Saku sat in a small box, with only an opening the size of his eye. He was currently lying on his own paws, trying his best to get some sleep, but it seemed that these men weren't going to make that easy; the crate bounced with every movement, and he could hear them talking to each other outside. "Couldn't you be more gentle? You can't expect me to be in any mood to assist you if this is how you treat your guests." This was met with a harsh kick to the box, and a wince.

"God damn it Saku where did you go? Saluki said in a annoying tone as he searched around. The wolf was totally gone! His annoyance turned to fear. Saku was careful... How could he get into trouble? It was always the other way around! Well there was no time to waste so the fox like Ote quickly summoned one of his works of art to quicken his pace.
"Ah, so strange yet so real... With a simple jutsu." He murmored to himself as he did a few hand signs. The large winged snake he had summoned quickly began to change color and become more and more realistic. Once he was done he took a deep breath to try to calm himself before jumping on and flying off. The snake hissed as he kept his head down and began to fly around at a high speed, scanning his surrondings.
Is that a flicker of red aura i see to the east? He thought. Perhaps someone or something was down there with a aura angry enough to be seen, if only a little from up here. It was worth checking out! So with a woosh he set off toward that direction, slowing his speed down as he drew nearer. He had no intent to fly right over them since he was not that type of guy. Risks were needed sometimes yes, thats why he joined Yaksha! but the last thing he wanted was to pass up a chance for a sneak attack.

This is the creation technique of the Ink Style. After painting a picture, the user does the needed seals, causing the ink to 'spring' to life, jumping into a pseudo three dimensional form. This form gets destroyed by medium strength Suiton jutsu. Once destroyed, it degrades into a pool of runny, non-usable ink. Saluki's creations of this type resemble a long but rather thin snake which is just powerful enough to carry the weight of two riders and fly, it has four wings where its legs would be if it snakes had any. This creation also moves with a serpentine motion and can slither as fast as it flys. These creations cannot use jutsu.

After performing the needed hand signs this jutsu allows Saluki to use his chakra to give his ink creations a colorful and very life like appearance so they look like real living creatures. This jutsu cause’s Saluki to change the stats of his creations as well by lowering their strength by 2 and raising their speed by 2. Note, this cannot be used on creations with a strength of 2 or lower without destroying them.

Saluki's plan would've worked well enough, had he thought to scope things out a little better. The red auras he spotted revealed two men, yelling at a box that held what could've only been Saku. Unfortunately for the nukenin, he was moving too quickly to spot the faint aura from a patch of underbrush, nearly 100 feet behind the two walking with the box. As soon as he grew close, three kunai flew from the bush, aiming for the underbelly of his ink creation. The other two, quickly startled by the sound, glanced upward. One of them fell back on his ass, shouting loud enough that even Saluki could here.
"What the FUCK? Who's this schmuck?"
"Idiot. This is a summon, right? This this is his summoner. Guess he's pissed that we locked away his little friend." The only one still standing was leaning against the box, smiling without even a hint of concern, as he waved a hand. "Come on out, Maya. He knows you're there, now."

"Aw shit!" Saluki cursed as the knives went speeding toward him. He quickly made his creation twist and spin in the air in a defensive formation to avoid the projectiles. Two went flying right by and the third was so on target that even with his wonderful creation's speed it hit. Not the art though no, it almost hit him! The knife had made a firm click as it chipped against the metal bindings of his sketchbook leaving a small dent.
"Bastaarrddddss!" He hissed in annoyance as he twisted his neck slightly causing the book to return to his lap. The serpent hissed loudly before diving up a little further in the air with amazing speed. Saluki looked down again, there was another aura somewhere down there but he could not qiute see it from way up here.
As quick as he went up he went back down. This serpent could fly at a grand speed of 60 miles an hour! And it was so slender that projectiles were not only hinder by its speed but also its body shape. "The last prick that messed with my book was pissing his pants he was so scared... Sick em" He said as he quickly flipped through the pages of his book and came upon another sketch which he summoned. The serpent came low to the ground, still twisting and making its movements pretty hard to predict to dodge anymore attacks just as he summoned the monster so it would not get damaged from a fall. Saluki could see now his unknown attacker was some kinda lady and made an annoyed expression before the serpent hissed loudly and then flew off about thirty feet away, creating a circle around the battle field.
It will look like im scouting for traps which i am, but i also intend to throw another safety barrior up mhm... I should of been more careful but there is no sense crying over spilled milk He thought. The serpent fliped around and once it went by a tree that was slightly larger then the rest he quickly summoned an ink clone of himself while hidden by the leafs. The clone would ride on the serpent while he, waited and watched from the safety of that tree. He kept his back to the tree while standing on a sturdy branch and saw what his clone saw by keeping his eyes closed as his creation flew back around. His corpse like work of art would make its intentions known, he was indeed pissed and it would try to attack Maya and her companions as his clone and the serpent flew back around and attempted to snatch up the box with Saku in it during the chaos.

This form can be destroyed by a medium-strength Suiton jutsu. Weak Suiton will only remove small portions. Once destroyed, it degrades into a pool of runny, non-usable ink. Saluki’s creations of this type resemble a mangled reanimated corpse that crawls on all fours and has its mouth and eyes sown shut. This creation cannot use jutsu.

A simple clone technique, in which the user paints a picture of himself, and then animates it. The clone looks exactly like the user, similar to the original Bunshin no Jutsu and Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. The clone has half the stats of the user can use any jutsu from this ninjutsu style without need of calligraphy kit. The limit is C-rank for the jutsu, and afterward, the clone is automatically destroyed, since the ink needed for the jutsu comes from the clone itself. The clone is easily destroyed, quite possibly one of the easiest clones to destroy, by a single hit from anything.

Meanwhile, the two other shinobi were doing their best to deal with Saluki's oversized serpent. One of them opened his mouth wide, spurting out an enormous jet of molten stone above it. By using the skills learned in Earth Element • Rock Creation Skill, the user is now able to raise solid stone spikes from the ground after performing a set of hand seals. The user can summon up to six spikes, five feet in height and a foot in width, within ten meters of him or her. If these spikes were to be raised beneath an opponent, it could cause serious, even fatal injuries. This technique is more often used to obstruct the user's opponents, and even to harm them while they are distracted. The speed at which the spikes rise from the ground is three.

B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the hand seals, the user is capable of spewing out a large sheet of magma. It spreads in the air as it travels in an arc, roughly six feet wide and it covers an eight foot tall area before falling down. It prevents the target(s) from jumping to avoid it and it also drops down small amounts of lava to all under it even before falling. When it hits, it melts into things and produces a large amount of steam to obscure vision.

As the mangled corpse creation was forced to cease its charge it reacted to the jutsu being used on it by diving out of the way. The rocks were fast, but this creation was another one of Saluki's speed type so it could move at double the speed of the rocks as it dived out of harms way to the left of Maya. Since it had to move out the way it was still not within melee range but it made a disturbing, gurgling sort of noise as it ran away from Maya and off toward Hoi, attempting to attack his back and claw at him with its limbs.
Meanwhile in the air Saluki's clone and his Serpent were trying to figure out what the hell was happening. Saluki saw through its eyes and tried to understand just before he saw the lava drops coming down from above. "OH SHIT!, DOWN DOWN DOWN!" His clone screamed. The Serpent had already dived down from the sky in an attempt to avoid whatever was raining lava droplets down on them, it was extremely fast so it was able to reach the ground in near an instant while whatever was up there was still coming down more slowly on its own. The steam blocked the serpents vishion though so it nearly crashed into a tree as it swished under a branch, Saluki's clone was knocked off as it crashed into the branch the serpent narrowly dodged. Saluki's clone new it had just a few seconds before whatever was in the air made contact with him and he had no time to get down and run so he quickly did some hand seals and used his ink to make another creation before the lava came flying down, melting the clone of Saluki that was already falling part due to it giving its ink to the new creation.
The serpent did not get out of the attack perfectally unharmed. A little of its tail had made contact with the lava and melted it before it dived down. It was qiute annoyed as a small trail of ink dropped down from the wounded limb of the creation as it continued to fly. Saluki had broken his jutsu with his clone the moment it banged into the tree branch and had ran down, toward the scene from his location which was behind the crate that Saku was supposedly captured in.

It quickly took off and tried to come up behind Maya to strike at her while her guard was down. The serpent had span around dodging another tree before swooshing back up into the air and attempting to turn fly after the third shinobi that Saluki did not yet know the name of. Once it was in range it would make an attack if it saw an opening, and with its speed it would be there very soon.
Saluki himself had hid behind another tree that was just a very short distance from the box Saku was suppose to be in and he used his eyes to try to see if he could see an aura coming from the box. Was Saku okay? Was he even there? Perhaps it was a trap! He also tried to see if he could get an idea of the emotions of his enemy shinobi as well but he could not make out the aura's just yet. Inside the box, there was only a faint greenish glow of annoyance. The sound of growling wasn't quite loud enough to reach Saluki, but all three of the shinobi heard it just fine. The most vocal of the three rushed towards it, drawing a nodachi from his side, and holding it just at the air slit. "Enough! I'm getting tired of this shit; now you're going to walk away, or I'm going to kill this thing!" His eyes glittered with mad fury, mixed with a hint of fear, and his hands were trembling, but there even Saluki could tell that he meant what he said.
While the creation was trying to close in on Hoi, he was forming the handseals of his next jutsu at incredible speeds. Saluki felt a chill run down his spine as he heard the man yell at him while threatening to harm if not kill Saku. Saku was smart and he figured it would take more then one stab to bring him down since he had that self healing medical jutsu. Even so... He would risk his own neck for his sake and try a new tactic. He quickly did some hand signs in about a second before he stepped out from behind a nearby tree and slowly walked toward the man while speaking and with his hands raised in a surrendering manner "Wait wait wait, okay... Killing him is the last thing either of us want okay? Can we please work out some sort of agreement...? What could you possibly want with him anyway?" He asked while trying to sound calm and friendly. He kept his hands raised and tried to make eye contact while keeping a sincere expression. If the man looked at him in the eyes for a moment he would attempt his genjtusu to raise his odds.

The only unnamed member of the group was caught by Saluki's genjutsu without a hitch, and his entire face went slightly slack, as if he were half-asleep. His grip on the blade loosened, but it was clear he could still use it if the occasion arose. "Okay, okay...yeah, killing him is probably stupid. The Tsuchikage would kick my ass anyways if I did..." As soon as the word 'Tsuchi' left his lips, Hoi was already moving with long strides, a hand snapping out and slapping the shinobi in the cheek. Pain and betrayal flashed across his face, as he cradled the cheek. "Ow, man! What was that for?"
"Shut your mouth, or I'll pour hot lava down it. Don't think I'm not serious about this."
He turned to Saluki, flipping a hand quickly. "Yes, we're from Iwagakure. Just so happens that we're not exactly on the best terms with Kumo; but I'm sure you knew that, didn't you? Saluki tilted his head slightly with a slight smirk, despite the disturbing idea of having his eyes taken out he could not help feeling a little flattered. "So let me get this straight... You three set all this up to catch a lost little kid like moi? Heheh you two brutes look like the type that would be desperate enough to do such a thing... But, Maya was it? Surely not you! You are clearly a fellow artist yea? The moment i saw you i could tell by your charming looks and stylish attire you were different, special... The woman or the two strong men? I am running out of chakra and there is no way i can take on all three of you, but i can help you get rid of those two oafs with the energy i have left. If she did do this it would fly off as quickly as it landed and most likely leave her attackers in the dust.

Jubaku Satsu is a Genjutsu technique utilized by Saluki. After forming the needed hand seals, and laughing insanely the target that hears it will have an angel of death tombstone grow from the ground behind them and its arms will move and bind them so they can no longer move. Once the illusion makes them believe they are captured, the user will rip out from under the ground and proceed to stab their target with a kunai. A strength stat of six or higher can break the tombstone.

Hoi was helpless to stop the jutsu as it began, wriggling as he felt cold stone pressing against his back. His eyes shut, and his body began to shake, but after a moment or two, his shaking slowed. This is a genjutsu...if someone could really do something like this, we'd all know...No, this can't be real..." He placed his hands in front of him, forming the handseal as his eyes opened. There was just a faint flicker of fear, as he spotted the boy running for him, weapon drawn. He only barely managed to murmur the words, before the kid...vanished. He was left standing in place, slightly drained, and shaking himself off.
Loose Lips, meanwhile, was already swinging his blade out of the opening, drawing a kunai and tossing it at Saluki. The projectile soared for Saluki, just as the genjutsu caught him. Staring off slightly into space, Loose Lips began to shake, his entire body shaking. He was murmuring under his breath, slowly devolving into screams. However, he moved both of his arms as if he were breaking off an imaginary weight, and swung his blade at thin air; though he missed the wolf by a long shot, his strike moved him out of the direction of its attack. He blinked a few times, looking around him, and then snarled at the wolf.
"Ahhh, fuck! It's a genjutsu, Hoi!"
"And obvious statement of the day goes to..."
Hoi was already forming more handseals, making a spitting motion at Maya, who had been hesitating behind the dragon, trying to make up her mind. As she finally gave a small shriek, jumping onto the beast's back, Hoi's magma globule struck her outfit, and she began to bat at it furiously.
"Oh god, why'd this happen to me? Help, heeeeelp!"

Saluki gasped as the blade went swirling past his head, cutting his cheek slightly. Enough to draw blood but hopefully not scar as he continued to rush foward on the attack. Thanks to his genjutsu, those still under it would have been unable to see him as the effect always made him spring up from underground in their mind. Therefore they would not see him until he came within striking range. He held back a curse and checked for Saku's aura to see if he was alright while he charged foward. He took his Kunai and stabbed at Hoi's face, he had just finished a jutsu and Saluki could hear Maya screaming for assistance.
The wolf snarled back in return to loose lips and continued to guard the box. If either of the two men made a move toward the box it would attack them, defensivly. Its goal was not to kill but protect for the time being.
Meanwhile the serpent swooped down with Maya still screaming on its back toward Saluki who finished his attempted attack and quickly did some hand seals to spring up into the air with a jet of water and land on the creature's back behind Maya. He also sprayed her with just enough water to get the magma off her outfit. Although it tore her attire slightly in the process it was off at least. "You okay? Help me open that box please!" He said in a serious and concerned tone toward her before he jumped back off the serpent and landed on a tree nearby the two men. The serpent began to circle around but kept a distance so Maya could hopefully use some of her jutsu in safety.
Lastly the mangled corpse creation charged out from behind a tree and began to claw at Hoi from behind with its remaining arm, hopefully it caught the man off guard since the serpent had yet again flown so close and Saluki had also caused qiute a mess of water with his jutsu. If Loose lips tried to help Hoi fight the creation the wolf creation would use this chance to catch loose lips with his guard down as well. However it still would not stray too far from the box. Saluki who was still up in the tree would hurl his kunai at loose lips while he hopefully was distracted by the wolf and mangled corpse creation attacking Hoi. He had the knife aimed at the man's heart since Saluki did not want to play around anymore. He cared about Saku like a brother and these people went too far.

If Loose lips tried to help Hoi fight the creation the wolf creation would use this chance to catch loose lips with his guard down as well. However it still would not stray too far from the box. Saluki who was still up in the tree would hurl his kunai at loose lips while he hopefully was distracted by the wolf and mangled corpse creation attacking Hoi. He had the knife aimed at the man's heart since Saluki did not want to play around anymore. He cared about Saku like a brother and these people went too far.

The water that struck Maya also had the unfortunate side effect of hitting his the side of Saluki's own creation; a portion of its body melted into black sludge, landing on the ground and spreading outward quickly. The magma on her shoulder fell off, hardening into a fist-sized rock, and struck the ground. Hoi was already walking towards it when the mangled corpse burst forth, prepared to strike; in one swift movement, he tossed the rock at the creation. The stone flew with enough force that it could've dealt a serious blow to the ink beast. Meanwhile, loose lips had regained his sword and his composure, and was swinging his blade at the wolf even as he shouted.
"Fuck, man! I've failed too many missions already! I fail anymore, and Iwa's never gonna forgive me!"

By now the Kunai Saluki had hurled at loose lips vital point would most likely connect. Saluki did not wait to find out as he lept down from the tree and rushed toward the box with Saku. The wolf loose lips was fighting lept gracefully into the air and narrowly dodging the blade of his sword.
Meanwhile the damaged serpent which had lost one of its wings from the water had landed as skilfully as it could on the ground with Maya still on its back and it was now slithering around in a clockwise circle around the battlefield continuing to try to provide Maya with some protection while she performed her jutsu. (If she performed her jutsu)

The kunai did connect, but not where Saluki expected; as soon as it approached, Loose Lips jumped forward, and the kunai struck his side, sticking in it. He gave a hiss of pain, but ignored it as he made a single deadly slice at the ink beast. He moved with shocking speed and grace, keeping the wolf constantly on the defensive. His face was drawn tight, and sweat was pouring from his brow, as he continued to attack.
Meanwhile, Hoi was backpedaling, only barely keeping his distance from the now-wounded biped. He formed a few quick handseals, and spat out a small glob of lava, sizzling in the air a bit, as it flew towards the ink beast's chest.
Maya was still trembling, watching the fight with wide eyes and whimpering a bit.

While Saluki's art kept the enemies at bay Saluki had been looking the box over, making sure with his eyes to locate where Saku was at so he did not risk harming him once he attempted to break the box. "Saku take cover!" He warned just after he finished performing a few handseals. He then punched his fist into the side of the box when Saku had moved his body as far out of that section as possible, attempting to create an opening. He focused his chakra in his attack making it qiute powerful.
Once Saluki had struck the box the wolf monster Saluki had drawn dived sideways down to the ground while still just narrowly dodging Loose Lip's barrage of attacks. The creation could hardly dodge let alone strike at this point. The man seemed relentless.

Hoi was already on the move, and Saluki's serpent chomped on a mouthful of dirt, as the shinobi lept ahead, landed on his knees, and balancing himself with a hand. He turned, and formed a few more handseals. The shinobi's brow was glistening with sweat, and he was clearly exhausted after exerting so much chakra. His chest rose and fell quickly, as he murmured again. "This is for the glory of Iwagakure. Your eyes will be ours, before this day is over. Whether we take them by force, or you give up of your own free will." He craned his head towards the sky, spitting out a curtain of lava, that began to fall in huge, steaming droplets. Each of them were the size of Saluki's chest, and they were hot enough to make steam rise as they dropped.
Loose lips, meanwhile, was finally getting the wolf on the defensive. He pressed every attack, his blade sweeping at its legs, only for his leg to come in at its side a moment later. His face was growing red from exertion, but he was in much better shape than Hoi right now.

It spreads in the air as it travels in an arc, roughly six feet wide and it covers an eight foot tall area before falling down. Hoi's words has caught Saluki's attention and he was already moving away and starting a jutsu when the deadly lava was hurled at him from above. The fox like Ote could feel the steam surrond him and knew without looking up it was the same jutsu that burned his ink clone before. He had to get out FAST. As his jutsu activated he went flying foward at an amazing speed toward his attacker, one of the globs that fell from the sky as he moved just singed the tip of his shaw as he appeared within close range of his opponent and performed another, suiton based jutsu.
"How are you going to take my eyes if you melt me fool?! Surrender. YEAH!" He snarled as he attacked him with the whip created. He was aimming for the hands to try to ensure his opponent did not perform anymore jutsu. He also would send a burst of raition through the weapon he created if it made contact to further aid him in downing Hoi.
The serpent lurked behind Hoi as well, waiting for a chance to strike. Saluki was well aware of his creation and was careful to give his suiton based whip just enough reach to strike Hoi but not extend to far and harm the serpent if he dodged at the right time. The serpent did not attempt to attack yet since it was mainly there for distraction, as well as to offer Maya a chance to assist.

It was kicked roughly back a few feet and snarled. Some ink dripped from the spot it had been struck but it did not falter and pretended to charge Loose lips again before stopping mid way and waiting to see if he would take the bait and swing. If Loose lips did it would try to strike him while his guard was down. If Loose lips did not fall for it the wolf would contineu to play defensive. It's purpose was to keep Saku safe and play distraction, not get itself destroyed by acting recklessly.

He was slinky and lightweighted but luckily his springy nature got him back on his feet almost instantly once he fell down. His arms hurt like hell for absorbing that. Not spranged but close, he could tell he was going to get some purple bruises there and that if he had let the blow strike his ribs something might of broke.
"Art and life are one, and neither shall fade why i, the greatest Artist from the hidden cloud continue to exist, mhm..." He said in a in a gentle but passionate and positive tone. He had a change of attitude now because he figured out that if these two strong men that had been so keen on killing him were asking for him to give up it meant he was winning... Victory was within his grasp if he just kept the art flowing. He still had some chakra left and as his hands flew to open his book he grinned as he found what he needed and made the hand signs to summon it.
"Behold, my art, and your nightmare" He said cheerfully as he pointed his finger to Hoi, instructing the beast to attack. The massive gargoyal like figure moved to attack the man, its footsteps crunching the earth under in a intimidating manner. Once it got close it attacked Hoi with a powerful punch toward his chest, and with enough force to be qiute deadly. This creation was so skilled in tailjutsu that even if his opponent blocked the foward attack it would spin its body around and attempt a second attack with its long tail.
Meanwhile the wolf was on its last legs. It continued to claw at where it had drawn blood. Attempt to focus on one spot rather then slashing randomally now. It wanted to do as much damage to its destroyer as possible since it knew it wouldn't last much longer at the rate of ink it was losing. Once the knee hit it in the underbelly it made its body go limp and it played dead a few moments, hoping it would make Loose lips lower his guard. If he did it would strike again with his forepaws at his throat while attempting to rake where it had previously drawn so much blood with its hind claws. One more strong cut would finish the creation for good but if it would drag on another few minutes if Loose Lips let it.

This creation was so skilled in tailjutsu that even if his opponent blocked the foward attack it would spin its body around and attempt a second attack with its long tail.
Meanwhile the wolf was on its last legs. It continued to claw at where it had drawn blood. Attempt to focus on one spot rather then slashing randomally now. It wanted to do as much damage to its destroyer as possible since it knew it wouldn't last much longer at the rate of ink it was losing. Once the knee hit it in the underbelly it made its body go limp and it played dead a few moments, hoping it would make Loose lips lower his guard. If he did it would strike again with his forepaws at his throat while attempting to rake where it had previously drawn so much blood with its hind claws. One more strong cut would finish the creation for good but if it would drag on another few minutes if Loose Lips let it.
The snake creation which was by Saku's crate was attempting to chew one side of it open, the same side Saluki had previously damaged. It was careful not to dig too deep with its jaws so it would not risk harming Saku as it continued to try to bust it open. It also kept a gaze on Loose lips, watching the wolf creation falling apart to the warrior's strength from afar.

Loose Lips never stopped kneeing the wolf, the assault simply repeatedly sunk into the faux-flesh. His face was still a mask of pain, and his teeth were clenched together, but he managed to keep upright while he continued to beat the animal into submission. "God damn! Even real wolves aren't this tough! Why can't you just roll over and die? Save us BOTH some time and effort?" His voice was growing tired, but he continued the attack nonetheless.
Hoi, meanwhile, was facing the gargoyle stoically; every time it took a step closer, he could feel the ground beginning to rumble from the tremendous weight. Its movements were slow, almost telegraphed, but it still had so much force behind each blow that there would be no way he could block. He stepped back, avoiding the first blow entirely; the creature began to spin around for a strike with its tail, but the shinobi was already ducking under it. He rose, taking a step forward, and swinging a fist at its chest, before weaving to the side, to avoid any sort of counter-attack.

The serpent had noticed this and ceased its attempts on breaking the box as it stared Loose lips down, almost daring him to make a move against it. Saluki's art were all as stubborn as him, only Saluki's sensei Yaksha had managed to befriend him. Even Saku had trouble working with the Ote since he liked to do things his way no matter what.
The Gargoyal took the hit to the chest but did not even flinch as it punched at him. Upon seeing the shinobi dodge yet again the gargoyal growled in annoyance and followed after Hoi when he weaved. It continued to press foward and attack, it was slow but relentless as it punched foward at him several times.
Saluki rubbed his hands together and made a slightly obnoxious little laugh like a imp before he managed to untangle his whip from the rock. With it in hand he shruged off the pain he had and walked with the weapon in hand with his chin up, appeaering elegant and confident in his movements. He had faith his gargoyal would keep Hoi busy but he kept his guard up as he approached Loose Lips. "Oh my! You look qiute injured friend, i say... You should REALLY leave. To me, true art is the living essence of things, it ruins my quota to have to kill people...But i have before. You poor fellas really dont know WHO your dealing with, do you?" He said with a heavy sigh as he snapped the whip. He made a confident grin although he was bluffing a tad. He knew he only had enough chakra left for one more strong jutsu and or a limited few weak jutsu if he was lucky.

Hoi glanced over his shoulder, his expression turning positively wooden. He was still ducking the gargoyle's blows, but a little closer each time. It wouldn't take much at all to leave him open for a real blow from the gargoyle. "To me, true art is victory in combat. Defeating your enemies by any means necessary. You can let us live if you like. But I warn you, Ote. Iwagakure does not forget. We do not show mercy. Spare us now and we will not simply pretend this never happened. We will come back, with twice as many. And next time we won't just take your wolf. We'll take everything you hold dear." He ducked under another swooping strike from the gargoyle's tail, and stomped on it a bit as it passed by.

Saluki turned around while keeping his back to the snake who in turn was watching Loose lips. Saluki felt he could trust the girl he befriended but he was aware she was there as well and kept alert just in case. It hardly seemed like he was on guard at all though as he bit his lip and made a annoyed expression At Hoi similar to a child who obtained socks for christmas. When the man finished speaking to him he lowered his head silently then began to chuckle, it was darker, and highly amused. "Heheheh! Let me get this straight, if i let you live you would take my life... Well thats no worse then what you already wanted! Its not like you lot would take my eyes and let me go, i dont trust you two ruthless pests one bit." He shook his head as he said this and crossed his arms while pacing back and forth about five feet, pretending to think things through. The gargoyal like beast he created cease its attacks for the time being but would attack again if Hoi made any attempt to attack.
"You threaten to hunt me down, which im sure your village would do if i killed you anyway... And as for friends... Hah! I have no friends. My wolf i know deep down dislikes the true artist i have become, and my only other ally is my sensei who could twist your minds like all the snakes he controls." He went on while continueing to face before stopping and looking directly at Hoi as he finished his reply.
"With all of this being said, my choice is made. I tell you again, go, and dont come back until your fully confident in your own style of art, yeah" His tone grew more respectful at that last part, since if Hoi truely considered combat a form of art then an artist was an artist and he had a form of respect for all of them.

Hoi's entire body went still; he even ceased to breathe, as he glanced at Saluki. He was clearly trying to think through his options, and weigh every possibility. His voice, when it came out, was soft and toneless; it had become as hard as steel, and as hot as the magma he made. "I will return, Ote Saluki. Me, and Wato...and when we return, we will be much more prepared. We will turn your art into molten slag." He rose his voice, and turned his head just slightly, to glare at Loose Lips. "Wato. Grab Maya and let's go. Let the Ote have his precious dog back. We'll get him later."

Wato dashed forward, leaping past the serpent and snatching Maya by her hair. He landed on one knee, panting audibly, but Maya herself was screaming, and the sound drowned out everything else.
"Goodbye, Ote. I only hope you'll perfect your own art before we meet again."
It seemed that Saku was safe, for now.

Saluki listened to them without another word while keeping a slightly smug grin on his face. The gargoyal slowly trudged over by his side just incase they tried anything funny while Saluki listened to the two men speak to each other and prepare to head off. So his name is Wato huh... He made a mental note of that and twitched his ears once he heard Maya scream.
She did not help much at all... She just sat there, unable to choose a side and make a conclusion... Perhaps it is for the best of her village that she cease being a ninja and live a more passive life. Yeah... He thought as he lowered his head and bit his lip. He had gave his word... But he had made an agreement as well, she was suppose to assist him, not sit on her ass... The agreements were not met, and therefore he found no reason to be bound by his word.
"Wait!" He suddenly shouted once they began to walk away a few feet. He walked over to them, still with the gargoyal closeby and the ever watchful eyes of his wounded serpent creation watching as he looked Hoi in the eyes.
"Let me release this genjutsu i placed on your friend here... My tricks and charms are a force to be reckoned with and she would still be under the spell for some time without me doing this." He bluffed as gestured to the back of his sketchbook, pointing to the rose he etched on his headband to show he was indeed a dramatic soul. He made a half smile at Maya then did a release seal with his hand although in reality he had no genjutsu to release.
"Would not want her accidentally doing something she regreted to you two on the way back, now that an agreement has been made, heh." He said as he looked from Maya to the two men. Once he finished he stepped away from them to give them some space. His eyes drifted over to the crate just a moment to make sure that Saku and his energy was still in there and that this was not some sort of escape trick the trio had come up with if they lost.
