Chapter OneShow
The sun was beginning to rise and Izaki was going to rise with it. All the belongings he deemed worthy were packed in a backpack the evening before and left under his window. He was planning on making a swift escape to the little adventure he was going on. His eyes opened the second the sunshine fell onto his closed eye lids and he hopped out of bed, as if he has been preparing himself throughout the night. The usual apparel was thrown on and he made his way towards the window, while reaching for his favorite scroll.

Upon unraveling it, he grabbed his brush and dunked it into the small pot of ink which was attached to his scroll and began painting a great hawk. After a few strokes, the artwork was ready and once a special hand gesture was formed, it escaped the bindings of the scroll and hovered outside the window. Izaki placed all his tools back where they belonged and threw his backpack onto his shoulders. He had to have one last look, after all, he was not going to see this place for a couple of weeks, maybe months. He turned his head and let out a sigh; he knew he was going to be a little home sick.

Finally, he placed his foot onto the sill and leapt onto the artwork outside. Suddenly the bird began flying up at great speeds, but the boy was accustomed to this and adapted a stance which would prohibit him from losing his balance. He flew up, up high enough until he was able to see for miles in each direction before he finally turned to the area he was heading to. It wasn’t visible just yet, this was a great reminder of how vast his home village was. He took the backpack off his shoulders and sat down. He was going to do a lot of that soon, so he wanted to make the most of this opportunity.

The place he was heading to was dangerous, full of creatures that were more likely to eat a person than play. He was doing to test himself in ways he had not; testing his survival skills along with his individual shinobi traits. He felt the pounding in his chest, that he was not sure how to interpret. Only time would tell whether it was sheer excitement or fear, the one thing that he did know; excitement and fear were handy feelings to have, if controlled. Suddenly the bird began to descend from the sky as they neared their destination. Izaki stood up, once again adapting his stance and throwing the bag onto his shoulders. He could see the sign hung above the gate, it read ‘Forest of Death,’ and below it a sign written in a font which was more intimidating; ‘Forbidden – Keep OUT’. The boy found it strange that, although entry was forbidden, it had a gate.

The gate was now behind them and Izaki was keeping an eye out for a good place to land and set up camp. He was amazed at how dense this forest was, at this rate he would have to make his way down by hopping into the top of a nearby tree and climbing down, he did not like that idea. Gathering some intelligence on the area, to find out why exactly this place was forbidden was his priority at the moment. It was time for him to see how agile he was on Takashi. The bird did a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree twist and began flying down into a small opening of trees. Suddenly, the nice warm atmosphere he was in changed. This place was damp, murky, wet and the stench was unbearable. But he could not let himself turn back now, he had to do this.

The canopy was dense. This was the first time he had to maneuver Takashi in such a way; left, right twist, drop, invert and drop, up, along. His stance changed, he was now crouched down, and his eyes were protecting his face, this wasn’t the speed he was normally used to and he didn’t want to get something in his eyes. Suddenly, he was caught on his shoulder by a branch he didn’t see and fell off the bird but managed to grab a hold of it.

‘Whew, that was close,’ the bot let out, reaching for his chest to feel his heart racing. A strange sensation shot through his body and he looked around. He was ascending, he did not know how, he did not know why. Looked up and noticed that the branch didn’t exactly have the features a branch has, it was smooth and slightly slimy and at the other end was a head of a creature.

‘A snake!’ the boy roared, and his voice trembled due to his situation. The tail flicked and he was sent flying towards the other end of the creature, its mouth opened. Izaki reached for his sword and gathered his elemental affinity around its blade. The energy could be seen radiating from it, and it had a white glow it; two hands were griped around the handle and Izaki positioned the blade in a piercing formation. The sword stabbed through the alveolar ridge and the noise the snake made as a result terrified the boy who was desperately trying to keep his cool. Another flick and the boy were once again sent flying, this time in the opposite direction. He saw that he was heading towards a tree and the impact would hurt. He extended his free arm in order to take some of the force of the impact, and instinctively gathered his chakra to attach himself to the tree.

Bang, his hand made contact which sent a great deal of pain through his arm, giving him a ‘dead arm.’ His foot was placed against the tree to give himself more attachment and improve his maneuverability. The sword was still in hand and radiating with energy; he looked up and saw the snake placing itself in a way that suggested violence, but that was not it. Another head appeared on a nearby tree, this one was a lot smaller than the original, but it moved quicker and slithered to a place beside the larger snake.

‘That must be the parent,’ Izaki said as he considered his options. He could carry on fighting and test himself, but he did not know what else this place had in store for him, for all he knew there could be more of these in the area. As he thought the situation through, yet another appeared, this one was the same size as the other, thus confirming his observation. Taking the risk was not worth it, he knew he had to back off for now, but the creatures were not waiting the idly. They spaced themselves out and were preparing themselves to attack. Izaki sheathed his sword and reached for the scroll. He unraveled it and began painting; this was much harder to do in the current context. He carried on glancing up to see what the creatures were up, they extended forwards simultaneously aiming for the boy. This was going to end badly unless he did something, so he propelled himself downwards, using the gravity to increase his speed. As he did so, one of the snakes brushed past him, catching his bag, and ripping it completely off. He couldn’t do anything about it, he was falling, and his painting wasn’t finished. He brought his knees up so they were parallel with the ground and used them to stop the scroll fluttering around. The ground was getting closes and closer and his heart was racing, as it should be, he was falling and had no way of stopping himself unless he managed to finish his drawing. The ground was getting closer as he struggled to finish his jutsu. But suddenly, a quick hand seal and the painting came alive, catching the boy on its back and flying off into the distance. The boy turned around and watched as the snakes slithered down the tree and began following him.

‘We’ll be seeing them again, Takashi,’ he uttered as he turned to face the direction, he was flying in. His heart was still pounding but he couldn’t get sloppy, in fact he had to be more aware than he was previously, he did not want this to happen again. It was time to find somewhere he could rest, although after what he just witnessed, he wondered whether there was such a place in this forbidden land.
Chapter TwoShow
An eternity is to be considered a compliment when describing how long it took Izaki to find a barren spot of land. After some time of careful consideration, he came to the conclusion that it would be his safest bet to make camp there. Barren lands are not extremely popular for the very same reason they are named so. No animals would go there to feed, this means no predators would go there to feed, so this was his best shot at staying safe. Once his decision was final, the first thing he did was, gather resources for survival: wood, water, rocks, and whatever food he could find. Berries, snakes, rats, the occasional deer which was lucky enough to escape all the other predators. Izaki offered them a quick, clean death; instead of being devoured limb by limb.

Gathering wood and making it ready for building shelter was the trickiest past; the katana was not originally invented for tree felling, but he had to make do. So, he did, he would cloak his sword in the same radiating aura he used during his encounter with the beasts. This made the job flow smoothly in comparison to using it without. Once the big log was on the ground, he had to carefully separate it into planks of different widths and lengths, that he would use for the walls and roof; all of this using only his chakra infused sword, it was tricky to say the least.

Takashi was the usual companion throughout Izakis activities, once all the work on the planks was done, he would place them Takashis' back and fly them to his camp where he would drop them off and repeat until he had everything he needed. The fire was lit with a couple of snakes and rats roasting over it, the smell was not the greatest, but so far this was the best he could as there seemed to be a shortage of deer in the area. He has not seen a single one in days, so he had to feed on the poor, quality foods that were available.

It was time for him to begin the work on his shelter, after spending day sleeping under the open sky, he became excited about the idea of having some sort of security in place. He performed a short string of hand seals, bending and forming his hands in all sorts of ways and suddenly a figure began to latch off his body and took the form of his twin. He was going to need an extra pair of hands for this task, unfortunately Takashi was not up to this task. They began to lift the planks after a couple of ruts were dug for the sleepers to sit in, this would make the foundation of his little home. Both held their swords in hand, they would cut the wood where they had to make it all fit in perfectly. This is how they worked until the foundations turned into foundations with walls, and finally, foundations with walls, floor, and a roof. This was going to be the little shack Izaki spent the next couple of weeks in, every night. He was slowly beginning to grow home sick, the lack of having someone to talk to was beginning to leave a mental mark on the boy and was reinforced by the knowledge that he was not allowed to go home for weeks to come. Feelings of anxiety begun to fill his features and slowly damage his confidence.

‘I need to get a grip!’ he said as he made himself comfy on the floor of his creation and closed his eyes.
Chapter ThreeShow
The hard work Izaki has been exerting into the development of his campsite could be seen; the sun was high in sky by the time he opened his eyes. His body ached, he was still half asleep, but unfortunately there was work, to be done. He stood up and got dressed in his usual clothing, minus the cloak, there was no need for it today. He walked out of the shack and made his way into the density of the forest, where he would begin his daily tasks; hunting and gathering resources were his priority. Without the basic essentials, his survival in the place was slim, very slim. But luckily for him, this place had an abundance of food, abundance, if one is not very picky about what is on the menu. Izaki saw something move in the corner of his eye and he froze upon turning towards it. A giant spider had all its eyes fixed on the youth; something terrible was about to happen.

‘Easy now…’ the boy said in a calm, soothing tone as his hands smoothly began performing a string of hand seals. This spider was about to be sniped down, at least that is what the youth though as he prepared his technique. Little did he know, the spider was an exceptionally durable creature, unless hit in the right spot. A bullet of compressed air shot towards the arachnids’ face, to no avail. The spider easily evaded the bullet by launching itself sideways, not only was it great in size, but it was also agile. Izaki was assessing the situation on the go and by the looks of things, he was going to have to wait for it to come him. His fastest jutsu had no effect on the beast, and seeing how fast it is, his ink release would not be much use.

Suddenly the creature leapt towards him, and instinctively the youth jumped backwards to keep the distance between them. Although the speed between the two was easily noticeable, the spider covered the distance with great ease, putting pressure onto the cautious boy. Suddenly his hand became coated with chakra to increase his offensive potential and his strategy changed. Instead of running away from this eight-legged beast, he charged straight at it. The hand was gloving with chakra in the shape of a blade, and as if rehearsed, one of the spiders legs shot towards the boy in a downwards movement, in an attempt to impale him and Izakis chakra hand moved to meet the spiders assault.

The speed might not be something Izaki could match in this battle, but he was definitely at the top of the game when it came to the offensive power. The chakra was able to cut through the victims’ leg with ease, near enough obliterating whatever tissue it came in contact with. A great shriek came from the arachnid and as it crawled backwards from the pain. There was something the youth noticed at that very moment;

‘Looks like your agility dissipated along with your leg,’ he said as he crouched down and paid close attention to every move of the a seven and a half-legged spider. It was true, the spider was not able to move as quickly as before and this is what gave Izaki and idea for finishing this fight quickly.

He temporarily retreated, up into the canopy of the surrounding tree, keeping an eye on beast, that was struggling to make its way up towards him. This was perfect; his hand now free of chakra grabbed the scroll and quickly he began painting one his favorite jutsu. He was going to combine high-speed flying with his close quarters ninjutsu, to effectively assassinate the beast. A hand seal was performed and Takashi flew out of the scroll to assist the youth in his troubles. Landing upon his Takashi’s back, they dropped down from the canopy like a hawk dropping down to catch its prey.

In one smooth, swift move, Izaki grabbed his sword and began coating it in futon chakra; he wanted to finish this quickly and the sword would give him that extra little bit of distance and accuracy. The bird fluttered its wings right before they reached the ground; flying horizontally they approached their target. Izaki’s arm extended, Takashi flew in an arc, the legs caught on the sword one by one, until it was unable to move. Izaki hovered above the crippled spider and in one smooth motion launched the sword at the weak spot, the head, he wanted to keep the suffering to a minimum. Takashi landed beside the corpse and Izaki jumped onto the body and pulled his sword out; the hunting for the next couple of days was done.

Now he had the troublesome task of moving this fat spider to the camp. He hopped onto Takashi and used his feet to lift his dinner up and fly to camp, this seemed to be the most appropriate way of dealing with the job; quick and effective. On his way back he spent a little bit of time thinking about the other tasks he had to complete by the end of day, a few of them were simple repeats, tasks he had to carry out on a daily basis; gather water, timber for burning and look for other resources he could use to improve the defenses of his temporary home. He wanted to create a mechanism that would alert him when there was danger nearby and he did have an idea about how he could do this.

Bamboo, pebbles and vines are the resources he needed to make his invention work. The hunt for these was about to begin, but first he was going to throw some timber that he had left over onto the fire to keep it going. Spending time looking for flint was not on his agenda, it was going to be a waste considering he could just the fire going and using the vast abundance of dried timber there was in the forest. Whether it was real timber, bark, or anything else that burned easily, it did not matter; the idea was to keep the flame going. So, once there was sufficient fuel on the campfire, Izaki hopped back onto Takashi and flew into the abyss that was the forest. This time around, he did not want to be held up by his neighbors, any movement he saw he paid attention to only to make sure he would not be eaten, he would simply make his way around the forest until he found the resources he needed. The vines were not going to be a problem, this made them the last thing on the list. The bamboo and the pebbles were going to be a little trickier, so he paid equal attention to locating these.

The bird dashed around the forest, in between trees constantly changing the angle and positioning of the flight, this kept the activity more challenging and entertaining. The youth struggled to commit to things that were mundane, he liked change and thought it was healthy to stay out of the same, constant routine a lot of individuals placed themselves in. Soon enough, Izaki encountered another foe that stood in his way to achieving his goal. A snake, although this particular one was not as much of an opponent as the he encountered on his first day in the forest. The snake was partially wrapped around a branch with its head hanging down to meet Izaki head on. The movement of his hand revealed good dexterity with his hand as he grabbed his sword and held it to the side with both his hand; simultaneously, he maneuvered the bird to the side to give this snake a similar treatment he gave the spider that was now sitting at the camp waiting for his return. Although this time, he was not planning to bring it back. A flicker of metal and the snake was falling towards the ground.

‘Sorry pal, in this area, the law of the land says kill or be killed,’ Izaki said as he watched the snake making its way down. It was true, he could not take any risks, however unlikely. He did not want to be followed and attacked when he was preoccupied with other things and now, it was time to descend. He saw a glimpse of a stream, and a stream could also mean pebbles, maybe even bamboo, depending on how lucky he was.

Takashi dropped down from the height of the canopy and landed by the stream. Surprisingly, the water was clear, he has not seen a stream like that in a while, so he took the risk by deciding to drink from it. It tasted fine, this did not exactly mean that it was safe to drink but he was thirsty, and a little bit of bad water was not going to kill him, unless there was a hidden killer in it. He then stood up and hand a look around; the pebble finding mission could be considered accomplished. The stream was full of them. The youth quickly jumped into the center of the stream and began pulling out the little stones and placing them in his hip pouch. The idea was to fill it up right to the brim, and hope that it would not rip, to make sure he had enough to put his safety measure in place.

Few minutes later when his pouch was feeling like it was about to give way under all that weight, he decided that it was enough. Removing the pouch from his belt, he placed it on the back of the live-action painting and began to make his way along the stream. He knew that bamboo had a tendency to grow in damp places, so he was bound to find a patch eventually. Travelling along the stream, he was able to spot a couple of fish, darting up and down. Now, he was sure of a few things, that he could finally get some fish and that the stream was safe to drink from, that was a relief. Eventually, he came to an opening, and in this opening, was a lake. A great lake, it was huge this was the place to go if Izaki wanted to relax, it was very picturesque. In the distance he was able to see the plant he was looking for, acres of it, just waiting for Izaki to come along and take what he needs. Takashi was hovering after the youth a couple of inches above the ground, they began making their way across, as this was the quickest way to get to the bamboo field, located directly opposite.

‘We’re half-way there Takashi, not long now,’ the youth muttered as the lake became restless all of a sudden. This was a strange feeling; it was not like the see that is subject to a lot of different environmental forces. This place should be still, seeing as the only outlet of water is that little stream. The boy looked around curiously trying to figure out why the lake was responding in such a way, to see whether there was someone close by causing this, but he could not see anyone or anything. The situation was becoming worse by the minute, small waves were beginning to form on the restless surface and the youth was slowly becoming anxious, he could not explain what the cause of this situation was. Having had enough of wobbling around on the surface, Izaki hopped onto Takashi and began to fly up, in an attempt to get a better sight of the problem, But, there was nothing, he couldn’t see anybody or anything that could be disturbing the water in such a way. The one thing he did know, was that it was becoming worse.

Not knowing what the deal with this lake was, the youth decided to make a move, get what he came for and get the hell out of there. But the lake split open, or at least that is what he thought. The giant mouth opened as it lifted from the lake in an attempt to eat Izaki whole. If he were not already moving, he would have been easily eaten. Luckily, he was, and he was making a run for it, there was not a chance in the world that he could win a fight against a creature of such magnitude. Escape was the only current option. He flew up into the sky, hoping to achieve an altitude the beast could not reach and when he did, he hovered, watching the creature make its way out of the lake and onto the ground. This thing was a ginormous crocodile, a Deinosuchus. It placed its feet on the ground and the sheer size of it was able squash trees under its weight, its tail was able to break trees with a single swing of it. Escape was the only option; he did not want to aggravate the beast any more than it already was. For the sake of him and all the other casualties it could create if it leaves this area. He would have to find his bamboo somewhere else, but now it was time to retreat.
Chapter FourShow
Following the next few days, Izaki lay low. It was not in his interest to leave the camp for no other reason than gathering resources. It was too dangerous, he was not sure what happened to the beast, but he sure was not planning to find out any time soon. He kept himself to a close radius to home, knowing that this place was the last place that creature was going to go.

‘I wonder what happened, was that thing just sleeping and did the disturbance in the lake wake it up? Or was its feeding time?’ Izaki pondered these questions as he sat and ate some deer he managed to track and kill the day before; slowly growing tired of the blandness of the food he was eating, it did not have any flavor other than the natural flavor of meet and burning. But he wasn’t going to head home just because of that, he was going to push through this fodder issue and excel as a shinobi;

‘This is what I would need to do out there, outside the village gates. I have to push through,’ he said as he swallowed a chunky bit of venison.

Not being confident in venturing far from the camp just yet, the youth had to think of something to do until a couple more days passed, so naturally he was going to improve his camps defenses. He begun digging holes scattered around the camp, most of the creatures in this forest would not have a problem crossing through them, but this was more about manipulating the opponent. By digging these holes, Izaki was actually giving himself an idea which way the opponent was going to go if he were to approach the camp. To make sure that a cheeky spider, or snake were going to comply, he was going to place small wooden spikes at the bottom of the holes. A cheeky spider or snake was less likely to venture down there if they were going to get hurt in the process! Once he combined this with his makeshift bells, this place would impenetrable… as long as Izaki managed to wake up from the sound of these bells.

A few holes later, the youth was dripping sweat from his forehead. He has been working hard, using his chakra control to speed up the digging. His hands were glowing with his futon chakra, he’d been using chakra from to give his hand a bit more power. Futons natural effect was to cut through object it makes contact with, and that’s essentially what he was doing. But this technique placed a lot of strain on his body because of the amount of chakra it consumes. At this time of day, that didn’t worry him one bit, he was going to be heading to bed soon, so he could use up most of it, leaving just enough to be able to make a run for it in case he was attacked; safety came first. A few moments like, the youth took a step back and looked at what a days’ worth of labor has achieved. There was a single main path that led to the camp and it was surrounded by a trench two meters wide with spikes, small and big, poking out the top. If any beast wanted to get to Izaki they would have to struggle a little bit. Outside of the trench, the area was dotted with holes that varied in radius and depth, so if one weren’t paying attention, one could end up impaled.

Soon enough, it was time for the youth to make his way to his little hut, sit down, and put his feet up, after a day of grafting like that, a little bit of time to relax is what he deserved. He grabbed a piece of venison that was skewered and placed near next to the fire to stop it from burning. This was an evening he was never going to forget. After all, he did not think he would ever have to graft like this ever again. So, he was going to make the most of it, he sat down on the wooden log he cut of the end of a tree, put his feet on another one and enjoyed the sunset. This was great, the most relaxing evening he had in weeks. He took a few moments to reflect on the past couple of days and the events that went on, still curious about the ancient looking crocodile that crawled out of the bottom of the lake and nearly ate him.

‘I think, I’m going to go back there soon. Have another look, see if it’s still there,’ he let out quietly he looked out into the distance to see the tree flowing in the wind and the light slowly making its way further down. It was not long until it was time for him to hit his makeshift bed, which is basically a wooden bathtub, filled with leaves, grass and straw. Not the comfiest, but it is better than sleeping on the floor.
Chapter FiveShow
The following morning, the youth made himself a healthy breakfast of berries and… berries. There was a wide variety of them and Izaki still being a child, he was obsessed with the sweet things, whether it was candy or fruit, he did not mind, he was after that sugar rush. When breakfast concluded, he put on all his usual gear including the cloak, the weather didn’t look too promising. Although the sun was evidently up, it was still dark, the clouds hung heavy up in the sky, there was a storm coming. This wasn’t going to work to the youth’s advantage, but at the same time, he wasn’t expecting to find it.

While standing in the hut, he grabbed his scroll and did his usual, draw a bird, hopped on and off they went high into the sky. Higher the better, so that’s what they aimed for, above the height of the trees, the duo aimed for the heavens. He wanted to get a good look at the surrounding are to see whether the beast had cause anymore damage. But it didn’t seem like it, the area was not any more devastated now than it was when Izaki was making a run for it, although they did still have a little way to go. So they carried on, and the youth kept a watchful eye on the land beneath him. It was astonishing that there was a place like this in such a proximity to the village, and people didn’t know about it. But that is what made it even more awesome, being in this place all alone, with not a soul nearby, surrounded by these monstrous, deadly creatures, just him versus the world; or this forest at least. Izaki gave a small chuckle as they made their way through the sky.

Soon enough, the youth had gotten a glimpse of the lake he was so eager to explore. He wanted to know what the reason behind that creature was. So, they descended down and Izaki hopped onto the lake and began running around in circles, just to cause some disturbance in the water and hopefully bring that thing back up to the surface. But there was nothing, the lake did not respond back to him. He let out a sigh and scratched the back of his head;

‘Today is obviously not our day Takashi,’ he said before he hopped back onto the bird and they made their way over to the field of bamboo, where he was going to collect what he came for originally. This was a very important part of his camps defenses so he had to make the most of being there.

Landing at the edge of the field, Izaki hopped down and made his way over to the field, and drew his sword out of it sheath and began slashing diagonally at the bamboo stick to create spears out of them. This was followed by a spot of art, painting himself on the scroll, the youth waved a hand seal and the portrait, just like the rest of his usual artwork, began to come to life. His copy then began moving the sticks and making a pile at the edge of the field while the original continued slashing away at the bamboo with his chakra fueled sword. Then, a drop of water landed on his face, the sky was beginning to give way to all those clouds. It happened sooner than the youth thought it would but at the same time, it didn’t matter much, he had a job to do.

After few minutes of swinging and slashing, Izaki felt something strange, as if a small earthquake. He stood there motionless trying to understand what had happened, before he decided that he must have imagined it. So he carried on, slashing away at his task, until it occurred to him, that he had not the field of bamboo was not becoming any neater. He turned around and in the path he had cut into the field of bamboo, he could not see his clone, he could not see to any other side as he was in the middle of this field, with only that path he could walk down. It was time to see what has actually happened. He ran back down to where he has started and saw the tail end of that beast he thought he was not going to see again.

‘Where are you off to?’ the youth let out as he reached for his scroll. Takashi and his clone must have been destroyed by this thing; he was glad that it wasn’t him. But it was time to bring the Takashi back, the plan was to follow the creature and see where it was going, and a few brush strokes later, they were heading up into the sky once again. He was still in awe about how big this thing was and looking at it just made him want to find out more and more about it;

‘What the heck does it eat? Where the heck does it get it’s food from?’ the questions were piling up in his head as he flew through the sky, following his much admired pet, who would eat him if he had the chance. At this point, he was beginning to see a small glimpse of what look like another lake at the end of the stream. The creature crawled into it and moved further down, into it just like it did previously. Suddenly, fish could be seen to be jumping above the surface of the water as they headed for the exit stream, this was obviously it’s feasting spot and he was obviously actively clearing out any food that made it’s way into it. This place seemed to be full of them.

‘Well, that’s it for a while, I doubt we will see it anytime soon,’ Izaki said as they turned around and began making their way back to the bamboo field, where they were going to make the most out of it’s absence.
Chapter SixShow
The following morning Izaki woke up and his body was aching all over. After he finished cutting all the needed bamboo down, he decided that the quickest way to get all these moved to camp was to create multiple copies of himself, and the same amount of Takashis to go with them. In all fairness, they did manage to get all the material moved in one trip, which did save him a lot of time. To add a little more, when they did get back to the camp, safely, the youth didn’t just disperse the clones, they worked together to get all the defenses set up, and now the camp was prepared for whatever he might face… except for the big crocodile the lives a short flight away. He was not going to be ready for that any time soon, and he was not sure home much more defensive measure he would have to add to his camp to actually make it croc-proof. Regardless, he did not want to find out, and it was very unlikely than that big crocodile was going to make its way down here, after all he did have everything, he needed in those two lakes.

Getting out of bed was not at the top of his priorities today, which meant everything else was, very, unlikely to get done. But he could not waste a day here, the only reason he was there in the first place was to improve and lying in bed all day was not going to help him improve, but he had an idea on how he could train, and remain in bed. This was pure genius on his behalf.

He reached over, grabbed a small wooden log off the floor and returned with it to the lying position. He was going to use his futon chakra to carve something out of this block of wood. The beginning was going to be easy. He channeled chakra into his hand and started cutting lumps of the block until its was the size of an action figure, this one was going to be a wolf. Once the block of wood was the correct size, instead of channeling his chakra to his whole hand, he began gathering it in just two fingers. To begin with, it did not look very promising, the chakra looked like more of a flame than a blade. He was not going to be able to do much with this floppy chakra, he focused, and focused, and focused. Eventually this flame resembling chakra began to take the shape of a blade, but when applied to wood, it had more of a scratching effect. So he began scratching away at it and, surprise surprise, it was not having much effect on the wood. His only hope to get this finished was to hone his control and make it more blade like.

Achieving a blade like futon chakra coming from the fingers was very tricky, trickier than he has thought, trickier than anything else that he has ever done! But that was not going to stop him; after hours and hours of scratching away at this block of wood, it had finally began to look slightly like a wolf. Izaki had given it a belly, and now it was time to separate the legs, he was going to put this on in a crouched position, as if it was about leap and attack its prey. But what, or who, was the prey? It could be an innocent creature and the wolf was actually preparing to have his dinner. Or, it could be getting ready to defend his family, or to scare away another predator from hurting the innocents. There were a lot of way this could be interpreted, and that is how Izaki spent the day; shaving… this wolf into shape and, interpreting its philosophical and metaphorical meaning. That was a fun exercise, he was finding out things about himself that he did not know in the past. He was never really interested in such subject, but accidentally it turns out that this might be a little knack of his.

After hours of this constant battling with this little block of wood, the youth was beginning to make some progress. In terms of sculpting this figure and in terms of chakra control. The body was complete, it was now time to do the very tricky bits that would take time, patience and superb chakra control to complete. It was the head and the tail. The head was hard because of all the little features that were required and the detail that was needed to be accomplished in order for it to look correct. The tail was hard, because making it look like an actual tail required him carving little lines along it. That is where he began, he started at the tip and worked towards the body. This required him to use the very tip of his chakra blade and the painful thing was that, he had to go over a single line a couple of times for it to look right. This was a highly stressful situation, a single wrong move was going to lead to the ruin of this masterpiece, it was slowly becoming. He just needed to give himself a little bit more time to get to the required level of control. He knew for definite, that next figure he was going to do was going to be a lot easier.

After hours and hours of perfecting this little beauty, Izaki was beginning to feel drained. He has spent the day using all his focus, and the will to focus, on using his chakra to shape this block of wood into what it was now. Although it could still do with more, the head could do with a couple of extra details, but at this very moment, he was not too fussed. He did a good job of what he had right now. He was not going to spend the rest of the day beating himself up about not being able to do something that was simply a bonus when he has come a long way since the morning. It was now time to get up and eat something.

The youth did not realize how long he has actually spent on making his little figure, the sun was beginning to set, and he has not eaten anything yet. He surely would be paying for that the next morning. He leaped out of his bed and landed on his feet, only to then fall to his knees from the lack of energy. He truly did put a lot of strain on his body, he has not realized as he was led in bed all day. Not putting any kind of physical strain on himself, meant he did not know what state his body was actually in. He began crawling to one of the posts that were supporting the roof, this is where the meat was hung to age. Aged meat was great, a little bit chewy but it truly seals the meats natural flavor. He grabbed the post and began pulling himself up until he was able to stand on his feet and lean against the post. That being accomplished, he began to rip off little bits of meat and eat them. One more thing he did not realize was how hungry he really was. The moment the venison touched his tongue he experienced an explosion of flavor in his mouth and ended up spending the next few minutes just enjoying the food, forgetting about everything else; this was great.

But everything that is good must end eventually. Soon enough, he took a swig of water out of this cup he made a few days previous and then headed back to bed. Being able to gently walk back, it took him a short while to get to bed but when he did, he just fell into his boat resembling bed. Once he got comfy, he grabbed the wolf figure that was buried under the leaves and once again began working on it. It felt like now that he ate, had had a lot more energy than previously. Controlling chakra seemed to be easier than before and his focus was restored, to an extent. The moment he stopped using his chakra, was the moment his eyes began to shut, and his consciousness was beginning to go. This was another level of tired, a different kind of tired. One he was not used to, he has never been in a position, where he has used this amount of chakra. This scared him a little bit, as he did not know to what extent he could push his body before this became dangerous. But soon enough he was fast asleep.

The following morning when the youth woke up, the sun was already high in the sky. And his body? It ached, a lot. The day ahead did not look promising, with his body aching this much he was not going to be much use out in the field, and he had some chores to do. The usual collecting of resources was the issue, he still had enough to last him a few days, but he did not like to leave things until the very end. It was risky, if, for example, he could not find any food for days, he would be left with nothing until he did. That was not a risk he was wanted to take, but in the state he was in now he would have to. He did not want to risk being devoured by some beast, because his body was aching too much for him to evade attacks effectively. It was going to be another bed-bound day.

Once again, he was not going to spend the day doing nothing. He had to grow and improve every day, so he was going to prepare himself for a bed-bound day. He leaped out of bed and walked over to grab the bucket of water and some of the meat that was hung up. Walking was about as much of an issue now as it was the previous night; he was not battle-ready by any means. He made his way back to the bed carrying his victuals and placed them so that he could later grab them without an issue.

Jumping back into bed, the youth found the wolf and placed him on the edge of them bed. That figure he was done with for a bit. He was going to work on a different project now. He was going to inscribe his ‘Forest of Death’ story, in images on the inside of his little boat bed. This was going to be a fun, he had to think of the best way of creating the right images to communicate the story with the most honesty and accuracy. Exaggeration was not in his nature, he was doing to create a story that was true, not making out some aspects of the story to be worse or more dangerous than they really were. So where was he to begin, he remembered the moment of flying over the gate with the sign and was going to concentrate directly on recreating his mental image in this block of wood. This was not going to be easy. He had to do it in a way that would leave enough room for everything else that has happened, and more. It was going to be one of his greatest art works yet, he could see himself bringing this bed with him one it was time to head home, this would be his new bed, and it would look great in his room. Although his mother would most likely have one or two things to say about it;

‘You can’t have that in your room! It’s dirty! Get it out! Now!’ the youth imagined his mother shouting at him after he brought it into his room, letting out a small chuckle at the end of the monologue. He was just beginning to realize, how much he missed his mum and how kind and caring she really was. He thought that, she was the best mum in the world. The nostalgia of his home was beginning to bring out all kinds of emotions, showing how much of a child this youth was deep down. At this point, part of him was eager to get home, see his mum and tell her about all, of his adventures. But that would defeat one of the purposes of being here in the first place. Betterment, across different aspects of himself was the reason for being here. Training and over all self-improvement. Being able to live out in the wilderness, was a true skill not a lot of people had. Living alone in civilized society was a skill not a lot of people had. This could be an aspect of the reason why some people struggled to get out of bed in the morning, and others have achieved more by teenage years than some would achieve in their entire lives. This was a topic he would save for another day, another place, it was time for him to bring out his artistic side.

The youth gathered the wind-element chakra in his index, and middle finger and they began to glow with it. The energy was radiating like an aura that carried power and death. It was different, now the shape of it was like a miniature arrowhead with a very sharp edge; the fruits of his intensive training were beginning to show. It was time to get creative. He has already drawn an image of himself flying over the gate, while he was thinking about philosophical matters. Now he was going to draw his battle with the three snakes, which resulted in his escape. He has been doing a lot of that lately, but it was better to run and fight another day, than to stand his ground and be eaten because of sheer arrogance. He was going to draw himself hanging onto the tree and looking at the snakes from the point of view of the tree he was hanging onto, this would be the best way to portray the events of that event. They youth drew the position his body was in, and behind him, three snakes that were preparing to attack. Figuring out what the image was communicating, was not going to be a hard job. Izaki liked it, it engaged the audience and that was exactly what he was after when it came to art.

Time flew by quickly and soon enough, Izaki took a short break to get some grub, collect his thoughts, and stretch his body. He was not going to make the mistake he made the previous day, allowing his body to become so drained that it collapsed under his weight, was not best health practice in any ones’ eyes. Adopting the right pace with right intervals for breaks was the way he had to do things if he wanted to make sure he was fit and ready to go the following day. So, he leaped out of bed went out of his hut to take a short stroll and get his muscles moving a little bit. His body was hurt, although now he was not in as much pain as he was in earlier. This was going to fix him right up, little bit of exercise, refreshment, and back to training he went. That is how he referred to this exercise of creating art on the side of his bed. Because, essentially that is what it was. Maybe not training that one could go and brag about, but one that took patience, focus, and dedication. So, after he had some grub and some water, he jumped back into bed, full of energy and motivation to train and improve.

Now, he was going to proceed and show the audience, how and where he lived. This was going to involve showing the viewer, the use of clones, Takashi, and a lot of timber. This was going to be the home-building arc of his story. First, he started off by creating a small depiction of the barren land he was on, dead soil, nothing valuable in the area. This was tricky, how was he supposed to show that? Eventually, he came to the conclusion, that he had to show the surrounding trees, and then this plot with nothing growing in it; he hoped this would send the correct message. Himself, his clone, and Takashi came after. This was going to be a frozen image of him working on the fallen trees and his supporting techniques doing what they do best, supporting. Carving these small figures was very tricky, he had to focus heavily on the amount of chakra he exerted, as the more came out, the more unstable the wind blade was. He had to take it slow and steady, but then he had an idea. Something revolutionary, something that would potentially take the level of his control to a completely different level. This idea was, transferring the chakra onto the wood, in the shape of the image he wanted to create, and forcing it into the wood, like a press.

But improving his chakra control to that level was going to take a long, long time. So, for the time being, he had to focus on what he could do, gently carve these images into the timber and sooner or later, they would completely cover the bed. But for now, it was time for him to get some rest, the sun was beginning to set and he has spent the whole day using chakra, he didn’t want the next day to be a repeat, he had chores to do after all.
Chapter SevenShow
Izaki rose with the sun. Hopping out of bed, the boy had a sip of water and ate venison to give him some energy for the rest of the day. Once his morning ritual was complete, the youth made his was out of his hut and towards his next adventure. Today, was going to be a day for hunting. So far, he had spider, snake, rat, the occasional squirrel, venison, now he fancied something different. Although, he was not sure what. There were only so many things he has seen since his arrival, and he has had most of them. It was time for him to venture out of his usual area and see what else the land had to offer.

Hopping onto the back of Takashi, they made their way up into the bright blue sky until they were flying well above the trees. Spotting the areas that he has be to already, the ventured further and further into areas unknown to them. They had no clue where they would find down there, but the duo needed a change from their everyday scenery. So, once they were not able to see their home area, they dived into the body of green. This area did not seem to be much different than the previous, although there was something odd about it. It had a feeling of emptiness, although there was a great deal of plants, trees and fungus. There did see to me a lot of other life forms, no animals, or insects, nada. Izaki hopped down from Takashi once they landed, in an open area surrounded by trees, the soil felt damp and so did the air. These conditions were encouraging, in terms of wildlife, but it seemed there was nothing. This was odd, Izaki did like this place. It appeared the same but was very different, from the area where he was based. Takashi dispersed, and Izaki began walking into the forest.

‘There has to be something here.’ The youth muttered under his breath as he walked deeper into the unknown, without any consideration of the danger that could be lurking around the corner. But, there was nothing, not a soul in sight. The place that was usually beaming with life, and death, was completely empty with not even a corpse led on the ground. Whatever roamed these areas was neat and unified, this place was looked after, unlike the rest of it.

Upon his long walk, the youth eventually came across something and he froze. After not seeing a single creature for so long made him a little anxious about towards anything that moved and had its own free will. This thing was hairy and it was crouching down, chest pressing against its knees. It was some sort of a monkey. Izaki approached, carefully. It was odd to see a monkey in a place like this all alone. Izaki knew from books that they were pack animals, and because this was a monkey, the youth thought it would be a good idea to speak.

‘Hey… What are you doing here litt-...’ He spoke, but suddenly the monkey leaped out, and delivered a heavy blow to his face. Boff, he was sent flying back and crashed into a tree. That was the last thing he was expecting. Izaki fell to his knees, and rubbed his face where the connection was made, it was one hell of a blow. One that he did not want to experience again. Footsteps were rapidly approaching him and caused him to look up at the rapidly moving monkey. It was rushing in for another attack, the only way the youth was going to avoid this was by leaping out of the way, and that is what he did. The youth used his free hand and legs to launch himself away from the charging monkey. This thing was quick and strong, there was no time for his painting, he had to do something, or he would be in serious trouble. The youths hand began to radiate with chakra, as he changed direction, now heading directly for his opponent. Kill or be killed, and he was definitely not going to be the latter. The monkey threw a punch aimed at the youth’s face, and the youth retaliated by attacking the incoming fist. The power of this technique has grown considerably since the last time it was used. It cut through flesh like a hot knife cut through butter. The arm of the monkey was split in half, and it roared from the pain it caused. The sound echoed through the land and there were no signs that the monkey would stop. Kill or be killed. The hand proceeded to impale the monkey’s throat, decapitating it.

‘I’m sorry…’ The youth said as the body and head hit the ground. This was not the way he wanted things to end, but this is the way things had to go, the roar could have alerted the rest of the pack, and if there were more of these, he would be in trouble. With that, the glow around the youths hand receded and he turned around to carry on exploring. But when he did, he saw something that was not there a few minutes ago. Moneys, apes, gorillas, stood on tree branches, hanging onto vines and trees. This was not a pack, this was a tribe, and it did not look happy. Something dropped behind him, it was heavy and landed between the youth and the corpse. Its size towered of the youth, and it’s eyes looked down at the dead body of the corpse of what was once it’s child. Suddenly, its powerful arm flicked back, struck the youths guard and the youth was once again sent flying.

It was time for the youth to realize that the position he was in was not favorable. Izaki was outnumbered and surrounded by apes that were not the kind you might see in a zoo. These were apes that had to survive on their own in the wilderness, they were tough and organised, warrior like. Izaki had to make a decision in the short space of time he had, from being struck and sent flying with very little effort, to hitting the deck. His future would be very short if he didn’t.

So, the moment his body touched the ground, he flipped himself over and landed on his feet, sprinting the very moment that he could, away from the scene. He was not going the get away from them on feet, there were just too many of them, and at least one of the was most likely going to be faster than he was. He reached for his scroll and was going to paint Takashi and get out of there as fast as possible.

The scroll unraveled as it rolled on the ground after being dropped when the foot of an ape connected with Izakis face. The youth backwards and fell to the ground, near enough losing consciousness. He lifted his arm trying to shift his weight so that he could roll, but it was pointless. Few seconds later, he was lifted by an ape twice the size and held up like a punch bag. The leading ape, the one who stood over the corpse walked over the hanging youth and delivered a blow that caused Izaki to crash next to his scroll, the last conscious thing he did was grab the scroll and tuck it in his pouch.

One of the subordinating apes grabbed the youth by an ankle and slung him over the shoulder. Before the whole pack began to move as one. They headed further into this patch of the forest, it was slowly beginning to become more and more dense. The trees filled the area so compactly that sometimes the apes had to pass in single file to actually get through. Eventually they came to an opening, there was a mountain there with a giant opening into it, and that’s were they were headed. The surrounding area was filled with smaller trees and more apes, who were placed at the top of the trees, it seemed their purpose was to keep a look out. They proceeded into the cave and made their way further into it the underground base. These were not ordinary apes; they were more intelligent than the usual bunch. The cave led them through a series of tunnels, that ended with another opening. This area was filled with apes of different kind and at the end of, what this seemed to be, the hall there was the chief of the tribe, the biggest one of all. A Gorilla that was easily the size of a redwood tree. Izaki was carried through the hall, still slung over the apes’ shoulder and eventually presented before the chief. The ape just dropped him to the ground and took a step back, this proceeded to an exchange between the leader of the pack and the chief ape. Izaki woke up at this point, not realizing what has happened he began to pick himself up, until he saw the giant ape staring down at him.

Fear passed through every single cell of his body as he looked up at the towering giant. Instinctively his hand moved to his pouch, but he stopped himself from reaching for the scroll. At the last second it clicked, what was he going to do in a place like this? Before he could unravel the scroll, he would be thumped by the apes the surrounded him. Suddenly, he began to levitate, with the help of the ape that stood behind him. Izaki was placed in his feet and the eyes of the tribe landed on him. With not a clue what was going on, he tried to keep his cool by calmly looking back at them. Gently scanning every single one, without a single flinch. If he was going to be killed, he was not going to do so on his knees. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Speed wise, he might not have a chance without Takashi, but his ninjutsu was powerful, and if he had to, he would fight until he could fight no more.

All kinds of different noises came from these apes, none of which could be understood by a human being, unless they spoke ape. After a while longer the youth was escorted further down into the cave, into a hall with holes dug into its walls, beside those holes, there was a round stone with a hole in the center of it. Izaki was tossed into this room, and the stone rolled across the entrance, there was no way of escaping, unless he was to force his way through the stone or one of the walls, but both were very thick. There was no light other than what manages to come through the wall, and that was dim as it came from torches. He could do nothing but sit there and wait patiently. Trying to escape was not his priority, he would spend a lot of chakra and possibly fail as he did not know how to navigate these tunnels. But, more importantly, if these apes wanted Izaki dead, he would be dead already. They wanted him for something, he just did not know what. So, he did the only thing that he could; rest, and soon enough he was asleep.

When he woke up, he had no idea about how long he was asleep for, it could have been an hour, it could have been hours, but the lack of sunlight made it hard for him to figure out how much time has passed. Izaki stood up slowly and began edging his way towards the hole which allowed a little bit of light into the round room, he used the walls for support until he made his way right to the hole. He had a look through the hole but could not make out anything distinctive. So, the youth placed his back against the stone and slid down until he was in a sitting position. This is how he would remain for the next couple of hours, until he fell asleep or the door opened. But while he was still awake, he took this moment to reflect on the past couple of weeks, about all the things that have happened. The amount of times he tricked death and lived on to do it again. He had a feeling that time might be a different situation, there was a reason they were keeping him alive, and it definitely was not going to be a walk in the park. But what could he do other than sit there, plan and reminisce? As if he was watching a film, the youth played back his memories in his mind, from his youngest moments of him running with his father through the forest, chasing after animals. To spending time with his mother once the moved to the Village Hidden in the Leaves, his time at the academy, and all the other adventures he had. The idea that this might be the end has brought a tear to his eye, the idea of not being able to live his life is what did it. He was too young to die, he did not want to die, especially not in a place like this; he wiped his face with his hand, getting rid of the few tears he shed.

Sitting in this hole was sending all kinds of different thought through Izakis mind. One moment he was thinking about an attempt to escape, the next he was thinking about how his mother was doing, and the next what he was eat if he ever managed to get out of here. But the issue was he had no idea whether he ever would. They might be planning to keep him trapped in this hole until he dies of malnutrition.

‘Never thought it would end this way…’ He muttered under his nose right before the stone began to roll. He rolled over and jumped to his feet, preparing for the worse, his guard was up, and he was ready for battle. But what he saw on the other side of the stone was not what he expected. This monkey did not look like a warrior he has encountered so far. The build was petite, and it moved with amazing grace. It gave a wave towards Izaki, indicating him to follow. So, he did.

They walked through the tunnels, and Izaki took a mental note of every single turn and, junction, and bend they walked through, in case he was given a chance to make a run for it. They headed towards the big hall Izaki found himself in when he first woke up. Now that he has fully recovered from being bashed around, this hall seemed a lot bigger than it did previously. And now, all the apes were sat facing a single round area in the center of the hall. The area was filled with food of different kinds, some sort of meat, fruit and vegetables. Not knowing how to interpret this, he simply followed the monkey along, to eventually stop beside the pile of food and be instructed to sit and eat. When he walked around the corner, he realized something, the ape was sat at the other end of the pile eating away.

‘What is all this…’ Izaki thought as he grabbed a couple of bananas, he didn’t know how safe this food was, so he went for the safest option in sight. After taking a bite, he realized just how hungry he was, and soon enough he was helping himself to the meat that was placed there for him. It was spider meat, not the best, but he was not going to complain. He ate as much and as quickly as he could, he wasn’t going to risk going back to that hole with a semi-filled stomach.

Once he couldn’t fit any more food into his stomach he sat back and wiped his mouth. That moment the apes from the first row began walking up and removing the food that lay before him. He looked around and the ape that struck him, was simply sat there, staring at Izaki with a very angry expression on his face. Not knowing how to react to it, he led down on the ground and allowed the food in his stomach to digest, and before he could stop himself, he fell asleep.

He woke up to a nudge. A nudge from a monkey that led him to this hall. Slowly, he made his way onto his feet, and when he did, he noticed that the crowd was still sat in place, just like they were before he nodded off. Although, he did think that it was a little bit more than a nap, he felt like, as if there was no food in his stomach. He carried on looking around the hall, the chief was sat in his usual spot just eating a banana. Further around, the ape was stood staring at him. Further around, he could see a glimmer of day light coming from a near by tunnel. That was his escape route, and when he had a chance, he would go for it. Suddenly, he heard something drop of the floor, it sounded floppy. He turned and instead he saw the big gorilla charging at him, his heart nearly jumped out of his throat. He leapt to the side evading the shoulder barge. But that did nothing, the ape simply changed direction and carried on heading for him. Izaki had to do something quick, running was not an option, the ape was faster than he was, stronger than he was. Winning this on the ground was very slim. He had to get up into the air, the hall was big enough for him to be able to launch aerial attacks without being caught by it, but he had to get there first.

First thing the youth did was, waved a string of hand seals and gather chakra in his hands as he did so. Proceeding this was a very distinct clap, it sent a blade of wind heading for the gorilla, and when it connected its cut through its chest, and allowed blood to leak out. The wound was not deep, but deep enough to hurt the animal as was confirmed by the load roar that came upon impact, along with it staggering backwards a few feet. Izaki did not waste any time, he grabbed his scroll and painted hundreds of wasps that flew out of the scroll upon activation and headed for the angry gorilla. The swarm did not seem to have much effect, the ape simply carried on charging towards him not paying any attention to them. Once again, the youth leapt to the side, but this time, the ape grabbed his ankle before he managed to put enough distance between them. A heavy blow was delivered to Izakis chest, causing him to lose his breath completely. The ape then proceeded to launch the youth against the wall. The force he put into this throw was immense, completing numerous rotations in mid-air the youth impacted the wall, sending pain throughout his body. He fell and hit the deck, but this was nothing compared to what he has just experienced. Coughing up some blood, Izaki proceeded to stand up and experienced pain in every single cell of his body, which slowed him down. He leant against the wall and saw the ape, approaching.

This was a decisive time for the youth, he could either stand there, do nothing and eventually get himself pounded by that furious ape, or he could get a grip and start fighting back, properly. Once again, he reached for his scroll and began scribbling something down and a moment later, Takashi materialized before him. Hopping onto his back They took off and began flying towards the ceiling. Izaki was now safe, or at least that’s what he thought. As he neared the ceiling, something wooshed, past him and crashed into it. He turned around to see what was going on, and saw the ape standing next to the pile of food. This ape was hurling, apples and other fruits at him with amazing accuracy. It was time for him to counterattack. He tucked his scroll into his pouch and began performing another set of hand seals. Takashi changed the direction of his flight, now heading and the ape. Izaki stood at the edge and as they neared, he looked over, to see an apple heading directly for his head. He breathed out an array of bullets which, struck the apple heading for him and the rest made their mark on different body parts of the angry gorilla. More blood and another roar of pain, the ape was slowly beginning to lose. This long-distance battle was not to his benefit, the projectiles that he was hurling were too easy to evade. Izaki repeated the maneuver, flying away and coming right back with the same jutsu firing at the angry ape. But this time, Izaki miscalculated the distance to the wall and almost crashed, in the moment of maneuver, a flying spud struck Izaki on the side of the head. He fell off, nearly losing consciousness but remaining aware just enough to break his fall, after the damage he was already sustained, this would have been fatal. The ape moved towards him with a slight limp, his legs and chest are the areas that took the brunt of the damage. Izaki was picked up by the gorilla with both its hands and squeezed, squeezed so hard that the youth was struggling to breathe. The ape then brought him, just inches away from its face and roared as loud as it possibly could. Once more, the youth was losing consciousness, although he was unsure whether it was the pain, lack of air, or simple the smell of the apes’ breath. Regardless, Izaki was in a bad situation. He couldn’t use his art, he couldn’t use any of his techniques, but one. However, his hands were forced against his sides and using that jutsu would mean he would also cut through his skin. Unless, he utilized the training he put himself through back at the camp.

The youth focused on the outside of his hands and gathered all the chakra he could muster at that point. Soon, they began to radiate with energy and began ripping through soft tissue that was squeezing him to death. The roar of the gorilla became louder and louder until eventually he let go of the young lad. He fell onto his feet and then onto his back, he struggled to catch his breath as he began crawling away from the angry ape. The ape stood there, with its hands bleeding profusely. The jutsu seems to have caused a great deal of damage to it, and this was about to get even worse. Izaki stood up and looked directly at the ape, that calm, calculated look has finally returned to him, he knew exactly what he was doing. This was going to cost him a lot of chakra, but he knew that at this point, the gorilla would not allow him to get away.

Both his hands began to radiate with wind chakra, at aura was visible and gushing out. Izaki ran towards the ape and the ape did the same. Its hand rolled into a fist and aimed at Izaki. They youth retaliated by sending his right hand, at the fist itself. It cut through the tissue with ease and now, his left hand moved in an arc and attacked from the side in a downwards motion, cutting the fist off completely. Izaki jumped back and watched the ape growl in pain once more. He wasn’t sure whether he was meant to stop, he didn’t want to kill another, especially that this one was no longer able to fight. Barely able to walk, missing a hand, and bleeding profusely all over. Although, who would be able to save him in such a condition? If the wounds were minor he might be able to recover, but in this state, this was very unlikely.

Chakra from one of his hands receded, the other grew slightly as he made his way towards the ape. He was going to end it there and then. But even this was not as easy as he wanted it to, this ape was not giving up. Once Izaki was in range, the ape thrust his fist at the boy and he evaded it by a small margin. Then, its arm moved sideways in an attempt to force the youth under its weight. Izaki also avoided this by shifting his position into a crouch, his free hand grabbed a hold of the arm and he leapt onto it. Moving quickly his right hand impaled the ape in the spot just behind the collar bone, cutting through its insides and the heart. The ape fell to the ground and the boy with him.

What happened after was just a blur. The youth was picked up by some of the spectating apes and carried out of the cave, simply thrown out at the edge of the tribes territory. It was cold, dark and the youth had no idea where he was.
