Arrival in Kozuke Province

Post by Flankingfox » Fri Aug 09, 2019 10:01 pm

It had been some time since Karagata, Shiv had been back in Water Country. Without much choice, the veteran had come to the upper province of Kozuke due to inclement weather. What was supposed to be a nice voyage back to the village had become a dreaded cautionary tale of the importance of not questioning the ocean. The weather in question was none other than a tropical storm! However, this one had produced a cyclone causing loads of problems for shipping routes as well for the citizens on the coast of the province who were now dealing with major flooding. Sure it wouldn't be much of a hassle to straight-up help the province with his exceptional abilities, especially at the level he had achieved over years of mastery using fuuton affinity. Cleaning things up would be almost a breeze if not inadvertently annoying beyond anything the veteran wanted right now. Nope, that wasn't an option. Instead, Shiv would ditch the province and have them properly hire Kirigakure no Sato for some assistance!

At least that is what he had mentally agreed upon an hour or so ago. Shiv wasn't quite eager to get back right away. Time away from the political games of the village had been quite therapeutic in a sense. The thoughts of how the division was doing had even somehow faded from the forefront of thought for the briefest of moments. That is until a messenger actually got threw to him out here, fortunately, that wasn't likely right now with everything happening. If anything, the division was completely capable of getting things done without their scummy leader. What could he honestly be providing from this far away anyway? Words of wisdom or whatever you'd like to call them only did so much to appease the masses. Actions and deeds were what garnered the attention needed to get through to people. Shiv being so far away allowed for any of those ambitious lackeys an ample opportunity to swoop in and gain a bit of favor with the upper echelons of the Kirigakure ladder. That thought alone helped Shiv ease further back into his chair...

As the wind and rain completely ravaged the immediate area, Shiv calmly sat in a ragged chair with his feet up. Where was he exactly? That was a question he couldn't even answer. To be honest, he had used his remaining funds weeks ago and was traveling pretty much on the funds he made doing temp jobs along the way. There was no shame in doing honest work for honest pay and then wasting it on sake or any other sort of sins. For these vices were what made life worth living still? The weapon's cold dead eyes looked toward the door as the door started shaking violently. Well didn't sound like this weather was getting any better if anything the supposed serenity he had achieved wasn't meant to be; a loud howling from the wind filled the room now.

Here Shiv was just trying to quietly smoke out of a pipe while listening to the chaos unfold outside. There was something special about having the power to do something but doing the opposite of what was expected. At least it made him feel like he still had a choice these days. Blowing outward the veteran released a cloud of smoke that filled the air for only a moment before being swept away almost instantly. This dwelling wasn't exactly five stars you know, nor did Shiv expect the pathetic hut looking thing to hold out much longer. Then again, that was the best he could purchase on such a tight budget. During this time away what had the veteran learned on his supposed mission to gain intel on minor countries? Well, that was secret so no telling even with imaginary text that explained the situation at hand. There was definitely a point to this topic. Shiv returned to conscious thought suddenly as the roof was ripped abruptly from whatever had been keeping it buckled down. Whirling winds filled the room turning a dirty place into something unsalvagable. There went any chance of avoiding what was expected of him. Standing up, Shiv stretched as he channeled chakra into his tubules before rapidly eating up all the wind in the vicinity. Silence crept onto the stage for a second or two before being replaced with a thunderous crash of water! The walls buckled over and the house was left flat while the veteran hovered shakily upwards using his tubules.

Trying to keep his eyes open, Shiv gazed upon the devastation this thing was causing. There wasn't any sort of words to explain this sight aside from 'troublesome'. Whatever, Shiv did kind of have an obligation to the people of this country, especially as one of its paramount celebrities who was openly praised as being a champion of Kiriagkure no Sato. What that meant was that Shiv was being used yet again. Another tool working in the grand scheme of things for an unknown purpose that only those above could comprehend. With a sigh, Shiv rapidly vanished in what looked to be a single blink of an eye. Where would he go? Who would he help? How would he do it? These answers were trivial because in the end the storm would pass and life in Kozuke province would continue as usual. So let's move onto the next thread where our champion can finally get back to Kirigakure and start slapping bitches and bedding hoes!

Shiv PersonalityShow
"Having been trained to follow orders and accomplish any task given to him, Shiv has become a desensitized killer with an elitist attitude, being utterly rude to those that he deems lesser than himself. This can be seen through his interaction with people as he is quite the remorseless and sarcastic individual. His disregard for those around him can be seen through his logic of comparing people to weapons. He is professional, calculating, and ambitious by nature, with his professional side only being shown when dealing with those that he deems worthy of his respect."
