A large man with a bowl of soup sat impatiently on a chair. It was midday, the sun was high in the sky with a bit of cloud cover. There was a bit of a breeze, which took away from the slight heat of the day. Up in the mountain it was nicely lukewarm with a slight breeze. Perfect weather for walking down a mountain path. The path to the store was right in front of the wagon, along with the man that was with it. There he waited, as stated before, with a large bowl of soup, eating the food with a big spoon. He was just on a wooden chair right next to his wooden wagon.
The man wore a large, and heavily stained, robe that reached his feet. It was supposed to be white, but had a large amount of seeped in stains. He wore large sandals which made him go from 5'1" to 5'3". The man was grumpily waiting for the two ninja to arrive, wanting to get to his store and back as fast as possible.
All else of the village was bustling. The path was outside the village, even though it branched of the main path. The wagon was at the start of the path in clear view. Now he just waited for the two ninja to arrive and help him down the path.

Hogo Okamoto, plain and simply, was excited. This was his first mission in several years since he had taken a belated break to improve what had previously been minute skills. So, this was something to be truly excited about, at least for Hogo, maybe not for someone else in his position. But this was something he had to take seriously, if he ever wanted his dream to become Raikage to come true, believe it!1
Double checking his small pack, Hogo secured it onto his back, and left his house, with a simple wave of his hand to his once again arguing brothers. Surprisingly, they had actually stopped yelling for a moment to wave goodbye as well, but kept at it as soon as he shut the door. With a small smile on his face, he left his house, and walked to where he had been assigned to go. It hadn't taken him longer than ten minutes to walk there at a leisurely pace. When he got there, he was confronted with the man he was assigned to escort, who, quite simply, was disgusting. Pushing that thought past him, Hogo smiled warmly and said "Hello sir, my name is Hogo... I believe we are waiting for one more before we can leave..."

Mission: Lions, Lions, and More Lions
Genkaku awoke pretty late that day, and quickly prepared him some breakfast. He quickly ate before leaving his home. Running to the location that he had been told to meet the man he would be escorting, and the Genin that would be helping him. This mission was only a C-Rank Mission, so it should be simple for Genkaku, but he'd have to help watch over the Genin. That was, after all, the reason why he had been sent in the first place.
Once Genkaku reached the location that he had been told to go to, he saw both the man they were supposed to be escorting, and the young Genin. The Genin's back was to Genkaku when Genkaku walked up, and the young Genin's name was Hogo, Genkaku had overheard as he walked up. What, waiting? For me, ha I think not, I'm here of course. Genkaku said a bit sarcastically, he knew he was late so he just did his best to cover that little incident up. Also walking up to the man, Genkaku introduced himself first to the man, then to Hogo, I am Genkaku Hanappari, it is nice to meet you both. Young Hogo and myself will be your escorts, and we promise to get you and all your belongings back to your store all in one piece.

The fat man that was going to be escorted by the ninja was soon trying to finish his bowl of soup. He completely ignored the two ninjas, until they were both done. Then, after a minute or two, he finished the bowl. He wiped his hands on his robe, and put the bowl down...Then he picked it back up. After licking the whole inside of the bowl, he was soon done and put it down. He let out a large belch. Afterwards he wiped his face on the top of his robe and turned to the two waiting ninja. He still had soup stains on his face.
"Well you better get them to the store in one piece!" He quickly snapped at them. His voice was annoyed. "I'm not paying for you guys to just stand and let my stuff get destroyed!" He quickly looked on the inside of his wagon, then jumped onto the front. He moved his head to look at them, and yelled, even though they were near, "You two plan on how your gonna get me there safely! Once your done just say so and we'll be off." The mule that was supposed to be driving the wagon was sleeping on the ground. It would be a long day ahead.

The man was... disgusting. Honestly, well and truly, disgusting. While Hogo wasn't typically one to judge, or even think that sort of thing about a person... well, this man actually made him want to throw up. It was because of this that he was actually stunned for a moment before he turned to the newly arrived Jounin at the scene. He held back a bit of bile that rested in the back of his throat, as he smiled broadly at the man, before sticking his hand out to shake. He didn't have much to say, so he settled for a simple 'hello, how are you, great to be working with you' type of greeting.
"It's so sad!" the reader said to the writer with a frown. "The character in my book just died!" The author turned to her and burst out into tears, "I know!" he said, "So did mine!"

Mission: Lions, Lions, and More Lions
Genkaku was used to this kind of behavior from people outside of the village, who requested help from the villages Shinobi, so he didn't think much of it. Yes, the man was obviously a rude and very disturbed man, but there was nothing Genkaku could say, well almost nothing, that would change his behavior.
Genkaku simply ignored the man and talked to his young ally, obviously Genkaku would have to be the one that came up with the plan, being the oldest and highest ranking shinobi of the two. Genkaku thought it up quickly, having traveled down these paths before he knew what was ahead. There will be lions on the paths ahead, if you didn't already know that. The hardest part will be defeating the lions, without actually hurting them. I have been informed that this man loves animals, probably more then he loves even humans. So he values their lives, and it would help us to gain more of his respect, to not hurt them, or at least not hurt them that much. So damage to lions as small as possible, Hogo. Also, I believe our best strategy in formation would be if you sat upon the wagon with the man, if he so lets you, if not then go to the back right of the wagon, and follow walking beside it there. If he allows you to sit with him, I will walk along the left side beside the middle of the wagon, if he doesn't I will walk alongside the mule pulling the wagon on the left side. That away we can cover most of the blind spots, while always having someone near the front, in-case a head on attack. But remember, try your best Hogo, to not hurt the lions, meaning Genjutsu if you have any is preferred. If not, then just do your thing and stay alive, and keep the man alive, and all his belongings intact.

Mission: Lions, Lions, and More Lions
Hogo sighed, his mind wandering from place to place, as he began to enter his own little world. He thought of his family, of his techniques, of his friends, and his supposed niece, all these things flooding through his mind. He thought about the strange woman who had begun to teach him the furtherings of the element of earth. But suddenly, all this was interrupted, by a somewhat sickening 'gnash gnash' came from not too far away. He looked up, to see a lion, munching on an animal that had met it's better upon the food chain, seconds before death.
And because of this, everything that would have normally been very quiet, seemed to get very loud. The slight 'crunch' of his feet as they made contact with the dirt road, the minute 'clink clinkity clink clink' as the glass bottles brushed past eachother. And a lone bug, somewhere seemingly not too far away, sounded as though it's chirps could shatter windows. But this was all in Hogo's head of course, none of this was loud at all, but with the deathly silence otherwise, it seemed to be so.
Because of this, Hogo pulled his knife out of his small pack, and took softer steps, prepared for anything that he hoped wouldn't happen.

Following alongside the mule in the front of the wagon, Genkaku observed his surroundings, not letting a thing go unnoticed. When they began to enter into the area that was also the home of many mountain lions, Genkaku noticed that the wagon driver had fallen asleep. For now Genkaku would let him sleep, but once the time came he'd awake him.
After walking a bit longer Genkaku saw a lion atop a mountain, it wasn't paying attention to the people below. No it was in-fact enjoying it's meal, of a dead animal of some kind. Genkaku let the mule continue to walk, it was pretty quiet so it probably wouldn't startle the lion, however the snoring of the man, though not that loud, it was still an annoying noise, that the mountain lion would probably investigate if it so heard the noise. Going up to the man Genkaku put his hand over the man's mouth with one hand and put a finger up to his own mouth with his other hand, showing the man to be quiet.
If the man didn't rip out of Genkaku's hand grab, and didn't yelp aloud, then Genkaku would then show the man using his finger the lion. Pointing at the lion, Genkaku signaled for the man to be quiet but to continue on down the path like normal. Genkaku followed along the wagon, hoping nothing made too much noise, he wanted to fight as little of the mountain lions as he could.

The jounin made all the right moves, but the genin made one little mistake. The mountain lion soon looked up to see the caravan, but didn't really care much about them. He had his meal. So he stayed laying down watching. Then, as they started to approach, the lion soon saw there was a weapon in his hand. He had dealt with these kinds of people before. The lion slowly got itself up, glaring at them with tempting eyes. But he didn't attack. The wagon goers had not made much noise, and did not attack. So the mountain lion figured that they wouldn't do much.
The jounin in charge also made the right move of putting his hand over the fat mans mouth. A bit of blood dribbled from the mountain lions jaw and splashed onto the jounins hand. Luckily, the fat man did not wake up and didn't have blood in his open mouth. Good save. The mountain lion soon returned to his feast content. They wouldn't have to deal with that one...

Hogo tensed again, after having just barely relaxed after they passed the last lion, who eyed them oddly until they went around the corner. Hogo had already put his knife away, so he reached back into his pack, pulling out a kunai instead. This one was hungry, and headed right for them, so Hogo saw no alternative than to kill the beast. It was sad, but he had to do it if he ever wanted the strength to avenge his brother and cut his own wrists!1
He had prepared this specific kunai before he left home, having attached an explosive tag around it's handle. With a flick of his wrist, he sent the bladed object flying, whereupon it would land in front of the tiger, before Hogo would make his hand sign and detonate it.

OOC: Sorry it took so long, I was wanting to talk to King before my post, but since I haven't seen him, I'll just go on and post so I don't time out.
IC: Genkaku watched as his Genin companion attacked the mountain lion with an accurately thrown kunai, with what appeared to be an exploding note on it. Even though Genkaku had said not to attack the animal, he didn't really mind this kind, because from the look of the lion it was going to attack no matter what the men did. And well maybe, just maybe the explosion would knock the lion out for a bit, and not do any real damage to him (
), but only time would tell, so Genkaku withdrew a kunai of his own from his weapons pouch, getting ready just in case the lion was able to continue his charge...

The starving lion immediately rushed at the group, since they brought out weapons, which looked like food to him. He charged while roaring, swallowing the explosive kunai as he yelled out. Since the boy detonated it, the mountain lion exploded into bits and pieces. It never stood a chance. Now that the beast was dead, they could move on...to fight more lions.
The explosion of the kunai woke up other lions in the area, and the meat scattered about was a free meal. So about three lions all jumped down onto the path, two in front of the wagon and one in back. They all saw the humans are were pissed. Nobody treads on lion turf. So they all slowly started to approach. Each was about a good 10 feet away from the wagon. Any sort of fear or reaction would make them pounce. These lions were not weak, actually quite healthy. But they were only young lions, and still weren't full grown beasts.

IC: Quickly reacting to the situation Genkaku grabbed 4 shuriken from his weapons pouch and threw two at each of the front lions. He aimed for their heads wanting to end this quickly, these beasts would kill if they had the chance, so Genkaku had to do the same. Then with the kunai he already had drawn Genkaku threw it at the lion at the back of the wagon. The lions who were stalking the wagon were not stupid enough to walk right into the weapons, except for the one in back. He started to charge and the kunai pierced through his head. It died on contact and fell down. The lion barely missed the cart, and things were safe. The man was still asleep, and was in deep sleep as well. Now, there was the case of the two in front.
The shuriken were easy to dodge, so they sidestepped with their size. A shuriken grazed the right one, and gave it a small little cut. But that wouldn't stop it. Their prey attacked, and now they were pissed. Both lions charged, aiming for the ninja. The fat man would be desert, and now the ninja was the entrée. The lions were not that smart, and charged side by side after the ninja. They were going at the speed of an average chunin, and weren't going to stop if just hurt. Hardcore damage would have to be put in place to take down these monsters.

Once the hand signs where completed the lions were close in on Genkaku they unlike humans wouldn't know to watch out for these hand signs. Genkaku makes the correct hand signs then puts his hand up to his mouth and shoots out a long breathe of fire, about 20 feet, come out of his mouth. The same way a dragon would shoot fire at a person with a long jet of fire, is how this would look coming out of his mouth.

The lions charged without a doubt, just aiming for the ninja. Soon however, the jet of fire came blasting down. The lion with the cut on its side writhed in pain and collapsed forward. This tripped up the other lion, which made it get side owned by the fire. Both lions fell with a bang, killing each of them. The sword would not be needed. Now, there was another problem. The fire caused a large fire to erupt from both of them, making a large stack of fire in the middle of the road. There wasn't a way around it that wouldn't set the wagon on fire.
The fat man was still sleeping, and wouldn't wake up soon. He kept sleeping happily, while the ninja had to get rid of this fire. If the smoke kept up for too long, then other lions would see this. Then the ninja would have more problems. Firefighter ninja was the job now.
The fat man was still sleeping, and wouldn't wake up soon. He kept sleeping happily, while the ninja had to get rid of this fire. If the smoke kept up for too long, then other lions would see this. Then the ninja would have more problems. Firefighter ninja was the job now.

Genkaku quickly began to make hand signs, before forming a ball of water in his hand. He through the ball right over the lion's carcasses and ran towards the wagon. Pushing the mule forward he pushed it onward wanting it to move at a decently fast pace. Genkaku wanted to get away from those dead carcasses, the smell could attract more lions, as could the smoke.

After doing the needed hand seals, a small dark blue ball of water will manifest in Genkaku's hand. He will then throw the ball of water and make a final hand sign causing the water ball to burst as in pop, this will cause a slight drizzle of rain. The slight drizzle lasts for a single post.

The fire easily went out, without anything causing disruption to the lions far away. Good job! Now the wagon was free to go, and was on its merry little way. It rolled away down the trail, uninterrupted by any mountain lions for about an hour. Soon the fat man woke up, and started to randomly yell at the ninja next to him. He lazily sat there, while chewing on a large greasy piece of meat. His robe was stained further. Overall, for the hour they moved along, it was quite nice. The sun was starting to descend, but didn't fall down to dusk. It was still light, though they had more ground to cover.
After an hour, the party would lose their great peace. As the wagon rolled up to a place, there was a large boulder in the middle of the road. It took up half of the road, and on top was the real danger. There was a large mountain lion, this one was very fit. It looked like one of the larger lions, and very aggressive. Behind it were smaller lions, who were equally as aggressive. They all roared, staring down trespassers. They would wait to see what these intruders wanted, not wanting to get themselves hurt unnecessarily. But this was their terf, and defending was the job.

All the lions eyes were starring right at Genkaku and the man he was escorting. Point was, all eyes were on them and Genkaku knew it. For most people that would be a bad thing, but in this case there was nothing more wonderful then that.
Quickly Genkaku began making hand signs as all the lions eyes focused in on him, then once he was done he pointed at the smaller lions in the crowd, did the slicing neck motion with his hand, and then pointed at the much larger lion.
If Genkaku's Genjutsu activated the lions would begin attacking and killing each other, and during the chaos ahead Genkaku and the man could slip past them.

Genkaku makes the correct hand signs to start this Genjutsu. Once they have all been made he then with either hand points in the direction of the enemies and then does the death signal. (The motion of slitting ones neck) Then he points at the other enemies. The enemies that saw the hand motions lose sight of Genkaku and any of his allies, and only see their original allies. But to them their allies look like the enemy. So then the enemy begins to kill/fight each other. This Jutsu can also be used on one enemy if he/she/it has no allies then it would think objects like trees, big rocks, etc are the enemy. The Genjutsu lasts for 2 posts.

The genjutsu on the lions was quite effective, and they all saw the enemy in their sights. Only, it wasn't the enemy. Both of the smaller lions pounced on the larger lion, and they rolled on the boulder in a fit of rage. They bit and tore and fought. It was quite bloody, which made the fat man puke. He puked on the ground next to him, while crying about the lions. He balled his eyes out as they left the fighting lions. They were on their way once more.

IC: They got past the biggest lion they had seen so far, hopefully the biggest they would see, sadly for Genkaku they soon came across 4 more decent sized lions.
Quickly reacting Genkaku made hand-signs covering his now drawn sword with Suiton Chakra, before slashing the air in an X motion with it. Out came a Water 'Dragonking', it was bigger then that of a normal Water Dragon, and it flew right in the direction of 4 lions. Genkaku aimed to take out at least 3 if not all 4 of the lions with this giant water dragon. And if he couldn't kill them he could injure them enough to back off of the wagon.
After he used the Ninjutsu he quickly grabbed a kunai with an explosive note on it and threw it at the lion farthest away, for it was the most likely lion to get past the water dragon. Then keeping his sword covered in Suiton Chakra he rushed in the direction of the lions, just in-case any of them were able to continue on fighting Genkaku would do his best to finish them off with his sword. He had to protect the wagon.

The charging lions did not expect the water dragon, and all of them lined up crashed away. All of them went flying back, even the last one. The explosive tag was not needed, but it furthered damaged the already pained lions. Three of them died upon contact, but the last one could still limp. Instead of charging, however, it roared. This was more of a yelp but it did its job. The yelp carried onto the den of the mountain lions, and outcame the final opponent. This was the big boss fight: A giant alpha mountain lion.

With the fainted man, and a deadly lion, the jounin would have some trouble.

The explosive kunai were largely annoying for the large lion, who had no usual way of dealing with explosives. His large size made him an open target for these, and with the three kunai in all directions, he just jumped to the left. The kunai on the left stabbed into his foot. He roared in pain, then the explosion further scarred it. The foot was all torn up, and the lion could barely walk on it. But now he was pissed, and roared into the air.
Once he roared the lion started to charge. For his size, he was moving fairly quickly. He moved twice as fast as the other lions, being built to kill. He could also take a hit, so the ninja would have to get tons of damage in small bursts, else, the lions would easily just crush him. A charging lion, with much to defend, this was the situation at hand.

Genkaku quickly began making hand signs as the injured lion charged. Having an injured paw and running straight for him would make dodging Genkaku's next move nearly impossible, or at least nearly impossible to not get hit at all. Genkaku slashed his already lit on fire sword in the air making an X. A giant fire dragon came out of the X and went forward flying at the lion. If it hit directly on the lion would probably stop it's assault and try to put out the flames, and whether it hit directly or just slightly, Genkaku's Genjutsu would be activated.
And if his Genjutsu activated the lion would think his entire body was on fire, which would probably stop him in his tracks. So Genkaku watched hoping his attack would make contact.

The mountain lion, even with its alpha status, was not used to dealing with ninjas. Or fire. So once the beast got hit with the fire, it was thrown back. But not enough to stop its raging charge. That would be with the hit alone, but the genjutsu sealed the deal. The burning lion roared, and soon felt itself being burned to death. It couldn't do anything, so it flailed and leaped about.
The lion, in its confusion, soon stumbled to the edge of the road. There it slipped and fell, going to its great death. It was a straight drop, the cliff they were on being quite high up. The beast was dead, but would there be others?
Luckily, there wasn't. With their chief down, all the other lions fled the area in fear. They were all scared of this new threat. The ninja would just have to get the fat man back up on the wagon and wheel him and the wagon to their destination. No harm was to be found after the big battle. Once at the shop, the fat man would greedily take his bowl and rush inside. The mission was accomplished.
