It was raining yet again but Uyeda wasn't going to let that stop him. His early morning smirk turned into a full fledged smile as he dashed from his upstairs apartment taking several steps in one go as he rushed for a vacant place to train. He had planned to train a few taijutsu maneuvers in the hopes that he would be able to impress the new leader of their team.

He had heard that the guy was young just a few years older than he was. It was quite inspiring and that thought alone made a fire boil in him, and made this weeks training all that more intense. He finally made it to the bottom of the stairs and had a near collision with a woman carrying a bag of groceries.

"Apologies miss, I am in a hurry!" He managed a quick bow, then burst through the door. The street was a muddy walkway, yet the rain was starting to slow, this fact mattered not to Uyeda as he made a full sprint to the training area. Once there the boy pulled out a bottle of water and took a large sip. He would need to stay hydrated for this.

The training ground was vacant, so he could do all of this in secret, truthfully he wondered what his teammates were up to. He hoped they were training as hard as he was. For his first training session Uyeda walked over to a shed and grabbed out three dummies. He was going to need them for this technique. These particular dummies were something that Uyeda had invented (patent pending) they were posable and life sized. Uyeda had always like training with them because they were weighted; this allowed him to train as though he was fighting people of varying weight classes. At present he could throw someone that weighed over three hundred pounds.

The young man set up the dummies in varying stances, wanting to try approaching the dummies from different angels. Uyeda focused on the first of the three targets he had set up. It was facing him and would likely be the easiest to accomplish. With a dash the boy launched him self at the target and then in a swift motion the boy kick the target into the air and followed in for a second with his eyes gauging it trajectory. A mere second later he was beneath it. He grabbed ahold of the dummy and then turned with a slight twisting of his torso forming a quasi-somersault in midair, to land on his feet. He slid for about three feet and then came to a halt.

Uyeda set the first dummy down, getting back to his feet long enough to study the other dummy before he lunged at that one. This time the dummies back was too him and he would need to close the distance and then position himself in front for a solid kick to the chin. Soon after the boy was in mid run and decided to dash left and circle around his target closely on the right. Soon the target was in the air, floating high about Uyeda, and without fail Uyeda positioned himself right below the dummy and in the same somersault motion he brought the dummy down with little effort.

Uyeda felt that there was more to this technique then was shown on the maneuvers surface. He could only envision the possibilities that this technique could offer. With two of his dummies out of commission he focused on the one still standing. It was posed in a movement scenario, as if it was running towards him. He dashed, running full throttle at the dummy, but then he changed course. He needed this to be spontaneous. He came back around and uppercut the dummy and then launched into the aforementioned kick that sent it flying into the sky.

It soared into the air, and Uyeda followed it in its entirety. Grabbing it and holding it close as he had done the others Uyeda tucked and twisted, into his signature somersault and landed feet first, sliding back from the added weight of the dummy. With his feet planted he finally laid the dummy next to the others and brushed himself off. "That was easy enough, but I should probably do it again to make sure I've got it down!" Uyeda had been serious that whole time, but that was how he had always been for as long as he could remember. The jutsu in question had been dubbed Leaf Shadow Dance and was designed to get the target airborne and then shadow their body in mid flight, the applications were just up to Uyeda's imagination, though there was a maneuver or two that Uyeda could learn that would give him an edge in combat.

Uyeda set up his dummies yet again this time he did them in ascending order. He went after the one that required him to be quick. At times he may have to chase down an opponent, and this technique could push them back to awaiting teammates. Uyeda sent the dummy flying and again caught it in mid air. The second was no different, though this one weighed quite a bit more than the others and taxed his muscles, (in a good way) making him place more behind his kick. The dummy ended up in Uyeda's arms and the made it to the ground safe and sound. With his last attempt Uyeda moved to the north, placing his foot directly beneath the dummies chin. When the dummy soared, Uyeda let it last for a few seconds, then he was in the air behind it, grabbing it and leading it to the ground.

Uyeda felt a sense of pride and had to laugh at what he had done, he was truly great at taijutsu, but he would need to diversify if he wanted to stay ahead of the game.

A technique focused on putting the opponent in a vulnerable position in the air, it begins with the user quickly placing themselves below the target. Once in position, the user will use a swift high kick to launch their target into the air. The user will then jump into the air to "shadow" the target with the target's back to their chest. This technique is a set up for the Lion Combo technique.

Uyeda placed his dummies in a circle around him, this next technique would require him to be on the ground. He dropped to the ground as if he had been knocked prone and then using a maneuver known as 'Spin' launched in to a whirlpool-esque spin, that was designed to knock back several attackers. This swift spin sent them all back. However Uyeda was slightly unsatisfied with the outcome. They went back, but not far and they sort of toppled instead of the intended pushback. Uyeda set up his dummies yet again and to his triumph he succeeded in expelling the threat, and managed to get to his feet with little effort as well.

Setting his dummies off to the side Uyeda proceeded to three grab launchers from the nearby shed. He set them up so that the practice weaponry would strike with devastating accuracy as well as cause some serious bruising if they hit their mark. Uyeda always trained with the thought of actually combat in mind. Holding a string the boy yanked on it, and after a few moments dropped and began to spin. He knocked away one and took a heavy softball sized orb to his tailbone and not to the lower back.

He moved to quickly and was already to his feet after only deflecting one of the orbs shot by the launchers. He was definitely going to be sore now, though the thought made him smile. He had worked hard and it was going to pay off. He reset the cannons and fired them yet again not anticipating the collision, this time he just focused on the amount of projectiles, and kicked them away one by one. He kept up the spin and yanked on the cord again until there were no projectiles left. He had been hit a total of six times. He had shot well over fifteen shots so he felt it had been a victory.

Wanting to take his lessons to the next level Uyeda grabbed two of his dummies and kept the same amount of launchers. He set them up so that his launchers wouldn't target the dummies initially. With everything all in order the young laid on his back and pulled the cord releasing the projectiles. The projectiles flew with true accuracy and threatened to bludgeon the young genin. He soon found himself in a whirlwind of a spin knocking back not only the dummies but the projectiles as well.

Uyeda chuckled, he was meticulous in his efforts for perfection and added the remaining dummies to the mix. It was a intriguing to watch, Uyeda fired off everything and waited the milliseconds that it took for it all to converge on his position. Without the slightest hesitation the boy spun with such force that it repelled all that came near him. When the dust cloud cleared Uyeda was standing with three human sized dummies and three kunai scattered around him. He congratulated himself, and walked picking up his dummies and propped them up against the shed. He may need them later and he didn't want them to be in the way for his next training maneuver.

Utilized when the user is vulnerable on the ground, this technique allows him/her to get up easily while expelling nearby weapons and people. To perform Spin, the user swings their legs around above them, causing them to spin around. This subsequently knocks away the objects and people in their proximity at a strength equal to the user's while allowing the user to get to get up.

A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face, he had been at his training now for a few hours. But there was no time to rest. If he wanted to be the best he was going to have to learn all he could. Uyeda had been quietly studying some techniques while he was in the academy. Whist there he had learned about a style called Totem. During his time there however he was unable to train said techniques and when he finally graduated he began learning all he could about the style.

It was still early by the time he began training with the wooden dummy in the middle of the field, bobbing and weaving in and out striking with precision. The dummy rotated striking the young Genin in the face. Uyeda recovered quickly and waltzed back up to the dummy in the required stance leading with a foot strike down low and then bring his arms in front of his body in an X formation. He side stepped and then placed quick jab to the neck. He stepped left this time, and the dummy rotated once again. This time Uyeda was ready, he had his guard planted, catching the spinning arm in an awaiting palm. His arm thrust out and his snake-like hand proceeded to eye gouge the dummy.

He stepped right, continuing his movements. The rotation was getting faster, not because the dummy was speeding up but because Uyeda was. He moved swiftly, switching his stance yet again and placed a neck jab right where it needed to be. He maneuvered himself around the dummy planting a secondary stroke at the dummies groin. He continued through this rotation for what seemed like an hour. Then something surprising happened, he felt a sharp pain on the side of his head and was sent back a few feet.

He shook his head and looked at the dummy, trying to focus through the pain. ["Dammit keep your guard up Uyeda!"] He told himself as soon as he realized what happened. The dummy had clocked him really leaving a slight abrasion where blood leaked from slowly. Uyeda walked up to the dummy and planted himself in front of it, forming into the stance proper stance. He began slowly, making sure to keep his guard fully intact during his practice. He struck the dummy in the groin, the neck, eyes, and the armpit. Uyeda made sure to strike all of those points at least twenty five times. His hands met each point with surprising precision, and he made sure to speed up as he went along. When the dummy swung he was ready each time, keeping the pain that he had felt earlier as a reminder of what could happen when you didn't pay attention to your opponent. However he could end up dead instead of with a minor headache.

He had finally completed the maneuver, and with that he walked over and grabbed a drink of water. As he turned to the dummy he bowed, ["color=#3d9]"You have been a worthy opponent!"[/color] Uyeda took one last swig of water and then walked back ionto place he had more to do and if didn't feel like he had much time.

The technique for this form involves many quick jabs to weak spots like the eyes, in between the ribs, the gut, and last but not least, the groin of the opponent. These jabs are done by putting the thumb to the underside of index and middle finger, the formation of the fingers resembling a snake's head. These jabs are good for slowing, distracting, and weakening an opponent, especially if they manage to strike any of the aforementioned places.

Uyeda was ready to start another round after stopping briefly for lunch, after all he was a growing boy with a high metabolism and a healthy appetite. He made his way over to a wooden wall that was off to the side of the training ground. planting his hands firmly on the ground the boy began to kick the wall as a mule would.

From here he would practice the technique so as not to fall over, and fall over he did several times. However he still kick at the wall. His goal was to dent the wall, however if he could break it that would be an even better accomplishment. In an hours time the boy was back on his feet rolling his shoulders and preparing to start his training anew.

This time however he would get a running start and then perform the kick, he needed to see how the technique performed under pressure. His first several attempts were a disaster. He placed his hands wrong in the dirt and almost sprained his wrist. His next attempt put him too close to the wall and his kick had no power behind it.

He shook off the mishaps with a shrug and a smile and kicked outward at the wall. His kick landed hard and he could feel the wall give just a little. The strength behind his blows were quite hefty due to his size. He placed another kick and another. He would have benefited from someone running at him but this would have to do.

Whenever he messed up he would perform several kicks from a stationary position, not as a punishment but to judge the distance he needed for his kicks to work. He had the power he just needed to be able to gauge the distance perfectly every time. Doing this in combat would not be without its challenges but Uyeda felt that he was up to them nonetheless.

He powered through the technique landing most of the kick that he had done, but there was still one problem, and that was accuracy. he wasn't putting the kicks where they counted or where they would apply the most damage. He needed to be more conscious of his foot placement, which meant he needed to multitask a bit.

Hitting them was one thing, placing his feet in the right area to cause the most damage was another obstacle that Uyeda would have to circumvent. Looking at the wooden surface Uyeda could definitely see some wear from the many areas that he had been kicking. He noticed that he was of to the left a bit, probably because he was pushing up with his right hand more, because it was his dominant hand. He decided to push off with his left hand more, and low and behold it worked. The boy his dead center each time and he made sure by doing a series of twenty five kicks in a row. Then he ran at the barricade and kicked out with all his might, landing the kick again dead center, and while it didn't break completely, Uyeda snapped the wood slightly leaving a crease that easily be seen.

He walked over to the shed and grabbed a new plank, placing it in the channels he clasped his hands together satisfied with his training thus far.

D-Rank Taijutsu
The mule formation consists of a very strong and simple kick to the chest. This kick is done by flipping around and literally mule kicking the opponent in the chest with both feet (hands would be on the ground). It is primarily used to not only cause significant damage, but also send the opponent flying back. The strength of the kick depends on the user's strength
