Baisic Training Fields of Kumogakure

Post by TheGreatWarMage » Thu Oct 20, 2011 7:52 am

A general training grounds within Kumogakure. A forest surrounded the area, except for a small lake to the west. A man made lake that was only about 10 feet deep. The forest was thick with greenery surrounding most of the area. It was a slightly cloudy day, mist hanging low in the morning. It would stay that way for at least a few hours, it was very early, daylight just breaking about a half hour ago. She was the first one to the training fields. Three targets were always set up, facing towards the lake. A rock field was in the north, that broke behind the greenery of the forest to the east behind it. It was a traditional training field, perfect for all forms of training. For the most part.

The mountains in the background braking through the clouds in the distance to the east were quite a site, reflecting a mirror image in the small lake. Though they were hard to see at this time. Along with a few houses that reached up the mountain. Around 3 hours after daylight it would become partially visible, and two hours after that fully visible. The sun might come out for a hour at some point after midday, unless it was going to rain. About 3 hours after the sun would start to set behind the mountain. It would get dark within 2 hours from that point. The lights of the village would fill the distance, but the training grounds would be pitch black.

Sara was officially a ninja of Kumogakure now. Well, for a short time now but none the less one. She was waiting to receive a squad to join but she wanted to be prepared anyways for the future. For today's training she wanted to focus on a few fire jutsu first. They would be important in the short run at this point. As for Genjutsu, she would need something to use them on really, otherwise it would be...difficult to know the effects.

Sara woke up early today for her training. Usually she woke up an hour from then, but that was during the time in the Academy, now she made her own schedule. She had been getting up earlier the last week to train. It was usually best to be the first one to pick a plot of the training grounds, before they got to full. She was going to be spending most of the day training a few fire jutsu.

Fire CloneShow
* [Fire Element * Fire Clone]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user concentrates Katon chakra into the form of a clone. This clone looks identical to the user in every way. The clone can go up to a one hundred feet away from the user. Once destroyed by any weak attack, the clone quickly expands containing Katon chakra and fire, and will burn anything within five feet of the blast with first-degree burns.

The the last week, Sara had been training to do a number of jutsu, utilizing her fire element. She managed to get a number of them down. Not packed, but enough to perhaps utilize them in some manner, some more then others of course. She had been working on three jutsu, some simpler then others. The easiest one by far was a basic really.

The first jutsu she had been practicing was the clone technique she learned while in the academy, though with an added twist. Sara thought about how she could add in the fire element into the clone, to give it a little kick so when it was released or destroyed, instead of a cloud, perhaps it would release some fire element from it. It seemed extremely simple to her, but it didn't turn out so. Controlling it was proving to be somewhat difficult. A few times only a normal, everyday clone would appear, more often then she would like to admit. Though in a single day, with a small nap in the middle, she managed to get it down.

Her first few attempts where just normal clones. From time to time, one of them would give off a little smoke, another a flash of spark. It was getting to progress though. Around the 8th one, she managed to create an actual fire. Though it was disastrous. A split second after the clone was created, it exploded on her. It was almost instantaneously. If she had formed it any closer, she probably would have had to go to the hospital. But luckily she had some foresight to create it further away. The hair on her head got a little singed. And the force from the push, easily knocked her away to the ground a few feet away. Fire had gone out to 10 feet away in every direction. It was way to powerful to be of any use. She could have brought it in closer, perhaps it would make it a little more stable and easier, but it wasn't worth the risk. She didn't want to go home bald.

After the one that blew up, she took a break. She decided to take a small swim. Her skin did get a little fried from that one, so she was hurting a little. The cold water helped a lot, along with relaxing to gather a little bit of her chakra back. The clones didn't take to much of it away, her control wasn't that bad, but the fire ones did have some effect. She took about a half hour break in the water, then took a break on some grass. She placed her wet underclothing out in the sun to dry off, and wore her kimono on top, sitting under a tree. The kimono kept her quite warm, though she did feel a little naked under it. She wore it like a towel almost, some of her skin exposed. Though if anyone did happen by, they wouldn't really see much. She took the break for about another half hour, just looking into the sky, and the mountain in the distance. Watch a bird fly near by, seeming to inspect her, then fly off. A butterfly floating on the wind, the bright reds and yellows, colliding against the incisioned black borders of it's 2 inch wings. It landed on a few of the wild flowers that grew, taking off as a small gust of wind pushed against it. It would have been nice just to stay that way, but she wasn't there to just watch the scenery.

Sara rolled over and got up, walking over to her clothing picking it up and walking to the back of a bush nearby, changing back into the white underclothing. She placed her kimono back nicely onto the grass and went back into the sun, taking a deep breath. She would get it right this time. She made about another 5 clones, each grew in strength of the explosion caused. She had gotten the basics of the jutsu down pretty much, now she was just seeing how strong she could make it.

The basics were simple, the weaker the flame, the less energy and generally, the more like the normal clone it was, which wasn't what she wanted. But making it to strong, and it would prematurely explode. Something she didn't want again. So now she was looking for the middle. Something weakened enough to not explode until she wanted it to, and yet strong enough to do the most damage to at least be useful, even if hit by a sword.

Extinguishing FlamesShow
[Fire Element • Extinguishing Flames]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
A very easily overlooked jutsu. This jutsu is rather simple, putting your flames out. Sometimes, fire users can get a little rambunctious in their jutsu, and forget that the flames, can linger. Or even worse, grow. So this jutsu is to simple put them out, lessening the damage. After doing a special handseal, that is similar to the tiger, but with the palms further apart, the user only has to focus onto the flames they want to effect. The flames are destroyed quickly, leaving the spot smoldering and smoky for the remainder of what they were meant to burn for. A gust of wind can easily reignite the smoldering spots or fire jutsu coming to close.

This can be controlled greatly. Adding Wit and Control, the spot can be left to smolder for 1/2 the amount in turns added to what it was meant to burn at, or reduced by 1/10 turns. Reminder: This can only effect your own flames.
The clone seemed to settle around 5 feet or so explosion radius for the best results of control, distance, and damage. Any bigger and it might explode without her control. Sara had made a few mistakes, a few clones exploded after jumping in the air and landing hard, or traveling just outside of 60 feet from her. 60 feet wasn't bad, but she found that the weaker versions could go much further before exploding, enough to be worth the loss of a few inches. The 5 feet radius blast of fire clones were also the most stable, and less likely to just die out on her. She had pretty much gotten the clone set. Though from time to time, she made them a little weaker, or a little stronger. Her control was good, but not perfect.

She decided to try and use the technique, and create multiple clones. This is where she thought the technique would shine brightest. After all, the more clones, the more targets she could hit, and if all facing a single opponent, the more likely to score a hit, or even better, surround and score several hits. She created one clone, then a second, a third. Okay...a major weakness was apparent. Creating one clone at a time was a waste of time. Every time she had to make the handseals and then get the chakra just right. She would remember this of course, but that was for later. It took about 2 minuets to make the three clones. She was exhausted right now. She had used way to much energy. One of the clones just burst into flames. Her control was weakening, fatigue was setting in quickly. She had the other two move away then detonate.

Three spots, no four...five spots of flames now burned. Each of the spots were about 10 feet long. And they were spreading. She was breathing hard right now, barely able to stand up. In fact, she recalled having fallen to both of her knees. She was watching as the flames burned, and were moving onwards. It was past mid day, and it was pretty much empty right now. No one was around to put the flames out. The greenery was quickly vanishing. Perhaps....she should have been doing these jutsu on the rocky surface nearby. Not the brightest move on her part.

She was having trouble moving right now, and watched as the flames flickered, and slowly grew larger. She had gone a little overboard with her technique it seemed, and now was destroying the landscape. She needed to put the flames out, she wanted to put the flames out. She tried to get up but when she did, she just fell back down. She was overly exhausted right now. She did the tiger hand sign, and held it up. She looked at the fires burning and thought if she could use a fire jutsu to put them out, perhaps a strong instant one that would just collapse the flames, but she had nothing. Her vision blurred for a moment then went back. Some of the flames were to close as well, she needed to do something. She focused on them, thinking she could will them away. It seemed fortune was on her side. The fires started to flicker, and then became smaller, then smaller, then smoke was all that was left. She smiled then fell back onto her back, staring into the sky, as clouds started to move over the area, and fell asleep.

About two hours had passed since she fell asleep. Sara opened her eyes slowly, staring at a stalk of grass that was almost poking her in the eye. She rolled her face up to the sky and looked up. The sun was just starting to set behind the mountain. She pushed herself, and held her arms in place looking around. She remembers thinking what had happened. Then she remembered the flames from her clones were burning and somehow, she had put them out. Perhaps some control would need to be achieved before she tried further development of her flame jutsu. She pushed herself up onto her feet. She was still slightly tired. It was getting late. She decided to call it a day, get some dinner, as her stomach growled. She had skipped lunch, and had not eaten since before dawn. She was famished, but didn't have the energy to cook. She would pick something up on her way home. She was in the mood for...pork with..peanut sauce, vegetables, and rice.

Dragon Fire TechniqueShow
*[Fire Element • Dragon Fire Technique]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After binding an opponent with wire or another implement, the user will perform the needed hand seals. The user then draws in a deep breath before emitting it in the form of a line of flame guided along the wire or other implement. The bound target, more than likely unable to escape, will be subject to a conflagration of flame. If properly executed, this technique can prove to be devastating. The flames move along the wire with a maximum speed of 6, and can deal up to second-degree burns. The longest this can be held for is two posts, after which the opponent will more than likely be covered in the burns.
Unknowingly, Sara had actually trained two jutsu the day before. She had meant to train the next day, but overslept by quite a number of hours. She was exhausted from the day before, and apparently, her body told her she needed time to recover. She ended up not having enough time to train that day, and spent it just relaxing. She would have to make it up the next day. She had spent it shopping for supplies for living. She also checked to see if a squad was available for her to join, but so far nothing came up. She would just keep training till then. The day ended without any significance.

The 3rd day, she woke up after sunrise, to train. It seemed she was still slightly tired from the training from before. Today she would start with basic exercises, running, practicing her throwing skills, and a few of the other basic academy jutsus. A general check up to see if she was okay. She found it odd the way she had been acting. For the most part, she was fine in everything, but when she tried to walk on water with her chakra, she had fallen. Perhaps she was still tired. She decided to take the rest of the day off.

Sara spent the forth day practicing the clone technique again, and then to attempt to recreate the ability to remove the flames, extensively. If she was going to use fire jutsu, she thought it would be a good thing to know. After all, setting the scenery on fire wasn't something she sought to do. This time, she would practice doing the clones on the rocky surface. At least until she figured out how she removed the flames. The bad thing about working on the stone surface was, the pebbles and larger rocks. It hurt some to walk on them. Along with that, it was also hotter. Perhaps a funny thing for a fire user to say, but still...it was hotter, dryer.

She walked onto the field, the sun was out that day and she instantly felt the difference in temperatures with each step she took. She needed to get this over with quickly. She created a clone, then a second. Sara did more handseals, a third, forth. A reminder of something she needed to learn to do came again. Maybe later. She would have to remember that. She made another clone, the fifth. They all turned out extremely well. They marched out in diffrent directions staying in the stone area, seperated by 10 feet, and were 15 feet away from her. okay it was time. They all exploded at once, all that was left were 5 flames burning on the ground. Okay to make them go out. She concentrated. Nothing happened. Again concentrated. Nothing. What had she done to make the flames go out. She tried to remember what she had done, but she couldn't remember. She tried to remember back to what she had done. She wanted to...to...use a bigger flame to put them out. She did the tiger handseal. She concentrated on the flames and they slowly started to dim, until they were snuffed out. All that remained were some embers and smoke. She figured it out. But just as soon as she did, a gust of wind blew in, setting them on fire again. So it was a quick fix, not a permanent one. She put the flames out again, this time they stayed out, as the smoke vanished. She learned something about that, smoke was dependent on how big the fire was, and that they could be reignited. It was very important. She decided to take a break, and went into the grass and sat down, stairing into the mountain and sky. She ended up spending a while like that, just watching things go on. A few others came to train, and she watched them for a while. One of them even used an interesting technique. It involved wires, and fire. It looked amazing. She had to learn it, she waited until the training was done, then asked the one who did it how it was done.

On the fifth day, she wanted to practice a jutsu that quite famous jutsu. She understood why it was so hard to properly pull off in a battle. But if it did work out, it would more then likely defeat an opponent. She wanted to learn the jutsu, and see what it really did. She ventured to the training fields and started with basic training, and then tried to walk on the water. It all went very well. Now to start the training. The general idea of it seemed very very simple. Wrap wire around opponent, then set it aflame. It could be similar to mythical fire phoenix, though to set the flames after along the wire. It actually sounded easier. So it should be a breeze. She was sure it would be a breeze.

Sara walked onto the field, and now that she knew how to remove the flames, so she could practice it on the grass. She had everything she needed. Sara put her hand onto the gloves underneath. As she pulled her hands out, two shuriken with wire were now in her clutching hand. She tossed them, each going to the sides of a tree, then she utilized a jutsu she had learned before. It was a perfect fit for this jutsu. The shuriken suddenly changed direction, and flew towards each other, then back towards her. A tree had gotten in the way, and they were flung around the tree, wrapping around it over and over. She pulled the wire hard, and they stuck to the tree perfectly. The first part of the technique was completed.

Now for the next part. She grabbed onto the wires and placed them into her mouth. She did the hand seals she was shown and took in a deep breath. She breathed out...nothing happened. A slight hick up. She was used to having the flame go to her hands then to the item. She tried the jutsu again. She weaved the signs then breathed in deeply, then blew out. The flame ripped along the wire to the tree. She held the flames for a while then released. The truck of the tree was charring pretty well. She concentrated on the flames, held the dragon hand sign and the flames went out. It seemed like a successful use.

The rest of the time, she practiced with the three jutsu, testing the limitations and usefulness of them. She even found a crazed way to use the Dragon Fire technique. It would be a very useful jutsu when using in combination with her genjutsu. She was doing quite well she thought. But now she was going to find out if a squad was set up yet for her. She wanted to start doing some missions, along with getting a sensei. She was successful in learning those three techniques, but it would have been nice to get a little guidance, especially for the clone one.
