The sun had gradually drooped to some degree by the time a young sleepy figure was close enough to his destination to notice. It wasn't getting darker but it sure wasn't getting lighter. In fact the shadows seemed to stretch and bend with the new position of the sun, which in some ways eased the tension the young Nara in question felt about this whole team thing. It just wasn't that fun. Probably because he didn't want it to be fun.
It took Shikatsu a while but he was finally close enough to the chosen restaurant to actually see it. Casually strolling along with his hands in his jacket's pockets the young Nara found himself constantly pondering the current social situation he was in. Much to his own annoyance. Stopping all of a sudden the genin took in a deep breath before releasing it into a quiet sigh marking the beginning of his internal conflict and complaining.
Hmph... I actually missed a nap for these guys and they don't even bother to wait up for me. Eurgh, I guess its my fault for being all quiet while they hit it off straight away. I don't even want to go in there. But I can't take this guilt forever. Bah, thinking about all this is just a pain.
Raising his hands from their comfortable pockets to let out a simple stretch and yawn the black-haired boy began to take a few steps forward towards the restaurant. No doubt those two were already there. With a bit of luck they could have already le- Nope, no chance. Shikatsu's father had told him about this place. Apparently all the Akimichi are huge fans of it. They were surely still here. Damn barbecues.
And so he slowly pushed against the door handle and raised his head whilst entering to scout for his new team mates.

He has taken the time to slow down, but dammit the ungrateful Nara wasn't speeding up his pace. In Kowai's mind, their target only got farther and farther out of view as they slowly got closer. Considering Kowai was one for the theatrics, his hunger only grew to more epically exaggerated proportions. This was much more than a social dining experience ahead of them, it was a much needed trip for sustenance, the very life giving fuel that a human needed in order to survive. This need of Kowai's was a strange thought, as Kowai had just eaten around ten minutes before.
Despite he slowed pace, he had lost sight of the Nara, and [should have] cursed under his breath, "Screw you then!" He shouted, at nobody or so it appeared. He wasn't even willing to wait for Inoki, with the doors insight he gained a bit of speed, like some lion which had just put its sight on a lone gazelle. With the smoke of the barbecue greeting his nose, his mouth began to water and he was in. With great passion he opened the door into the eatery, as if he had just returned home from a long and bloody war, glad to see his family once more.
Kowai's eyes began to tear up, as the overemotional lug was overwhelmed by his overemotions. His mouth swung open, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." He sighed joyfully as the scent of freshly prepared food floated through the air lifting him into a world of ecstasy. The other two teammates were now gone, or at least from Kowai's thoughts. He had to get himself something to eat, and fast, the other two be damned. It was the little things that got Kowai back into reality; the creek of the opening door.
He nearly snapped his neck as he quickly looked back. He remembered everything, the two teammates, the fact that this was a team experience. Kowai was nothing more than an animal, and he was ashamed of himself, but he wasn't going to show it. With the entrance of his Nara friend, Kowai raised an eyebrow, "Oh, you were behind us?" He managed to blubber out, "I... I could have sworn you rushed on ahead." He stumbled over his words a bit, making his lie just fall flat.

Inoki's attitude as he stepped behind the Nara was something to be absolutely feared...In fact, as soon as the Nara stepped inside, the blond's mane of hair was visible behind him. Inoki had taken a bit longer then his teammates to get here, mostly because he'd been spending a little time looking for them, but it had been mostly his wish to just be slow about it and let the bastards pay for their own food, if they even showed up. Of course by the time he got there, the three were in each other's paths again. The staff of the place seemed thrilled to see Kowai and at least two servers were visible bickering over who would get to serve the table, knowing that an Akimichi would be about the best pay they'd have all month, hell, all year.
The Nara would feel Inoki's presence before he'd see it as the Yamanaka walked in behind him him, a visible air of annoyance circling around him as the young man stepped beside him, a few fingers twitching. While he couldn't particularly get -pissed- at the other two, he was well within his rights to be annoyed by this entire situation. His first real team and they'd already identified the problems between the three of them: Lazy, uninterested Naras mixed with Energetic but food-crazy Akimichis topped with bitchy, easily irritated Yamanaks perfectly reasonable and understanding Yamanakas. He walked past the Nara and motioned for the man to follow him.
And once he was in front of Kowai, he looked up at him with a tiny bit of a glare in his eyes and rose Akbar up, an odd glint of metal- Oh Jesus christ the Puppet had a kunai in it's mouth, murderous Puppet!!!
"Kowai...Please pick a seat." the boy said, moving the puppet in time. It had a kunai in it's mouth, held there by a finger but it rather looked like the puppet was ready to use the damn thing and not the person manipulating it. Inoki's glare was a little unsettling because he was glaring without opening his eyes. Actually, he had performed the entire scene without opening them an inch at all. He was projecting anger through his eyelids. That was impressive. "I'll pay." the Yamanaka said suddenly, startling the air around him and his eyes seemed to open a small peek, threatening to reveal the gaze of the young man to those he wished to direct it at. The way he kept his eyes closed almost made one suspect that he was going to turn them to stone if he gazed directly at them.
"Shikatsu, please come join us at the table..." the man added, glancing over his shoulder at the Nara and directing that quietly annoyed gaze-through-the-eyelids at the Nara as well...

Entering the restaurant the same tired look was present on the slow coach's face. Shikatsu stood through Kowai's joke as it fell flat before him. Inside he felt for the guy, he was probably just trying to break the ice. But the young Nara couldn't muster up the enthusiasm to let him down in a friendly manner. It was a shame really, it could have been good if he didn't mess around so much in the delivery.
Once inside though Shikatsu felt something behind him. Something which dragged away the comfort of his laid-back personality and left him feeling bare naked. Instantly reaching up to his hair and rubbing it contently as if to ease himself of the forced stress the young blacked hair man slide in a bit more as if to avoid coming into contact with Inoki as he passed.
Then the young clan member noticed the murderous intent of the weird puppet he had on his hand. A kunai in it's mouth? This guy was either mentally handicapped or a genius to pull off so much terror through a child's toy. There was nothing Shikatsu could do but bow his head slightly and move onto the designated seat.
In all though his tired looking face and constantly relaxed exterior didn't fall victim to it. Despite feeling a slight sense of fear towards this sudden strange and strong invasion of a simple restaurant at the hands of a Yamanaka, Shikatsu's physical entity couldn't summon the effort to display a simple emotion. Quite funny how his lazyness granted him some sort of defence whilst also leaving him advantage to awkward social situations.

Kowai was beginning to sense some foul play from the puppet; perhaps it was some kind of parasitic monster using Inoki as its voice, and only as its voice. This was bad, very bad, and made worse with the fact that the puppet was willing to kill. His eyes met with the cold beaded eyes of the sock puppet. He took a deep gulp, just feeling the murderous intent coming from the beast which had consumed Inoki's hand. The puppet looked pretty serious, and Kowai didn't exactly know how to combat it without harming Inoki, so it was best to simply comply by the demands which the parasitic monster had made.
Lives were on the line, he had to act carefully. Kowai nodded, and gulped, he slowly and carefully walked towards one of the tables, trying his best to inconspicuous, which he was failing at, as his hands were raised, and he was sweating bullets. This was a serious hostage situation, the host was displaying the anger in which the master was feeling, somebody was going to die, and Kowai was the only capable of saving them. Kowai remembered this scenario from many a pulp horror story, he was the one who had his shit together, and he was going to save everyone.
On the other hand, the Nara had black hair, and the ones with black hair were always the first to go. While the Nara looked calm, cool, and collected, Kowai had a feeling he was panicking on the inside. Just as well, Kowai was doing plenty of panicking on the outside to make up for it all. The awkward silence had returned as Kowai was just sitting there, sweating, and breathing uneasily, he was ready for the puppet to spring into action with whatever dark arts it possessed. His eyes shiftily switched between the Nara and Inoki, showing his fear and distrust, 'Someone say something, for the love of Buddha! We must appease the puppet... We must appease it for the for our own sakes... I'm too young to die!' The poor young Aikimichi thought as he trembled on the outside.

Inoki was a happy kid most times, but he was annoyed. No, no, he was angry. This team was supposed to work! His father didn't have to go through this shit, ohhh no. His father...Well actually his father never talked about his generation of Ino-Shika-Chou. He said he was a good team and that he'd learn about his teammates properly in time. So maybe there had been these bumps in the road on his father's team too...Maybe he should open his heart to the possibility of them working well together without the need for the iron fist of Yamanaka reigning down upon them! Or in this case, the iron Sock Puppet of Yamanaka. He had to open his heart to his teammates and embrace their differences and peculiarities, he had to be...
Annoyed with them both and get them into gear, that's what!
Kowai's pace was improving, but his nervousness was getting a bit annoying and as he moved to the seat, Inoki turned around slowly to face Shikatsu. The picture that was painted on his face was not a particularly good one. His left eyebrow was twitching. There was a crease on his forehead, a vein, his jaw was tightened and the puppet was swaying from side to side slowly, powered by the force of anger and it looked somewhat like it was shaking too. He was either about to explode literally or metaphorically. These two had to be the most frustrating pair he'd ever met. Neither one could take anything seriously and both were being so...Slow..
And he finally broke down. He slumped over and sighed, reaching up to put his hand over his face. These two were going to give him an ulcer, but he never said it out loud. Instead he just used his puppet to wave Shikatsu over to the table that Kowai was inching towards. To Kowai, it might look as if the puppet had finally broken his hold over the young man. In fact, Inoki even pocketed the kunai in his hand as he slumpily walked over to the table, past Kowai, and pulled one of the chairs out on the front of it, sitting down in it. "Come on you two...Any more time wasted and they might throw us out." he said, sighing aloud and putting his forehead to the table. The puppet, of course, moved with his lips to speak.
