[Sky Reach] Some blitz ball

Like any other school, there were classes on all kinds of things but being a school of 'ninjas' and 'chakra' physical education was of course an important part of that curriculum as the body needed to be strong enough to all the user to manage different physical tasks and it also played a key part in building up not only the stamina of the students but their chakra pool. A two for one some might say. But today's session was a bit different than any other that the fifth-year students had been to as the primary physical education teacher, Ryu, had them gather in the gymnasium this morning ready to train. Though the entry level students' class had only been in session for a little over a month the man had introduced them to the basics of taijutsu; stand up sparring, ground fighting techniques, basic weaponry, and projectile weapons over the first series of classes.

Some of the students in Ziv's group this morning were even dreading what the next lesson might be, aside from the taijutsu classes that were at least two days a week, the others were spent going over various training methods that dealt with weights, long runs, sprints, and other forms of physical training of the body. Yet, today the class would spot something under the left arm of the muscular teacher, a smirk on his face as he made a single motion with his free right hand to silence the class now as he prepared to speak. His free hand coming up to his mouth as a made a few coughs as if to clear his thought before the green-eyed man scanned the crowd, "Today we take a small break from the training regime that we've been on, as rest is just as important as the exercise itself in order to allow the body to recover and for muscle growth. So, today, we will be doing something a bit more fun. Does anyone know what this is?"

His deep voice almost seemed to echo in the enclosed gym now as his bright eyes scanned the crowd, his left hand moved and flicked the ball up just above head heigh before it came down with a bit of rotation as the older teacher caught it on a single extended index finger as it spun almost like a basketball might have. As he observed the class a few hands shot up from the students present for the class and he nodded to the closest one in the front, a short female with long blonde hair that was tied back to a single loose ponytail. "That's a blitz ball, right?" A large smile formed on the A-rank teachers' mouth, showing his white teeth as he nodded and flipped his hand over catching the formerly spinning ball. "Correct Miss Ayo!" The older man's voice was loud with an excited tone, for today would be the first introduction class to one of the school's main inter-house sports, blitz ball. "For those of you that haven't heard of this sport yet, listen up! As this is one of the main spots played here between the houses and each student class is expected to form a team, from you fifth years all the way up to the first years. Not only is it for bragging right for who takes home the respective cup for that class, but it also adds points to the winning house's total for the end of the year rankings."

Ziv was moderately interested in what the teacher was saying, trying to be a good student, at least most of the time. Even as one who liked to train the white haired fifth year welcomed the break and perhaps this would be some fun as it sounded like some type of team sport, something he'd never had the chance to do because of his upbringing. A half smile on his thin lips as he continued to listen as the older man explained the basics of the game. "Alright, the objective of the game is actually pretty simple. We're indoors today as fifth years don't normally have access to all the different types of equipment that some of the older students do, so the field is a bit smaller. Today we'll be doing some practice in these one hundred meters by seventy-five meters arena. The youth looked around and noticed that fuuin markers had been placed on the corners of the so-called field that Ryu had spoken about but what caught his eye the most was that there was fuuin floating nearly a hundred meters in the air as well at the same corner locations as the one on the ground. "A normal field ranged between a hundred and fifty meters to up to two hundred meters in size. But no matter the size of the field the object is always the same. A team of eight to ten students, depending on field size, need to gain control of the blitz ball and using their hands and feet get it into the goal of the opposing team on the other end of the field. Simple enough, right?" As Ryu finished, he tucked the ball back under his arm and scanned his audience to ensure that he hadn't lost anyone so far, after all, is didn't sound too hard and like a mix of soccer and rugby perhaps.

"Well then, everyone move inside the fuuin markers and we'll go through some more rules of the game and end with a little demonstration." With that he turned and moved into the center of the arena and the class followed closely behind
