Several months had passed since Takeo had made the decision to date the young Bannin, Aina of the Hyuuga clan. In that time his life had seemed to take a monumental leap forward as if all of the pieces he had been missing had suddenly been clicking into place. He was on the verge of being announced Konoha’s 17th Hokage and had reunited with the spirits of the forests, his body was honed to a level beyond imagination and Anbu, the most elite organization of shinobi the country had to offer was his to command. Most importantly however was the woman he had been growing to love and the adopted child his girlfriend had taken in, a girl whom it seemed inevitable that he would soon be able to consider his own daughter, Aina had even convinced him into adopting another, a boy, also of the Hyuuga clan. Of course he realized that his input was more of a courtesy than anything though he wished to solidify their relationship to the level of truly making such decisions together. It was an odd sensation knowing that he committed himself to a relationship that would result in him being a father to two children not of his own blood and yet he hadn’t regretted the decision for a moment, instead longing for it as well as the idea of one day having a child of their own together.

On this day in particular Takeo reveled in his good fortunes, excitement radiated from his being in the form of a near constant smile or grin as he and Aina raced through the forests. Neither were going at their top speed yet the sensation of moving alongside his girlfriend at speeds that would make lightning jealous was a remarkable elation in itself. The only other person he had ever trained alongside whom could exceed his speed was Yoru himself, The Bannin whom literally made a habit of encasing himself in lightning to bolster his speed. The two weren’t outside the village walls for a matter of a simple race however, not today, rather Aina had finally agreed to train with the man at a level befitting a Kage. He longed to display what he was capable of and in turn unleash Aina’s own remarkable aptitude. While he knew she would likely still refrain from coming at him with lethal intent he hoped to push both of their boundaries and help raise own another to a new level by the end of the day.

After only half an hour of travel the pair had spanned nearly 50 kilometres of forests and fields, finding themselves deep into North Western Fire Country. Emerging from a thicket of trees Takeo led them into what seemed to be yet another typical clearing. It would shortly become obvious however that the terrain here was anything but typical for Fire Country. “Close your eyes” he stated softly, “I want to show you something” He slipped his hand into hers as he moved out of the trees. While grass and flowers grew across the ground about 30 meters out began a massive canyon. The sound of running water could be heard as they approached the edge. Standing at the apex with the cavern splitting open and spreading in width before them one could feel the air shift as the breeze from within the cavern flowed upwards, to a keen nose bringing with it the scent of crisp water and a variety of rare wildflowers. The cavern spread nearly 50 meters apart at its widest point and 40 meters deep. The length of it stretched for over a mile and at the far end it widened into a more circular quarry of sorts. A large stream flowed through the center of the crevice, about 5 meters wide, though the sides especially at either end were lush with greenery and plant-life. “Alright, open” he stated, smiling as he glanced over at her, the sun shining down on them from high in the sky. “Created most of it myself” he admitted proudly, “I’ve been coming here to train for over a year now” And it was true that upon closer inspection one could see several smaller walls, some partially broken with massive boulders dotting either side of the stream and filling the quarry. There too were burn marks, sections of earth scorched black though in many such area, especially in the deeper crevices and outer sections this had given birth to vibrant purple fireweed as well as a myriad of other brightly colored flowers.

As Aina ran alongside her now boyfriend, Takeo, she was doing everything she could to hide her nervousness. She and Takeo had sparred and trained of course, but never on a level that risked any sort of real damage. For a long time now he had been asking her to quit holding back, to really unleash on him in a fight that he might do the same in kind, but she worried. It wasn't that she was worried about getting hurt, she had been hurt so many times in her life that pain didn't bother her in the least by now. She worried more about hurting him. She knew he could take care of himself of course, she knew he was as accustomed to pain as she was, if not more so. The man had far more scars than she did and from wounds that were far worse than any she had suffered in her lifetime. Yet she feared making even a single error, or he making the smallest miscalculation, because especially with her clan's jutsu it was all too easy to do something of the sort and wind up with one of them dead. While she had come to no longer fear death for herself, she feared what it would do to Takeo if he killed her by accident, or what it would do to her if she killed him by accident. She hadn't really vocalized these fears to Takeo, though she had a feeling that he knew they existed. Yet as he had asked her again, she had finally agreed.

A bannin could not improve without these kinds of spars against someone of like strength, and neither could the future Hokage. As rumor slowly turned into fact, she knew she couldn't deny him anymore. If the previous Hokage had demanded such a match from her would she have done it? Of course. The fact that she was coming to love this one in an intimate way shouldn't give her license to demand him what they both needed.

Of course all this had come to pass finally for seemingly simple reasons. Takeo was not only about to become Hokage, he was rebuilding the village's ANBU. The notorious, albeit secretive, organization was going to be vital for Konoha's future and in that respect she had come to find herself in a similar position. Mamorinuku had gone into neglect since Kawa's death. There had been other leaders of course, but all those who were so near Kawa had been wrapped up in grief and the organization was on the brink of ceasing to exist. Aina had yet to tell Takeo this herself, but she had finally made the decision to step up and take leadership of it. The papers lay strewn in what was supposed to be the training room at her house, mixed in with all her research on the whereabouts and activities on Yaku and Enma that she had taken a personal interest in. And she knew, as a Banin, whether she would hunt the missing ninja or head up the village's defense organization, she needed to be the strongest she could possibly be.

As their run slowed and had her close her eyes, she let her thoughts and worries wash away into the wind, focusing on the here and now, and her time with Takeo. She couldn't help a smile at the feeling of his hand closing around hers, a sensation that she was still growing accustomed to and yet relaxed her in ways she never thought possible. The young banin had begun to wonder if it was time to say something, to tell him. Yet for now she pushed the thought away for another time even as he told her to open her eyes.

She blinked, staring at the landscape before her. Even though it was clearly marred from so much training by the man beside her, it was still beautiful and for several moments she couldn't help but to simply stare at it. "So there is where you go...." she said quietly as she looked down at it and turned to look at Takeo with a bit of a smile on her face. "What's the plan? I can't tell if you want a quiet picnic here or to see the damage Sankaton can do to it." she teased. She knew the man was equal parts romantic and rough, even animalistic at times. It was an odd balance that she honestly loved about the man.

Takeo smiled, beaming with happiness in this moment. He stared at her face as if seeing it for the first time, the sun basking them both in its warmth and granting her with a soft glow even against her fairly pale skin. Standing atop the vast canyon together it truly seemed that the pair could accomplish anything. As Hokage he would finally have the power to make a true difference in the world, not simply with a blade in the cover of darkness but rather for once with his words, standing in the light of the sun. It was a future that filled him with hope, a future that Aina was an essential part of. Already they complimented one another remarkably. His passion and flare for adventure, her dedication and empathy for others. With her at his side he knew that he would never lose track of the man he strove to be.

Moreover she was one of the few people in the world whom was even capable of matching his skill in combat. Of course he understood her reluctance to unleash her true talent against him, while his jutsu repertoire was largely focused on defense and capturing targets hers was entirely geared towards utter carnage and annihilation. In a way that made matters less dangerous, so long as Takeo’s defenses were enough to hold off her offense anyway. If he underestimated her skill or overestimated the strength of his own techniques the outcome could easily prove fatal. It was a lot to ask of the woman and he would be sure to train at his absolute best. Survival and adaptability were his specialties and he had no intention of finding his death in a training session, especially knowing the utter despair and self-destruction it would cause in Aina to be responsible for such a thing.

She opened her eyes and he stood with her for several moments simply enjoying the serene view. “Yeah, it’s a bit of a ways out but it’s worth it I’d say. Don’t have to worry about hurting anyone in the crossfire out here. Closest village is about 15 miles away, I like to check in on them sometimes. Yoru and I helped save their people from slavers last year, had them holed up in Yoru’s old farm home just 5 miles North. The noise of my training seems to discourage them from entering this region again, haven’t seen any sign of their activity since then” he informed. Though he knew very well that it wasn’t just his training regimen that discouraged them. The pair of shinobi had utterly massacred their forces, dismembering countless men and displaying their corpses on spikes as a warning before burning the buildings and towers that had been constructed. Of course those were details that were too morbid to mention in such a tranquil setting, though even if Aina knew he was sure that she would understand the necessity of such violence and hold an equal disdain towards the men that had been killed. Such an understanding of the duties and a mindset of a fellow elite shinobi was one of the reasons why he felt so comfortable in her presence. Likewise he wouldn’t judge her or hold her to blame for any actions she was forced to commit in the line of duty.

He smirked at her suggestion, “Perhaps both” he responded softly. He leaned in, taking a moment to kiss her before the view. The idea of a relaxing evening atop a waterfall and cavern, the sun setting in the distance, certainly held a great deal of appeal. He seemed to ponder the decision for a moment, “Sankaton first, nothing like a little annihilation to work up an appetite” he joked. The day was early still and after a grueling day of training there was certainly room for a romantic evening “Come on. Best to leave this area intact, we’ll do our training down at the quarry on the other end” he suggested, gesturing for her to follow as he set off, running around to the right. Before long they would find themselves in the large quarry, boulders of all sizes lay strewn about, evidence of the growing quarry due to frequent landslides whenever jutsu impacted the outer rim of the circular crater. “How about a little warm up my dear” he started off with an almost cheeky tone. He knew Aina wasn’t particularly fond of cutesy names and such he often utilized them playfully whenever he felt like getting a rise out of her. There were simply times where his daring spirit begged him to stir up a little of her fire. “Why don’t you try tossing some of those boulders at me? Get a little revenge for me complaining about how messy your ‘office’ is getting lately” he suggested grinning playfully. He knew full well that the many boulders in the area typically weighed between five hundred and two thousand pounds each. He had spent many days honing his muscles with those very boulders. Perhaps a warm-up may have been an understatement.

Aina was staring off at the landscape, hardly aware of what Takeo was saying, to the point where his sudden kiss startled her. She smiled almost sheepishly as he suggested they move on to a place where their techniques wouldn't destroy the beautiful landscape he had just introduced her to. She turned and followed him off to the quarry he mentioned, glad to see there'd be an area for them to train that didn't require destroying something quote so breathtaking.

She looked around at the boulders around her, glancing at Takeo and giving him a visible frown as he mentioned her messy 'office'. She had gotten a little out of control as of late with the area, but the remark reminded her of other empty space in the house, an empty bedroom that was about to be occupied. As she lifted a boulder over her head, nothing that would quite strain herself she turned to face him. "Sure and we can talk about the Hyuuga boy coming to live with me this week." she replied with a bit of a smirk. She knew it would probably catch him off guard to know she was taking in another orphan. The woman had gone from no adoptees or children to two in less than a month.

Stat Training # 8 Speed

734/1500

As Aina set about to choosing her boulder Takeo began a series of stretches, limbering his legs, primarily his hamstrings and calves though even his arms and neck would not be neglected. He didn’t underestimate the woman’s strength by any means and had to anticipate not getting much time to adjust or rest once their training began. Of course he noticed that Aina’s thoughts had seemed to be elsewhere, an indication given earlier with her captivation in the view, resulting in a somewhat amusing show of being startled when he had lightly kissed her. Even now it seemed her focus was elsewhere, for a moment his thoughts were one of concern. After all she had only just returned from a nearly week long outing under the premise of searching for information on Yaku. Other than that he had no idea as to how successful she had been, in either case he could understand why her mind might be troubled by the results. He trusted however that in due time she would come to him with what she had learned. Another possibility was that she was thinking about the second child that she had made plans to adopt. Takeo knew of the intention to take in another though had been left out in regards to the main details about the individual or even whether or not it was fully confirmed.

His brow raised as he regarded the woman in surprise. “So soon eh?” he had thought it might be another month or more before the adoption process went through. Clearly being a Bannin of the Hyuuga clan had abbreviated the process. Still it surprised him that Aina would take in another so soon. Hanako had been adjusting well, though with the loss of her own older brother he was worried that introducing a new one may overwhelm the girl. Conversely though it may help her reclaim some semblance of her former life, as long as she was emotionally ready for such a drastic step. With any luck Aina had at least discussed the decision with her in far greater length and detail than she had with Takeo. “How old is this one anyway?” he inquired, wondering just how long of a commitment Aina had made to this new individual. It was an awkward place to be in, too early in his relationship with Aina to treat any adopted children as his own and yet he saw enough of a future with her to realize than any decision she made now could affect him for many years to come. Of course Takeo was adept at adapting, remaining calm and composed even in the face of an ever changing situation that seemed to be quickly developing into the makings of an instant family.

Turning to put some distance between himself and Aina he gestured for her to start throwing boulders at him. He would need to be quick on his feet and quite attentive to gauge the trajectory and move accordingly. He too had to consider his surroundings and be wary of falling debris from a missed throw. Not only would his short bursts of speed be tested but also his physical ability to react and move in a rapid and immediate fashion. Rolling his shoulders one last time his stance lowered as his feet dug into the earth. As the first boulder was thrown he lunged to the side, deftly landing in a roll and springing back to his feet without breaking his line of sight towards the young Hyuuga Bannin before him. At a distance of only about 15 meters he had little room for error though still her throws were notably weaker than his own, making for a slower moving projectile. It wasn’t by any means easy to avoid though certainly she would have to step it up in order to make the exercise any true challenge. Most likely the woman was still holding back despite her agreement to train at the utmost elite level. “Come on Aina, I don’t break easy, let’s see what you can do” he encouraged and though there was still a hint of playfulness in his eyes his expression remained hard and determined. With any luck she would either move onto heavier boulders or increase the rate of throwing to really push one another to their fullest ability and reach the potential they each still had locked within them.

“Teenager, he’s notorious for an attitude, just like I was.” She told Takeo simply in reply as he asked about the adoptee’s age. “The family who has him now has given up on him, treats him like trash, but I can’t just ignore him…. In our clan we have to choose a name, someone whose footsteps we follow in. An elder. He went against the norm and picked me apparently.”

Thinking about the boy was a distraction, Aina knew that, and she fell silent after she relayed the information and even threw the first boulder. Naturally she couldn’t help but notice that Takeo didn’t have all that much trouble with it. His assumption was right, the Hyuuga woman was still holding back from him, from hurting him. Aina gave him a look as he encouraged her, but the look in her eyes was different. She was pushing herself mentally, pushing herself to gauge Takeo not as a partner, her boyfriend, or even an opponent.

She needed to gauge him as a threat.

Despite having white eyes her gaze seemed to go dark as she walked over to a large boulder, twice the size of the last one. She dropped her eyes to it a moment and lay a hand on it, then both hands. She tried to push it at first and realized she couldn’t really budge it from where it sat, and a grin crossed her lips. This wasn’t a playful look or something that Takeo would be used to seeing. She looked almost like a cat who had just caught a mouse in a corner. “Alright then.” She muttered simply. She braced both of her feet on the ground and rest both hands against the boulder a moment, channeling chakra into her hands. With a yell she pulled both hands back until they were parallel with her chest and suddenly thrust forward, releasing as much of her own strength as she could into the double fisted strike that slammed into the boulder and sent it flying towards Takeo.

It wouldn’t be the only one either. Pushing off the ground to strafe to the side she positioned herself behind a second and struck downwards at it. The ground beneath it, her fist behind it, it ricocheted into the air and the Hyuuga woman leaped after it. She flipped and twisted in the air, both feet coming behind the boulder and slamming into it, sending it downwards at an angle towards Takeo faster than the first.

Stat Training # 8: Speed (Part 2)
1560/1500

"Well that sounds like fun” he responded sarcastically, who didn’t want to take in a teenager with attitude? Nonetheless he nodded his understanding as she further explained the boy’s situation. “You’re a good person. I can see why he would look up to you…just leave some room for the possibility of a family of our own one day alright?” he added, chuckling lightly. After all as much as the man cared about the youth of the village nothing quite compared to having a true child of one’s own blood, perhaps even one who might take after him rather than the traits of a Hyuuga, though that was a gamble that didn’t bode well in his favor. Clan genetics tended to be quite dominant and powerful after all. Even if he only had one child whom didn’t have those same white eyes looking back at him that would be enough, just something that he could see of himself in his offspring. Even in that one small genetic difference that would also mean that his last name would be allowed to live on, at least for another generation, perhaps more if the child in question was a boy. The Natsuki were not a proud or well-known family though he valued his heritage nonetheless.

Coming out of his roll Takeo noted the shift in Aina’s demeanor and for an instant he wondered if perhaps he should have protected his body in his Doton armor. In fact he considered forming seals though seeing the grin he quickly realized that he wouldn’t have nearly enough time for such a powerful jutsu. Instead his hands darted into his holsters, drawing a pair of kunai so as to not risk damaging his more prized weaponry against such dense stone. He still intended to evade as much as possible though it was always customary to have some additional insurances and means of defending himself. As she lifted the boulder he turned and ran, putting some more distance between them and building up his momentum to make lateral movement easier. It was also a tactic to prevent her from being able to anticipate his path of evasion as he wouldn’t move to one side or the other until the boulder was already travelling towards him. Darting to the left as it hurtled towards him he began to circle around the woman, running in a wide berth at just under his full speed. He had hardly began to circle however before he noticed the young Bannin acrobatically leap into the air before spiking another towards him at an alarming rate. It aimed to impact on his line of trajectory so that he had no choice but to increase his speed, forcing his legs to their limits as he ran like his life depended on it.

The boulder came so close to him that he had to duck slightly, bringing a hand up and creating sparks as the kunai grazed against the stone as his body slipped beneath its trajectory, reaching the height of his speed at the moment of contact. The boulder passed over him and in an instant he had already placed nearly 10 meters of distance between himself and where the boulder had nearly struck him. The aforementioned boulder crashed into the ground, creating a sizable crater and shaking the area so much so that the ground he stood upon rumbled and the sound made was akin to that of a large explosion. Skidding to a stop Takeo cracked his neck, exhaling slowly through a grin that contained only a trace sense of worry. “That’s more like it” he beamed, already he could feel his heartbeat racing as his body was pushed and his mind was finally reveling in a sense of true danger. “You know, I never have been very good at evading, this might end up being good practice in more ways than one” he realized, stating aloud, though knowing Aina he wouldn’t have much opportunity to rest. His style typically revolved around counter attacks, staggering his opponents and then overpowering them in a constant barrage of ruthless attacks. It wasn’t often that he was forced purely on the defensive and when he was he typically relied on Ninjutsu to take the brunt of the impact. Against someone as fast as Aina however that wasn’t an option. He had never sparred with anyone of her caliber before and already he was beginning to notice some weaknesses in his ability. No doubt he would learn a lot about what sort of tactics might be effective of a taijutsu powerhouse, especially at a range where he couldn’t utilize his own taijutsu very effectively to defend himself. These were situations that he had prepared very little for. Increasing his speed would surely help considerably in such instances though even that may not be truly enough.

Aina was still trying to put the comment out of her mind as she worked with the boulders, the comment about their own little family. Her and Takeo hadn't been together that long, or at least that was the way she saw it. The idea of making a family with Takeo had been both on her mind and not, and right now she needed to focus on those boulders.

She had started out trying to not grab something too big, but as her mind tried to push everything else but the training from it, she found herself reaching for one that she probably shouldn't have. As she lifted it she felt everything in her legs tense and ache as she fought to use them over her back. The skin across her shoulders stretched as if it was going to crack and the muscles in her upper arms pulled as if they would tear. Yet even as her muscles ached and cried in pain, she managed to lift the boulder over her head. Holding it aloft, it felt almost like a break as most of the muscles she had used to get it there could now relax. It required far less effort to hold it over her head than it did to lift it, but now it posed her a problem. She needed to launch it at Takeo for the next part of the training and she wasn't entirely sure she could manage it.

Yet as the issue ran through her mind, so did a solution follow suit. With a visible struggle she bent her legs and lowered her body before pushing with both her arms and legs as she moved upwards and launched the boulder into the air over her head. As it rose her body spun and her right hand worked fingertips over the seal under her left forearm. As it came down she completed her spin and the brass knuckle that had been hidden now slid over her fingers as a welcome old friend. By time her spin was done, her knuckles slammed into the side of the boulder at full force and her speed behind it to send it flying towards Takeo with a yell of triumph. It was rare for Aina to do these things anymore, feeling like she was showing off. But she knew that even if Takeo couldn't fully dodge the boulder, he could take at least part of the impact.

Still, her goal was to gain strength herself and as a result she couldn't let up. No matter what Takeo said, she couldn't allow herself to be distracted any longer, not with thoughts of him, not with thoughts of children, or the pair she'd adopted. She stooped and picked up another boulder, hefting it over her head as she had the first and throwing it into the air.

This boulder went higher than the last one had and the young Bannin turned for one firmly rooted into the ground behind her. She grabbed it with a hand and pulled herself up on top of it as the other remained in the air, only just completing its upward journey and beginning its descent. She turned and spun as she leaped from the rock, her heel slamming into the boulder and sending it behind the first towards Takeo.

'He told me not to hold back.' As she landed she could already feel the repurcussions of what she had begun. As her heel had impacted the boulder, she had felt an echo of pain follow up the bone, ending in a grimace of pain as she'd landed on her feet. Yet she did not stop. Takeo had asked her not to hold back in her training and she would follow through, she required at least a third.

Still wearing that set of brass knuckles on her right hand she turned for the next boulder and suddenly thrust her fingers underneath it, ignoring the dirt and grit that got under her nails and the small rocks that cut at her skin. It was smaller than the others and as such she immediately decided this one would be wielded with only one hand. She would be able to throw it faster than the others, but would also be able to work a single arm over both with the same or similar intensity. Attempting to work with the momentum she already had she kept her movement going, yanking up from under the boulder to fling it into the air in front of her. Blood dripped off her fingers from shallow cuts but Aina hardly noticed. Her brothers had long ago helped her to learn the simple fact that if one was training, one better be bleeding. She expected by the end to be bleeding and bruised, and this was only the start of it.

As this smaller boulder went up into the air her own hands came together, fingers intertwining into a fist. As it began to descend back down she planted her feet about shoulder width apart and brought her hands back, only launching them forward together to slam into the boulder when it had hit just the right height, effectively using her hands almost as a baseball bat. Sweat dripped down her form as she sent the boulder careening towards Takeo and hardly paused to watch and see the result.

She was panting to catch her breath, her body shaking with the pain already, yet Aina refused to stop. She would give it her all to gain the strength she needed, and she knew how to get it. Walking over to a stone that was embedded into the earth she gripped her brass knuckle still in her right hand so hard she could feel the blood flowing just a little more, and that sharp clarity that came with pain. Her mind flashed to another painful moment, to when she had been a Special Jounin and felt like she was staring down death itself, and she reared back with her fist. She slammed it into the stone as hard as she could and grinned as a large portion of it broke off above her fist. She turned her hand just enough to grasp it and turn.

It was much smaller than the others, hardly a show of strength as she flung it toward Takeo. This piece was so much smaller it would likely break if met with a blow from the man, though it was meant only to catch the man off guard, a sign of her own playful mind amid her training.

By time it was flying she was standing with hands on her hips, panting for breath and grinning as she watched the result of her work and her own lover train against what she had thrown.

Stat Training: Speed

1677/1500

As Takeo stood, inhaling deeply in order to even his breathing his instincts begged him to counter attack, to formulate a plan and turn the tide to the offensive as he had done so many times throughout his career. To simply evade and play the acrobatic method of defense went against his very nature, that was the sort of tactic favored by Yoru, and while he had seen it done countless times it typically felt like a forced reaction. That was something he would have to overcome. He knew he was physically capable of acrobatics, he displayed promise in the area when it came to many of his kicking techniques, maneuvers he incorporated and practiced for the edge it gave him in keeping his opponent off guard and attacking with unrelenting strikes. To use such skills in regards to evasive and defense however was something he had never been required to do and thus had never given any true focus into. In this situation, at least for a little while longer he didn’t have the luxury of being able to attack.

He had to force back a proud smile as she heaved the massive boulder overhead. She truly was remarkable, he wagered even Yoru might have had difficulty with that one. It was obvious Aina was finally pushing her limits and digging deep into her own capability in order to force him to do the same. He couldn’t afford to let his guard down for a moment, in fact he made a note to create some sort of techniques to reinforce his body, even with a partial armor of sorts that he could manifest quickly, preferably something he could utilize while holding weapons and without the need for hand seals. One could only run for so long before needing alternative methods of dealing with threats. With each of his kunai in hand he held them defensively as he prepared himself to feint directions and out maneuver Aina. As she flipped into the air however, striking the behemoth of a boulder with her brass knuckles he realized that at its speed and trajectory with such an impressive size he wouldn’t be able to evade it without making himself blind to any follow up attacks and thus leaving himself open. He would have to utilize his speed in another manner but not before facing the threat head on. Digging in his feet he formed a powerful stance before launching the kunai in his right hand at the center of the boulder. What his attack lacked in mass compared to the boulder it made up for in sheer power, the air seemed to ripple around the weapon from the sheer velocity of its travel. As the two monumental forces collided the sound of the boulder shattering erupted and reverberated through the canyon. What was once a boulder spanning nearly 15 feet in width had split into a multitude of smaller projectiles, each retaining their own significant degree of force and speed.

Takeo bobbed his head to the right, ducking his body out of the way of one large piece, spinning low he slashed another out of the air with his remaining kunai, before changing elevation once again as his right hand shot up to guard his face with his metal arm guard. He moved in such a way as to not take the brunt of the impact but rather to deflect it up and over him, akin to water moving around a boulder in a stream and in between deflections his movements shifted, becoming the water himself once more as he shifted and weaved out of the way of other chunks. Every movement had to be precise and nearly flawless, executed at the fastest pace he could muster in order to stay ahead of the barrage and not find himself blindsided. This was the sort of fast paced movement that came natural to him, close quarters fighting and minor adjustments to his body, utilized with maximum efficiency all the while allowing him an opportunity to stand his ground in a manner of speaking and often open opponents up to counter attacks. In fact as he moved he even found himself grinning slightly in excitement as he reveled in the feeling of having such mastery over his body and honing his reaction time and movement speed.

This elation would be furthered as he noticed the second boulder, rocketing towards him with even more speed than the first. It flung aside the first thrown kunai, its momentum almost entirely consumed by splitting the first boulder. Instinctively he leaped backwards, tossing his kunai upwards and back through the air in mid jump as he began forming hand seals. With his body kept close to the ground he seamlessly continued his momentum, rolling backwards as he landed and only pausing his hand seals for a mere moment before standing and backpedaling again as they were completed. Glancing upwards he timed his movement to catch his earlier tossed kunai before sharply exhaling three condenses spheres of flame, each orbiting around one another as they collided with the boulder a mere handful of feet away from him. The culminating explosive force forced him to jump backwards, propelling him further so that when he landed he had been forced only a few feet ahead of the canyon wall. First degree burns licked at the exposed areas of skin across his face, arms and upper torso. He had no time to register the sensation however, adrenaline rushed through him and his mind demanded his body into action without a moment of respite.

He truly had to stand his ground now, this time most of the debris had been forcefully blasted aside. As the dust and debris began to settle he ran in an arch, hoping to make his way closer to Aina once again and give himself more room to work with. He hadn’t made it more than 5 meters however when another boulder came careening towards him, aiming to intercept his path. With Aina’s Byakugan and skill with ranged weapons it would be easy for her to track him, even with the remarkable speed he possessed. Pivoting his body he did something that might have come as a surprise given his usual tactics. Rather than rolling or staying close to the ground this time he forcefully leaped upwards, twisting his upper body out of the trajectory of the smallest boulder yet as his legs tensed, held in perfect form as he used the torque of his motion to deliver a powerful leaping roundhouse kick to the boulder, redirecting its force and sending it soaring hundreds of feet into the air as it was launched out of the quarry entirely. His shins and forearms had long ago been conditioned to the likeness of steel, so much so that breaking stone and felling trees with bare strikes came easily and naturally to him now. That wasn’t to say that he wouldn’t receive significant injury from taking a direct hit however, not with the force that Aina had backed it with. Redirection however was another matter entirely.

Landing swiftly and naturally, he looked over his shoulder as he spun, prepared for yet another attack to which he was not disappointed. He was already slick with sweat, and his breathing elevated from the lightning fast display of reflexes and maneuvering he had been forced to maintain between full sprints and expending chakra. As the final piece of stone was thrown towards him Takeo responded with his fastest movement yet. Utilizing momentum from his spin and the strength of his legs and torso, his crouched low, planting his previous kicking leg firmly on the ground, not even allowing the other to touch earth as he whipped his body around, coiling his left leg like a striking cobra before lashing out in a spinning back kick that anyone less skilled than a Bannin wouldn’t even be able to perceive. His foot smashed apart the stone in a rather satisfying sensation. He allowed his leg to linger there for a moment, focusing ones eye to his outstretched leg before bringing it down as his upper body now unleashed its power. His left hand flung the kunai he held, launching it towards Aina with a show of strength that he doubted she had ever seen before. The speed and power of his throw was absurd though the distance between the two combatants was significant. Easily 40 meters at this point and he knew Aina’s reaction time was even better than his own. The Hyuuga were renowned for their remarkable defense though he was sure that no level of heavenly spin would be able to completely stop his power, though even a deflection would be impressive.

The muscular man stood upright finally, inhaling deeply and grinning with satisfaction. That had certainly been one hell of a warm-up. “Well I’m warm.” He stated whimsically as he loosened his haori, parting it slightly to expose more of his chest and stomach to the gentle breeze that wafted down the ravine, cooled by the flowing waters and brought out into the quarry before warming again and gradually dispersing. If it weren’t for the utility of keeping his sword strapped across his back he would have simply removed the light upper body wear entirely. “Ready to move onto the next round? Try our hand at Ninjutsu or Taijutsu, maybe a proper spar?” he suggested. In honesty it might be easier to test his chakra reserves against hers, in regards to Ninjutsu he felt he likely had an advantage though the point of this day was to push one’s boundaries and Aina was one of the only people in the world whom he actually felt had a high chance of beating him in close quarters. If she refrained from using her Jyuuken however as he suspected she might then it would come down to a matter of him being able to keep up with her speed and react accordingly, a feat which he was growing increasingly confident that he could manage.
Jutsu UsedShow
The Art of Rolling
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A fundamental skill for Takeo’s more deadly and unpredictable maneuvers, through rigorous practice a user can perfect the skill of rolling, serving a variety of purposes. This particular style of rolling focusses on fast paced combat, used offensively or defensively the user can seamlessly drop low into a roll, forwards, backwards or sideways from a standing or running start or even in response to being forcefully shoved backwards. Naturally due to the high amounts of force the user must be adept at dispersing the impact of the roll, this is done by dropping into a squat, then distributing the impact momentarily at the knee then across each shoulder in quick succession.

Redirect
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A basic skill for the Krav maga style, Redirect is used mostly against stabbing attacks or straight on punches, though it can be employed against other types of attacks if need be, albeit with less expected success depending on the situation. When an attack comes close to the user, he will bring his arm across his body, aiming to connect his palm with the side of the attack, usually a wrist or the shaft of a spear or something of the like. Unless the opponent's strength is higher than the user's strength, the attack will be directed to the side, often opening the opponent up to attack.

Toss and Catch
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After many hours of honing this skill Takeo has come to a point where he is able to throw up to two objects he’s holding up into the air and then forms seals or perform a brief fight sequence before catching the item or weapon again. As long as Takeo doesn’t move more than 15 feet from his position he can accurately predict where the item will land and catch it in time. The height of the thrown item varies depending on how much time is needed to execute the maneuver. Of course if his opponents prove especially resilient or if he is forced to drastically alter his planned movements then this technique can be interrupted.

Katon • Infernal Assault
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals Takeo will build up Katon chakra in his chest before expelling three 1m diameter balls of condensed fire which rotate around one another as they travel in a straight line towards their target at a speed of 10. Due to the highly condensed nature of the fire balls they act as solid spheres upon impacting their target with a strength of 30, capable of smashing through stone and causing second degree burns around the area of impact and readily setting ablaze anything struck by them.

Jump Kick
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: Acrobatics
An ideal attack to utilize in a kick combination Takeo has incorporated this technique into his brutal close quarter’s style. Often used after softening the target with a few opening blows Takeo uses this kick to capitalize on any openings he has created. He starts by driving one knee into the air and then scissoring his legs to build momentum, striking with the opposite leg in a powerful kick often aimed at the temple. Due to his sheer control over his body Takeo can adjust the path of the kick even in mid-air allowing him to make adjustments that make guarding difficult, such as kicking twice with the same leg or soaring his leg over his opponents head to deliver a swift reverse strike to the opposite side of their head. He can even switch his body in mid-air to switch the kick to the other leg, making the technique quite adaptable and difficult to read.

Spinning Hook Kick
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
One of Takeo’s flashier and few taekwondo inspired moves he will often incorporate this difficult to read attack in the midst of rolling maneuvers and situations with multiple attackers. Typically in response to an incoming kick or charge Takeo will turn away from his opponent, bending forward and ducking so low that his upper body comes a mere foot off the ground as he evades the incoming attack before proceeding to spin around lashing out with an upwards kick with immense force aimed either at the opponents jaw or hooked around to strike them in the temple. The sheer power and surprise of the kick is often enough to knock an opponent unconscious or at least severely stagger them due to the precision placement. If Takeo’s Speed is at least 10 higher than his opponents Taijutsu+Insitnct/2 he will appear to vanish before delivering the kick, seemingly out of nowhere, 5 higher and he will be nothing but a blur.

Aina was more than a little relieved to see Takeo be able to effectively deal with each and every boulder she threw at him. It wasn't that she lacked faith in his abilities as a shinobi, it was simply her concern for her lover that had made her worry. And naturally that worry was misplaced. There were a lot of reasons why Takeo was in line to be the next Hokage, and his combat prowess was certainly one of those. Though on her list of unexpected things, she hadn't expected him to throw the kunai at her either. The pair were certainly training but she had expected if he did anything offensively at all it would be to turn the tables completely, not just a single maneuver.

As she was caught off guard by it to a degree, Aina wouldn't be able to turn it completely against Takeo, but she knew it would give her a chance to show off something new she had learned and hadn't been able to show the man just yet. As she dipped to her right to get out of the trajectories line of travel, her left hand shot up and ran alongside the blade to slap it away with a grin on her face. The kunai would fly past and behind her, burying in the ground as she quickly evaluated the damage on Takeo so far. What little he had taken, the man seemed to have simply shrugged off and Aina couldn't say she wasn't impressed. He didn't seem fazed by anything so far.

Aina herself was beginning to sweat from the exertion of the work so far, and as such as Takeo announced himself 'warmed up', she turned and unzipped the front of her vest, setting it aside and revealing the simple black sports bra type top she wore underneath, showing most of her scars clearly as well as the line of sweat that had begun to glisten off her skin. She undid her sword sheath from her vest and instead put it on herself, the strap coming down across her chest for the blade to be on her back in case she needed it, but she had something else in mind for the moment. She planned to mix her own styles and usage to try and push Takeo, as well as herself, to some kind of limit more physically. She took a moment to focus her own body, shown only by an intake of breath and a releasing of it slowly before she opened her eyes and her hands seemed to twitch a bit even as she began bouncing on her feet. She was back to grinning yet again. "Let's change it up a bit." she breathed, even her voice seeming to hold a bit more 'energy' to it as she spoke and made steps towards Takeo.

She wouldn't give the man much space to prepare if he hadn't done so already and as soon as she was within range she would twist and perform a snap kick forward at his side before drawing the same back and twisting to kick back at him as well before spinning away and grinning at him. She quickly followed up by drawing her blade from her back suddenly and going in for a lunge-thrust that she knew he would likely dodge but she turned in mid thrust to try and sweep her leg under his own in an effort to twist him up.

Jutsu Used - In orderShow
Kūgāpou: Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level the user is able to read the angles of the attacks to use the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon.

*[Skitter Step • Senses Open]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The main jutsu of the Skitter Step, Senses Open does exactly what the name states. The user takes a moment to focus their bodies, then releases it. While in this stance, the users sensory input is increased, allowing them to receive more information quickly. This causes a +2 in Taijutsu, and a +4 in speed, but a -3 in Ninjutsu and -3 in Control. This stance will remain in effect until deactivated by [Stop]. Practioners of this technique will find themselves fidgetting and constantly moving, which can make it difficult for them to use this style while on stealth missions.

*[Skitter Step • Snap Kick]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite:A form Senses Open used.
The user performs a quick snap kick forwards, or, if needed, a snap kick to either side by bringing their leg up and kicking outwards. If "Senses Open" was previously used, the user is able to quickly and instinctively kick out in about any direction and even able to do a turn on their heel, then kick what was behind them.

*[Toryu • Lunging Feint]
D-Ranked Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Speed
A basic technique of the style wherein the user moves in for a basic lunge-thrust with their weapon, only to turn in mid thrust and attempt to sweep their leg under the opponent's own. This tends to be useful as a basic feint and can usually knock down those with less strength than the user who get caught by it.

Speed Training: 1153/1500

Takeo studied Aina’s reaction to his powerful throw with curiosity, he wondered whether she would opt to block with her heavenly spin, deflect, or dodge. His instincts figured it would be one of the latter, few defenses could compete with his strength and he trusted she would realize that. Not to mention the fact the woman was certainly untraditional when it came to her heritage, in fact aside from the one time Kiyori had requested a demonstration of Jyuuken with Takeo as the test dummy he had never actually seen Aina utilize her clan learned jutsu. Even when confronting himself in a fight and later the S-rank Missing ninja Saigo, she had used her brass knuckles for offense rather than gentle fist strikes. It was peculiar and seemed to limit her combat ability though perhaps she simply preferred to leave such tactics as a powerful trump card, rather than relying on it as a primary means like so many others.

He whistled lowly, impressed as Aina redirected the kunai almost effortlessly. He hadn’t even held back his strength for the first time in a spar. The force of the kunai was mitigated somewhat by the deflection though it still took a chunk off the corner of a boulder before creating a long swath of destruction across the earth, kicking up debris and dust. Excitement welled within the man, he truly was lucky to be with such a remarkable woman. It seemed quite likely that he wouldn’t even have to worry about holding back if she could handle such an attack with ease. That also meant that he would have to be at the top of his game as well in order to contend with her. He smirked as she removed her jacket, admiring her toned body and moderate sized chest, yes, he certainly was lucky. Even the scars he found to be quite attractive. He eyed her sword, anticipating a clash of blades though she made no move to draw her weapon just yet. Still, he speculated upon which style she utilized, they had conversed about having Toryu training in common though he wondered if perhaps she secretly delved in Iaido as well, it would complement her speed well from tactical standpoint though if her neglecting of her clan techniques were any indication it wasn’t the sort of style she preferred to utilize.

As Aina took a deep breath so did Takeo, though his eyes remained open so as to observe her. Finding himself calm, focused and centered through his breathing his muscles relaxed slightly to be able to respond immediately without prior tensions or stress when the time called for it. Interestingly Aina’s breathing seemed to have the opposite effect as she suddenly became flooded with a surge of energy and even a notable sense of jitters and impatience. ‘Skitter Step or just something similar?’ he wondered. He had fought Jounin whom utilized the aforementioned style in the past though he had come to notice that such individuals began to display such traits even when relaxed. Aina was certainly aware of her surroundings, more so from his own influence and at times she could be short fused and quick to action though he would never have considered her to be paranoid or jittery. Perhaps it was simply a testament to her control over her body or a representation of a method of fighting seldom used or newly learned. Whatever the case may be his interest was piqued.

He took a fighting stance, arms staggered near his face and legs spaced out comfortably much like an experienced kickboxer. Naturally he put more weight on his toes than his heels for greater ease of movement. Aina approached at an impressive rate, faster than before though it wouldn’t take him long to adjust accordingly. He tracked her movements and braced, blocking the first kick with his left arm before hastily bringing both arms together to block the second kick. With her speed it would be difficult for him to employ counter attacks, at least not until he began to learn her attack pattern so for now he focused purely on the defensive. He couldn’t afford to make himself vulnerable. Her kicks were powerful but nothing his conditioned limbs and body couldn’t handle. He smirked, enjoying the spirited playfulness she was having in feeling each other out. As her hand reached for her weapon he instinctively did the same. As his sword slid from its sheath hers was already on course in an attack aimed at his midsection. He urged his body to move faster as he struggled to keep pace with her, the only way he would be able to defend effectively would be to maximize his every movement for the utmost efficiency. Luckily he was well used to a more minimalist and efficient method of counter fighting. Shifting his body to the left he narrowly evaded the blade, granting himself an extra half second to bring his weapon down in a diagonal strike aimed at her neck while he guarded forearm steered her blade away.

In most instances this efficient and deadly counter attack would have parted an opponent’s head from their shoulders as he had done many times in the past, even against trained samurai in some instances, though never had his opponent been quite as fast as Aina. Already she had been moving towards a follow up attack, the lunge being a feint. Her head dipped under and away from her swing as her legged weaved behind his, the leverage of the sweep reeling his attacking arm away from her. His stance had already been compromised, attempting to maintain his footing would be futile and dangerous so instead he utilized the last instant of solid footing to kick off the ground, shoving her sword away as much as he could with his armored forearm before spinning sideways into the throw, utilizing the momentum of the sweep to attempt to slide his leg free of hers as he countered with a falling and spinning upwards slash aimed vertically across the center line of her body. The slash was delivered with the intent of creating enough space between them for Takeo to get his right foot under him, pivoting so that he would be facing away from her as he landed and immediately diving into a shoulder roll to make more space before spinning to his left now, hoping to defend from his knees with his sword drawn defensively across his body. All in all he was making quick and decisive movements, perhaps surprisingly agile and graceful for his muscular stature though delivered with an unmistakable urgency as he struggled to keep up. It was rare for him to be pushed in such a manner, perhaps an indication that he typically didn’t have a need to fight beyond an initial counter as typically his opponent was killed within the first few seconds of combat.

Using a blade certainly wasn't Aina's go to method, it wasn't something she was entirely accustomed to. But as her and Takeo came in close to fight, despite the use of blades, she found herself feeling more like this was a dance. Evading his own strikes didn't come easy, but it felt as if her evasion and attacks flowed from one move right into another, no matter how difficult the evasion might have been. The last strike he attempted resulted in Aina herself breaking the close contact and moving out of the reach of his blade, giving him the space he was clearly trying to create. She grinned at the man in turn as he took on another stance and the pair had a moment to take a breath before moving into something else.

Her blade slid back into it's sheath with an echoing noise to indication its location as Aina dropped the Senses Open technique to go back to simply her Byakugan. The woman closed the gap between the two and thrust a palm at him in a jyuken technique though she knew the likelihood of it hitting was slim to none. She knew his best course of action was a response with his blade, and she was prepared for that, twisting as one hand came to the top of his blade to try and push it downward and into the dirt to slide across his arm and spin away from his back before moving in with another strike. There was an elegance in her motions and movements that was beginning to show more and more as the spar went on. The smile had long slipped from her lips now but she was clearly enjoying every motion.

There had once been a time when Aina hated spars, she felt that to spar against someone was to do one a disservice as it meant not putting your all into a fight. She felt too much sparring would only damage her physical prowess and ability to fight against a true enemy. But now, training with Takeo, she had learned what a beautiful thing it really was. The pair of them didn't have to hold back in fear of damaging one another simply because they complimented one another so well on the battlefield. They both had their own hand to hand styles and evasion techniques, even knowing the same sword techniques was a great boon and lent to the dance that was their sparring sessions. Out here and away from it all it was even simpler, no fears about damaging the landscape or bystanders. It was just the two of them.

There was a silence reigning over the fight as Aina felt a calm come down over herself, her byakugan taking in every detail of the man she was sparring with and as she watched she came to realize how much he was really pushing himself to keep up with her and it made her realize that one of two things was going to happen. Either she was going to walk away injured, or he was, but she was certain it was nothing either of them couldn't recover from.

That grin sliding onto her face again she took up a familiar stance before moving in towards him with a move to close tenketsu if he didn't dance away fast enough, and through it all she smiled.

1153/1500 Taijutsu
Jutsu UsedShow
~Jyuuken :: Palm Bottom
D Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 6 Control
This attack consists of a quick, precise thrust of the user’s palm to an opponent's body, having channeled chakra into the hand. Though it causes internal damage like other Jyuuken techniques, its greatest asset lies in its ability to be fired off from just about any position and at any given point of the opponent's body.

Kūgāpou: Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the user, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This would either cause the sword to miss, or if their strength difference is enough, could force the sword into the ground. This technique, of course, only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

~Jyuuken :: Eight Divination Signs, Two Hundred Fifty Six Palms of the Hand
A Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: ~Jyuuken :: Eight Divination Signs, One-Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms of the Hand, 30 Control, 25 Instinct
Used in melee range, the clan member will shoot short bursts of chakra from their fingertips while striking the opponent's tenketsu 2 times, 4 times, 8 times, 16 times, 32 times, 64 times, and finally 128 times making a total of 256 strikes. This damage forcefully closes the 256 tenketsu struck, stopping the flow of chakra in the opponent within the struck area and severely limiting their ability to use ninjutsu and genjutsu. This will stop most jutsu from working, A-rank and lower, cause severe pain, and lower the target's control by 9. Often times, this technique will cause the victim to faint as it stops the flow of all chakra use except those needed for survival. If the opponent has a stamina of 25 or higher they can withstand fainting, and those with a stamina of 30 or higher would be able to use jutsu. The interruption of the opponents’ chakra lasts for 4 posts.

Speed Training

1690/1500

Sparring with Aina was proving to be an exhilarating experience and also a humbling one, teaching Takeo a valuable lesson. So few people had been able to overcome his efficient, brutal counter fighting that he had begun to view Taijutsu users as a minimal threat to himself. He was now beginning to realize that against an opponent whose speed and technique surpassed his own, someone whom devoted their lives to Taijutsu that he could be overwhelmed in a prolonged fight. He specialized in quickly dispatching multiple opponents, against one singular master his style faltered. It was a potentially life-saving revelation of shattered hubris, all the more reason why spars of such a caliber were essential to his growth and survival. As predicted when Aina’s palm shot out towards him at lightning speeds Takeo found himself just able to anticipate the linear strike and manage once again to swat aside the hand, barely redirecting the palm as it scraped against his abdomen. Simultaneously he counter attacked, slashing downward with the wakizashi. This time it was Aina whom was ready to counter, deftly evading and swiping the blade out of the way, sending it sprawling from the man’s grip and off to the side.

As the woman eloquently twirled around him, their movements countering one another in perfect harmony Takeo couldn’t help but feel the connection they had transcend into combat. In a matter of seconds they had learned each other’s patterns of offense and defense, moving in a rhythm that traded counter for counter. Facing one another again he noted her shift in stance, the trademark and legendary form of the Hyuuga’s 8 divinations of the palm style. Like a cobra her hands shot out, fingers aimed like daggers at the invisible chakra points of his body. It was not the first time he had seen the technique, this combined with his own remarkable reflexes allowed him to at least attempt to stave off the attacks. Initially a few strikes were narrowly evaded or redirected though like a stream flowing around a boulder Aina continued to advance, spinning, angling her body and finding ways to make up for the missed strikes. Before long she was landing more jabs than were blocked or evaded, her speed ramping up as her trained body streaked through the motions of the practiced sequence. Throughout it all Takeo couldn’t have been more excited or impressed. Despite having managed to match her movement speed Aina’s masterful precision and sheer number of attacks eventually overwhelmed his defenses, barraging him with tenkestsu blocking finger jabs. However the man wasn’t entirely defeated, while most would be rendered immobile after such an attack Takeo braced himself, bearing the pain and waiting for the perfect opportunity to counter attack. It came at the end of the sequence. Naturally as Hyuuga completed their 8 divinations attacks they tended to pause for a moment, relaxing their guard as their opponent typically reeled in pain and collapsed. Slouching forward he would feint an uppercut and then surge forward, twisting his body as he focused all of his power into a lunging straight right aimed at the woman’s solar plexus. If struck it would be enough to collapse ever the strongest of opponents.

The moves of Aina's strikes were something she'd memorized almost from infancy, given her own raising in the clan, but in most cases Aina hadn't used them much in actual combat or even sparring. The closing of tenketsu had always seemed like such a cheat to the woman and she had always hated it to a degree. But against Takeo she knew this wasn't a cheat, the man's physical prowess was simply amazing and not just in the bedroom. His stamina was something to be envied, as was his ability to take a hit and yet keep moving. She knew she had to go absolutely all out against the man just to keep the playing field even, and that was exactly what she was doing.

Her movements flowed not just with a memorized precision but her own lean build lent to it as a dancer's grace as she went, smile on her face as she moved. Even as he had blocked or evaded the early strikes she had managed to smile through it all, if only because he was showing how strong he truly was. Yet before long her strikes seemed to overwhelm him and they began to hit, one after another, and after another.

Yet her body still flowed from one strike after the next, but as her move concluded she did indeed pause. The woman knew better, at his pique she should have expected him to get right up even if every strike landed true, and not every strike had. He remained standing and lashed out at her with what seemed to be a punch and Aina took a step back to avoid it, but only played into the feint as such.

His other fist had only momentarily been unnoticed but it was enough that Aina knew she couldn't fully dodge it. She adjusted herself as a hand went under her forearm and drew out a brass knuckle into her right hand. She would use his feint and strike against him.

He might not have hit her solar plexus, but his fast slammed into her rib as her left hand came down and grabbed his wrist, even as her ribs gave an audible crack as two of them snapped clean and like at least one other was bruised. She grimaced but held on, her right hand coming in towards his face with a hard right hand punch, brass knuckle in place. It would be her last attempt to strike the man.

Kūgāpou: Slight Dodge
D-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the user will manipulate their body slightly. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs, causing as minor damage as possible.

*Fuuinjutsu • Tattoo
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.

Kūgāpou: Hunter's Prediction
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
By observing a weapon's movement through the air and having a deep understanding of weaponry in general, the user is capable of predicting a weapon's trajectory. This jutsu is especially effective when the user saw the actual moment the weapon was launched, as seeing the movement of the weapon wielder provides crucial information. If they don't see the action of the weapon being launched, they still have minor prediction over the weapons trajectory, but are incapable of accounting for high level taijutsu that may be applied to the throw/strike.
