(Words of training: 1277/1000)

Come here, Katsuo, sit with me for a moment until I can regain my energy and we can begin your training. I'll keep my sword ignited so it can keep us warm until we begin your training.

Katsuo nodded, sitting down beside Genkaku. The sword was warm, and Katsuo closed his eyes as heat slowly began to return to his body. He could feel the gooseflesh that rose on his skin now, as feeling slowly came back to Katsuo as well. After training this like for as long as he had, Katsuo didn't really notice the nip of the cold anymore, the thinness of the air, the burn of his muscles -- not until he'd decided to relax, anyway.

Katsuo understood the need to relax, to calm down, but he was growing impatient. Katsuo wanted to start his genjutsu training! Kumo's Bleeding Heart was excited, finally, to start. He knew Genkaku still had time left to rest, however: Katsuo had given him an hour before they decided if they would go or continue. Truly, Katsuo hoped for the former: He wanted a chance to improve his skills in genjutsu straight away!

Katsuo was quiet for a short moment, but eventually, his impatience got the best of him. "So, Genkaku, do you think we'll be able to go on? And start with my Genjutsu training, that is." Katsuo didn't want to strain Genkaku too much, but.. well, Katsuo was more than a little eager to start.

"So, Genkaku, do you think we'll be able to go on? And start with my Genjutsu training, that is." Genkaku had watched for a moment as his teammate sat next to him getting warm from the sword's heat. Genkaku made the sword slightly less hot and then started making hand seals. Just in case Katsuo expected anything Genkaku explained, "Sorry, the flame started to go out a bit, so I was just reinforcing it."

Little did Katsuo know, but not only did Genkaku re-heat the sword, but he also activated a Genjutsu on his friend. The best way to train against Genjutsu is to not even know you're in the middle of training for it, otherwise, you could eventually figure it out knowing that someone has told you they plan on putting you in one soon. This was a relatively weak Genjutsu, so Genkaku knew it wouldn't damage Katsuo too much, and well it would be good training for him. Genkaku smiled and then finally decided to reply what the man had said about starting with his Genjutsu training. "Well, I think I might need some more rest, please forgive me." To Katsuo that apology sounded like a sorry for not starting your training now, but in reality it was a sorry for lying to you mate.

Katsuo's training had begun!

Danbouken (Heating Sword)
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The Heating Sword Ninjutsu was created by Genkaku Hanappari, and it allows him to run Katon chakra through his sword (or other blades, like kunai’s etc) to make them warm up to extreme temperatures or even catch on fire. The object heats up to extreme temperatures or becomes engulfed in flames, which can either cause burns on the person it touches, or it can be used to activate some of Genkaku's Genjutsu.

Dehydration
C-Ranked Genjutsu
Genkaku makes the needed hand signs to start this Genjutsu, then he must cause the opponents body to “heat up” in order for it to activate. He can do any little thing to warm the opponents body up to activate it, whether it be a fire Ninjutsu that he shoots at the enemy even if it misses if it comes close enough it can activate the Genjutsu. Or he can even use his Heating Sword Jutsu to warm his sword up then slash at the enemy, and even a slash that comes near the opponent not even hitting them can activate this Genjutsu. The person caught in this Genjutsu begins to feel dehydrated, until they feel that they are becoming EXTREMELY dehydrated. The effects last for 3 posts, getting worse each post.

Post 1. The enemy thirsts for water.
Post 2. The enemy feels as if their body is shriveling up from lack of water.
Post 3. The enemy's body feels as if it's at the peek of dehydration, their throat becomes hoarse, and their sight becomes dizzy.

Genkaku said he would need a rest, and Katsuo lamented: He wanted to start his genjutsu training now! Well, Genkaku needed rest, and he would have it, and so Katsuo would wait for his friend to be fit. He was about to speak, but a sudden dryness in his throat overtook him, and Katsuo found himself looking about him for a clean patch of snow. "That's fine," he said, sounding a bit hoarse to himself, "You take all the tiem yo uneed." Katsuo decided on a bit of virgin white snow from beside him, and partook in some, relishing the feeling of hydration to his sore, dry throat. "Don't midn me, Genkaku," Katsuo said, taking another scoop of snow to swallow, "Just good to stay hydrated during training, of course!"

A third scoop, and a fourth, and Katsuo's fingertips were beginning to dislike him quite a lot for their exposure to the cold. Why couldn't he stay hydrated? Normally half this much would be enough after even a hard day's physical training. Katsuo hadn't really done much himself, and yet...

"Genkaku, does it feel oddly dry up here?" The air was always relatively dry where they were, just for it's thinness, but now... perhaps too much so?

Genkaku watched Katsuo and almost felt sorry for him, but he knew it was for his best. Too make Katsuo not look quiet so foolish Genkaku reached for some pure white snow near himself and put a little handful into his mouth letting it melt away. As the snow, now water, trickled down his throat, Genkaku felt slightly relieved, it was in-fact a bit dry up there, even with all the snow's moisture, it was still slightly dry.

That's when Katsuo asked Genkaku if he felt that it was oddly dry up on the mountain. The normal answer would have been no, not anymore dry then it was on any other mountain, but Genkaku had to play his hand, and keep on bluffing to Katsuo making the Genjutsu appear even more and more real. For if Katsuo couldn't even get out of a simple C-Rank Genjutsu what chance did he have against the big dogs? And so Genkaku replied, Ah, well yes I believe it is, I'm feeling extra thirsty, and not only that, but my throat it's beginning to feel dry!

The more snow Katsuo took in, the thirstier he got... Every bit of liquid that soothed the dryness inside of him was doing nothing more than making him thirstier! Katsuo swallowed more snow, now before it even had a chance to turn to liquid in his mouth, and even as his fingers stung and throbbed and let themselves turn an angry, chilled white with the cold, Katsuo shoveled them down in for another drink.

"This is so odd for me... The more I drink, the thirstier I seem to get... You'd think I've been dehydrated for days, as thirsty as I am... it's like.. it's like my whole body's shrinking down for lack of water." Katsuo took in another shovel of snow, and his stomache began to hurt with how much he had taken in -- and yet still, he was thirsty his throat burned and scratched with a raw dryness.

I don't really get this myself... It's like something's telling my body to be this thirsty... Like I don't even have control. Like, like something in my brain is-- Wait! "Genkaku...." Katsuo was smiling, though his voice was hoarse. His hands came together, and the man closed his eyes, focusing as best as he could. He hadn't ever really had to break many genjutsu, and wasn't sure if breaking even this would be possible for him. Still, Katsuo tried. "Release!" With a shout, his attempt to dispel began.

Genkaku smiled as Katsuo said release, he freed himself from the Genjutsu he would be relieved of all his dry thoughts, and he would no longer feel as if he had a parched throat.

Haha, great job Katsuo, you saw through that one relatively easily, congratulations!

Quickly jumping up from his spot, Genkaku backed up about 10 feet away from Katsuo and began making hand signs. He then did a X slash with his sword. While Katsuo was distracted by the fake fire dragon, if he had seen the X Slash, Genkaku began making more hand signs, first activating his Genjutsu where if he burned the enemy it would activate, and then slashing the air again, as he did before with an X shape. Another giant fire dragon came from the X slash area, but this one was real, and if was aimed slightly to the right of Katsuo, and Genkaku hoped it wouldn't hit him too much, that's why he aimed for his right side, hoping to slightly burn an arm or leg, anything to activate his Genjutsu. Genkaku's plan was to make Katsuo believe after the first fake dragon, he wouldn't worry about dodging the second thinking it was a fake, someone with such a low Genjutsu could possibly fall for it, but at the same time Katsuo wasn't an idiot so he might figure he should dodge anyways, but maybe a cocky side would jump out of Katsuo and he would think he had figured out Genkaku's Genjutsu and fighting style.

Only time would tell the question was whether or not he would be able to figure out to dodge or not to dodge.

Ryuukingu X no Giri Katon(Dragonking X Slash Fire)
C-Ranked Genjutsu
Prerequisite: Must have his sword on fire.
Genkaku first runs some Katon chakra through his sword, and then he makes the correct hand signs. While the sword is on fire he slashes the air making an X shape, if the enemy sees the slashing X shape the Genjutsu is activated. A fire dragon then seems to appear from the slashed area, and flies right at the opponent. This causes a heat flash on the opponent. The heat flash is just a mild heat flash that lasts for 1 post. The enemy thinks they're really hot for the next post.

Hiashi no Jutsu (Spreading of a Fire)
C-Ranked Genjutsu
Genkaku does the needed hand signs then burns the opponent in order to activate this Genjutsu. The opponent, once burned, thinks their entire body is on fire, and they both see and feel the pain. While in reality they are simply burned in a single place. This Genjutsu lasts for 2 posts.

Genkaku first runs some Katon chakra through his sword, and then he makes the correct hand signs. While the sword is on fire he slashes the air making an X shape. A fire dragon then seems to appear from the slashed area, and flies right at the opponent, just like in his Genjutsu. The difference is this dragon is real and it actually hits the opponent causing severe burns and lots of pain. You know what makes great genjutsu training? Let's set this bitch on FIRE! D=

Katsuo had only a moment to smile at Genkaku's praise before the man jumped back. Katsuo stood quickly too, feeling the liquid he had over-indulged in weighing him down and making his stomache uncomfortable. Seals were made and an "x" shape was drawn, and Katsuo reflexively dodged to the left when he saw the first dragon coming towards him. The dragon did not land a direct hit, but the proximity was very close and rhe resultign heat intense. Katsuo knew the "enemy" was casting illusions, but when a dragon made of fire is flying you're way, the first reaction generally is to get out of it's path, rather than close your eyes and put your --

"AAh!" Katsuo let out a loud yelp of pain as flames caught on his arm, spreadign quickly throughout his entire body. The second dragon to his right hadn't hit him directly, but between the two flying past and scalding him with their heat. Genkaku's illusion was usable -- and used it was. With great efficiency.

Katsuo was rolling on the ground, hoping the moisture of the snow and his rolling would put out the flames, but they just wouldn't go. As clearly as he could, through all the pain, Katsuo tried to think. Urgh... so bad... this... this is tremendous... I know it's... agh...rr... But... How can I? Katsuo's hands came together, and Katsuo tried to focus what chakra he could. "A-...argh.... RELEASE!" Katsuo was in too much pain to focus his chakra right, the flame continued, and with it the pain.

Katsuo reached out, grabbing a nearby weapon. Has... to s-stop... urgh... And fiercely, the katana he had grabbed nearby by the very top of the hilt, and, with all the force and control he could muster, the butt of the sword rammed itself onto Katsuo's funny bone -- an intense amount of pain for minimal damage at the worst.

As a tingling sort of agony rose up and down his arm, the flanes -- however slowly -- dissipated, and Katsuo felt the world returning to him. Panting from the trauma, the pain, the tingle, Katsuo looked up at Genkaku, now on all fours. "That... that was incredible, genkaku... How... did... you... Ugh." Katsuo let himself fall side watys, but stood up quickly -- he had been beatenbadly by this illusion, but that did not mean he had been defeated.

"I'm not done yet, Genkaku. I can take more. Give me as much practice as you can stand, my friend." Katsuo put his hands together, sealing tiger and preparing his release preemptively. He took a deep breath, awaiting whatever Genkaku had in mind.

OOC: Sorry it took so long, I was on departure, had to go to a wedding in Tennessee.

IC: Genkaku was proud that his ally was as eager if not more, to continue then he had been during his training so he quickly began making hand signs. Once he was done with the hand signs he began running forward and he snapped his fingers. Whether Katsuo heard or saw the snapping of the fingers, the Genjutsu would be activated. Continuing to run forward Genkaku went up to the fake waterfall which fell down from the sky, right in-front of Katsuo. As the waterfall came down to distract Katsuo, Genkaku jumped through the air, hidden by the illusion of a waterfall, Genkaku went through it kicking Katsuo in the face.

Katsuo would only see a waterfall and most likely not catch sight of Genkaku flying through the air with a foot extended out ready to hit someone in the face.

How much more of a beating would you like to take before we stop your training, Katsuo? Genkaku asked his ally.

The snap of a finger was heard, and All at once, a great torrent fell in front of the jounin. Kumo's Bleeding Heart jumped back, watching as the cascade poured down out of nowhere. What on earth!? Such a larger than life effect... He's using it as a distraction! It wasn't difficult for Katsuo piece those things together, at least, and again, his hands came together and he shouted. "Release!" The waterfall shimmered away, and Katsuo looked only just in time to see Genkaku flying towards him. With a raised arm, Katsuo tried to block the kick, sliding his body to the side and attempt to catch hold of the fabric of his pants, pulling him close before planting an light elbow into his stomach and dropping him into the snow -- if he was able to catch it in time, that is. He should have been able to: Katsuo was a taijutsu specialist, after all.

"Heh, I'd say I can handle a bit more." It would be with a smile that Katsuo offered a hand to help his training partner up. "By all means, Genkaku, show me more." Kumo's Bleeding Heart was beginning to recognize a pattern here. All of his genjutsu look like they could be real techniques. He hides his illusions in a perception of things a ninja could really use... Making it difficult for the enemy to tell the difference between true jutsu and illusions... a foolish enemy will even take the brunt of an attack, taking it as an illusion -- but not taking attacks that will keep them away from Genkaku, and put them in his most comfortable fighting range. This fighting style... it's quite formidable.

Genkaku quickly made hand-signs and looked Katsuo dead in the eyes, waiting for him to make eye contact with him. Then he continued to make hand signs to activate a second Genjutsu. If these Genjutsu worked accordingly then Katsuo would soon start jumping all over the place, and not only that, but his eye-sight would also start going crazy, making it extremely hard to avoid attacks.

Genkaku then rushed his friend, a kunai in hand, he ran at his ally and began slashing with the kunai everytime Katsuo would jump, so long as he had been caught in the Genjutsu this happened. Not wanting to stab him on accident, Genkaku slashed only making minor cuts, but enough to prove the point that Katsuo could be vulnerable in his own best skill, Taijutsu. If the opponent was to use things such as Genjutsu on him.

Katsuo watched carefully as Genkaku sealed, watching his whole body. Alright... He struck with fire and water... he hides his genjutsu, making them look like ninjutsu. So... what is -- Ah! Katsuo jumped as Thunder crashed in his ears. He looked below him at the clouds that surrounded a lower portion of the mountain. They didn't look angry. Katsuo's vision blurred, the world turning static as all he could make out were faint blurs and slurs of color. The color which had been Genkaku seemed to come towards him, and it was all Katsuo could do to stay away from him, not wanting to risk blocks when he could hardly see.

Jumping and starting in fright, Katsuo was having trouble maintaining his defense, and it wasn't long at all before Genkaku's knives sliced their way through him. Tiny bits of blood began to seep out, dripping slowly down his arms and sides. The pain wasn't even enough to break the genjutsu. Katsuo would have cursed aloud, if he weren't so busy trying to defend himself.

Katsuo had to focus on the run. While defending himself, evading enemy shots, he had to focus and control his chakra well enough to break the enemy's genjutsu. Two times, three times, his hands came together, he closed his eyes for but a moment, jumping with every raucous roar of thunder from above, and two times, three times, it failed. Genkaku kept coming at him, and Katsuo kept dodging, blocking, evading as he could, but to little avail.

Finally, after long minutes of fighting -- after Katsuo had actually gotten somewhat used to fighting with his senses shut down, Kumo's Bleeding Heart was at long last able to release the genjutsu,. One Kai and the world returned to normal, and Katsuo was able to catch Genkaku's next attack, attempting to turn the hand outwards and force the knife to be released, before throwing him. Genkaku, if the throw was successful would land in such a way that he would have landed on his own kunai -- if Katsuo hadn't caught him in time.

The jounin panted -- the illusions had taken a great toll on him. But Katsuo had been put under many genjutsu today, and looking back on all he could experience, he was able to look at them all and consider how it worked. He could feel himself getting stronger.

Today had been a productive day.

Today had indeed been a productive day, both Genkaku and Katsuo had both trained extremely well. So Genkaku had an extremely bright idea, or at least so he thought. Hey Katsuo, how about tomorrow or some day sometime soon, you and I train where we use the new skills we've learned to become even better then we have today! We can use our regular skills of Genjutsu for myself, and Taijutsu for yourself, but lets do our best to try and use a bit of what the other person is good at as well. Then we can get so much training out of the way in simply two days!

Catching his breath, as Genkaku spoke, Katsuo nodded eagerly and bled. "Yeah," Katsuo said, considering. "I don't know any genjutsu myself, but... I wouldn't mind a spar with you, Genkaku. Sounds like fun." Katsuo smiled widely, anticipatign the day ahead.

"So, how about you and me get back home now, hm? I think it would be forgiveable to use our wall walking jutsu this time."
