The man walked in the tall grass, looking around. The brown knapsack hanging on his back clicked, as the contents within knocked up against each other. He had finally reach the top of the hill. Placing a hand above his eyes, he glared in the direction of the village. Perfect. It was around 5 or 6 miles away. It'd take him another 2 or 3 hours if he continued at his current pace. He'd arrive at night fall.

It would go perfectly. perfectly, he'd hand over Konoha's secret, a secret he had already mastered. And then become an allied member of the greatest village in the world. He'd become the strongest, rise to Tsuchikage, and conquer the world.

No one would stop him.
No one.

The long grass parted as Otome sped towards her supposed target. Tracking him hadn't been easy, and she could only be semi-sure of his location. None-the-less, her keen eye and capabilities as a spy would easily have this chase over soon, presuming everything went her way. With the ANBU mask fitted perfectly over her face, her movements became robotic - almost purely based on instinct; trained eyes and ears picking up some of the smallest movements in the area.

Soon, the young Fukoroku came upon a large hill; steep; impressively so. It was an indication Iwagakure was drawing close. The secluded village wasn't fond of strangers, and strange ninja warranted a hostile reaction. Skilled as she was, there was very little chance of Otome escaping unscathed were the village ninja to spot her. The thing needed to end soon.

Having made her way to the top of the hill, Otome became aware of the man’s presence. She squinted at him, trying to ascertain the whereabouts of the scroll. Although she was completely unaware of the scroll’s contents, she knew it must be something quite important for an ANBU member to be sent out after a single, slightly crazy-looking man.

Still, a cunning plan was required.

She formed a single seal, and soon, her body was veiled in a plume of smoke. As the obscuring smoke cleared, a young girl, dressed much in the way a southern belle would, with a bright red dress and pink parasol. Her face was fair, her hair brown and silky. She quickly approached the man. “’scuse me, sir? ‘ah do believe ah’m lost. Could ya’ help little ‘ol me?” She giggled and batted her long, black eyelashes expertly. Her now-brown eyes were flicking from point to point on the man’s body.

After establishing the scroll wasn’t visible, she turned her attention to his backpack.

Gunjin, as his name was, was about to take a step, as he had finished his mental rant. Of course, this little southern belle had to come in and stop him. He turned around, a fist clenched, looking at girl. Younger women weren't exactly Gunjin's style, the 34 year old man looked at her with a weird sort of look. Reaching into his backpack, pulling out a little toy unicorn.

"What. Why would I help you? I've got business to handle!", he retorted at her, practically snarling with his words. Gunjin didn't really look like the nicest of fellows though. His ragged shirt had several holes in it, and his pants were spotted with various messes that had failed to come out. His over-all appearance didn't point to the damsel in distress rescuer.

He looked her up and down and scoffed. "Don't waste my time, or I'll have to kill you, little girl.", though he wasn't quite sure how old this belle was. She was obviously at least 10 years away from him. No way. Not happening. Perfect for calling her a little girl though.

He knelt down and placed the small unicorn on the ground. Looking up at the girl before standing back up.

Batting her eyelashes in one final, futile attempt, Otome mentally recoiled at the man's obvious inability to take care of himself. If she'd had a better veiwing spot before, she probably wouldn't have made such an obvious mistake. In any case, she had thrown herself in at the deep end. Now, all she had to do was swim.

When he removed the small unicorn doll from his backpack, Otome took a small step back. She wasn't sure exactly how this man fought, nor how insane he truly was; caution was required. Being a safe enough distance from the small toy, Otome, still a southern belle in the crazy guy's eyes, decided to question him on his strange toy. "'scuse me, mister? Wha's that?" she indicated the unicorn with the flourish of her wrist.

Maintaining the chakra for a Henge was easy, even for those with little stamina. However, Otome's concentration was starting to slip; although, this was an intentional slip. She lowered her head. Having removed her ANBU mask during the Henge technique's activation, her face would be fully visible once the Henge was deactivated. At that moment, her concentration slipped ever so slightly, reverting her eyes and the area around them to their original state. Her face was obscured by the still-henged hair that flopped down over it. As soon as he had answered her question, she intended to attempt to capture him in a Genjutsu. Then again, things never really went the way they were supposed to, just in case, she kept both her mind and body primed, in case he begun to run or her Genjutsu failed.

Gunjin stared at his southern company, his eyes flaming with passion. She didn't seem to be a threat, but he had labled her as a foe. A death here or there, it was a given when dominating the world. Who would notice if this little girl just vanished off the face of the earth? No one, that's who. Damn straight they wouldn't. He was gonna conquer the world anyways, what would they do if he did get caught? Shoot him? Bah! He had nothing to worry about. A simple casualty.

As he pulled himself back to his feet, looking at her still. He reached into his bag and pulled out a little hawk this time. "What will it do? Don't you wish you could ever get to find out.", he clasped his fist around the hawk, before jumping back and throwing it as far into the air as he could. 'Yatai no Jutsu', he thought, the little toy bird disappearing completely from sight, from being thrown so high.

He looked back at the unicorn, then at the girl. "So will you die? Or get out the way?"

Yatai no Jutsu
A technique used on the small models. If he embeds his chakra into them, then activates this jutsu, they can remain suspended in the air until he activates the models. If they are already activated this jutsu is useless.

Otome raised her head slightly, her face still hidden from view. He’d been treatening her from the beginning, but now it was getting annoying. Such arrogance, he was more than self-assured or confident, he was truly the kind of man who needed a firm, harsh, gritty lesson on how things, or more importantly, people worked. The charade had gone on long enough; tracking him from the shadows was now an improbability, while coaxing information from him was a moot point to begin with, it seemed.

"So will you die? Or get out the way?"

“Will ‘ah die?” Her lips curled upwards, out of view, into a smile of sorts. “ah’m not sure.” She shuffled backwards a bit, keeping their proxemics as tight as she could while not arousing suspicion. If she flung herself forwards or backwards at this point, his strange toys would be given an opening... whatever they did; explode, grow, shrink, release poison, she probably wouldn’t be able to counter while moving at a high speed. So, it was time to face up to the traitor.

“Why don’t you tell me?”

Lifing her head rapidly, she attempted to draw the man’s gaze towards her eyes, specifically the right, now bearing no resemblance to the ones owned by the southern belle. Her hands clasped and reformed into a fast series of seals. Otome uttered, under her breath...

S-Ranked Genjutsu
A technique developed by Otome to coincide with the strange colour of her right eye. When people see her without her ANBU mask, they tend to stare for a while at her right eye. The same goes for ninja who see her remove her mask. If they make contact with her right eye for any space of time, she can activate this powerful Genjutsu with a few short seals. The target will feel as though a bright light has burst forth from the eye, causing a searing pain in their own eyes, blinding them with a purple light. This searing sensation will spread outwards from their eyes, making them believe their skin itself is being vaporized. While the victim will feel as though they’re screaming in pain, their screams are actually all in their head. None of the pain is real, but it’s very disabling, and if the target can’t match Otome’s wit or Genjutsu skill, they’re probably going to be in a lot of pain for three of their posts.

The man listened to her annoying little accent and sighed. What a pain in the ass she was. Breaking the some-what eye contact he had with her, he knelt down again, forming a series of hand seals rather slowly. When suddenly her voice changed, he sighed. Shit. She was actually a semi-threat. Someone "dangerous". Haha. Not really.

Slamming his hand on the unicorn, it began to grow, separating the two of them from seeing each other. What luck. He would have been screwed if he hadn't done that. The unicorn began rubbing its hooves against the ground as if it was going to charge. And Gunjin sighed, cracking his neck. "So....you picked death huh?",he asked with a little giggle. Jumping backwards several feet, he pulled out two more little figured.

He landed, setting them on the ground in a little hurry. "Well. Go on. Fight the unicorn.", he said as he adjusted the two figured he withdrew.

Otome cringed as her Genjutsu was rendered useless, not by his skill as a Ninja, but by a mixture of luck and a lacking attention span. It was annoying to see a plan go to waste, and she was already two down. Not only was the element of surprise now pretty much lost, but she couldn’t even retreat and form a new strategy! Now she had a giant Unicorn to deal with!

“A giant Unicorn?”

Yes, it was a giant Unicorn. So, this was the power of this crazy man? Perhaps it was also a power the scroll described? Why would those who assigned the missions have failed to mention his ability to create giant mythical creatures!? She would have to give them a stern talking-to once she made it home. Or... If she made it home.

"Well. Go on. Fight the unicorn."

Her brow furrowed. How dare he give her suggestions!? Oooh, this man was truly infuriation the young ANBU, and she’d had just enough crazy melodrama for one day. But, she had to hand it to him; he was right about her having to fight the Unicorn...

Or was he?

Stepping backwards slightly and pushing her hand into her belt-mounted pouch, Otome removed a pre-set Kunai and Exploding Tag combo, and essential ninja tool. Also clasped in her hand were three more Kunai, none of which sported an exploding tag. Throwing this hand forwards rapidly, she released her deadly barrage towards the Unicorn, which was seemingly ready to charge. Her first attack released, Otome pushed herself forwards, reaching a high speed in a moment or two. She attempted to move passed the Unicorn in order to directly combat the puppeteer... or, whatever he was. Her Genjutsu prowess certainly wouldn’t work on the Unicorn, but it would work wonders on the crazy man. As she approached she performed a few hand seals, ending with the serpent seal, and uttered the name of her chosen technique so quietly that he wouldn’t have heard it had he tried.

*Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu [Demonic Illusion • Hell Viewing Technique]
C-Ranked Genjutsu
Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion
