In inorganic material, this means that the strength of the jutsu diffuses across an area 2x the size of the attack. In a jutsu that creates a lightning ball 2m in diameter, if it struck a wall the size of the attack would cover a 4m area.

Additionally, the strength of the nervous effect on organic material from raiton jutsu is determined by the Strength stat range they fall into.

OchibaShow
Ochiba:
Ochiba is a weapon style originating from the fire country, one of the few weapon styles developed by Shinobi and not Samurai. Ochiba translate as “Dead Leaf” As it is a weapon style that focuses on the use of a Kunai which are similar in appearance to a leaf. The kunai is held in a reversed manner, the handle comes up by the thumb and the blade comes down by the bottom of the hand. This allows for short, yet quick strikes and parries. Though this style is developed to use a kunai it can be transposed to other short weapons such as ninjato & tanto, though not all techniques will be available.
  • Requires: Deft Hands & Sword/Projectile Weapons

D-Rank:
*Ochiba • Single Finger Draw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Utilizing this manoeuvre, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

*Ochiba • Ambidexterity
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

*Ochiba • Dance Detour
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that relies highly on speed, the user will attempt to slap away any incoming melee strikes or projectiles with their kunai. The average of the user's speed and strength needs to be higher than the strength the projectile was thrown at, using the momentum of their own speed to deflect the strike.

Ochiba • Round and Round
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will start by performing an extremely quick and powerful slash aimed at the target, and then continuing with that movement, they will spin themselves around and follow up with a powerful roundhouse kick.
C-Rank:
*Ochiba • Sliding Tree Sap
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Speed
A defensive technique, developed to fight Samurai, by throwing up their kunai into in incoming attack to dampen the physical strength and disrupting their opponents strikes. Even if the attack is powerful enough to break the users guard, it will dampen the strength of the opponents strike, just enough to give the user time to slide left, right or backwards whilst defending, meaning the user is usually out of the way before it hits its mark.

*Ochiba • Spine of the Maple Tree
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Often used as a counterattack, by stepping under an incoming strike and resting on their front leg, they will quickly pivot slashing behind them, upwards across their opponent’s spine. This will likely cut the nerves connected to the users legs, making it difficult for them to move, giving a reduction of -5 speed, they will need to seek medical attention.

*Ochiba • Spare Ribs
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple, yet effective strike. Often used in correlation with Ochiba • Oaken Defense, however not required. The user simply needs to be up close, they will swing their kunai in a horizontal motion towards their opponent's rib cage, aiming for the intercostal space between the ribs and damaging any organ behind it. The user will then turn the kunai, breaking their opponents ribs.

Ochiba • Guerilla Warfare
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
The user has become a master at movement and energy expenditure being able to make the best of quick movements while also being able to maintain awareness and escape from a sticky situation. They utilize the utmost of their speed to make every movement count, and can create quick formulated movements that are efficient.
B-Rank:
*Ochiba • Teething Twigs
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
As the Ochiba style favours an inverted stance the blade points towards the floor. If a strike misses, the user will perform a secondary strike either swinging back aiming for the temple or swing upwards with the pommel and shattering the opponents jaw. This will often catch an opponent off guard, if the opponent lacks a perception technique of an equal level, they often won’t see this second strike.

*Ochiba • Felling Axe
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique used if the user is disarmed, though often used in conjunction with projectile techniques, such as the [Flawless Aim Style] when a kunai is deflected or airborne, the user will perform a ‘Webster Axe Kick’ essentially a forward flip, and they will kick the pommel of the kunai, projecting it in the direction of an opponent. Due to the momentum and the heightened trajectory this will move with +6 speed.

*Ochiba • Dead Leaf
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 25 Speed
A technique developed by Shinobi to neutralize Samurai. Taking advantage of the exposable nature of a weapon such as a kunai, when an opponent strikes using a bladed weapon the user will move backwards and run their own blade along the length of their opponents blade, likely blunting both of their weapons. This is done at such at such high speed and in a fluid motion, the opponent will of often not realise it has happened.
A-Rank:
*Ochiba • As the Autumn Leaf Falls
A-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A strike made from a heightened position, usually from a tree though anything with elevated height will be sufficient. The user will drop down on an unsuspecting opponent, grasping them, plummeting them onto the floor and placing the kunai either in the back of their neck or up through the jugular, in one fluid motion, almost always killing them instantly. Unless the target has a perception technique of an equal level, this will be very difficult to detect.

*Ochiba • Branch ‘Snapper’
A-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 35 Speed
When an opponent strikes, with a bladed weapon such as a katana or a similar type of bladed weapon. The user will use high precision and speed, to follow the opponents strike moving their own body safely out of the way and will slip the pommel over and down the length of the opponents blade, using their own momentum against them and pull backwards, often snapping the blade in two.
S-Rank:
Ochiba • Blur of The Autumn Storm
S-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: 40 Speed
The user will get into a low stance, with one foot set far behind the other, and all weight put on the back foot in order for explosive speed. The user’s hands will be right next to the user’s face, one clutching a kunai the other open palmed for versatility. In this stance, the user’s focus is speed and unpredictability. Every move they make will become a blur, making their exact movements impossible to make out, but the user will be visible during the very start and end of each movement. Those unfortunate enough to have a speed below the speed of the user will be affected by this.
ToryuShow
Toryu:
Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

Requires: [Close Quarters Combat], [Sword Weapons] Concentrations.[/center]

D-Rank:
[Toryu • Close Quarters]
D- Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: 5 Strength
The signature stance of the style, Close Quarters teaches users of this style how to rapidly change the angle, position and even grip of their weapon without moving their hand from it's signature position at the user's waist for maximum versatility. Users of this style often assume a one foot forward, one back, slightly swayed stance to free up movement as well at the expense of leaving their center open.

[Toryu • Lunging Feint]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Speed
A basic technique of the style wherein the user moves in for a basic lunge-thrust with their weapon, only to turn in mid thrust and attempt to sweep their leg under the opponent's own. This tends to be useful as a basic feint and can usually knock down those with less strength than the user who get caught by it.

[Toryu • Guard Break]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Strength
After rushing in on a foe and initiating an attack the user waits for the opponent to guard, either with arm or weapon, before quickly lashing out with their hand or pommel of their blade and attempting to smash the guarding hand or arm aside with a wrist smash. The pain as well as damage can interrupt the guard of opponents, leaving them wide open for the initial attack to hit.

[Toryu • Limb Lock]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: *[Toryu • Close Quarters]
A dangerous close quarters 'option closer', the Toryu user will sweep in close and try to slam their foot down on an opponent's as well as quickly sweep their arm around the opponent's to lock their elbow with the user's own. This technique is usually utilized for setting up blows or blocking off the weapons of dual-wielding foes and it forces the opponent to break out of the move before counter-attacking.

[Toryu • Counter Kick]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 5 Strength
The user of this technique will attempt to block the blow of his opponent with his blade, relying heavily on the durability of their weapon and their own strength to resist the strength of the opponent's attack. Should they be successful, the user will follow up with a swift kick to the target's chest or stomach to push them away and stun them, then follow up with a quick stab to the chest or stomach.
C-Rank:
[Toryu • Subversion Grappling]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Strength
One of the more utilized techniques in the arsenal of the style, it involves the shifting of offense and defense, specifically utilizing the sword as a defensive weapon and the hand as the main weapon; by blocking far off the center of the clash (to the side, above, below), the user opens up an opposing swordsman or weapon specialist to punches, quick closes and even more complicated maneuvers simply by forcing their sword back for a moment. The downside of course is it lessens the overall effectiveness of the sword.

*[Toryu • Disregard of Fear]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Will
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A user with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform their death defying attacks without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

History Thug lifephpBB [video]
Ran was born in a poor family that managed to raise him on outside of the safe walls of Iwagakure no sato, their family envisioned that one day their boy could manage to become a ninja and one day become a hero, but their money problem always came in the way. Until the day they one day stumbled upon a briefcase filled with money, thinking nothing of it they took it and set out to move to Iwagakure, not knowing that the money belonged to a gang living around their village. Once they settled in Iwagakure, they would open up a store selling rare snow flowers, which had the strength to grow were most would rot.

But one day the gang found out and killed Ran's parents as he was out playing, when he returned home he found himself being orphaned. Crushed and defeated, the boy would wander around the topside of Iwagakure until he stumbled upon a pawn shop, he was going to sell a small butterfly he had found in order to buy some food, but the owners of the said pawn shop took pity on the boy and adopted him. He wasn't exactly thrilled, yet he was happy to not be on the streets anymore, it was here that he first encountered a boy who would grow up to be his rival; Iji.

Together they would train and go through the academy, even though Iji hated his guts, Ran thought nothing of it and allowed him to harbor hatred towards him, that was until the day his new parents passed away and the two became orphans. Already knowing that pain, the young kid tried to console his brother but to no avail, which furthered their split. At first he was angry at Iji for not accepting him but eventually this grew into hatred. The ninja lacked any ninjutsu or genjutsu skills but excelled in hand to hand, which allowed him to rank up to genin.

Unfortunately the duo was sent to the same team and it was here that they began to work against one another whenever they weren't on a mission. They also started dabbling in criminal acts such as street fights in order for them to make ends meet. Ran was a natural in this part, which pissed off his brother. Ran continued to fight in the streets until he heard that Iji had managed to beat a chuunin and rank up, which prompted him to try the same and much to no ones surprise, the boy managed to rank up as well.

The duo started hating each other even more now, as their criminal activities had grown to the point of gathering a small following, their rivalry grew as their strength did. When he felt confident enough he would continue to work towards Special Jounin rank as he believed that his strength could take him to the very top, so Ran continued to perform hard tasks in order to become as strong as possible until one day he found himself in the position he wanted. He also started to cut a piece of the underground market around this point, which again, pissed off his brother; to no ones surprise. Their rivalry had escalated to the point were people began to whisper that their next clash would be their end, especially if no one found a way stop the two of them.
