[Open] Stepping Over The Lines Part 1

Post by Sia » Tue Jul 06, 2021 8:19 pm

Why? Who knows. Why did Maido do anything, really. For whatever reason truly, she had found herself unruly. She knew not what it was that bothered her so. She knew only that it was with rhythm and timing and fire that she sowed. A step, then another, the three of them muttered. Hisayo, Kayoko, Maido, owed. In a great lengthy number they had gone asunder. A long way from home now, the three of them had gone. They'd traveled by boat for a while, they'd left from the mists. They crept out and had no problems then. It had been a bit of a gist. A leisurely journey with nothing too odd to boot, they drank and they danced and they pranced, yet they stanced.

"Okay now" Spoke Maido, and stepped up from her seat. Today was a good day for training, she surmised. Indeed, if she could help it, she'd dive deep into the knives. "I have an idea, but I'm not sure anyone will like it." She said after a moment. She adjusted her posture, bending at the knees. Her hip movement changed drastically. It shifted down and she jumped threes. It was then that it hit her.

"Stop the boat."

Her companions too, had turned now in a pause. Hisayo and Kayoko, came out of the shadows. All in black, with masks on their faces. "Today, we are hunters." The three spoke in unison. "Care for a little training then, Shinjiro? I don't think you'll like it, but Vorashu certainly will." An evil grin crossed her face and she reached out with a hand sign that if Shinjiro had paid attention to, would have learned by now was a possession jutsu. Should he be willing, he could relinquish complete and utter control over his body to Maido, granting things many would frown upon. A dark, evil, tainted chakra coursed through her hands. She went out a bit now. "You can swim underwater, yes? And you can also hold your breath for a long time? Yes? Show me. Let's find a monster." Her hand went to her mouth, and she made to grab onto his wrist. A faint, gentle touch, yet so unearthly cold.

A dark poof of mist escaped out from hands. It was sanguine in color, and it brought both death and bliss. If the Karagata breathed it and chose not to filter, for him it brought boon, a beacon of wonder. She straightened her dress and looked away now. This too, intentional movement. Don't make eye contact. Don't look at their hands. Notice what they are doing, but do not look directly at it. Register without registering. Look left and right quickly. Up, down, and swiftly. Keep your head down. You wear a hat for a reason. Too, a headband. It's not for a fashion, it's to fit the season and reason. In the mist it is, well, misty. We dress for the occasion. We were made to get wet, so we always fit the occasion. In a flash of an instant the dress was gone. Replaced by swimsuit. All black, head to toe. Not an inch was shown. Even armor had been thrown. "Fuck the equipment." She said to the crew. A few of them chuckled, they enjoyed the view.

Thus, a connection was sometimes difficult. One had to breathe in, to accept her boon. Or at least in this instance, when she wasn't bringing doom. Except, maybe she was, as it might turn out. She gave a chuckle, and waved her hand. "Resist it, it's good for training." She said to him, and her companions then jumped back. "Let's push you to your limits a bit and go for a swim. Just don't destroy the boat or the crew or you're paying the bill." Again she did seals, again she touched a wrist. The crew now, infected, she'd given them the mist. She got them to safety, yet applied no pressure. Her mist meant no harm to her allies, only pleasure. It was enemies that turned to acid, or died on the spot. Had their necks snapped. Their spinal columns wrought. Dismembered, disfigured, disassembled, deleted. A dark and tainted purple chakra escaped from her hands then too and shot straight into his soul, and burrowed a dark and evil hole. "Show me how you become god, Karagata."

Jutsu UsedShow
Plague Infusion
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Requires: Sanguiskinesis, Mist
By placing one hand on a target and forming hand seals with the other hand, Maido can cause a vapor of blood-mist to be emitted from her hands and make its way towards a targets airways (at a speed of 5) to infuse them as soon as they draw breath. For 3 posts, the target will constantly breathe outwards a thin vapor of blood mist, causing those within 5 meters of them to become infused as they too draw in a breath. Newly infused targets will also begin to breath out blood mists that will infuse those that breath it in. When infused in this way, targets are susceptible for 5 posts but will only continue to produce blood mists themselves for 3 posts after they are first infused. If an already infused target breathes in mist they themself did not breathe out, they will refresh the duration of their infusion but not the duration of the mist they create by breathing out.

Shizumeru: Tainted Transformation
A-Ranked ChitonTenkujutsu (Nin)
By forming the necessary hand seals, Maido can force a Jinchuuriki to go into any form she desires so long as their blood has been infused by her. When a transformation is forced in this manner, the target cannot undo the transformation for at least 7 posts.

Shinjiro was no stranger to working alongside Maido by now. They had traveled across the world together, set foot in Iwagakure, worked alongside rogue shinobi and assassinated the iron country Taisho. They had even stormed Starfall island together and tamed the spirits that resided there, the ones they didn’t slaughter anyway. So, it wasn’t much to ask of him to accompany her on a bit of site seeing around Water Countries new lands, and likely do some training while they were out and about. Maido did have a habit of easily growing bored and generally speaking Shinji was content to indulge her. In this case however, after the culmination of the war he felt it prudent to attempt to keep the blood witch in check. As a Bannin and Overseer of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist the young 20-year-old now carried a great deal of responsibility on his shoulders.

There was no reason to carelessly spark another war. Kirigakure had been victorious and now it was time to enjoy the spoils. Western Water country, the land liberated from the Tea Country samurai could be seen as a vague outline on the horizon. For a moment Shinjiro considered suggesting they fly on ahead, ships were extraordinarily slow in comparison but ultimately necessary, for flying everywhere, especially over great distances could get rather tiring. However, when Maido’s clones, or rather, companions emerged, suddenly the Jinchuuriki got a feeling he wasn’t going to like what happened next. Hisayo and Kayoko were good eye candy to be sure, but they had never formed much of a bond with Shinjiro. Instead, always shadowing Maido and seeming to revel in her more outlandish ideas, which were most of them. “That never gets less creepy” he commented idly at their synchronized words, speaking through the thick cloth mask that covered his face from the nose down. At the mention of training the young man shrugged and then exhaled in acceptance. “Alright, do your worst” he accepted, somehow knowing that ‘training’ would involve her messing around inside him one way or another. It was always some form of control, possession or taking command of his blood itself. Of course, he wished to learn how to fight such invasions, if it was even possible and the more experience, he had the better off he would be. “I can, yeah” he acknowledged. While he preferred to do most of his deep-water diving in his turtle form he was well accustomed to underwater infiltration. His training as an assassin and a swordsman of the Zantou style incorporated many uses of breath control and pushing one’s body and stamina to their absolute limits while conserving air and energy to optimal efficiency.

He watched the red mist warily as it crept toward him. He didn’t remove his mask, for he was curious what level of protection it would provide. Typically, it blocked water droplets rather easily, at least that was the primary purpose in containing his own breath and saliva so that he didn’t accidently poison anyone during a simple conversation. Theoretically it would be effective to some degree from the outside in as well. Though chakra was somewhat more stubborn than simple water droplets. The woman’s clothing morphed. He was quite used to such displays by now. Neither his girlfriend nor Maido ever actually wore clothes, simplifying materializing biomass or blood respectively and texturing it through chakra.

After several long seconds of his face being assailed by blood mist, eventually, it worked its way through small gaps and his shallow controlled breathing brought in the first wisps of Maido’s chakra. Feeling the slight tingle against his nostrils he accepted that he would need to acquire a proper filtrated mask if he were to avoid such things completely. Inhaling deeply and lowering his mask he, at last, allowed the full reign of the mist into his body. It was not the first time he had trusted his life to Maido and he did not have any reason to believe it would be the last. He smirked as he exhaled now a moderate amount of blood mist, mixed with his saliva or some of his own blood and it could make for a potent combination. Only now did she tell him to resist, to which Shinji frowned slightly and sighed, bracing himself for some level of inevitable pain and discomfort. He shrugged as she told him not to harm the crew or destroy the ship. “This is a Karagata owned vessel and crew sworn to one of our vassal houses. If harm comes to them, it’s you that will owe me” he said with a devilish smirk, knowing full well how vulnerable to her he currently was. Nonetheless, he no longer feared her as he once did, only allowing a healthy amount of caution not to anger her to a point of breaking. He knew his value to her now, she had no reason to dispose of such a powerful partner. He grinned for a moment as she spoke of his power, but only for a moment as suddenly he felt a force deep within himself prying open the intricate Fuuinjutsu seal on his stomach. It glowed beneath his clothes; his mind raced. Was she finally turning on him? Releasing Vorashu like she had once promised. ‘I’m a damn fool’ he cursed, glaring at the woman dangerously.

The young Jinchuuriki’s body felt as if on fire, power he fought so hard to contain until it was convenient for him threatening to burst from every pore and blood vessel. “Vorashu!” he cursed in fierce resilience, even as the green chakra cloak flared to life around him and his hair began growing out and twisting into braids. ‘You squirm, pathetic and weak. Helpless against the blood witch’s magic. How does it feel to be betrayed?’ Vorashu egged on, seizing at any opportunity to feed into Shinji’s emotions and fears. Yet Shinjiro would not give in so easily nor let his emotions rule him. Inhaling deeply, he embraced what he could, what was familiar, allowing Vorashu’s chakra to surge free to the furthest point he had awakened. The third form, then with all of his will he slammed the chakra gates linking himself and Vorashu as tight as he could, stopping the flow of any additional chakra.

Deep green chakra formed a close layer around Shinji’s body, his hair like a lion’s mane, braided and twisted down to his chest and framing his face that was now obscured by dense green chakra, forming a chakra mask over his entire head. His arms had each grown longer by a full three inches, pushing off his gloves in the process and the charcoal coloring of his hands and wrists spread up his forearms. In a flash he drew his sword, aiming to slash Maido’s head clean off. He knew it wouldn’t kill her but the special qualities of his blade, aptly named ‘Agony’ would interact with her chakra network and give her a taste of pain, something he doubted she had experienced for quite some time. “You’re right. I didn’t like that” he growled as he took a step to move past her, sword already back in its sheath unless held in place; his cold tone was layered with a sinister echo of the Genma state. Now that he had control of himself and his senses about him, he was inclined to believe she at least didn’t intend to kill him but rather to test his resolve. His retaliation had been instinctual but not underserved. If he truly intended to kill her he would have unleashed a relentless fury of slashes until her core was destroyed. “Let’s go then” he stated in a rather irritable tone, regardless, if his strike was successful or not, diving into the water unless otherwise restrained. It was one thing to mess around with his body and inflict pain on him, he had endured such torments all his life and grown calloused to it. But to have the one thing that rested completely on his own will, now forced upon him was an unwelcome and wholly unfamiliar feeling.
Jutsu UsedShow
Form 3: Having gained more mastery over the Genma, the hosts sickly green aura will now hang close to their body, forming an incorporeal cloak around their body. The ashy color on their hands will extend further up their arms, and their wild hair will appear like a mane around their face. Most notably, their chakra will form a sort of mask around their face, though without visible features. In this form the host gains the ability to grant transformations and boosts to any animal they have spawned, as well as partial transformations to them, making chimeras.

*[Iaido • Silent Passing]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • Death’s Gates].
Unlike most of Iaido's techniques, Silent Passing is not particularly useful in the heat of combat. Instead, it is an attack meant to be executed from a standing position, such as while casually walking towards an opponent. Once in close enough proximity to the opponent, the practitioner draws their sword, strikes the opponent's opening, and sheaths their blade with such speed, it appears to the untrained eye that the practitioner continued to simply walk past their target. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, the opponent will not be capable of fully avoiding this attack if they are in range without some sort of passive defense.

[Open] Stepping Over The Lines Part 1

Post by Sia » Wed Jul 07, 2021 4:11 am

So then too Maido recalled and thought for a moment. She lacked, truly a bit of restraint. Perhaps then she could benefit from doing something that was different. Something she was not much known for, that could be a bit. She needed assistance, that was to be true. For now, she'd work on gathering something from deep within her soul. She would take her chakra and turn it to something dark and most twisted. Writing it out, she put it down onto paper. But then brought her fingers up, and began to transcribe it into a fog. A small, black mist began to ooze from her finger tips as she jumped off from the boat. Her companions came with her, and they all floated on the water.

Truth be told, she hadn't even anticipated it. She considered oddly for a moment if she could use blood to rust. She considered it far too late. Shinjiro was certainly faster now. Her head had been wiped clean off. No sooner had she landed on the water, really. Her head turned over and fell into the water. Whatever vile thing she'd been about to conjure was silenced and she found herself feeling something she hadn't felt for another in centuries.

Proud.

She'd even moved to throw her cloak in the way but wasn't fast enough. Hisayo and Kayoko gasped together, though still hadn't spoken. Only Hisayo had seen it clearly and even then it seemed pretty fast. She wasn't sure she could beat him. In fact, she was confident he'd kick her ass. She remained silent as usual and continued to observe. Her senses were open so the twitching was there. Her right eye closed for a moment and took in just a half view. Kayoko however, didn't particularly have anything going on. She didn't throw about jutsu willy nilly, for her body required much maintenance. Instead, she stretched a bit and kept nearby for a spell.

Yes, that was what she made of. Blood and pain, thought Maido. In a delirious manner she then sort of turned. Her balance was now off and she waltzed on the water quite dumbly. "Say that was pretty good Shinjiro," her voice exclaimed from nowhere with a glee. Then the pressure came, she felt it in the neck. It rang down quickly into the rest of her body. "Enchanted then, is it?" She asked after a moment. Her body tensed up and she made no motions. The waves continued to lash about here, in the middle of Water Country.

"I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't drink my own poison, wouldn't I?" Maido finally said and performed a jutsu even though she had no head to speak of. Suddenly, the full effects of the weapon began to be known to her more fully. Agony writhed throughout this host body and she felt it in it's most truly named glory. It wracked at her hard, more than she had expected. After some time passed, she was still being affected. "I quite like that." She said after a while and then did hand seals again and red tendrils shot down into the water. Her head came back up, now soaking with salt water. Red tendrils brought her head back and twisted it into her body. They sewed together, filled in, and readjusted in a hurry. Little tiny light green chakra threads that dashed about and sewed the body shut. She spat out salt water and felt the pain from Agony's cut in her head now too.

It was a nice blade, for sure, she wondered what it was worth. The Swordsmen were in good hands it would seem. "I have to date, never breathed in this type of jutsu for fear of horrible repercussions that may befall the body." She paused, began to muster chakra in her hand, released a very tiny poof of sickly green mist, and continued. "I wonder, if I were to make something like the Plague Infusion jutsu except that it turned people's blood into acid, how easy it would be to just...Take something we want from somewhere else." She grimaced in visible pain, still not turning off her nerves.

She didn't need to breathe either, having now made it a past time. She looked up, though it had not been from her own will. Her head had been forced to view the rising sun by the will of another. It was easy sometimes too easy to get lost in the mist. One of her companions spoke up. "It's about to be dawn." What then, to push her too further. The blade had been black, at least that part she'd seen. "What do you call that sword then, Shinjiro?"

What could she do, but perfect something wretched. In a flurry of hand seals and the tossing of her hand, she took a few steps backwards, bound east but began to walk on the water. An acidic green mist began to encroach the area. It was coming in quickly, it was meant to bring burden. To stay in it for long would not feel good, even to one such as Vorashu. Yet, she needed some fine tuning here, so she did some more hand seals.

She pulled the elements apart, and bent them left, then up with ram and ox. Rust wasn't wasn't going to do. She needed it to be acid. But not real acid. No, a crazy, manic, fever dream acid. One should be very careful when trying this out, for sure it would piss someone off but hey, she let the beast out. She performed some hand seals and tightened her focus. "Maybe then, we should become mist." She continued to seal. "Hisayo, Kayoko, you're up. Endure this, it'll be fine, probably." Larger green mist suddenly began to come in. It encroached from every direction and didn't distinguish friend or foe. To stand in it or breathe it much was to knock on death's door. Yet, here in the middle of the ocean, who would ever even know? Her two young disciples stepped forward and gulped. They walked into the mist for just a moment and breathed. How horrible, they both immediately thought. This was certainly something perverse and not without question.

If she perfected the technique, it could be a worthwhile investment. Either way, Maido too stepped now into the green mist. "We should cloak the boat soon." She inhaled, hard. "This isn't quite what I had in mind. It needs to be more stable."
Jutsu usedShow

Maido:

Temporary Nerves
E-Ranked Non-Combat Ninjutsu
By channeling chiton chakra throughout a host body, Maido can cause herself to be able to temporarily receive more physical sensory input from the body. Whereas she normally cannot feel the pain or pleasures of a host body and instead just feels differences in pressures, this jutsu will allow her to temporarily experience them to the fullest extent if she so desires. Due to the relative low strain of this jutsu, it can last for a number of post equal to 1/2 Maido's chakra pool.

Iijutsu: Chakra Stitching
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, Iijutsu: Chakra Stitching truly shines. After channeling chakra into a wound along their host's body, the user will begin to concentrate and condense the chakra more finely, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the user, rather than the recipient it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with quick surge of chakra. Due to the user supplying the chakra to the host body, strenuous movement will not cause the stitches to tear.

Acidic Mist: Shroud and Seep
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Mist Concentration, Acid Concentration
After forming the required hand seals, the ninja creates a blanket of Acidic mist which covers the area in front of them. The mist covers 40x40x40m area. The mist limits the visibility of those inside to 3 meters in any direction, and dampens scents, weakening any advanced scent techniques, or controlled scent techniques by 2m. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to the user's 1/3 chakra pool.

Hisayo:

[Skitter Step • Senses Open Variance]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The main jutsu of the Skitter Step, Senses Open does exactly what the name states. The user takes a moment to focus their bodies, then releases it. While in this stance, the users sensory input is increased, allowing them to receive more information quickly. This stance will remain in effect until deactivated by [Stop]. Practitioners of this technique will find themselves fidgeting and constantly moving, which can make it difficult for them to use this style while on stealth missions.
