[Training] Test your might.

Post by Zasadel » Mon Jul 14, 2014 9:09 pm

Hayasu grunted and bellowed as he lifted a decent sized boulder, roughly two thirds his size. There was obviously no way he could pick it up further then a few inches, but he was definitely going to try. His voice boomed as he released, the boulder slamming into the dirt as he panted. Hayasu was covered in sweat, Kureiji lazily napping in a nearby tree. They were both deep in the mountains of Lightning country on a special training regiment designed by both himself and Hayate. He sat back panting quietly, the cold mountain air stinging his aching lungs. He raised an eye over at his friend, smirking as he picked up a small rock and tossed it above him to rattle the branches. Kureiji flipped out and fell out, causing Hayasu to laugh hysterically.

He smirked as Kureiji threw a tantrum. "You've been breaking all day, you need to train to if you ever hope to join the Great Monkey Sages." he said allowed, Kureiji grumbling to himself as he grudgingly agreed. Hayasu resumed what he was doing, looking at the massive pile of boulders. He took a swig of water from a small spring nearby, his little training area all to himself. Once he re-hydrated he moved back to the boulder. "Hrrghh..AAARGH!" he roared as he picked it up with all of his might, gaining more lift from it then before. He bellowed as he dropped it again, his back and shoulders burning. "Hrmph..Guess it's enough of that..." he said outloud, stretching out again. He turned and bolted towards the tree Kureiji was napping in, wrapping his legs over a branch and lowering himself upside down. "One..two...three..four..." he counted to himself, breathing hard as he worked on his core strength.

Almost a half an hour later, he was once more soaked in a layer of sweat, dripping out of every pore as he lifted all the way back up. "one hundred and ninety-nine...Two hundred!" he gasped out, releasing his weight and falling to the ground. His body was electrified in pain, yelping as blood rushed to his head and his muscles cramped. "YEOW!" he rumbled, stumbling to his knees. Kureiji, having been mimicking him darted over as fast as he could, hooing and whooping as he ran to grab a canteen. He brought it back over and offered it to Hayasu, whom graciously accepted. He chugged it down, his insides burning from strain as he laughed lightly. "Guess I pushed it hard that time huh?" he asked, giving Kureiji some as well and scratching behind his ears. "Thanks buddy. Lets get back to this pain in the ass schedule." he said softly, Kureiji whooping as they got back to it. Core was done, shoulders and back were started, now for legs!

He headed over to a boulder, similar sized as the one he was using for his back. The boulder was strapped and tied with two strong wooden planks, leather straps on the bottoms and carefully positioned to allow someone to lift it from underneath with his legs. He positioned himself correctly and planted his feet down. With a loud grunt, he pushed with everything his legs had, the boulder rising about a foot past its resting place, before he lowered it and began to do reps. "One...two..three.." he counted slowly, Kureiji darting up on top to sit on it as well. The monkey cheered him on as Hayasu kept focused, trying to beat his record of fifty. The sun was starting to go down at this point, but he never gave in. A few moments later he finished at sixty-two, setting it down with a growl and resting his muscles. "Geeze that was intense.." he huffed, slowly rising to his feet. He took off his training attire, consisting of slightly weighted clothing he bought in Kumo and slid into the spring.

Swimming over to the waterfall and slid underneath, shivering a little at the cold water. He rested his hands in his lap, similar to the Snake seal, but wasn't attempting to use any chakra. He sat under the crushing falls, his muscles and tension being pushed out while he endured. He grunted as Kureiji swam around the spring, quite tired from trying to keep his training up as well. Soon Hayasu crawled out of the waterfall area and headed for his small little hut, crafted as his first task of training. He hobbled inside and lay back among his things, Kureiji hopping around until he retreated into the rafter, a cozy little bed having been built. Loud snoring soon followed. "Lazy ass...Back to work in the morning.." he laughed out loud, before immediately passing out from pure exhaustion.

Dawn broke over the mountain range, beaming right into the hut. Hayasu's alarm went off, causing a loud yawn out of his lungs. "Damn..feels like I just fell asleep out.." he groaned lazily. He got up and streched a little, taking a swig of water before heading back into his grounds. His muscles were still quite warn, but he needed to keep pushing himself no matter how tired he got. He once more headed to his makeshift equipment, this time two smaller rocks that were quite dense. He lifted them with both hands and started to repetition them, crossing them in various poses to warm up his muscles. "One...two..three..." he counted, starting his routine all over again, but this time in a different set of muscles to not overexert himself. Who was he, crazy? He had already been slowly increasing the amount every day, the last thing he needed to do was injure himself alone in the mountains.

Once he set the makeshift dumb-bells down, he sprang forward into a handstand, lowering himself up and down as he kept his entire body balanced and aligned. He gritted his teeth and continued, refusing to give up. He felt a ton of extra weight around his legs until it rested on his heels, Kureiji yawning lazily as he observed the area. "You...jack....ass....get...off!" he grumbled, but not losing his focus. He hadn't messed up his training yet, and he wasn't going to let Kureiji be the first. After all, he had a dream to live up to, and he most certainly planned to get the strongest he could.

Hayasu breathed deeply as he focused on Kureiji, whom he entrusted a simple stick with. The goal? Keep the stick from Hayasu at all costs. The punishment? Harder, more intense training. The reward? If kept away, Kureiji got double his normal treats. Game on. He sprang forward at Kureiji, whom whooped and sprang in reaction. An epic duel of agility and speed was well underway. He darted from boulder to boulder, Hayasu hot on his tail as he grunted and dove around. Kureiji only had to last an hour and was allowed to be as lazy as he want. Something about the deal didn't seem nearly as favorable to Hayasu as it did to Kureiji. He growled as he dove forward, Kureiji barely managing to escape his range. He smacked lightly against the boulder, grunting as he jumped forward still in pursuit.

This scene kept up for quite some time, and as they approached the final stretch Hayasu had to think on what he was going to do. It wasn't that Kureiji was much faster then him, just his tiny size allowed him to much more agile. How to catch him? That was the question. He paused and quickly hid, waiting for Kureiji to get clueless..which didn't take long. As soon as he started to look around, Hayasu bolted from behind a small formation and dove on him. "GOTCHA!" he grinned, to which Kureiji flailed about and quickly admitted his defeat. He laughed and patted his head. "It's okay Kureiji, eventually you'll be faster then I." he mused before Kureiji hopped onto his head. He stretched again and raised an eye. "We need to improve even more. This won't do...any ideas?" he asked, to which Kureiji pointed and whooped at a rather tall, slightly inclined and warped pine approximately a hundred feet away.

He knew he could easily scale it with Chakra use, but it was speed he was after. He figured if he could run fast enough, he could run straight up the tree right? Well it was a good theory at least! He smirked and took a running stance. "Hop off Kureiji, I don't want to slow down!" he told him, to which he reluctingly jumped off his head. As soon as he was clear he bolted as fast and as hard as he could, sprinting toward the tree with all he had. As soon as he got close he leaped and attempted as best as he could without chakra use to run. He quickly took out a kunai and scratched as his momentum ran out, marking his initial spot before pushing off and flipping onto the ground. He only made it a measly ten feet up or so, but he figured in time it would go up. That was the point of training, to establish a goal, and get there.

Wanting to give it a few more attempts, he turned and bolted back to Kureiji, keeping his blood flowing and his muscles loose. He took position again and once more sprinted with everything he had. He hit the tree and leaped up as best as he could, scratching again, this time making it about an inch higher. This process repeated several times, each with about an inch at most above the last until he finally ran out of breath and stalled his progress. "Phew! That's a helluva workout..." he panted, Kureiji darting over with a small cloth to dampen with water before scurrying back over to offer it to his friend. He scratched Kureiji's head and laughed, patting himself down to cool off. "We aren't done yet are we? Sprinting is one thing, but we have to keep working on how to get faster." he added in, to which Kureiji applauded the idea. He hopped back up and took an overview of his grounds, surveying any way he could to help. He grinned as he came to a conclusion.

Once more, he took position, only this time, he had stones strapped to his legs. Eureka! If he was use to moving slower, the second the weights were gone, he'd grow progressively faster. He slowly took position, his legs much heavier and causing him to readjust his balance. He wobbled slowly and took a serious pose, counting in his head. Three. Two. One.

Hayasu bolted with all he had!...straight into the ground, face first. The howls of laugher from Kureiji echoed. A vein throbbed in his head. "Shaddup! This stone weighs more then you do!" he sneered. Kureiji was having none of that, and continued to roll around laughing. He ignored him and took pose again, this time steadying himself better. He couldn't run full speed obviously, that was something he should of realized before he started. He took a much more realistic pace and grunted, moving roughly a third of his speed.

He jogged back and forward, his ankles and legs already growing tired before he grunted and paused back at his starting line, having done a few back and forwards between himself and the tree. He was growing use to it, and although it wore his legs down much faster, he figured in time he would be more comfortable. Once again, he took the running pose and this time attempted to actually run. To his own surprise, he managed to get almost to a full run, between a jog and sprint, and headed straight for the tree. His legs burned from the added weight but he kept going, jumping as soon as he reached the tree. He couldn't climb it, but he marked as high as he could jump with them on, roughly a foot above his height.

After his marking he headed back slowly, panting and his ankles stinging. These seemed appropriate to start, and it was simple in his mind. The bigger the stones got, the stronger his leg muscles, and the faster he could get. All the could thing about was the burning desire to become a Chuunin once he got back to Kumogakure. He needed to catch up to his friend and Sensei, Hayate, and he would make damn sure he did...eventually. "Common little guy..thats enough today..lets get something to eat and rest." he told Kureiji, who murred and hopped up his master's body, taking his throne on his head.

[Training] Test your might.

Post by Zasadel » Tue Jul 15, 2014 8:37 am

Another day, another training regime, and another huge pain in Hayasu's ass. He yawned as his alarm boomed out into the cool mountain air, lazily rolling out of his makeshift bed inside his training hut. He had modified it to expand the space, adding a bigger resting area and a bed not on the floor. Once he got up, readied himself a little and washed up in the spring, he glanced around once more. The tree he had been working on running up for his speed training was coated in kunai cuts, and the many boulders that surrounded the area all had smears of blood, grime, and work about them. He had definitely put blood, sweat, and tears into this place..and had many more to give.

Hayasu headed for some more makeshift equipment, two small boulders tied tightly onto either side of a small reinforced log, similar to his leg workouts. This wasn't for just legs however, this was for his entire frame. He slid underneath the plank into a crouch, aligning it with his shoulder line. "Aaand LIFT!" he grunted, pushing up as the boulders lifted, his back flexing as it burdened the extra weight. He squatted into a crouch until the boulders almost set, before pushing back up to repeat the exercise. He began to sound off numbers, soon hitting pure focus as he kept his mind on the Chuunin exam. He had to get stronger, and if exercise was all it took, he wouldn't be defeated.

Kureiji wobbled out of their hut, yawning like the lazy monkey he was in the mornings. He half walked half slid over to Hayasu, who didn't notice due to the intensity of his warm up. He finished his normal set, adding about five more reps before setting them down with a grunt. "Ahh damn..." he panted at first, stretching as his muscles burned. "Luckily its nice and cool out here in the mornings." he chuckled glancing over to Kureiji. "Why don't we have a swim today? We can make something new out of it. Whaddya' say?" he grinned out, Kureiji jumping around excitedly and scampering over to the pool. A beautiful swan dive later, and Kureiji floated around the spring, much to Hayasu's amusement.

He disrobed and grabbed a couple of makeshift weight straps, having modied a few for his arms and legs. He strapped the stoned in and grunted, his lips adjusting to the added strain. He lightly jogged over, working his limb muscles until he hopped in the spring, the cool waters causing him to shiver a little. It wasn't long before he was about chest deep, and began to move his arms around into a small kata. He practiced a few miscellaneous Taijutsu moves he learned in the academy, letting his limbs flow, the stones dragging them behind. He gritted his teeth and continues, swaying around in the water, the added weight and movements causing his arms and legs to burn and ripple. Kureiji continued to float around, already snoozing.

After washing up and stretching his muscles around with the added weights, he had enough and got out of the water, immediately unstrapping them as they clunked to the ground. "Ow ow ow ow!" he said shaking his limps a little, muscles cramped up from the workout. "I guess I should of stretched better.." he mumbled, Kureiji having woke up after rolling over and going facefirst in the water. Hayasu laughed and took a small break from the workout, grabbing his water canteen and a bit of snacks he brought along to help him remember home. He wasn't too far from a smaller village, but Kumo seemed like an eternity away. He missed his folks, and his fellow shinobi, but he wouldn't let that keep him from growing stronger.

He stretched out again and resumed, his muscles having cooled a bit, but still throbbing in pain. He knew he was probably overworking himself, but he refused to baby his body, toughing it all out. Before he got back to his routines, Kureiji's ears perked, the little guy suddenly throwing into a frenzy and bolting up to Hayasu's head. "Whoa buddy, what is it?" he asked curious, listening. He heard a faint cry of something in distress. He immediately threw on his shinobi gear and bolted toward the noise.

He took position in the shadows of the sunrise, almost mid morning. It didn't offer much but shade, but it would have to do. In a small clearing, similar to his, he saw a couple of children clearly distressed. A small rock slide had happened, and apparently one of them had gotten caught. "SOMEONE HEEELP!" they cried out. Looks like it was Hayasu's time to play hero. He didn't see anything threatening about them, no village markings so he doubted they were Genin or Spies. He headed down the slope cautiously, sprinting over, Kureji barely clinging to his collar.

"Oi, move." Hayasu said calmly, the kid whom was pinned barely able to keep it together. The kids, bawling their eyes out backed up a little, shocked but not turning down a strangers help. The boulder that had the kid pinned wasn't huge, but it was nothing an ordinary child could lift, even as a team. He slid his arms around the boulder and readied himself. "Listen close, the second I lift this thing, you need to pull whoever it is out okay? Don't be afraid, I can only help if you help me though." he said collectively, showing that even Hayasu knew when it was time to be serious. They all nodded, wiping their tears. He breathed deep, muscles still sore, but he had no choice. He grunted and bellowed, lifting the boulder up. It was quite heavy, but not as big as he had been training with. "GO!" he yelled, as the kids pulled their friend free. He dropped the boulder with a huff, turning to examine the kid. Other then a possibly broken ankle, the boulder hadn't landed directly on him, which was good.

He quickly scooped the boy up and helped the children build a makeshift stretcher, using clothes and some wire he kept with his gear. He carefully lay the boy across it and nodded his approval. "Can you guys get back on your own? Do you have a camp nearby?" he asked, to which a thousand different words came out. He growled; "JUST POINT!" he said, as they all fumbly pointed to the East. He checked out a small merchants path down to what he assumed was to their parents. "You guys should be able to be fine with the lot of you. Don't wander so far out alone okay? Be safe." he said politely, as they all chimed in about how grateful they were. He tried to keep patient, his heart racing, and soon sent them on their way. Oh how reckless children could be..not that he was much better.

[Training] Test your might.

Deep in the mountains, it had been several years since Hayasu went into exile to train, and as he grew older his body grew ever stronger. Today was based all around stamina. He built the muscle strength to put them into peak condition. His speed had progressively better marked by the extremely high markings on the tree he had used, it would only make sense that he could strain himself and push his bodies limits too. He groaned at the thought, having taken the last week to simply rest his body, sleeping about twelve hours a night as he recooperated from the many scars, tears, and pure stress he put his body through. He didn't even feel like he rested but he had to keep going.

He hopped out of bed, Kureiji missing. "Hmmm..wonder where he went. Probably to forage." he said with a yawn, heading to his training camp. He went over to the many progressively bigger boulders and grabbed a medium sized one for him, one he could easily lift, but lifting wasn't the issue. "Lets do this!" he told himself, raising it over his head. He arched and aligned his back properly and slowly lifted the boulder up and down, as carefully as he could, counting the reps. After his legs started to grow stiff and he reached into the 30's, he held it against his chest and sprinted around. His breathing grew harsh as he pushed his stamina to it's limits, running from one side of the clearing to the other, over and over with the boulder to his chest.

About ten minutes of that and he dropped the stone, gasping for air as he fell over. His body went numb from the exertion, clearly having overdone it. "I...need...to...cool...off..." he panted out, slowly rolling to his feet and crawling over to the edge of the springs. He slid into it, clothes and all, immediate relief as the cool water washed over his skin. He floated around for a moment until he managed to catch his breath, standing in the water and gently dunking himself under it's sweet chills.

Hayasu pushed back above and looked around, Kureiji waddling out of the small forest near his camp, small knapsack fool of berries. "Oi! Good morning!" he called out to his monkey, grinning as Kureiji scampered excitedly to him. He dove onto Hayasu's shoulder, scratching the little monkey's head. "Good job buddy! What's for breakfast?" he grinned, opening the sack to find.....dirt. Immediate disappointment ran over his face as he tried to hide it. "L....Looks great. Nice." he said, trying to hide the sarcasm as he sighed. Kureiji slapped Hayasu and whooped, pointing. "There's nothing in here but dirt!" he argued, rubbing his cheek. He humored Kureiji and dug under, finding a couple of roots and even a pair of apples. He must of used the dirt to keep them cold and freshened. Not bad!

"I stand corrected." he said laughing, taking an apple out and washing it in the water. Kureiji whooped excitedly and took the other, doing the same before chowing down. He laughed again, finishing his breakfast before he went under the small waterfall. He grabbed a couple of his makeshift stone weights and strapped them, stretching a bit with them on before doing various flexibility poses. "Hrrrgh..." he grunted, muscles on fire. He kept hte pose and closed his eyes, meditating and listening to the sound of the crashing water around him.

About a half an hour of poses later, Hayasu slid from the waterfall, discarding the weights and heading back to his hut for another small break. "Hmm..how to push my fortitude up a bit more..." he pondered, leaning against the house. An idea struck him, and it turned out it was going to be a long night. "You may want to stay here on your own for a while Kureiji, this is going to take a bit." he told his pet, Kureiji waving him off as he nibbled on a root. Hayasu headed for the trees and immediately climbed to the top of one.

At it's peak, it overlooked the valley and mountains, making him immediately crouch. He got as comfortable as he could and sat, waiting, before jumping off. It was easy several dozen feet to the hard rock below, but what better way to push himself then the thought of death?

Immediately he grabbed a branch, his weight causing his arms to sting as they braced his weight, the branch crackling under it. He grunted before springing up, moving to the top. He would force his body to react, pushing his natural insticts of fight or flight. It was a cruel thing to do to himself, but no risk no reward. He climbed the tree and every time he got balanced, he would jump, letting himself fall farther and farther until he finally pushed a little to far. The moment his hand grasped the branch, they slipped, unable to do much more. "SHIT!" he called out, immediately trying to think of how to save himself. He remembered the wire in his pockets. He only had a few precious seconds. He flung them over a low branch and gripped hard, the wire cutting into his hands, blood pouring. They held tight enough to slow his fall, letting him swing until he jumped off, grunting as he tumbled into the ground. His hands were wrecked for the moment, now covered in grime. Nice going, dipshit. He thought to himself, immediately trying to stand. He was already pretty close to passing out, and this time almost killed him for his recklessness.

"Phew..." he said planting himself in front of his hut, pulling out some fabric to immediately do basic first aid to his wounds. That was going to be a huge set back, as he could use his hands, but he winced every time. The wires broke the skin, but luckily didn't slice them off, and wouldn't require more then basic care. If it hadn't been for the fact he grabbed one of the lower branches, he would of been screwed and lost his chance at being a shinobi forever. I guess that was it for Stamina training...or at least so people would think.

[Training] Test your might.

A few days of resting and babying his wounded hands, Hayasu grew bored of just sitting there. He wanted, no needed, to get back to training. He growled and sprang up, looking at Kureiji. "I don't know about you, but I can't just sit here." he grumbled before heading outside. He moved to one of the boulders and tried to force himself to pick it up, yelping in pain as his hands blatantly said, NOPE. He set it down immediately and sighed, looking around. How was he going to now? No grip strength..legs can't do everything...He turned his attention to Kureiji who came outside. The monkey was playing around with his own hands, trying to mimic hand seals. A thought of pure brilliance came across Hayasu, making his grin grow wide. Perfect.

He immediately did seals, which hurt a little, but was tolerable. "Raiton: Clone!" he announced, two clones appearing, lifeless. "You two...FIGHT TO THE DEATH!" he announced, the two clones turning and immediately trading a range of Taijutsu blows. They blocked, parried, and attempted to outdo each other. While they would be of no use like this in a fight, it was amusement to him. He dispursed them with Kai, feeling his chakra drain as a result. He raised an eye. This was going to be fun. He immediately formed the seals again, three clones appearing this time. "You three....chase Kureiji around!" he announced with a sadistic smirk. Kureiji froze, slowly turning to see four Hayasu's chasing at him. They weren't nearly fast enough to catch him, but oh was it hilarious to watch.

Kureiji scampered around, howling and whooping, various forms of monkey profanity echoing with a few new "hand seals". Hayasu snorted and laughed hysterically as Kureiji easily dodged and weaved between the clones as they smashed into objects and dissipated. Hayasu grunted as his chakra strained a bit more. but still had plenty to train with. Kureiji flailed and threw a tantrum, much to Hayasu's amusement. "Lets play...HIT THE MONKEY!" he called out, Kureiji stopping and growing wide eyed. Obviously he wouldn't hurt Kureiji, but messing with him was naturally his favorite past time, if that wasn't already apparent.

He formed more handseals; "Raiton: Bolt!" he said aloud, three lightning bolt shaped raiton chakra charges appearing. He manipulated one towards Kureiji, laughing as it slammed near him. Kureiji immediately flailed and moved to cover, peaking out with a hateful gaze. He threw another at the boulder for good measure, watching Kureiji duck back around and growing quiet. He had one more charge left, so he threw it at the boulder again for good measure, before repeating his clone jutsu. One clone popped up as he quietly whispered. "Sneak around and scare the crap out of him!" The clone lifelessly complied, running over to the rock and leaping onto the other side, Kureiji immediately screaming and taking off comically around the other side. He looked at Hayasu and growled whilst sprinting. Uh oh. Hayasu attempted to get up fast enough from his spot but to no avail. Kureiji leaped onto him and immediately started to smack the living shit out of him.

"OW! OKAY OKAY GEEZE!" Hayasu laughed, Kureiji biting and nomming on his head. Hayasu snickered and pinned him into his arms, tickling Kureiji who clearly was having none of it. He raised his monkey fist and planted it just infront of Hayasu's greatest weak point, as was such with any man. "NOOOOOO!" He called out as Kureiji punched right into his backup singers, causing him to fall over in pain. Kureiji huffed and walked away, satisfied with his version of monkey justice. Hayasu merely lay, frozen in pain, his poor manhood cradled and safe from any more assaults.

After about ten minutes Hayasu got up and waddled over to the boulder he had sat on, resting against it. Training wasn't done for the day, so he had to resume, despite the clear pain he was in. Pain was a great stamina trainer! But he didn't feel like punching himself in the balls again. He made a couple of clones and made them spar as well, before dispersing them a moment later. That was just plain dull now. He needed a new take on things! Hayasu needed to stay on course however, as stamina was the utmost important. He needed to be bale to outlast an opponent, and if he couldn't, what was the point?

He decided to practice a multitude of various Ninjutsu. Everything from Raiton Clones, to Basic clones, and even some of his own customized Jutsu. He settled on his final, Shock-arc Blast. He used a nearby tree as a target, the arcs of lightning piercing and jabbing into it, causing burn along the bark. He sighed at his jutsu. They just seemed so boring! Generic! Lame! He couldn't wait to get strong enough to do things like the Jounins did. Causing storms, huge beasts to appear, lighting valleys on fire. It just seemed so out of reach.

Exhausted for the day, he turned and slowly headed for his hut, the sun getting close to setting. He was pretty much depleted of all chakra, and had he had to fight anyone and actually use his abilities to his full effect, he would of possibly killed himself. Was there anything left he could do? All he really had was his legs..it would have to do. He stretched them a bit and then sprinted as hard as he could, seeking to do a lap around his camp at least a few times. He jogged, huffed, and soon was coated in sweat from being so drained, but pressed onward.

It wasn't much longer of that before he finally decided to call it quits for the night, heading for his stock of food to grab something to eat. His draw dropped as his supply was gone. Only one horrible, menacing creature would of done that. "KUREIJI!" he yelled out, birds flying away from the sudden noise. It appeared stamina training wasn't over yet after all, how long could Hayasu without eating?

Dawn broke over the horizon, shining into Hayasu's hut. His alarm went off as he slowly slid up, yawning and stretching. He had taken a month to rest his hands, body, and mind after the rigorous training he had put himself through. Today was the day he resumed. Groggily he got out of bed and started to dress. A few moments later he stood outside, staring into the growing sunrise and heading for the top of the waterfall spring. There sat a boulder in the middle of the river that flowed from the high mountains, to which he sat and went through every hand sign. "Monkey..Dragon..Rat...Bird..Snake..Ox...Dog..Horse..Tiger..Boar...Ram..Hare.." he chanted out loud, before settling on the Seal of Confrontation. He controlled and molded his chakra, letting it flow under his control as he breathed deep, body as relaxed as it could be for the time being.

Hayasu then sprang from the boulder, jumping into the air. "Raiton: Clone!" as two clones burst into air with him. They landed and immediately sat on each side of the spring. Hayasu sprang infront of them and made more seals. "Raiton: Bolt!" he chanted, as three bolts sprang to life. Two immediately hit his clones, causing them to burst and dissipate into Raiton chakra. He felt it hit his reserves, but his long training of exertion helped tremendously, and he knew by now he could do a lot more with his Ninjutsu then when he was last in Kumo. He couldn't wait to test his limit, and was more then eager in refreshing himself.

Immediately after, he decided it was a good enough for him to have control, and decided to make a basic run through of his abilities. He started by making a generic, regular, boring clone. Shortly after, he released it and began more. He transformed into various villagers he remembered from Kumo, before finally stopping to take a small breather. Next up was more physical orientated jutsu. He still needed to keep up with basics after all, but making sure he could control everything properly was also high on his list do to the way he trained himself.

Hayasu sprinted towards the waterfall and focused chakra to his feet, jumping onto it and quickly climbed all the way back to the top. He sprang off of it again before flashing more handsigns, poofing and switching with a boulder he had left ontop of a few others, switching with it as it crashed into the spring. So far so good, he was able to keep it going nicely and it fit into his training regime. Noticing Kureiji wasn't out of bed yet, he grinned and snuck into his hut, where Kureiji lay still passed out. "Raiton: Lightning Shock!" he whispered, his hands lightly crackling with electricity. He got as close as it could before poking Kureiji, who's hair immediately fluffed out and caused him to jolt awake and whoop. Kureiji turned and glared at Hayasu.

He laughed as Kureiji grumbled and went back to bed, clearly not amused with his prank. Poor Kureiji always had to put up with Hayasu, but Kureiji was often nearly as bad. Several times Hayasu had woken up with random animals in his bed, or bugs in his mouth from Kureiji getting a kick. It was always mutual, but he lost count on who was ahead. "Guess you aren't ready to get up yet? Oh well, eventually we need to teach you Ninjutsu." he shrugged after speaking, turning back around and heading outside to continue on his own. He had to keep his refresher course going, continuing with the Jutsu he knew best. He set up a bit farther from the hut and formed more hand seals. "Raiton: Detonate!" he chanted, as three compact charges spread out around him. He kept still and reactivated the technique with a hand seal, all three crackling loudly as they detonated and dissipated into the air and ground around him. It seemed that was still just fine, and didn't impact his chakra nearly as badly as it did when he first began to form it.

Not fast enough though, I need to get my hand seals to go even faster. If I get in a fight, I need to be able to get these done and ready. This goes especially for the Chuunin exam. He thought to himself, before running through the seals again as fast as he could. "Monkey..Dragon..Rat...Bird..Snake..Ox...Dog..Horse..Tiger..Boar...Ram..Hare..!" he chanted, over and over as he repeated them as quickly as he could. His facial expression tensed up every time he finished them in sequence, sweat pouring down his brow as he kept it forward. Once, twice, three, four times! His speed picked up dramatically as he refreshed his memory over and over again. "Monkey..Dragon..Rat...Bird..Snake..Ox...Dog..Horse..Tiger..Boar...Ram..Hare!" he growled again, still going until his hands grew numb. He cooled it a little, taking it slower as his hand muscles relaxed.

He had that down better then before, and continued it in between the many refresher jutsu's he used. The entire area was scorched with lightning marks, burns, and even Hayasu's hair stood up a bit more. Maybe he overdid it a little on raw Ninjutsu, and decided he needed to focus it a little bit better. He hit a few hand signs and channeled the Raiton in his body, forming it from limb to limb. It washed around his pressure points and tingled his nerves a little as he kept focus. His body calmed once he let it release normally, turning to grab a small piece if iron he found. He grinned and held it in his hand, channeling the Chakra again.

The iron piece cackled and sparked a little from being electrically charged. He threw it into the water and listened to a sizzle and pop as it flooded the water with a small wave of electricity. This lead him to a train of thoughts. He still very much wanted to be a respected shinobi, and especially a Raiton user as it was his villages most common affinity. He wanted to some day be ranked among the best, but he knew it would take a long time at this rate. Sighing, he went back to sit on one of the boulders and ran through the hand signs some more, this time keeping a steady pace instead of increasing speed.

Hayasu's chants filled the clearing, almost eerily as the sound of his voice echoed around and off of the stones that surrounded him. The crashing water boomed with it, making it almost a melody of harmonic chants and crashing symbols. The moment he heard it Hayasu stopped with a wide grin on his face. He figured out his way. He quickly moved into action and placed certain stones that were denser then others around him, setting them neatly before taking a bucket of water. He doused the stones in water and hopped back to his boulder. "Time to rock out!" he grinned as he formed multiple bolts from his Jutsu. "Raiton: Bolt!" he announced, mixing more and more of them in as he directed them to stones. Soon, a rather solid mixture of booms, sizzles, zaps, and shouting made a makeshift symphony. It was perfect!

Keeping it balanced, he migrated between creating bolts with his jutsu, hand symbols, and the beat of the sound waves. It was oddly soothing, but helped him exert his ninjutsu ability. Training was, for once, fun! It was getting quite taxing however, and soon he started to feel his Chakra getting close to the safety point. "And for the finale! Raiton: Shockarc Blast!" he grinned, blasting all of the stones with the arcs of lightning as they all boomed together. He fell back with a laugh, tired from all of his Chakra use. "And the crowd goes wiiiild!" he grinned, Kureiji having been apparently watching and whooping his approval at the end. "About time! But thank you for your appreciation, I'm here until...whenever." he laughed, Kureiji scurrying over and hopping ontop of him, sitting and staring.

Hayasu pet and scratched Kureiji's head, much to his delight as he relaxed and slowly closed his eyes to listen. It was nice listening to nature, the birds, the water crashing, the scurrying of animals, the fire crackling. Wait...fire? He immediately smelt burning wood and opened his eyes to his hut partially on fire. "WHAAAAT!" he bellowed, flailing around and grabing buckets of water. It appeared in his little performance that a pile of spare wood had caught ablaze from being dried out, and the wind blew it into his hut. Talk about luck!

Once the fire was put out, he couldn't help but laugh at himself. He always managed to get carried away, but that was how you learned in his opinion. One thing was for sure though, his Chakra supply was much better then it use to be. He grinned as he came to the realization that his training was definitely showing through, and the only thing he could look forward to was designing a much stronger jutsu now that he had the supply to fuel it. Hayasu could hardly contain his excitement as he went inside to prep dinner and rest easy, knowing he was well on his way to being a strong Shinobi.

[Training] Test your might.

Hayasu's gaze loomed over the valley he had called his home. For most of his young life, until the fully grown adult he was now, he had spent a considerable amount of time here in isolation. Always training. Always getting stronger. His gi fluttered a bit against the mountain winds, watching the sun's rays dance across the boreal forests before warming against his skin. Months he had spent at a time, preparing for missions and teaching himself everything necessary to do one thing; serve Kumogakure to the absolute best of his ability. Even as powerful as he had become, it was a longshot from his Raikage. His old sensei had truly become a man of power, of change. Hayasu admired this. With a crude smirk, Hayasu leaped to his feet and sprinted forward, jumping off of a cliff like the madman he was before slamming into the harsh terrain below. Without hesitation, he immediately grabbed a sizeable boulder, grunting a bit before lifting it into the air. He tossed it above him and flipped to his back, arching his legs up to catch it and beginning to gently lower it to him with his his legs, his hands pushed against the ground into a handstand-esque stance. "O-One....T-Two....T-Three..." Hayasu chanted methodically, keeping focused as he "warmed" up his legs for the long day of training ahead.

Around thirty minutes later, Hayasu grunted one final time before kicking the boulder off. "Five hundred!" He panted out, the boulder slamming next to him and indenting into the Earth. He wiped his brow a bit before stretching his muscles out, the blood rushing to his head having fogged up his vision. He shook it off and immediately resumed his workout. This time, he grabbed two makeshift dumbbells crudely made of chains and huge stones, lifting them expertly into various positions. His repetition chants could once again be heard, the sun starting to glare down at him from the treeline. At least it was still pleasantly cool outside, approximately 15 C and just right for one to work out comfortably. Once more, after a while, he tossed the dumbbells aside and shook his hands to regain feeling in them before flipping to a handstand. Carefully, he walked forward, pushing up and down into essentially a handstand pushup while walking on his hands.

A few moments later Hayasu reached the far side of his training ground. Once again, he flipped off his hands and immediately sprang onto his legs to take a stance. With a chuckle, he grunted and tightened his bandaged hands, throwing a punch straight into bedrock. His muscles tensed as he pounded away to practice his form, a barrage of punches slamming forward to begin drilling into the mountain. The grunts and shouts echoed into the mountain range, slow but steady progress making it's way until Hayasu's hands started to bleed from the cuts. A normal man's hands would be broken and worthless, but not Hayasu's. Years of this conditioning had made him almost like iron from the pure muscle. He decided it was a good time for break for his arms and walked toward a previously dug out cavern. Inside sat a few more interesting and probably deadly workout contraptions for Hayasu's use. He crouched and lowered himself over one, allowing a massive boulder to push against his back. Gritting his teeth, he started to squat and lower the boulder using his legs and back, angling it just right to prevent damaing himself. Bend with your knees!

Just over a hundred reps later, Hayasu gave out one more final cry before pushing it all the way back and quickly redoing his handiwork to keep the boulder locked in place. He fell over in exhaustion and wiped his brow clean, panting loudly as little whoops echoed into his makeshift workout room. Kureiji came darting over with a canteen of water, handing it to his friend. Hayasu eagerly gulped the fresh stream water down, a delighted sigh escaping his lips before handing it back to Kureiji. He grinned and scratched Kureiji's chin, the monkey whooping before skittering over in a blur to the makeshift hammock up in the rafters of the cavern. Immediately, he plopped down and flaked out, much to Hayasu's amusement.

At one point in time, Hayasu and Kureiji used to have fights ranging from down right comedy, to pure violence. But of recent years, between wars and dozens of major battles, the two had really learned to appreciate each other's company. They were forever a partnership and team. Hayasu never had a team of his own for long, usually only lasting a few weeks before his isolationist tendencies and specializations causing him to be deployed away from the usual set ups. The Raikage loved to task him with sieging camps, mapping dangerous terrain, or having him take on dangerous creatures. Hayasu had long since lost count on how many scrolls and personal requests he had received, but after all, Hayasu was the Raikage's only student to ever make it all the way. He survived training with the Apes. He survived training with Hayate. He survived the cruelest realities of life.

Having felt warmed up, Hayasu began to start pushing himself even harder. He tied a chain hardness around himself, adjusting appropriately before wrapping them around a set of boulders. One boulder connected to each limb, with the biggest tied to his core. This was to insure nothing remained untouched. While it wasn't recommended to work everything out at the same time, Hayasu had long sense gotten used to the fatigue and pain. He learned that pain only meant he was doing it right. With a heave, he began to walk, straining himself as he did his best to walk and attempt to do basic stances that every academy student learned during their first years. While it wasn't that he didn't know the basics, Hayasu always humbled himself with the philosophy that he was never too good to make sure he had them down. Even if he'd practiced them, taught them, and lived them thousands of times. These stances always had to be ingrained into muscle memory, as during the heat of battle, he didn't always have time to think about what he should do. Sometimes he simply had to react. It wasn't long before it was time for another cool down period. He undid his restraints and let them clatter to the floor, sitting a moment to rest and think about where he was in life.

It was almost a little surreal for Hayasu, having made it as far as he did. He had become semi famous among the village, the towering behemoth of a man having earned dozens of various nicknames from children and shinobi alike. He chuckled at the thought. The prankster had graduated to a mighty warrior. What a thought. He sprung up again and continued his workout, as daydreaming was only an excuse for so long. He took a look at the biggest boulder he had ever been able to find, having took a few helping hands from wild life to even move it there. To date, Hayasu had never been able to lift or move it on his own, at least more then a little bit at a time. It was his personal fitness mission to one day lift it. Something told him, should he ever manage to, he would truly join the greatest in the world when it came to strength. The boulder itself was extremely dense, probably integrated with various iron ores and minerals to explain it's ridiculous weight. It towered at almost twenty feet high by fifteen feet wide and oddly shaped. He had not found a way to successfully weigh it, but his educated guess was that it was somewhere in the realm of holy shit and no freaking way.

He slapped his hands together and positioned himself against it. With one mighty cry, he pushed as absolutely hard as he could. His muscles tensed and bulged enough to threaten his clothing from being ripped open, as he pushed with all his might. "Come...on...damn...you!" Hayasu roared, feeling the stone lightly give way and push about an inch. He slipped a bit and stopped, grinning as more beads of sweat poured down his head. He was getting there! And with the rate he had been going, it would only be a matter of time. He dreamed a bit of being Kumo's physically strongest man, ladies flocking to him, swooning and demanding autographs. What a ridiculous thought! Hayasu laughed out loud, grinning ever still. Maybe one day he could, but for now, it was back to training. It wasn't long before the sun had started to reach directly over the mountain, signaling his strength training needed to end. He contemplated a bath in his hot spring, but decided he needed to improve his stamina and endurance. After that it was simply agility and his training rotation was done, to be resumed the day after tomorrow permitting he wasn't summoned for his next mission.
