The Redeemed Yamanaka,Inodai
The Man
Age: 27

Hair: Inodai has recently cut his bright blonde hair very short. The sides, and back, are shaved, while the top is about four inches long. The top is usually unkempt, or spiked in various directions.
Eyes: Inodai's eyes are a startling light green.
Physical Features:

Through the course of his hard childhood, his physical training, and his training as a Genin, Inodai's skin has accumulated quite a few scars. These scars range from simple horizontal scars resulting from climbing through thorn bushes, to indentions in his skin from being bitten by the various stray dogs in the outermost parts of Konohagakure. However, his scars that resulted from his Strong Fist training are what cover his body the most. Inodai's former mentor had believed in training through experience fighting, which is how Inodai got the massive X scar that covers the entire front side of his torso, from each shoulder to each hip. This was also how he got the scar across his left cheek.

Inodai's most recent scar is the one left on his back from being whipped with a bullwhip when he saved a dog from an abusive owner. He has high cheekbones, and dimples when he truly smiles, not to mention the crow's feet that appear by his eyes with the dimples. His long fingers, and square shaped palms allow for a better grip on his swords. It should be noted that Inodai's pinky finger on each hand do not have fingernails. His feet are rather skinny, and are average size for the size of his body, though they only have an arch on the innermost portion of his feet, leaving the outside of them flat.

Having been tortured extensively, Inodai's body is covered in burns, and scars from being cut and burned countless times.

Clothing/Accessories:

Inodai wears the standard Konohagakure Chuunin uniform which consists of black slacks, a black long sleeve shirt, a dark green flak jacket with a high collar, and black, open toed, ninja sandals. His forehead protector is worn either on his forehead, or his left bicep. His Tomahawk ax is kept in a metal ring on his right hip, while his dual Wakizashi are kept on his left hip.
The Mind
Inodai is no longer the emotionless tool that he had once been. Having spent years living as a rogue, and attempting to hunt down the man that had tortured him, Inodai has grown into a mean, and merciless killer. This is not to say that he enjoys killing, it is quite the opposite actually. Inodai detests killing, and any sort of violence, though he knows that he is good at it. If Inodai is able to accomplish his goal, be it a mission, or simply a day to day activity, without using violence, he will, though he fights when there is no other option.

He finds value in friendships that he believes will directly benefit him, though sometimes, he will form bonds with people without meaning to, as is human nature. The bonds that he does form, are invaluable to him, and Inodai will do everything in his power to make sure that they remain unbroken. Inodai still believes that the villages are corrupt, though, with his recent return, he has decided to fight the corruption from within. Inodai believes that most of those that serve his home are not corrupt, but simply serve a corrupt master.

In battle Inodai prefers to attack his opponent's minds rather than their body, which is why he has chosen to specialize in his clan’s Ninjutsu. Once his target(s) are incapable of fighting, Inodai will end their life, if that is what is required of him. Despite being a rogue shinobi, Inodai attempts to defeat his enemies without killing them, as he believes each life is precious. If he is unable to incapacitate his opponents with his Yamanaka Ninjutsu, Inodai will then use his mixture of Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu to fight them.
The Legend
Inodai's story is not what one would expect of a devout Chuunin of Konohagakure. Firstly he was born Inodai of the Yamanaka clan, and would only become known as Inodai later in life. Inodai was one of Konohagakure's most loyal shinobi before he was captured, and brainwashed. Growing up Inodai dreamed of nothing more than serving his village, and even hoped to rise to the rank of Hokage. His ninja career began with an honorary party thrown by his clan for him, and a few cousins. He was gifted many scrolls, most of which being about fanciful stories that were designed to help increase his overall reading ability. Other scrolls, the ones he paid the most attention to in his studies, were about the different uses his uncle had found for the clan’s Ninjutsu in close quarters, and how to apply them into a Taijutsu fighting style. His parents loved, and supported him through all of his ventures, giving him the bare minimum amount of discipline, and always cheered him on when he would show them what he learned in the academy. Things began to change once he became a Genin though. Now that they believed him to be old enough to take care of himself, Inodai's parents began taking missions that kept them from home for longer periods of time, which did not bother him at first, because he had begun training with new mentors.

Inodai's main mentor, a Nara by the name of Akarui, had begun to teach him all sorts of things, mainly the Wildfyre, and Ochiba styles. It was under Akarui's tutelage that Inodai really began to flourish in his use of Taijutsu, and to become the perfect soldier for his village. Many people say that each village brainwashes their ninja during their years at the academy, but for Inodai, it did not happen until he started training under Akarui. Akarui taught him to follow orders, no matter what they were, and instilled within him the belief that he should give his life for Konohagakure should they ask for it. If his superiors said jump; Inodai said "how high?" However, it was not until he became a Chuunin that he really began to truly serve his village.

Inodai lived to serve Konohagakure, and was always on a mission. It got to the point where Inodai never took a single day off for two years. The village had taken notice of his devotion, and hard work. Because of this, the village began to give him more, and more dangerous missions, culminating in the mission that got him kidnapped. Konohagakure had received word of a dangerous missing ninja hiding in Wind Country, and sent a group of three Chuunin to neutralize him. The group had been confident in their abilities, mainly because of the group's setup. Inodai had been not only a heavy Taijutsu, but was also proficient with various forms of Ninjutsu, his partner Shizuka had been a heavy Genjutsu user, and the final member of the team, Hikaru, had been an Iijutsu specialist. They had been very, very wrong to think that they could take him.

Their target had seen them coming from miles away, and had ambushed them. Shizuka had fallen first, with Hikaru being right behind her. Inodai had been lucky enough to fight off their target long enough to impress him, which was what led to Inodai being kidnapped. His target's name had been Nakamaru, and he tortured Inodai until everything he thought about the village had changed. Inodai never knew how long he had been held captive, but it had seemed like years. Every one of his bones had been broken, his flesh had been burned, and cut until all that could be seen was scars. Nakamaru made sure that Inoai would always remember him, and then released him for what seemed like no reason.

Inodai emerged from his experience “a new man,” and as such he shed the name he was born with, and took up the mantle of Inodai, though he did not forsake his clan name. Inodai had never seen Nakamaru again after the day he was released, but he remembered everything the man had taught him. The villages were corrupt, and the only way to live was to sell his abilities to whoever could afford them, and that was exactly what he did. He believed that Nakamaru had been right, that Konohagakure had brainwashed him into being a perfect soldier for their Hokage.

Traveling the world selling his abilities had proven to be useful for only a short amount of time. With his new view of the world, provided by Nakamaru, Inodai felt like he did not need to train any longer, and because of this his skills began to diminish. However, it was not long after Nakamaru had released him that he had found a young Aisu girl outside of her village. Inodai had attacked her camp, and killed everyone except her, and instead Inodai took her captive. Inodai had decided that he would free the girl as Nakamaru had freed him, and so, he tortured her into madness. When Inodai had released the girl, whose name had been Hinakura, she had "fallen in love" with Inodai, and had begged him to keep her with him. So, with Hinakura in tow, Inodai once again traveled the world.

It was about a year after Hinakura had been with Inodai that he had been approached by the woman known as Zai. She had been interested in his clan abilities, and had asked him to join a group known only as Zenchou. On the terms that she would help increase his overall power, Inodai, and Hina, had joined Zenchou, though it had been short lived. Inodai had received word, while on a mission for Zai, that she had disappeared of the face of the world, and that the group had disbanded. This had upset Inodai in a way he had not expected, because he had actually begun to trust the people he had been working with, though he had not actually cared about them in any special way. Since Zenchou had been disbanded, Inodai and Hina had continued the work that the group had been doing on their own in hopes of building their own strength. Over the course of the year that they had been traveling together, completing missions, and fighting for their lives, Inodai had fallen madly in love with Hinakura, the same way she had felt about him.

Inodai and Hinakura spent every minute together, believing that they would spend the rest of their lives together, when a member of her clan had found them. The man, who went by the name of Kuro, had not only tracked them down, but had successfully killed Hina, and had very nearly killed Inodai. Since her death Inodai had been hiding from the world, and, whether it was something he was doing consciously, or not, began to make his way back towards the village hidden within the leaf. After a run in with his cousin Inomei, and her friend Yosuke, Inodai had decided to return to the village with them. He was immediately detained by a member of the Awai clan known as Fanho, who bound, and interrogated, him. Afterwards, Inodai was brought before the Hokage who allowed Inodai to return to full active duty, after many extensive meetings with not only the strongest members in his clan, but the village’s best interrogators. Now Inodai is attempting to re-enter into normal village life.

Dual Wakizashi, each having a three foot long blade, with a six inch hilt, are kept on Inodai’s left hip.

Bone Breaker
Bone Breaker is a Tomahawk that Inodai looted from the corpse of a Hunter shinobi that he slew. The haft of Bone Breaker is three feet long, and has a three inch circumference. The axe head of Bone Breaker is two inches thick at its thickest, and has an eight inch long cutting edge. On the opposite side of Bone Breaker's cutting edge is a six inch spike. Should Inodai channel chakra into Bone Breaker before throwing it, he will be able to have it fly back to him afterwards. If this ability is not activated within two posts it will not work. The tomahawk returns to Inodai at a speed of eight, and has a maximum travel distance of twenty meters, meaning it will not return if thrown past twenty meters.

Trench Knives: A modified version of brass knuckles, Inodai's trench knives are black in color, except for the edge of the blades. The blade, on each knife, is eight inches long, and curve slightly at the tip of the blade.

Wildfyre:
Derived from watching flames dance, Wildfyre involves constant swaying back and forth, while switching the sword from hand to hand, and from standard position to a dagger like gripped position. Practitioners of this style never stay still for longer than a few seconds and are constantly surging back and forth in an attempt to find a blind spot in their enemies defense. Wildfyre practitioners typically use a Wakizashi and a Tanto, though other blade combinations are possible.

The most basic stance of Wildfyre, the user of Flickering Embers sways side to side, and back and forth, mimicking the way a flame moves. Should the user’s Taijutsu stat be five points higher than the opponent's instinct stat,the opponent will be unable to predict the user’s next move.

The user will bring their blade upward from their dominant hip, with their dominant hand, in a wide, diagonally arcing, slash, before immediately flipping the blade and slashing back down the same path.

Through hours of rigorous training, the user has learned to not only wield a blade in either hand, but has also learned to dual wield two blades at once.

A staple of the Wildfyre Kenjutsu style, Shifting Blades allows the user to switch between grips on either blade simultaneously without any delay.

As a flame curls around any obstacle, so to does the user’s blades. Curling Flame is the trained reaction of redirecting one’s own attack mid swing without losing momentum. Should the user’s Taijutsu stat be five points, or more, greater than the target’s instinct, the target will be unable to follow the movement.

The user will bring their blades upward from their hips in a wide, arcing slash, before slashing downwards in an X formation. The user will then shift their grip to a downwards dagger grip, and will attempt to slice through the abdomen of their target in a scissoring attack.

Ochiba:
Ochiba is a weapon style originating from the fire country, one of the few weapon styles developed by Shinobi and not Samurai. Ochiba translate as “Dead Leaf” As it is a weapon style that focuses on the use of a Kunai which are similar in appearance to a leaf. The kunai is held in a reversed manner, the handle comes up by the thumb and the blade comes down by the bottom of the hand. This allows for short, yet quick strikes and parries. Though this style is developed to use a kunai it can be transposed to other short weapons such as ninjato & tanto, though not all techniques will be available.

Utilizing this Maneuver, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that specializes in fighting Samurai and equalizing the battle field. The user will wait for their target to attack, and will quickly counter this by gliding the blade of their kunai onto the opponent's blade. The user will quickly move in towards their opponent while also sliding their kunai closer and closer to the opponent's hilt. This will force the angle of their blade to be raised and leaves the opponent wide open for attack.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that relies highly on speed, much like a floating leaf being swept away by the wind, the user will attempt to slap away any incoming melee strikes or projectiles with their kunai. The user’s the average of the user's speed and strength needs to be higher than the strength the projectile was thrown at, using the momentum of their own speed to deflect the strike.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Taijutsu
Using extremely quick thinking, if the user attempts to land a hit but their kunai is just short of hitting their target, they can very quickly spin the kunai on their finger, effectively extending its reach by a few inches.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will start by performing an extremely quick and powerful slash aimed at the target, and then continuing with that movement, they will spin themselves around and follow up with a powerful roundhouse kick.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The user will place their middle finger through the pommel of the kunai, gripping it so the blade hangs out of the side of the palm, using the weapon as a knuckleduster. The user will keep their hands up to protect the face in this stance as they prepare for maneuvers mostly hand to hand based, but blades at the ready should they need them. Any physical punches used with this technique will add blunt damage.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Speed
Utilizing their kunai as a throwing weapon, the user sprints at their opponent and when they are less than a meter away, whilst sprinting, they will toss their kunai directly at their target’s face. If the attack is done correctly, it will simultaneously blind the target by blocking the majority of their vision and distract them. Also, it creates the appearance that the user is actually thrusting with the kunai instead of releasing it, allowing them the opportunity to strike.

*Ochiba • Spare Ribs
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple, yet effective strike. Often used in correlation with Ochiba • Oaken Defense, however not required. The user simply needs to be up close, they will swing their kunai in a horizontal motion towards their opponent's rib cage, aiming for the cavities between the ribs and damaging any organ behind it. The user will then turn the kunai, breaking the rib if their strength is 5 higher than the opponents and even has a chance of separating it entirely from the rib cage.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user awaits for an attack by the enemy, baiting them into aiming for their head. When the opponent strikes they will take a step back in order to dodge, crouch down, and run at the target. If they successfully get to their target, the user will then attempt to land a few quick slashes with their kunai, do a backbend, and flip their legs back to get away from the opponent. While doing this, they will also try to slam their feet into the opponent’s jaw.

As the Yamanaka's consciousness leaves their body, they'll force chakra throughout their body in order to make it rigid, preventing it from falling over while their mind is absent. This drains a negligible amount of chakra every post due to being such a low ranked technique.

E-Ranked Ninjutsu
A staple technique to the Yamanaka Clan, by channeling a small amount of chakra the Yamanaka can expel their consciousness from anything or anyone that it currently inhabits, returning all pieces of their consciousness to their body over the course of a full post.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming the required seals the user will attempt to make contact, of any form, with the desired target. An altered version of ~Over Sensitivity, Overly Stimulated allows for the same effect as it's predecessor, however, the thought is inserted via direct contact with the target. After forming the required seals the user will attempt to make contact with the target, and, should it be made, the target will find themselves under the effects of ~Over Sensitivity.

After preforming the hand seals, the Yamanaka will place their hand upon the head of a willing target, and summon up one of their own memories to be transferred into the target's brain. They can only exchange one memory, and it is a one-way transfer as the user can only transfer one memory and cannot receive any other memory. The target will only receive the visual experience of the memory, and will not feel the physical or mental effects of the memory. After the memory has been transferred the technique ends.

After preforming the hand seals, the Yamanaka will shoot off a piece of their conscious that travels at a speed of 5 at their target. If successful the conscious will begin to overwork the target's senses, and overload it by working their senses double time making them hyper sensitive and susceptible to powerful lights, smells, temperatures, and etc. This technique endures for 3 posts while impending a -3 instinct penalty to the user as they focus overloading the target's conscious.

It should be noted that any damage the possessed opponent suffers will be reflected on the Yamanaka's original body. The words created by this technique are bright yellow in color and can be seen regardless of anything that might obstruct Yudai's vision. After forming the required hand seals, and maintaining physical contact, Yudai is able to allow one person to share his mind reading ability, so long as the physical contact is maintained. While sharing his ability Yudai is unable to perform any other action, and suffers a -10 on his Instinct stat per Yamanaka clan rules. This jutsu lasts for six posts.

AOM - Telepathy

After forming the required hand seals Yudai will send out a light blue ball of chakra to every mind that he is within his aura. These balls of chakra home in one their target so long as they remain within his range, though will move in a straight line should the mind leave Yudai's range. Once the ball of chakra makes contact Yudai will be able to communicate mentally with the target. Telepathy lasts for eight posts, or until ended, and imposes a -10 on Yudai's Instinct stat, while he is broadcasting his thoughts, per Yamanaka clan rules.

An Open Mind

AOM is a very strenuous technique for Yudai to use, though it comes with great benefits. AOM causes invisible aura of consciousness that extends out from Yudai’s mind, allowing him to passively read (Control+Instinct)/2 minds. Once a mind enters his aura, which extends outwards to a radius equally his Control stat, Yudai is able to “hear” every active thought that passes through it. This aura does not penetrate through walls, nor solid objects. As this technique is always active it imposes a -4 on his stamina stat permanently. Those with a higher (control+instinct)/2 than Yudai can block him from connecting with their mind by creating a mental "wall" around their mind.

Once the physical contact is made, this technique takes effect, causing complete bodily paralysis for a single post. This will cause a painful disconnection for the Yamanaka as they are yanked out of the target's consciousness.

Those that remain within this cloud of smoke will lose a total of three stamina over three posts.

The Fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user is able to glide on air as if they were skating on ice. This allows them to move faster (+3 speed) but lowers their accuracy and agility (-3 Taijutsu). This doesn't allow them to fly, but rather to travel over things like land, water, and ice with greater ease. The user is only held several inches off of the ground. This Jutsu does not expire until the user’s chakra supply runs out or the user shuts it off. The fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

This blast goes out for a maximum of thirty feet if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

The vortex's direction can be controlled with a Control stat of at least 15. The control, however, is limited; it can only be moved in a 45 degree angle, up to three times. A hit from this vortex packs a large push back force, though the person can avoid being pushed back with a strength of 5 or greater. Control of this Jutsu fades after two posts and spans an area 3m wide and up to 20m in length. Direct hits result in long but shallow cuts on the victim's body, covering the whole radius of the techniques point of contact, no deeper than half an inch.
