The weather was as it always was. Light cloud cover with little chance of rain, and 100% chance of raining missions. Jakuro would receive the mission via hawk, the aforementioned creature dropping the scroll into the boy's lap. The scroll would inform him that he had until nightfall, only about seven hours, to prep and head to the border where he would be escorting a caravan. He would be accompanied by Vera, who he had worked with in the past.

Jakuro was okay with doing this mission and enjoyed the thought of an easy escort mission with his new best friend Vera. As it was lately, they were always working and training together, becoming stronger and stronger with each other as he looked at her, reading the mission slip as he started to rush out to the caravan, looking at the man as he introduced himself first, bowing as he spoke, "My name is Jinrai, Jakuro and I am here to help you with this mission!"

His confidence grew once more as he checked his pocket for his Kikai Buki, Magic Melody, letting the feeling of it within his pocket reassure him that he was passing this mission for sure.

[Violet]

An easy mission for both me and Jakuro once more. I think after this we can start training to become super awesome chuunin.

Vera was indeed excited that she was becoming stronger and even happier that she was doing it with a friend. For once she did not need to flirt to impress another person and that person was the Sound Prince. They would quickly get through this mission as she looked over his shoulder, seeing the scroll and immediately knowing that this was going to be fun and require a good use of her Mind's Eye.

"I am the Disruption Princess, Ishiguro, Vera; and I will also be helping you!" she spoke with a smile, excited to want to complete this mission as well.

The two met without delay, and would have time to get to the border before nightfall. They might even be able to get there in time to set off before the light faded, allowing them some semblance of comfort and safety while they traveled. The day was still young for travel, but they had a long way to go.

[Jeff]

Time was going to be on their side and they would try to get this mission started before the nightfall struck. The daylight would give them perfection and a better chance in this mission as Jakuro looked back at Vera, pushing forward and toward the caravan. The border was a ways away, but the two both knew that together and with their combined strength they would be able to overcome anything and everything.

"Well Vera, we better hurry if we want to get over to that caravan and show them the power of Kumo's Royalty." a grin came from his lips as he ran through the countryside, knowing that they were growing closer and closer to the border.

Just a little bit longer.

Well this boy is certainly in a rush today. might be because his Chuunin exams are going to end up coming soon. Well both our exams but whatever, its exciting that we can do missions of this caliber and be as amazing as we are.

She was more confident than ever and the growing speed that they made in trying to cover the countryside was proving that they were determined to get this mission started by night time. With night time nearing, they would have low visual and only sensory to keep them on a steady pace through the mission.

"Ya, ya. I know lets just go then!" she spoke taking the lead and trying to outrun the boy until they hopefully reached the caravan and the start of their second C-rank together.

The journey was a simple one, void of too many turns and confusing routes. The two would be able to make it to the border without much difficulty. Their checkpoint was in sight, and so was the caravan of merchants. The group was rather large, but not terribly so, with many people from many previously different walks of life. As the two approached, they would first be met by the group's prevous guards, who seemed pretty strong. Both were men, and both wore armor.

"We need to see your orders before we turn the group over. Can't be too careful, right?"

[Jeff]

The caravan now in sight was a sign of relief for Jakuro as he let out a smile before walking up to one of the guards and holding the mission request form. It was his proof of them having to be there as he looked over at the Disruption Princess, nodding as if hoping that he wanted her to go and use her Mind's Eye technique. They both knew that an early go on sensory would keep them safe for a little bit.

"My name is Jinrai, Jakuro and we are here for the mission to take you back to the village."

[Violet]

Jakuro is always taking initiative but its time to show what I can do this time and protect this caravan. After all, this is going to be some steady pay for us." the Disruption Princess would start to think as she performed the hand seals to activate her own Mind's Eye technique. Being a sensor was always helpful to the pair and she was proud of it.

"Ishiguro, Vera." she would bow before introducing herself as well.

With her words spoken and her gesture given, the girl started to track the area around, hoping not to find any bad chakra signatures as of yet.

The order was proof that these two genin were here for the mission as one of the guards nodded and let them walk through, taking them toward the leader of the caravan pack. The man was tall, burly, and very hairy. Red hair was on his head and it seemed to look a bit scattered and messy as it would curl around his face toward a long red beard that went down toward his chest. His skin was pale but he let out a simple smile and his deep voice would bellow.

"Are you here to protect these people? Just lead the way and show us to your village and protect us please."

[Jeff]

Being let through the guards signified the start of this mission to its entirety as he looked over at the burly man with the red hair and the red beard. He most certainly looked like a caravan man and even better, it proved to the genin that this mission was legitimate and caution would be needed from both he and Vera for succession to occur.

"We will protect the caravan with our lives and ensure that you make it back to my country safely."

Jakuro's words were encouraging and he would use them, nodding to the man for him to start up the caravan as he looked at Vera. "I'm going to take the lead. You keep your Mind's Eye open and watch from the center Caravan."

[Violet]

The Disruption Princess already knew what her job was as she walked to the center of the entire caravan and continued to flood her chakra in all directions to track anyone who was trying to charge in one them.

"We will protect everyone!"

[Checkmate]

"Looks good." The one man said, returning to the caravan. Nothing had attacked yet, but for the moment that meant nothing. They were sure to have something attack them, though at the moment no one or nothing had.

The caravan was ready and eager to set off, but as they were beginning to leave, a massive cloud drifted in front of the once bright moon. The night darkened considerably to the point where the only person who could really see was Vera. This might be a problem. Would they continue on, or stay? Was venturing into the darkness worth it? Or should they stay and allow the merchants to be late? So many choices. So little time.

[Jeff]

The Sound Prince saw the clouds and the darkness that followed and knew that danger would be around every corner for them. Only Vera could really see what was going on and it would make everything more difficult for them. They could not fail this mission and with that the boy started to circle the caravan speaking.

"I need everyone to stay bunched up together. Please do this for us." he said with a smile as he looked up to the leader. "you can lead the way sir. Vera will snuff out any outside signatures." he would add.

[Violet]

The Disruption Princess was on the job in trying to locate anything that would be a burden or a danger for the mission. She knew that she was the only one able to see anything through the mist which meant that she had the biggest job for now.

I will make sure that this mission is a success. It will be just as perfect as I am she would think with happiness.

Completing this mission would let her and Jakuro go further into their ninja lives. It would also let them take the chuunin exams together, which is what she was hoping for the most.

The darkness covered the whole area, causing the people in the caravan to shift uneasily. They were not so sure about the ninja, and did not wish to die in this effort. They would have rathered stay put and wait out the night, but then they would be late. Their leader would not allow that. And so, they walked on into the night, stying close to each other out of fear more than anything. The animals were spooked, too, but the owners managed to keep them under control. For now.

Vera's mind's eye would not show anything abnormal for now, but who knew? Anything could happen.

Jakuro kept on his toes because he knew that anything could happen if he lost his cool. He kept his hands ready as well as kikai buki so that he would be able to stop anyone who tried to attack the caravan.

"Need to be strong. How is everything where you are at Vera?"

[Violet]

I just need to be on my toes and I cannot let Jakuro down on this task! This mission is on me and they need me to succeed!

Vera was listening to the words of her partner as she let out a smile, keeping her sensory going for the time being. She was determined to keep her range wide so that she could pass this mission and the two of them could take the Chuunin exams together. That was her goal and to her it was a goal worth keeping.

"So far so good!"

Then it happened. A blip on the radar. Someone was approaching, but not fast. In fact, the entity was rather slow moving, but it was powerful. Upon closer inspection, the sensing ninja might discover, if she looked closely at the chakra, that the offending presence looked almost like a suiton user, but different. This kind of technique would not have been seen before, and she seemed to already have chakra flowing around her. What would the two do?
