Shiun came to a stop and looked around to find... nothing and no one. Damn! They'd moved! Right as she was going to pick a direction to go and try to pursue them, though, she heard the bound up team mate yelling out, causing her to whip her head around to her own teammates that she couldn't see. Not for very long, though, as the Konoha team displayed remarkable teamwork! The ball of light illuminated the area and simultaneously cut through the mist to reveal both their position and her own to Shiun and vice versa. She looked over to the pair of them not even 10 meters away, tensing up in preparation to rush them down. That instant of hesitation cost her, though, as the Nara's shadow darted forward and ensnared her!

The mushroom-capped samurai found herself unable to move for an instant! She could look down and see the shadow that wasn't her own connected to her feet, look up and see that it was connected to the Nara girl! Out of the corner of her eye the ball of light blitzed forward to unleash its deadly lasers! Was this it? Was she about to be knocked out of this thing and become as useless as she feared she would be?

No! Suzuko to the rescue! The flames from her teammate aimed at the Konoha pair broke the shadow's hold over her! She had an instant to react and used it on reflex, turning just in time as a laser came and collided with her body!

... At least, that's how it'd look at first; right up until the laser passed through her and her body burst apart into a shower of shiny coins that would glitter and shine in the light of the Awai boy's laser show in a 10 meter area: an absolutely perfect distraction for her to dash away and end up just a little bit behind the Nara girl and outside of the range of the lasers. In the adrenaline of the moment, she was unable to help herself from crying out:

"HOLY SHIT I ALMOST DIED!"

The moment she said it she turned and locked eyes with the Nara girl, sharing an instant of bewilderment with her before she made her own counter attack! Channeling kiton chakra into her left hand, Shiun would fling her arm wide as through she were throwing a kunai but no! A shower of 12 golden ryo coins would go flying at the Nara girl (12 SPD/STR) while she simultaneously rushed forward right behind them, closing the distance between her and the girl no matter where she moved to (if, indeed, she did move) before she started throwing hands! Unpredictable and unorthodox where her strikes, punches and kicks coming at odd timings and peculiar angles as she swayed back and forth and pressed onwards with a vicious, drunken (alcohol free!) assault! She was trying to keep the girl occupied, prevent her from weaving handseals, and, if at all possible, knock her head around and knock her out cold as she threw wild punches at her jaw, temple, chin, the occasional kick to the gut - anything and everything to keep up the pressure as she was fueled by the adrenaline of a perceived near-death experience!

Prerequisite: *[Basic Jutsu • Change of Body Stance Technique]
A variation on the *[Basic Jutsu • Change of Body Stance Technique], the user performs the handseals and replaces their body with a mass of ryo coins roughly the same size as their body which take a blow for them. Upon receiving said blow the coins will scatter in a large burst, covering a 10 meter area in a shiny, distracting manner, allowing the user ample time to make an escape, reposition themselves or otherwise hide as they see fit. This jutsu may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user performs the handseals or channels Kinton chakra into their hand, creating a numerical amount of ryo coins equal to the user's Control. These coins can be thrown as a distraction or used in other, more creative ways.

Drunken Fist • Hold My Sake
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic and default stance of all Drunken Fist, the user enters this stance by holding their arms out in front of them, one arm extended out further than the other while the opposite is kept closer and curled inwards towards the body with both hands further curled inwards, pinkie and ring fingers curled against their palms while the thumb, index and middle fingers are held out so as to mimic the gesture of holding a sake cup. Simultaneously, the user will sway and tilt from side to side and in circles in an erratic and unpredictable fashion while the legs are held in a position that seems counterintuitive, with one leg forward but both feet angled inwards. Assuming this stance makes the user's movements harder to follow and predict while also increasing the user's Speed by 2 and reducing their Strength by 2 for as long as they maintain this stance.

Drunken Fist • Get Your Own Drink!
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user makes full use of their ability to use unorthodox, sudden and unpredictable movements to snap their body to and fro, arms and legs, torso and head swiveling around obstacles as needed to get around objects or parts of the opponent's body in order to keep away or otherwise avoid an object within the user's hand, to get at and take something from an opponent's hands or otherwise create openings for strikes that come from unusual angles and positions.

Rio took note of the rubber boy's ability. Strange- for him to break her hair he had to be really, really strong. That rubber ability also meant most of her kit would not be of much use against him.

Wasting no time as Suzuko went into gear disappearing the wind and shooting fireballs, she'd navigate out of harms way while simultaneously drawing a knife and flicking at the ball of light that was moving closer through the clouds with precision. This move would, with her strength advantage, deflect the light off to a direction where her comrades were not. Like knocking a ball a different direction with another ball in mid-air.

With that, she'd instantly sprint for where Shiun was, and as soon as she was close enough or had vision on the enemy toss two throwing knives for the Awai (26 str/spd), making the Awai her target. She'd aim for the arms or something non-lethal.

This allows them to envision complex happenings around them with ease: this means it is hard to surprise attack the practitioner as they are always aware of their position and their surroundings. Likewise, they have a greatly sharpened ability to judge the speed of things, and the spatial aspect of them.

The Clash
B-Ranked Maneuver Taijutsu
Rio will deftly launch a projectile at an oncoming solid mass. If the [Strength] behind her projectile meets or exceeds the Strength of the attack it is clashing against, the attack is deflected away from the practitioner, often destroying the incoming attack in the process too. If the projectile is only slightly weaker than the attack (-5 Strength or less), the attack is still partially deflected, though Rio must supplement her defense with other techniques or movements to fully avoid the attack. If Rio cannot perceive or track an attack, this cannot be used.

This was all happening way too fast. Aki's brain clicked like monkey figuring out how to sign. Although, that analogy made no sense, fear not, Aki was calm cool and collected. He was already in the Limbo realm with the clones, of which they started to head towards the nara girl. It seemed that the sensory boy was clever and the leader, however how could he attack, sense, and make call outs with all of this happening. With the clones heading toward them, Aki would witness everything happening, to the point where he would react swiftly but carefully. The child would see the jutsu's get taken care of by his teammates, so he had to make sure that any movements they made, they paid for.

In an instant Aki would find an angle and watch as Rio threw a couple kunai at the Awai. With a couple seconds of gazing upon his movements, Aki would throw a kunai in the direction he thought the Awai would go. He threw it in a way, to not interfere with his teammates, especially since the kunai would be invisible to the eye. The Kunai would launch at 10 Strength 15 Speed and go right towards his right quad. While running, the boy would take a turn towards the rubber man. It was clear he was an odd one, however he had to make sure that he could diffuse the situation if need be.

Aki would have his silhouette quickly approach the rubbery man in the meanwhile. The Silhouette would also strike the face of the rubbah boy (This would happen at 20 Strength/Speed), which would potentially confuse him while Aki made his short way over there. Before he reached, the child would take out 3 kunai and launch all of them at the bouncy guy in case he was able to dodge the first couple of attacks. Aki would predict his next movement and toss the kunai's at his stomach region. The kunai would be invisible to the eye. The Kunai would launch at 10 Strength 15 Speed.

Things were going poorly fastly and that was badly. "How did that happen?!" She cried out as the boy suggested that he was made out of rubber, to which he presumably replied from deep within the mist "Yo-ho-ho I took a bite of gum-gum." Which, if he did, would have made his position easier to track and a cluster of 5 senbon would be shot in his direction. As the light lit up the arena, too, Suzuko would power up her puppet completely, giving her the speed needed to backtrack away from the explosion at an angle that was beneficial and allowed her to close in on the pair. She hadn't spent all that much chakra thus far, and more importantly had time to rest and recover her reserves between events, plus being able to top up at the fountain from before meant she had plenty more give and go in her.

With her projectile launcher still raised, and steam starting to fill the battlefield from its intense action, she lit her flamethrower up and blasted in the direction of the pair. The light from the flames would serendipitously interrupt the casting of shadows towards Shiun, but just as importantly would force the pair to take first degree burns or scatter away from eachother if they could even manage to avoid the [15] strength/speed jet of flame cascading towards them. All the while, too, she would channel chakra through her body, readying herself to cast a fuuton ninjutsu at hopefully both of them, but prioritizing the Awai if the two scattered. Regardless, this gust of wind would be likely to disperse the mist, giving her companions clearer vision of the battlefield from further away.

Fuuton • Great Breakthrough
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape at a 1:1 ratio, 1 meter away from the user being 1 meter wide and a 25m width at the end of the cone. The wind moves with [Control] Speed. This cone of wind both cuts and pushes away with [Control] strength. This blast goes out for a maximum of 25m and can be held for a maximum of 2 posts and moved side to side to cover a large area so long as the user remains stationary. This technique was developed by Takeshi.

"Yohohoh-" The faint laughter echoing across the mist was cut off as the rubber boy ricocheted against some trees on the boundary of the mist, his words cut off as he took a leafy branch to the face.

The pair began to walk backwards as the other team began to move in and their team mate broke free. The Awai's focused onto the incoming puppet as it barreled towards them and began to form hand seals in response. Flying through a sequence, he threw both hands out as a barrier of solid light formed 2 meters in front of him and his team mate [20 Str/Spd 3x3m Wall], the flamethrowers flames battering against it. With another hand seal, the wall began to fly towards Suzuko only to be shattered by Rio's knives. The first one met slight resistance before tearing through the construct and barely missing due to it while the second one struck home. The knife lodged itself into the Awai's left forearm with a wet squelch. The boy yelped in pain; the blow had definitely broken his ulna. His left arm dropped to his side and he began to channel again as Shiun closed in from her short position in an attempt to focus on his team mate. Changing from stepping back to launching himself between the two, and narrowly dodging the invisible kunai from Aki in the process, the Awai threw his hands forward as if his jutsu was ready to cast in an attempt to bluff and scare Shiun if only for a moment.

The Nara cancelled her first jutsu the moment the flamethrower flames began to throw off her shadow. She ran through a series of hand seals as they trudged backwards, opting for speed rather than utility in her casting, as Shiun closed in. She finished the seals as her team mate stepped in between the two girls and directed her shadow around his and towards the mushroom girl, intent on taking her out or hostage.

~Eiketsu • Stranglehold
B-rank Ninjutsu
The user will perform a sequence of hand seals and will hold the final seal, the user will send their shadow out across any surface toward a target at a speed equal to the users [Control] aiming to connect with a targets shadow. If it connects, the target will be held into place unable to move unless their [Strength] is equal to the users [Control]. A shadow will take on the shape of a hand and will wrap around the targets neck, breaking their windpipe and choking them until they pass out, if the target has 10 [Strength] below the users [Control] their neck will be snapped. This can also be in conjunction with other shadow trapping techniques, if the target is already caught. Lasts for 5 posts.

The rubber boy sat up from his landing spot and looked around confused in an attempt to find his team or the other team. His efforts were cut off by a strike to his face, which while he registered it happened, didn't really hurt. Confused, more blows down upon him. Still not really hurt due to the strength put behind the blows, the boy tried to snatch whatever was hitting him as it hit until he felt three sharp pains blossoming across his stomach. Looking down, his blood dripped down the kunai sticking out of him, revealing the tip of the weapons.

He fell to the ground and against the trees, blood seeping from each of the wounds as he fought to stay conscious from the blood loss.

Suzuko's attention was taken up by the Awai in the moment. With the mist blown away by her fuuton jutsu, she was able to pinpoint and find them rapidly, within a consistent, ideal range. "Stop!" She commanded, her voice tinny but exaggerated and clear thanks to the voice amplifiers in the suit. "Drop your weapons, and cease your channeling! If you forfeit now, I will heal your wounds." She offered. Of course, she had no way of knowing her kunai throw against the rubber boy would have been so successful meaning he needed serious attention as well. Maybe the sensor on their team would have a clearer idea of that. She fired her flamethrower over their heads threateningly as a warning.

Maybe it was a weakness to offer this to them at all, like she had before. Maybe if she was more ruthless she would have simply turned on her flamethrower again and burned them relentlessly, but these were really just students like her at the end of the day, ninja or no. She'd taken part in a few live fire exercises in the past, and still the goal was generally to make your opponents surrender, they were your neighbors, after all. These three children from Konoha may have been ninja from a foreign village, but she couldn't really bring herself to think of them as enemies under this context.

It might have been her downfall. It might even have been something that could cause her to fail the exam. It was likely to be a bit of a formative moment for the young girl, whether they agreed to surrender or took advantage of that to make a counterstrike.

Rio was quick in not relenting on her attack- with her attack on the Awai successful, she'd be careful to not let him attack again. As he stumbled back and his arm went limp both hands drew four throwing knives each as she chucked four for him in a spread aiming towards his legs. Two would over shoot him and land behind him, but then bounce back in an angle aiming for his hamstrings. With any luck he'd step back to avoid the two from the front and think the two going behind were a mis, only to back up into the surprise.

The other four were released in a tight spread for the hands of the Nara, who as now focused on her jutsu. She'd angle them so that the sharp bits didn't hit the Nara's hands, but the "sides" of the knife would hit. Concussive force but no lose of fingers. That'd be cruel.

While she did this, simultaneously she continued forwards to Shiun's aid while her hair also sprung up around her and rapidly shot out for the Nara, splitting into two main tendrils of hair and aiming to grab each arm and pull them apart.

Rio hadn't much experience against ninja, but she knew when their hands were held together like that it wasn't good, and if she could stop that, it'd stop whatever she was up to.

Bouncing Projectile

The practitioner aims a projectile at a shallow angle, targeting the ground or a hard surface. The shallow angle of the shot causes the projectile to bounce off of the surface, moving at -1 Speed and striking with -1 Strength after the bounce. This technique can be used to launch an attack from an unexpected angle or to shoot around, over, or under obstacles.

The child watched as the rubber man got pulverized. The Silhouette would stay behind with the rubber boy in case he tried anything else. As Aki began to look forward at what was going on, he would gently toss a kunai to the silhouette within the limbo realm. The silhouette, invisible to the eye, would also be holding an invisible kunai. If the rubber man was to try something, this being would be ready to strike.

The child would take a couple more steps and yell following Suzuko's lead. "You are out numbered and out classed. Just hand over the scroll parts and both of our parties will be on our way." Aki would take out two kunai from his pouch and be in a ready position in case things had to take a dark turn. The boy was more than ready to pounce at a moments notice.

[Golnax]

A lot of stuff was happening simultaneously all of a sudden. Far too much for Shiun to properly keep track of. Not only were her teammates doing things off to the sides of her vision that she wasn't paying attention to, but things were happening right in front of her as she tried to do stuff herself! She saw a flash of light off to her right, then the Awai kid was moving in front of Shiun between her drunken flailing and the Nara girl she was after! Suzuko was shouting something and spraying more fire. Rio was also doing stuff. Aki was who knows where, and Shiun hadn't even registered the rubber kid since he had yelled a few seconds ago and so was completely ignorant of his state of being. And what was Shiun doing during all of this craziness?

Well, she kind of did her thing: Which was panic. The sudden appearance of the Awai in front of her successfully made her stop her forward assault, the mushroom-capped samurai weaving back as he raised his hand but when no jutsu or further attack came from him, she began to channel her chakra (at the same time as the Nara girl moving back and doing her handseals). She'd narrowly survived a seriously life threatening attack she swears you guys from this Konoha kid - and was he bleeding from his arm now!? - and she was not about to tangle with him in close range if she could help it! So, she did the only thing that made sense to her to try and do:

Before the Nara girl could finish her handseals, as Rio was making her moves and Suzuko was blazing her flamethrower over everyone's heads, Shiun produced a large mass of spores in a 12 meter dome cloud all around her all at once, her mushroom cap exploding with spores that went flying in every direction! The thick cloud of spores would cover Shiun, the Awai, and the Nara easily, possibly her other teammates as well, creating a choking fog of fungal spores that would not only compete with the actual fog for thickness, but would blanket the area around the Nara girl and prevent her shadows from doing their work. The only person not affected by this would be Shiun - because she knew to hold her breath! And while doing so, she'd jump up in the air as high as she could, channel chakta into her feet, and then double jump with a burst of chakra to put distance between her and the two Konoha combatants - because she wasn't about to fight the two of them head on if she could help it! She was too afraid!

When she landed on the ground a dozen meters or so away from where she had been, Shiun would run forward away from the action as fast as she could and come across the rubber boy who was bleeding out from his stomach! The sight of him made her come to a screeching halt as her eyes went wide. "Jeez! Are you okay!?" she asked dumbly, immediately realizing what she said to the slumped over boy with three knives in his belly. "Sorry! Dumb question! Just, uh, hang on!" she said, kneeling down beside him and channeling chakra into her hand, producing a white mushroom which she plucked and held up to his mouth. "Eat this! I don't have time to explain, it's going to heal your stomach!" she told him, trying to push the mushroom against his lips to encourage him to do as she said. "Just eeeeeeeeeeeeat it!"

If there was one thing Shiun would take away from all of this craziness later, it was that she needed to learn how to keep composed under pressure better.

~Lesser Spore Cloud
D-ranked Nintaijutsu
The user gathers chakra throughout their body before releasing a thick cloud of spores that cover an area equal to the user's [Control] stat in meters. Inhaling these spores is comparable to inhaling smoke or ash and can cause heavy, labored coughing to anyone caught within it unexpectedly. The cloud lasts for two posts or until cleared by some means such as a fuuton technique. These mushrooms and spores can be used for other jutsu.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling chakra into his feet, Taiga will cause his foot to release a controlled blast of chakra from it's bottom equal to a D-Rank explosion. A clever technique, the force created by the weak explosion gives his foot enough resistance to push off of seemingly thin air, allowing him to "spring" himself up.

~Elizabethan Mushroom
C-ranked Kinojutsu
Prerequisite: 10 Endurance
The user gathers Mycorrhiza and creates a thick, white mushroom from their body. Upon consumption of this mushroom, the body will begin to heal itself in a regenerative fashion. The rate of regeneration depends on the user's Control stat, as specified by the standard regeneration table. This mushroom is only capable of healing Moderate wounds and lesser.

In a flash, it was all over.

The Awai crumpled to the ground as Rio's shuriken ricocheted and cut through the backs of his knees. His PCLs, MCLs, and ACLs were shredded by the shuriken, all he could do was push himself up with his single functioning arm as he glared at the enemy team. Hatred burned in his eyes while rough coughs racked his body due to the mushroom spores assaulting his throat and lungs.

A bloodcurdling scream escaped the Nara as her fingers were broken and mangled before she was turned into a limp punching bag unable to escape from Rio's hair bindings pulling her arms apart.

Meanwhile, the rubber boy continued to bleed out and fade in and out of consciousness even with Aki threatening him as if he was still lucid. He didn't even register Shiun forcing a mushroom down his throat before he did lose consciousness, even as his wounds began to slowly stop bleeding and scab over.

With the team broken and defeated, the Awai made the decision to give up and get further aid for his team mates. He fished the map pieces from his supply belt with his one good arm before throwing them haphazardously at the other team.

With a full map now assembled, Team Suzuko would make their way to the nearest exit and successfully pass their Chuunin Exam.
