[OOC]Lose Lips Sink Ships

Post by Das Kirb » Mon Jul 17, 2017 9:09 am

As the sun moved towards the far sky those who worked the day moved towards their rest and recreation. Many a hand that reeked of fish found their ways to opening doors of bars and eateries alike. Families were gathered, men, women, and children finding their happiness in a hard day's work and a few gold coins. Indeed, while the waters and the docks were a picturesque place to be, further away began to change that.

As the crowds funneled towards the nice and comforting fires of the fishing hub, other individuals moved away. Many sought the comfort of more illicit activities. Women of the night stood on some street corners, offering company against a cold and lonely world. Darkened awnings and low ditches found themselves with people chasing away their fears and stress, their veins open to toxins. However, even amid the grungy darkness there was a building that seemed almost untouched. Patrons moved in and out with purpose, many carrying full sacks of coin and gem as they left. The doors swung to emit a warm glow of a fire's light and seemingly good cheer. Though the lack of families or children spoke of a much different kind of warmth.

The building stood with windows high, letting light in or out but no view to be gained from the ground. The door was clearly guarded but a very large man, standing no less than seven feet. His shoulders and arms spoke of manual work, while some deep scars spoke of fights past. His clothing was simple, a basic open front shirt and pants tied by rope with earthen tones throughout. Wooden sandals on his feet. He maintained the door with entry being to those who appeared to have a certain item on their possession, even looking could spot it was a medallion worn around the neck. The man wore a smile on his face as most came and went. However, there was a disturbing lack of people who were being turned away for not having the pendant.

As her journey began, it was all Haruna could think about. There was to be a hell here, she was being sent on a mission that she knew could very easily end in her own death. A hundred different ways to approach it all ran through her head, some were dismissed immediately, and others were filed away for later use. When she had gotten to the town she had set herself to alleys and the like, staying in the shadows with the mask over her face, as well as the mask that rested on her shoulder looking as if blood had smeared down it.

But what she needed most right now was information, and while she could certainly snag someone off the streets and beat them bloody, she knew there was no guarentee they would know the information she sought. And so one alley after another, and sometimes a rooftop here and there, she sat and observed for a time before moving on to the next place. She needed to find a place of import if she wanted to find information, and when she finally found the building with the seven foot tall guard, she found herself letting out a breath she had been holding.

Getting by him wouldn't be easy, and while Yuri had taught Haruna enough to about men and physicality to try and win her way by, she knew a man such as the Bandit King did not leave himself so open that getting into this building would be that easy. In a moment she had left, seeking someone with the pendant but not within line of sight of that building.

She found herself an alley that was certainly on the way to her actual destination, and waited. When she heard the shuffling steps of someone making their way out of the alley, she smiled, that smile only growing as she heard a woman's voice. The woman exited first, and judging by the sound of her voice and what she said, it was obvious she had just 'serviced' the young man who would be following her out.

The short version? It would be moments before the man was dead in the alley, a neat hole in his neck left by Haruna's weapon Saigo no Shudan, and his medallion gone. It would be minutes before the annoyed woman came back to see why he wasn't following her. And by time his body was discovered, Haruna had left her things hidden away and walked for the door of that building. The medallion was around her neck, her hair was down and loose, and all she wore was a simple pair of shoes and a little blue dress that clung to every curve. It had no sleeves, and was only long enough to cover her backside curves. She even smiled up at the seven foot guard as she stepped for the door.

The bouncer made no effort to stop her from entering, merely eyeing her and making sure the pendant was hung around her neck. Once confirmed his gaze moved on to the next in line, seemingly ignoring her existence as discipline kept wandering eyes in check, or so it would seem. The next to approach was close behind as his eyes were undressing the girl. A big meaty hand stopped him as the 7' man merely said "pass" and glared him down before the doors would shut behind the shinobi.

Once inside the air was filled with smells of food, drink, and sweat. A warm fire crackled against the far wall of a surprisingly rectangular room. The furnishings were simple wooden tables and chairs with a few benches around the bar and walls. The fireplace had several chairs near it with a singular woman standing with a set of pipes, blowing a sweet melody to the gathered men. She was dressed in a nice dress with bare feet and coin scattered on the floor around her as she swayed.

A man sat alone at a table, his eyes half shut from a long day's work as he nursed a pint and listened to the music. His face bore signs of age and his hair began to gray as time took its toll. It would be easy to think he'd be passing out before long.

Several were at the bar, men and women. Each of them looked just as wasted as the last and all bore signs of manual labor. Their clothing was sweat and dirt stained with small tears here and there. They seemed to be a group alone by the looking.

There were two people behind the bar, a man and a woman. The man was shirtless and showed signs of athletic life while not being bulky. His chest and shoulders were well toned and tanned. A simple pair of pants were held up by a chain and two blades hung at either side of his waist. His hair and beard were a bright red and his face flushed, making him pink in the cheeks as he smiled and laughed with the patrons. The woman wore a pair of shorts that showed off rather ample curve in her hips and merely a bra. Her long auburn hair was pulled back in a ponytail as she worked the bar. With each drink she served she made sure to sway her chest and hips along with a passing smile, eliciting remarks of a lewd nature. She didn't seem to mind, merely milking the drunkards for their last coin as she smiled and flirted.

A man sat alone in the far corner, his entire head and body covered in a cloak. What could be seen of his face showed a long gray beard and thick mustache. He appeared to be slumped over with a tankard in his hands. A gnarly staff rested in the free hand as he supported his weight apon it. As the girl entered he was the only one to make noticeable glances her way, revealing an old and pock ridden face with eyes like frozen glaciers before returning to his solitude.

She had half expected her heart to skip a beat as she passed under the large man's gaze, and yet the skip never came. She held her confident smile even as she moved past him with a sway of the hips and turned her eyes forward once more as she walked into the establishment. Some part of her worried that it didn't seem to bother her that she had just walked right in the front door in such a way, or that it didn't seem to bother her that she was going to look like a slab of ripe meat to most of the men in this place. Yet she knew this meant one simple fact. She was getting used to this work at least.

First Haruna approached the circle where the woman danced. It was a place the eyes were drawn naturally to of course, and so the movement felt natural. She remained behind a couple of spectators with a small, whimsical smile on her own face as she took a coin from her small purse that had been tucked away in her clothes, and tossed it to the woman's feet along with the other. At this motion her eyes watched the other men without looking at them directly. Her gaze was still fixed on the woman as she watched for a reaction. Would any take a particular notice of her?

From there she moved to the bar before removing money once again from her purse and sliding it across the bar, ordering a simple shot of whiskey. She had had the stuff once or twice and though she didn't care for it too much, sake seemed almost too fancy a drink to get here, at least decent sake that is. Though she focused on the drink she was to receive of course she watched out of the corners of her eyes the other patrons of the bar, again waiting to see if any would take particular notice.

Of course the man in the corner she had noticed immediately, but not yet approached. Alone and hiding his face, both indications that a man wanted to be left alone. He could be the hardest in the room to gain information from if that were true. But also being the only one alone in the room meant he might be the most ripe for the picking, to a woman scantily clad as Haruna was. As she brought her drink up to her lips she let her eyes list over to the man and a little smirk play about her lips before she downed the drink, a simple test to see if she would garner his attention once more.

Each move, each motion, all were tests in their own right, watching for who might be the most eager, but also watching for looks of experience to see who might know the most in the room.

The bard nodded her head in the hidden shinobi's way, a gesture of recognition and thanks as she continued the song. A few of the men's eyes darted to her as visibly undressed her with their lust filled eyes. None moved from their spots though, entranced by the song and enjoying the fruits of a hard day's labor. As the song continued, and Haruna left their side, only one seemed to notice her leaving, watching her as she walked away. A grin played about his face before he returned to quietly listening.

At the bar room was made for the girl as the group jovially drank their poison. The smell was strongest on them and the quiet talking merely a respect to the bard. Listening brought tales of fish brought in from the day's harvest. Each story trumped the last in ridiculous fashion. So enthralled in their own joys they barely noticed the girl at all, merely making room and respectful distance as not to crowd.

The sliding coin was caught in nimble hands as the fiery haired man tossed a shot glass on it with practiced dexterity. He winked at the girl who merely shook her head and went to the back. The swinging doors elicited odors of spiced potatoes and well cooked fish before she vanished behind it. As the door swung closed a glimpse was granted of a man clad in leather armor, carrying a large single edged sword. She looked grim upon seeing him before the door closed behind her.

Haruna's flirtatious ways garnered results as the man poured her drink. Filled to the brim in a double shot he slid it her way with a wink. With a hearty laugh he abandoned his friends in the group and made his way to her, leaning upon the bar with his arms crossed only a few feet away.

"Oi there, lass. Ye be a new face in my little tavern. What brings a pretty one like ye to my neck o the woods?"
