[Mission] Gangland

Touu and Negaigoto had traveled to the land of fire for two reasons: to dismantle an opposing organization that was dedicated to leaving their taint upon this world and to protect a group that they felt they shares a vision with, a group of people trying to make the world a better place.

The two missing-nin were headed through the forest now, and dirt paths were becoming few and far between. The men would eventually have to head into the forest and jump from tree to tree, as the ground was becoming too rough to walk upon. They were about a mile now from an area in this forest where the gang was suspected to hang out at: a large glade where a makeshift campsite had been rigged. The two had some time to prepare themselves, discuss the mission, evaluate what they saw upon arrival, and prepare a strategy.

Touu hopped slowly from tree branch to tree branch, taking his time to approach the place. As he did he talked with Yoho, trying to formulate a plan for taking out the thugs.

"From what I hear only one of these guys have ninja training...the rest are just common military, which aren't a problem. I'd like to use my Ame jutsu, but I know you use katon, so I won't if it will impede you too much." Touu was being very tactful about the upcoming battle. It reminded him of being a hunter nin, and he rather enjoyed it to be honest. Hunting down scum like this was part of the reason he left.

Yoho jumped a bit faster than his partner but when he saw Touu slow down then he did it to. He listened to what he had to say

“ Touu, Katon is not my main chakra affinity. Fuuton is my main so I am fine with it, unless you aim it at me ”

He tried to joke. He knew that they where getting closer to their camp so he wanted to get a plan up

“ So what‘s the plan? We aren’t just going to jump in the middle of their camp? Because it does not matter to me ”

After dashing through the dense forest for the better part of the next hour steadily traveling higher, they at last arrived at a lookout point in a crop of rocks overlooking the bandit's glade that was heavily shaded and well-covered but had several small looking holes peeking through the brush where the two missing-nin could scout out the campsite without being detected. The sun would be setting shortly, so the two would have to take the night into their considerations - Below them, the glade expanded out in a ring of activity.

On all corners of the glade were crude torches set on stilts that illuminated the far reaches of the clearing with a warm flickering light. Guards were stationed at consistent intervals around the glade as well, one standing between two torches here, with two pairs of torches unattended followed by another guard. These guards were simply dressed in furs and animal hides and didn't appear to be too experienced; however, they were filthy and nasty looking and carried broad, crescent bladed axes on their backs or in their meaty fists. They had dark skin, narrow eyes and thick stubble, and their powerful muscles bulged against their makeshift cloaks.

In the center of the glade was a large colorful four-cornered tent, the sides of which were draped in thick rugs with various patterns. No entranceway could be seen from the shinobi's position, so it must be around the other side. A ring of guards were stationed outside of the tent, holding spears and whistles and carrying unlit torches of their own which would soon be fueled and set ablaze after the sky had darkened more. In the center of the glade, between the central tent and the outer ring of torches, smaller tents and stands were set up where men slept, cooked food on sizzling spits, or played cards with loud laughter or violent protests of anger.

Overall the camp looked to be well organized and well guarded, but only one man had any shinobi training, so the mission shouldn't be too difficult.

Touu arrived with his partner and immediately began to look through the peeking holes, but made sure to stay quiet. "Alright, I'll make it rain first. My plan is to 'stage' an attack. Their boss is most likely in the center tent. We can henge into the uniform of the guards. I'll run in screaming to their boss about an attack. He'll think I'm one of his lackeys and when his back is turned I'll kill him. If anything goes wrong I'll contact you with Dentatsu. How's that sound?"

Yoho looked at Touu first and then down at the camp. He first thought that that idea was bad because his partner would be inside the enemy camp but after awhile Yoho changed his mind.

“ Just don‘t get killed ok! ”

Yoho took another quick peep at the camp; he then looked back at Touu and gave him a thumb up

A final quick glance would reveal the camp to be in much the same state, but as the atmosphere darkened and chilled with the dusk, the guards that ringed the central tent lit their toches, casting shadows on their disheveled faces that made them look like emissaries of Death itself.

A final headcount would reveal the following information.
Out Ring of Guards: 8
Guards Around Tent: 4 (In sight)
Center Circle: About 30 men.

Touu took a deep breath and said, "Alright, here we go." He immediately made a string of hand seals and when he finished, clouds began to swarm on the already dark atmosphere. Touu then made another string of hand seals and in a poof of smoke his appearance changed. He was clothed in similar furs and hides as the guards. His skin was now dark and his build was bulkier to match the appearance of the guards. He also looked downright filthy. Rain drops began to fall, followed by a down pour. 'The reduced visibility should help.'

Touu then put some ice over his shoulder, and took out a kunai to cut himself on the cheek, giving himself the appearance as if he'd just been in a fight. He then ran through one of the two unattended torches shouting, "Boss! Boss!" Hopefully he would make it through to the center tent.

Yoho looked at his partner change appearance. He knew that he had to wait for his partner to call for help or come back if he successfully assassinated the leader. Therefore, he sat down, meditated, and hoped that he would not take to much time.

Touu should be reaching the boss about…. Now

Kitsui, don't control the enemies like that. They wouldn't move to inspect Touu unless I had them do so, so by you controlling someone other than yourself that's unfair.))

The guards at the outer ring reacted with suspicion as a man ran through the darkness and converged to cut Touu off, but seemed inviting when they the way he was dressed and that he was injured. "An attack?? Alright, go get your face mopped up and report to the captain, I'll alert the inner guard," grunted a gruff-looking guard a good foot taller than Touu. He ran towards the central tent while one of the other men grabbed Touu's shoulder firmly and said, "Oi, lemmee get you to the doctor, ya can't fight with blood in your face," and tried to pull him towards a tent in the center of the clearing, halfway between the outer torches and the main tent.

'I'm in', was what Touu thought as the bandits gave him orders as if he was one of their own. Another one pulled at his shoulder to go see a doctor, and he followed along. "You're right, I'm not any good with this thing dripping", he agreed. After that he'd get to meet their 'captain' who was most likely the ninja him and Yoho were after. 'Just sit tight a little longer Yoho...this will be done in no time.'

Yoho heard what Touu said through their jutsu. He now knew that the action would start. He slowly stood up; he slowly turned around and looked at the camp.

Don‘t do it to sloppy ok, I will be waiting for your command

Yoho held one hand on his hip; he lifted his right hand and pointed at the camp. He slowly closed his left eye

The rugged man led Touu to a small drab olive-green tent a short distance outside of the tents of the crude men. It was surrounded by a ring of intimidating looking guards - it appeared that this was the second most important place in the camp. The man who led Touu ducked and pulled the flap of the tent to the side, invoking a ray of warm lamplight into the darkening night. Within the tent, a young man in a white robe was seated on a plastic crate, reading a thick medical tome. As a gust of chill wind rolled through the camp, the torches flickered, and the young man looked up. He had a small face, awkward ears, and wore thin wire-rimmed glasses - his black hair was curly and soft and his eyes were intelligent and friendly. He existed in stark contrast to the other men in this camp, and set his book down on the ground, smiling at Touu, showing his clean, straight teeth - another thing that separated him from the others.

"Why hello there! Come in, come in, do sit down. Thank you Keiji, you're dismissed." The guard who had escorted Touu gave him an exasperated look as if to say "Good luck" and dropped the flap of the tent as he exited the cramped quarters.

"My name is Hikaru. I'm a hired doct-well, nurse technically, but I assure you I'm quite capable!" He chuckled as he extended a thin arm to a crate across from the one he'd been sitting on previously. "Please, please, sit down. That's a nasty wound there on your face. I do hope you're not in too much pain. I've got a local anesthetic that should numb your face up. It looks like it'll need stitches." He turned to a wooden ledge behind the crate and busied himself with a teacup, waiting for Touu to sit.

"Tea?" he asked with a kind smile, offering a clean mug to Touu.

Touu entered the small tent, but got a little worried when Keiji gave him that look. 'What's this guy gonna do?', he thought. Touu took a seat, and when the man mentioned stitches he said, "I don't think stitches are necessary. Stuff like this is no problem, it'll heal right up. Gimme some of that anes-whatever ya call it and I'll be on my way. The enemy will be here any second." Touu tried not to sound too smart when he spoke to blend in with the other thugs at the camp. He then waved his hand at the tea, dismissing the medics offer.

Yoho layd down on the grass and looked at the sky in waiting of his partner who seemed to take to long time. i wonder what is taking so much time? i should try to contact him What is taking such time Touu he asked his partner

The teacup began to rattle in Hikaru's hand and he slowly turned. His expression was no longer one of kindness but one of startling intensity.

"You. Need. Medical. Attention. I...insist." He gave Touu a hard look, clearly taking this much more seriously than he did. After a moment, he blinked his eyes and the severity etched into his features was eased away by some new hint of human nature. He shook his head slowly as if waking up from a bad dream.

"I...I'm sorry...I don't know what came over me...Did you say...there's an enemy coming??" The young man looked mortified and the teacup in his hand began to rattle once more, this time due to fear. "We'd better get you fixed up then. Here, I'll first give you something for the pain and then I'll give you a dose of Drive for the battle. This won't hurt much." He withdrew a needle from his medical kit and made a gesture for Touu to present his bicep.

This medic was odd. After refusing the stitches, he gave Touu a look that made Touu worry. He didn't want to have to kill someone before getting to the boss. However, his anger subsided and now he wanted to give Touu a shot. While it seemed that these believed his rouse, he couldn't be sure that this wasn't something that'd kill him or knock him unconcious. But how could he refuse it without rousing suspicion. He didn't want to kill anybody yet, but he had no choice. He didn't want whatever was in that needle inside him. The tent was empty so if he could just keep the man quiet as he did it...

"Hey, don't tell anybody this, but I kinda have this thing with needles. You mind if I just squeeze your hand while you do this, it helps me a bit. But don't tell anybody alright!"

Touu would then extend his hand to grab the man's hand, and then his bicep for the needle. However when the man came at him with the needle, he would smack it away with his free hand. He would then push the man forward and get behind him, pulling his arm around him to restrain him. If this work Touu would put his free hand over the man's mouth to keep him queit. He would then try and freeze the man's head, killing him. The man was just a medic, so Touu believed it shouldn't pose a problem. He'd done tougher things to fully trained ninja.

Hadazawari Hiebie[Touch of Cold]
A jutsu Touu developed after seeing the Hyouketsu jutsu and thought it was limited. By imbuing his ice chakra into an object Touu can freeze it. This is easily done on water or another liquid, or something that contains some sort of liquid, such as a person. The difficulty, as well as the amount of chakra needed, rises with the lower the temperature needed to freeze the object in question as well as the size of the object.

The nurse smiled smugly at Touu's display of "weakness". It appeared that he enjoyed the thought of, for the first time, being a bit more brave then one of the men he'd gotten himself involved with.

"Of course. I won't tell. It won't hurt, but I've had a lot of patients who were af-" he couldn't finish, because at that point, Touu smacked the needle away. Before he got the chance to protest, Touu had restrained him. With almost inhuman strength, he began to struggle, jerking his body from side to side, trying to shake Touu loose. His voice seemed to take on a lower, more aggressive quality as he roared "LET GO! Fortunately, despite his heightened strength (probably as a result of the medicine he'd been attempting to give Touu), Touu was able to keep his grip long enough to encase the man's head in a block of ice. A surprised look came over the young man's face, and that expression was frozen as the body went limb and crashed to the floor.

Touu let the man down gently so that it wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. Well, that was one down for his mission, but he had a lot left to go. Touu sighed in relief that no one entered the tent when the nurse screamed. He'd really hadn't done something like this in a while. Touu exited the tent and immediately made his way for the colorful tent in the middle of the camp. The leader would most likely reside inside of the fanciest tent, not to mention it was in the middle of everything. It's not unlike a leader to want to be in the middle of his followers. Touu went under the flap of the colorful tent and shouted, "Boss! There's some guys attackin' the camp!"

As Touu neared the flap to the tent, which was actually an expensive-looking rug evidently draped over some internal frame, the two guards on either side crossed their weapons in an X in front of the missing-nin, wearing incredulous expressions. "Oi, you lookin' to get yourself killed? You should know that nobody's allowed inside without an invitation, and since we're at red alert," the guard spat to show his disgust, "ANOTHER thing you should have known, you'd have to be out of your mind to think we'd let you in. Now," he pointed to the outer ring, where a formation of guards had taken their places with torches and axes held high, "Go stand watch." the cruel eyes that looked into Touu's were that of a man who was used to having has way and throwing his weight around often. He wasn't about to let Touu in without a good reason.

Touu's progress was halted by the large guards outside of the tent. He could easily kill the two, but that would attract unneeded attention. He had to try and convince them to let him in.

"I know that, but I gotta tell the boss about the enemy. He aint no normal guy. Now lemme through", Touu said trying to dumb down his speech a bit to blend in. He had a bad feeling however. People like the one standing in front of him were used to having their way. He doubted just saying he knew something would let him through, so Touu decided to add something to what he said.

"But hey, when the boss isn't as ready for what's happennin' and he finds out it was your fault that he didn't get the info...hey, good luck man. I'm sure you can deal with the boss no problem." Touu tried to intimidate the man a bit using their leader, who was undoubtedly a lot stronger than him.
