Culture and Economy
Culture
Fire Country has a strong traditional culture rooted in the foundation by its two political families. Throughout the lands there are several different smaller families that are known as the mercantile families. These families run majority of the exports in the country, typically hosted by farmers within a lower class of families. Due to this setup, unemployment and poverty are rare to be seen in Fire Country. The economic set up has created different levels of class in which order from; Political, Mercantile, and Farmer classes which have a hierarchy of respect designated towards them. Most people in Fire Country hold some sort of tea time throughout the day, in celebration of their partnership and friendly relations with Tea Country. As well as its served at every important gathering or event held throughout the country. Besides the nations love of tea, Fire Country holds a strong respect for the males in the household holding them predominately as the leaders in the households. However while rare most people are indifferent to females leading a household, pending they are a widow, or single mother.

Most places in Fire Country hold a tradition every 15 years to celebrate the inauguration of the new leader of Fire Country elected upon by the political families. These are held privately in the households, however in towns and cities they are celebrated publicly in the town squares with vendors, music, and other performances. Fire Country especially has a strong hand in the business of theatricals celebrating actors with the utmost respect. They are seen as master performers, a perfectionist in their craft. It takes most Fire Country actors a minimum of 5 years of training before they are seen in any professional theaters in towns and cities. Some starting at the mere age of 6 years old. Theatrics are regarded as some of the most beautiful forms of entertainment there is to be seen in Fire Country, a large array of professional actors and actress currently live and reside in major cities and towns. They are accounted in the higher mercantile class.

While theatrics are not only celebrated in Fire Country, so are military veterans and active military samurai a-like. They are regarded as apart of the lower political families class, being celebrated with the utmost respect as well. Most samurai are given a pension after their service seen as a form of gratitude for serving their country proudly, pending they are discharged in a formal gratuitous fashion. Once every 3 years Fire Country hosts samurai parades in their towns in cities in which active samurai units parade around the town demonstrating their skill in the drill platoons to give the civilians a sense of spectacular display of force. While also veterans would be celebrated for their service, and paraded around the town as civilians gave thanks for their service.

Overall Fire Country is considered a very traditionalist country, with over arching tiers of respect and classes dominating the field. It is still none-the-less a pleasant and quite fun exciting country to experience with the parades, celebrations, culinary arts, and theatrical performances.
Economy
Fire Country has a strong mercantile culture rooted in the foundation by its two political families. Throughout the lands there are several different smaller families that are known as the mercantile families. These families run majority of the exports in the country, typically hosted by farmers within a lower class of families. Due to this setup, unemployment and poverty are rare to be seen in Fire Country. Fire Country's main export is rice, beans, plantains, timber, and cotton. These exports allow Fire Country to support and maintain a very productive trade with Tea Country. In which supplies Fire Country with tea, and other exports fielded on the island countries. Their exports also allow them to import the necessary steel, oil, and external resources that Fire Country otherwise wouldn't be able to support.

Fire Country is also seen as a trade hub for other close countries, also as a safe haven due to its large standing military it is able to secure more trade routes than other nations. With this security combined with its trade hub abilities, Fire Country stands as a very productive nation receiving taxes from goods passing through the country, and the countries markets prospering. As Fire Country doesn't hold many restrictions on their trade believing in a free market, they do hold strict property taxes and sales taxes requiring all markets to hold strict records on their sales and land purchases. However due to the massive amount of trading done within the country, this balances out and isn't restrictive against the populace. The only things Fire Country restricts are illicit drugs and explosives deemed harmful to the populace. Placing restrictions, and requiring licenses for the handling of certain explosive substances.

While also believing in free trade, Fire Country tries to handle weaponry in citizens hands lightly by not being too restrictive. However they do require those selling weapons to require a license, yet the license itself is difficult to obtain. Seeing it as a privilege and not a right, it requires a clean record, as well as 10 years of experience as a blacksmith, and a trial period of 5 years inspection by a government official as a general blacksmith not in weaponry. However being a private blacksmith for the military requires much less just little of 5 years of experience and dedication to serving the military with a contract. This resulted in most blacksmiths being military veterans, continuing their craft. However only 2% of all blacksmith veterans turn to weaponry, most turn to other means such as furniture, agricultural tools, and tools in general.

Government
Political Families
Fire Country like some countries is ruled by a bi-dynasty, primarily two families that it fluctuates between being ruled by a leader every so often. These political families are known as the Harukatsu and the Toshikane. These families have existed since the beginning of time, which ended up originally as political strife between the two. Causing a civil war in Fire Country known as the warring states period in which the two families fought fervently over the land which lasted from the year 0 to the year 220. The two families would hire ninja clans, solely the Senju and the Yamanaka. The Harukatsu favoring the Senju while the Toshikane favored the Yamanaka. Blood would be spilt for the 220 years the conflict lasted which resulted in an estimated 4 million deaths, those of the Senju and Yamanaka bloodlines counted as well.

The Harukatsu and Toshikane families would eventually find peace in a treaty in which the two would agree to co-ed rule Fire Country, electing a Daimyo between the two families every 15 years by the people of Fire Country as a sign of trust and friendship. While the two agree'd to a treaty, the ninja clans of the Senju and Yamanaka were left out of the agreement. This period is known as the warring clans period in which the Fire Daimyo would act as a diplomat for both the Senju and Yamanaka clans since the two were still left with sore relations. During this time the Fire Daimyo was also setting up relations with newly established Tea Country which resulted in a beneficial trade between the two, as Fire Country's year round growing periods allowed them to establish successful tea leave farms to trade with Tea Country increasing their profits, as well as free trade between the two countries. The two families had differing ideas and had decided on coming on a consensus of agreeing to guard Tea Country while also allowing them to retain their independence.
Harukatsu:
The Harukatsu are a strongly laid back family preferring to live and let live. That is until their rule comes into question in which they become extremely angry responding with rash decisions and fiery reactions. Their leadership style has demanded respect from the smaller lords in the region that answer to the Fire Daimyo, and has provided quick and effective results. The Harukatsu family leadership goes as follows.
  • Tōshu - The Family Head, typically in charge of the entire family, as well as grooming a proper candidate for the Fire Daimyo seat. The Toshu also manages the finances of Fire Country, taking over the tasks that concern the economy acting as a cabinet member.
  • Kazoku no ōji - The Family Prince, typically the next in line to take over the family head if something were to happen to the current one. As well as the one in grooming to be the Fire Daimyo. He manages local relations with the villages and local lords, typically acting as a diplomat to gain support for his political journey to Fire Daimyo.
  • Kazoku no komon - The Family Adviser, typically the one used as a diplomatic head sent in coordination with the Toshikane family's adviser to mend or form diplomatic bonds with the surrounding countries. He specializes in economic and trade agreements.
Toshikane:
The Toshikane are a strongly formal family, with traditions and heirlooms dating back to the beginning of time. They follow these traditions with the utmost respect, and with the utmost formalities to a T, never breaking a stride. The Toshikane directly contradict the Harukatsu family's style of leadership, being cool, collected, and level headed thinking completely logical. This helps strengthen their leadership as the two keep each other in check, one being the emotional side, the other being the logical side. The Toshikane have a family leadership style similar to the Harukatsu family.
  • Shu chichi - Lord Father, is the name of the families leader in charge. He handles all tradition ceremonies, and manages the Fire Country's military. Acting as a head of the military cabinet member. He is also in charge of grooming a proper Fire Daimyo candidate.
  • Omo no musuko - Lord Son, is the name of the families prince, who is next in charge. He is also the candidate for Fire Daimyo when the time arrives to vote one into power. He acts as a military diplomat in charge of maintaining military strength in different regions of Fire Country.
  • Shu ojisan - Lord Uncle, is the name of the families adviser. Used as a diplomatic head sent in tandem with the Harukatsu families adviser to mend or form diplomatic bonds with surround countries. He specializes in military agreements in treaties.
