Out of the Restaurant and Into the Water [Closed]

Someone had suggested heading up to the hot tub after the proprietor had told Roku he couldn’t smoke inside. Akito couldn’t quite remember who’s suggestion it had been. It had gotten incredibly chaotic inside the inn and he was in enough of a state of intoxication to be just a little fuzzy around the edges: not properly drunk, but certainly tipsy. Whoever had suggested it, their little group immediately seized on it. Not quite drunk enough to think that jumping into a hot tub in his yukata was a good idea, Akito excused himself to his room to change.

The moment he slid the door behind him, Akito shed his clothes and traded them for a pair of black and white trunks. Before heading back out, he quickly tied up his hair, splashed a bit of cool water on his face, and grabbed the remains of the bottle of sake that had brought his new acquaintances together. Back outside, bottle in hand, he headed up to the outdoor hot tub.

Akito set the bottle down on the side of the tub and slipped in. Between the warm water and the alcohol in his system, Akito could feel his whole body relax. The rooftop hot tub didn’t have quite the ambiance of the onsens back home, but the beachside atmosphere and camaraderie more than made up for it. Looking around the tub, Akito saw the people he had been drinking with: Raizou, Roku, and Ichirou, plus a new face. The stranger was a lean, white-haired man who looked to be just a bit older and taller than Akito.

Did they pick someone else up on the way here? Or maybe he was already in the tub?

Akito poured himself another cup of sake and passed the bottle to his right.

“Cheers, gentlemen,” Akito said, raising his cup, looking at each of the men in turn, and ending on the white-haired man. “And greetings to you. I am Akito Hyuuga. Please, feel free to have some of that sake.”

Walking out of the restaurant, Roku noticed he had gotten a bit of a buzz from the sake he had drank. His rillo's were still in his pocket, but damn did he have a buzz on. Not quite to the point of stumbling, he elegantly made his way down the street with the gang that had collected. Someone had mentioned that they might head to a hot tub. Aroma Country was infamous for having hot springs on the very beaches. If one didn't feel like surfing, which Roku quite enjoyed, they could always get their rocks off by taking a dip in the steamy hot springs, which Roku was even more of a fan of. The Blue Tailed Beast loved to dip his scales in the warm water and scrub them clean. He would have to refrain from scrubbing his scales with the boys, as strong of an urge as it was, he didn't want to muddy up the water.

As he walked to the hot springs with his new buddies, Roku lit up a cigarette. He frequently smoked and with the buzz of alcohol hitting him the temptation was even greater than normal. Roku lit his cigarette with a flame from his mouth. The Blue Tailed Beast had a reputation in Heart for strong skills with Water Release, but recently he had been studying more elemental styles of ninjutsu. Roku wished to be a well rounded samurai, and in his brief studies so far he picked dup on the ability to produce licks of flame from his mouth. It was an exhausting effort for him still, Roku was still learning to master all five of the elements, but he was a natural elementalist and Roku could achieve basic examples of each of the five elemental releases. He knew with practice he would become more formidable, but for now Roku was happy chilling with his buddies.

The group collected at an establishment one of them had suggested. It was called "Granny Tea's Hot Springs." Roku had seen it previously but he didn't have the time for a hot bath at the time so he had kept walking. Now with the opportunity to relax, Roku checked in with Granny Tea. The old woman was short and had on a painters smock for some reason. Roku wondered if they were renovating part of the place, but he didn't ask. He didn't want to be bothered by stupid bullshit, he wanted to enjoy his time in Aroma Country, to the max! The shark skinned man paid for his experience there and then went into a changing room to get dressed.

Inside of a scroll Roku had a pair of swimming trunks that he kept for when he was out fishing. They were blue, just a shade darker than Roku's scales, with green accents swirling around the legs like spider webs. Roku put his trunks on and wearing nothing but those and his sandals he walked out into the hot springs to dunk his body.

In the room where the hot springs were located some of the men had already gathered together. They were in the water and Roku proceeded to follow right behind them. Roku dunked his toes in the water and instantly felt relief. Despite traveling to Aroma by horse, Roku had to walk quite a bit of the way and his feet were incredibly sore. The samurai could feel sudden relief and submerged his body in further. Roku sunk into the water all the way up to his chin. He soaked up the hear of the water and floated there for a moment. The water was deep. Roku was 6'3" and his feet didn't touch the bottom. It was quite soothing to float in such hot waters. The water was at least a 110 degrees. Roku could feel the warm water massages his flesh underneath his scales. It felt soooooo good for him.

As he lay in the water floating, Roku realized he forgot the blunts he had promised the gang that he would light up. The fisherman suddenly splashed some water, his realization sort of violent. He swam over to the edge, he had floated toward the middle of the pool, and crawled out of the water. IT was cold to get out of the water so suddenly, but the room was well warmed so Roku didn't suffer too badly. "I'll be right back."[/blue] Roku said to the group, and headed back into the changing room to grab his special blunts.

Shizuo had no idea how he got here.

One moment he was in a bar, arm around a burly, bearded man as they both slurred along to a popular song, sake sloshing as they danced and swayed. In the next he was opening his eyes, starign up since the back of his head was propped against the edge of a tub. A hot tub, by the feel of things. The man had no idea where his clothes were, and he could only hope his wallet was safely tucked somewhere with his shirt and pants. It had been a while since he was robbed by some opportunist, but every time it happened had sucked. He almost closed his eyes again but his new company's introduction made his eyes snap open and he immediately sobered up. Somewhat.

"Hyuuga? Hyuuga?" Shizuo groaned, rubbing his head in an effort to clear it. If he was almost anywhere else he'd have seriously considered obtaining a new pair of cool eyes. But the jounin enjoyed being alive so he tried not to dwell on the thought too much. After pinching the bridge of his nose for a moment he looked to Akito and smiled. "Komiya Shizuo. And thanks, I'll need a drink." Shizuo downed the last of his drink and waited for the bottle to come his way to refill it, and he added "It's not every day I get to meet a Hyuuga in friendly circumstances."
