[Invasion of Suna - Iwa Offense] Battle Site 4 - Central Sunagakure no Sato

On the lowest level of the quarry-like depression enclosed by the great walls, the interior streets of Sunagakure no Sato lie empty. The walls are breached. Invaders from far away lands stream into the elevated upper rings of the village extremes under foreign banners, clashing with Sunagakure shinobi inside the walls in valiant final defence of their home. But the civilians, and among them the upper echelon of Sunagakure's elite—the councillors, the clan leaders, the administration staff and all the valued secrets they bear—are in flight or in hiding.

At the centre of the village stands the Kage's building. Around it, rising like sentinels amid the swirling dust and sand, are grand statues of the previous eight Kagekaze. Some old, some modern, they depict each of the historical Kazekage from the second to the tenth, looking out over their precious village. The last of these depicts a man still fighting somewhere on this furious day of days.

A small group of officials, bearing between them scrolls and secrets, vanish behind one of the statues into a hidden tunnel, sealing the entrance behind them into a seamless, congruent wall. They flee downwards, deeper and deeper into the tunnels and shafts towards The Pit. The infamous Sunagakure prison complex itself remains sealed, but its various service tunnels and hidden access routes have become the focal point of the village's emergency evacuation.

The labyrinthine network of tunnels—some newly carved for this day, others repurposed from old air ducts serving the Pit, run beneath the village and connect to various hidden entrances. Each tunnel is 15m wide, with a 25m high vaulted ceiling, and have a gentle decline as they weave for 200 metres down into the depths beneath the hidden village. At their deepest point, in a guard post in the furthest reaches of The Pit, three tunnels emerge into a wide chamber hewn from natural rock, with a sand floor. The chamber is 120 metres wide and long, with a metal-reinforced 50-strength ceiling 50 metres high. On the furthest wall opposite the entrances, a ring of fuuinjutsu freshly painted onto the rock shimmers and awakens into a portal, leading away to an unknown place. In front of that wall, a shimmering vault door of 125-strength crystal blocks access to all hostiles, taking up the full 120m width and 50m height of the room.

[Rotating characters arrive on the surface of Sunagakure, but within access of a tunnel entrance, in the time order that they rotated out from their previous sites. After ten rounds of the first character entrance, aides and village HVT's (council members, clan leaders, etc.) carrying the village secrets and styles (kugutsu, sand, kuuton) will succeed in evacuating away from danger. The 'tower' objective is the vault door. It is made of crystal which, like other Towers, regenerates its strength every 3 posts, but does not behave as Shouton or a specific technique with other defensive characteristics. The same participant limits (3v3, with a max of two 200+ stat characters per side) apply as in previous sites.]

Kaori's feet pounded against the hard sand as she crossed into the city of Sunagakure no Sato proper. The destruction of the wall surrounding the city and gates had allowed for the main fighting force of Rock Country to come streaming through within various weak points around the village causing chaos to erupt across it. With a quick leap, she continued to run across the rooftops of various homes and shops in search of the Council and any other village leaders fleeing in the streets. Fighting had broken out and civilians who hadn't already evacuated were making last ditch attempts to do so. Her eyes landed on a group of civilians making way to a service tunnel, one adult man holding the door open for the group of three others. A grimace came across the woman's face as she drew a single blade and dived at him at her full speed.

The civilian's head was removed from his shoulders before he knew what was coming. She figured she would make it quick and save them all the pain and suffering. Screams erupted from the others but Kaori quickly cut them off, her blade and lightning ending their screams as they too fell victim to her. The door to the tunnel came to a stop against the splayed leg of one of the civilians before Kaori sheathed her blade, entered the tunnel, kicked the body out of the way, pulled it closed, and locked it as she once more took off full speed towards wherever the civilians were evacuating to, the ground behind her catching fire as she ran along the length of the 200m tunnel. If anyone came directly after her, they'd chance burning to crisp from the spreading flames once they unlocked the door.

Unimpeded, Kaori began to perform hand seals as her run dumped her out to a large, sandy room where an imposing crystal wall opposed her at the opposite end. Finishing them, she launched three lightning imbued kunai at the wall in a large fanned spread and detonated them once they impacted against it with another quick hand seal. The dust unsettled and unsure the wall had fallen, she continued into another set of hand seals and launched a marble of lightning into it where upon impact it would erupt into a lightning storm which would fill up over half of the room as it struck and sliced whoever fell into its range.

After forming the necessary hand seals and surging her own body with Raiton and Katon Chakra to stimulate the muscles, Ao will find she has tremendously increased her [Speed] and [Control] each by 5, though at the downfall of her [Strength] and [Willpower] both losing 5 each. Additionally, Raiton will arc from her body towards anything within 25 meters of her person the bolts flying off at [50] Speed and striking with [50] Strength, the very ground also being set ablaze by her presence for the next 7 posts, rather than shocking with raitons passive.

Raiton: Electro Bomb

By forming the necessary hand seals while holding a projectile, Ao will imbue it with an influx of Raiton chakra. This chakra will remain dormant for up to five posts, in the mean time it can be detonated by the use of a singular hand seal from Ao, causing it to throw out raiton in a 5 meter radius from the projectile, spreading out at [10] Speed and striking with [50] Strength.

After forming the necessary hand seals, Ao will condense a massive amount of Raiton chakra into a marble-sized cube, launching it upwards into the air at [40] Speed. Once hitting a target or reaching maximum distance, the cube will suddenly expand, filling an entire area 100m x 100m x 100m with raiton at [30] Speed, causing [50] Strength strikes and violent shocks to anything within the area, additionally cutting according to the Fuuton passive as well for the next 7 posts.

The lightning bombs and marble tore down the vault door as if it was made of paper. Chunks of it began to break apart and fall before finally revealing the shimmering fuuinjutsu portal being prepared for the yet-to-escape VIP personnel just before it. The storm rained down on them, striking the council members and those who didn't try to take cover. Kaori ran forward and began to seal, a rune forming in her hand as she reached the edge of the technique. She touched the rune to the edge of the storm and the howling lightning was sucked into it to be used for another time or to be placed within a weapon.

She continued forward, sword drawn, to secure those who hadn't been killed by the downfall of lightning and the scrolls containing the secrets of Sungakure no Sato. As she approached, her view swept over the dozen broken and paralyzed bodies of the council members, clan leaders, and others of importance to the village laying helpless on the sandy floor. On of the ground and fallen from someone's possession laid a large scroll containing the village secrets. Kaori picked it up and secured it to her waist before calling over the comms she had secured the VIPs. She wasted no time in slitting the throats of the council members before gathering the surviving clan leaders, Hizashi and Kouseki clan leaders, over her shoulders and exiting through the tunnel the VIPs had used to get here.

Having learned how to utilize ancient runes, this user has also learned how to store and manipulate pre-existing chakra shapes. By generating the rune, the user can bring the Rune in contact with a Raiton Technique with less [Control] than the Rune was drawn with. This will absorb in the technique into the Rune, and store the chakra for a later enchantment. This can only store enough for a single Raiton enchantment and must be done multiple times for more.

Kaori exited through the tunnel leading through the Kazekage statue, some 400 meters now from the wall she had entered the area from, and continued to head directly south away from all the battlefields where she could exit the village and meet up the with main forces of Rock Country.
