It had been awhile since Shiv was assigned to aid in the training of a fellow soldier. Nonetheless he relished these uncommon occurrences, they provided him a chance to actually see the mettle of his peers. Sure he was able to approach these soldiers outside of work and offer up his hospitality, by either helping or aiding in their training, but this was Kirigakure, people weren't as approachable as one would like to believe. Recently though, Shiv had the pleasure of taking part in the life and training of one of his fellow peers, her name was Naoko, she was delicate yet strong enough to crush anyone beneath her fist. The whole thing went sour though, hopefully this time things would end better between both Shiv and his assigned training partner; Kobayashi, Takashi.

As he was assigned to this task, Shiv actually had to force himself out of bed, something in which he never did unless it was work related, he even slept in if his family came to visit. The only reason he actually got up was the fact he had to maintain that professional look and all for his superiors. Shiv packed up his standard kit, making sure to take the required amount of gear for sparring with a person on the same level as him, an equal one would say. When a Jounin had to face another Jounin it was a true display of skill, one needed to be prepared for anything. The two were to meet at his favored training area; the marshland. It was a very welcoming atmosphere in the morning as the thick mist that settled the night before was cool and refreshing.

Shiv stood at the training area, waiting for his training partner to show up, it wasn't like his partner was late or anything, Shiv had just come early for once. I didn't have time to read the man's profile in-depth but from what I read the man is quite respectable. The fact that he was brutally tortured on assignment, but didn't spill anything is a sign of a true soldier. He would make for a decent ally, if things went well today...
