Mission: Cursed Zoo?

[Ace Trainer]

The large fenced in area was loud with animals barking, yelping, roaring, and moaning. They were all excited by all the people taking a look at them. But none of the animals were as excited as the young boy who was running about frantically, shouting and pointing at every animal he saw. Finally, he stopped, rose a brow, and inquired, [i\"Where did that shinobi go?"[/i], you were on the clock.

Hana managed to jump down from a small building, all ninja-like in front of the boy. Bending over, she extended wht she had in her arms to the boy. It was a white paper box with a red bow around it. She spoke with a faint smile to the boy, "We're going to have fun today, aren't we?" as the lid opened up by itself revealing 4 cinnamon/blueberry cupcakes with tear-drop sprinkles. She made sure that he was able to get at which one he wanted and would let him finish one before she asked him, "What does a strong-looking boy like you want to look at first?"

The little boy looked at the cupcakes, cautious, and reached for one, biting into it once. Twice. Three times. Then spitting anything in his mouth out, and throwing the cupcake into the crowd. 'Ew! Gross! Phooey! you're trying to kill me with gross sweets!", he kept running his hands across his mouth, clearly disgusted.

It took about 5 minutes for him to get over the entire cupcake fiasco, but he finally gave it up, and looked around the zoo. He pointed to the elephant and took off in a run, shouting, Elephants! Elephants!

It's okay to kill this kid, right?

Hana had a 'what just happened' kind of look on her face. She had een the boy nearly devour and entire cupcake and then decide it was possibly the worse thing in the world. Obviously, the child had some sort of mental defect that didn't allow him to decide whether he liked something or not. She slowly lumbered behind him, making a single hand seal to compact the paper box and then throwing it in the trash.

The boy had run up ahead, so Hana jogged after him. The young Genin would position herself just beside him, knowing that he would get as close to the elephants as possible. She wanted to make sure that he didn't try jumping or climbing through any railings, so she put her arms spread out in front of him on the railing, just as to keep him safe but no irritate him into thinking she was worried he might himself. Hana watched the elephants play with each other, picking up water in their trunks and splashing it all over each other in delight.

Hana turned her head to the boy and asked, "What do you like about animals?"

The boy leaned over the railing as far as he could, clearly wanting to go into the exhibit. He seemed to be completely oblivious to the fact that she was next to him, because when she spoke, he panicked, nearly falling over the railing had her arm not stopped him.

"Horns! Horns! Like those!", he said pointing to the elphants tusk.

[Ninnanna]

After she spoke, Hana was glad that she was diligant enough to get slightly in front of him. When he said 'horns', it jumped right out at her. She turned around to face him instead of the elephant enclosure, putting her arms spread out on the railing behind her. "Well, these guys have big tusks, but they aren't really horns, like a demon's. What other kind of animal do you like that has real horns?" she asked as she keep her full attention on the litle boy and what he was doing or what he might be thinking.

He looked at her, clearly upset by the fact that she had basically just told him he was wrong, and that certainly wasn't going to fly. His entire body dropped in composure, and he sighed, turning around, "Fiiiiiiine", but once he took his first step in the oter direction, he took off in a run. Weaving through the crowds to get to the other side of the elephant enclosure. His intent was clear.

He wantedt to get close.

Dammit! she thought as the boy took off through the crowd. Hana thought that since she was in front of the enclosure that it was enough to keep the kid from misbehaving. Instead, he was going for the opposite end. Hana raced into crowd, but he was making much more headwa due to his small size and his carelessness. She didn't think she could get all of the way through, so she decided to head back and climb up the elephat railing. Hopefully, no one would get mad at her. Still, she leaped off of the railing towards the crowd. Before she got close to hitting anyone in the crowd, she let off a burst of chakra from her feet to propel her to a safe place closer to where the little rascal was going.

Hana took off towards him, "Come back here, please! I won't make you eat any more cupcakes ..."

He grabbed the railing, tossed his body over, and tumbled into the grass. Running towards the elephant, shouting in excitement. The elephants noticed this, of course, and all turned to look at him. The largest, clearly male, elephant threw its trunk into the air, and charged forward, announcing its charge.

The boy clearly didn't understand, because he continued forward.

Hana had literally moments before it was to late. With as much force as she could muster, she hopped up onto the railing, sliding down the inside portioning of it and bounding off of it in the direction of the boy. She landed in a barrel roll and managed to spring up back on her feet. While in the next moment as she closed in on the boy, she slid her hand forcefully into the pouch containing her white paper with her right hand and held her left up to her chest. Before she lunged herself towards the boy, Hana threw the pieces of paper in the elephants general direction. Sidestepping to her right, she launched her entire body quickly at the child, using her weight and speed to grab him into her right arm. With her feet positioned perpendicular to the elephant's charging path, she let off another burst of chakra from her feet to propel herself in a safe direction. She also had the right-mindedness to yell out "Chirasu!" while making her seal to scatter the paper in front of the elephant.

Landing hopefully with the boy, she grudgingly stated, "Okay, it's time for a new exhibit."

By channeling chakra into her feet and releasing it in a short burst in the middle of a jump, Hana is able to, "jump again", increasing the range and height of their leaps. They can also use this to change direction in mid-air.

When she grabbed him, the boy was in total shock, and began fighting against her once she had stopped moving. Struggling with all his might to get out of her grasp. "Freeeee meee!!!", he screamed, finally biting her arm.

"Ahhh!" she yelled as the boy bit down hard on her arm. She droppd him carefully on the ground, rubbing her arm. It wasn't hat she was mad, but she was hurt emotionally and physically after just saving the boys' life. Hana just stood there, keeping a watching eye on the elephant to make sure that the two didn't get near each other.

Once she let go, the boy took off in a run, again. This time in the opposite direction, towards, lord help us all, the Rhinos. He was shouting excitedly as he went. Hana was clearly doing something wrong in her quest to appease the boy and get him to behave. Maybe there was a key to success with him?

Hana sighed as the little boy started running off, trying to get out of the elephant pen while they were both still in it. He was excitedly fixed on looking at some other exhibit a distance aways. The genin slowly walked in his direction as she pondered about her circumstances. There had to some sort of key to succeeding at getting this boy to focus, she thought to herself as she strolled through the previously hostile environment. She'd still need to keep an eye on the boy while trying to get him to calm down. This young boy was quite a handful; he might be a very skilled ninja, a bit undisciplined, if he went into the Academy.

Her thoughts shifted over to getting him more towards some less-violent animals. As she was climbing over the wall, she thought that she would need to start by telling him that he couldn't jump into any exhibit he felt like. Doing this might upset him, but she needed to do it soon. Her stride quickened as she forced march to keep up with the young troublemaker.

The rhino was the same case as the elephants, he stood at the railing, leaning over as far as he could, oohing and aahing at the mammal. Now was your chance, he seemed pretty calm. You just had to talk to him. Right?

[Ninnanna]

Hana slowly slinked up to him, still rubbing her arm where he bit her. This little boy was proving to be a handful, but Hana put the blame on herself seeing that there had to be a way for peace in this situation. The genin stood beside the boy looking at the rhinos walking around almost without purpose. A few of them snorted at each other, making some sort of communication that would only be understood by creatures of the same mindset and temperment.

Leaning on the handrail like others around here were doing, Hana pointed out to one of the bigger male rhinos. "Is that the kind of horn you like? The big, bulky, slow and blunt kind?" she asked the little boy with a smirk on her face. "Is that a kind of ninja you'd want to be someday?"

The rhino she was pointing at snorted and turned it's head. It was ashamed that people were pointing at how fat he was. That rhino had a low self-esteem.

when she brought up what type of ninja he wanted to be, he looked at her in disgust. A ninja? Hah. Yeah RIGHT. He turned back to look at the rhinos, "Ninja? Gross. I wanna be like pops. I wanna be rich, and have businesses and do all sorts of poppa stuff. Just like him. 'Cause he's great. Definitely.", the little boy said with a grin. So much passion in the eyes of a 6 year old.

[Ninnanna]

Hana was beginning to gain more insight into the young squirt. She had an idea so she thought that she'd go for it. "Well, if you wanted to start a business, Rhinos are pretty cool but they don't have any retail value. You'd need to buy an animal that provided you something extra in addition to it just being there," she rambled on, hoping he would pick up on what she was trying to say. "Like a food-stuff or hair. It'll also need to be small and easy to keep. Can you think of anything like that?"

[Ace Trainer]

The boy looked at her confused, not completely understanding what she was saying. "....what?", he asked. It seemed she had gotten on his good side, he was calm now. All she had to do was convince him to buy an animal and the mission would be over.

[Ninnanna]

Hopefully the little boy was acting politely because she was actually getting through to him. She shuffled up beside him and tried to explain herself to him. "Well, if you want something that has market value, then you'll need an animal that can give you more bang for less buck," she was explaining to them as they observed the rhinos, "so something that can give you food, clothing and even drink. Would you be interested in seeing an animal lke that? It might even have horns ..."

[Ace Trainer]

The boy looked at her completely perplexed before finally saying, "I don't care about clothes, no no! I want a rhino!", he exclaimed, now jumping and pointing at the Rhino excitedly.
