[Invasion of Suna - Iwa Offense] Battle Site 2 - Grand Gates

The grand gates of Sunagakure are the only known public entrance to the village. With walls of 25m height flanking the massive gates, the structure is impressive to say the least. The gate itself is the landmark of the second site, comprised of the two slabs of packed sandstone which rise at the two openings of the 80m wide corridor which makes up the gate. Large stretches of cloth and earthen shades are erected across the 25m high canyon that makes up the corridor, giving the area a mottled light uncommon in the desert environment. The walls have a large walkway that overlooks the entire corridor, granting a vantage point to attack those below. The gate has 125 strength which regenerates every 3 posts if not completely destroyed.

It would seem that his time hiding within his homeland had come to an end to rapidly, the young looking Dasu clansman had heard just like the rest of the village that the threat of war from the Iwa shinobi had become a sad reality. Shaking his head the 'chuunin' walked toward the beautiful main gates with his hands in his pockets, head tilted down slightly as he could only sigh to himself as others ran about from place to place. Other shinobi were moving the civilians to shelters within the village while others were moving to strategic positions around the perimeter preparing the defensive sites. But Zao hadn't been tasked, after all the village only believed that he was a simple chuunin at this point, sadly he hadn't been able to recover his lost strength just yet, but his heart wouldn't let him just stand by. Perhaps this was the reason fate had brought his soul back to Suna, perhaps this was his one last purpose in life to potentially atone somewhat for the grave sins of his past.

After a few minutes he reached the already well guarded main entrance to the village, his appearance didn't even draw a single glance as they were to busy continuing with war defense preparations, while others had their eyes glued on the sandy horizon outside of the massive gate and walls. Chakra circulated through the body of the youth giving a gentle cyan hue glow around his feet as he leaped up along the canyon walls and arrived a few seconds later atop the gate. It was here that Suna was make their stand, he would make his own last stand to protect the two families of his own. "Come to me my old friends."

Just as one of the senior shinobi's on the defensive site was about to yell at the boy to withdraw, seeing no use for a simple chuunin here on the front lines he was taken back as a massive portal opened up above the white-haired boy's head. Swirling open as the spacetime was corrupted and from it flooded a black mass dotted with tiny red orbs under the sound of thousands of beating wings. His death guard swarm entered the human world for the first time in years, their demonic appearance enough to frighten even grown men and then something else followed them. A huge black skinned demon beast.

It's body was a mixture of a human and elephant fell from the sky landing before the gates, even the sandy ground not enough to fully absorb the impact from the massive beast that had six arms, lifting its head showed that of a elephant with fout massive tusks and three elephant trunks coming from face. Several weapons and shields hung from around the beasts body as it straighted up to its full height that towered over even the main gates of Suna. ' Only a select few knew who these spirits belonged to, but it was for sure that his secret would be revealed on this day as the demon crows circled over Zou at around 200 meters in the air as the elephant spirit moved to about a hundred meters in front of the gate. Zao jumping on his left shoulder as he started to move away. 'So it begins, perhaps this will make up for my mistakes in the past, at least some of them...

Forming hand seals, Zao is be able to summon forth up to [2] spirits that are bound within his personal realm. The spirit or spirits are able to fight for their master for up to eight posts after the post they are summoned from the user's personal realm. After that post, if the spirit has not yet returned to it's realm of it's own accord then it will be automatically pulled back in to the ninja's personal realm.

Summoning Zoukingu and Death Guard Swarm

The weather in Wind was the complete opposite of Rock. Where Rock was cold year round, Wind was scorching hot. The dry heat was gross and sapped her strength from her. The less time she spent here, the better. Hell, Kaori was surprised she had even BEEN deployed but with the death of Ken it was inevitable someone else would be needed to take his place on the front lines. Kaori's face was marred by a frown as she, Tadashi, and Kenji walked to the battlefield with 80 meters between each of them. She was in the middle of the trio with Tadashi on her left and Kenji on her right. The moment she was able to see canyon walls, Kaori ran through a set of hand seals.

Raiton surged throughout her body, lightning arcing off of it and into the air before dissipating with no one or thing to connect with and vaporize. She felt the chakra supercharge her muscles and chakra network then ran through another set of hand seals, this time much shorter. An armor of lightning came into existence around her within the blink of an eye. A third, final set of hand seals were worked through as Kaori saw a cloud of black rise high into the sky and a creature taller than the canyon walls coming out to meet her with a figure on its shoulder. She expelled the torrent of destructive wind from her gullet and it rose high into the air while she sped forward 30 meters at half speed.

The lightning arcing off of her would strike out at Zouking and Zao whether they moved or not and, as she stopped, Kaori commanded the torrent of howling wind to come crashing down 50 meters behind them. The slicing winds crashed against the sand with enough force to blow an immense volume of it airborne and obscure the vision of the gate until it settled. The winds spread out from the point of impact and washed over everything within a 115 diameter from the canyon walls to the gate to even Zouking and Zao if they did not move.

Raiton of Red: Great Armament
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals and surging her own body with Raiton and Katon Chakra to stimulate the muscles, Ao will find she has tremendously increased her [Speed] and [Control] each by 5, though at the downfall of her [Strength] and [Willpower] both losing 5 each. Additionally, Raiton will arc from her body towards anything within 25 meters of her person the bolts flying off at [50] Speed and striking with [50] Strength, the very ground also being set ablaze by her presence for the next 7 posts, rather than shocking with raitons passive.

After the correct hand seals are performed, the user coats themselves in a thick layer of lightning. This armour of lightning forms near instantly and requires [50] Strength to break. During this time, the user's physical strikes apply the Raiton shocking effect.

Fuuton of Red: Furnace Dragon
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals, Ao will spew forth a large torrent of condensed fuuton chakra which will rise high into the air. Within the next 7 posts, Ao can cause the chakra to come crashing down to a location of her choosing, encompassing an area 100 meters in diameter and moving at [50] Speed, bringing with it cuts of [50] strength and causing the very ground to ignite from the force of impact, causing fires to spread around, rather than carrying fuutons passive. This windforce will linger for 7 posts after being called down, continuously impacting the area each post.

[Zao]

The old demon elephant didn't bother to wait to greet the strangers that appeared on the horizon as they reached inside a two hundred meter range from him, the elephant drew back all three of his right hands as two of the three left arms took up a pair of massive twenty five meter tall shields from its back. As the three foriegn shinobi continued to advance and prep their jutsu the gigantic spirit threw its clenched black skinned fist directly into the ground out in front of him angling it to send most of the power outwards towards the targets. 'Meteor Strike!' Zou opened with his ultimate attack, even with the ground not being completely solid the powerful pressure created with the strike impacted the ground literally creating a powerful earthquake that sweep outwards out to two hundred meters out from the huge beast. Unleashing with it devastation and destruction as it radiated outwards from the impact of the strike looking to swallow up all three of the Iwa shinobi who had presented themselves. The two left hands raising above its head as it did so expecting the ninjutsu attack made from Kaori as the beast delivered its meteor strike to soon be raining down on top of him and its master.

[Ultimate Earthquake, Meteor Strike]
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The large summon leap upward and draw back all its arms on one side of its body preparing to strike the ground below as its falls back down. It will then slam it's three fists into the ground with its full strength all at once creating a powerful earthquake, that will cause major destruction and devastation within the radius of the technique. The earthquake caused the ground to break apart and move about increasing the difficult for opponents with less [Strength] than the elephant's [Strength] to keep their footing. Those with five less [Strength] than spirit will suffer damage from crashing into the ground as it is torn asunder from the force of the attack, with the damage increasing as the gap between the target's [Strength] and the elephant spirit's increases. The earthquake effects reaching out [Strengthx4] meters in radius from the elephant spirit's impact and continues over the course of two posts.

[Zao]

The mass of darkness that looked like a looming cloud of death swirled in the air above both its master and the massive demon elephant spirit, having rose into the air nearly two hundred meters the trio of red eyes on each black feathered bird able to take in the sandy landscape below, spotting the trio of shinobi that approached rapidly. Three of them, each separated from one another as Zou instantly welcomed then as they entered a range of just inside two hundred meters now as the Death Guard took this opportunity as they would need to deal with the earthquake style of attack to split into two groups. One flanked left of the group towards Kenji's right side, the other followed a similar attack pattern and swooped out to the right of the group rapidly closing in on Tadashi, ensuring they were both outside of the range of the ninjutsu technique being used by Kaori before they flashed in at full speed and strength towards their prey.

[Niro]

Kenji's boots dug into the sand as he crossed into the battlefield with the other two and immediately performed a set of hand seals. He couldn't feel the heat like his comrades but his eyes were already scanning the field to see a distorted black cloud fly high into the air on the opposite end and an enormous detailless figure walking towards them from within the mouth of the canyon. The Youton making up his skin hardened into stone and became a form of armor as it encompassed him in its protective shell. He continued to run through another set of seals only for the ground to began to shake and roil as if he was standing atop an ocean as he finished the last seal. On his way down to one knee, Kenji stomped on the ground and activated his jutsu. A seemingly real ocean of lava erupted from the sand as he did so and took the form of a gigantic tidal wave; the sheer height of the wave would hopefully meet and catch some of the incoming swarm in its viscious burning sludge as it moved forward to meet Zouking, the mouth of the canyon, and the wall. The wave was aimed with Zouking on the left edge of it and the center of the wave positioned to break over the wall, flood the canyon with lava, and batter the gate.

The earthquake forced Kenji to his knees and rather than try to continue to move, he buckled down and committed to a third set of hand seals as he followed the portion of the swarm which hadn't been caught in the tidal wave diving towards him. He raised his hand upwards and waited until the swarm was 50 meters away. He spread his fingers out to increase the spread and fired off four orbs of Youton from his fingertips into the swarm. Each orb would detonate immediately upon coming within 1 meter of the demonic flock, intent on vaporizing what had come for him.

Once fired off, his body would begin to glow with chakra in preparation for whatever survived and did make its way towards him.

The user will channel and cause a layer of lava to harden into stone atop their skin into a set of armor. The hardened stone will protect the user with [45] Strength for 5 posts.

Youton: Tidal Wave
S-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user stomps the ground, causing a tidal wave of lava to burst forth 160 meters wide, 30 meters thick, and 100 meters tall. The wave will flow forward at [40] Speed and [50] Strength, crashing into and destroying everything in it's path for up to 160 meters before running out of power. Large puddles of lava will form every 10 meters the wave travels until impacting.

The user will channel and cause lava to seep from their fingertips and form into four spheres of lava 6 inches in diameter able to move with [40] Speed. Once within range of a target, each sphere can explode individually or as a group explode with [50] Strength and spray lava buckshot within a radius of 3 meters of each with [50] Strength and [40] Speed

Tadashi stepped onto the sand of the battlefield and immediately activated the necklace given to him by Natsumi and Kanade. From his position, an intense aura of deadly cold swept forth intent on flash freezing any caught in its path and creeping into those who entered its range after the initial wave of cold relieving him, and others within it, of the oppresive effects of the desert heat. The instantaneous activation of the item let him waste no time and begin sealing. A cloak of flame twisted into existence around his limbs as a form of protection against those who would come close.

The distorted figure walking up the canyon and the black cloud were ominous. Unsure if the distortion was due to the heat or an ability of the monolithic humanoid opposing them, Tadashi flew into another set of seals and a flaming purple barrer burst forth into existence around him meant to weaken what he guessed was a spirit due to its immense, inhuman size yet humanoid shape. The backside of the barrier was positioned only 5 meter from Tadashi and the rest extended forward and upwards.

The earthquake followed right after and forced Tadashi to take a knee. A look of annoyance came across his face as he saw the black cloud split in two to come after himself and Kenji who was across the battlefield. He ran through his third set of seals and took a deep breath before unleashing an ocean of flames which dwarfed the size of the incoming black cloud from his mouth into the airspace above him intent on burning whatever made it up to ashes as it crossed the threshold of the barrier.

Activate Blizzard - A beautiful, ornate necklace inlaid with a large sapphire. The user may channel chakra into into to activate the following jutsu. Over the course of the next post, the temperature in an 160 meter radius of the user will rapidly drop to an extreme, biting cold of -75 C and be able to freeze bodies of water and the earth at 50 Speed with a 3m safe zone surrounding the user. Beings within the area of the technique not familiar with the temperature drop will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain.

*Katon • Flame Armor
A-Rank Ninjutsu
After the needed hand seals, the user will release katon outward from their body rapidly as the fire twists around them. This fire forms a 3-inch layer of flames around their body that manifests at [Control] speed, and essentially provide a pseudo-defense against taijutsu for the next five posts. If anyone comes into contact with the armor, they will receive burns and incoming attacks will be repelled with [Control] strength.

Area Denial
A-Ranked Tenkujutsu
The user channels the needed chakra and then forms a flaming purple barrier 100x100x100m in size around them. The barrier itself does not prevent or stop movement from any person into and out of it but while in this barrier, Spirits/Summons will suffer -3 Strength and -2 Control per post for 4 posts. Additionally, the barrier will recognize any Spirits/Summons who enter and attempt to bind them in place with a [Control] Speed & Strength chain. This barrier lasts for 5 posts.

[Dragon's Breath]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user takes a deep breath and expels a large stream of flames from his mouth. The stream moves at speed up to [Control] and can hit with [Control] strength. It can reach up to 100 meters long, and is thin for up to 5 meters immediately in front of him before expanding up to 70 meters wide. Due to the user’s impeccable chakra control, he can alter the size of the stream at creation and at any time thereafter. The stream can be maintained continuously for up to 7 posts so long as he holds the final seal; during this time, Kotaru can halt the flames and start them back up again at will.

[Zao]

As the giant elephant demon reached back to slam its trio of arms down into the particles of sand below its redwood like legs, Zao bent at the knees and sprung forward as a set of angelic like wings of pure blue chakra formed on his back and the man shot forward forming a single hand seal. A human sized cloud of chakra smoke appeared off to his left as the attack from Zou impacted the ground sending the earthquake through the earth below him as he flew about twenty meters off the deck, from the cloud appeared an identical copy of the man himself, a shadow clone.

The clone proceeded to summon a fiery red-looking fan into its hands as they duo rapidly closed on Kaori's position, avoiding the lava wave that would be created on their left side, due to their speed and straight-line movement, that was expanding towards the swarm on the left flank (from Zao's perspective) and to Zou's left side. At the same time the clone summoned the spirit weapon the real Zao retrieved three kunai inscribed kunai from the left hip pouch as chakra circulated through his body and into his right hand as the hand also took one kunai from the left-hand firming wrapping his fingers around the weapon.

At this point the clone allowed the real Zao to pull about a meter in front of the clone at this point. Entering that 25-meter range only a few moments after leaping from Zou's back, moving at their top speed the lightning armor would automatically lash out at the real Zao who extended his right hand allowing for the lightning to strike at him as the clone swung the phoenix fan activating its effect at full strength causing flames to rush outwards like a huge wave that scorched the sand below turning it into glass as it expanded as fast horizontally as it did forward transforming into a katon construct of the legendary creature.

The lightning from the lightning armor would strike the real Zao, but the moment it did it would be affected by his active space time technique and without any trace or warning it was erased completely from this time and space, at least briefly leaving his opponent to face the oncoming raging flames head on while dealing with Zou's earthquake attack.

Jutsu in order of use

[Chakra Wings]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra the user will focus on making the chakra collect around their back as the chakra is shaped into four large wings, these end up looking similar to feathery angel wings. The wings each measure just over two meter in length and just under and one meter wide at their widest point. These wings are able to flap and are strong enough to allow the user to fly for up to 8 posts. The user can only fly up to 30 meters in combat but higher outside of combat. The user is able to fly at a speed equal to their [Control] stat, up to a maximum of their [Speed] stat.

*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Shadow Clone Technique]
S-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ninjutsu • Shadow Clone Technique]
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the user's Chakra Pool). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own, be given complex commands, caught in genjutsu, and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for Chakra Pool, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect. The advantage of this form of the technique is that once dispersed, the chakra distributed to the clones returns to the user, allowing any un-used chakra to be regained, slowing the draining usage of this technique. The chakra returns to the user at a different rate depending on the user's control.

[Open Space • Into My Hand]
B-rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Fuuinjutsu: Marked in Space]
The user will channel chakra through one of their hand as if grasping something. After doing so, their chakra will reach out through space itself to grab hold of anything bearing the [Fuuinjutsu: Space Marker] Seal, bringing the object or person in question to the user's hand regardless of distance or who's possession it is currently in. For people, this can be resisted with [Control] equal to or greater than the user's.

Summons Flaming Phoenix Fan (shadow clone)


Erase Space: Raiton
S-rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then come in contact with a body of Lightning. The moment they come in contact with it, the body of lightning will vanish, up to 100x100x100m worth, regardless of its speed, strength or temperature, having absolutely no impact on the user. Five posts after the application of this technique, a series of lightning will strike violently across the sky above the user over the course of the next two posts. The targeted body of Lightning can be naturally occurring, the byproduct of a jutsu, or a jutsu in motion itself



Effect #1 - Phoenix Rebirth - After imbuing chakra into the fan, golden flames cover the surface of the fan, then the flames will leap from the fan forming into a grand phoenix construct with a one hundred and sixty meters wing span and one-hundred-meter-long body including its long tail feathers, having [Control] speed and [Control] strength. The legendary flaming bird is able to exist for the next [Control/5] Posts.

50 Control used

The earthquake had not only forced her to a knee but clashed, and continued to clash, against her armor as well. With it showing no signs of stopping, Kaori's hands continued into a familiar set of seals once the seals for her Fuuton were cast. Her armor came back at full power as her lightning defense leapt out to strike at the now-incoming Zaos. The moment it touched one of them, however, the bolt and the chakra surging through her causing her control and speed to be amplified disappeared as if it hadn't been there. Luckily for her, her armor was a completely separate jutsu from the defensive lightning as a torrent of flames obscured Zao from her view while trying to roast her.

The replenished lightning armor surrounding her pushed back and protected her against the flames. Kaori held her breath as the flames sucked up all of the oxygen around her and once more went through another familiar set of seals. Lightning coursed through her system again as the flames receded and took the form of a phoenix. The defensive bolt leapt from her form towards the phoenix while Kaori continued into a simple third set of seals meant to hide the true element of her next attack, unsure if the Zao who had touched the bolt had suffered the effects of the jutsu in exchange for deleting it or not, and then into the final fourth where she spewed her own torrent of flames at the phoenix and the Zaos, hoping the genjutsu would trick them all into believing it was another blast of lightning instead.

Behind them, her Fuuton jutsu released another blast of destructive wind into the canyon. The hurricane force winds and the continued rumbling of the earthquake impacted the gate again and now, in addition to the first blast and the initial earthquake, the walls and the gates protecting Sunagakure no Sato from invasion crumbled.

The user will form a series of hand seals, seeing these seals being the trigger for the genjutsu. For those initiated, the next time within the next three posts that the user casts a Katon ninjutsu, it will instead appear as a Raiton ninjutsu in the same shape, size, and stats. Though the initial period for the genjutsu is three posts, the changed ninjutsus appearance will last until the end of the ninjutsus duration.

Katon of Blue: Vortex
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals, Ao will spew forth a massive torrent of fire. Upon landing, the flames will spread out to encompass a 30 meter area, 10 meters in height and spreading to its full size at [50] Speed and impacting with [50] Strength. These flames will passively push downwards and envelop anything in the vicinity utilizing the suiton passive in place of the katon passive for the next 5 posts.

[Zao]

Zou was barely able to track his master who vanished from his shoulder charging straight into the fight, something that was off about the Spirit Saint who usually used his spirits and long range techniques to attack foes. But he was also different after having his soul drawn back into this world and the giant elephant emperor had more to focus on than the strange actions of the white-haired man. From his bent over position the wind attack was about to land behind him and now he faced a lava attack from the front, but thankfully the attack wasn't aimed directly at him as he used the power in his building size legs to push hard right, using a forward right angle of movement to just escape the edge of the lava tidal wave, not caring about the wall behind him. His master didn't deem it important so why would the spirit who had nothing to do with the village do so.

As he just cleared the edge of the lava flow, ensuring not to enter the massive Tenku barrier's edge as he knew all too well what the colored barrier would do to him, he instantly pushed back to the front left directly at the lava user. All three of his giant arms coming down once again with the same technique before as the user witnessed the shinobi shooting more lava off to the side at the stupid demon crows. 'I hope he kills you, stupid birds!' As the hands impacted the scorching sand sending a second wave of earthquakes through the earth (50 strength) he used the power of the momentum to leap high into the air, perhaps as high as a hundred meters arching across the desert down right on top of the Iwa-nin's position with two shield out in front of its chest with the top of the shield at eye level as all three arms were drawn all the way back preparing to strike down as it came down towards Kenji's position.

Birds near Kenji

The birds that had circled around to the right flank of the lava user moved like a school of fight, barely any light penetrating through the dark cloud of feathers as they had turned to come in on the man who in return manifested a growing wave of lava to fort their advance. But already flying at a high altitude and the wave having to grow to its max height but moving at a speed slower than the bird's speed (50) was more than enough for them to turn their descent into an ascent as they climbed over the height that they would be affected by the lava tidal wave. But that bought the man enough time to keep them at bay by launching another wave of balls but the crows rose up to two hundred meters above the target, splitting off into two halves (about 12 sync each) as one probed the man's flank attempts to draw more attacks but getting no closer than 125-150 meters, the other took a large arch around attempting to fly into the air space behind the man, attempting to force him to fight them on two fronts.



Birds near Tadashi

The man's action of activating his necklace combined with the massive tenku barrier, altered the birds attack pattern, as they like neither the cold nor the maroon barrier causing them to shy away from attacking directly like they had first planned to do. Forcing the birds to steer away and like the other side split into two halves (12.5) sync worth, with one staying just at the far-left edge of the battlefield about 175-200 meters away as the second half attempted to use a wide arch circling around keeping the same distance as they tried to get behind the line of Iwa shinobi. This also left them outside the range of the flame dragon, at least for now as the crows looked for a means to fight back against this man who seemed to be every bit a monster like their master.

[Niro]

The rightmost section of the tidal wave crashed against the wall of Sunagakure and immediately began to tear it down. The structures own mass was soon caught up within the wave as debris as it continued to collide with more the wall and eventually whatever remained of the gate. Large puddles, 4m deep by 3m wide, followed in its wake from where it spawned from Kenji. The lava within them boiled and bubbled even as the wave continued on. From there, it would flow into the village proper where it'd wreak whatever havoc among those buildings and people who hadn't evacuated the area. The middle of it was swallowed up by Kaori's miniature hurricane and began to rotate within the vortex adding to its destruction with its own. Whatever remained in the area would not only be blasted with winds capable of bisecting a man but burning hot lava that'd melt them down until only ash remained as well. The section aimed at Zouking continued as the gigantic elephant sidestepped it and would crash into the other side of the walls where they too would crumble and join the wave as debris before flowing out and finally settling where it may.

Kenji's legs felt like they were about to be torn from his body as the earthquake continued even as he fired his projectiles off at the swarm. They had retreated for now it seemed and split into halves. He directed the chakra he had channeled into the ground and as a third rumble of earthquake echoed through his legs, they did explode this time. Kenji's legs burst as he fell forward into the lava puddle, a look of agony on his face and his hands outstretched upwards as he sank within its depths. When Zouking did land, he'd be in for the nasty last ditch surprise of the man who had fallen.

*Chalk Style • Whitewash Trap
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming hand seals, the user causes Chalk to flow into all-terrain within 25 meters of their location at [40] Speed. This causes the terrain to become a large explosive trap, the Chalk laying just below the surface. Any pressure on the terrain that is faster than normal walking speed or that is not protected by some other form of countermeasure will trigger a blast in the area with [50] Strength, launching Chalk particulates 10 meters into the air throughout the entire 25 meter area. This technique lasts for four posts or until otherwise triggered. The Chalk particles from this technique will persist in the area for up to four posts. The passive debuff from this technique stacks with those of other Chalk Style techniques.

[Niro]

Tadashi's gambit had worked and he began to move to the left and away from the rest of those present the moment he noticed the flock steer away from him and then into two separate groups. The wind bomb of Kaori and the tidal wave of Kenji had done their job; the walls and gate protecting Suna from invasion had been torn down. He reeled in the flames but kept the jutsu active in case the birds did try to move against him again as he moved along the edge of his barrer. Finally, Tadashi exited the barrier and continued to move even farther north and then through the destroyed section of wall where he could began to pillage the village of its secrets.

Over the communication fuuinjutsu, Tadashi signaled his lone assault on the final bastion of Suna's defense to the other Iwa and Kiri teams. He did not know who would join him, if any others had survived, but hopefully at least one other did.

[Zao]

The man's fiery phoenix clashed into the lightning armored man, much to the surprise of the spirit saint which knew that he'd erased the lightning bolt from space and time, but the instantly told him that it was a separate effect from another technique not directly related to the technique. The large maw of the massive fire bird biting down upon the raiton cloak/armor technique without reserve for itself as the two Zao's, the real on and his clone, trailed directly behind it as their bodies both glowed with chakra flowing through them as they each had the same idea. 'Body Portal.' The lightning from the supplementary technique smashed into bird as it pushed the maw of the bird back destroying a portion of the flame constructs bird-like face as it clawed at the armor with its massive talons.

Due to the massive size of the bird still in front of them the man and his clone wouldn't be able to see either set of the hand seals from the man but as the torrent of swirling flames erupted from the mouth directly into the bird while both of them had appeared to slip right through the bird's wings, still a few meters from the deck, as they appeared no more than ten meters away as their bodies each shimmered with a unique appearance like looking at the starscape of a clear night sky. Lightning from the man's armament technique and the flames both would appear to strike both of them but a meter to the left and right of the man appeared a pair of portals through which the lightning and the fire that had hit both Zao's now lashed back out at their user. Zao used his spacetime technique in hopes of abusing the sheer offensive power of his target to hopefully deal with him quickly as this fight had already become to taxing on his chakra pool that had not fully recovered from taking over this new body.

His powerful bird was smashed by the vortex of flames that pushed it back and would lead to the destruction of center mass of the construct that could only take so much damage before it broke apart spewing flames across the already scorching desert sands.

Open Space: Body Portal x2
B-rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then come allow their spacetime chakra to flow through their body. This allows their body to act temporarily just like a portal would for the next two posts. When an object or person touches the user, it or they will pass into the user's body and reappear through a portal that the user will manifest within 65 meters of their current location at the same speed and strength that it was moving prior to entering the portal.

[Niro]

The intense, near-white hot flames of the phoenix had turned the ground beneath and surrounding Kaori, for as far as she could see from her position, into glass. Her armor had protected her from the initial blast of flames while the defensive bolt and her own flames now worked to keep the construct at bay while the rest of its flames continued to cook the desert sands into glass.

The earth began to calm before once again quakes ripped through the ground. The glass created by the flames of the phoenix and her own flames cracked free of the ground as the world felt like it was being torn apart. Chunks of it launched into the air as once more her armor protected her from the quakes but her eyes widened as two more bolts leapt from her towards the spirit saints fast approaching. Kaori ran through a familiar set of seals every academy student knew and was replaced by a large chunk of previously airborne glass at the edge of the radius of Zouking's earthquake and the closest point of the flames to the destroyed walls of the village. The glass would shatter and the pieces of it turned to slag as the redirected flames and lightning tore through it. Airborne, she ran through a brief set of hand seals and propelled herself forward and left out of the flames and quakes. As her feet hit the ground, she wasted no time in accelerating to her top speed towards the wall utilizing the edge of the radius of the lava hurricane to provide cover for her as she would follow Tadashi to the inner site.

*[Basic Jutsu • Change of Body Stance Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a nearby object that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The object used in this jutsu may not be objects that are imbued with chakra or controlled by it unless it is the users own, and they may also only be single, solid objects within a 10 meter radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

Zou

He mentally yelled at the flow of birds closest to him. 'Hurry and help out master!' As the giant elephant fell with his shields in front of him, the one covered with a ten-meter by ten-meter fuuin was activated as the free third left arm of the spirit formed a single hand seal as he affixed the shield almost as if the spirit was aiming it down towards the man who appeared to be sinking into the earth. From his perspective he wasn't able to tell what the man was doing but perhaps he was using some manner to attempt and escape. At that point all he could hear was the echo of his master's words to finish the enemies as quickly as possible then to help with the other two. Zou wouldn't normally use the fuuin inscription as it could only be used once, and his master would need to reinscribe it upon the shield for him. But because of the situational it was activated at around fifty meters above the ground with the 'chakra kai' technique and all at once the directional explosive seal erupted with a fifty-strength explosion directed towards the lava user.

This in turn triggered the awaiting explosive trap and the two forces smashed against each other, the elephant had placed himself tightly behind the combination of the two shields as the force of both explosions sent him flying back in the direction that he'd come front. Launching him backwards the same number of meters as the strength of the technique after it collided with the chalk technique. Twisting his body into the air the ape turned his two shields as he approached the earth in a somewhat uncontrolled manner slamming into the scorching hot sands as his momentum pushed him back towards the destroyed wall as two of his hands with swords in them now on the right side stabbed out at the earth using them to slow him to a stop around fifty meters from the crumbled gate. Needing a moment to recover before being able to continue.

Two twenty five meter tower shields, blood red in color with the royal seal of the emperor elephant race engraved upon its front with a pair of straps in the center of the shield's underside so that it can be held securely with one or two hands. Can be slung on the back of either shoulder with a harness made for each shield. One shield is inscribed with [Augment Fuuinjutsu • Strengthen and Enhance] covering over 90% of the shield's surface while the other shield is inscribed with two of Zao's [Force Fuuinjutsu • Directional Explosive Release] creating a square 10 meter by 10 meter fuuin inscription on the top and bottom of the front side of the giant shield.

Swarm near Tadashi

The shinobi's rapid movement towards the wall was unexpected, the swarm believing that he'd attempt to stay within the confined space of the Tenku barrier they'd emplaced around themselves at the start of the conflict. Each section of the swarm, including the swarm on the other side of the battlefield moved as a single entity, all shifting direction at the same time flying towards the wall. While the swarm off the right flank of the battlefield, to Tadashi's left side, instantly flashed toward flying straight to the point right over the top of the marron barrier while the man was moving around the edge of the earthquake technique towards the destroyed wall that was large pile of rubble at this point. The initial group (moving at 50 speed) were flying faster than the man could move and also in a straight line would have arrived at the barrier (which should be roughly 80-100m from the wall) before careening downwards after breaking into four separate smaller groups as the Iwa-nin attempted to cross the rest of the desert to reach the remnants of the wall.

Splitting up and rapidly descending in groups of roughly 3 sync each (four total groups now) that then split into groups of one sync each immediately after. Attacking in a Kaza kami style manner as the groups then further split into an attack pattern of one sync (1x1x1m) groups. Which each of the four main group attacked, one to the direction front, one attempting to fly further over and then down from the top as the other two arched out around sixty-to-seventy meters to either side in order to slow him from getting to and over the wall that had been destroyed. Even with the wide range of the katon technique, picking off one or two of the groups would still allow the other two main groups that flanked to either side to rapidly close the distance and attack in their smaller one sync groups.

The second group that was flying from the rear of the man, but starting off more than a hundred meters behind his position was also flashing through the sky just above the maroon barrier attempting to chase after the man when below them just as they made it to the barrier another man appeared seemingly out of nowhere at the edge of the earthquake technique then boosted himself forwards styling in midair. Giving no regard to the barrier at this point they immediately made the decision to attack the second target as they descended in mass, all at once, attempting to surround and attack him from every angle after approaching from above and behind at their max (50) speed and strength.

The swarm near the lava user had already heard the mental call from the giant elephant spirit and had turned flying at around a hundred and fifty meters above the ground and was headed straight towards the destroyed gate as just behind them the explosion from the elephant's fuuin seal shield went off. Crossing the two-hundred-meter distance would only take a few short moments moving at their max speed. Hoping to intercept the fleeing shinobi from the other side of the battlefield if he pushed back towards the center of the battle area.

[Niro]

Tadashi was glad he had formed his barrier the way he did. With the back wall of the barrier being formed only 5 meters behind him, the remaining 95m had expanded forwards towards the wall, 100m skywards, and 50m to his left and right. The furthest wall of the barrier was only 20m from the rubble of wall. He watched as the swarm began to congregate above him atop the barrier from across the battlefield, unwilling to cross into the barrier and suffer its ill effects, and formulated a plan. He dropped the Katon jutsu and began to seal again as he switched from moving left to straight across the frozen-then-unfrozen sand under the cover of the barrier, 20m from its leftmost edge. Rather than exit it just yet, Tadashi came to a stop 10m from the formerly-furthest wall of the barrier as he watched the swarm hover above him outside of it.

His hand seals finished as he came to a stop and another barrier of purple flames began to form with its back wall 5m behind him. This time, Tadashi let the barrier expand to its extended size of 140x140x140m rather than keeping it within its normal constraints of 100x100x100m as it sought to envelope the swarm and provide cover for him to continue forward across the rubble and into the city proper. It extended forward 135m from Tadashi, 140m skywards, and 70m to his left and right, now enveloping the path Kaori was moving through as well, in an attempt to catch the swarm off guard and trap both section of the swarm within a double layer of barriers where they'd begin to weaken while chains erupted from the walls attempting to bind the sections of swarm. The bannin continued his run forward with his second barrier now up, the fiery armor around him still swirling, and kept an eye on the swarm in case they did cross the barriers and come to him, ready to activate 'Blizzard' once they did and flash freeze the entire flock.

The user channels the needed chakra and then forms a flaming purple barrier 100x100x100m in size around them. The barrier itself does not prevent or stop movement from any person into and out of it but while in this barrier, Spirits/Summons will suffer -3 Strength and -2 Control per post for 4 posts. Additionally, the barrier will recognize any Spirits/Summons who enter and attempt to bind them in place with a [45] Speed & Strength chain. This barrier lasts for 5 posts.

[Niro]

The explosions erupted above and chalk blinded the area as they finished. Beneath the surface of the puddle, Kenji channeled chakra as he sank deeper within it and the rest of the earth shook. Within its liquid embrace, the shaking of the earthquake was muted compared to the desert sands. He felt the molten rock reform into his left leg as he continued to channel and stomped the newly reformed leg against the bottom of the puddle before it burst and he lost it for a second time to the quakes upon contact with solid ground. Once more, a tidal wave of lava erupted from beneath him and this time, Kenji rode atop the wave as he and it burst out of the puddles surface.

This time, the wave wasn't aimed at Zao, Zou, or the rest but 90 degrees to the right where he could escape to join and help another team. Kenji channeled and felt both his legs reform atop the wave before turning to look back for any chasers as it traveled away from Zou who was blown back to the area still under the onslaught of the combination lava hurricane and would probably catch him in its flaming winds, the swarm which had redirected to Tadashi, and Zao who was targeting Kaori.

The wave will flow forward at [40] Speed and [50] Strength, crashing into and destroying everything in it's path for up to 160 meters before running out of power. Large puddles of lava will form every 10 meters the wave travels until impacting.

As the man transitioned to a chunk of heated sand turned to glass, the Spirit Saint immediately understood that the target had used a substitution technique, turning immediately to his left with the spacetime technique still active on his body and wings on his back the shadow clone poofed away returning the remaining chakra it had back to its owner as the real one flashed back through the spiraling flames of the target's technique and his own collapsing phoenix. He could understand the situation across the battlefield through his mental link with both spirits, but he didn't know exactly where his own target had gone but understood where the other one was trying to go and that his swarm was attempting to intersect them.

In his left hand a seal began to appear on the fingertips of each finger, to include the thumb. as he focused his eyes to the left after exiting the fiery area locking onto the escaping target that was Tadashi, 'Stall him!' That was his mental command to both of his spirits active on the battlefield as he moved the man focused on a straight line between himself and the man as he moved at his maximum speed still flying across the desert floor, allowing his chakra to affect the literal fabric of space between himself and the back of the fleeing shinobi. Then he channeled another technique focused upon Tadashi himself who was forming hand seals for another jutsu, having paused for a just a moment to not exit his own barrier. In that moment he thrusted his left hand (with the Paralysis fuuin on it) forward as he took a step that flashed him seventy-five meters in a single step as he appeared nearly touching the back of his target, the fellow shinobi. His body protected from the flames of the fire armor by the still lingering body portal technique.

As he entered this distance his second spacetime technique was able to finally take effect, being within range, speeding up the time on the man's flame armor, causing it to be corroded away into nothingness as the man's hand was striking out with full strength and speed in a palm strike directly onto the center of the Iwa-nin's back as his body portal technique ended. If contact was made, he would be able to successfully transfer the five fuuin seals on his hand, applying this fuuin to Tadashi's back which would cause bodily paralysis.

By channeling in front of the user they can tighten the space directly in front of them in a single, linear direction up to 25 meters in length and the space tightens with a speed of [Control]. When the user then performs a jutsu, launches a projectile, or throws a strike this allows the technique or projectile to immediately traverse that distance and surprise the enemy.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then focus on a ninjutsu within 40 meters of their person. Any posts count on that ninjutsu will be depleted by 4 posts. Should this go beyond the limit for that ninjutsu, it will end as it would have it reached completion.

Kaori rocketed through the air as her jutsu carried her across the rubble of the wall before her feet finally touched down on the sand making up the ground where she immediately continued running. Not one to look back, she continued at max speed into the city even as the swarm redirected to chase after her. With plenty of distance already between them, their same speeds keeping the distance between them apart, and Kaori's Raiton acting a defense just in case somehow the birds did come close, the swarm was an afterthought as she left the site.

[Zao]

Zou had recovered from being blown away, lifting his eyes to the left he understood that his master was attempting to deal with the shinobi who was able to utilize the Tenku technique which were truly a back for him and the other spirits. But coming up fast on the far side of the barrier he could see the swarm chasing after the figure who was far away from both the Tenku shinobi and his master, the best he could muster as he rushed towards the edge of the old barrier was to draw back his upper left arm with the shield that had the explosive fuuin on it and launch it, aiming it ahead of the man attempting to lead his movements directly into the twenty-five meter shield as the man would start to climb the rubble that was previously the wall. Thrown with all his might (50 strength) it was a last-ditch effort to slow down the other man as he moved toward the rubble himself outside of the old and new edge of the barrier forming.

[Zao]

The flock chasing the Kaori dive bombed him in mass, slowed down slightly by the effects of the barrier as they chased him down and slow his movements if possible. While the part of the swarm that had been preoccupied with Tadashi and where already further ahead because of them chasing that man also attempted to maneuver down through the barrier at this time to stop him from leaving or advancing.

Zao's remaining swarm were circling over the pile of rubble but closer to where the gate had been, awaiting the order from their master if he wanted them to join in with the rest or maintain their current location as a reinforcement element at this point, seeing the massive elephant also advancing closer to them as both units stayed clear of the barrier(s) for the mean time.

[Niro]

The last thing Tadashi saw as he was moving across the sands before being struck was the elephant throwing its shield towards Kaori, who had already cleared the rubble due to her Fuuton and was running deep into the city by the time it had recovered enough to sight her, which was caught up by the edge of the Fuuton-Youton vortex before being turned into chunks of metallic slag after suffering the buffeting winds and magma tearing at it. He began to channel as he tumbled across the sands head first and rolled before coming to a stop on his back, carried by the unexpected blow of Zao's some 5 meters away. Utilizing what little time he had, he was thankful the necklace around his neck was designed to be channeled into as he released the blizzard sealed within it once again.

The desert area around them instant dropped to 0 and then far below it as the sands surrounding Tadashi began to freeze solid. He laid there as it spread out, unsure of what fate awaited him next.

Activate Blizzard - A beautiful, ornate necklace inlaid with a large sapphire. The user may channel chakra into into to activate the following jutsu. Over the course of the next post, the temperature in an 160 meter radius of the user will rapidly drop to an extreme, biting cold of -75 C and be able to freeze bodies of water and the earth at 50 Speed with a 3m safe zone surrounding the user. Beings within the area of the technique not familiar with the temperature drop will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain.

[Zao]

As Zao would knock the man forward his momentum continued, not letting him more than a few feet from him as he followed the shinobi who ended face down into the ground, the feeling of the young-looking man's weight pressed down in the center of the Iwa-Nin's back as the man had knelt on his back reaching towards the back of his neck with his left hand now. The hand glowed with five more symbols, chakra fuuin symbols that were different from the others as he grabbed at the back of his foe's neck as the blizzard jutsu activated again, 'The same as before...?' But this time he'd been inside of the so called 'safe zone' but even there he couldn't help but get a chill in his bones. His fingertips wrapped around the neck of the face down opponent, a new fuuin seal appearing on the body of the target that would prevent him from manipulating any chakra after this point. Standing up, he looked around as the formerly scorching desert was turned into a frozen wasteland, but this prevented him from stopping the other man from escaping into the village as a trail of fire was left in his wake.

After a few moments when the blizzard area of effect technique ended, he tapped the ground with his foot, a black swirl of distorted space appeared under the paralyzed man's body and Tadashi was sucked into the 'black hole' directly into the man's personal realm. "We'll have a chat later." These were the only words the man spoke as his target was dragged away to a faraway place. Though he was the man's enemy he didn't kill him, at least not immediately, instead Zao sent him to hang out in his personal realm with the rest of his companions. Zou and the swarm were unsummoned at this point as large portals seemed to abruptly appear around both portions of the birds and the large elephant spirit before they were absorbed into the fabric of spacetime. Then he pushed forward easily able to follow the trail of the man due to the fire he left, but from the direction of his movement it seemed obvious he was headed directly to the center of the village. 'I see...'
