Chewing on the inside of her cheek, Rai walked absentmindedly towards Mamorinuku’s HQ, mission folder in hand. She hadn’t been expecting a mission, especially not one that would take her and Kawa out of the village. And especially not one that seemed to involve a giant summon that no one had any control over.

Great.

She had heard a little bit about the creature from Kazuo who had been involved in a mission with the beast prior to this. He and another member, Aina, had done the best they could but had been unable to slay the giant and apparently un-nameable creature. So now she and Kawa got to go give it a shot...she wished she could be more excited about this.

Pushing the door open with her shoulder, the dogs plodding in first, Rai called out. " Kawa! We’ve got a mission. They want us to go after the thing Kazuo and Aina tried to deal with and couldn’t. "

Without bothering to look up, she kept reading the mission details, figuring it wouldn’t be long before Kawa appeared and took charge. The man had an ego that was bigger than whatever it was they were after.
