Requesting [We have received information regarding three captains in the samurai army. All three match the description of a man seen colluding with the enemy generals. There is a chance that they may compromise our forces. Your must promptly investigate all three men and then quietly make the guilty one disappear.]

From what the duo had been told, their C-Rank Mission into the Lightning Country and their efforts for the civil war would include finding a captain who was responsible for collusion. The only issue was three captains in total met the description of the samurai leader who had been seen colluding... So they had to figure out which man with silver armor, dark hair, brown eyes, and about 5'10" was the perp. Meaning that none of that would help them.

What would help the duo however was having all three men in one location, at one time. Lord Syaoran worked with Lord Hojo to arrange a fake 'banquet' in honor of the division in question's captains, in which the duo would be assigned as their body guards. At this current point in time, Pa, Pu, and Po, would be at an award dinner which had just the three of them and a few guards and other random people at the local provinces hall. Lord Hojo was said to be there, though this was a lie, and in the end they'd say his trip was cancelled for "security concerns."

Great way to lure some people into all being at the same place all at once, eh?

Sou was leaning against a pillar, arms folded across his chest and eyes closed, as he considered the mission ahead. Somehow he needed to squeeze three different general for information and try and figure out which one was the traitor before the end of a banquet. Seriously, with their names and almost identical appearances, he had to wonder if they were triplets. He had no clue how he was going to try and get information out of them; all he knew was that he had less than an hour before they were due to arrive. Which meant less than an hour to come up with some kind of plan.

Scratching the back of his head, he let out a soft sigh and turned to look at his partner for the mission. "Got any bright ideas?"

[Nafan~]

Senji looked sheepishly up at Sou, fiddling with the ends of his coattails to try and abate his nervousness. He had never thought he would be on a mission with Sou so soon, and was absolutely terrified of totally ruining the whole thing. Pressure settled heavily in his stomach to perform well for his senior, and show him that helping him train was not for naught after all. Unfortunately, he was fresh out of 'bright ideas' to give Sou, and no matter how hard he forced himself to think they weren't coming to mind any easier.

"Sorry, Sou-senpai, I can't think of anything in particular other than searching their baggage and rooms while they're at the party, and I'm sure you already thought of that..." Senji apologised, his voice heavy with disappointment in himself. To Senji this mission was off to a terrible start, both in terms of achieving his goal and impressing Sou.

"Maybe I could prepare things for when we're ready to get rid of the one that's the traitor? I'm quite good at preparations like that. Maybe if we do that, we could think of something to do about actually finding out which is which?" He suggested, hoping to redeem himself even just a little.

Sou sucked on his teeth and pinched the bridge of his nose before nodding and giving Senji a small smile. "Sure, let's do that." Sou had literally nothing to do until people actually started showing up. So he was forced to let Senji do his thing. Pushing off from the pillar he was leaning against, Sou tucked his hands into his pockets and jerked his head in the direction out of the alcove they were currently standing in. While they had been invited as guests and 'bodyguards' of Lord Hojo, there was no telling who was a spy for the enemy these days. Civil war was difficult; people had sympathies for their countrymen, even if they lived in different provinces and were on opposite sides of the fighting.

The sooner this traitor was dealt with, the sooner Sou could return to the relative sanity of Kumo.
