Well, dam!

Post by Suitonic » Mon May 09, 2022 11:28 pm

Swiftly exiting the nearby mountain tunnel, Airon would be on his way. He would need to make his way slightly higher up the mountain. Airon's destination was the dam that stopped the White River from overtaking several villages. If he remembered correctly, this was the same exact river that his father had taken he and his sister fishing once on a “vacation.” Which was really just a Jashinist assassination mission in disguise that they were dragged along to as children. . The route they had taken so far back was slightly fuzzy in his memory, but he did know that the trial he sought would lead him northeast.

This particular mission he was given was an odd one. It didn’t require fighting, only helping to save the Dam from being flooded. After his run in with Shio in the Land of Iron and almost getting killed, a chance of pace would be most welcome. So he sighed a sort of relief as he continued on his way.

This deep in the woods the tree line was thick. Finding that path would be hard. Airon expected that in some sort of way it would be altered, but how much? Even though he was unsure he still pushed on north. Eventually after a couple of hundred steps forward the forest begun to open up. The shinobi tripped over a small twig and stumbled into a clearing. Not only did he stumble into a clearing, but also a clean cut dirt path with a wooden sign staked into the ground. The lettering was faded, but still he was able to make out the letters WHITE RIVER 3.5 miles north. Following close behind him was Hibana, who was as silent as the forest.

'Well, that's reassuring' he thought to himself and although he wouldn’t hear it Hibana would have the same thoughts. Airon gained speed once he got on the path. At first, he started out at a slow jog, but before he knew it Airon broke out into a full on sprint. The wind slapped him constantly in the face as the trees blew past him in a blur. It wasn't long until he came to the end of the tree line. The flow of water was distant yet so close. In front of him was hundreds of workers rushing over to add anything they could to support a struggling dam.

They had wood beams tactically placed, and countless number of stones lined up against it. The sound of hammers hummed within Airon's ear. Men ran about shouting orders and requested supplies. Unaware of his place among this crowd Airon just strolled casually towards the scene of workers hoping to find out what he could do to help. As he approached the many workers, a gathering of black clouds begun to cry upon the mountain top. Time was limited.

After a set of hand seals, the Kyoukan family member will close both of their eyes, then connect themselves to the vision of all current links they possess. A mentally taxing technique, the clan member must possess a sharp mind capable of weaving together the different sets of vision, but those capable can unlock an outstanding field of vision and view of the battlefield around them. Kyoukan family members may keep this technique running for up to [Willpower]/10 posts (minimum of 1 post). Opening their eyes at anytime during the duration of the technique will cancel the technique.
Chiaki had no idea why she was here. There were others that could have been, and probably would have been better at doing this job than her. She wasn't one to complain, most of the time, but this time she had no idea what the Raikage had in his pipe when he put her on this mission.

A worker rushed past with a beam on his shoulder that would have easily overburdened Chiaki and she narrowly dodged it as he turned a corner. They were part of the stabilization efforts that the village was putting forth were more than sufficient. Chiaki had tried to lift some of the rocks that the others were moving with ease, either with jutsu or with their bare hands and she had hidden her headband in shame after she had a civilian worker pick up a rock that she had been struggling with for a couple minutes with a grunt and a judgmental look.

Chiaki placed another tarp onto her lean-to medical structure that she had erected out of the way of the flood plane. She didn't know what would happen or who would need her but-.

The mental tirade of self deprecating thoughts were stemmed by a man who limped over to her lean-to and said in a gruff voice.

"Heard you were the woman to see if'n I got hurt, that's what the others were sayin'." He looked to the medical supplies and pulled up a log, sitting on it in a chair-like fashion and pulled up his leg revealing a gash four centimeters opened and which stretched from his knee-cap all the way down his shin, in a semi-spiral to his achilles' tendon. It was a wonder that he had been able to walk on it at all.

She put it down to the adrenaline from getting hurt in the first place. The man had looked away when he bared his leg.

"First I am going to have to sterilize it, and then I am going to have to numb it, and then I'll sew it up, but you'll be out of work for a good week or so while the internal damage heals. You're not going to be able to help with the dam anymore-cha." Chiaki wove her hand signs as she talked, her eyes looking at the wound and wondering whether or not the chakra sutures would even help in this sort of situation, or if she should just use regular stitches and let it heal by itself. After all, there could be more grievous wounds in future patients from this whole dam fiasco, and she should conserve her chakra.

The man snarled at her and she gave him a level look as she placed her hands on his leg next, as the chakra ate away all of the foreign objects and pathogens that could have seeped into the wound from him coming over and from the original site of the wound.

"Or you could lose full functionality of your leg permanently, you know, your choice-cha." Her eyes turned to a dark orange, almost the colour of pumpkins as she took out her medical thread and held it up for him to see.

"I'll stay off-a it. Give me that branch over there and I'll jest supervise." The man winced as she touched his skin with her chakra-coated hand, effectively numbing the area and started to stitch with the other hand, weaving the needle in the precise subculticular stitching process. She didn't want for this man to scar any more than was absolutely necessary, so hiding the stitches was her first priority.

When the stitching was done she hovered her hand over the top of the wound and reapplied the numbing technique which was still going.

"Don't overuse it, and if the stitches break, come see me at the Kumogakure no Sato general hospital, I'll redo them. They're tight enough for you to pout about 10% of your weight on your leg, but do not use it normally, or the stitches will break and you'll be at greater risk of permanent disfigurement or death by blood loss-cha." Chiaki stopped with the procedure and let her first patient go on his way.

That was when she saw the blur that was two ninja arrive on scene near the dam. What were they doing?

She walked over to the dam and raised a bloody left hand to the new-comers, "Hello! Are you here to help with the dam-cha?" she shouted over to the other ninja. Whether they were here to help or hinder would determine her next actions, but better to assume the best than the worst.

Well, dam!

Post by Suitonic » Sat May 21, 2022 12:13 pm

As Airon & Hibana were surveying the Dam, Hibana noticed that a young kunoichi was treating some of the workers there. This was interesting to Hibana, in her travels with Airon it wasn't that common to come across other ijutsu users. She seemed fairly skilled, and based on her observations, the young woman was probably a Chuunin. 'Well isn't that fascinating.' Airon on the other hand, didn't really care much about things like this. As it stood, he was frustrated to be here, but pay was pay. And any money he could make to get back to his siblings, was time well spent to acquire said money. As they approached the young woman's direction she called out to them and asked if they were there to help with the dam. Airon, not really being much of a people person simply said, "Yes." Before he could say anymore, a voice would boom from nearby.

"What the hell are you doing standing there?!"

A man, who seemed to be in charge of the current operation, approached the Jashinist & his compatriot and began screaming. It wasn't that he was a mean person; feelings just couldn't get in the way at such a critical time in the life of the village. It made sense, sort of, that the floodgates would weaken throughout the year, especially with such high water pressure that came through all the time. Hope never left the man's eyes, though, because he had led the team that helped last time, well five shinobi did, but that's beside the point. He was in charge this time around because no shinobi had showed up yet, even though he had already paid for them to be here. There was to be two of them in total, the village funds weren't exactly as bountiful as the past year. It was then that the man's eyes would pay attention to the attire of the male. One of his ninja had finally arrived! He completely ignored Hibana.

"About damn time you got here. Go get to your cha-kee-rah stuff! Go fix the dam!" He looked over at Chiaki, "A nurse? I requested two ninja, not a nurse. Probably gonna cost me more too, huh! There's no way I can afford whatever your fees are..." The big guy sighed and took in a deep breath.

All the man could do was point to the large wall, cracks leaking here and there. He didn't know how chakra worked, and he could care less. Last time, there was shinobi that was able to fight with each element. As far as the male knew, this shinobi and maybe even the nurse could use fire, wind, water, earth, and lightning ninjutsu.

[1058/830 training]

Chiaki ground her teeth at being called a nurse. She was a doctor by most rights, and a damned good one at that. She was also a training surgeon. the bastard.

Chiaki wasn’t able to really help in any way than doing what she was doing and hurting and/or berating the man that was the leader of the dam repair crew would be counterproductive so she just stood by and gave him a bored look. She might as well just continue doing what she had been doing, seeing as there was another person who was holding their limp arm by their side, coming up to the crew chief and giving a salute.

When he uncovered his arm he had a good 10 cm long laceration along his tricep which was why he wasn’t able to use it. He also greeted the man through gritted teeth while looking here and there at Chiaki, “Rock blew out of the wall and hit me in the arm. Can’t really say that I could have gotten out of there any sooner than I did. I heard that a doctor was donating her time? Cho came back with stitches and was able to work almost as well as he was doing before, and he said that his leg didn't hurt at all when he came back from his injury.” he looked again at Chiaki and her attire, then gave a pleading look to the other two shinobi and the crew chief.

Chiaki certainly wasn’t going to tell the crew chief how to do his job, but if he didn’t tell the wounded man soon that she was here to help, she would offer the information for free.

*Doton • Rock Creation
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user takes the time to push down into the ground their own chakra. They can then take the soil and form into into a rock substance with the strength of [Control]. The user may slam their hands against the ground in order to use this technique or just by pushing their chakra down to the ground. They can form this chakra into any sort of shape they want, but the D rank version of this jutsu can only be formulated into a rock the side of their hand.
It wasn't long until he fit in with the rest workers. Not that he was doing any work yet like them, but he was getting yelled at just like at them. Before he had time to respond or introduce himself to the man he was already given his first order. Instead of making small talk he figured it would be best to just follow these orders. The man wanted Airon to start using his chakra to some home fix the problem. 'Ha, if only it was that easy! Still, he wouldn't burst the man's bubble and saw no point in correcting him then lecture him on how chakra exactly works. 'No, that would take to much time.' Airon approached the large section of the wall that the man had pointed him towards. Water was trickling down the side through a bunch of tiny cracks. If only he could some how fill those cracks with some sort of material.

Then it clicked. The jounin had some knowledge from his time learning sand release when it came to the Doton release. Perhaps he had something up his sleeve to help. It was at least worth a try. Right away he clashed his hands together and swiftly completed a series of handseals. They only took him a second or so to complete, but then he smashed his right hand into the ground. With his fingers somewhat sunk into the muddy soil Airon begun to push forth waves of chakra. The earth begun to spit up four rocks that were quite strong and roughly the side of his fist. However, instead of large rounded rocks these kinds were flattened and not rough like an ordinary rock.

Airon thought that they could use this to cover up the cracks some how. “If anyone has anything to help me cover up these cracks with these,” He held up the flattened rocks he had created. “I would more then grateful, it could be enough to stop these cracks from leaking.” He finished speaking out loud to anyone who was listening and made a gesture to cracks in the wall. What he was trying to do was a stretch, but just maybe crazy enough to work. I mean it did make sense didn't it?

While he offered up some assistance Hibana noticed the chuunin kunoichi treating a worker. As she walked up she watched the woman carefully stich up her patient. When she saw the girl use normal stiches she tilted her head to the side, "You know, you could just use chakra stitching right?" She smiled to let the girl know, she wasn't trying to look down on her, but she was genuinely curious. Hibana softly gestured to the girls headband around her scarf, "What's the point in being a ninja if you don't use your chakra gifts?" She stretched out a hand and smiled, not particularly worried about the blood, "Oh, where are my manners...I'm Hibana!"

*Jikiton • Discharge
D-Ranked Jikiton Jutsu
After performing the required hand seals, the user will de-magnetize everything within a 10m distance of themselves. This cancels rather than applies the passive effect. Additionally, the user can target up to [control] specific items to demagnetize.

*Jikiton • Magnetic sewing technique
D-Ranked Jikiton Jutsu
Requires *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] and Iijutsu concentration
After performing the required hand seals, the user will imbue a medical needle and another needle in their hands. This will make the needle be able to mimic the movements of the needle in their hand, allowing the use of regular, harder to break stitches than the normal chakra stitches and frees up the use of the chakra since the user does not have to concentrate for the thread to stay in place. This jutsu stays active for up to [control/5] posts.

*Jikiton • Stasis cast
D-Ranked Jikiton Jutsu
Requires Iijutsu concentration
After performing the required hand seals, the user will place their hands on two pieces of long metal or magnetized objects, such as poles, sticks or other objects of a similar size. After coating it in Jikiton chakra, the cast will stay in place around a magnetized bone for up to [control] days and functions as a normal cast would, holding the broken bone in place and moving with the patient. This jutsu can be undone by the *Jikiton • Discharge jutsu.

*Jikiton • Foreign object removal
D-ranked Jikiton Jutsu
Requires Iijutsu concentration
After performing the appropriate hand seals, the user is able to pull a metallic object or an object that has been magnetized straight out of a wound through the original entry hole, foregoing the need for pliers, forceps or any other such instruments. This can also be used to surgically remove, without further damage a foreign object from the body which has wedged itself around or near vital organs without pulling the object through them.

*Jikiton • Draw
D-Ranked Jikiton Jutsu
After performing the required hand seals, the user will reach toward a metallic or magnetized object within 10 metres of the user. The target will be drawn to the user at [Control] speed, but can be held in place with [Control] strength.
Chiaki watched as the male ninja, who she had no idea the name of walked up to the wall and inspected it. He was tanned with white hair like most of the ninja in the village hidden in the clouds. She didn’t know whether or not she found him attractive. She had other business to attend to. Since the crew chief wasn’t paying any heed to her or her abilities, she would just figure out what to do and do it regardless of what he said. She was going to try to practice some of the Jikiton that she had seen other people do, and perfect the techniques that she had been thinking of for the other ones that she had written down. She knew that there was a certain feel to the Jikiton jutsu, almost like a magnetic pull. Well, duh, it was magnetic of course.

She sighed, and looked at the jounin as he smashed his hand into the dirt, and expected something like a pillar to erupt or some other such flashy technique. After all, he was able to make his seals faster than she was able to follow them, and that meant that he must be something above a Chuunin in rank right? When he pulled up the rocks, she felt- well- she felt like she had paid to see a movie and had gotten a puppet show instead.

Frowning, she tried to hide a snicker behind her hand as she took the man who was holding his limp arm over to the camp that she had set up. She had her tools there, and was thinking of opening him up with her scalpel when the kunoichi that had come with the other ninja came over to the tent and offered her two cents.

“Ah, another Medical Kunoichi then?” She tilted her head, “Maybe you can get that one there that is waiting in line then-cha?” She grinned, and then frowned at the mention of not using her chakra gifts, “I do know the chakra stitching technique, but there are about forty people that are working on this dam, and if I used my chakra stitching all day, I wouldn’t be able to do anything else. The chakra stitches are durable, but I have to keep concentrating for them to work as well as just regular old stitches-cha.” She nodded at the man’s wound. “Like this would take a long time for me to be able to patch up with chakra-stitches. I might actually need the hovering hand technique, but it looks a bit more complicated than that-cha.”

She explained what she was doing and then was proffered a hand. Chiaki wiped her own hands on the gown that she was wearing since she was going to get bloodied up from the field-surgery that she was performing, “I’m Kyoukan Chiaki-cha.” She smiled “of Kumogakure no sato, Chuunin.” She stated her name and her rank as was custom.

“I did use a bit of chakra to numb the man’s leg so that he could go about his business while being unaware of his injury, but I also let him know to take it easy. The chakra stitches aren’t as durable as regular old stitches and I use medical grade wire to stitch up my patients-cha.” She motioned to the spool of medical grade thread that she was using. It was actually made of a non-irritant metal, so it would keep the wound closed no matter what kind of fuss the patient put up.

“If you would like to watch me work, that is fine, but I do have a patient to attend to-.” She trailed off and looked from Hibani to the patient, and back to her before shrugging and turning to the man.

“Alright, so where did you get the puncture wound and did you see what flew out at you?” Chiaki looked at the arm and started to wipe the blood off of it. She needed to know whether or not the object had an exit wound or not, and that would determine whether or not she would have to go in there and retrieve it or whether she could just bandage up the entry and exit wound and send him on his way.

“It was a nail, flew right out when a crack in the dam was made, and hit me in the arm. Thought it was a rock but I can feel the sharp point digging into me.” He said through a clenched jaw. Well that wasn’t good. He would probably get tetanus from the wound if it was some sort of metal that was exposed to water. That wasn’t good at all.

Chiaki sighed and put a hand up to her forehead, thinking about it and then looked back at the open wound which was oozing blood and held up a cloth, “I’m going to need you to put pressure on it while I look for an exit wound on the back of your shoulder. Your shirt is ruined, do you mind if I cut it?” She took out her medical scissors that she had brought from the hospital and showed them to him. He shook his head and clenched his teeth as he pressed the cloth that she had given to him over the wound. She cleaned the area on the back of his arm, but she knew when she didn’t see the same weeping bloody wound in the back of his arm, nor any protruding foreign object.

Great. Great…

She focused her chakra into her hands and created some hand signs, concentrating on the object in his shoulder visually and with her concentration. “Lie back and I’m going to pull out the nail.” She grit her teeth in empathic pain as he hissed and took a supine position. “Go ahead and remove your bandage-cha.” She looked at the wound as he wove the handsigns and murmured: “Jikiton: Foreign object removal.” She focused on the wound and her purple chakra infused hands moved as she felt the nail in the wound as it was pulled by her hand. She frowned as she felt it wiggle in the wound but it was embedded into the bone. That wasn’t good. He would need to have some deep stitches when he was done with her removal of the object. She dropped concentration in one of her hands and focused it all into the left hand as she concentrated on getting the nail to come out. Soon enough she felt a bit of give in the nail as it rocked back and forth in a miniscule way and with a sharp popping noise, she had the nail in her hand, exiting through the same entry hole that it had made.

“Glad that it wasn’t a rock or something-cha.” She muttered and then looked at the wound. He would get tetanus if she didn’t treat it right now with the sterilization technique. This was going to be a gritty job. The patient was sweating and looked like he was about to bite through his cheek, his tongue, or break his teeth with how hard he was clenching his jaw. Not a great sign either. True, it would be easier to operate on an unconscious individual, but it would be near impossible to keep an eye on his vitals if she nicked something she wasn’t supposed to with the delicate needlework that she would need to do next.

“You’re going to want me to numb this up before I do anything else.” She wove a couple of hand seals with the nail still stuck to her palm, the blood dripping down on the arm. She used the technique that she had before, the chakra numbing technique and held it over his arm. The muscles that were clenched in his hands relaxed and his face resumed an almost somber look to it as the man averted his gaze from the open wound.

“Am I going to die doctor?” She heard him say as she poked around the wound to see whether or not he could feel it and then wove the hand seals for the sterilization technique so that he wouldn’t get infected before proceeding. She tried her hardest to keep the smile that a mother would give a child that was sick off of her face.

“No you won’t be dying today-cha.” Chiaki gave him a reassuring squeeze on his hand as she took out her tools from her bag, her medical needle and thread that was harder than the chakra stitches that she would have to use sparingly if she were to get to other victims of the violence of the dam that were lining up behind her.

She wondered whether or not she would get a chance to get to those people, and then turned back to the task at hand. She touched the man’s shoulder and then wove some more hand seals. She would try this since it was the best shot that she had of stitching up all of the loosened tissue that was inside of him. She knew that she would not be able to sew the tendon back to the arm, but she could at least make it so that the man would be able to move around with his other arm without worrying about this one for a week or so. She passed her hand over the needle that she had threaded with the metal medical wire and then touched another needle. The first needle moved with the second needle and she grinned.

“Hey look!” She laughed as she looked back to the patient whose head started tilting backward and started shaking uncontrollably. Oh no, he was going into a stress seizure. “Damn, damn damn!” She called the other Kunoichi over. “Can you hold him down so that he doesn’t hurt himself!?”

She dropped the jutsu for a moment that was holding the phantom needle and held down his chest until he stopped shuddering, taking about a minute, “Alright, that should do it-cha.” She moved deftly to continue with her sewing technique. She moved her chakra over the needle once more to sterilize it once more before she dropped the mimicking needle into the wound and started deftly moving the needle in winding figure 8’s. She would have to employ this type of stitch in case he went into a shock seizure again.

“Alright, and that should be that-cha.” She sighed and wiped her forehead, looking at her handy work. The wound was closed, and it was done so that there was no subversion or transition between the skin, so that there would be no scarring. The metal stitches could be removed by her using the same technique. She wrote him a prescription for some pain killers and then propped him up against the tree with her contact information. Better that he was out of the way for the next trauma that came her way.

She moved to look at the next patient who had hopped up on the table, scooting away from the blood. “Just hop down hun, if you would. That’s a good man-cha.” She yanked out the cloth from under him and crumpled it, tossing it on the ground and then looked at his injury. He was pale-faced and sweating like the last one. She gave a cursory look back at the line that was forming. Most of them had minor injuries.

“Would anyone who does not have a broken bone please make a separate line-cha?” She growled at the line as it moved, all but one over to the other side. There was a man that had what seemed to be the same injury as the boy.

“Blast it, I don’t have time for this-cha.” She grumbled and had the man come over. “Both of you have broken wrists, were you trying to hold something that was too hard for you to hold-cha?” She sighed and looked at both of the wrists. A deep purple was already spreading, and the wrists were hot to the touch. It meant that they were definitely broken, especially how they were both cradling them. She didn’t have the necessary technique to take care of both of these broken wrists, but she could at least set them.

This is going to hurt.” She said to the first young man and he nodded, clenching his teeth, “I am going to ask you when it hurts less, and then I’ll make sure that you’re able to get back to the village before you need to take painkillers, probably for a good two weeks. Make sure they’re non-narcotic. You don’t want to develop a habit-cha.” She lectured him as she took his hand away from his own grasp and felt the hand. The Capitalate was completely split down the middle but the rest of his wrist seemed to be fine. One half of the bone was floating up on top of the wrist, so it was a stress fracture. It seemed like a pretty clean break but he would have to see someone else to make sure that it was. She wasn’t going to cut him open just yet to make sure that any of the bone spurs were taken care of.

“Alright, I am going to count down from three. Are you ready-cha?” She murmured in the man’s ear, he smelled like stressful sweat and tears. She nodded as he nodded at her “Alright o-” She moved her hand deftly, tucking the bone into its proper place before he knew what had happened and he opened his mouth to open it in pain, gasped for air and then gave her a relieved look.

“Don’t move it. At all-cha.” She stared sternly into his eyes and once he gave her a curt nod she smiled easily and looked around to see what was around her.

There was a mess tent next to her where people went to eat on the job. It was apparently going to take a while for them to get the dam completely structurally sound. That was great. Then there was a couple of beds for people to rest if they should get tired, and then a bunch of supplies such as cement, rebar, and other things such as wooden beams. She sighed, she didn’t need a big piece of rebar for such delicate bones as the metacarpals.

“Alright. Let’s see-” she looked around, “That’ll work-cha.” She picked up eight spoons from the tent next to her, the mess tent. “Right, let me see your hand again.” She moved her hands deftly and magnetized the spoons before placing them on the hand and completing the last seal she kept them in place.

“Move your hand and see if it moves around with you-cha.” She instructed.

The youth waved his hand about and laughed, “It doesn’t hurt as much as it should, but ah, can I get you to please give me some medicine or something?” She nodded and performed some more hand-seals. This was getting chakra-expensive. She numbed the area.

“Make sure that you get a proper cast on that after about two days, and don’t use it until the doctor can get the cast off of you.” She nodded as the boy seemed to understand. She sent him away and performed the same on the other man, this time it was the pisiform and the lunate that were cracked. He didn’t have it as bad as the kid, the whole thing was dislocated though, and wouldn’t heal until she got it back into place.

She numbed the area before she popped it back into place and sent him with the same instructions and the same spoon casts from her Jikiton chakra. She was getting the hang of this Jikiton trick that she had heard of. The next people she would need to stabilize herself for. She wove the hand seals and her staff flew towards her and hung in the air in front of her. That was particularly handy.

“Alright, everyone line up. Yes, around me-cha.” She grinned at everyone, “Now you’ll see the might of the Kunoichi of the village hidden in the mist.”

She wove her particular hand-seals and tethered herself to everyone in the vicinity. Then she wove a different set and pumped her minor healing into each and every one of them. Their wounds just disappeared and they cheered her on as their cuts, ones that they thought were serious enough to warrant a visit to her were healed in front of their very eyes.

She grinned in victory and bowed as she leaned on her staff, letting the Kyoukan tethers drop from her and almost hearing them snap their bonds from the people gathered. She would need a good twenty minute breather after that one. Using her chakra as much as she had, put a heavy toll on her body. Not nearly as much as it once did since she had her chakra control under her belt, but still, it took quite a bit out of her.

~Tenketsu Tethering: Minor Heal
C-Rank Ninjutsu/Iijutsu
Requires: [Iijutsu]
After a set of hand seals, the Kyoukan family member will channel chakra into a specific tether delivering a pulse of healing chakra. This chakra will heal superficial damage and clot blood almost instantly however deeper but small wounds, cuts, bruises, will take up to a post to regenerate.

~Tenketsu Tethering: Link Up II
C-Rank Ninjutsu/Iijutsu
After a set of hand seals, the Kyoukan family member will make fire off a pink wisp of chakra from themselves at a target at a speed of [Control] and up to [Control] meters away. If contact is made, a tether will form. This tether can stretch up to [Control] x 2 meters and lasts for [Control]/5 posts. When stretched further than this range, the tether remains but will be unusable as a medium for tether techniques.

1 *[Iijutsu • Numbing]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
This field-oriented technique is used in place of typical anesthetics when they're not at hand. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place them over a group of muscles. As the chakra is channeled through the chosen area, numbness will begin to creep throughout it, beginning with the flesh before seeping into the muscle below. Small areas of numbness require very little time, while medium-sized areas (equivalent to half a limb) require one (1) post to numb, and anything larger than an entire limb requires two (2) posts of concentration to numb. This numbing begins where the user has placed his/her hands and spreads outward until the hands are removed. The numbness can only cause pain equivalent to being stabbed with a kunai to be nullified. Once numbed, the effects last for four (4) posts before fading.

1 *[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

Well, dam!

Post by Suitonic » Mon May 23, 2022 1:58 pm

Stat training: Willpower 2/75

After the male finished raging, he would walk away and he could be heard screaming again. It seemed he wasn't quite done giving orders to the people around. As the Jashinist began forming his hand seals, a group of workers that were working on the dam would stop to see what he would do. They were hoping that he would channel the chakra into the walls of the dam and cover the holes, but instead, the man had made small covers for the cracks instead. The men couldn't complain so they quickly walked up to Airon and grabbed the covers. Running back to the dam, they began to cover the holes with the chakra-made earth circles.

"Well, that's only one issue! Why are you just standing there still?! Haven't you learned that there isn't time for that crap!? You're supposed to be at the top of the damn helping the men up there create deeper trenches to make the water flow elsewhere! Go do more cha-kee-rah stuff!"
The older male would point to the top of the dam as he continued to explain what was going on. He wasn't exactly sure if he would make it through the whole project. The stress was definitely getting to him. If the young man made it to the top of the damn, he would see about forty men with shovels just digging; they were trying to steer some of the water away from the dam.

Not even twenty minutes into the mission and Airon was already getting annoyed. All this guy was doing was roaming around screaming at people to get to work, and yet he doesn't practice what he preaches. Airon sighed; it was all he could do. Any other time, he’d just kill people like this, but after that beating he took from Shio, he just wanted money and to relax. After all he was the one that already fixed a problem that was taking these men hours to do. No matter how much he mentally complained he would still stand there and take it. Not to mention, Hibana had been chastising him lately for killing so many people. He chuckled to himself, ‘the things I do for the people I care about’ “Huh?” He quietly stuttered. The ex sunagakure shinobi had managed to get lost in thought blocking nearly everything this dude was saying. All he managed to hear “was to go do more Cha-Kee-Rah stuff!” Then he put it all together when he saw the man point to the top of the dam.

Wanting to get away from this man as swiftly as possible, Airon went up the dam. At the top he could slightly feel the water shaking the massive structure. The whole thing made his vision rotate as he stepped forward. After about six steps in he gained focus in his eyesight back. The scene up here was no different than the ground level. Roughly forty workers give, or take is what Airon counted. Every one of them could be seen with a shovel digging trying to steer the water away. It was an impressive effort, but an effort was all it was. There was even another man, but the man didn’t look like a shinobi who was carving away with just chakra. Somehow the idea of just using chakra without any hand seals seemed odd to him. However, it seemed to be working for this guy.

"Oh man. About time some other shinobi got here. That old man was pissing me off. All he does is walk around yelling about chakra; bitch can't even say it correctly..."

Figuring it was worth a shot to join in Airon just walked over near the other shinobi and placed his right palm on to the ground. Tapping into his doton nature within his chakra he began to seep chakra into the ground. Bits and pieces began to chip away, but nothing any larger. Eventually the process would speed up, and he could do just as much as the other. Well, that's what he hoped at least. He really hadn’t used his doton natured chakra in so long he practically forgot how to use it. Six seconds or so ticked by and Airon was near the same length as the other shinobi.

About three minutes would pass and the rain would come. Time was running short. Noise erupted from the village. The rain meant the storm was nearing. It wouldn't be too much longer before the ninja and people would be fighting the storm. The regular men would begin digging faster while the shinobi kept at the same rate. He didn't want to overexert himself already. He would still be needed for later.

*[Iijutsu • Mystical Palm]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 20 Iijutsu
One of the almighty and most highly coveted abilities of medical-nin, the *[Iijutsu • Mystical Palm] technique allows its users to heal wounds quickly and efficiently. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will place them over the wound in question and begin to channel chakra through it. As the chakra interacts with the cells and tissues in the area, the wound will begin to regenerate and heal over until there's no remnant of it ever being there. Of course, this is not done in the blink of an eye. To heal small-to-moderate wounds, it takes very little time, while large wounds take one (1) post of concentration to mend, and mortal wounds take a total of two (2) posts to fully mend. This technique lasts for four (4) posts, but due to its chakra-extensive nature, users are not advised to treat multiple large wounds in a single use.

Hibana smiled as the woman explained why she preferred regular stitching as opposed to chakra stiches. The logic was certainly sound and Hibana tilted her head again. "I didn't mean to offend you. I guess I'm just not used to treating multiple people, normally I just stich up Airon", she points to her partner back at the top of the dam, "or reattach his head from time to time. So chakra conservation is ordinarily not an issue." She let out a laugh, before realizing that maybe she said a bit too much. She took Chiaki's hand and shook it. She smiled again at and with a genuine naievete said, "You have a really odd way of talking huh." Before long the chuunin would go back to attending to patients so Hibana looked around, not quite sure what she should do herself.

She hadn't helped people outside of Airon and the women of the brothel she was practically enslaved to as a child. While she was in thought Chiaki called her over to help her hold down the patient. Hibana winced at the advice that was probably given under some duress. She knew better than to hold down someone who was having a seizure, so she gently moved him to his side so she could keep the mans airway clear while the Kumogakure ninja administered her aid. Realizing that Chiaki was more than capable of handling this she stepped back and began to head towards Airon to see how he was doing.

Then... as if chaos itself decided to stop by, all hell broke loose.

Suddenly Hibana looked back to see several people, that did not at all look like the workers, wheel in what appeared to be three kumogakure shinobi. “What's going on?" She asked as she walked over to them.. "Three ninja hurt during a mission. All three have suffered Serious damages to their bodies. One has suffered two large slash wounds on his chest. The other has 2 broken ribs and arm. The last one has a puncture through his abdomen. We believe that it missed any major organs though." Hibana processed all the information thoroughly. “Why the hell did you bring them here and not the Kumogakure hospital?” “We wanted to bring them to the hospital, but we were too far outside the village, and we heard there was a medical cloud ninja up here and you were way closer. Are you her?” Hibana shook her head and began to point to Chiaki…but then she realized that she had her hands full and between the workers and these new patients, it would stretch her way too thin. She had to act, and suddenly all her experience kicked in. "No, but I’m a medical kunoichi…put the one with slash wounds and broken bones down over there. I'll start with the puncture."

Hibana walked over the man with the punctured hole in through his abdomen. He was smart in wrapping it up tightly to stop the bleeding but she could see that the bleeding was just getting worse. Quickly she took a kunai and cut the bandage to see the gaping wound. It was deep and it went straight through him however there were no signs of it hitting any of his major organs. Quickly Hibana began to get to work. Laying her hands over top of the wound she would begin to pour chakra into her hands. The chakra would slowly begin to glow round her hands a bright colored green. First step was to stop the bleeding. She began moving her chakra and controlling it to affect the wound. The chakra began to seep into the walls of his tissue and begin to use her chakra so that the bleeding would overall cease.

The process was hard fought seeing as the wound seemed so large and overbearing. She needed to force his body into a state of hemostasis so that she would be able to begin the repair on his tissues. Sweat began dripping from her brow as her face scrunched in concentration. She wasn’t exactly new to the medical field but with her primary patient being someone who can’t die this was a newer process for her, so with better experience she would have been able to treat this faster but because she never needed to move with urgency she would need to take longer to stop the bleeding. She began forcing her chakra into the walls to begin a type of layer that would overall protect the walls and stop it. However, after a few seconds she would feel the layers slowly breaking and overflowing from the blood accumulated. She needed to try something else.

Quickly she began to change her strategy and approach in all of this. She began to cauterize the wound with her chakra. Not in the sense that it would heat up but enough so that the wound would stop bleeding. She began putting a little more energy into her hands and the influx would cause a different effect on the wound. The man twitched in pain. "I know friend. I know it hurt's but just endure it a little longer okay." She began to fuel all her energy into her hands and slowly but surely, she can feel the tissues closing up and slowly stopping the bleeding.

She continued to work on the wound, slowly layering each bleeding section and making sure that the tissue was being closed off. She had to be careful however to only affect the desired tissues in his body. if she ended up cauterizing anything else it could possibly turn things into a worse direction than it already has. Soon she could feel the wound closing and in a matter of seconds the bleeding decreased and the first step in the process was completed. However, the worse was still yet to come. She now had to rebuild the tissue quickly before any type of infection were to take place. [Paused at 982 words]

*[Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Although simple to explain, the *[Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique] requires both skill and patience in order to mend the fractured or broken bones of patients. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will begin to channel it through the area of the break or fracture. As this chakra makes contact with the bone, it will stimulate the calcium production of the body and begin to mend the bone. To mend small-to-medium breaks, it takes one (1) post of concentration, while fractures are usually very quick to mend. Multiple breaks can be mended during the use of this technique as it lasts for a total of five (5) posts or until canceled. Users should beware that, like other regenerations of this kind, the nutrient stores of the patient's body are being depleted during its use, and too many uses of this technique in a short span of time can cause serious damage.
She didn’t mean to sound offended, as she had gone about her business, but perhaps she would get a chance to tell the other kunoichi that when she was less busy with the people in front of her. She was always making faux pas with her big dumb way of speech and her rather blunt way of explaining things.

When she was done, the other kunoichi was leaning over the kumogakure shinobi and recognized the teal chakra that was radiating in waves out of the kunoichi’s hands to the abdomen of the ninja in question. A kumogakure ninja from the headband, and the kunoichi was healing him with a variation of the hover-hands technique. That was all fine and good.

“Hello, I am Kyoukan Chiaki-cha.” She looked between the two shinobi who were sitting apart from the man, looking worriedly at their comrade. One was holding his ribs and his arm with his other, good arm, and the other one had a set of bandages with two deep wounds beneath them it seemed that were seeping through the cloth and starting to weep.

She would leave Hibana to the one with the deep gut puncture wound and would approach the man with the breaks in his bones, studying him to see whether there was signs of internal bleeding. He was sweating quite a bit, had his teeth grit in pain, but his lips were pink and when she told him to look at her, there was a sheen of pain in his gaze, but no slackness in his will nor anything to indicate that he was bleeding out internally, which left the man with the lacerations.

“I am going to treat your friend and then we’ll have a looksee at your fractures-cha.” She told the man with the limp arm who grit his teeth and nodded fiercely and jerkily. She knew that he could alleviate his pain but time was of the essence with bleeding out if the other one was in as bad a shape as she had thought.

She moved to the other man, who was calm, with a smile on his face, he was pale and sweating, his eye lids were drooping and he kept clenching and unclenching his jaw, seeming to be in the fight of nodding off, so her assessment was correct, he would need help before the other individual.

“I am Kyoukan Chiaki of Kumogakure no sato hospital-cha.” She explained calmly as she took out her medical scissors and cut away the first bandage to take a look at the lacerations that he had suffered to his chest. They were deep and she didn’t know whether or not they would be alright without washing them out first, whether that be with her chakra or whether it be with her tools. She bit her lip and looked at the other shinobi, who was at least stable and would be able to make it back to somewhere that he could get his bones set if needed. People could survive for days with broken ribs and arms, so she wasn’t too worried about him.

Noting this, she sighed and resolved to heal this shinobi first so that she didn’t lose anyone this day, “Alright, lay back.” She instructed, putting a hand behind his shoulderblades as he extended his arms backward, leaning on his elbows before reclining into a supine position with a grimace and a wince.

“Thank you.” He murmured before closing his eyes.

“No, none of that, I need you to look at me while I work on you-cha.” Chiaki said, patting the man on the cheek as he shook his head to the side and blinked his way to looking her in the eyes. She wove some hand seals and tethered the man to her. It was going to have to be like this then.

Gritting her teeth she wove some hand seals and stared the man in the eyes as his breathing became shallow and he shuddered from being cold. She knew the signs, acute blood loss. She sighed as she saw the sterilization process begin, it flashed a bright red, and she knew that she wasn’t dealing with a normal wound anymore. Perhaps this was due to a poison?

The wound showing up translucent, she wove more hand seals to perform a healing jutsu. The cuts were rather shallow now that she had a good look at them, which meant that all of these symptoms were to fool her into thinking that it was only blood loss when it was really a poison. Damn shinobi for using poison in their hunting of other shinobi. What a damned dirty trick.

She wove more hand seals so that she was able to close the wound up. The next thing that she would have to do is extract the poison, make an antidote, and administer it to the patient. She concentrated while she slowly moved toward her bag for a phial that she would be extracting the poison into.

The man then lost consciousness.

Shit.

What should she do? His wounds were healing, but she might lose him from the poison.

[OOC: Airon Training Continued]

A sound of a sigh barely caught Airon's attention. Airon was incredibly frustrated. He’s assassinated targets, killed corrupt officials, done shady backroom deals…but this? This was work for a genin. Though it reminded him of his time as a genin in Sunagakure. If you could see under his mask, a small smirk would form. Which grew into a grin, which grew into a chuckle as he listened to the other ninja rant about this job. This other ninja was also growing annoyed with the male in the charge. The other ninja said that normally he respected leaders, but this man didn't know how to hold his tongue. So it's not totally bizarre that Airon was understanding where this man was coming from completely. Odd how a conversation could just spark at random like that. This young shinobi reminded Airon of his little brother, and that opened this hardened shinobi, just a little.

“I know man, you too?” A simple response to get things rolling. Talking would make this mission less boring. “You know, you would think a man in his place would respect shinobi.” He didn't for that to sound like he thought he was far superior then the man. Airon was just trying to explain how a man in this kind of situation would be an asshole to the two who can really speed up the process of saving the dam. Just after speaking the rain picked up. From a nearby location, he could hear the storm growing closer. Not a good sign.

The workers swiftly sped up the pace of their digging as the other shinobi kept the same pace so he wouldn't run out of chakra. Not having already used much chakra to begin with Airon was able to push out more than the other shinobi which made him dig slightly faster. One of them had to pick up the slack. With the approaching storm and the rain already picking up, that douche in charge would surely be yelling a whole lot more.

The black clouds that lingered in the sky had given in to mother nature's request. Thunder sounded like a bass and rain drenched the surrounding area. The river was overtaken by constant ripples that blended together. Soon enough puddles flooded the top of the dam creating a slippery surface. Everyone glanced around with a look of horror as they realized nature was against them. Red alert couldn't even describe the stress and danger level the whole situation had escalated into. Time was narrowing. It was the last inning with bases loaded and two outs while they were trailing by one. Could he emerge a hero, or will he fail and allow thousands to perish? [OOC: Hibana Training Continued]

As the storm picked up, and after taking a small break from the healing Hibana prepared herself for the next part of the healing process. What she now needed to do was speed up the healing process of the wound. Since it skipped many of the major arteries and organs, she wouldn’t need to do anything critical. It would only just be the damaged and punctured tissue. It was a hard process repairing tissue of course. She would have to work overtime to even try to accelerate it. As well she would have to guide the growth to make sure that there wouldn't be any type of deformities that would form in the middle of everything. Sweat began to drip down her brow knowing that this process would be one of the hardest she has done. However, it would not scare her away. standing up from her chair she walked over to the man and began to concentrate. She laid her hands overtop of the wound and began to use her healing hands technique.

This time the chakra would be commanded to act differently from before. Previously the chakra was used to close the wound, but now she had to command the chakra to work with the tissues instead of against it. The chakra began to align itself beside his tissues slowly coating it with its layers. Suddenly the man began to twitch and flex his abdomen in reaction to the short pain that was inflicted. The tension in the muscles began to fight the chakra making the coating slightly weaker. She gestured to one of the ones who brought the ninja in. “Keep him relaxed! The more he fights the procedure the harder it will be to repair the tissues.” The one she spoke to nodded and helped the man’s body began to relax and he began to sit a bit more still. Sweat began to drip down her brow as she had to focus a lot harder for this to work.

Soon the chakra began to line up with the tissues and now Hibana began to change the properties of her chakra. She began to convert her chakra into an enhancement. The tissue would promote rapid growth in his cells and tissues began to form again. If he was to wait for the tissue to grow on his own it would be different but because it was rapid a slight pain would be felt. The man continued to flex slightly and Hibana whispered hoping he would hear. “I'm going to need you to not fight it. Endure the pain okay.” The man's eye opened slightly and nodded his head. Taking a deep breath, he would calm down and the process began to move a lot better.

Hibana could feel the tissues repairing itself slowly. If she had been more skilled at this she could have probably gotten this done quicker but she had to move slower. Hibana was focusing on making sure the tissue regrowth was there as well as the muscle mass in his abdomen. He needed to make sure that the growth was even because it would cause him to have a weakness in that spot. Concentration was what Hibana focused on, making sure she knew the direction of the chakra and where it was headed. She couldn't simply just let the chakra roam free after all. The volatility of chakra was not one to mess with. She began moving her hands slowly so that she could work on the depth. The wound was straight and clean through. Probably impaled by a spear or extremely hard launched kunai that went straight through. Whatever went through this man was clean and was lucky it didn't pass through a major organ.

Soon the wound would begin to close. She could feel the tissue regrowing fast and building up on its own. She had to be careful that the growth was in the correct space and the correct mass. The body would not react well if there was a misdirection or miscalculation when it came to body mass. The tissue began to slowly regrow and soon enough the tissues on an epidermal level began to heal and regenerate as well. The man would suffer from soreness and would need time for his body to physically heal from the strain but the wound had been healed and he would be fine. In a couple of minutes, the procedure would be done and the man's pain would be gone. Hibana wiped the sweat off her brow. Her work wasn't done of course. Not just yet. She turned to look at Chiaki, wondering if she needed assistance.

Just as the man lost consciousness Chiaki locked eyes with Hibana and she motioned with her chin to come to her, not wanting to shout or raise the other shinobi’s suspicions that anything was going on out of the ordinary. She was sweating from the exertion of using her healing jutsu, and she was breathing heavily. Trying to keep her hands from shaking. The red pouring out of her and into the man’s wounds as they closed themselves was different than the hover-hand technique and could be used at a range and in battle, but she knew that it needed concentration and she didn’t know what to do to slow the poison. Perhaps the other kunoichi could do something.

“Hey, Hibana-san was it-cha?” Chiaki gave a shaky smile that almost turned out like a grimace because of the strain, “Do you mind, too terribly much, giving me a hand with this patient-cha?”

She held her hands in the seal and pointed with an elbow at his shallow breathing and loss of consciousness, also at the white clammy skin, perspiration, and the color of his lips. “I think he’s been poisoned-cha.” She muttered to Hibana as she got close enough to hear without the shinobi’s comrades overhearing the situation. “Was yours poisoned at all? It isn’t bloodloss, as he hasn’t lost that much blood, nor is it any sort of foreign matter in his blood as I’ve sterilized him before working on closing the wounds. I am stuck though, healing him so if you know a way to get the poison out that would help immensely, and if not, could you take over healing his wounds while I extract the poison-cha?”

Well, dam!

*Doton • Wall
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a solid stone wall up to 5 meters away from them at [Control] speed. The wall has [Control] strength and is 3x3x1 meters large.
A single idea sparked into his mind, something he hadn't tried since his academy days, and he wasn't sure exactly on how it would pan out. Surely though it was worth a shot. The ex-sunagakure shinobi rapidly put together a string of handseals and released chakra into the ground right in front of the dam. A three by three wall formed. The roaring water had broken through dam, the way in which he placed the wall however would redirect the water slowly to the plains on either side of the dam and the way he built it, it would be slowly funneled through as opposed to rushing straight through into all the workers and eventually the village. "That should buy us a minute or two." Airon directed his statement towards the other shinobi.

"Why didn't you do that sooner!"

Nearly everyone seemed rather annoyed at the fact that Airon waited till the last minute to redirect the water. Their annoyance didn't bother Airon at all. he knew tension was high. The Jashinist was just glad he could do something to really help for once that didn’t involve killing, though he did miss the excitement from it all. Now all he had to do was figure out a way to keep the river at bay. That task was far from small.

The other shinobi was the only one that spoke to the Airon. He could, if need be, simply hold off the water until all preparations were done! As the water was cleared of the work area, all the workers and the shinobi would begin to work on their trenches again. The shinobi, this time, putting all his effort into it. Large chunks of rock would separate itself from the ground as the earth moved away. This shinobi's favorite element was earth and this was what he was best at.

Out of thin air the man in charge appeared. Airon was to believe that this man was a ninja on the low. No one else seemed to be shocked by his appearance, and Airon was starting to understand why. Just like all their previous conversations he ordered Airon to continue the use of his Chakra. Hopefully the idea that clicked into his mind would work. Handseal after handseal followed as he ran with his idea. Seconds ticked away as he continued adding to the wall, pulling earth from the ground and reinforcing the wall he created as the water thrashed into the wall. It may not have covered the entire length of the river, but the part it did cover water flow would certainly not be much of an issue. Sure, it was the same amount of help as his previous technique, but it was getting the job done for what little it did. He was more of a taijutsu specialist after all. The wall constantly fought the water flow and halted it's progress towards the dam. After a while more success would soon follow as the trenches were widened and the water was no longer an issue. The old man would magically appear again behind the two shinobi.

"Hahaha That's how it's done you too! About time you took care of that problem. Thanks to all the work done by everyone, the village is safe yet again!"

The first that the male said was only to the two shinobi, but for the last bit, the old man would form some seals and his voice would echo throughout the whole village. Airon & the shinobi looked at the man with a flabbergasted look. "What...you didn't think you were only one with CHA-KEE-RAH did you?" He winked at the two. Cheers could be heard from all corners as they were all happy that they were once again safe from any troubles that could come. Airon sighed after this entire ordeal and shook the hands of the young genin who was there with him, and said his goodbyes to the foreman. After surveying the area for the last time, he walked over to Hibana to see what she was up to. [Learned: 678/400]

Meanwhile as Hibana turned her attention to Chiaki, the cloud kunoichi would ask if her patients were poisoned. "No, my patients haven't been poisoned, yours was?" She walked over with a perplexed look. She examined the chuunin, looking over his labored breathing and his skin color change and quickly came to the same conclusion. "Okay, I can get the poison out.” Though she was trained to deal with poison, it wasn’t something she regularly had to do, poison was never a life-threatening issue for her partner Airon as he couldn’t die. And if it impeded him in anyway, he would usually kill his opponent before that became an issue.
She whispered to Chiaki. "Okay, I will start the poison extraction now. Hold his shoulders down. This could hurt a bit." warned Hibana. She raised her voice so the patient could hear her. "We are going to extract the remains of the poison. This might hurt. Take a deep breath" said Hibana. The patient did as he was told while the duo prepared the next step.

Hibana glanced in Airon’s direction. He was busy exchanging what seemed to be goodbyes to the people near the dam. ‘Good, they saved the day over there.’ She smiled as she thought to herself, ‘he could be a good guy when he wanted to…’

"Take a deep breath now. It’ll be over any moment" assured the ice using medic. She carefully focused on his chest to observe his breathing as she continued to work. The patient took a deep breath while he tried not to move. "There is not much left now" said Hibana. "How are you feeling sir?" inquired the girl. "It's easier for me to breathe. I'm still feeling sick though. You better have a bucket ready" warned the chuunin. There was a wry smile on his face. She shot back her own smile as she turned to Chiaki, "he should be good to finish up your healing." Hibana turned to look around and realized they had treated the majority if not all the patients. It seems like her and Airon’s work was just about done now.

*[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 5 Iijutsu
Perhaps one of the most important Iijutsu techniques to date, the *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] allows its users to probe another's body in search for medical answers. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. Using this chakra as an internal extension of his/her hand to feel for abnormalities and other issues, the user is often able to determine the problem after some time and concentration. In order for a thorough examination to provide sufficient answers, the user will focus for up to one (1) post, seeking signs of internal and external damage, organ malfunction and disease among other ailments. Although skilled medical-nin have the possibility to work faster, skill cannot be substituted in for thoroughness.

*[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
A useful, but particularly taxing technique, the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique] is performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on C-Rank or lower poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison.

Well, dam!

Chiaki looked between the two people, and held down the man as the poison extraction jutsu was used. She was almost completely spent, sweat dripping down her in rivulets and her body ached from using too much chakra. She had about enough for the man with the broken ribs and that was about it.

Chiaki’s attention was drawn to Airon as Hibana looked at him. Seeming to be smiling fondly to either him or herself, a hint of a smile pulled at the side of Chiaki’s lips. She pulled herself together and the wounds closed up with the faint red chakra until they were gone as if they hadn’t happened at all. as she went to the third and final patient, the one with the broken ribs, she waved at Airon who had finished up with his things.

“You said that you had broken ribs-cha?” She knelt down and the world span for a couple seconds before she righted herself and nodded at his affirmative answer. “Right then, let’s get to work.” She pulled herself together and wove the necessary hand seals before she placed her hands over the wound. It bubbled with chakra until she squinted her eyes shut and then the chakra made its way into the hairline fractures. She had enough control to know that this was the last jutsu that she was going to be able to use, and that she would have to rest for at least a day afterwards when she was done with this one. She knew, also, that she would need to start training some sort of jutsu to use the nutrients around her rather than her patients’ own nutrients.

This was a dangerous technique if the patient was already weak and would die from the regeneration of the technique. She had seen it put people into shock. Luckily for her though, he was right as rain, aside from the pain that he felt when breathing, so the procedure went as planned, and the bone mended itself. It was strange to Chiaki, how she could feel the mending taking place. Perhaps it was her affinity to the Kyoukan’s tethering technique, or her own dedication to the Iijutsu discipline.

Standing up, she smiled at Hibana and leaned on her staff with her left arm, pressing it against her shoulder and using it as a make-shift lean assist. “Thank you very much for your help-cha.” She started and then looked from Hibana to Airon and bowed her head, “I don’t think that this mission would have been a success without either of you here, or rather, without both of you here. Please let me reintroduce myself, I am Kyoukan Chiaki of the Kyoukan clan. It was a pleasure to partake in this mission with the both of you, and I would love to welcome you back to the temple for some supper, a bath and soaking in our Onsen and perhaps a room for the night to sleep off your weariness-cha.”

Should they accept, she would lead them back to the temple where she was currently staying, not too far from the dam, and should they not, she would have to make her way back there regardless, as she was entirely spent from the days’ work.

Well, dam!

Airon joined Hibana as Chiaki formally introduced herself. She thanked them for being there and they responded in kind. Airon didn't know much about Kumogakure shinobi so the Kyoukan clan didn't really mean much. But he was grateful that Hibana had some assistance while she was working on helping the others out. After this she offered a place to sleep for the night and food to eat. Airon was starving, he hadn't eaten in days. While he didn't love that he was going to have to be social, he was grateful for the place to sleep. Not many in Kumogakure would know that Hibana & Airon were on the run, nevertheless you couldn't be too careful. This woman seemed friendly enough so they would take her up on that offer and head back to her temple for a good nights rest.
