Tough as...Rock?

*Ninpou • Ishi Kobushi [Ninja Arts • Stone Fists]
Rank: D
Ishi Kobushi is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Hidden Rock Ninja. By channeling chakra into their fists, the Hidden Rock Ninja can harden them, making them as solid as a rock. This makes their punches very hard and powerful; physical attacks on the hand become reduced in damage.

Sitting on the ground in the middle of a barren wasteland was a young boy, his face partly covered by the forehead protectot he wore around his neck, his navy blue gi fluttering behind him as the wind blew against him. He stood out in the blank scene and lifeless background being a figure covered in black and Navy blue while all else was dim and less vivid. A mix of beige and black could be seen all around with the odd spot of green from the plants. The dark trees and multiple forms of rock that were the only source of color and looking at them for extended periods of time made life pretty boring. Random rocks jutted out from the ground in odd diagnol patterns which made them seem pretty artificial and it was obivous though it was a wasteland most of these rocks have been moved or forced from the earth. Being able to simply focus in this area was pretty easy and training here was probably easier than one would expect. The lack of living things, except the occasional lizard, made it easy to clear your mind and lessened the chance of your eyes falling onto a random object. Though this ninja loved those things he was easily distracted and excepted that this rocky valley was the easiest place to focus on any jutsu he was willing to learn.

The dust slowly lifted off the ground and blew past him as he meditated and redirected his chakra flow into his hands. A light blue coating was now covering his hands which where pressed against his chest in a ram hand seal. The boy made no sound, though the sound of rushing chakra could be heard faintly, it resembled the sound of the wind rushing through a small area like a battle or crack in a wall. Going through his mind was an image of fresh bread slowly becoming stale and that was basically what he was doing with his hands, but stale wasn't good enough. Ancient fossilized bread appeared floating through his head and as he thought about the bread his stomach rumbled. He had to change his thoughts, dancing girls. That could be a great thing to change too, but unfortunately the ancient grey piece of bread was now in a skirt, had lipstick on and was posing in all sorts of ways with it's new grey arms and legs. The pink dress matched it's pink gloves and shoes and the moment it bent over to kiss him, Nat's eyes bursted open. "No more training on an empty stomach..." he whispered to himself as he fell backwards and stared into the sky. Focusing was always an issue of his, he never could focus for long periods of times at once, but he managed to be a taijutsu user with many basic techniques. The next step was to expand. Increase his basic abilities with techniques such as these that harden his fist, increase his speed or even disable opponents. Right now he needed to regain his focus and get back into his training.

Leaning onto his back and kicking up as hard as he could Nat managed to easily bring himself onto his feet in a crouching position. Standing back up to his full height he couldn’t help but realize a figure off in the distance, it wasn’t moving or coming towards him it just kind of sat there. Unmoving and tough it was a rock, though it was pretty dark for a rock and stood out a little more than he did in the beige environment. Approaching it at a slow pace Nat was simply curious as to why he never noticed it before, he slowly got to it and simply stared at the rock. Punching it with all his might the rock did even shake a bit and instead sent a sharp pain up Nat’s arm. Wincing in pain after the hit Nat held his arm back away from the stone; it was really sturdy for some reason and it was a lot tougher than the rocks he trained on before. Sending a surge of chakra through his fist Nat pulled his fist back and slammed it into the rock again, and once again there was nothing. ”Damn...I need to calm down, be steady, sturdy tough and unmoving like a rock.” Nat let every thought in his mind fade away into nothing, leaving a blank space where his mind once was. With sudden determination and focus Nat placed on hand gently on the rock and pulled the other back his eyes closed while he focused. The rock obviously thought and felt nothing, if he could manage to be like that, for even a second he could get this jutsu.

All the chakra surging through his body meant nothing if he couldn’t control it, lessening the chakra in his hands he focused more onto what he wanted done then trying to simply use a large amount to break the rock. After a few seconds of focusing he felt his hands stiffen and become more solid than before, with a burst of strength and speed Nat slammed his fist into the rock again. This time the rock had a slight vibration fly through it and Nat felt almost nothing on his hands. Smiling a wide smile he unleashed a series of quick jabs and hooks on the rock and felt little to nothing as he hit the rock. ”Finally, i’ve done it. I can finally use the stone fist technique!” Nat shouted victoriously. As he jumped up and down with a rather large smile his feet slowly began to weaken and as he stopped he fell to the ground asleep, but victorious.
