Like many other shinobi, Abari had a habit of ignoring his weaknesses as long as he possibly could until his strengths could no longer carry the burden. Yet again, the time had come for him to address his abysmal genjutsu skills. Last time, Kiyo was the one to give him a hand, but things have been a bit weird between them lately. She clearly had a lot going on, so he was not going to bother her. Plus, he could use a break from the torture. But he had run into another problem. Ren didn’t know the first thing about genjutsu either. So the boy put in a formal training request. It was such a rare occurrence that many people didn’t even know the process existed. But Abari wasn’t big on making friends, so he figured he’d have the village find him a suitable training partner. With luck, they would find someone who was also looking to do a bit of genjutsu training. Otherwise, he might have to go with his last resort: asking his mother. The very thought made him cringe with embarrassment. So instead, he waited for a response from the village.

A few days later, he got a response letter and was told to meet someone named “Yuuto” at the training grounds. Abari got there early, deciding to get his morning training out of the way first. Unfortunately, he would not be able to go through the full training regimen, but at least he’d get a bit of exercise in for the day. After a quick workout and practicing some kata, he noticed someone approaching. With a smile and a bow, Abari introduced himself.

“Itotsuki, Abari. Pleasure to meet you!”

The prominent dagger of the Seven Swordsmen had been contacted to help someone named "Abari" to train genjutsu, which was fantastic as he was still very much a rookie at it, in fact, the real reason why Yuuto himself had lacked in that department was because he himself lacked a training partner, so when the request had arrived he gladely accepted it.

Like most training days, he always made sure to have a scroll ready with prewritten techniques, he'd usually ask his fathers assistants or anyone within the Seven Swordsmen organization, usually it was various taijutsu techniques but seeing as this was all Genjutsu, he'd had have to use the old scroll his father had given him. The spoiled rich kid arrived right on time, he was shocked to see Abari be there before him as this was an unusual occurance.

What was even worse was that Abari bowed to Yuuto, another unusual occurance as most Kiri members tended to look down on Yuuto, perhaps times had slowly been changing? Nevertheless, the respectful kid bowed back as he greeted him. "The pleasure is mine. Hopefully we can get through some training and master some new techniques today."

The white haired Karagata stood straight, he removed his mirror shield from his back and held it with his right hand and mentally prepared for what would come next.

“I suppose I’ll go first.”

Abari opened up the scroll he had brought with him and went over the contents. The genjutsu was initiated by pricking the target with some sort of small weapon. Once initiated, it would cause the sensation of one’s limbs falling asleep. It was an incredibly basic genjutsu, but that did not mean it was going to be easy. With a shrug, the red haired swordsman rolled the scroll back up and grabbed a senbon.

“I’m going to need to prick you with this. Just a heads up.”

With that the boy threw the senbon at Yuuto and upon contact, channeled his chakra and tried to initiate the genjutsu. Abari had a difficult time trying to figure out the right application and balance. It was fundamentally different from ninjutsu and he had put off training genjutsu for far too long. Focusing as much as he could, the red haired swordsman felt the chakra very briefly produce the desired effect before ultimately dispersing. Abari grew frustrated at his inability to pull the jutsu off on his first try. This was something many genin straight out of the academy could do! Taking a deep breath, the red haired swordsman tried to quiet his negative thoughts. Putting himself down would only make the process more difficult. After perusing the scroll’s contents one more time to make sure that he had done everything correct, Abari took a deep breath and tried again.

“Sorry, one more time.”

Throwing another senbon, the red haired swordsman channeled his chakra as it made contact with his training partner. He closed his eyes to focus, a dumb idea in combat but it would work for at least initially learning the jutsu. Abari felt his chakra and tried to zero in on the desired effect. He needed to alter Yuuto’s sense of touch, so he thought back to his studies on the chakra pathway system. Visualizing it in his mind seemed to help as the red haired swordsman found the proper application and balance required to produce the desired effect. He held it for a moment, waiting for the chakra to disperse but after a few moments, nothing happened. Opening his eyes he studied his training partner. All the effects would be in Yuuto’s mind so there was no physical representation of the genjutsu having worked. While Abari was quite confident that it did, he felt the need to ask to make sure.

“Did it work?”

Yuuto listened to Abari and took a deep breath, he knew that the next part of the training would be rather interesting as he didn't expect to be a test target, in fact he had no idea how they were supposed to train Genjutsu as it was all pretty new to him, he had only really been training this lately and if memory served him right they used to train on people who were not part of their training, well...

That wasn't really true, they used to train on ninjas that trained Willpower, Yuuto almost wanted to train his will but he knew better, so instead he focused on his return jutsu while Abari prepared for his. He said that he was going to prick Yuuto, which was generally fine, seeing as the kid for all he knew was immortal. "Don't worry about me, as far as I know, nothing can really put me down for good." Yuuto kept the rest to himself as he didn't fully trust Abari as of now but if he was keen on listening to others then the man before him should know little about Yuuto's reputation.

Not only was he Shiv's kid but he was as far as people knew pretty much undestructable, either way the kid started to visualise the Genjutsu he was about to cast on Abari, he was going to channel chakra and then slam his shield to create a loud noise that would shake his vision and mess with his hearing in order to allow Yuuto to get the upperhand in close quarter combat. So once the first senbon hit him he would begin to channel, but once Abari apologised he would nodd and continue to channel.

The second senbon hit his right arm, and immediately he could feel how the chakra spread within his mind and his right hand fell numb, Wow, the guy isn't bad, I could feel the effect immediately. Yuuto stared at his arm for a brief second before he fought through the numbness and grabbed his Amendment. "Yeah, my arm feels numb... " He struggled for a second, then his mind seemed to be able to move it, albeit a bit slower as he was still struggling to fight through the numbness.

"This is going to be a bit of a nousiance." Yuuto slammed the sword against his mirror shield, the sound would be filled with his genjutu chakra and once they hit Abaris ear and anyone listening within the vacinity, his vision would tripple as his ears would repeat the metallic bell sound produced by the shield slam.

Once the genjutsu succeeded he would cancel it in order to spare his comrade the headache.

The user channels chakra or performs the necessary hand seals before they slam their sword against their shield, if the targets hear the sound of the weapons clashing then they are caught within the genjutsu. Their vision tripples as they continously hear the clashing sound, drowning out any noise outside of the ringing sound, this genjutsu messes with the targets senses, making it harder for them to fight in close quarter combat for the next 4 posts.

Yamato had been ordered by the higher ups to keep a tab on those loyal to the other families. Tensions within the village were rising and recently his orders had been focused more on home than abroad. The Heart conflict was something the Family saw it pertinent for him to be apart of to ensure they would have favorable outcomes in the future. His recent return to the village meant he was taking the day to reorientate himself and adjust to being a sociable person again. Or at least, put on the mask of one. Yamato was deep in his own thoughts before the sound of combat within the training grounds broke his concentration.

Ah.

His curiosity got the better of him and it didn't take him long to make his way to the field to find two people already deep in the throws of training before stopping 20 meters from them. The blank look on his face slowly transformed into a grin as he realized just who the two people were; one of them he had no idea but the other was the 7th Swords Dagger. Some fellow by the name of Yuuto.

"Is this what the Swordsmen consider worthy nowadays? Pathetic." Yamato spat out as his body glowed blue with chakra and he slapped his hands together in front of himself. From his fingertips, a condensed beam of blood shot towards Yuuto intent on piercing him through.

Just as soon as the ringing hit Abari’s ears, it stopped. That was a hell of a genjutsu! If this were a real fight, the red-haired swordsman would have been at a serious disadvantage. He wasn’t given much time to think about it, however, as a stranger called out to them. For some reason, they felt the need to taunt Yuuto. Not long after a projectile was shot Yuuto’s way, Abari dashed towards the newcomer. Whoever they were, they were now a threat. While he did have some ninjutsu, Abari was not confident in his long-range capabilities, plus he wanted to put some pressure on their opponent. He trusted Yuuto to be able to handle the incoming attack on his own, he wasn’t a Dagger for nothing. In the meantime, Abari performed some hand seals as he attempted to close the distance, creating a clone of himself. Side-by-side with his copy, he reached max speed.

”Of all the times to attack a Dagger why did you have to choose when I’m training with them?”

Seriously, Abari could not catch a break! All he wanted to do was learn some genjutsu, and now he found himself about to fight a Kaguya. With a mental sigh, the red-haired swordsman kept an eye on the newcomer. He would need to be ready for another one of those attacks.

Yuuto was rather content that the genjutsu had worked, he knew that with time they would probably be able to train stronger techniques which would help them subdue enemies, that was the purpose of their training no? What shocked him though was the stranger that came from nowhere, usually the well versed Karagata knew most people around his strength level as they had one way or another taunted or said something off color about the son of Shiv, so when Yamato stepped in the scene and began talking down to the Dagger it was all par for the course.

Yuuto tilted his head to the side before his eyes narrowed, once he saw that Yamato channeled chakra, so would he. Is he going to attack us!? Yuuto wasn't sure what was going on but his instinct told him to raise his shield, the blood beam struck his shield causing another banging sound which would act as a genjutsu trigger, if Yamato heard it then he would see Yuuto still stand by the beam and block it while the real version would roll on the ground then channel chakra again, "Don't let this lunatic out of your sight, Abari!" He shouted as he rushed towards him and shouted "Hop", if Yamato saw this action then what would come next would appear to be Yuuto leap attacking.

This again would only be an illusion as the real one continued to rush forwards to shield bash him, he would use Abari's distraction plus his genjutsu to hide his real intentions. Yuuto knew that whoever this man was, he was clearly deranged as he had chosen to attack the duo without rhyme or reason.

A clone of Yuuto will stand in its place as if he is still ready to shield a strike, this genjutsu is perfect for a follow up strike. Last for one post.

Magic Jump Attack!
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
After channeling or forming the correct set of hand seals, Yuuto stomps and then shouts as if he is about to jump attack, if the target sees this action then genjutsu will initiate. Within this genjutsu a clone will be created in his place, it will jump attack the target, its strike is wide open and is created for the target to attempt to strike it, only to find out that it was an illusion. Lasts for one post.

D-Rank Maneuver Taijutsu
The user raises their shield and rushes towards their target, if the user has higher strength then the target will be knocked down, otherwise they will end up dazed, either way this technique causes a (-1 Will) to the target for 3 posts.

The wild smile painted across Yamato's lips stayed there as the unknown shinobi began to rush him and created a clone to follow suit. He was not who Yamato cared to take care of right now but was actually pretty fast and closing in on him sooner than Yuuto was able to. The screaming beam of blood impacted against the shield with a wet crunch and ricocheted downwards and back before it ricocheted once more towards the clone from its blind spot with its aim set on his center mass.

"And who the hell are you?" Yamato asked as Abari got closer, his attention now shifted to the red head, and he leapt to his left while channeling once more. His claps once more came together as blood seeped out from underneath his fingers with a squelching pop as it formed into a chakram and was launched at Abari with Yuuto in the path of the projectile if Abari dodged it due to his leap. As he touched down, he immediately pushed off the ground once more this time towards Abari and Yuuto with his left hand coming around for a hook punch towards Abari's chest. The familiar glow of channeling surrounded him again as three blood red bone claws sprout from the knuckles on his left hand mid swing in an attempt to catch whoever met his swing off guard.

"Let me guess, another wannabe Seven Swordsmen? Playing pretend at being some big and bad shinobi? Just like all the rest!" Yamato taunted as his blow closed in.

The user will grow 3 claws from between their knuckles on one of their hands, allowing them to attack and scratch with them. The blood from the bone claws coming through the skin will form a cover over them and seep into dealt wounds as a set up for another Chiton jutsu.

Yuuto couldn't believe it, from the second Abari had contacted him to train and become a better genjutsu caster, to him actually learning how to mold the chakra in a way that his ideas could formulate into an actual attack to him having to face someone who he had never seen before, what was this day? What was it accumulating towards? Everything got his mind wandering because he knew that if he pulled off the wrong move then he would most likely end up dealing with consequences that he couldn't forsee.

Who is this guy? What does he truly want from us? He keeps talking about how we are not up to scratch, how we are pathetic? From my understanding of Abari, he's someone Mondai told me to be weary of, a man that not only I could rely on but would one day become someone I truly needed to be careful of. Yuuto couldn't believe that Yamato had forced him to consider who he partnered up with, especially since this wasn't a regular occurance, in fact, this had been the first time in years that he had chosen to leave the Karagata compound to hang out with someone outside of Mondai and now he was forced to make sure that their reputation wasn't tarnished by a random outsider.

So he grit his teeth and prepared for what would come, with thinking share a look at the true Abari and make sure that he understood he didn't need to worry about him, so he prepared to either defend against the blood chakram or continue with his onslaught, he would still shout out and cause the clone to leap against Yamato, a fake clone would leap towards Abari but he had the advantage of knowing that this was all a genjutsu as they had already set up for the training. So instead of charging Yamato with his shield, he would slash downwards and destroy the chakram with Amendment before channeling chakra to his throat for he needed to figure out a way to make sure that whatever the man before him had planned would come to an end.

I don't know what you are planning but, in the end, you are the one who's stepped over the line. Your games end now! Enough!" Yuuto shouted as his chakra would follow the sound, anyone who heard his voice would be caught within his genjutsu. Doubt would fill their minds as they began to feel like they messed with the wrong guy, how their actions were wrong and how they might have stepped over the line. Yuuto would grow mentally in their mind as he seemed to carry far more authority than they did, basically they would feel like a child being told by their parents that they needed to behave or they would be punished, aka they got scolded.

Abari had been waiting for the next Chiton attack so he quickly prepared a defensive jutsu but to his surprise, the chakram headed towards Yuuto who promptly sliced it mid-flight. The red-haired swordsman prepared to cut this strange Kaguya down, but was caught off-guard by the man’s speed. Quickly jumping a few steps back, he bitterly responded to his opponent’s taunting.

“It doesn’t matter who I am. All that matters is that someone puts a leash on a mad dog like you.”

A shout came from behind him and shortly after Abari was overcome with a sense of confusion. Why was Yuuto so angry? Had he done something wrong? Maybe he should not have been so quick to dive into a fight. Looking back over towards Yuuto, the red-haired swordsman apologized.

“I’m sorry. I acted on instinct.”

The sense of confusion only grew in Abari’s mind as he continued to think about his current situation. Why did his sparring partner seem so much more intimidating than earlier? Was he only now exhibiting his strength as a Dagger? Something seemed wrong about the situation but Abari could not put his finger on it. Concentrating further, the red-haired swordsman was able to push through the brain fog just enough to remember a key detail: Yuuto was a genjutsu user. With the sudden realization that he was likely under an illusion, Abari channeled his chakra within. A quick survey of his own chakra circulatory system would help him identify where the disruption was and hopefully how to go about expelling the foreign chakra.

Abari had always been terrible at this kind of thing. Ninjutsu came naturally to him and taijutsu was something he had honed with consistent training, but he had always been hopeless when it came to genjutsu. With a furrowed brow, Abari tried to concentrate further. It was not long before he found what seemed to be the source of the illusion. He was not confident, but he needed to do something quick. There was no promise that the Kaguya would fall for the same genjutsu, and if he did, Abari needed to make sure he was the first one to recover. With a deep breath, the red-haired swordsman performed a kai. Just as he did, the urge to fight returned to him and while he respected Yuuto’s strength, he no longer looked at his sparring partner as a source of great authority. Wasting no time, Abari took a few more steps back and entered a fighting stance. He needed to be ready if their attacker decided to continue his assault.

The bloody chakram impacted against the downward slash of Yuuto and splashed every where in the vicinity. The momentum of the projectile meant the majority of it splashed across Yuuto's body and shield. The portions of it that did splash on him would begin to burn fiercely as if he was on fire while whatever got on his shield would begin to eat away at it. The trail of blood on the ground left by his Piercing Blood sat underneath Abari, between his feet, as he came to a stop. The acid in it was melting away at the floor and causing an acrid smell to creep into the air. Yamato's surprise slash with the bloody bone claws failed to strike Abari in time due to the shinobi deciding to fall back instead of coming into melee range of the Kaguya. The grin on his face continued to sit there and taunt them and it was only the tantrum thrown by Yuuto that drew his attention. He felt a wave of nervousness and anxiety wash over him at the thought of getting yelled at by the Karagata but immediately a searing pain shot through his head following it. The brainwashing and teachings instilled into him by his clan and the Kawazaiwa were too physically ingrained for some mere genjutsu to override his core beliefs.

Him? Listening to a Karagata?

"Crossing a line!? You Karagata dogs crossed a line by accepting that traitor Li into your ranks! The only one playing games here is you!" Yamato let out a yell at the pain as his now-bloodshot eyes found the white haired shinobi and his anger skyrocketed rather than calmed as the two ideologies fought in his head. Rather than focusing on who was right and who was wrong, Yamato's eyes shifted to Abari who was mid way through casting the familiar Kai seal. Following in tandem, Yamato's chakra flared as he set a refreshing wave of purging chakra throughout his brain. It didn't take long for the feeling of clashing authority to fade and following it, the Kaguya wasted no time and began to channel his chakra once more. Yamato felt around for the blood splashed around the area by his previous jutsu by concentrating on the miniscule remnants of his chakra in the blood. Finding the embers of his previous jutsu was the most difficult part as he began to concentrate chakra into the blood splatters beneath Abari's feet, on Yuuto and his equipment, and around the two Seven Swordsmen aligned Kirigakure shinobi. As Yamato channeled into it, he could feel his chakra strengthen whatever remained as if he was adding logs to a fire. At first it was slow to build but as it grew and accumulated, the fire grew into a roaring blaze. His smile once more widened as the blood on the ground between Abari's feet and splashed around Yuuto was charged with his chakra and bent to his whim.

Rather than create a Convergence: Supernova right in the palm of his hand, Yamato copied the same principle and technique into the already spent blood from his previous jutsu still wet on the floor. The blood began to quickly accumulated together in between the two shinobi and grew in size before reaching a critical mass. The orb of blood exploded into a piercing bloody rain filling the space between the two and bathing them in the hail of acidic buckshot. In the midst of the explosion, Yamato would slink away to his benefactors to report who he had run into today.

B-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user will channel and cause blood they've already splashed around the battlefield to form into a large sphere of blood 1 meter in diameter able to move with [Control] Speed. Once within range of a target, the sphere will explode with [Control] Strength and spray blood buckshot within a radius of 5 meters with [Control] Strength and Speed.

As the Kaguya spoke, Abari realized exactly what was going on. Their attacker was a radical from the Kawazaiwa family. This whole situation was getting out of hand! Did those idiots not realize that this feud between the families was only going to weaken Kirigakure in the long run? Getting ready for the inevitable next offensive, Abari looked for an opening. It seemed that whatever jutsu the Kaguya had used made the blood caustic, so he would have to be even more wary of the attacks. He was caught off-guard by the sphere of blood forming out of the pile of blood from the chakram earlier. Whatever the Kaguya was about to do could not be good. Abari ran in one direction and called for his clone to stand between him and the sphere. There was not much time given to act as the orb erupted, sending blood flying in all directions. The clone was blown apart by the attack but managed to provide moderate protection to its creator. Abari was not able to walk away unharmed, however. His quick thinking had managed to save him from any direct hits, but the caustic blood had grazed his right arm, slowly burning through his kimono and directly onto his skin.

Quickly tearing his sleeve, he cleaned the blood off of him before returning his focus to his opponent. It seemed that their attacker had used the chaos to create an opportunity to flee. Did they realize that they had bit off more than they could chew and escaped while they could? Or was some unknown goal accomplished? Either way, Abari had to admit he was relieved. Whoever that guy was, he was a serious threat. An encounter like that was all the more reason for Abari to work harder towards getting stronger. Once he was sure that their attacker would not be returning, the red-haired swordsman tore off his other sleeve and used Iijutsu to sterilize and use it as a bandage to cover his wounds with.

“People are getting crazier by the day, huh? Let’s not let that ruin our training, though! Let’s get back to it. I’m not very happy with how easily I fell under that genjutsu earlier, so how about we try putting me under another one? Hopefully, I’ll get better at escaping them.”

The burns were somewhat painful but easily ignored, and now that they were covered, Abari was not worried about the wound getting infected. It would not interrupt his training. Turning back towards Yuuto, he made sure to not drop his guard completely. Who knew when that psycho would return?

Yuuto couldn't believe his luck, somehow, the blood started to corrode his skin and clothes, he could hear how it sizzled but his mind was still determined, he was going to stop this man one way or another. You can only fight for so long, especially if you continuously cast spells. Yuuto gritted his teeth as proceeded to rush Yamato, but stopped once he spotted that not only did the man fight through his genjutsu, Li!? Word travels fast... I need to make sure to warn Shinjiro about this situation once I get the chance. which came as a great surprise but he seemed to be able to focus enough to form another set of hand seals.

"My genjutsu didn't work! Prepare yourself for his attack, Abari!"

Knowing that he controlled blood and could somehow manipulate it to be acidic, he knew that he would have to play things smart unless he wanted to get injured, he wanted to sigh but knew that he had far too little time to figure out a plan, instead, he would have to trust his instinct, his original plan was to toss his sword and switch places with it in order to position himself better and block most of it from harming Abari but seeing as he cooked up his own plan, Yuuto figured that it would be better for him to focus on his own survival and considering that the acid was burning into through the first skin barrier he would have to hurry up and remove the blood soon.

Yuuto lept into the air and raised his shield to cover most of his body as the supernova exploded, due to him being so close to the blast it sent him flying backward, he bounced off the ground before sliding to a halt as he dug the sword into the ground. "Curses, he vanished... Do you know who he was?" Yuuto sheathed his sword before he looked over at his wounds, he knew that he either had to attend to them now or just pour some water over the acid and hope that they would wash away, either way, his regeneration would take care of it, though his chakra reserves were starting to run a bit low.

"Fine, let me just pour some water on my wounds then we can go at it again." Yuuto looked over at his comrade before taking a peek around the battlefield, as far as he knew Abari wasn't a sensor, which meant that the madman could return whenever. "I do wonder what his problem was... Though I guess that's an issue for another time." Yuuto thought about what type of Genjutsu they could use in a pinch, maybe one that could soothe the situation, perhaps even calm their comrades down, especially if they were either in a panicked state or pumped full of adrenaline.

So Yuuto channeled chakra throughout his body before placing his hands together in a prayer pose and then lowered his hands down to his center, if Abari spotted this then he would be caught within the genjutsu, where he would sense how his heart started to slow down, how his adrenaline would dissipate and peace started to enter his mind frame. This wasn't exactly a combat jutsu but he knew that there were some good applications for this, especially if someone were to heal you.

Glad to have returned to training, Abari got ready for whatever genjutsu that Yuuto was about to throw his way. There was a moment of silence between them before the red-haired swordsman started to think something had gone wrong. Nothing was happening. He did not see any illusions or feel any emotions overcoming him. In fact, he did not really feel any emotions at all. Abari was actually feeling calm, which is an extremely rare thing for someone as anxious as him. That was odd, especially right after an unexpected fight with a stranger. It was then that it finally hit him, this was the genjutsu. Abari was so caught up in the idea of adverse effects that he had not even considered that one might use genjutsu to calm their target. There were quite a few ways he could see this being applied, but he could not help but think that it would work fantastically in a medical setting. One of the difficulties of being a combat medic is that your patient will often be sent into a panic and start to interfere with your operation.

Snapping back into focus, Abari closed his eyes and felt around his chakra circulatory system for the interference. When it came to injuries in the circulatory system or simply identifying foreign chakras, Abari could manage fairly easily. The subtlety of genjutsu, however, always managed to elude him. It took a little while before the red-haired swordsman finally identified the source of the genjutsu, but he wasted no time in attempting to kai out of it once he did. Channeling his chakra, Abari attempted to cleanse his system. After waiting a moment, he concluded that his attempt had failed, evidenced by the fact that he wasn’t feeling frustrated in the slightest.

Oddly content with simply trying again, Abari once again focused on the source of the genjutsu and channeled his chakra. This time he was a little more careful with his chakra output as he attempted to kai out of the genjutsu. With a sudden flow of chakra, Abari felt his normal levels of anxiety start to return. With a smile, he turned back towards Yuuto.

“That was a good one! I think the calming effect actually helped me break the genjutsu. I’m starting to get the hang of this.”

He was still a complete amateur when it came to identifying and escaping genjutsu, but the red-haired swordsman could tell that he was getting slightly better. After a heavy sigh, he prepared himself once again.

“Let’s keep going. Practice whatever you want, don’t be afraid to use something a little more serious."

Yuuto was proud of his comrade, though truth be told he wasn't all that sure about genjutsu himself, he just seemed to have a knack for it, Taijutsu had always been Yuuto's jam but recently he just couldn't seem to get enough of Genjutsu, to be able to knock people out without touching them was too intriguing for the pacifist, he wanted to learn jutsu that could maybe even deter fighting, to begin with, that way he could possibly talk people down from risking their lives best would be if he could create a genjutsu that made them even more susceptible to not even want to be part of the situation they found themselves in, although he did think that it was a bit preposterous to create a genjutsu that made you want to stop being a ninja.

Yuuto chuckled as he began to form a set of hand seals. "I am going to try a weaker one, I will have to create 2 more Jutsu above these in order to try out an A-Rank genjutsu I have been planning out. Hopefully, we have enough chakra to pull them off, though..." Yuuto looked down as he stopped forming the set of hand seals as he breathed out. "I think we shouldn't be afraid of letting you cast some genjutsu as well Abari, or are you just here to learn how to deal with Genjutsu and then move on with your life?"

That's what most people did, they learned the important information that they needed and then used their ability to combat the effect rather than truly learn from it, Yuuto wasn't different until he realized what he had done, how much of his training he had forgone for no reason, hence why he was here to train. He had picked up some jutsu during his adventure out fighting Heart Empire but knew that they were still severely lacking. He finished his set of hand seals then reached for his sword, he slammed it to the ground and caused the earth to shake for a second.

What Abari would see is that dust would kick up in the air and cover his field of vision, this was the genjutsu that magnified the situation and made it appear far worse than it actually was, this Jutsu was going to be used in order to not only appear stronger but to create a fake smog, to allow the Yuuto to reposition himself.

“I’d like to work on defending against genjutsu for the moment. It is undeniably important to learn both offense and defense, but I think I’ll learn more about genjutsu at the moment by breaking out of them.”

After speaking, Yuuto would perform the next jutsu and before Abari realized it, his vision was obscured by dust. Rather than the dust settling, the haze lingered and he lost sight of Yuuto. It did not take long for Abari to realize that this was the effect of the genjutsu. It was a very simple technique, but undeniably had its use in combat. If this were a real fight, Yuuto would likely already have started attacking him. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and focused on his chakra flow. He was starting to get more familiar with the process of identifying the source of the illusion. Shortly after starting the process, he found what he was looking for and shifted his focus to fixing the disruption in his system.

Having done this a few times already today, Abari had a better idea of how to utilize his chakra to free himself from the genjutsu. After trying to gauge the right amount, he performed a kai seal and sent a wave of chakra throughout his system, attempting to break the illusion. Feeling the chakra cleanse his system, Abari slowly opened his eyes and found that the dust had cleared. He was getting faster at this, with luck he would be able to properly defend himself in a combat situation. Having escaped yet another genjutsu, Abari was pleased with the pace in which he was improving. Yuuto was a good choice of training partner.

“That was a pretty good one. Simple, yet effective. I’m starting to get the hang of this. Did you have any more you wanted to test out?”

The Karagata understood his assignment, and though the constant casting of Genjutsu was starting to get him weary he was not going to stop. He had found a good training partner, they managed to survive a strange assassination attempt of sorts and bounced back to training without a hitch. He canceled the previous genjutsu and immediately went on to train the following one once his partner had given him the go-ahead.

Ironically the boy hadnät figured out what he was going to train as he had covered most of his bases as of now, but he knew better than to not show face when time was in action. He could go the easy route and just ask Abari but considering that he had been contacted then it was up to the Karagata to prove his wittiness. So instead what he did was open his scroll and read through it in order to figure out a new jutsu to train.

But during that time he would cast another genjutsu, a previous one just to allow Abari to train as he figured out what he would train next. This is so awkward, I never thought that I would choke in front of my comrade... Wow. Yuuto scratched the back of his head as he finished casting the bell genjutsu, causing Abari's vision to triple and his head to be filled with a bell ringing, all in order to buy himself time and allow his partner to train.

He snapped his fingers, holstered the shield and he started forming the needed hand seals. "I got it friend" Once he finished the seal he would grab his sword and channel chakra to it then raise it above his head. If Abari saw this action he would be captured within the genjutsu and would start seeing how the water bat doubled in size.

Yuuto let the sword crash down in front of him in order to add effect to the genjutsu. "Oh wow, I didn't expect that." The dagger laughed as he looked at his comrade. He pulled the sword up and let it rest on his shoulder, trying to act all cool. "One could use Genjutsu to fool the enemy into believing you are stronger, or fake extend your weapons range. Although, depending on the Jutsu's rank you might not be able to harm them... This reminds me that I should probably write that idea down." Yuuto raised a finger before he scribbled down the genjutsu idea.

Ever since Kozan’s promotion to Jounin, Shinjiro had been eager to find a new Dagger and fill out the last available slot within the Seven Swordsmen. There was one man that stood far above the rest and had caught the overseer's eye. Itotsuki Abari, A Special Jounin that was only a year or two younger than Shinjiro himself. It was rather unorthodox, though he accepted only the best. Truthfully, the idea of taking him as a Dagger was more of a formality than anything. He intended on immediately replacing Mondai, barely deciding to spare the man after Kozan defeated him and joined the Seven. Mondai’s only purpose was to be a stepping stone for the others. He was given another chance to grow stronger and should he not show sign of significant growth he would be removed permanently. The mission report had highlighted that where Mondai’s resolve had failed, Abari had the conviction to do whatever was necessary.

And so, Shinjiro had been keeping a watchful eye on the man, at least as best he could given his many responsibilities. With threats against the Karagata becoming ever more common, he kept a close guard over his immediate family. He had many informants throughout the village, not nearly as extensive as the Hirohito network but notable nonetheless. When he had gotten word that Abari and Yuuto had been sighted training together he felt compelled to take the opportunity to test them both. What he hadn’t expected was for another to arrive before him.

In the form of a marsh owl he moved silently through the Kirigakure’s dark skies. From a distance of 200 meters he observed the tail end of the confrontation as the Kaguya man fled into the mists. He could have hunted the man down, but he was deemed a low priority threat. He was more curious how Abari and Yuuto would react after managing to fend the man off. ‘They’ve kept their composure at least’ he observed, though he became quite displeased after watching them for several minutes afterward as they simply continued to train and drain their chakra reserves. ‘Hubris. They hardly have any survival instincts at all’ he noted. When an enemy fled it was reasonable to think they were gathering reinforcements or otherwise reporting back their findings and coming up with a new plan of attack. At the very least the pair should have left the area and remained on high alert, instead they simply made themselves easier targets, allowing any assassin to simply wait for the perfect time to strike. For all they knew the Kaguya could still be in the mists biding his time to finish them once they were exhausted. Such foolishness would not go unpunished.

Landing, Shinjiro would transform into a likeness of the Kaguya man. Then, approaching with the utmost silence he would near to 50 meters, keeping to the mists and trees and out of their line of sight. Despite being the leader of the Mists legendary swordsman, Shinjiro was a remarkably skilled assassin, perfecting the Karagata families techniques that made them infamous for wetwork. But while he could incapacitate or dispose of them over a dozen different ways, he opted to make a spectacle befitting the Kaguya they knew wanted them dead. He would first perform a series of handseals before approaching them as his skin began to leak blood, seeping from every pore an even his eyes before spraying outward in a dense mist. “You should have ran when you had the chance” he chuckled, emulating Yamato’s voice perfectly, having physically transformed into a perfect copy of his likeness. If they failed to impress him he would leave them wishing they had been killed by Yamato and saved from the Jinchuuriki’s wrath.

Upon entering this stance Shinji’s blood will run flush through his body, rising to the surface of his skin, turning it red and leaking out of his pores, even his eyes will redden. In addition to oozing out of his skin however his blood will begin to form an aura around him in a 15-meter radius that spreads at a speed equal to his strength that follows him as he moves, acting like a thin mist of blood that will soak into the clothes and any open orifices of anyone who enters the mist. This stance can last for up to 7 posts and upon dispersal the bloody mist will pulse outward to a 25-meter radius at a speed equal to his strength, shedding the rest of the blood on the surface of Shinji’s skin and anything soaked into his clothes before returning his skin tone to normal.

Abari got ready for the next genjutsu that Yuuto was about to use. Despite them all being very basic jutsu, having to break them repeatedly was starting to wear the red-haired swordsman down. Not only that, but the clone he had created during the fight with the Kaguya took a significant portion of chakra with it. He still had plenty left to train, but he would likely have to call it a day sometime soon. Abari was not given much time to appreciate Yuuto’s genjutsu as he heard a familiar voice call out to him. A look of disgust grew across Abari’s face as he turned back to the Kaguya. He was getting sick of this bastard.

“Your cowardice is an embarrassment to Kirigakure!”

Shinobi of the Mist fighting each other was nothing new. In fact, it was suspected. The sense of rivalry was a core trait of Kirigakure no Sato, and the competition encouraged a level of growth that was hard to replicate through other means. Abari had nothing but respect for the system that drove his village. But ambushing someone during training? It was disrespectful to everything that the rivalry system stood for. Such tactics were to be reserved for the enemy. To employ them on your fellow shinobi was spineless.

Abari performed a series of handseals and channeled Chiton chakra in order to make another clone of himself. This would not leave him much chakra to spare, but ninjutsu had never been Abari’s speciality in the first place. He didn’t know what jutsu the Kaguya was using, but one thing was for sure: he needed to steer clear of the blood. The little bit that had gotten on him earlier was caustic and burned right through his clothes. Close range combat would be a bad idea. So for now Abari simply took up the defensive, ready to intercept more of the ranged Chiton his opponent had used before.

To tell the truth, Yuuto had been enjoying this little training they had going, lately with the Heart invading and the noises of war made the Pacifist anxious. I should probably make sure to report this guy to Shinjiro, we could probably use a guy like that. Yuuto wasn't the strongest himself but he was indeed a warrior, albeit one that rather chose not to kill. He finished writing down the jutsu idea before his gaze at Abari and then at his wounds. "Smells awfully a lot like blood-" Yuuto was interrupted by Yamato's voice threatening them, causing him to shake in his boots for a brief second before Abari stepped up to the plate.

His words rang strong, they were powerful and frankly inspired Yuuto to dare to plant a foot forward. "We beat you once, we can do it again!" Yuuto tried to sound cocky as he raised his mirror shield, aiming what little reflection there was at Yamato's face, he hoped to blind the man and allow himself to buy some time for the duo, he knew that he was fast, could cast blood magic and was all around unpredictable, Maybe we should've left. Yuuto sighed as he channeled chakra to his shield, casting a genjutsu, using the blinding technique to set up a following jutsu, one that went hand in hand.

"NOW!" Yuuto would shout as he sheathed Amendment and grabbed Liberation instead then reactivated the water bat as he dashed in a half circle towards Yamato, he was going to be bait while Abari got to show off his cool abilities, speaking of, Yuuto was awakening his Heroic Link, a power bestowed to him by his unknown mother at the time, though different from hers as his way of life was to protect, not destroy. Yuuto slid to a halt and slammed the sword to the ground.

"Things won't be the same as last time buddy, you are going in, Shinjiro will want to talk with you!" Yuuto rushed towards Yamato and performed his genjutsu, the clone jumped towards Yamato and attempted to slice him while Yuuto ran in another half circle, in the opposite direction. He rushed him last time, so this time he wanted to fool him into attacking a ghost, but if he did notice him he would still keep his shield up and ready. I got your back Abari! But this time his eyes were only fixated on Yamato for now as Yuuto had made sure that he was closer to him.

During the entire time, he would try to draw attention to his sword, fidgeting with the weapon's mechanism to shift between swords, trying to catch their eye and get Yamato really hone in Yuuto. That way his shield's light would work better, for who said that he could only use it once, he could figure out a genjutsu that is triggered by it, but that was a thought for the future as this all happened during his previous actions.

The idea is to make them wonder what sword I will use next and give me the advantage of being able to pick and choose between strikes if I want, that way I can conserve chakra. That was the idea at least, hopefully, it would work in practition.

Yuuto had to admit that it was a bit harder than he thought, for he also had to put some focus on his fidgeting all the while learning a new jutsu on the fly. This fight will be one to remember, this time you are not going to escape! Abari was right about people like you, you are a loose canon. Yuuto couldn't help but not like Yamato, he was sure that he had his uses for Kirigakure but to attack allies during training, twice? That had to be a new record, no, this couldn't stand.

Yuuto's shield had been held firm all along the movements, once he had attempted to flash Yamato and ran he would make sure, as always to stay prepared for an incoming strike, though truth be told, he wasn't the fastest kid around, and wouldn't become that either until later in life, for now, he had to figure out ways that he could sneak in his heroic will. Whether it was through perception attacks, genjutsu, or actual strikes. Yamato wasn't leaving here, that was promised.

He didn't know what had come over him, but one thing was certain, Shinjiro would like Abari and he couldn't wait to get this over with, so he could sit and drink some tea with his uncle, hopefully, Kinsue would be around, that ghost was hard to spot when he disappeared. I am not the one to speak on this matter. Yuuto had hidden his smirk, he was far too focused on dealing with Yamato and his tricky ways.

"Adapt and grow stronger, if you fall get back up or die."- Shinjiro. Words that almost echoed his father to the t, so far Yuuto hadn't laid down and he wasn't about to start either.

Yuuto begins to fidget with Liberations handles, switching between the stored sword and the collection of them, this can be used to fight flawlessly in-between strikes and even used to set up multiple combos. To keep up with Yuuto's changing of tactics the targets would need a Perception tech of equal rank or higher, otherwise, his hand will move like a blur in-between switches.

Shinji, wearing the face of Kaguya Yamato, smirked. He had heard much about Abari and his rise through the ranks. But he had heard little about his actual combat prowess. “Assassination is one of many tactics a shinobi employs. It is your inaction, your lack of self-preservation that is truly an embarrassment” he chastised, bearing the Kaguya’s voice but his own spirit. Even now the man formed a clone, further depleting his chakra and instead of rushing for help or initiating an attack he simply waited for his death. Perhaps the man had talent, potential to be strong, but in his current state he was easy prey. Still, a Dagger could be honed.

At least Yuuto had some survival instincts. His cousin held his own and attempted some low level techniques that would amount to little more than a minor inconvenience. The two didn’t know it but they had both already been ensnared in his genjutsu. Dashing forward at 45 Speed he would attempt to close the 35 meter distance between his opponents and the edge of his blood aura. If they attempted to run or otherwise evade being enveloped in the blood mist, they would each feel the intense pain of their legs being dissolved by acid. As he dashed forward he noted Yuuto approach as well as his clone. As the illusionary clone leaped at him, Shinjiro ignored it entirely, dashing toward the other Yuuto until he was within the blood mist and then redirecting to dash toward Abari and his clone. He felt no need to draw any weapons, fighting these two was like sparring with a pair of toddlers. They would need to fair much better if he were to take them even remotely seriously. As far as he was concerned they were both already at his mercy, dead if he wished or his to play with for as long as he desired. “I expected more” he said simply as he assessed their capabilities. Did either of them even have the speed or cunning to defend themselves? If any of his blood touched them, regardless of any armor they would feel it erode through their defenses and their flesh, succumbing them to agonizing pain.

Abari knew he was running low on chakra. He had maybe enough for one or two more decent jutsu, so he needed to make sure that they counted. The blood clone started to perform hand seals as the man dashed towards them. Abari would unleash two Iaido strikes with such speed that they created vacuum blades that launched forward in the original direction of the attack. It was unlikely that they’d do any real damage, but the hope was that it would at least slow down his opponent’s advance and allow him to retreat out of range of the blood mist.

It was strange, the way the Kaguya was fighting earlier gave him the impression that they were a ranged fighter. He had clearly underestimated the man’s physical capabilities. Abari was in a terrible position, he knew it. Add it to the long list of times he had failed horribly and put his life at risk. The only thing he could do was hope that Yuuto could save his ass. Taking a gamble, Abari cleared his mind and willed his clone to do the same. The Yoshin Ougi would help minimize any damage taken as well as allow his clone to close in on his opponent more effectively.

Sending his Chiton clone to intercept, he urged it to get as close as possible to the Kaguya and fire off the jutsu it had just channeled before ultimately being melted away by the acidic blood. In the meantime, Abari would move backwards in order to stay out of range of the blood mist. As he enacted his plan, he was hit with an overwhelming pain. It felt as if his legs were in the hottest, most terrible fire. The pain was some of the most intense he had ever felt and dropped him to his knees, but thanks to the Yoshin Ougi, it didn’t render him paralyzed.

It had to be a genjutsu of some sort, but he was nowhere near strong enough to break something this powerful. It would be up to Yuuto to do something. Desperately, he pushed through the pain in order to retreat further away from the blood mist. At this point he just hoped that his clone's jutsu could do some damage.

By momentarily torquing the muscles in their arms, the practitioner manages slashes so fast that they spawn vacuum blades that follow the trajectory of their original attack. This attack spawns a single vacuum blade that travels up to a number of meters equal to half the practitioner's Speed, rounded down, and hits with 1/2 the Strength of the original attack, rounded down. If this technique is used in tangent with a melee attack, the vacuum blade strikes immediately after the original attack is finished, potentially sealing the opponent's guard and creating an opening. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques.

While in this state, the practitioner can unnaturally twist, bend, and shift their body around the opponent's attacks, seeming to move like an animal as they painlessly and seamlessly contort their bodies, even to the point of freely dislocating and relocating joints on command. Yuuto knew that there was no escape from this, he would have to fight to the bitter end if he had any hopes of getting Abari out of this situation, he watched as Yamato rushed towards him, his body was quick to channel chakra and aim it at Abari's body, he wanted to create a similar armor as his, casting it on to his ally in hopes that the armor would assist him in this dreadful situation. See, Yuuto had no idea that this was all just in his mind, the genjutsu was so powerful that the makeshift genjutsu user was stumped and acted according to Shinjiro's plans.

The armor would cast over Abari slowly, giving him a similar green tunic, chainmail, hat, and pointed ears, it wouldn't defend him against the acidic burn he felt from the genjutsu but it would protect him from whatever would come for him next. "We can't win against this!" Yuuto wasn't one to admit defeat but knew when to cut back and retreat, they needed to regroup and rethink their strategy if they were ever to hope to take on Yamato. Yuuto would turn around and dash towards the end of the field then leap ten meters further away, his skin would burn and for some reason not heal like it usually did, in fact, the pain was a lot worse than it normally was.

Something is not right... Yuuto looked over from his wounds to Abari, he wasn't sure what else he could do other than prepare to leave if Abari managed to escape, otherwise he would try to blind Yamato with his shield then run away.

A message was received by the three tailed Kitsune, or at least the boy's servant who waited outside the stone door of an underground chamber, the servant was a young-looking man with dark tanned skin with a muscular appearance. The message was delivered by a clan elder and the servant, Jizo, knew better than to look at whatever the message might be as he feared the type of punishment from his young master might be if he did so. It was only a short while later that the seal on the stone door was undone from the inside the door split in two halves now and slide to either side. A gentle stream of mist rolled out the door as the shadowy figure of someone from the inside took slow, calculated steps that seemed to quietly echo in the rock enclosed underground area.

Jizo gave his master a deep bow and held out a small scroll, Hisato rolled his neck from one side to the other, having undergone a second spirit merging his body felt different and he stretched lightly before taking the scroll without a word towards the similarly aged servant. His dull grey eyes didn't change much as he read the contents, only the left corner of his thin lips managed to tweak slightly upwards for a brief moment. From behind him the former fur covered tails swayed slightly behind him only they lacked the former beautiful coat that matched his raven fur covered ears. Now they looked more like they were covered in scales of some sort, ones that seemed to almost absorb the ambient light being created in the room through a few torches. "Jizo, you're dismissed for the day."

The servant gave a questioning look but wouldn't dare open his mouth when given and order, only bowed and flashed away with impressive speed that wasn't to inferior to his own in comparison. After all, a strong shinobi needed a strong servant. With Jizo's departure the swordsman walked over to a small stone table and retrieved both of his swords now and affixed them onto his back in their normal positions. "Let me stretch my legs and see this for myself." According to the message, two of the fellow daggers had an altercation with one of the Kaguya, one by the name of Yamato, one that seemed they were on the losing side of. Not wishing for his group to appear weak, still being a dagger himself, the youth prepared to find this man and see for himself. With that he man slowly walked through the dark tunnel towards the light of day about fifty meters at the exit of the tunnel...

Immediately after being informed of the attack Nozomi would quickly use her suiton armor, control speed 50 and control strength 30 just in case. This would make it form and heal almost instantly, at the cost of durability but with such a powerful opponent she was hoping the two layers of healing armor would off set the durability loss but be able to keep up with her opponents speed. After she finished the jutsu she would immediately head to the location and see Yuuto and Abari fighting. They didn’t seem to be doing too good Nozomi really didn’t want to show all her cards to the other swordsman but it didn’t seem like there was much options at the moment.

She would as soon as she was in range see Hisato nearby and nod in acknowledgment to him before moving away from him to avoid giving away his position. Then she would proceed to silence her chakra and footsteps and while the opponent was distracted with Yuutos try to get within 20 meters of them by sneaking in from there blind spot. Once in range she would begin activating a Fuuton jutsu to try and remove the blood aura from there opponent as well as hopefully injure there opponent with the sneak attack. The jutsu would be launched at control strength and speed 40

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will thrust their hands forward as a vortex of wind blasts through with [Control] Speed. The vortex's direction can be controlled. The control, however, is limited; it can only be moved in a 45-degree angle, up to three times. A hit from this vortex packs a large push back force, though the person can avoid being pushed back with more than [Control] Strength. Control of this Jutsu fades after two posts and spans an area 3m wide and up to 25m in length. Direct hits result in long, deep [Control] Strength cuts on the victim's body, covering the whole radius of the techniques point of contact.

This jutsu creates a set of armor at control speed and has control strength that covers the user from head to toe. The Armor looks like the same type of armor that samurai wore. The faceplate on the armor looks like a typical oni mask. The mask still manages to provide the same range of vision someone without the mask would have while a suiton barrier prevents the user from having to sacrifice protection for visibility. The joints in the armor are covered in a suiton membrane that acts like stretchy fabric while still providing the same protection as the rest of the armor. When Nozomi transforms this armor will also cover her wings. Finally the armor enhances the suiton passive to the point that it can repair itself at control speed.

The absolute pinnacle of masking one’s presence Shinji has learned to eliminate his vital signs to such an extent that he can mask his chakra signature completely. He becomes completely undetectable by means of chakra sensory unless the opponent has a sensory jutsu of equal or greater rank. He can mask his chakra in such a way for a maximum of 10 posts.

Shinjiro smirked, Yuuto was making the right decision. He had realized he was outmatched and was retreating to gather reinforcements. There was no sense dying fighting an opponent one could not defeat. However, that meant Abari would be left alone to fend him off. And in that time Shinji would have some fun playing with his prospective Dagger. How would the man fare alone and tired? He was a Special Jounin and the same age as Shinjiro himself but few came even close to the Overseers level of training, the relentless pursuit of perfection. The clone reeked of blood, a risky gambit, increasing the number of attacks but further dividing an already depleted chakra pool.

Shifting his stance, the visage of Yamato would grin as he bounded towards his prey. Taking long strides, body low he moved like a wild animal. Soaked in his own poisonous blood the man seemed to flicker suddenly, leaving an after-image in his wake as the orb of blood was shot toward him, moving away from the clone and flanking the real Abari he narrowly dodged each air slash, shifting his body and dropping to all fours as the ducked under the first one before leaping and bounding gracefully over the second. Launching himself with ferocious intent toward Abari he pounced, closing the distance in mere moments at an impressive 45 Speed. Knowing his opponent was a swordsman however he expected him to utilize kenjutsu once more. But he wouldn’t rely solely on his 15 meter radius aura of blood that would not only feel like acid but seep paralyzing poison into one's pores. As soon as Abari made his attack the ferocious man would suddenly change trajectory, leaving another afterimage as he kicked off the air itself as he leaped up and over Abari from a height of 5 meters. Carefully finding an opening in Abari’s defense he slashed with his bare hands, launching blades of blood from his fingernails aimed to strike the man nonlethally but shred across his back and shoulders.

If Abari was struck and rendered paralyzed he would attempt to grab the man and use him as a human shield against his clone, continuing to hold him there by the time Nozomi arrived and launched her Fuuton technique. ‘It’s been a while since I’ve tested her’ he considered. His own daughter, monstrous in her own right had been rapidly progressing over the last year. He would have to hold back more than expected if he wanted to keep from revealing himself. Without Kenjutsu and Kaerujutsu he wondered how many members of his organization he could defeat. Who else would show up to punish one who would dare attempt to assassinate one of their comrades. For even the lowest ranked Dagger of the Seven Swordsman stood as a symbol and a representative of them all.

Whether he managed to paralyze Abari or not he would utilize his superior speed to ensure he put Abari in between himself and the powerful Fuuton vortex. Perhaps this strategy would have worked better with Yuuto, for Nozomi had no compassion or humanity to speak of. But still, he wondered if she would sacrifice such a promising shinobi whom he had discussed was a top candidate to take the place as his newest Dagger.

He can easily distinguish scents between people as well as pick up on trails that are several days old. His passive range is equal to his Willpower stat though for particularly strong smells such as blood or decay he can detect from a distance of [Willpowerx5] meters away. When in a transformed state of an animal with a strong sense of smell such as a canine the range of his sense of smell is doubled.

If his opponent doesn’t have a perception/motion tracking technique of equal or greater rank then Shinjiro’s actual movements will be invisible to the eye, leaving only an afterimage of himself in his wake that will persist for a full post before fading.

The user makes a full sprint at their target, using their legs to rapidly move to the left or right of any incoming attacks. If this works they will unleash a flurry of strikes to take full advantage of the situation and end the fight quickly.

After dipping his claws or a bladed weapon in blood Shinji can make a powerful slash that launches a line of blood from each bladed surface used. These thin lines of blood can travel for 15 meters at a Speed and Strength equal to 4/5’s Shinji’s Strength stat. This technique can be used multiple times in quick succession though each time blood must be reapplied to the weapon.

Shinji has developed a keen sense of awareness of his environment. His innate attention to detail allows him to memorize the layout of an area or building as well as having a knack for identifying the entrances and exits as well as the positions of any other people in the area and even important details about that person, allowing him to see through disguises or transformations unless the opponent has a technique to mask their appearance of equal or greater rank. This grants him an almost a sixth sense in combat situations and his constant readiness allows him to more easily detect hostile intent and escape from ambushes.

A skill to maximize efficiency of movement, Shinji has learned to utilize his head and body movements to avoid incoming attacks without sacrificing maneuverability or speed. So long as he is able to anticipate an opponents attacks he can make minor ducks, shifts and weaves out of the path of most incoming strikes and projectiles, often allowing him to capitalize on counters based on the openings that a miss provides. Though typically Shinji must be able to perceive an incoming attack, after he has evaded a maneuver once he is far more likely to be able to anticipate and predict an opponent’s attack pattern, often beginning his evasion or block the instant an opponent begins their attack.

Lethal Precision

Shinjiro has fine tuned his accuracy with his strikes to the point where he can consistently target even a moving target within 1mm of precision as well as being able to find openings in his opponents guard and capitalize on those openings so long as his Speed is greater than or equal to that of his opponent unless they have an adequate defensive technique. This includes his use of bladed weapons and his own limbs.

A-Rank Coating Poison
A poison utilized by Shinjiro in order to render his victim's helpless, paralyzed from the neck down. In its original state this thick poison has a grey coloration though when infused in Shinjiro’s body it can be applied from any of his bodily fluids including his blood, saliva or sweat. Just a few drops introduced to the victim's system via entry though skin contact, blood stream or mucous membrane is enough for the poison to begin taking effect. It will begin as a slight tingling sensation in the area surrounding the entry point of the poison, before developing into full blown paresthesia of the entire body before the paralysis sets in. Once the paralysis is in place, it will prevent the victim from controlling their conscious motor functions. They will still be able to breath, their heart will continue to function as normal, but they will have no conscious control over their body. The only part not affected is their ability to move their eyes, slightly turn their head, and their ability to speak.

Abari couldn’t believe his eyes. Yamato had apparently been hiding some kind of beast within him. It was not only the movements but also the lethal precision that lay within them. Everything was different, and the red-haired swordsman was not sure how he could get out of this alive. The afterimages left behind by his opponent confirmed what he had already known: this guy was faster than him. As the man effortlessly bypassed his clone, Abari called for it to get closer to him. He desperately tried to stay out of the range of the blood mist as the Kaguya closed the distance, despite the searing pain in his legs. As Yamato continued to get closer, Abari had no choice but to let off a quick Iai strike in an attempt to keep the man away. At that moment, his opponent changed trajectory and leapt into the air.

It was only thanks to the Yoshin Ougi that Abari was able to react to the line of blood that was flung in his direction. Thankfully, the projectile moved slower than the man himself, but it was so perfectly aimed that the red-haired swordsman wouldn’t be able to dodge it by normal means. Through a quick and precise dislocation of the joints in his arms and legs, Abari was able to twist in such an unnatural way that he was able to barely avoid the incoming attacks. Shinjiro landed, and before Abari knew it, he had a jutsu coming at him from behind. This was much faster, and even with the Yoshin Ougi, he wasn't sure he’d be able to dodge it. So he had no choice but to use the Change of Body Stance Technique in order to swap places with his clone. He cursed his own stupidity, as the clone ended up being a complete waste of chakra.

Apparently, the attack came from a newcomer. From the looks of it, Yuuto had called in other Daggers in an attempt to fight off this attacker. At least, that was the only reason he could think of for them being there. Abari did not know a whole lot about the Daggers, most of his knowledge of the organization was centered around the Swords themselves, but he knew enough to recognize Nozomi.

“Be careful of his blood. I got some of it on me earlier, and it melted right through my clothes and burned my skin. I’m hoping you guys are better at long-distance engagements than I am. I’ll try to keep out of the way of your attacks.”

Drawing upon the superlative speed of Iaido, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their body to draw their sword from its scabbard and deliver a blindingly fast slash before sheathing their blade. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, they cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.

Through incredible amounts of practice, the practitioner of Iaido has learned his weapon and its housing inside and out. This facilitates further use of other Iaido techniques.

In order for Iaido to stand toe to toe with a variety of high-level opponents, refining fundamentals to a new height is necessary. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to more quickly accelerate to max movement speed and decelerate to a full stop at a moment's notice. This does not offer protection against attacks that the practitioner does not know is coming.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a nearby object that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The object used in this jutsu may not be objects that are imbued with chakra or controlled by it unless it is the users own, and they may also only be single, solid objects within a 10 meter radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

As he emerged from the underground tunnel, he finished affixing the pauldron he had received from his master after reaching chuunin and demonstrating his level of swordsmanship to him through a duel. It was known as the 'Focus of the Blade' and had the emblem of his proud organization stamped onto the metal displaying who he belonged to everyone he passed. With his blades affixed and now his shoulder armor in place, the man seemed to disappear leaving only an afterimage as the young Tsukino swordsman began to test out the capacities of his body after the merger and all the training he had undergone. 'My body feels so light...' Hisato spoke to himself in thought, his dull grey eyes scanning the quickly passing environment, flashing by other shinobi who didn't even seem to notice him as he made his way out of the central area and towards the outer rim of the village where the report spoke of the clash between the Kaguya and the two other daggers, his scale covered three tails flicked back and forth as he got use to the different feeling of them. Quickly enough he arrived in the vicinity of the engagement area, his black fur covered fox ears twitched back and forth as homed in on the obvious sounds of battle arrive a few moments after Nozomi had.

He used the edges of structures in the nearby area to move about as he caught the partial exchange with Abari just before the female dagger launched her own assault, seeing the blood swirling around the man Hisato had to make a quick decision, as area type ninjutsu where a bit of a weakness for his preferred close range fighting style. Forming a quick set of hand seals suiton chakra began to come to life as it coated his body, swirling around it and in turn his swords as well that were still sheathed, immediately afterwards as Nozomi launched her wind attack the man closed his eyes for a brief moment and focused his entire core (Eternal Winter), all of his being onto dealing with this single threat who dared to embarrass the Mist Swordsmen, even if it was just his fellow daggers. The young man's muscles physically enlarged as he let out a 'kiai' on himself (Snow Dragon's Claw) the moment his eyes opened as both hands immediately grabbed and unsheathed both the crystalline swords that was translucent in appearance while the other was a matte black that seemed to almost absorb the light as none seemed to reflect from its black color blade.

As the other dagger used a replacement technique, he used the opportunity that Nozomi had created to conduct his own attack from Yamato's now exposed back after he had turned the other dagger (or at least who he thought was the other dagger) towards the incoming wind attack. 'Now!' With a burst of speed and strength he left his position without warning, entering the field of combat as he used his durable suiton armor for the first time in battle, hoping it would hold up as he was still perfecting it before today. "Kiai!" A kiai with a rather low tone escaped the swordsman's thin lips as he entered in range which was designed to send a powerful shock of sound waves against the target's body, mainly the muscles, of the target in an attempt to temporarily weaken them (Fire Dragon's Roar) as he targeted Yamato's back. Using his water armor to brutishly smash through the swirling blood as two slashes came from the left side, the right arm swinging at a high to low diagonal slice followed by the left arm sending what appeared to be a horizonal slash as well at mid torso level. Yet, without any warning the second slash from the translucent blade was able to twist straight into a piercing stab at the last possible moment (Hidden Dragon's Intent and Frost Dragon's Fangs).

The practitioner has learned to strike and defend with movements that shift suddenly and ferociously. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge and mastery of movement and muscle control, to the point that their movements, attacks, and techniques have no telegraphing signs until they are already in motion. This makes it much more difficult for opponents to properly react to the practitioner's actions in combat. Opponents must have a sight-based or sound-based Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique to adequately read the practitioner's movements, attacks, and techniques.

Building upon its parent technique, this Stance sharpens and refines the practitioner's already considerable capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand to the finest point. The level of skill the practitioner has attained allows the practitioner to effectively attack and block from a neutral stance without any detriment. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. While in this Stance, the practitioner can effortlessly ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore all environmental conditions, all forms of fatigue, all forms of pain, and operate within a vacuum or oxygen-void environments up to a number of posts equal to their Endurance stat. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning with pinpoint accuracy in this Stance, and they are able to read the direction, the type, the timing, the speed, and the strength of an attack that is imminent. They are also able to read sudden shifts in muscle contractions very easily, able to perceive almost any feint. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +5 increase to Strength and Willpower but suffers a -5 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish. Most important, however, is this Stance’s ability to break illusions that plague the practitioner’s mind. By channeling and releasing a powerful kiai targeting themselves, the practitioner momentarily forces their brain into unconsciousness while locking their muscles to prevent themselves from falling during this function, breaking any genjutsu they may currently be under but leaving a short opening that can be exploited right before they wake up. Doing this immediately ends the Stance and abruptly awakens the practitioner. Using this function of the stance immediately ends the stance and imposes a -10 Endurance penalty on the practitioner for the remainder of the thread.

Zantou harnesses the inner strength of its warrior to cause the opponent to lose hold of their senses. A more advanced version of its parent technique, the practitioner unleashes a mighty kiai, which bombards the opponent's entire body with violently vibrating sound wave currents. Opponents within a number of meters equal to the practitioners [Strength] must have a Will Power equal to or higher than the practitioner's Will Power and an equal rank Rigid Body technique to fully resist the effect of this technique. Otherwise, any opponents in range of the technique will experience a sense of muscle weakness, resulting in a -9 penalty to Strength for the next five posts in the form of disorientation and extreme nausea to the point of uncontrolled vomiting. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques. The disorientation effect from this technique can be stacked with other disorientation effects and refreshes the post limit for any disorientation effect currently imposed on the opponents.

Torquing the muscles in their arms, the practitioner unleashed a relentless flurry of twisting slashes and thrusts. The unpredictability of this technique, complemented by the practitioner’s already muted movements, makes this one of the deadliest techniques in all of Zantou.

Yuuto slid once he returned, he tossed the water bottle to the side after he drenched his head and wounds in it, he knew that the acid blood tends to stick to dry skin so he figured if his head was a bit wet then the blood would drop with the water, theoretically. Yuuto looked at Nozomi, Hisato, Jizo, and Abari combine their attacks to strike at Yamato, the daggers were here, or at least a lot of them so there was a solid chance that they could scare the fool away. Obviously, Yuuto wouldn't bail on Abari, this was their training session after all, and if the man was still here dealing with this mess then so would the protector.

He channeled chakra to his shield, causing some of the green aura to encircle his already protected shield, this gave him additional protection and would make sure that his shield would last longer in the heat of battle, sure it would cost him a bit of chakra but if used correctly then he could make sure that he returned with it intact, in fact, he should probably look into investing in his shield as well and not just on Judgement, anyhow, the boy focused his chakra on making sure that the extra armor maintained so that he could finally put his attention back on the battlefield.

Having missed but a few minutes the boy didn't want to just jump in and accidentally bump into any of their jutsu, so for now he would be located 55 meters away from the battlefield, he was looking and making sure that he could find his opening. From the looks of things Nozomi had come in in the nick of time to assist Abari from being struck, while Hisato came in with his own Suiton jutsu and appeared to slash at him, this gave Yuuto the idea of rushing in on Yamato's blindside, though realistically knew that the traitor would most likely be aware of the unstealthy soldier creeping on him.

With a mighty leap attack, he would strike in between Hisato's slash and duck under the next, having fought together against raptors had really taught the daggers how their combat strategies worked so it was easy for them to find their flow, once ducked Yuuto would strike at Yamato's knee in order to wound the man before sliding back with his shield raised. "Alright everyone! If we coordinate our attacks correctly then I believe we can take down this poser! For the might of the Seven Swordsmen!" Yuuto would cast a new genjutsu that would boost his allies' confidence, those who had the courage armor such as [Abari & Yuuto], and those who fought on his side would suddenly feel that victory was certain if they saw Yuuto looked at spoke, truth be told, he was slowly running out of chakra but he couldn't let his allies know that, not now, not when they were winning.
