to the side of his traveling bag.

Jiro would hand him a large brass cup of team and smile simply and say "R ya ready to head out?" If Yutaka had any questions or anything he wanted to discuss, Jiro would answer it as he started to lead the way. They had a half a day journey to the Laughing desert so any questions would easily be answered during that time.

During their travels Jiro would answer his questions and crack jokes along the way. For this trip in particular, Ginjiro did not bring a lot of alcohol. In fact, he brought 2 vials of Sake. As per of the Kisama clan, it was important to not be reliant on alcohol. A true member of the clan can take advantage of their kekkei gekei with a single drop! This is something he wanted to show his comrade. Although Jiro did like to lounge around and enjoy life, he also had a self of pride that forced him to train. Because of how easily their clan can be taken advantage of, Jiro wanted to make sure no one would be abused from the clan. In order to keep that sentiment, the man had to become a living breathing nightmare. One no one would mess with. So even though he was going to be training his friend, he was also going to be training himself.

The Grand Hunt!

Yutaka loved to travel and see new places, but he knew that traveling through a desert would be akin to hell itself. If he didn't watch his alcohol consumption, he could die! Well, that was always a risk, but the heat would only exacerbate the dehydration that came with drinking too much booze. So if he wanted to get drunk, he needed to make sure to have plenty of water as well. Having filled up two massive waterskins of both, he had quite the heavy travel bag. Yutaka didn’t even need to look for Jiro, as once he was within eyesight, his new friend called out to him.

“There he is! How ya been, ya crazy bastard?”

After a couple of words were exchanged between the two, a bag was shoved into Yutaka’s hands. He tried to protest, but his friend insisted that he take what they had prepared for him. Refusing to leave his booze behind, Yutaka opted to carry both bags with him on the trip.

“Ya can never be too prepared, yeah?”

Taking a drink of the tea, he wondered about this giant armadillo. Jiro was definitely strong enough to handle something like that, but Yutaka was not so sure of himself. Sure, he was strong by civilian standards, but if this thing was actually as big as his friend said, then he’d be a stain in the sand by the end of the hunt. It was a good thing that they planned on doing a bit of training along the way.

“We’re off on an adventure!”

After some joking and a few questions along the way, Yutaka realized that it was going to be a fun trip. From the sounds of it, the whole ordeal would take roughly a week, which was a good time frame. He could postpone most of his vices for that long, all except one, that is. Opening up his bag, Yutaka pulled out the waterskin filled with a nice whisky that he had made enough money off of scams to buy in bulk. After taking out a large swig, he let out a content sigh. Carrying two bags was already killing his back, and a nice drink was exactly what he needed. With a smile on his face, Yutaka directed the waterskin towards Jiro.

“Ya wanna drink? It ain’t as good as your sake, but it has got to be better than doing all this walking sober.”
