Noboru. What was once of loving city is now a ghost town. No person in sight. However, faint coughs were heard from the houses, so it was completely deserted. Everyone got sick at the same time a few days ago. Right around the same time two men suddenly vanished. Their home was left wide open, compared to other houses. Where to start.

"So it says here that this town has been attacked with some sort of cold, or head cold." Raiden said to his sister who snatched the paper from his hands and started to read it as well. The mission seemed a bit strange for the both of them as the decided that they would have to be careful to not get infected themselves as they ran up towards the town that they were supposed to meet up at.

"Why is this place so deserted?" the girl asked with a puzzled look.
"I have no idea.." the boy mumbled back to his sister as she just let out a long sigh.

It was a bit creepy walking into the town as it would appear that no one was there as they followed the direction to the building that was supposed to have the two people that would help them accomplish their mission.

"Yo anyone here?" Raiden shouted out into the building as he walked inside, his sister feeling a bit scared as she activated her Mind's Eye.

There wasn't a person. It was actually a cat. It heard Raiden's voice and dashed towards the door, not expecting him to be there. It saw Raiden and quickly took off between his legs. Nothing else was there. However, the table the cat was under previously had some paper with writing on it.

"This letter is for anyone who finds it. My brother and I knew this city would be attacked. And we knew the enemy would infect us. We took off after the crooks to try and stop them. If you are reading this, then we were either captured or killed. Point being: we didn't return. We are at the nearby mountain. In a cave about 3 stories up. There's no path, so you'll have to climb. Good luck, travelers."

Raiden heard the sounds of some movement as it came closer and closer to him. He looked down to see a cat as it ran past him and underneath him as he scratched his head a bit, walking into the house as he spotted a piece of paper with writing all over it. Ran on the other hand was freaking out a bit as it was like a horror film or something of the sort as goose bumps traveled up and down her skin.

"Alright, well this paper says we need to go over towards the mountai!" the boy mumbled with a bit of discontent as he walked out the door, his sister following him as they sprinted on over towards the mountain, ready to enter and do the mission that they were really supposed to.

"So lets get up there." Ran stated as she took of, Raiden making a sigh as he did the same as they sprinted up the first story or so.

(Sorry for the delay. But I have time now)

As the twins reached the mountain, the first thing they would notice when they begin to climb is blood. Smeared and splattered all around them. The battle was long and hard fought to be so much blood around. The mountain was high, but the note was accurate. There was an opening three stories up. All the traps seem to have been tripped already, so the climb up should be safe.

Horrid looks struck the twins as Ran activated her Mind's Eye, scanning for anyone that would be around that c ould try and harm them. As she was doing so the twins scaled the mountain, sprinting since they wouldn't be able to climb it to quickly, which also helped them know how long they could scale a mountain.

"Let's hurry and get to this top, there is to much blood here." Raiden shouted as his sister nodded. They both sprinted up as they reached the cave opening.

"we are here to help!" Ran shouted into the cavern entrance.

The twins would find that the cave was somewhat empty. Nothing was visible from the entrance, meaning they would have to go deeper into the darker parts. Further down, there was a man chained to the wall. He heard Ran shout and picked his head up slowly. Blood went down the left side of his face with a few cuts around his chest. He took a deep breath and called out as best as he could. "Over here," he said, sounding a bit raspy.

Looking into the cave, the twins noticed a darkness that emit from it, showing that it had extended out into the distance. "Well Ran, I think we should.." he started to say to his sister as the sound of a person came from a wall, which the boy quickly saw and ran on over towards in a hurry.

"What happened?" the girl asked in a bit of a rush.

The man coughed loudly for a moment before answering. "Thank you for coming." he said weakly. "I thought that we handle them ourselves. We never expected what was really going on." The man coughed once more for a long time. "Please." he said. "You have to get out of here. You're no match for them right now. They've gotten too many.The virus is spreading. Soon it will..."

The man once again began coughing, but this time he didn't stop. He coughed more and more, and as he did so his skin started to pale. Light specks of foam began dripping from his uncovered mouth before finally his head dropped in a slump. The man appeared all to still for a long moment, before his breath start to come again, only much more irregularly. He slowly lifted his head, but his eyes were now completely white.

"Run."

As soon as his whipser was finished the man start to jerk against his chains. His attempts were weak, but he continued trying, his head moving closer towards the two twins. He moaned loudly, the sound echoing through the cave. Outside in the distance a chorus of moans seemed to echo him right back.

The strange cries from the man gave both twins a bit of a scare as they backed away, Ran grabbing a hold of her bow and an arrow as the man started to twitch and foam of the mouth. It was indeed the most disturbing that they had both seen as they started to walk toward the entrance once more, knowing that a bit of trouble was headed their way as Raiden took of a small glove and a match as he lit the match, burning the glove as he tossed it into the dark cavern, hopefully revealing what was inside of it.

"Get ready Ran!" Raiden said with a whisper as his sister nodded, holding her bow up as she pointed it at the dark cavern.

They both had to get through the cold headed people and find the duo, most likely at the back of the cave without hurting anyone, while in the end, curing everyone.

The burning glove lit the cave, revealing a sea of sickly faces, each one staring with the same white eyes. For a moment they were quite before a loud moan rocked through the cavern. The people marched forward, slow...extremely slow...but still moving. At first it looked like they were going to attack the duo, but instead they all...gathered around the burning glove. They stared for a long moment at the glove, crowding around it, and completely ignoring the duo. The twins didn't seem to be in any dager...for the moment. However the swarm of people were completely blocking the way into the deeper portion of the cave. Behind the duo, mouns range out, slowly growing louder as something, a lot of something, seemed to be growing closer. The duo would have to act...at least moderatly fast before the lot of something closed in.

Seeing the crowd of white faces emerge before, them both twins knew that they would have to go deeper in without getting touched by the slow moving people as the y both climbed up the wall and used chakra walking to scale the ceiling and run pass all of them so that they would not get caught by the sickness.

"We need to act fast brother!" Ran shouted at Raiden as he nodded after her, following her deep into the cavern, past the crowd of zombie like ill.

The sick people paid them no mind as they ran over them. The two would continue running for a little bit before the ceiling start to lower. It seemed as the cave went deeper the tunnels became smaller until it was just big enough for the twins to walk through with their heads almost brushing the floor. They had to be extra careful now.

As they continued on, they would come to a fork in the tunnels, one going left and the other going right. The one on the left seemed to have a wide variety of fungi growing in it, while the sound of water could be heard from the one of the right. Which would they choose?

Meanwhile, a teeny tiny hiss came from far back in the cave, similar to the sound of a small fire eating all its fuel. Soon afterwords a chorus of moans would echo through the caves as what was once behind them quickly remembered the two.

The twins entered a portion of the cave where it would start to head on down as they got down in the lowered position needed to pass through. Seeing a fork in the road had caused them a bit of doubt on which way to go as Ran nodded activating her Mind's Eye sensor, to see which side had more chakra source through it.

After the seals were done she performed a bit more as three clones of herself came up and stood behind them as Raiden grabbed another match and lit it, using it to decided which way they would end up having to crawl, once his sister picked the right side of course.

This sensor jutsu is used by shinobi to feel chakra sources within a radius of 25 yards. While this jutsu is fairly helpful in sensing chakra, it is unable to actually pinpoint specific chakras outside of 10 feet. This only gives the Shinobi an idea of how many entities with chakra are present in their general area. There is no set range, but generally, with greater Ninjutsu and Control abilities, a ninja can see further and further out. The maximum range for this technique is 30 yards for those with average required stats of higher than 6.

Ren's sensory jutsu would pick up nothing with 25 meters down either tunnel. However, behind them chakra would start to be felt more and more as the moans of the ill crowd grew louder and more distinct in the tunnels. There appeared to be no ninja style chakra networks within 25 meters of her in any direction. Meanwhile the moans soon became closer. And closer. Eventually faces started to appear from back the way they had come, all staring with white eyes. The face moved slowly at first, but quickly their eyes darted to the match in the boy's hand. They progressed much more quicky, arms extended as they got nearer the boy. For some reason the they seemed to be ignoring the rock clones completely, as if they weren't even there.

Seeing that Ran was unable to find any networks meant that going one way would be very helpful as he threw the match down into the grassy moss section of the tunnels as both him and his sister crawled down into the side that had water running. Raiden lit yet another match to guide him a bit as he kept going through the tunnel, hopefully the other match being able to distract the crowd as the three clones took action, starting to push the ill back so that they would stay away from the twins.

"This is getting creepy Sis!" the boy mumbled softly to his sister.

The pai would crawl through the closed section of the tunnel for quite a while. Undisturbed from behind as the crowd watched the flames with almost obsessive intenisty, still ignoring the clone even as they pushed them back. The tunnel seemed to be a straight path with only the occasional small side tunnel away that didn't really look big enough for anyone to fit through.

As the two crawled down the tunnel, the sound of running water seemed to grow closer and closer. However, just as they were fifteen feet from the exit into a larger area, a hand shot out of one of the side tunnel aiming to grab Ren's wrist! That was just the first as several more hands started to jut out through the small opening, not able to fit the rest of their owners, but still able to fit the arm through. The hands waved wildly, barring the way between the twins and the exit into the larger area.

Seeing the exit of the running water tunnel, Radien let out a simple smile as he crawled forward, reaching towards the end as the match started to go off a bit wildly. The badness from this, though was that some hands came in and started to grab his sister as he threw the match inside the whole, hoping the hands would stop. Even though the hands did not stop that much, he started to kick and punch the hands away, giving his sister enough time to crawl through and escape as he watched her crawl safely through the opening before following her himself.

The twins managed to escape the enclosed tunnel. However, before they did, one of the hands managed to scratch Ren's leg. Could this cause her to catch the disease? Could this mean she would get sick? Who knows? Only time would tell, and it would be up to the twins to figure everything out there.

As they exited the tunnel, they would arrive in a large cavern with high ceilings. The walls were riddled with caves all around the area, and the ceiling was covered with sharp stalagtites. The floor of the cavern was fairly smooth, and condensed moisture glistened over everything. In the middle of the room was a large, underground river, flowing with a fairly slow current. The other side of the cavern was dark and couldn't be seen from where they were now. It was up to them what their next course of action was.

As the two nearly escaped the cavern, Ran had come out with a small cut on her leg as Raiden knew that this wasn't going to be good and a jutsu would have to be used immeditely. After a few seconds upon entering the strange cavern he started to form several quick hand seals as he placed his hands over the cut in order to try and prevent whatever happened to her from actually spreading any further than it was.

"I got you sis." as she grabbed a scarf off of his neck and burned it with a match, throwing it into the darkness to see what was there. They would need to hurry this mission quickly.

*Cleanse Technique
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
In the event that creating an antidote is not possible, users of this technique can still help their patient fight off toxins, infections and other foreign bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. As this chakra flows into the body, the leukocytes will react to its presence and begin to multiply rapidly. This influx of white blood cells takes one (1) post of concentration to create. Over the course of five (5) posts, the new and old leukocytes are able to fight off poisons that are C-Rank and below that have entered the body. During these final five posts, the medical-nin does not need to continuously focus chakra into the patient. It will take care of itself at this point.

The cut was successfully cleaned! As the boy threw the flaming scarf, the light barely managed to illuminate the far away wall of the cave. Through the darkness a large door seemed to be visible on the other side, though the details of the door were still hazy. Other than that nothing out of the ordinary seemed to be there.

Seeing that his sister was okay from the iijutsu he performed on her gave RAiden a simple sigh of relief as he laughed a bit from the trouble she had just put him through. It was indeed hard for him to worry for her, though he knew she could take care of herself.

"Look a door sis!" the male twin mumbled as she nodded as they both performed quick and easy hand seals, flooding a bunch of chakra within their feet as they started to quickly sprint across the river, trying to outspeed the current it had.
"Easy stuff!" the girl said as they aimed for the door on the other side as quickly as possible.

Just as the pairs feet touched the water, they attacked. From below the surface they came, hands flashing up through the water, and bodies lungind at the two from below. The sickened people, though it definitly wasn't good for their head colds, had been submerged, possibly trying to get clean from the sick stink or possibly just doing what mindless sick people normally do and get into the creepiest places for them to actually be. More and more seemed to arrise, probably needing air from being underwater and probably also simply wanting the pair above to drag them down for a nice long drink.

The horror struck when the hands came forward, trying to capture both of the twins as they started to jump and evade each and every one. "Sis come here!" Raiden said as he went in front of his sister and held his hands out together as she nodded running over and leaping off of them as she jumped towards the shore. Being the stronger of the two, Raiden took action as his sister started to perform several hand seals creating rock clones of herself that he started to leap across as tall stepping stones.

Raiden performed several hand seals as a cushion of fuuton went beneath his feet, sending him flying even farther as he landed on it, hoping to get over the river and to the door.

After completing the needed hand seals, a tightly packed circular gust of wind forms right at the feet of the user. The moment someone leaps on it, it sends that person flying in the direction they jumped on it. It's quite powerful and can send an average-sized person (and anything else that lands on it) over fifteen yards at his/her base speed in a straight line. It disappears after one use or lasts unused for three posts. A strength of four or higher is required to resist the effect of this technique.

Ran used two rock clones once more for raiden.

The two made it sucessfully over the river, though they didn't have much time before the ill started climbing out of the water. Bath time was over, and first five, then ten, and finally twenty of the ill arose from the water, walking towards the two and the door they were headed towards, moainging somewhat as they went.

The door itself was large, impossing structure of blue stone sunken into the wall. A tiny white "Please do not disturb" sign hung from the large deadbolt across the front of the door. It would take a bit of time to open with full strength. Could the twins manage it before the horde was upon them?

Neither of the twins had time to really watch out and be careful with the door as they started to lay there exploding tags around the door within the wall. Each both putting three on each side as they performed several hand seals before climbing up the wall with their chakra and smiling as they did simple kais and caused each of the tags to explode, hoping to open the door while keeping distance from the sick people.

"Good work sister." he said with a smile.

Rocks flew everywhere as the tags exploded. The smoke filled the air for a moment before disipatting revealing the door completely intact (that's what you call quality craftsmanship). However, the area around the door had been blown completely out, leaving the door standing by itself, able to be pushed over with enough strength. Meanwhile, the ill people were swarming the wall, clawing up towards the twins with their sickly hands, mouning as they tried to grasp the shinobi.

Seeing the structure weaken through the use of the exploding tags was a sign that a push over was due. Within a few seconds Raiden started to perform several hand seals as he leaped off of the wall and blew out some air bullets from his throat, attempting to push it over with the force of each bullet. If that did not work he would find himself jumping off of a rock and leaping in toward the door itself, as his sister was already trying to push it down with her own strength.

"Take this!" he would scream as his foot would extend out, all his force trying to push it over, though staying away from the ill.

After forming the needed hand seals, the user will take a deep breath before blowing it out in the form of a football-sized bullet. If hit by it, it can cause many small cuts at the place of impact. The further this is shot, the weaker it becomes, becoming completely ineffective at twenty-five yards. Medium strength armor and any Katon armor will negate the effects of this Jutsu.

Unspeakable horrors awaited on the other side of that door as it fell to the ground from the mighty tag team effort. It was terrible. It was horrible. It was...A WAITING ROOM!!!! A magazine rack, a sofa, a coffe table, a potted plant, and a desk behind which a bright eyes receptionist sat were all that adorned the rounded section of cave on the other side. Speakers hung in the corners played soft elevator style music, and on the opposite side of the room was a blue door with the words "Dr. Jaku Ruru" engraved in gold stincil on the outside. The receptionist turned to the boy, girl, and horde of ill people still grasping at said boy and girl, and smiled.

"Welcome." she said brightly. "Do you have an appointment?"

The twins were freaked beyond their minds as the site of a doctor's office came before them. What kind of mission was this, taking them to dark caverns and then into strange waiting offices as the lady at the desk talked to them both, confusing them as Raiden grabbed the mission statement from his pocket.

"Yes I have this paper. We are ninja and we are ordered to help all the sick, so I guess we do have ana ppoitnment." he said with a smile as he handed the lady the paper, Ran walking over towards the door as they waited for a response.

The receptionist took the notes as she pressed a button on the side of her desk. The music playing over the intercome suddenly shifted to a bright happy cartoon style music. The horde of ill people stopped in their tracks, and simply stood there, swaying from side to side as if in a trance.

"Dr. Ruru discovered the tune. For some reason it calms them." explained the receptionist. The lady look over the papers and then smiled with satisfaction. "Everything seems to check out. You'll just have to wait for a little bit. The doctor is currently with a patient. The couch is right over there." she said pointing. Now the two would have to face their greatest challenge of all. Actually waiting in a doctor's reception area!!!

The lady started to play some strange music as the twins both went over toward the chair and sat down sitting and smiling at each other. It was a good thing since they knew how to wait, or at least Raiden did as he pulled out a scroll and a pen and started to draw.

"We can do this.." he said to his sister who just nodded, looking at the strange ill people swaying back and forth.

And thus time passed. Five minutes. Ten minutes. Twenty minutes. An hour. The strange cartoon music continued to play loudly throughout the room, blaring from the speakers as the sick people continued swaying back and forth. Back and forth. The receptionist just sat smiling at the desk, reading some sort of book. More and more time passed. Two hours. Three hours. Eventually five hours passed with the two simply having to wait inside the waiting room with nothing but the cartoon music, the hypnotised sick people, and the reading receptionist to keep them company.

After five hours of solid waiting, a single blood curtling scream came from the doctors office. The scream echoed throughout the room, and over the cave walls, continueing to grow louder and louder as everyone just sat. "I don't think it will be too much longer." said the receptionist, not looking up from her book.

The waiting started to take a while as Ran closed here eyes, Raiden only watching his sister as he continued to look at all the things in his arsenal, letting the chakra replenish within his body as he heard the sounds of an echo curl throughout the hall ways as the receptionist looked up at them.

"What was that might I ask?" the boy asked with a strange look as he still waited to be let beyond the doors.

"Don't mind that." said the receptionist still flipping through her book. "That's just the doctor. He's working on his latest medical break through. We were lucky that this village was so willing to volunteer for his experiments, though it didn't exactly go according to plan."

The receptionist looked over at the swaying crowd. "The doctor is trying to invent a way to give humans perfect thermal vision though his medical research, developing a special type of bacteria that infiltrates into the body and manipulates the users eyes. The patrons of the town were willing to help, and they enjoyed the benifits of it at first. They were so happy, being able to see everything in infa red. Unfortunatly the bacteria mutated into a virus, and the side effects weren't as pleasent as we anticipated. Greenish skin, foaming at the mouth, loss of most cognitive functions, head cold. Needless to say that the towns people weren't exactly thrilled. Especially when we continued to treat them. Two of them even attacked us, knocking over a fresh supply of transfusion blood we had just got in all over the front of the mountain."

The receptionist sighed. "It was sad, but we managed to subdue them. We chained one to the front for his own safety, but the other we brought back here. He sustained some more severe injuries. However, despite all the meanness, as a token of our forgiveness, we decided to treat them anyway. The one at the front recieved the regular version, but the second one is currently recieving the doctors latest and greatest medical advancement on the treatment."

The receptionist flipped shut her book as she finished it. She walked to a book shelf beside her desk, and placed it on the shelf, the title "Human Experimentation and Biogenetic Mutation" showing across the shelf before disappearing amoungst the other books. She then took out a different book reading "Romance of the Iwan Butterfly" and sat down at her desk once more to continue reading.

Raiden looked a bit confused when being told what had happened throughout all the series of events and why the people were actually feeling sick. "So your telling me that you caused this? Is there anyway that it can be stopped, and who are the two people? Do you know if they can Be found. Can i go see the doctor now?" Raiden started to bombard with questions as a bit of confusion swept his mind.

Being somewhat of a medic, he knew that healing all of these people would be a great thing and probably one of his own duties as his sister began to awaken.

The receptionist thought for a moment. "I guess we did kind of cause it, though I really have no idea how to stop it. We were more focused on finishing the experiment and then cleaning up." She pondered some more. "Perhaps not the most brilliant idea, but still, it was necessary. As for the two people, the first is probably still chained at the front of the cave. If you entered you must have seen him there. The second is in the doctors office right now."

Another blood curtling screem echoed through the room. "That would be him."

"Can you let us out now, so we can go in and help you please. Just let me get this checked with the doctor so our mission can be done?" he asked with a look of annoyance, though Ran still looking tired.

The receptionist shrugged as she pressed a button on the intercom on her desk. "Doctor, there are a pair of shinobi here to visit you."

"How wonderful!" said the voice on the other side. "I love recieving visitos, though I'm with a patient right now."

"They say they want to help you." said the receptionist. "I think they might want an internship."

"Oh, how nice! Educating the youth of tomorrow. Send them right in."

The receptionist smiled as she pressed another button causing the door to open with a click. Inside a smiling man wearing white scrubs was standing over a man strapped down to a table screaming his lungs.

"Welcome doctors of tomorrow." said the smiling man as he stuck a needle in the man's arm. "I'm Dr. Ruru. Are you ready to learn?"

Being entered into the other door they saw the doctor as he introduced himself. They were indeed not wanting to be interns, but still the mission needed them to figure out what was going on so that they could be done and leave. They were already creeped out enough as it was as they both let out simple smiles.

Yes we had a mission request and we were supposed to figure out what happened. I am raiden and this is Ran.." the boy said to the man as he put on a fake smile. "So did you send this request, if so how do we call this a pass and get our reward?" he added once more.
