Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Post by TheLacarix » Tue Jul 06, 2021 5:36 pm

Grey clouds filled the sky above, hiding anything that could be considered day light. A slight black tinge slowly enveloped the clouds and soft pitter pats of rain followed hitting the ground below and of course dropping down on the long red headed man, known as Aizawa, Yoru Bannin of Konohagakure. Water dripped down his porcelain white cheeks, grasping at the long red hair that surrounded his head and dragged it over his face.

The rain grew heavier and heavier and the clouds darker and darker, a loud crack echoed through the air as lightning soon followed lighting up the sky and quickly turning dark once again. The Bannin sighed softly pulling his haori high over his head, he hadn’t prepared for the treacherous weather as summer was soon around the corner and there had being nothing but warmth and sun.

What luck. Thought Yoru as he awaited at the rendezvous point, where his chaperone should soon be arriving.

Aizawa, Yoru awaited on the docks of what was once known as the tea country just before The Great War he glared around him, looking at what the once allied nation had become. The foolish Samurai of Tea were so focused on grasping for new land they hadn’t thought to protect their home and now it was a land occupied by the land of water.

The Bannin of course had a distain for the enemy shinobi village, but nothing close to how he felt about Iwagakure but Kiri force had almost taken his home and it was hard not to harbour a grudge. However that grudge would be put aside for the name of peace, Yoru had being sent personally by Takeo, Hokage of the leaf to Kirigakure to lead this peace treaty, if it was at all possible.

All he could do now was wait.

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Kiri had always wanted a piece of the mainland, the war across the world of the human realm had countries grabbing for all the land they could get their hands on while the Hidden Mist and Water country had focused on first securing the numerous surrounding islands as their Lord had desired and then two pieces of the mainland. One the former country of Tea and the small country to their northeast that now bordered near the Lightning Empire giving the country to main port areas to expand themselves and exchange trade with other countries more easily. A fleet of three large ships each bearing the flag of the Hidden Mist and the of Water country as the rainy port soon saw a flurry of activity once it was recognized that the ships were from their homeland. Only the largest of the three ships came into the port now as it was quickly maneuvered into place by the skill captain and crew before the gangway was place out and two Kiri shinobi walked off the ship, each of them rather tall with the short haired, muscular shinobi standing a few inches over six feet and the more elegant long haired shinobi with five fox like tails behind him standing about six and a half feet in height. Though the two man were strikingly different in appearances there was one thing, each sported the special symbol of Kiri's famed swordsman group.

Two members of this prestigious organization had been sent personally to receive the Konoha shinobi and return with him back to the village in order to conduct talks with the Lord Kasai himself about the affairs between the two villages as the Great War had more or less came to an end at this point and even a strength based village like Kiri couldn't continuously content and fight against the advances of other nations with its forces spread out to cover their increased territory. The rainy weather didn't seem to affect either of the men, the man from the Kaguya clan wore his fist weapons on either hip with a sleeveless robe like top that was left open to reveal his muscular torso while the back of the garment highlighted the man's clan seal for all to see. While the other man was dressed more formally, wearing traditional male kimono robes as his five long tails were curled up behind him a as he walked, appearing to be the more senior member of the group he was able to instantly spot the shinobi from the Hidden Leaf who stood out from the bustle of the docks and various Kiri shinobi who also held the security of the main port of Water country to the mainland.

The Tsukino greeted the man with a smile, revealing somewhat canine-like teeth behind his smile and as he closed the distance from the ship's port to the position of the fellow shinobi it would allow for Yoru to see the seven swords that decorated the man's frame. Five strapped across the wide back of the man and one strapped onto either side of the man's slender hip region. "Hello my friend.'' He did something a bit out of character for him as he attempted to give out a warm greeting, attempting to put on a good face for their first meeting as he extended his clawed finger to offer a handshake to the infamous bannin of Konoha, someone who was on their bingo list. Meeting this person in such a situation actually excited the fox-like man as his warm voice was nigh the opposite of his sharp vision as he would peer down upon the shinobi with a set of brilliant bright blue eyes and the whisker-like marks upon either side of his masculine face. "The Lord has asked that fellow swordsman Hitachi and myself escort you back to the village so that he can speak with you in person. If you are ready to depart we can get out of this rain and into the cabins on the ship to warm up." Again the man spoke with great hospitality towards the Bannin, admiring the strength of a shinobi and one who claimed the title of bannin had to have a great deal of personal strength, it was something any Kiri shinobi could respect.

As for Hitachi, the short haired swordsman, he simply nodded at the words of his superior within the swordsman ranks as his own set of pale blue eyes were scanning the area as if worried something might occur right here on their own docks...for Kasai to send them both meant that this assignment was of the up most priority to the Kage himself. Neither of them would do anything to mess this up nor allow any outside forces or influence to do so either...

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Post by TheLacarix » Fri Jul 09, 2021 3:16 pm

The rain continued to pour down, the pitter patter got louder and louder orbs of water hitting hard off the pier below thudding with what sounded like a great force, the wind was starting to pick up and another crack of thunder soon followed and in turn the sky lit up once again. Yoru certainly didn’t have much experience as a seafarer beyond row boots and a few fishing trips, the storm worried him Would the boat capsize, would they smash into rocks, would a giant kraken drag them beneath the water? his thoughts ran a mock and just became silly, he probably had worse things to concern himself with than giant krakens.

The two dangerous swordsmen from Kirigakure bounding towards him were probably much worse.

He adjusted his haori, pulling it away from his head and adjusted the read sash around his waist, pulling it tight and pulling his haori close together, Yoru was initially taken back by the warm and friendly greeting even calling him friend he’d of scoffed if he wasn’t here on a mission of diplomacy. He suspected it was nothing but a ruse, they both knew they were enemies but it suggested to Yoru ruse or not, that both villages were eager to bring across peace or at least a truce.

Nobody wanted to relive The Great War, both the five nations had benefited but Yoru pondered if it had truly been worth it.

“Aizawa, Yoru." introducing himself in a somewhat sing song voice it was almost hypnotic in nature as he lowered his head as a sign of respect “It’s a pleasure to meet you both, Hitachi and… I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name?” asked with curiosity, he however nodded in agreement and delight at the thought of getting into the cabin for warmth. He’d gesture for the pair to lead the way “I don’t wish to sound ignorant, but do forgive me I am a simple wayfarer and my legs are not accustomed to the sea, but is it safe to travel in such a storm?”

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Post by Zao » Sun Jul 11, 2021 12:05 pm

"Oh.." The man brought his hand up to his face as the rain droplets dripped from his lengthy hair and face in an almost coughing manner, glancing over at his fellow swordsman before returning his bright gaze back onto the emissary of the Leaf village now and speaking, "Sorry about that, my friend here and my parents had the same naming convention best we could figure so sometimes one we forget...My name is also Hitachi. I must apologize if this causes any confusion for you." That same clawed nailed hand reached back touching the back of his head, as though expressing how awkward it was to be partnered up with someone who had the same first name as himself. Letting out a couple coughs as the hands curled into a fist back in front of his face to cough into as if that would help break up the situation the man nodded and turned halfway as his pointed dog hears heard the fellow shinobi's fair question about the current sea state caused by this coastal storm.

"It is only a small storm and the Kiri Navy has some of the most experienced captains and crews you can find. Once we get closer to Kiri we'll escape the reach of this storm. But until then..." The part fox shinobi couldn't help but shake his head and give a light smile as he head looked at the ship and back at the smaller man now off to his right side, "It will be a bit rough sailing so we must apologize beforehand for that, the sea is a rather fickle creature sometimes. But in case you need it each cabin has a bucket for its occupant just for that reason. Due to the weather we'll also just be serving food in the cabins today, the trip from the mainland to Water country is just over a full day on ship." Letting out a light laugh the man motioned with his clawed hand as both Hitachi swordsmen walked shoulder-to-shoulder with one another back towards the brow as a small escort detail of sailors and shinobi was left behind to handle anything that the Konoha-nin had brought that needed to be carried on board the ship with them. A few minutes later the group was on the ship and ducked into the enclosed living spaces of the ship as the sound of the heavy rain drops were like soothing music to one's ears as they moved down a short hallway rounding the corner to the right as they came to a series of state rooms reserved for high ranking shinobi and other VIP that were traveling with them.

The Kaguya didn't seem to talk much and left the conversing to his Kitsune friend, "Here is your room, Yoru-san." After a short walk the larger of the two men gestured with his left hand to an open door where a young woman dressed nicely bowed lightly. "This is Ni, she is my...assistant and will be here to help you with your needs such as dry clothes, food, or drink along our travels. We'll be departing shortly so the first part of the voyage will be a bit rough." As he spoke the man glanced over to the young blacked haired woman with straight waist length hair, she wore no visible signs of identification as a shinobi and Hitachi had already called her for what she was, truly not his assistant but instead his personal slave. Though she was treated very well in the end she was still a slave but the Kiri-nin had attempted to keep that from the Leaf shinobi who had their own drastically different opinions about slaves that the Hidden Mist did. Then he shot a somewhat menacing gaze towards the vermilion haired man, almost as if saying that the rather good looking man shouldn't try any funny business with the young woman who looked to be in her early twenties. The young woman bowed at the waist to her owner and then towards Yoru and smiled before speaking in a sweet voice, "Yes sir, if you have any needs please let me know."

She straightened her back as her emerald green eyes looked over the foreigner, so this was a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. She was intrigued as she rarely got to leave the village so this was all new and exciting for the slave woman. The fox-eared man spoke again as he gestured to the two rooms across the hall from Yoru, "These two are our personal cabins so if there is something you need to speak with either of us please inform Ni or the shinobi who will patrol the ship and they will find us. Our next meal will be in a few hours after we move out of the brunt of this stormfront and into better waters" The foxy shinobi's ear twitched slightly as he spoke, treating this guest on their ship with the utmost respect and courtesy for the time being. He himself was interested in the small statured man, in comparison to himself, who held the title of Bannin...how fun it would be to spar with a figure like this. The only thing that ran on the minds of most of the swordsmen was fighting, both of the Hitachi's were no exception to this as the man pushed that thought into the back of his head for later. If there was nothing else from Yoru then the pair would leave him in the company of the guard shinobi who patrolled the inner walkways of the vessel and his slave Ni to handle what affairs the ninja might have...

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Yoru bit his bottom lip, stifling his laughter that the two men shared a name what a peculiar custom, what it usual for teammates to share a name in Kiriagkaure? thought the red headed bannin, either way it didn’t really matter but it was amusing. Shaking his head and lifting up his hand, he gestured it was no problem and there was nothing to apologise for.

He followed the pair of swordsmen onto the boat, his belongings were taken and carried for him there was very little in their but fresh clothing and some simple writing equipment, well that wasn’t entirely true within a secret compartment was his ANBU uniform, it would be near impossible to get into without the combination and being able to comprehend the fuuin on the lock. Though for some reason, Yoru wasn’t too worried he didn’t expect his personal belongings to be rummaged through and they were getting carried behind him, so they were in eyesight.

As he was led to his room, he nodded at the young woman known as Ni “Aizawa, Yoru it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said with a nod, looking into her eyes it was apparent she was a slave and it was expected of a Kiri transport ship. As a slave himself he felt a connection to the young woman immediately and an instant rage poured over him, remembering he was surrounded by villainous enemies. However he was on a diplomatic mission and could not rock the boat literally and figuratively, for now he’d have to stifle those feelings and be nothing but a gracious guest.

He nodded, with a sweet smile at his host as they left leaving him with the attendant known as Ni. He snorted at the thought of her previous look and rolled his eye “You needn’t worry, I’m not that kind of man.” He said softly, he pushed his hand deep into his haori pulling out a small brown pouch, pulling out a few ryo and placing them on the dresser in front of him “For your troubles, I’d like some fresh towels and to take a bath before dinner.”

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

The slave girl was a bit taken back by the sweet smile from the young looking man, she didn't know who he was but he definitely felt different from her own even though she was obviously treated much better than other slaves that she knew. She bowed deeply and quietly spoke back in return, "A please to meet you, sir." Soon it was just her an the Konoha-nin and despite his sweet smile and that he appeared to be a genuinely nice figure based on his actions and tone of speech she still had her guard up a bit. After all, this man was an enemy of the village even if the war was over...would her owner's village really seek out peace? Everything going on was truly above her head and it left her swimming about in her thoughts as she was brought back to as the man placed some ryo on the dresser which caused her to shoot the man a suspicious gaze.

"Thank you but I cannot take it." As a slave, even though she was above most other slaves when it came to quality of life, she was in the end still just a slave unless her own released her from the binding contract and she could only shake her head politely at the man's gesture to pay her for her services as helper and maid for the journey. "But I can fetch you some clean towels and another attendant will be able to draw a bath and warm the water by the time I return." As she spoke it was as if another female attendant with jet black hair had been waiting for the cue and quietly entered the room and bowed. She would greet him politely as Ni stepped out and moved down the hall to gather some towels and bathing items for the foreigner now as the other used a suiton based technique to fill the tub but it wasn't just water as it was a mixture of steam as well causing the bathing area to gain a faint warm mist. This attendant wasn't a servant but another shinobi, though a young one perhaps a genin or chuunin who on board to help out though she would have never thought that she would be helping fix someone's bath water with her ninjutsu techniques...

Without a word the young girl turned and left, honestly a bit afraid to look at the Konoha-nin. As she left Ni returned and brought a handful of towels and basket of bath items for the shinobi's convenience. "If you need anything else please call. Dinner will be in about an hour or so." With that she would leave the man to his own devices and shut the door securely behind her...

Else where the two Hitachi's sat at a table near the captain's lounge discussing their new passenger, finding it hard to believe that he was the renown criminal of the Hidden Leaf and that they had accepted him back into their ranks...even bestowing upon him the title of Bannin for his strength shown during the war. But it was easier for them to rationalize than most shinobi from other countries due to the level of strength the man must have to have earned all of this from the village and to be recognized by the Kage himself. After all, strength was what ruled the world and the single law that had governed the Hidden Mist since its conception, strength was everything and without it you were more or less nothing in there eyes. The fact that Konoha was willing to send such a man as Yoru was one of the couple reasons that they had decided to accept the meeting with the one village they had the worst relationship with due to their intertangled history. If it had been anyone else the request most likely would have been rejected by their Lord. Both knew they couldn't do anything and found it difficult to set still as each took a shot of sake from the small drinking cups, not even seeming to notice the pitch and row of the ship as it powered through the rough sees quickly leaving the sight of the shoreline in route to the main country of water. How each wished they could have the opportunity to test themselves against the man downstairs...

Yoru sighed softly as the woman refused the ryo he’d offered, he wondered truly even if she had accept it could she even spend it? In all honesty he knew very little about the lives of slaves within Kirigakure and only had his own experience to go by.

He decided for now, he wouldn’t interrupt with the Kirigakure’s way of life and gently placed the ryo back into the pouch and placed it in the safe location in his haori. His bags were brought to his room, and the two women slipped in and out with fresh towels and a warm hot bath. They both left, closing the door behind him.

Slipping off his clothes and unwrapping his bandage, his pale naked body exposed, the burns and welts across his right arm and the thick lashings across his back. He stepped towards the bath, placing his hands on the side of the bath to support his weight and slipped himself in. Peeling off the eyepatch from his face, his closed his eyelid to prevent the white eye beneath from activating.

Making a bowl with his hand he dipped it into the steaming water and flung it onto his face, he gasped out glad to me out of the rain and into a warm bath, covering himself in creams and lotions and doing the same with his long red locks. Scrubbing himself completely clean.

After some time, he dragged himself out of the bath pulling out one of the small towels and wiping off as much water as he could, before wrapping his lower half with a thick white towel and walked over to the dresser his bag was on, pulling it open and retrieving a small leather bound book filled with short stories. He leaped onto the bed and opened the book, placing his head on the aptly named headboard and read the book with his single hazel eye. It was nice to take in a few moments to relax before dinner, he hadn’t truly rested since the war.

Time would pass slowly but surely as the group pushed out from the mainland and further out into open ocean, the clouds became lighter but a light drizzle still fell upon the top deck of the ship as it moved into calmer waters with gentle swell of only a few feet. While thing were looking good on the top deck as the crew and shinobi moved about taking care of various tasks upon the ship dinner was being prepared in the galley as the time for evening chow was fast approaching and it was nearly time to acquire their guest. The kitsune man pulled scratched behind his fluffy ears as he got up from his seat, finishing a small glass of alcohol, keeping his limit at two glasses due to the special shinobi on their ship and waved a half goodbye to the other swordsman and shinobi setting in the captain's lounge.

In passing he met with his servant who bowed politely and spoke to him briefly about the kindness of the foreigner, it made the tailed shinobi smile a bit that he hadn't been rude or ever frisky with the young woman, after all the Mizukage had told them that not a hand was to be laid upon this one. If it had not been an order from the Lord himself then either himself or his swordsman twin might have already tried to start something with the man just to see how strong he actually was. But for now he had to play the friendly host, biding the woman away to help with the food in the galley area the man descended another set of steps and quietly walked down the long hallway that would eventually lead him outside of Yoru's room. Each of his ears twitched lightly, his big ears obviously not just for show as he was easily able to hear a number of things going on through the ship, even on different levels. The man reached up with his clawed fingers to rap at the door a couple time.

"Yoru-san, dinner is being set out if your ready to come join the rest of the crew. " The man called out in a normal tone of voice that would easily carry through the thin wooden door, before adding on a few words. "Though I must be forward about something, this is foot cooked on the ship so it won't be five stars." A light chuckle left the fanged mouth as he stepped back and waited for the reply from his guest or for the other man to come to the door. After wards he would escort the figure back to the chow hall area that was the next deck up and one deck down from the actually top level of the ship. As they walked the man couldn't help but look over at the Bannin and ask, "What do you plan to talk with Lord Kasai about?"

The freshly made sheets felt warm and soft against his bare skin, the sway of the boat rocked him gently to sleep, as the book fell from his hand landing softly on his chest.

It was rather foolish of Yoru to be so relaxed; he was after all on an enemy ship someone could come it at any moment and kill him in his sleep.

However he found himself awake, still alive as he heard his name been called out. His single hazel eye shot open as he scrambled around for a moment trying to remember where he was.

“Give me a moment.”
He said just loud enough that it would be heard through the door. Pulling himself off his bed, he pulled out a pair of black trousers and a black under shirt and put each of them on. Quickly slipping on his sandals and grabbing at his green Haori he headed towards the door. Stopping himself, realising he’d forgotten his eye patch.

That would be no good, though it wasn’t a secret what was hidden beneath his eye patch especially after revealing it during the aroma event. Either way, he thought it best not to flaunt it. Moving over to the dresser he tied the eyepatch around his head and over his eye, slicking his long red hair behind his ears and heading back towards the door.

“Sorry for keeping you waiting.” He said apologetically, pulling his green haori over each arm and tying it up in place.

He chuckled softly as he was asked what his plans were “Aren’t you a nosey one Hitachi, though I imagine those ears of yours pick up quite a bit. Though, I’m here to broker peace, our nations have fought for so long without cause. I’m tired of war.” He said, seemingly honest. Yoru knew that peace truly wasn’t possible between the two and Hitachi. But this was a good chance for Yoru to gain information and favours from Kiri shinobi, having a set of ruthless swordsmen on your side was never a bad thing.

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

"This war has been a long one, even the great nation of Water with its desire for fighting and strength has seen their impulses dim to an extent with all that occurred over the past half a decade. A moment of peaceful reprieve would be welcomed I'm sure." Hitachi was likewise honest in his response, glancing over towards the smaller man beside him as each of his ears twitched lightly. Each of them picking up on different sounds around the ship and the whispers of others that the two powerful shinobi would pass in the gangways on this level of the ship, each person they passed stepping aside politely allowing for the two men to pass. Partially out of respect for Hitachi himself being a member of the famed swordsman was enough to let those who didn't know him personally to understand the level of strength that he was at to be acknowledged by the renown group. Then of course their was the 'The White Eyed Demon of the Leaf' who's name was well known during the content of the Great War that destroyed nations in its wake.

The combination of the pair was enough to make nearly anyone step aside wither from just respect for the powerful men or sheer fear of the repercussions from accidently offending either one of this duo. "But in the end it is Lord Mizukage-sama and his will that we as Kiri shinobi follow to the very end." Though peace would be a good alternative Hitachi, and other Kiri shinobi, truly only followed the orders of one man, the Mizukage. A position that had to be taken by force and was something only the strongest and ruthless were able to hold onto. The face that Kasai had managed to hold its place for nearly a decade spoke enough to the village of his level of strength. Thinking of what his Lord might do even caused his face to twitch slightly, he was a scary individual to even a man like Hitachi or the other swordsman. "Though it'll still be a while before we land in Water country, so please enjoy some dinner with us."

Though it was a bit forced to speak in this manner for the swordsman, it wasn't him being fake or putting up false pretenses really, just the swordsman attempting to keep up a respectful appearance and not let the atmosphere sink to low with talk of the war...most were tired of it and wished to put it behind them but Kiri shinobi were a proud people and retelling such things were common. But in this company he felt it best to just proceed with dinner. A handful of different seafood dishes had been prepared with bowls of rice and noodles, then a few other places of vegetables that were all placed along the center of a long table that was surrounded by smaller tables around the edge of the decent sized eating area. Off to the left of the room the smell of still cooking food lingered out with a refreshing and pleasant smell. Already at the table was the man's slave and his partner along with another female shinobi who could be attractive, but her half face mask and large robe hid most of her body from view be her and the other two go up and greeted the Konoha-nin politely.

The woman was Kura, their was the second Hitachi, and lastly was the canine man's personal slave Ni. After initial greetings were giving a young man and woman with white chef outfits emerged with plates, silverware, and cups for the group before asking what they wished to drink. The fox eared man motioned for Yoru to go first, after collecting the various drink orders the man would disappear to fetch them as the female chef seemed to stand by if they needed anything else. "Let us enjoy a good meal as the seas have calmed, in the morning we will arrive within out homeland." The muscular man lifted his cup, filled with a sweet tea for the moment as he abstained from breaking into the sake that was at the table just yet while his counter part had a small cup of sake and Ni only took some water for herself. With that dinner would proceed as the buffet like set up allowed for the group to chat and eat with one another as they wished.

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Yoru followed the man and listened intently to what he said, it was good to hear that the village followed the will of the Mizukage almost without hesitation, meaning Yoru only had to persuade one man to bring in an era of peace. Though of course that would be easier said than done, their two nations had been enemies longer than Yoru could remember, it was time to bring that to an end.

The pair arrived at the dining area, slave women and attractive female kunoichi filled the table. His single hazel eye almost rolled, he understand what they we’re trying to offer and not that Yoru didn’t enjoy the company of women, but he wasn’t the right person to sweeten up with female persuasions. Perhaps if the guest had of being the Hokage it would be a different story entirely.

None the less he would make sure to enjoy himself, though the presence of slaves was a difficult pill for him to swallow. Taking his seat, he poured himself a drink “Thank you for the hospitality.” He said loudly for everyone to hear him as he began to tuck into the food “Can any of you girls sing? I always like a sing song at a party.” He said with a soft chuckle trying to keep the mood light.

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

OOC: Haha. "Perhaps if the guest had of being the Hokage it would be a different story entirely." This made me laugh more than it should have.

The men and women seated at the table nodded and smiled back at the Konoha bannin who had joined them for the evening meal, there being no discrepancies between man or woman at the table as in the eyes of the Kiri village, strength was the only thing that mattered. Gender, race, religion? None of it mattered to the village, only the strength which one could bring to the battlefield in the name of the village. "Thank you for joining us." The fox eared swordsman's ears twitched lightly as he spoke, nodding along with the others as he did so take a seat across from Yoru as the food and drinks were brought out and served to the crew. Of course, this meal was a bit more extravagant than what would have normally been served on this short voyage, but the swordsman and crew were under rather strict orders to ensure the comfort and safety of the foreign shinobi.

"Sing?" The foxy man chuckled as a pair of chuunin who were standing near one of the doorways acting as some form of local security, despite the strength of those seated at the table, turned to look at one another. One male and one female, both having similar features that could lead one to believe that they were most likely related. Though as they looked at one another a half smirk appeared on their lips simultaneously as from the corner of his eyes Hisato caught the gesture and the left hand with its long, manicured nails rubbed his forehead a bit because he could see what was coming next. "Well, Nii and Gii over there can sing a bit..." Before he could finish the pair brought out a pair of scrolls as though it was a rehearsed action as the pair leaped forward swirling the scrolls out to their full length as they spun around and from a poof of smoke from each a musical instrument from appeared in the hands of the brother and sister.

One was a small string instrument like a Japanese Koto that fell into the boy's hands and into his sister's hands fell a flute like Shinobue. The instruments began to play in a rather whimsical tune that gave the odd atmosphere a bit of energy before the young girl began to sing a few words. It wasn't bad but for someone with such sensitive hearing as the Fox man it was a bit cringy to say the least, but for his guest he didn't put a stop to the pair like he normally had done in the past. With that the sounds of song and laughter could be heard from outside the dining cabin as the pair were allowed to play a handful of songs before Hitachi finally gave them a sideways glance that it was time to wrap things up...

"In the morning we'll be arriving at the port, then it'll be about half a day travel over land to reach the village. I'm interested to see how your talks go with our Lord..." The dinner was settling down as the large eared man slowly sipped on a cup of warm sake, glancing over to their guest as he spoke. As part of the old swordsman, he was surprised to find that Lord Kasai had reached out to Konoha for diplomatic reasons...but he supposed everyone was tired of the Great War...even the famed Reaper.
