[Red Alert] Go Go Godzilla

Post by Nick » Sat Aug 18, 2018 12:01 pm

All was peaceful in the land of Fire Country. Trade was booming, the birds were singing, the people were only mildly oppressed by whoever their local tyrant was, and all seemed right. Unfortunately, the nature of the universe needed things to balance out, and as soon as things went right, something else had to go wrong, too, to provide balance and leave the world in somewhat of a neutral state.

This time nothing special really happened to balance it out though, and as time passed, it got better, and better, and then suddenly, it didn't. It simply stopped getting better. That's when things got worse.

To the far east of Fire Country, right near their border with Whirlpool, the waters stirred. The swirls common near the waters of whirlpool country all seemed to stop for a moment, as out of the water rose something monstrous, terrible in both appearance and size, its eyes near the top of its head, leading way to massive snout which seemed to contain rows and rows of razor sharp teeth, and it continued to rise still, taller than the tallest buildings that most anyone had seen, easily rivaling the mountains of Rock Country.

The beast was slower moving, at least in terms of how fast it moved from point A to point B, but it stomped on villages, and reportedly breathed fire as well, setting the countryside alight. Who could possibly stop something like this?

Takeo couldn’t believe the reports when they first came in. As Hokage he had defended the village against a number of threats in the few years he had been in power, from S-rank missing nin to Elemental spirits several hundred meters tall but this creature was said to dwarf such beings several times over. As soon as the destruction was verified messenger birds were sent out to Kumogakure requesting aid. The Kazekage wouldn’t be able to arrive in time to assist but the worlds fastest man and newly acquired ally of the leaf could become the difference between whether Konoha survived this rampage. The two villages had begun building a trade route within Whirlpool Country, adding even more relevance to the need to bring this creature down before it wreaked any more havoc on the desolate country or grew bored and turned for more lively prey. Wasting no time Takeo geared up in his combat attire before slipping on his Hokage robes. His pair of ANBU bodyguards would follow him from a distance, promptly being left behind as Takeo surged away from the village. Within a matter of hours he had reached the border of Fire Country and from there he rested briefly, satisfied that the Country he had been sworn to protect had not yet been marred by this monstrosity. Gathering his strength and allowing his allies to arrive at his position, Takeo assessed the thunderous sounds in the distance. The creature was less than 20 kilometers away, towering over buildings, forests, streams and hills he could see it clearly from his position within a 30-meter tall tree.

Before he had been a shinobi of any repute Takeo had spent many hours hunting and spotting prey from a distance, he was quite adept at gauging sizes relative to one another and yet as he stared upon this spirit he found that he was second guessing himself. “This bastards got to be over a thousand meters tall…how the hell do you bring down something like that?” he muttered to himself. Ordinarily he wouldn’t outwardly show his doubt in the presence of comrades, not in the face of a threat such as this, but these two men were very close to him, not simply faceless ANBU agents, one was a dear friend and former Genin rival and the other the Sensei whom had first instructed that squad. “Carefully. Keep chipping away at its base and even the biggest trees will fall. We don’t have to kill it, just stop its movements” surmised the man in a green badger mask, Takeo’s former Sensei, Senju Toshiaki. “I don’t think that will be enough. We need to know what kind of damage we can even do to this thing, hit it as hard as we can and go from there. It must have some weaknesses or vulnerable areas. The Raikage will be most suited to inflict damage while we keep it occupied” Spoke the man in a red mask designed in the likeness of a bird, his crimson eyes peered through the small openings in the mask. Awai Masuru, otherwise known as Shujaku.

The Hokage took the advice of his comrades to heart, they were right of course. “As much as I’d like to wait for Hayate we can’t afford to stand by for any longer. For all we know the messenger bird has been killed or intercepted. Keep your distance for now, I’ll test its defences myself.” He decided. With that he would advance, moving rapidly through the terrain as his allies followed behind up to a distance of 5 km away where they held fast at the best vantage point they could find. Once at a range of 1km, Takeo performed seals, encasing himself in the strongest defensive armor he was capable of creating. At the very least he was confident that he would now be able to withstand a few direct blows if need be. Following this he performed a much smaller sequence before pressing his hand to the ground, summoning forth a armor clad war bear whom typically towered over his opponents, however in this instance he wasn’t even large enough to be considered akin to a child toy in comparison to this adversary. “Give it everything you’ve got, this is going to be one hell of a fight my friend!” Takeo yelled, brimming with energy as he charged into battle alongside the powerful summon. He would keep speed with the bear before flanking to the left and as he neared the base of the Spirit he would begin performing another sequence of seals, he was counting on the creature to not even notice their presence until they attacked, in comparison they would appear like small rodents.

As Takeo neared the end of his sequence of seals Sesshoujin would raise his Warhammer and with all his might slam the weapon into the creature’s ankle. The amount of force the bear could generate was beyond anything that seemed physically possible, full mountain could crumble at such a thunderous impact and the resounding boom could be heard for miles but what effect would it have on a target as large and fearsome as this one? Whatever the reaction, if all had gone according to plan the beast would have little time to react as massive stone chains rose up beneath the opponent, nearly instantly enveloping its body, expanding to extraordinary lengths and tightening with remarkable power. Takeo had developed this technique as the ultimate capturing strategy, specifically meant to combat large summons or exceptional formidable S-rank shinobi.
Jutsu UsedShow
Earth Element • Titans Armor
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals Takeo will imbue his body with the properties of Doton chakra. At this level he is able to refine his chakra to merge with his skin on a cellular level, creating a flexible though incredibly dense armor that spans his entire body save for his eyes, spreading across his body at a speed of 30. As a result his skin will become visibly darker and stone-like in appearance, becoming invulnerable to all but the most powerful piercing or slashing attacks. The defensive matrix can withstand attacks up to 50 strength while also increasing the damage dealt by Takeo’s strikes as the density of his skin becomes akin to that of a diamond, meaning with sufficient force anything of less density is able to be shattered and destroyed. This technique can last a maximum of 8 posts and requires a significant amount of chakra to maintain.

*Ninjutsu • Spiritualism Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The base technique for summoning, the Spiritualism Technique allows users to bring forth their summons to fight on their behalf. Once an agreement has been made between the user and their summon, they will be able to use this technique to call upon it at any time unless stated otherwise. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, the user will experience a constant drain on their chakra for as long as the summon is in place. This drain is also dependent on the size and rank of the summon.

Doton • Legendary Chains of Imprisonment
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 45 Ninjutsu
This ultimate binding technique requires that Takeo be within 25 meters of the target. After forming the necessary seals up to 6 lengths of stone chain-links will blitz out of the ground at a speed of 50. Unlike some jutsu of this fashion the chains are not fully controllable. Rather they are aimed at a specific target and then they rapidly move to immobilize the target, automatically looping around arms, legs, waist and neck and even any weapons they might be wielding. The chains will pursue a target in a linear fashion though are unable to form complex maneuvers. These chains can extend as long as necessary in order to ensnare the victim depending on their height and girth; typically this technique is used as a last resort in order to ensnare opponents of remarkable physical abilities. Performing an additional hand seal will cause deadly spikes to grow from the chains, fully impaling the target. A strength of 40 is required to break free.

Sesshoujin:

*Shinden • Castle Gate Cutter
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 35 Strength
The user begins by assuming a Shinden stance, resting the back of the blade on a shoulder. The user then executes a highly damaging overhead slash combining every ounce of muscle torque the user can generate, which can be damaging to those without high endurance. In addition to its destructive force, the technique produces an air pressure with the slash that carries the force forward up to 5 meters at a speed equal to their strength, creating a three foot long and five inch wide 'air blade' that can cut with the same sharpness as a sword attack.

Godzilla had really just been minding his own business at the time, and probably would have gotten tired and went back into the sea to take a nap pretty soon if some jerks hadn't started attacking it.

Takeo would be correct, to the massive beast the Hokage and his companions would be nothing more than insects, not especially deserving his ire any more than that tree over there, which he did gently nudge with his foot, snapping it in half. Stupid tree. However, when jutsu began to be cast from Takeo, the beasts head would almost immediately turn into the direction of them. It would stare, more than anything, until the chains began to surround it.

When the chains broke free from the earth to start trying to tame the beast, it let out a mighty roar that would be like a cacophony to any other sounds in the area, drowning everything out, clearly it wasn't very happy. When the hammer struck the poor beasts foot, its roar would turn from one of anger to one of clear pain as the scales where the bear had hit cracked and splintered. This caused the beast to react with surprisingly quick movements, its foot breaking free of the chains surrounding it, attempting to swat at the bear (moving at 40 speed, 50 strength).

Then, Godzillas head would once more return to looking at the source of the chains, Takeo. Its mouth would open wide, and a pillar of flame would jet out, aiming to hit him directly, following him for at least a few seconds if he dodged. (Katon, 35 strength, 35 speed).

The Hokage’s eyes widened as Sesshoujin’s Warhammer collided with Godzilla’s ankle. He had never witnessed anything survive a full contact strike from the warrior bear, it was enough to cause notable pain, that was something. It meant that they could inflict damage at least, the outer scales too had been cracked and it stood to reason that repeated blows to the same spot could bring it down, even so. With that amount of strength serving as a basis, it meant jutsu were practically useless. Not that he wouldn’t experiment with a few different elements, attack types and combinations but the prospects didn’t look good. What was even more concerning was the speed at which the giant lizard monster responded. He had expected it to react at speeds comparable to an average Jounin at best and yet it could move its limbs almost as fast as his top running speed. Terrifying. His other companions would have to stay out of this fight or else meet certain death.

Sesshoujin reacted naturally when the beast broke free of the chains and lashed out at him with its foot. All he could do was block, using his own strength to brace the incoming force and lash out with a counter kick, stopping the force of the attack as the two monumental impacts thudded against one another, creating a visible burst of wind and another thunderous impact. The war bear would propel himself backward and skid against the ground a good 30 meters away. With Sesshoujin to the creatures left hand side, Takeo would be facing it directly, running towards the creatures right side as it aimed a stream of fire at him. As much as he wanted to continue to attack the weakened spot and layer attacks with Sesshoujin he had to act quick and he realized that if this Godzilla creature could utilize Katon and engage in ranged tactics then he had to split up and keep its attention drawn on him. ‘Katon too.Troublesome…I’d bet that means it’s resistant to fire and none of my Doton techniques have enough offensive strength, that just leaves Suiton and Fuuton.’ He assessed, forming handseals as he finished his train of thought.

He would close in on the creature’s right ankle, only 10 meters away before testing his attack. Spewing out a thin line of highly condensed water he would direct the line across the length of the creature's ankle, assessing to compare the kind of damage this type of attack could inflict, if any. His chakra reserves were quite sizable and so these types of attacks were a mere drop in the bucket for him, and though his Doton armor had taken a notable amount of chakra to create he was still just warming up in this fight.
Jutsu UsedShow
Takeo:
Pressure Cutter
A-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 30 Ninjutsu, 30 control
After forming the needed hand seals Takeo will fire a highly compressed one inch diameter stream of water from his mouth. The stream can travel up to 25m and moves at a speed of 25 with a cutting strength of 35. The water is so highly pressurized that is able to pierce and cut through stone and even steel with ease. This technique can be maintained for a maximum of two posts.

Sesshoujin:

*[Toryu • Counter Kick]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 5 Strength
The user of this technique will attempt to block the blow of his opponent with his blade, relying heavily on the durability of their weapon and their own strength to resist the strength of the opponent's attack. Should they be successful, the user will follow up with a swift kick to the target's chest or stomach to push them away and stun them, then follow up with a quick stab to the chest or stomach.

As Sesshoujin was forced to take nearly the entirety of the kick, even with his weapon acting as a sort of guard, the bear would be knocked back hard, sent flying through the air nearly fifty meters, before being knocked along the ground and skidding another fifty or so. Once more the creature would let out a mighty roar, deafening those around it in sheer volume, and as Takeo closed in once more to try his suiton jutsu, again the creatures attention would be drawn.

When the jet of water began to strike out at Godzilla, his foot would raise as though retreating from the attack (And as with the hammer blow, a few scales would crack because of it) before stomping down (40 speed, 50 strength) onto Takeo's position. If the man managed to dodge, the mighty stomp would still cause a localized earthquake up to 200m around Godzilla's foot, shaking anyone on the ground in that time with 40 strength, likely knocking them down and leaving them sprawling until the shaking ended.

The Raikage had started his day extra-early, a few dozen empty PET bottles of coffee already littered across his desk as he did paperwork. As the leader of the country the amount of paper work and administration he had to perform had hit an astronomical level. While he was not a fan of working so much, it all had to be done and generally on time. As he finished adding the tentens and carefully sizing the small tsus of his writing, a knock came at his door.

Looking to the door, he called out "Come- but got no further than the word before a joining burst through the door, falling to his feet in exhaustion. He held a scroll with the seal of the Hokage.. Just what was going on? He nodded to the man to excuse his rudeness and beckon for him to spill the beans.

"An attack sir, near whirlpool/fire country border..." the man said panting. Hayata spit up his coffee, and instantly prodded. "What in the heavens? " The man nearly lost it upon hearing that. An attack great enough to stir a request to Kumogakure meant something. "Perhaps you will not believe sir, but a creature that seemingly rivals mountains, levels villages in a step, and seems to be very quite powerful is rampaging."

Hayates eyes scanned the messenger up and down, finally locking on the scroll in his hand. The messenger nodded and opened it, approaching the Raikage with it showing outward. It was penned and sealed by the Hokage himself.

This... is bad.

Collecting himself as he put on his battle gear in preparation, he gave the order for Sky Guards and the Rescue/Medicine Corps to mobilize with him. Regardless of the outcome against the beast, it was going to leave damage. He would need good men to support that. When he finished, he would take off. With any luck, he would arrive right on time. The others would be significantly slower, and whatever people were in the area of Whirlpool he would command to not engage on the beast, but instead evacuate and rescue civilians instead.
By the time Hayate had reached the area, it was very clear where he had to go. As he approached he could see the beast, it towering over the skyline and making the village look like ant hills did to a man. The reports had been right that it was a giant reptilian, and worse... It was actually a little terrifying.

Suddenly his body became blue in color as his chakra surged all around him.

10 seconds to impact.

As the Raikage rapidly approached a brilliant golden coat of golden energy covered his body.... With full speed and force behind it he was barreling for the giant like a human bullet.

8 seconds.

Lightning began to streak off his body leaving a massive trail behind him everywhere- as if he was the lightning itself.

6 seconds

The Raikage was had become lightning itself. Each second he got faster, the lightning more potent.

3 seconds

His eyes locked onto his opponent. There was no sound, just the brilliant flash of lightning- behind it. Perhaps the others would notice.

1 second.

The Raikage left, the full force of his momentum coming forth in one quick as he flung into the leg, near the thigh, of the beast- who seemingly was going to stomp it's leg.

Impact

A massive explosion of Ration would release off of him- massive and forward, in addition to the kick that made the first contact. An extreme amount of energy in one hit. 1 second after. The Raikage had used his kick to bound of the beast, and was already flying back through the air. 2 seconds. Finally, the thunder would arrive. A massive rolling, cracking hit of thunder would fill the air- least the sound. The Raikage let out a cry.

It's okay- I've come!

USEDShow
Raiton • Heaven Shaking Thunder
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu
By channeling immense amounts of chakra into his body, Hayate will coat himself in an additional layer of ration chakra, concentrated enough to easily trigger a shocking effect by anyone who touches it, and having the same burning effect of Raiton • Chidori. If Hayate runs at a speed of more than 40, lightning streaks off his body, leaving a trail the size of his body with the full effects of the lightning that decays after 1 post. The true power of the technique however comes in the ability for Hayate to discharge a massive S(40) Rank Explosion outward from his body (so that he is unaffected by the blast) once during the duration of the technique, usually on impact. The total area covered by the explosion is 64x64x64m diameter with Hayate at it's epicenter. The explosion sends ration every where along with the explosive force, completely decimating the area of impact. The lightning disappears from the users body after 3 posts, or after the explosion is triggered. This technique earns it's name for the fact that, so long as the user is moving at over 40 speed, the technique itself makes absolutely no sound and is silent up until the explosion, where a massive crack of thunder is released that resonates for miles.

Lightning’s Shadow • Drop Kick
C-Rank Maneuver Taijutsu
A potentially risky but powerful technique, from a running start, Hayate will leap into the air attempting to kick an opponent in the ribs with both legs. Due to the sheer speed and momentum of the move, his kick will be delivered at [(Speed + Strength)/2] strength. If the kick successfully hits and is stronger than the target by at least 5 strength, this creates many fractures throughout the frame of the target (relative to the point of impact). If the target attempts to move past 2/3rds their speed, these fractures will fully break. If the target has 10 or less strength than Hayate, it can break their ribs with ease making movement very hard. The risk however comes that in, if Hayate misses, it means that his opponent can counter-attack a lot easier.

The Hokage noted the minimal damage done to Godzilla’s right ankle now. They were able to crack the scales, that was something but there was no telling just how many repeated strikes it would take to break through the scales completely or what kind of resistance the flesh beneath would have. Priority would be taking out its ability to walk, maybe even bring the creature to its knees and from there they could climb the mountainous opponent and strike away at its throat until a lethal blow was delivered. Without back up however Takeo doubted that he would have enough firepower or chakra for that matter to carry out his plan. Ideally, he would want a full squad of S-ranks, himself and 3 others from the leaf and the Raikage with his own or perhaps even the Kazekage if they could arrive in time. For something like this there was no such thing as overkill. What a time to be short staffed on Bannin.

He noted the creature raise its leg to counter attack and without hesitation the man in red and white robes cancelled his jutsu and turned to run, dashing away while looking over his shoulder, not wanting to take his eyes completely off such a fearsome foe. A flash of electricity caught his eye, something he could barely make out as it approached and then came the strike, a tremendous impact, perfectly timed and aimed, striking Godzilla’s thigh right as it brought its foot down to stomp. Turning suddenly, Takeo saw an opportunity and took it. He tactical mind was quick to come up with a follow up, he would crouch low as he formed handseals rapidly. With any luck the beast’s leg would seize up with paralysis, limiting the power and speed of its strike, regardless Takeo would brace for impact, keeping his center of gravity low and stabilized as he pushed through his handseal sequence before slamming his hands into the shaking ground. His own attack would overcome the tremors, proving far more force than even Godzilla had mustered as the ground beneath the beast’s right foot would split open, sending debris catapulting into its leg at 50 Strength as it likely fell into the sudden cavern. Considering its size, the canyon would just be enough to trap its foot, pinching its ankle in tight.

Assuming it had went according to plan, Takeo would advance. “Well timed Lord Raikage!” he would shout as loud as he could, forming handseals before stomping on the ground and causing spikes to emerge from the walls of the canyon, aiming to pierce into the beasts injured ankle at a downward angle, akin to that of a raccoon trap. He hoped to snare the beast and prevent it from moving, at least not without causing a great deal of trauma to its foot and ankle if it attempted to pull free. Meanwhile Sesshoujin, whom while stronger than Takeo did not have nearly the same amount of control over his body, would find it difficult to stand in the wake of the shuttering ground. The war bear would be crouched on all fours, taking a momentary breather as he waited for the rumbling to stop and an opportunity to attack to prevent itself. Many summons would have already retreated back into the spirit world and while he had sustained some scrapes and bruises he was a stubborn creature and a warrior to the core.
Jutsu UsedShow
Doton • Great Earth Flow Divide
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu
Even more powerful than its predecessor Takeo has taken this legendary jutsu to the next step. After performing the correct hand seals the user will slam their palm down on the ground. Their chakra will violently rend the ground tearing it apart in a 45 meter line at a speed of 30 with a strength of 50. The tearing is 20 meters wide and 25 meters deep, shooting dangerous rubble, rock, and everything on the ground into the surrounding air during the technique. Over all this causes great destruction, leaving a grand valley in its wake. Even standing near the path of this technique is quite dangerous due to the immense force of the flying debris.

Earth Element • Tomb of Impalement
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 30 Ninjutsu, 30 Control
After forming a series of hand seals Takeo will either press his hand against a cave/dome wall or slam his foot into the ground in the case of a ravine or tunnel. The result is an immense amount of spikes jutting in from all directions on the trapped opponent. The spikes are variable in size depending on the scale of the area in effect and move at a speed of 30. The maximum area covered by this technique is 100ft with up to 50 spikes being able to be formed at up to 15 feet long and five feet thick each. Each spike impales with a strength of 30.

Despite its proclivity for taking notice of chakra usage, the beast didn't seem to see it coming when the Raikage came flying through the air at ridiculous speeds, the lightning infused impact seemingly knocking it off balance as it let out another ferocious roar. Even as it seemed to slowly wobble, trying to catch itself on its one leg, its mouth would open wide, and a massive pillar of flame would jet out, razing down the countryside, immolating a small forest with ease as the fire continued in a line, before being loosed off in a non-specific direction, seemingly with no end.

Hundreds of millions of years later, hundreds of millions of light years away, the fire would still be going, killing the first signs of sentient and intelligent life on a new planet.

Just as it seemed Godzilla might regain his balance, the earth would open up in attempts to swallow his free foot. A good portion of his other leg would already be paralyzed, and the combination of multiple strikes against his solid leg, and it being grabbed, would cause him to once more wobble dangerously. Another mighty roar would be let free, and another blazing pillar of fire would loose itself from his maw, quickly tracing to the Hokage, sweeping back and forth over his position, and then over to the Raikage, doing the same for him. (Katon, 35 speed/str, sweeping back and forth at 40 speed)

Sadly, despite its mighty fire breath, it wouldn't be able to do much more from this position just yet, as it went down on one knee, one leg paralyzed, and the other stuck, though already partially broken free, his own weight from the fall causing a massive earthquake (40 str) in a 50m radius circle around him, and starting to tear him out of his bonds.

The Raikage felt a surge of energy and his eyes twitched to the beast. He had begun to recognize a pattern- a particularly useful one. The beast possessed a rather powerful and mildly terrifying ability- jets of insane flames that could pretty much destroy anything.  Time was slow for the man who moved fast, and as he watched the second blast of flame- seemingly a miss, he realized that a certain action or body movement preceded every blast. However, it came from it's head, and there was a cocking motion involved each time before it fired. Coming from the mouth also meant the direction was easy to figure. Not that it helped all that much. Except it did. Still slightly in the air from his bound off of the beast- he came back to it's leg as it wobbled, running down it. It was falling and was about to fire another blast.

Shit.

As he watched the beast's body began to move around the neck and it's shoulders, he darted down it's leg and lept off from the beast. He was fast as all hell. Really fast. Before the flames or the beast could fully fall, he'd bee-line for the Hokage, aiming to grab him and leap onto the other leg of the beast. It was crazy, but none the less their only option.  The beast likely wasn't to throw god blasts of fire at his own leg. And if he did, well, how long could he keep burning himself till it penetrated his scales and actually hurt himself? Hmm.

Hopefully if he got the Hokage to safety and kept him out of the line of fire, literally... the Hokage could continue to assault the beast. Hayate would start trying to move to it's side.

"We can make him bleed, I guess." he said as he would leap back for the other leg.  "Normally I'd say we should lead him away, but those blasts would still destroy everything. We have one option and that's to down him. I've ordered forces to evacuate the surrounding areas..." the Raikage said with a slight shortness of breath. "The ground is too dangerous and those blasts are too dangerous. I see we go on it's back or the neck...."

The only thing they could really do was take the thing down.

Lightning’s Shadow • Recognition
B-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Humans follow patterns and in combat this is no exception, ranging from taijutsu to hand seals. Patterns already being easier to remember, Hayate has worked hard at actively committing whatever he sees to his short-term memory. This allows him to remember things such as the beginning torque to a kick or a hand seal pattern after seeing it once, so that he can recognize the technique if used later in a battle, giving him an advantage in anticipating his opponents next action and effectively making an opponent’s consecutive usage of a technique a liability.

Lightning’s Shadow • Watchful Eye
A-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Prerequisite: 30 Tai, 35 Instinct
Possessing immense instinct and perception, Hayate is cognizant of even the most subtle details around him, to a point where he can even pick up on the slightest tension changes in an opponent’s body allowing him predict their movement before it is complete or even read what someone is writing by the way the top of their pencil moves. At times his eyes seem to move on their own will, rapidly tracking an amount of movements equal to his [Instinct]/3. A downfall to this technique however is that while his eyes may be aware of movement, his body is not always capable of knowing and keeping up.

Lightning’s Shadow • Arcing Nature
D-Rank Maneuver Taijutsu
In the case the Hayate needs to rapidly switch directions or move away from something without losing speed, by planting his next step firmly, Hayate will pivot on it allowing him to redirect himself and continue on his path without losing any speed. This is particularly useful for performing feints.

[Red Alert] Go Go Godzilla

Post by Izanagi » Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:41 pm

In a matter of seconds since the Raikage’s arrival the pair of Kage’s had managed to bring the monstrous beast to its knees, though this minor victory was short-lived. It would not stay down for long and certainly it would keep fighting. Takeo knew by now to expect heavy tremors and powerful streams of flame. The tremors would be slightly problematic, disrupting his own ability to attack to some degree and though his Doton armor would keep him from being burned to a crisp he still didn’t want to endure that kind of direct heat if he could help it. As Godzilla reared back to unleash another barrage of flames however Takeo noted the blurred movements of the Raikage as he rushed towards him. The man chuckled a little as he ran towards Hayate, allowing himself to get grabbed and carried off to the creature’s leg.

Takeo wasn’t sure if he should feel insulted or flattered that Hayate would deem it necessary to defend him. The bearded warrior chuckled lightly, “Thanks. This is a much more favorable position” he noted. At this close range Hayate would surely notice the deep brown layer of armor that had melded with the entirety of Takeo’s skin, creating a nigh impenetrable defensive network. While he was sure that hayate with his ration techniques would be able to pierce such a defense flames were of little danger to him, however he wasn’t sure if the armor would hold up against the seemingly unparalleled strength of this creature. Fortunately the Hokage was quite fast himself and had an array of options to keep himself out of harms way.

The Hokage nodded at Hayate’s assessment. As expected he was quick to analyze a situation, his plan was very much in line with his own thinking. “Agreed!” he shouted, wasting no time in channelling chakra as he ran up the back of the creatures thigh. Within moments the Hokage would draw his Wakizashi, flowing his chakra into the blade and extending its reach and cutting ability with a coating of Fuuton. Digging the blade against the creature’s scales the man would brace the grip of his sword with his left hand while holding it with the right, putting all his strength into slicing along the creature’s body as he powered through a sprint at his top speed. He would run in such a way up the entire back of the lizard monster before finally coming to the base of its neck where Takeo would he would make two diagonal slashes and a vertical one aimed to cross over the same spot before then stabbing his Fuuton enhanced weapon into the weakened area with all his strength, giving a mighty shout. Assuming he was able to penetrate the scales he would temporarily release his grip to form a series of handseals before once again grasping the weapon. The Fuuton aura around the blade would suddenly be enhanced dramatically and in quick succession it would be released into the creature in the form of a massive cutting blade which would extend to a height of 15 meters vertically along its neck before projecting itself into the creatures flesh with 35 strength and Speed where it would aim to slice through tissues and cause a gaping gash in that would run 30 meters deep.

At this point the Hokage would be breathing much more heavily himself, though he was prepared to keep fighting, anticipating that while this attack would wound the creature significantly it would not be quite enough to deliver a killing blow. Sesshoujin meanwhile would charge in once more, slamming his war hammer against the cracked scales of the beasts paralyzed left ankle. Relentlessly he would continue his onslaught, delivering 50 strength blows with the fury of a wild beast going into a blood rage. The armored bear would begin panting heavily though would give every once of strength he had to break the lizards ankle. He knew that his involvement was instrumental in containing this terrifying opponent and that his time to act was limited to the extent of the paralysis, less he simply be kicked away once more. There was a limit to how much injury he could sustain after all.
Jutsu UsedShow
Takeo:
*[Toryu • Earthshaker]
A-Ranked Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 35 Strength
A devastating dash attack known for its ability to cause tremors in the earth, the user will take a brief moment to ready themselves, digging their foot into the ground and building up power in their leg. Then in a burst of movement, the user will kick off into a dash so hard that the force they put into the earth actually causes the ground to rumble with tremors radiating out to 15 meters, causing anyone with a Taijutsu stat 10 or more underneath the user’s strength to struggle with standing or moving even at a walking pace. This makes the perfect cover for the Toryu user to charge into battle headfirst as it makes it more difficult for those who aren’t taijutsu practitioners to retaliate against their advance.

*Fuuton • Flying Swallow
A-Ranked Fuuton Nintaijutsu
Prerequisite: Sharp Weapon
Focusing wind type chakra to his or her blades, the user of this technique is able to enhance the sharp quality of their wind-element chakra, invisibly extending the reach of the weapon by up to 1.5m. The cutting edge given to the weapon has a strength of 25. This technique lasts for 3 posts.

Fuuton • Blade of Fujin
S-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After forming hand seals the user will place their hand on a bladed weapon, shrouding it in an aura of Fuuton. The next time the user swings their blade they will then be capable of releasing a highly refined and massive blade of wind towards their target. The wind expands like a disk when launched, remaining 1 inch thick but growing to 15 meters in height and 30 meters in length spreading out from the path of the slash. This blade of wind travels at a speed of 35 and impacts with 35 strength, delivering a deadly precision cut capable of cleaving a person, ship or even a building in half.

Sesshoujin:

*Shinden • Titan's Grip
B-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: Shinden • Form Improvement, 25 strength, 25 Taijutsu
A stronger version of the Form Improvement technique, a user of this stance is capable of using their oversized weapon with such ease that the usual encumbrance of such large weapons are as if nothing to them. This allows a Shinden user to use their weapon with the same speed and control as a smaller, more easily controlled weapon, such as a ninjato or katana. The benefits of this are incredibly useful, as this allows a Shinden user to attack with incredible speed and accuracy without sacrificing their power, as well as block efficiently between blows.

[Red Alert] Go Go Godzilla

Post by Nick » Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:11 am

Godzilla needed a nap. Why couldn't these jerks leave poor, unfortunate Godzilla alone? She simply wanted to destroy a few small villages and go back into hibernation, never to be seen again, was that really too much to ask?

Instead, the poor creature was very clearly distraught, another ear shattering roar leaving its maw as it struggled to right itself completely in order to stand up again, even as the Hokage was carried away harmlessly. Its rage seemed to only grow with the seeming 'disappearance' of the two kage, to whom it would not be able to see, and their presence would hardly even be able to be felt as they rested on its leg. Still, the creature shook violently, and as the roar continued, it seemed the very air began to heat up and dry out, and from its mouth fire would once more emerge.

Not a beam this time, but rather an orb that seemed to first build up deep in its throat, and slowly work its way out as it expanded in size again and again at a rapid pace until it was larger than the giant lizard herself! The rage only built further as deep slashes began to work its way through her many scales, and while none yet seemed to penetrate deep enough to draw blood, it was clear that whatever natural armor the creature had couldn't possibly last much longer.

However, as the massive blows from the bear and from the Hokage began to reign in, especially on the creatures neck, the roar grew louder, the orb of fire grew larger, and it would aim the sphere of destruction downwards at an angle. It would loose from her mouth at [50] speed, before impacting with a force that felt like it must have shook the world. Somewhere on Shrimp continent, someone's fine china rattled off a shelf and shattered. As the orb impacted the ground, it would expand in a massive explosion, engulfing the entirety of the surrounding area in a surge of fiery doom that would prove inescapable for the average man. (a 45 strength explosion over a 150m area.)

Unfortunately for Godzilla, the two kage were no average men.

[Red Alert] Go Go Godzilla

Post by Taiga » Sat Mar 09, 2019 11:58 pm

As the Raikage moved, it seemed as if time itself distorted around him. In a matter of milliseconds he flung past the Hokage, his arms reaching out to grab him as he continued to the legs of the beast. His mind gave minimal focus to anything else, but he did happen to notice an almost stiffness, followed by a light chuckle from the Hokage. Perhaps he had offended the Hokage in his actions. The Hokage was equally as powerful as Hayate himself and did not really need defending. It certainly was a funny scene, but it could not be helped. It was just Hayate's nature to aid and protect his teammates.

"Apologies Tak, force of habit." the Raikage said as the pair finally skidded to a halt at the back of the monster. Without moving so fast he could notice a little better that the stiffness of the Hokage might not of been because he was a stiff but because the man's body was covered in a rocky armor. The Raikage began channeling chakra to his hands.

"Keep wailing into it, I'll hit it hard with Rai-" as the beast roared out and shook from the pain of it's endured blows and rage of being unable to hit the two men, a large orb of fire appeared from it's mouth. An attack like that could destroy the valley... it could destroy everything. Having already gathered raw chakra up, Hayate pivoted last minute, mixing and weaving and stretching his chakra in the manner one did to mold and manifest it as water.

The Raikage would release a massive dome of bubbles that built up, even as the flame orb did. It would blanket the area around them creating a dome of bubbles and locking them in. However powerful the orb, it would elementally dominate it, and defensively.

"It's not a known thing, but Raiton is my weakest element." the Raikage said as his aura turned from Lightning to water. It seemed that today, water would be the better skill to use for this battle.
USEDShow
Suiton • Manifest Water
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Hayate causes the chakra leaking out from each tenketsu point on his body currently to convert to suiton chakra. This causes Suiton • Aspect of Water to appear around him.

Suiton • Bubble Kingdom
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu
By channeling chakra into his palms and aiming them at the desired location within 35 meters, Hayate will release a torrent of bubbles that forms a dense dome, 150 meters in diameter, 5 meter thick, and 20 meters tall at a speed of 35. The dome has the ability to abosrb force from incoming attacks of up to 45 strength or less, capturing projectiles or solid objects that don't pop the bubbles inside of the walls. Due to the walls being made of bubbles, damage that breaks the walls only breaks that portion of bubbles, allowing whatever wasn't hit to remain. The wall lasts up to 3 posts unless dispelled earlier by the user or completely destroyed.

[Red Alert] Go Go Godzilla

Post by Izanagi » Sat Aug 10, 2019 8:46 pm

The Raikage certainly was impressive, he possessed the type of speed that Takeo deeply envied. As someone who started in Taijutsu the Hokage disliked the feeling of being physically outmatched, there were several individuals in Konoha whom boasted similar speed to Hayate and it was a marvel to watch and a wonder to spar against. Still, with a balanced approach to combat more often than not Takeo could hold his own even at high level match ups and when it came to Taijutsu matches often he was able to make up either a strength or speed deficit. A recent spar with the new Kazekage however reminded the man that some individuals were simply superior than him and some deficits he couldn’t overcome, even in close combat. ‘What else does he have up his sleeve?’ the man wondered as he attacked the beast. He noted the flames that were gathering, ‘Shit. Masuru, Toshiaki…’ he worried, diverting his gaze to the distant treeline. If an attack of that magnitude were to be unleashed the flames would spread wildly and surely his comrades would be put in danger as well as those nearby villages of the Fire country. ‘Dammit’ Takeo cursed himself for his lack of dedication to training Suiton ninjutsu. He had picked up the element many years ago and had previously relied on it quite heavily though since becoming Hokage he had done little to improve his skills with Suiton, instead focussing on improving Katon and honing Fuuton to devastating levels. Perhaps it was time to go back to his roots and really enhance his fundamental skills, even his taijutsu had room for improvement.

He would have to rely on the Raikage to deal with the flames, “Hay-" he began before suddenly a large barricade of bubbles emerged all around them. Sticking his sword deep into the beasts neck as the blade of wind tore into its throat, Takeo marveled at the construction of the Suiton jutsu. “bubbles, and a formation this large. I never considered something like that” he mumbled to himself. His handful of defensive Suiton jutsu were only large enough to protect himself or maybe a handful of others. It was clear that Hayate was a man who was well prepared for large scale combat and whom always had the safety of civilians in mind. Whereas Takeo had been training to kill S-Rank Missing nin, Hayate seemed perhaps more adept at protecting a village. For a man whom prided himself on being prepared for almost any situation it seemed the Hokage had a great deal more to consider. “Thank you, Hayate” he breathed in relief. His people would remain safe for the moment. As the massive explosion of flames burst forth Takeo released his summon Sesshoujin, for the bubble shield would prevent the flames from escaping but that still left the problem of trapping the combatants inside the area of effect. Fortunately the Doton armor infused with Takeo’s skin would be enough to protect him from the flames and it seemed Hayate had seamlessly switched his lightning aura with one of water, an impressive skill. Hopefully the aura would be strong enough to withstand the heat and explosive flames. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath before the flames consumed him, Takeo would buckle down, crouched with feet firmly affixed to the reptiles scales as he let go of his sword, jammed hilt deep into the creature as his blade of wind cut it up from the inside. Even with his armor Takeo could feel the immense heat, burning away at his clothes and hair.

Performing a rapid set of seals the flames assailing his precious Kage cloak were suddenly extinguished as a ripple of Fuuton chakra surged out around him in a 30 meter radius, enveloping the reptlies mouth and nostrils in the process. All oxygen in the area would suddenly be forced out, leaving the flames unable to continue to burn as well as slowly sapping away at the large reptiles stamina. If attacking its body couldn’t quite bring it down then perhaps limiting its ability to function in the first place might have greater effect. Moreover, covering the beasts mouth in the oxygen voided area should also prevent it from manifesting any further bursts of fire. It really was surprising he hadn’t thought of this earlier, though Takeo was the type to prefer to get his hands dirty over taking the easy approach. Before the jutsu could negatively affect him he would channel chakra into his chest, supplying his lungs with the precious oxygen they would have soon craved.
Jutsu UsedShow
*Fuuton • Gentle Caress of Suffocation
A-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
Once the user has performed the required hand seals, it is recommended that they take a deep breath. This is because their fuuton chakra will visibly surge outward to cover an area of 30m in all directions around their person. While this does not create a vaccuum or remove all the air, it does push specifically all of the oxygen out of the area and keeps it that way for 5 posts, though the duration can be extended if the final hand seal is held. Note that extending the duration will incur additional chakra costs. This technique causes all who remain within this area to lose 5 stamina per post that they do not escape it. If they reach 0 stamina, they will black out. The stamina regenerates at a rate of 5 per post that they are outside of this technique's effect.

Fuuton • Deep Breath
C-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
Prerequisite: 20 Control
Through much dedication and chakra control Takeo has learned to channel Fuuton chakra into his lungs, supplying raw oxygen without the typical properties of Fuuton. This effectively allows him to breathe without needing to inhale or exhale for a short time making it an incredibly useful technique for stealth purposes. He can maintain this technique for a maximum of 4 posts before needing to breathe normally again.
