Kasai stood upon the edge of a sand and rock mixed beach of the island which the village was within as he looked out across the lack that was between himself the the actual land of Water country. Many things had been going through his mind over the past couple of days since arriving within the land of his family and after seeing the state of things he knew that something needed to be done and that most likely he would be the one to have to commit himself to conducting such change. But the rust, retired shinobi felt that if he wished to complete such an arguoust task that he needed to refine his skills a bit in order to be able to compete with those shinobi who stood before him in this mission. The first thing he thought of was his water clone, with a few quick hand seals the water that was lapping up onto the shoreline twisted and swirled upwards before manifesting into an identical looking version of himself that one wouldn't be able to tell apart without some way of sensing the difference in the pair's chakra.

Their wasn't even a chance in the man's eyes as he looked on at the clone for a few moments, almost as though the old monster was deep in thought about something as he had truly felt that he'd mastered this element and that their were many ways in which one could improve this rather unpolished technique before him. After those few moments had passed without a word or gesture from the old man his hands began to move through a set of different and slightly longer hand seals then before. But nothing happened. It turned out that the man was working through creating a new set of hand seals mentally along with the manner in which the chakra would need the be manipulated, drawing from the base being how one formed the water clone and expanding upon that by infusing it with his vast knowledge of the element gained over his decades of practice, along with all the trial and error that occured during those several years.

It only took about ten minutes of work before the former jounin's scarred face actually had a sign of change, only slightly though as the right corner of his lips curled upwards slightly. He had already finished working on the alterations to the tecnique, of course altering an existing technique was much easier that straight up creating a new ninjutsu from scratch. The hands twisted for a few seconds in a steady blur of seals before the water once more the clone of water formed only this time it was not focused like its predacessor had been on taijutsu uses but instead more so for Kasai himself and his talent in elemental ninjutsu. Current the old, crimson haired man found himself standing out upon the gently rising and falling water of the lake which surrounded his home village, their was an almost solemn gaze upon his face at the moment as he had stretched out the gloved right hand towards the water. A soft blue glow formed an outline around his body and the extended hand now as chakra channeled through his body and into the surrounding water. Only a few moment later a sword of water began to form and slowly levitate out of the surface of the water as it caused for the water in his area to splash about violent from the formation process. As if responding to the command of Kasai's right arm the sword lifted upwards as though it was pointing towards the cloudy sky above, a feeling emitnating from the man that if he willed it the sword could destroy a mountain if it was put before it now. The man's bright golden hue eyes simply stared at the weapon and everything that it symbolized to him, his fallen friend and the man's wife, his own family who were no longer with him.

The Reaper had created this suiton whip sword as a testimate to his comrades and family who were no longer with him, it was a tool to carve the future for the village and himself but even this grand thirty meter long weapon was not truly the apex of what the elemental specialist was capable of doing. This sword had been created during his younger years out of a spark of what could almost be considered enlightment during his depression after his wife passed away. It was ninjutsu that brought the man out of that downward spiral as he lost all interest any anything else and inturn locked himself away from even his village for sometime as he did nothing but study and train in his elemental arts. Until the point the he reached a breakthrough of sorts and began to under what it meant to have complete mastery over and element and focus on developing the ability to utilize each of his elements through Kinesis, a very difficult task to begin with but he managed to do so in the end.

The product of that breakthrough had been the massive water based weapon before him that was able to move at a speed and power that surpassed most shinobi, making it a devistating ability for attacking within the area around him but today as he stared at the sword he realized that the weapon felt rather tiny and even weak compared to the level that he had managed to climb to as a ninja. Holding the weapon in place with one hand his body glowed again with a thin layer of blue chakra as he first channeled more chakra into the surrounding waters which then with the lifting of the left hand began to rise up from around him and was lifted up around the weapon as more water then what was already contained within the weapon was floating around it. Both hands began by clasping together now as the thin layer of chakra that outlined his body grew brighter then before due to the sheer amount of chakra being used, close to double the amount that had been used earlier to manifest the sword floating above him at the moment.

His hands silently held the hand seal that allowed for him to concentrate his chakra more efficently then without as the chakra infused both the sword above him and the water that surrounded it and the water began to slowly merge with the large weapon as each merger increased the weapon's size each time. It took nearly a minute to focus the elemental into its matching elemental sword as it looked more like a club at this point having grown a bit longer but also extremely thick in appearance to the point that it didn't even resemble the whip sword from earlier. However, in the eyes of the old man this was something that truly wouldn't do now as he unstood that water was suppose to be freeflowing and flexible like a whip. With a nod of his head he had already decided as the glow around his body intensified once more and the mass of water began to be shaped more precisely now as it began very long and thin in its appearance, stretching out to around a hundred meters in length with just over five meters in width. This was how the element best fit into being a weapon in Kasai's eyes...

While active, anything attempting to physically breach the cloak that possess less than 50 strength is instantly repelled and airborne contaminants or particulates find themselves too dampened by the water to ever reach the wearer. Kasai set upon a boulder that had managed to break away from the cliff face that over looked the large lake that contained the isolated island in which the village of Kiri lay within the several shrouding layers of think mist. The old man had found that by removing himself from the distractions that came from the village and shinobi that it gave him the ability to assess himself and where he stood as a shinobi himself. Being able to clearly ascertain exactly where his strengths as a ninja lay and on the flip side of that coin the monster of a man was also able to see the flaws in his fighting style and the holes that had been left within his own arsenal of elemental techniques.

More so today the man had ventured to the edge of the village's borders on the far side of the lake to take a truly in depth view at his most fluent element, suiton. It was the first element that he had learned as a young boy even before graduating to become a genin. And as one could imagine the old made who had lived for over five decades had managed to develop quite a numerous amount of water based ninjutsu. Being from the village hidden in the mist it had been rather easy to find those with the same primary affinity as himself and in turn it had been one of the easiest elements to progress and ultimately master with the ability to utilize kinesis with the said element.

But the man was able to tell that his strengths actually went beyond just the ability to utilize the element through the use of kinesis and was actually the drew from both his massive chakra pool and being at not only the apex of understanding when it came down to elemental Ninjutsu but also his ability to draw out the full strength of any element that he learned. Being able to wipe out hundreds of people with a single technique, be it a costly one, a series of techniques with massive scale to them that could destroy whatever was placed before them. At the moment this was the true source of strength that lay hidden with the crimson haired old man but it was almost to obvious to even him the drawbacks of such laege scale, area of effect based elemental techniques.

This drawback was of course that the attacks qere unable to discriminate between friend and for, just killing anything and everything that just so happened to fall with their ranges. While it use to not pose any problem for the old ni ja due to the fact that he mainly was tasked with the stalking and killing of high profile target on his own. In such a situation he never need ro worry about having any blue on blue actuon and injuring or accidentally killing a fellow Kiri nin. It was time for him to work on creating specific techniques that would allow for him to be much more precise in his attacks, because the role he would fill in the future for his villagewas no longer that of their famed assassin known as the Black Reaper.

No, instead he would be revered as the next Mizukage if the Hidden Mist, as long as he didn't end up dying in the process of assassinating the current Kage. In order to complete a task that is almost considered impossible by others their was also another weakness that he had fail to mention. It was another aspect of him that at first glance could be seen as a strength. That being hisso called undying body, his elemental body that was capable of shifting between his different elements as needed. While it was true that he was no longer capable of dying due to age, disease, or lack of nutrients thre shinobi was still capable of dying if his special core was damaged.

It was also this so called elemental body of his that supplemented his current weakness in close range combat. The man who was still seated on top of the large boulder was mentally tryingto combined his weaknesses and his strengths in order to develop a new technique that would help top seal withour better conceal the mentioned imperfections of his current self. At that very moment both of the distance looking eyes widened withouta warning as to why. It appearedas though the man had made some tipped off significant discovery with his deep thoughts. The man had found at least an eighty percent solution to his current perdicument from an old battle between himself and a Suna shinobi back many years ago.

It was during that fight when he was locked in combat with the said ninja thatthre enemy had utilized a cloak style Ninjutsu that covered the man from head to toe in doton beating back Kasai's own suiton jutsu as the fought back and forth at taijutsu range with each other. If Kasai had been only fluent in that single element at the time then he would have truly been in an even more dangerous position than he already was. In the end he switched to his other elemental affinities to counter the cloak and ultimately defeat the target. At first the memory was a bit jumbled and blurry to the old man but as he focused more the details vecame more clear to him and a half smile crossed the scarred man's normally emotion lacking face.

"I understand just what it is that I need tondo in order to make this qork. That man's skill in his element was quite good but it would be truly lacking if he were to be compared to the me of today. Not only will I develop my own version of that technique but it will also be even stronger and imposing than that technique in the past. Truly worthy of a Reaper of the living..." Words that sounded as if they had been whispered straight from the Death God filled the immediate area around Kasai as he actually spoke aloud to himself at this moment with those soft words slipping through a crack in his thin, scarred lips now. That smile on hais lips actually didn't fade as voth hands came together and a think blue outline of chakra could be seen upon the Reaper's body now as he slowly levitated up from the sittinf position into a standing one.

The water around him began to churn lightly as though it was able to understand the thoughts and emotions that were being emitted out from the Kiri ninja in this moment. Slowly but steadily the water started to creep from beneath the surface as tentacle like appendages of suiton chakra before they started from the man's feet beginning to wrap around and coat their master's body inch by inch. Taking several slow minutes before that were able to reach even the shoulders of the seven foot tall man as he stood motionless, simply concentrating on the application of the layer of elemental chakra to his body at the moment and nothing else.

Yet, in the end the first several attempts either failedin the process of the last steps or the closing was to thin and landed thre desired defensive power. But eventuallythre man would find the harmony needed and create a strong and stable version to continue building off of...

As if responding to the command of Kasai's right arm the sword lifted upwards as though it was pointing towards the partially cloudy sky above him, a feeling emanating from the man that if he willed it the sword could destroy a mountain if it was put before himself right now. The man's bright golden hue eyes simply stared at the weapon for a few moment and silently remembered everything that it symbolized to him, his fallen friends and the man's wife, his own family who were no longer with there in this world with him.

With a nod of his head he had already decided as the glow around his body intensified once more and the mass of earth in the rough form of a hammer was shaped more precisely in that moment now as it began to change under the control of the crimson haired man.
