The Land of Lightning did not have as much plant-life as Hibana expected, but compared to the desert she had come to know while traveling with Airon, the land was still fertile with life. At least there were forests and waterfalls and animals that did not creep on the ground. A forest is where Hibana found herself now. After going back to the temple with their new acquaintance Chiaki, they decided they could both do some training. Airon, figured he would attend to some errands while they trained so it would just be her and the strange girl they met. As Hibana walked through the forest to the area they said they would meet, she took in the sounds and the environment. It was a bit more quiet than she anticipated, but she could still hear the soft chirping of the birds and the rustling of the trees swaying back and forth from the gentle breeze.
As she reached location there was a small lake nearby. Ripples made in the water from the aquatic life could be seen, the water was surprisingly clear here. Seeing such calm made her smile. She was excited to fight in a non life or death situation. Hibana's life ever since that fateful day, when she was rescued by Airon from the brothel she was forced to work in her entire life, has been filled with constant threat of death or capture. So between their visit to the dam, and now this friendly bout she looked forward to the continued downtime. But, that doesn't mean she didn't take this or her sparring partner serious. She could tell by the medical techniques she displayed the girl was a around Chuunin level, so she had some aptitude. How much aptitude though outside of treating patients, she would have to find out. These thoughts would swirl about in her mind as she sat down on a log and awaited Chiaki to reach the location as well.

Chiaki took off from the temple at her own pace, which was slower than most shinobi her age. Really, it was slower than most shinobi, period, but she wasn't in a big hurry to get to her destination, as she had plenty of time. She believed in being punctual, of course, but why rush something and pull a muscle, or trip over a stump and break your neck?
She jumped in a puddle, as one does when they find a puddle, and smirked as her reflection bent and broke in the cascade of ripples on the reflective surface. She moved through the forest to the aforementioned location, she listened to the birds, watched them as they flitted around, making their trilling calls echo throughout the expanse of nature. It was peaceful, and Chiaki was almost hesitant to go through with the training.
No, she wouldn't let that get in the way of her training, she had to get stronger, had to make sure that she was at tip-top shape for her mother, and the heart transplant. Nothing could stop that from happening, and that was why Chiaki had invited Hibana to do this training exercise in the first place.
Seeing the other ninja contemplating the lake that she was next to, more of a glorified pond to be honest, she lofted a hand and shouted a greeting, waving it as she caught the other kunoichi's attention and giving Hibana a bright smile. She had tied her hair back and was wearing more battle-appropriate clothing for her spar with Hibana. She owed the girl that. The weapon that she carried, though, was still the same pewter staff, but she was able to make it more durable, she hoped, with the coating of Raiton that she used.
Reaching her destination, she stood awkwardly for a moment, wondering if the other kunoichi was more experienced at sparring and the rules and guidelines for such. She had a friendly bout or two, but they were over so quickly in the past that she really didn't have time to contemplate guidelines or rules. This girl was more her speed though, so perhaps she could get her to set the guidelines so that they didn't end up hurting each other irreparably.

Hibana smiled as she saw Chiaki approach, blue hair blowing in the wind. The aisu ninja was starting to get excited now that her opponent arrived. She noticed Chiaki wearing something different than when they met before at the dam. It was a bit more...battle ready. Much different than the garb she wore...There was a different air about her too. Hibana was also dressed for battle. Her black jacket was set aside nearby on a rock, so she was sporting her gray high neck crop top with black cargo pants. Of course, her 90cm Odachi was strapped behind her back as well. She was definitely ready for this fight.
Cracking her neck from side to side she stood up and waved to the kumo-nin. "So, you ready to do this or what? I figure, we go ahead and keep this civil. We try not to kill each other and if one of us wants to stop we stop." She brushed off the bit of dirt that had accumulated on her pants. "Does that sound good to you? Since you're the one who invited me, you can start first." A bold statement, but she wanted to see what the girl was capable of. On top of that, she didn't want to reveal the fact that she was an Aisu unless she was forced to. For now, she would just stick with Suiton, Fuuton & Taijutsu. Luckily for her, she was able to rub some of the rust off during her time training alone in the Land of Wind. She readied herself into her taijutsu stance, left palm facing forward, running parallel with her left leg while her right arm guarded her core and her right leg stood perpendicular to her left. She steadied herself and took a breath, a wisp of white escaping as she exhaled. Ready, she gestured with her left hand for Chiaki to come at her.

Chiaki nodded as the rules were amenable to her, even if she found that they would most likely only apply to her. She didn't have any lethal jutsu, nor did she ever fight with malicious or violent intent.
"Ah, thank you." Chiaki put down her backpack and readjusted her kunai pouch on her leg, straightening up and making sure that her gi wasn't going to blow open in their fight and tying her hair back into a tight ponytail. "Since you're allowing me to go first, I suppose that I should do this." She wove two sets of hand seals and a lightning barrier erupted from her at full force, and coated her staff. She noted the sword on her opponent's back and nodded to her opponent as she slowly moved into range for her third set of hand seals, firing off three bursts of Raiton chakra at the girl in front of her, one to the immediate left, one to the right, and one at the girl's face as she closed the distance at the fastest she could go, which was laughable to say the least.
Her staff hummed in her hands as she swung low, aiming for the duck that she supposed would happen from the other girl. Even at full power, the shots and the swinging of her staff wouldn't do much damage, even if her jutsu were faster than she was, perhaps she could catch the girl off guard with her combo that almost had worked on the Raikage.
Almost, being the operative word.

The girl would start the fight by running straight at her. Though, she wasn't sure running was the definition she would use. From Hibana's perspective she was walking, fast. Hibana readied herself for whatever Chiaki had prepared. However, when Chiaki began weaving seals the aisu ninja realized that Chiaki, was quite a bit faster than even she was when it came to forming handseals. Realizing she was in trouble at whatever those handseals would unleash, she had to act. As soon as she saw the first set of handseals being formed, she already began forming her own handseals. And though she was slower, she was able to weave her one set of handseals before Chiaki could finish her third set of handseals and use her attack. She hadn't wanted to use a jutsu like this so soon, but clearly she underestimated what the young chuunin from Kumogakure was capable of.
With her also blocking any chance to duck, there was only one choice she had with this unexpected attack. About ten meters behind Chiaki was a large boulder, and that boulder would be perfectly placed for her next move. 'I guess it pays off to be early to have time to prepare for a fight instead of on time', she would think to herself. As the bursts of Raiton Chakra would make contact, Hibana would be replaced with the boulder. She would use the confusion from the seemingly perfect hit where her body once was and use her superior speed to quickly get cover behind the trunk of a large tree about ten more meters behind where the boulder once was. Hibana quietly sighed to herself...with her opponent using Raiton style chakra her Suiton & Fuuton would be practically useless here. She didn't like it, but she'd have to go all out and take this chuunin more serious if you she didn't want to be sitting in a bed paralyzed for the next day or two. She exhaled a cold icy white breathe and would do a set of handseals of her own. Suddenly a shell of icy blue hyouton chakra formed around her, as it did the air around her dropped to practically zero. This would make her completely silent, which would help set up her next move.
She formed several more handseals and as she molded her chakra, a puddle of water began to form in front of her, the liquid rising and solidifying into ice before mimicking her form until she was looking into the eyes of a perfect copy of herself. She unsheathed her odachi and handed it to her now perfect copy and nodded with a smile, which was promptly returned by her clone. From here she would send her clone out back onto the field of battle while she would use the distraction that would surely create, to move positions again. She was only able to move just barely faster than Chiaki, but with her being about 20 meters now from where Chiaki stood, and her movements being silenced she would surely have slipped beyond the medical-nin's perception. She would have her clone directly engage Chiaki in taijutsu. She figured with the surprise of engaging from behind and how much faster her clone would be than Chiaki it wouldn't be long before her clone was right on top of her opponent where her clone would attempt to send a slash across her back. Nothing deep, but enough to leave a nice cut along her shoulder blades.
If this attack somehow managed to be evaded or her clone be destroyed in some sort of superhuman feet of speed, the real Hibana would simultaneously form one final set of handseals, directing her hand right at Chiaki sending five ice senbons that formed with the moisture of the air at the young Chuunin. She hoped that with her still being concealed and silent, the girl wouldn't notice the direction of which the senbon came from.

"Shit, good use of the substitution jutsu-cha." Chiaki said, weaving more hand seals and knowing that the other ninja was around here somewhere. She looked around and caught the Aisu user dart out from behind the rock behind her and threw up her hands, catching the blade in her magnetic grasp and holding it just inches from her as she swung her staff at the supposed opponent, hopefully colliding with them. Her speed wasn't anything to sneeze at, but her taijutsu was rather poor. Still, even touching an opponent with her body, or her staff made her opponents lose sensation, sometimes paralyzing them so they couldn't fight anymore.
She smacked her staff against the clone, which was unable to hit her with its weapon since she had it in her magnetic grip, and was blindsided by five senbon, which rattled against her Raiton in an explosive cloud of mist and shards of ice. Chiaki was left with two senbon sticking out of her side and breathing heavily. She looked for the culprit of the jutsu and nodded to herself. She couldn't believe how fast hers and her opponent's jutsu were flying. It was insane!
Chiaki wove a couple hand seals and pressed a hand to her side which was bleeding and numbed the wound with a numbing jutsu, leaving her feeling strangely heavy on the side with the senbon sticking out, but still able to fight.
She wove another set of hand seals and shot off another couple of warning shots in the other Kunoichi's direction, again, two to the sides and one in the middle. She dropped her staff, her Raiton: Conductor passing to the blade that she had taken from the clone. She tucked it under her side on the un-damaged one and wove another couple of hand seals, hoping to catch the other kunoichi off-guard with the same trick, aiming for a rock directly behind Hibana to substitute with and then drew the blade and whipped it out, slashing in a 360 degree arc. She didn't have her armor anymore, but she hoped that this reckless attack might be able to pay off.
In a poof of smoke, Chiaki and the rock traded places and Chiaki swung with all her might [4] and all her speed [8] in a 360 degree spin, which made her tumble and fall to the ground, her own jutsu barely missing her wild swinging, rather useless attempt at taijutsu with a foreign blade.

Hibana wouldn't hold up at all as her clone was destroyed, realizing her cover was blown as soon as Chiaki looked in her direction she dropped her silencing ninjutsu and using her near superhuman speed she quickly closed the distance between her and Chiaki. 'This girl is really good, she managed to stop my clone's sword with some sort of jutsu.' She wouldn't have time to speculate further, and rather than debate chakra theory in her head she'd rather just attack. When Chiaki began her second set of handseals, Hibana would recognize the combination as the same one she did earlier, and as the chuunin would weave her signs, she proactively ducked under where the middle blast would be. Because she was focused on lowering her body to the ground, she wouldn't have time to see the same seals Hibana used earlier to substitute herself with the boulder. Though, once she looked up and saw the poof of smoke, she pivoted to her left to see Chiaki attempt a slow [4] moving horizonal 360 degree slash. Hibana was simply able to dodge by leaning backwards due to her superior speed [25]. And now it was her turn, being on the defensive, she had to turn this fight around but with this girl clearly being more proficient in her control of ninjutsu than her, she wasn't sure what she could do. But then she remembered a lesson Rose, her mentor, once taught her.

"Well, it's served me well so far. I mean, look at that arm of yours." Hibana would chuckle her retort with a smile. "Maybe now, but what are you going to do when you go against an opponent that can defend themselves against your ninjutsu? Or they get too close and you need to resort to Taijutsu? With how many surgeries you've been through over the years, your body isn't exactly a taijutsu machine. What will you do then, Hibana? Let another man take advantage of you?" Hibana shrugged and scratched her head and said with a smirk, "I guess, I'll learn stronger jutsu?" Suddenly a serious look would show across the face of Rose, and she quickly dashed over to Hibana and before the young aisu had time to react, she felt what had to have been a hammer hit her on the sides of her head as she nearly blacked out and her vision went blurry. She groggily took a few steps, almost as if she was drunk before falling over from the discombobulation. With slurred speech and ringing in her ears, she yelled out, "W-what the hell was t-that?!" Rose coldly said back to Hibana, "It's one of the things you're going to do when going against an opponent you can no longer beat ninjutsu to ninjutsu." Her expression quickly changed to the smiley cheerful Rose she new and loved. "There's a follow up, but I'll teach you that later." Rose offered a hand for Hibana to take, "Here, let me teach you how it works." [Flashback Ended]

She noticed that the girl was lighter than she expected, given her height. Hibana would have to adjust her next move and redirected her attention to the head of Chiaki who was a few inches taller than the Aisu-nin. In the next split second she reeled her arms back like a coil ready to release and in that same swift movement her arms sprang back like a cobra striking it's prey, sending her palms directly into the ears of the medical ninja with a strength of [10]. Assuming this was successful, her opponent would be bleeding from the ears, all she would hear was ringing and she'd have a hard time keeping her balance. She would take this advantage to begin her next attack. Hibana moved in and would attempt to hit her opponents face with two quick jabs from the left before throwing a hook from the right before twisting her body with the momentum from the right swing to face perpendicular with her opponent and delivering a side kick into the gut of Chiaki, attempting to send her back onto the ground that she just picked her up from. She lowered herself back into her taijutsu stance as a cold wisp of white breath escaped her mouth ready for anything. [502/400, Learned]

When Ice meets Lightning!
The first thing that Chiaki saw when she was lifted up was the look in her opponent's eyes, perhaps she had taken it too far, but she knew that she wasn't using any sort of lethal force with the other kunoichi. Chiaki attempted to fend off the blows that rained down on her, but her speed, her strength were just lacking. A flurry of blows later, and she was sent reeling backward, feeling the pain of the flurry all at once, rather than spread out. Her ears were ringing and she couldn't stand up, as her inner ear was carelessly pounded against, or perhaps carefully pounded against by the open palms of her opponent. She didn't even have time to react, much less cry out in pain as the flurry hit her. She saw it all in a blur that might as well have been a sped up tape of someone doing taijutsu moves. She didn't recognize the style, nor did she need to as she was hit by it all the same, and the blows were as inevitable as getting hit by raindrops, or to be more accurate hail-stones.

The blows to her face were superficial probably due to the fact that they had said that they weren't going to use lethal force on one another, one closed an eye with a bruise while the other collided with her cheek, cutting it open on her opponent's knuckle. The right hook caught her in the neck, which made her reel to try to defend that area with her opponents sword and the kick had sent her flying backward. Chiaki let go of the sword as she got propelled back 3 meters, a good distance for the weight that she was and left the sword at her opponent's feet. She remembered her training, the one at the academy that said that if you landed on your back, you're dead, and rolled over onto her stomach with the momentum of the kick, her legs pressed up against her chest as she held herself in the fetal position and vomited from her inner ear being ruptured, the kick in the solar plexus and the other damage she had sustained thus far from just the flurry of Taijutsu. Chiaki rolled forward, her knees digging into the soft ground as she retched again, this time, not vomiting but having a dry heave. So this was what it was like to get kicked in the gut. With her inferior strength, she wasn't able to tense the muscles and had sustained some internal injuries from the last kick.
Her hair came out of her pony tail as she retched, seeing the blood in it and knowing that there was some sort of tear in her stomach from the strength that her opponent had used. She was told in the academy, and as a genin, and again as a chuunin that if she took a direct flurry of blows, she was probably going to be out of the fight. This might be the end for her spar, she thought as her forehead rested on the wet ground in front of her and her hands clutched together against her stomach, where most of the pain was from the flurry as it was the place where she had been kicked. If it weren't for her endurance, that would have just ended the fight then and there, concussion, loss of consciousness, out. She knew that she was only saved by her endurance training with the other priests and priestesses, but that they put little value in strength and speed, as long as the techniques were perfect, it didn't matter if the speed was correct, or how strong you performed the techniques or rituals, it was only the precision that you performed them at.
All of this went through her mind in a flash as she grit her teeth.
She should have just stuck to the plan of using her defensive jutsu. Damnit. Thinking fast, as the world was spinning, she placed her forehead against the ground once more and attempted one more ploy, perhaps to save her from being beat again, but she had some distance from her opponent, who had kicked her backward, and allowed her to lay on the ground with her knees under her.
She wove another set of hand-seals, a hail-mary plan since her opponent was so close to her. Perhaps it would catch her in the jutsu, and perhaps not, but she gambled it all on her opponent not being able to see her hands through the mess of her hair, her forehead being placed against the ground, and her making the seals between her legs as she was doubled over in pain. She had this one chance and she didn't want to blow it on a stupid whim. she knew that she could beat this kunoichi in a fair spar, perhaps, but she only had this one trump card and then she would be spent.
If she was successful, a field of lightning would spread out from her instantaneously, 25 meters around her. She was beaten, but she wanted to prove that she wasn't worthless. She just wasn't.

Hibana found herself about 3 meter's from Chiaki, while holding her taijutsu stance she sat in contemplation. She didn't want to kill the girl, but she doubled over either in pain, or frustration because she was beaten. Either way, until the chuunin would admit defeat she would have to keep fighting. There was one more technique that she could try to end this fight, or at the very least stop her opponent from using ninjutsu. She'd have to close the gap even further though, and it would require beating up on an opponent that was seemingly defeated and someone she has come to like. Assassination target or hostile ninja who's trying to kill her? She wouldn't hesitate, but this was different.
'I can't think about that, time to finish this fight.' As the girl covered a distance of two meter's closer to Chiaki the ground suddenly grew bright with a flash. Suddenly lightning began to dance in a large radius around Hibana. As soon as the raiton style chakra would make contact with the Aisu-nin she would feel a sharp and fast pain and as quick as the pain was hit, it was followed by nothing. She quite literally couldn't feel her legs, which was instantly followed by the muscles loosening in her lower body so quickly that she no longer had control of them and therefore wasn't able to control her body as she flung forward and would fall directly onto Chiaki who probably wouldn't have had time to react in her weakened state and being very slow.
Hibana had a last ditch option herself, and while this wasn't her strongest move, it would certainly put Chiaki in the same position as herself, albeit in a lot more pain. And while Hibana would feel bad that she was about to do this, Chiaki brought this on herself, seemingly giving up and pulling a trick like this. Using her bone breaker style taijutsu once more she would aim for the exposed legs that Chiaki wasn't protecting in her fetal position due to performing the handseals for the ninjutsu and sent a strike directly into the calf of her opponent. Assuming this made contact, her soft fibula would snap and there's no way she would be able to continue the fight, atleast not while standing. Hibana, after delivering the strike, would fall directly onto her right side causing diffused paralysis in the entirety of the right side of her body.

"Alright, alright I give, you win-cha!" Chiaki was almost out of chakra, and let the one go on the ground as she rolled away from the other kunoichi, hissing in pain as she looked at her leg. The lower leg was completely broken, quite in half, and Chiaki was covered in mud, blood, and other unmentionables. She really didn't have time to say anything else. "Alright, it's broken, so I suppose that means that I am going to have to pull it back together-cha."
Hissing in pain, she pulled herself into a reclined position, her broken leg sitting at a 40 degree wrong angle on front of her as she whimpered and dug her fingers into the ground. What a blow! Hissing in pain, she pulled herself into a reclined position, her broken leg sitting at a 40 degree wrong angle on front of her as she whimpered and dug her fingers into the ground. What a blow! Although simple to explain, the *[Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique] requires both skill and patience in order to mend the fractured or broken bones of patients. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will begin to channel it through the area of the break or fracture. As this chakra makes contact with the bone, it will stimulate the calcium production of the body and begin to mend the bone. To mend small-to-medium breaks, it takes one (1) post of concentration, while fractures are usually very quick to mend. Multiple breaks can be mended during the use of this technique as it lasts for a total of five (5) posts or until canceled. Users should beware that, like other regenerations of this kind, the nutrient stores of the patient's body are being depleted during its use, and too many uses of this technique in a short span of time can cause serious damage.

When Ice meets Lightning!
Hibana half smiled, not because she was rude, but because half of her body was completely paralyzed. She probably could of dodged the technique, but Hibana had been feeling cocky and was caught off guard. Chiaki was certainly better than Hibana would give her credit for! She was impressed, and happy to have the chance to spar with her. Through slurred speech, akin to someone suffering from a stroke from the paralysis she responded "I'm sowy I b-bwoke your l-leg."
Laying on her side, she couldn't really move, the fight was technically over. She looked at Chiaki, "H-hey, fanks for the f-fight. I w-wanna do it again soon." She wanted to know more about this girl but for now, she was exhausted and before she could say anything again, promptly fell asleep. Being here with Chiaki, was the most comfortable she's been with anyone outside of Airon in a long time. And for her, that meant everything.
