Mission: LolPoachers

The border town of ______ was densely under-populated, serving only the purpose of allowing Iwagakure know of any incoming attacks. Still, these citizens were under Iwa's protection, and there was simply too much of an insult in common poachers taking up residence and running the town.

Right now, at about mid day, the poachers were busy in a local bar they'd made into their headquarters. The beer was free, the people weren't allowed in, and there was plenty of room to keep the animals locked in cages.

Sitting at a table sipping sake and enjoying a game of "Watch Me", the poachers had hit the jack pot. A weak little town with no shinobi to defend it, and Iwagakure could care less about this insignificant spec of a town. At least, that was the idea.

Yosomono walked into the town with a very unhappy look on his face. He wasn't in a good mood, at all. These poachers had taken Hitosarai.

Idiots.

He looked around from building to building, until finally spotting the bar that was said to have been made their headquarters. Walking up to the door, he unsheathed his sword, and kicked in the door.

"There is a bird you guys took.

I want it back.

Now.", he said as if venom was dripping off his teeth,

The men sat about their table, finishing their hand and briefly glancing up towards the intruder. There were four of them, and one of them was even a B-Rank missing-nin. They had this covered. They stood silently, the three as the one continued to sit about, quietly sipping his sake. He was an older man, reaching into his 40's with the tired, old eyes of someone who'd seen battle far too many times.

They were a glazed over blue, with splotches of gray here and there. His face had brown spots on a lightly tan skin, and he was dressed in a simple manner; black slacks with a white shirt tucked into them; a black jacket draping over his shoulders. He seemed to hide no kunai or ninja tools; he just whistled. Distantly, a cougar's growl could be heard.

"You really wanna deal with us, partne'?"

When the man spoke, Yosmono's eyes immediately locked onto his. Yosomono in general was a very lax looking guy. Even when he was stiffened up from his rage, and had his sword in hand, he didn't look all that intimidating. There was a sort of glow about him that screamed "easy-going".

"I am Yosomono, the Crane Sentinel, and you have my crane. Maybe you should be asking yourselves the same thing.", he growled.

[Ein]

The old man seemed to scoff, spitting out a thick wad of brown saliva and chewing tobacco. He would fish into his pocket, producing a fresh wad, and began chewing. He would stand there, eying the boy, chewing his tobacco. Yeah, they had a fight on their hands. Smiling, the old poacher would hold up his hands in something resembling defeat, before kicking up the table in a swift motion, letting it fly towards the shinobi suddenly. Snapping his fingers, a cougar would leap out of the back room, it's fur mangled and it's eyes expressing a sick, twisted treatment.

Whistling, the cougar would glance towards Yosomono, before pouncing onto him.

As the man seemingly gave in, Yosomono eyed him closely. And even if he hadn't, his Veil would have gone off as the table was kicked towards him. There was a light whistle as the sword slashed, and his other hand followed, slashing it against causing the table to split around him.

He glared at the man until the cougar revealed itself, at which point Yosomono simply sighed. Why did everything had to be so complex. Again, even if he hadn't been paying attention, with the veil, and his speed, Yosomono was plenty fast enough to disembowel that beastie, but he had no reason to hurt it. So he simply took a quick movement about 3 meters to the right, facing off against the cougar.

How to disengage it without killing it. Tricky tricky.

The old man would continue chewing, nodding towards the other men. Each one of them would brandish a blade, encircling Yosomono as the cougar came face to face with it's prey. This would be a slow ballad; the men would encircle and continue to move around Yosomono in perfect order as the cougar continued to growl and await the order to attack.

The wait was possibly the worse part; a man would sidle by Yosomono's back, blade in hand, and do nothing, sidling along as the cougar simply growled, anticipating attack. For the longest time, nothing seemed to happen.

Then, in a blur, one man would feint towards Yosomono from his side, as another would take a stab towards his neck. Even if these attacks should fail, all would back up and ready their blades to defend. To attack one of them would mean to invite a mosh pit and a flurry of claws and blades.

He wasn't going to attack, no, he couldn't. He had gotten himself stuck in this situation and well hey, lets face it, all these men + a cougar wasn't a good situation. Thankfully, his veil was still up, and as the man feinted at him, he immediately assumed his third stance. His hand went up, the sword switching at it to defend. The instant the stab was defended, the sword switched again, and stabbed through the mans stomach.

"Again. Hand over the Crane."

Third Stance: Immediate Defense.
C-rank Stance
A more complicated stance based around a non-existent defense, while attacking with one hand, the alternate had will constantly be set in a position for defense. If an attack occurs, the sword can instantly switch to the other hand to defend the attack.

Open Hand Seal
B-rank Fuuinjutsu
This is a simple fuuinjutsu that is on both of Yosomono’s palms. Anything that is in contact with the seal that weighs less than 15 pounds can be instantly switched to the other seal. If both seals have contents touching them, then the contents are switched.

Veil of Knowledge
A-rank Ninjutsu
A passive ninjutsu that is constantly active, this is a semi-vital part of the Open Palm style that protects the user from ambush. Yosomono cannot “turn off” this ability, and isn’t actually aware that he even uses it. It takes almost no chakra to sustain. The user is constantly surrounded by a extremely thin veil of chakra that has a one-time use on any human. It alerts the user of any ambush attacks, or traps, that the user is not already aware of. This does not work on long range attacks from a foe the user already knows is there. But does work on long range attacks from a foe the user is not aware of.

The world stood still as Yosomono defended against an attack he shouldn't have been able to; and how his sword instantly switched from one palm to the next. The men might have run away had they been of a lesser caliber, of newer flesh. No, in response to this, the remaining four men would all simultaneously thrust at Yosomono with their blades, the cougar now encircling the vicious wheel.

From his sides and his back, all the men would attack and hopefully get one or two hits in on the Shinobi. While they were stabbing, most aimed for something of a flesh wound; impaling his shoulder, stabbing at his back, or maybe slashing a deep gash into his arm. In such situations, the slightest movement could determine where a blade struck.

Whatever happened to Yosomono in the 15 years of his life he had no recollection of, there was without a doubt moments like this he was glad it happened. The veil of chakra flashed alert as all four attacked.

Side step. Switch hands. Block. Switch, Jab at stomach. Duck. Slice upwards. Slash across stomach. Switch. Step. Stab through shoulder

As he thought each action, his body acted, doing each motion with perfection. He faced the cougar. He wasn't allowed to take his eyes off of it. His veil was now of no use on anyone in the room. Each of them had used it.

It was all on Yosomono, now.

Two of the three would be impaled, as the others managed to feint off and hold off Yosomono's swift attacks. The three would stumble back, falling onto their behinds as their swords cluttered from their hands. The older man with the battle-worn eyes sighed and rubbed his closed eyes with his thumb and forefinger.

"OI!" A muffled scream could be heard. For an instant, it rung loud and clear. Then, all to clearly, the ceiling of the bar would collapse around the old man. The debris seemed to be cautious of his position as it fell around, not on top of him. Two figures would leap to his side, standing erect and glancing towards Yosomono with something resembling indifference. The shorter of the three looked to be in her mid 'teens, while the taller seemed like he was about Yosomono's age.

"Oi," the girl said with a grimace and pointing towards Yosomono, "you been the punk that's been screwing with my beauty sleep! And--what?!" As she saw the bloody corpse of one of the men and the other twitching one, she'd glance towards the old man. The old man nodded.

"You LET him?!"

In a patient voice, the old man responded, "Boys wanted ta prove 'emselves."

Clutching at her hair and shutting her eyes, the girl would be revealed to have ruffled red hair and hazel eyes, her skin a healthy, almost beautiful tan. She wore . . . an ANBU uniform with it's clear white pads and deep dark fabric. "How could you let him kill them?! This is just--UGH!"

The older man sighed, crossing his arms over his abdomen before glancing towards the younger man. He hadn't said much, and he didn't look like much; dark hair and dark eyes, pale skin, and an outfit of a red shirt and khaki shorts that opened up at the knees. The two exchanged wordless dialogue before the young man nodded. He would step forward and glance towards the girl, who seemed to shut up with her complaining. She'd pout, cross her arms under her breasts, and walk forward with the young man. The young man would meet Yosomono's gaze with eyes that reflected no desire to fight.

"You want to leave . . . or, no . . . I guess that's a stupid question . . . what I mean to say, is . . . well . . . ." As the young man tried to word what he meant, the younger girl would let out a frustrated sigh.

"What he means to say," the fiery youth exclaimed as she would glance towards Yosomono, "is GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!"

The other young man would nod with a small smile. It was easier for her to say things; at least, she had the bigger mouth.

As the roof collapsed around them, Yosomono made a quick movement. His body seemed to be on an axle as he moved through the air, landing on top of a chunk of roof as it slammed into the ground, shaking his body a little.

He looked around for the cougar, who wasn't in sight. So with a cautious glance, he focused on the group before him. "Give me my damn crane and I'll be on my merry way.", he said, clearly very frustrated.
