Having the entire weekend to her disposal, Uta pumped up her motivation a notch; aspiring to expand her knowledge in the Katon Arts. After all she was already capable of using intermediate grade Hiton Ninjutsu, leading the woman to scoff at the idea of finding difficulty with simple Katon techniques. A knock suddenly erupted at the door, snapping the girl out of her contemplating day dream. With her previous break in, Uta resolved the situation by secluding herself deep within the outskirt's of Konohagakure. Taking proper precaution, she looked through the door's peep hole; sighing in relief to see it was a friend from Academy day's. "Come on Uta, it's freezing out here!" Moaned Yumei, continuing to knock against the wooden door.

After exchanging a few greeting's between each other, both girl's moved to the dining quarters. Yumei showed Uta the fundamental hand seal's required to perform her first Katon Technique; though for this particular technique, more requisites were mandatory than expected. Clasping her hands together, the Awai focused while inhaling and exhaling; calmly maintaining her Chakra. Yumei spoke up quietly whispering, "Good Job Uta! Continue to mold the Chakra inside of you, building it up before expelling it out all at once!" Although her motivation seemed to frustrate Uta, she continued to remain focused. She could feel Chakra building up within her, rapidly increasing by the second. It was time to see if her friend's wisdom paid off, inhaling deeply as she clasped her hands together; forming various hand seals to assist molding her Chakra. Upon the final hand seal, Uta released the Chakra within her as a small burst of flame emitted from her mouth. She'd clasp her hands over her mouth before glancing back to Yumei, who was laughing hysterically at this point.

Even more frustrated, Uta's cheeks grew rosy red with embarrassment. She couldn't take such a failure of an attempt as her final result, so she tried again and again... Hours passed before the Awai nearly emptied her Chakra reserves, screaming in dismay to what she could be doing wrong. "This is getting pathetic! If I don't get this down soon I swear I'll come unraveled. Uta huffed, crossing her arm's as she glared up to her friend. "Yumei! It might help if you give me an example of what I'm supposed to be doing rather than explaining it..." With that said, Yumei rolled her eye's agreeing to her "absurd" suggestion. While monitoring her hand seals, Uta noticed that instead of her second one being the ox seal stated previously; she alternated it out for the ram seal.

She blankly stared at Yumei for several moments, both silently glaring at each other with no expression. Uta once again clasped her hand's together, inhaling deeply as she replicated Yumei's previous example; exhaling a one foot in diameter fireball directly at her. As instant as the Awai's hand seals were, Yumei found herself impaled by the flaming vessel; knocking her back forcefully against a wall. Uta felt no remorse for her friend, towering over Yumei with the same previous unsatisfied facial expression. "You fool..." She mumbled downwards, "You were showing me the WRONG hand seals! No wonder why I couldn't properly mold my Chakra..." Yumei laughed off one of Uta's notorious lash-outs, congratulating her on successfully pulling off the Fireball Technique. Although her journey to mastering Katon had only just begun, Uta already dreaded what further difficulties stood in her way with such an "elegant" teacher to assist.

[Jutsu Training] Basked in Solitude.

Hinoiri had made a habit of wandering outside the Leaf Village in recent days. Once again, she'd found herself on the outskirts of the village, simply roaming around with no real goals or plans for the day. Just a young ninja exploring the world, armed with nothing but her intellect and her curiosity. It has only been about a week since her academy graduation, and as she awaited her first mission and team assignment, she found herself with a lot more time than she was used too. She spent much of her time training at the Hyuuga complex, and although she thoroughly enjoyed it, it was always nice to get a little break from the monotony.

She stopped to grab some sweet dumplings from a street vendor, thanking the old woman as she handed Hinoiri her later afternoon snack. Hinoiri started nibbling on her dumplings, turning away from the town square and walking down a more rural section of the village, with just a few houses and cottages in the midst of the brush, spaced a good ways apart. It was such a nice quiet area, Hinoiri was sure she'd enjoy living here, amid nature. It was so tranquil....... it was.

Hinoiri heard a rather loud thud coming from one of the houses in the distance. Although the loud thump could've been a number of things, Hinoiri was familiar enough with the world she lived in to come to the only reasonable conclusion; there was some ninja training going on.

She quickly scarfed down whatever remained of her dumplings, running over to the source of the noise. She could hear a slight bit of commotion going on inside. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, Hinoiri activated her Byakugan, using it's penetrative abilities to peer through the wall. Inside, she could see 2 elder kunoichi, with some slight charring on the walls of the room they were in. "They must be training Katon... Interesting."

Katon techniques were synonymous with the Hidden Leaf Village, and it was a style that Hinoiri was very eager to learn. Being a Hyuuga, she was made to focus on her clan's techniques, and learning the intricacies of her kekkei genkai. To her chagrin, she'd inherited her father's Wind affinity, and although she knew that she'd master Fuuton in time, she wasn't sure when she'd get another chance to learn anything about Katon. She had to jump at this chance.

In an effort to save her energy, and to not give away that she was creeping on them through the walls, Hinoiri deactivated her Byakugan, and gathered her courage, walking up to the front door of the house. She knocked on it a few times, waiting to introduce herself to her fellow kunoichi.
