Bonfires Under A Full Moon

Calling it chilly outside would understatement if Tsukiite had ever heard one, but then again this was Kumogakure, the village hidden in the clouds, so one expect it to be at least mildly chilly year round from how high they were in the mountains. Some might think the cold weather was the reason for the large bonfire in the middle of the night, but few knew otherwise, it was a ritual for the moon goddess. This ritual was the reason for Tsukiite being there that night, dressed in her normal armor, though the only weapons she brough with her were her knives. She was hear to have fun and get lost in the trance of the music playing around them. Many were consuming the Harvest Ale that was in abundance at this party, and every so often someone would raise their cups to the sky and yell salute, while looking at the moon.

If an outsider were to look upon the party they would not easily tell the ninja of the hidden village from the civilians, as most came in casual clothing, only very few came ready for something unexpected to happpen. Those who were still dressed and armed as ninja seemed to also be the ones who knew what the ritual was for as they stuck together in groups, conversing and partaking in a feast of sorts. After blasting Harvest Ale from her nose from laughing so hard Tsukiite looked up and smiled, she just saw someone new come to the party. As she walked over to greet them she grabbed an extra glass of Ale and handed to them. Salute my friend!

The music was playing everyone was dancing lively some unaware of the ritual some that knew, Satoshi's dad had told him story's of such rituals and party's a long time ago before he departed. Satoshi however came in his normal ninja attire minus his Forehead protector which was now inside of his ninja bag. It was very lively indeed even though he didn't want to seem out of place he wanted to be prepared in case anything bad was to happen, it was always best to be on alert as a ninja even when having a fun time. At least's thats what he was told by his father and the academy. He was lunched over when walking swaying from side to side as he did when he didn't feel like walking up straight, he looked up at the night sky to see the moon glistening.

However before he knew it Satoshi was already in rhythm with the music as he swayed he didn't notice it until someone had shouted out "nice moves a bit sluggish there though." After which being a little embarrassed he blushed but no one could see due to his mask. As he turned his attention back in front of him he saw someone walking towards him, he quickly straightened up and was now 7 feet tall, give or take a few inches due to his hood and shoes. A girl walked over to him and gave him a drink she told him to Salute, he didn't want to seem out of place so he smiled and did. His mask was special so when he smiled hard it began to give of a creeping cracking like feature in the mask that resembled a smile. As if t he mask itself was trying to show its joy and excitement or just creep someone out. "Thank you." Satoshi said the mask reverted back to what it was with no cracks and he moved it to the side of his face so and revealed his sea foam green eyes and hair.

Throwing her head back and raising her the bottom of her glass towards the sky Tsuki downed her ale, she was having fun. So what is a Shioke doing down here, if you don't mind me asking. I mean I very rarely see any of you around nowadays. Her tone was light, casual as she led the tall boy towards the barrel of Ale, she wanted more of the harvest spice drink, and she wanted a reason for the tall boy to keep his mask off. My name is Tsuki by the way, not sure if you remember me though, I think we've only met a few times. Having to yell over the music was beginning to annoy her, but she wanted to really get to know this tall Chuunin. Living in a village as friendly as Kumogakure you were sure to know almost every one in the village, even if you could only remember them by face, or in this case by mask.

After refilling her glass Tsuki grabbed, what appeared to be a small piece of pumpkin, and bit into it. As the party got larger you could notice that there were more and more ninja at the party, all of them armed to some degree, perhaps something was wrong, but no one looked alarmed, but not to long after a noticable group of Jounin arrived someone came up to the two Chuunin and spoke in a voice low enough so that they were the only ones to hear. Do not be alarmed, but a pack of Olympic wolves have been sighted not far from here in the woods. The heads of these wolves stand at seven feet, and their bodies, including their tail, are about five feet in length. They are dangerous, but Lord Raikage asks that you merely run them off if you come in contact with them. Tsuki nodded and looked around, the other ninja at the party were getting the same information, and then the Jounin were leaving. Well this should be fun! What better on a full moon than giant wolves? Makes you wonder if they are actually wolves. Tsuki stuck her tongue out and winked at the Shioke boy as the light from the fire made the silver in her hair and skin glow incredibly.

Satoshi followed the girl as they walked over to the big barrel of ale. To his surprise she was very open, but what was on to expect at a part. Even though this had been the first public party Satoshi had ever been to he was enjoying himself more then he had in a long time. Meeting new people and making and talking to others just made the whole thing better. He took his hood off and his sea foam green hair glistened in the moon light matching that only of his eyes. The girl started to ask questions which Satoshi was happy to reply. He seemed to be getting along a little well with the girl, he took a sip of the ale he had been given and said "Yeah i don't really know myself to be honest. Everyone's just gotten really busy a lot lately." Satoshi said with a little disappointment seeing as he had actually saw his cousin Renge not to many days before this. Yet even then his family was in a rush. It seemed as if everybody was starting to drift further and further from him.

"As for me i just heard this was going on while training and decided to make my way down here to see what it was like for a change." He took another sip of his ale and smiled as he began to speak again "Oh forgive me i seem to have forgotten my manners, I am Satoshi. Its nice to meet you Tsuki." After which he was told that large wolves might be in the area. This just made his day a lot more fun but dangerous as well. He was hoping to test out his strength after training so much and hopefully not get killed non the less he was know more alert but he wouldn't let that stop him from having a good time.

[Gara]

The thought of enormous wolves interupting the party had Tsuki on an adreniline high, and as the music was cranked higher people seemed to be in a trance and things began to blur, it was unreal. Taking Satoshi's hand she gently tugged him closer to the large group of dancers, seeing if he would join her, if not then she would find him again after she was done, or when she needed help walking home. Hormones danced in the air, blood sped through veins faster than surely was healthy, and no one seemed to actually be "thinking" about what they were doing, only going with the intensity of the music, the ritual seemed to have been forgotten, or was now taking place, for some of the old Pagan rituals involved just the sort of thing this massive group was doing.

Satoshi blushed as Tsuki had grabbed his hands and pulled him into the crowed to dance. He however had any idea how to dance at least not that good. His cheeks turned that of a rosy color and as tall as he was he stood above everyone else. He was getting nervous his hands started to twitch. But eventually he began to listen to rhythmic beats of the music. Then he did what came natural to him, he swayed back and forth moving his arms in and out, and before he knew it he was dancing and having fun like everyone else in the crowd. He loved the feeling the feeling of being around so many cheerful people, having a good time with others and not being so alone. Meeting new people, talking to people, and possibly making new friends.

Satoshi was usually a person that slowly drifted away from others that he knew. Someone that just went from goofy and fun to quite and boring sitting in the shadows while everyone walked passed. For him this party was a new step in his life, but there was on thing Satoshi was starting to forget and that was about the wolfs. As he danced a little more it started to come back to him, his face went from as cheerful to a little more serious. Non the less he was still smiling and having fun. He swayed back a little more trying not to bump into people but eventually he got the hang of the area around him. "This is fun! Its the most fun Ive had in a long time, thank you Tsuki." He said giving a bigger gentle smile, as he sea foam green eyes sparkled in the moonlight and the light slowly refracted of his hair.

[Gara]

As she danced, the silver in Tsuki's hair became more visible as it swung through the air, glowing brightly in the moonlight. Although she didn't wish to stop dancing she slowly danced her way out of the group, she needed more Ale, but, looking around at the other ninja , decided on pumpkin juice instead. Having caught her eye, one of the other ninja at the party nodded, confirmming the wolves had been seen closer to the party. I'm glad you are having fun, but I hope things end soon, it seems the wolves are getting closer now, and I don't want any one getting hurt. Almost as soon as she got done talking Tsuki had an idea, and soon began walking backwards away from Satoshi. How about we go patrol the outskirts of the woods near by? Maybe I could show you a few tricks you've never seen before. Tsuki winked as she turned and began to run away at an even pace, headed for the closest woods to the party.

Satoshi watched as she slowly danced out of the group. He was astonished by her hair like stars dancing in the sky. It was a very nice feature on the girl indeed, she then told Satoshi to follow her into to the woods. Satoshi was childish but he wasn't oblivious to what he thought it meant anyway. He followed Tsuki into the woods, not only that but kept a close eye on his surrounding so not to get lost. That and so that he wasn't caught by surprise by unwanted visitors like the people at the part, or the wolves that where seen getting closer to it. If anything Satoshi figured he might have to do a little bit of fighting. However he was prepared it seemed like a good choice to had come in his ninja gear, after all at least to Satoshi.

He was a little disappointed about things having to end just when he was having so much fun but it was okay for now. There would always be more parties hopefully, but the peoples safety came first. Although he was a little pissed off about the wolves ruining most of his fun for tonight. Or just the beginning of his fun.

[Gara]

Don't look so nervous, you act like I'm going to change into a wolf and eat you or something. She laughed, and what a laugh it was, sounding of silver bells and wind chimes, and, after she winked at the boy, Tsuki formed a long stream of hand seals. Holding her left arm as if she were holding a bow Tsuki began forming one handed seals with her right hand and then acted as if she was pulling back a string on a bow. Almost out of no where an arrow formed completely out of raiton seemed to grow out of her hand. See that tree back there? Between the oak and spruce? I bet you two of my silver arrows for four of your kunai that I can cut the bottom most leaf off the branch closest to the ground withoutmaking any of the other leaves move. Winking at Satoshi again Tsukiite took aim, waiting for the boy's answer.

Far enough away that the two chuunin were unable to hear, or even see, the wolves were running at their top speed toward them, and soon would be close enough to attack them. Would the Chuunin be able to fight them off or would the wolves prevail?

[Coreith]

Satoshi watched as Tsuki stuck her hands out, it was a bit weird and it was odd that she had an arrow but no bow. It was to good to be true it seemed she would lose this bet, however Satoshi figured she might have some trick up her sleeve non the less he decided to take the bet. Satoshi four of his kunai that she couldn't hit the mark in the trees and in turn he would get two of her arrows, but if she did he would have to give her 4 of kunai. It seemed as though she was pretty confident in her aiming ability even with no bow. This wasn't the type of tricks he was hoping for but he went along with it for the time being, trying to clear the more perverted thoughts out of his mind. He then took out 4 of his kunai and twiddled with them in his hands. "Pretty confident there, so be it! Your on i agree to your bet."

With that he jumped into a near by tree to get a closer look. He sat on the branch and waited to see what Tsuki would do next and if she could really hit the tree branch. He hadn't noticed it at first but he it seemed like he was making a new friend. Although he was having fun he made sure to still be a little alert of his surroundings, the wolves where reported to be close to the party and venturing out into the woods just made them closer to them. However he hadn't noticed anything just yet. None the less he dug into his ninja bag and pulled his Kami-shin out of its sheath just to be safe.

[Gara]

Winking at Satoshi once more Tsuki took aim for real this time and released the arrow. The arrow made of pure Raiton flew true to its target, and would have hit it if one of the giant wolves had not gotten in its way. The wolf howled in agony and Tsuki cursed under her breath. Shit just got real Sato-kun, let's hope we can fend these fuckers off! Jumping into a near by tree Tsuki activated her increased perception jutsu, and summoned two more Raiton Arrows with more hand signs, leasing them as fast as she could at the wolves that now raced around them.

The wolves ran in two different directions, three running clockwise while the other two rank counter clock wise, circling the two ninja in the trees. These fuckers are just about as big as you dude, holy shit! It wasn't fear in her voice, but something more, maybe excitement at the coming fight. And as she continued to summon forth more arrows and fire them at the wolves she hoped that Satoshi had something to kill them with, her arrows could only do blunt damage, well that and leave electrical burns.

[Coreith]

Satoshi watched as the arrows whisked through the trees and hit something large right in the eye it howled and before Satoshi knew it they where surrounded. The bright side was Satoshi had just won the bet. The bad side, know they had to kill wolves. However it wasn't all bad hopefully it would be fun, but wolves this size would be a little bit of a problem to get the hang of seeing as Satoshi did a lot better close combat then ranged and if he let to many of them get close to him it was the possibility of him getting mauled. He then had an idea it might make the wolves a little more unpredictable but it would most likely give them the advantage.

"Tsuki if you can blind them by shooting your arrows in there eyes, or skull either one works." Satoshi then threw 2 kunai kunai each aimed at 2 wolves on the left side of him in an attempt to hit them while he was still in the tree making sure to keep his eyes open and stay alert. He then did a few quick hand seals and said "Enton: Spear of the Living" while channeling chakra into his right hand and creating a spear made out of Enton chakra. He now had his Kami-shin in his left hand and was holding his Enton spear in his right.
